# Cartoon Network commercials July 2000

I’m back with our first Cartoon Network compilation, recorded in Seattle like most of my cable stuff. It’s whittled down from 6+ hours of the Powerpuff Girls, with only a brief (possibly accidental) detour to Seattles then-UPN station KSTW. If I must be honest, Cartoon Network in this era is a mixed bag for me personally, because while plenty of their interstitials and classic cartoons fill me with nostalgia, a lot of their original shows make me cringe to this day because of how gender relations and female characters in general are portrayed (and PPG is no exception unfortunately). If you don’t know what I’m talking about… search your feelings, you know it to be true. But I’m gonna stay off that soapbox here because we’re here to feel good. So get ready for not just a ton of Cartoon Cartoon nostalgia, but also the height of Pokemania, and general post-Y2k pre-9/11 merriment. As well as promotional material related to two pieces of once-lost media now mostly-found media, Uncle Gus and JBVO. Recorded with no thought of whether or not the full productions would ever see the light of day again. I mean, I asked for Powerpuff Girls, I got Powerpuff Girls. If any YouTube user wants to reupload this, please give me credit. Cartoon Network 1. Woody Woodpecker toys at Dairy Queen (partial) 2. Oil of Olay 3. CNN.com 4.
