# Timber Bridge No. 2

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Video VH-289 Timber Bridge No. 2 Modern timber bridges built with local labor from local Northeastern hardwood are described and promoted in this video. PennDOT's timber bridge research is described, and a pilot project was taped. Bridge design, materials research, timber selection and milling, beam fabrication, and onsite construction are described to inspire public confidence in the strength and durability of modern timber bridges.
