# THE CABLE GUY 1996 VHS RIP

A VHS-sourced transfer of The Cable Guy (1996), taken from an original home‑video cassette. This rip preserves the analog qualities of the tape, including color bleed, tape grain, and tracking noise typical of mid‑90s Columbia/TriStar home‑video releases. The dark comedy follows a lonely and increasingly unhinged cable installer who forces his way into the life of an unsuspecting customer, blending satire, thriller elements, and off‑kilter humor. Over time, the film has gained a cult following for its unusual tone, Jim Carrey’s eccentric performance, and its snapshot of 1990s media culture. This upload is intended for preservation, research, and historical reference.
