# 1991 VHS • Pagan Invasion Vol. 2: Invasion of the Godmen 60 FPS

Pagan Invasion Volume 2: Invasion of the Godmen is the second installment of the 13-part Jeremiah Films series hosted by Chuck Smith and Caryl Matrisciana. The program examines the god-consciousness movement and the influence of Indian gurus and yogis on Western society, tracing the phenomenon to the Beatles' 1967 pilgrimage to India and the subsequent popularization of Eastern mysticism among the flower-power generation. The program documents the spread of self-proclaimed godmen into American culture, arguing that figures including Sai Baba, Sri Chinmoy, and others represent a direct spiritual invasion of the West. Actress Shirley MacLaine's public statements claiming personal divinity are used as a prominent example of the movement's mainstream reach. The program includes footage filmed in India and covers the theology of god-consciousness, the claim that all humans are divine, and the argument that this teaching parallels Satan's promise in Genesis 3 that humans could become gods. Experts interviewed include cult researchers and Christian apologists who argue that the Eastern guru movement is spiritually dangerous and theologically incompatible with Christianity. The tape runs approximately 46 minutes.
