# Roseanne And Tom: Behind The Scenes (1994)

One-time " Roseanne " guest-stars Patrika Darbo and Stephen Lee slip into the roles of Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold for a 1994 docudrama chronicling their tumultuous marriage. Unauthorized TV movie biographies were all the rage that year, and this is the better of the two that were rushed into production following the implosion of the Arnold marriage (Fox's " Roseanne: An Unauthorized Biography " was universally panned, although it received a VHS release and was rerun numerous times on Lifetime). In a truly bizarre move which was documented by The Washington Post , Roseanne announced plans to appear throughout the original NBC broadcast to provide personal commentary, but she changed her mind and backed out ten days before the film's Halloween premiere. NBC reran the movie once in 1995, but it was never issued on home video and I've not seen it broadcast anywhere else since.
