# Various Television Recordings (May 1999)

A LAW & ORDER double bill for you in this portion of one of the last tape my mom ever recorded in (fittingly enough) New York. First is the ninth-season's movie-length finale, "Refuge", as aired on May 26, 1999 over NBC flagship station WNBC in New York. Then, a rerun of the first-ever LAW & ORDER episode, "Prescription for Death", as aired on A&E May 31, 1999. COMMENT: Sometimes I did dubs of the same off-air tapes I had multiple times over; this was one of them. I dubbed it on Christmas Day in 2014 (and it's one in a line of dubs I did of it that began in July); I happen to like this one better than the dub I used to extract commercial breaks from for YouTube (https://youtu.be/JzHjzY15COk, https://youtu.be/GEdyNvYrljE) because I felt that the picture I used for this particular dubbing was far more stable and better controlled than the one on the dub I used for the YouTube extractions; the dub on the disc derived also is superior at capturing closed-caption information.

Not offered: its uploader states a Creative Commons licence, but that it is the rights holder's is not shown: its record does not date the work from 2002, when the licences were first published, or the work is another's (an older work under a later date, or a video set to another's song), and nothing else the site holds shows where it is free. Unclear is not offered.
