# 1994 VHS • Make A Date TV Infomercial 60 FPS

Make a Date is a 1994 television infomercial for a telephone-based dating service billed as America's Premier Dating Network, filmed on location at Boomerangs nightclub in Las Vegas. Host Laura Linnae serves as the Love Guide for the evening, presenting attractive single men and women from around the country who have gathered at the venue for a party event. Viewers are invited to call a number displayed on screen to connect live, one-on-one, with their choice of the singles featured. The program alternates between party footage, individual singles profiles, and calls to action for viewers to phone in. Participants are briefly introduced by name, physical description, and stated interests or occupations. The service is presented as completely private, discreet, and rejection-proof, and is described as available 24 hours a day. The infomercial appears to have been broadcast on WB 49 or a comparable independent station in a late-night time slot.
