# 1987 VHS • Start Up with Jane Fonda 60 FPS

Start Up with Jane Fonda is a beginner-to-intermediate standing and floor exercise class from Jane Fonda's workout video library, designed as a warm-up and conditioning program for those building toward more demanding routines. Fonda opens with posture fundamentals: lifting the pubic bone toward the navel to lengthen the lower back, pressing shoulders back and down, and keeping the spine long from hip to head. The standing warm-up sequence includes neck stretches, half-circles, arm circles, rib isolations, hip isolations, lateral side bends, forward hang with bent-knee variations, plie sequences in parallel and turned-out positions, heel raises, balance work on the toes, and calf stretches. The floor section addresses abdominals with small curls isolating the muscle between the pubic bone and navel, spinal rotation stretches, and pelvic tilts. The buttocks section uses small pelvic curls performed with hands under the hips in multiple foot positions. The program closes with a seated inner thigh stretch, butterfly position stretch, and a full-body lengthening series on the back. A closing segment features Fonda presenting her full video library, including the New Workout, Easy Going Workout, Low Impact Aerobic Workout, Workout Challenge, Pregnancy Birth and Recovery Workout, Workout with Weights, and Sports Aid. The program runs approximately 35 minutes.
