# Ritz Chamber Players Concert

The Ritz Chamber Players are hailed by The Baltimore Sun as "one of the most interesting and dynamic ensembles to emerge in recent years," boasting some of the world's preeminent musicians spanning the African diaspora. Its members perform with prestigious organizations including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, and Philadelphia Orchestra. Interesting, often newly-rediscovered repertoire is a feature of the group's concerts, like the 1839 Louise Farrenc piano quintet on this program of French and American composers. Another highlight is the premiere of a new Library of Congress commission from James Lee III, performed by violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins and Terrence Wilson. ; Program: ; \[2:20\] Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson: String Trio (2004) ; \[9:10\] James Lee III: Lament. Sing. Arise (World Premiere) Commissioned by the McKim Fund in the Library of Congress ; \[21:28\] Louise Farrenc: Piano Quintet no. 1 in A minor, op. 30 (1839) ; \[30:22\] William Grant Still: Ennanga (1958) ; \[1:08:20\] Claude Debussy: Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp (1915) ; \[1:29:53\] Adolphus Hailstork: Summer.
