# 2000 VHS • The End Times 60 FPS

Produced by Questar and directed by Lad Allen, this evangelical documentary walks through Christ's end-times prophecies as recorded in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, using commentary from theologians Tim LaHaye, Ed Hindson, and Thomas Ice. It opens two days before the crucifixion, with Jesus predicting the destruction of Herod's temple, and frames everything that follows through the disciples' questions on the Mount of Olives. The program covers the signs Christ foretold -- false messiahs, wars, famine, earthquakes, and pestilence -- citing Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite's Heaven's Gate, and David Koresh as modern examples of false Christs, and connecting the Four Horsemen of Revelation to the same sequence. The documentary then turns to Israel's role in prophetic chronology: the 1917 Balfour Declaration, the Holocaust, Israel's recognition as a state on May 14, 1948, and the Six-Day War's recovery of Jerusalem in 1967. A second major section lays out a premillennial scenario beginning with the Rapture, followed by seven years of Tribulation, the Antichrist's rise from a European confederacy, a peace treaty brokered with Israel allowing the temple to be rebuilt, and the mid-Tribulation betrayal when the Antichrist demands worship and institutes the mark of the beast (666). Jews who flee are depicted taking refuge in Petra, the ancient city carved from rock in Jordan. The film closes with the Battle of Armageddon on the Megiddo Plains, the return of Christ, a thousand-year reign…
