# Meet Mr Termite

Meet Mr. Termite is a vintage silent footage for an educational documentary short film produced by F. H. Clough that explores the biology and destructive impact of termites across the United States. Using animated title cards, striking macro photography , and location footage, the film introduces termite castes — including winged swarmers and worker termites — and documents their colony behavior before pivoting to the catastrophic property damage they cause, from hollowed-out home foundations and destroyed books to compromised railroad ties , telephone poles , and electrical transmission towers . A US map illustrates their wide geographic range, and an on-site structural inspection underscores the economic stakes, making the film a broad warning about termites as a nationwide threat to both private property and public infrastructure .
