# Lakou Mizik: Nou tout se moun (Pran Ka Mwen)

Multigenerational 8-member group Lakou Mizik from Haiti, performing the song “Nou tout se moun” (called “Pran Ka Mwen” on Lakou Mizik’s first album Wa Di Yo) from a field recording of Francilia made by Alan Lomax in Haiti in 1937. Alan Lomax Haiti collection, AFC 1937/010: AFS 1232 A3. The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress challenged musical artists to interpret material from its unparalleled archive of ethnographic recordings of traditional folk music. Artists were asked to put their own spin on these archival treasures, and to perform them at a special showcase during the Folk Alliance International conference in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2020. The showcase was recorded for this webcast.
