# Orangutans : Just Hangin' On

Orangutans are gentle, intelligent primates that are remarkably similar to humans. Once found in tropical jungles throughout Southeast Asia, they now live only on two islands in Indonesia. Their numbers have dropped sharply due to poaching for the illegal pet trade, the loss of their jungle homes to industry, and expanding human populations. Orangutans have become one of the most endangered species on the planet. 1 videocassette (60 min.) : 1/2 in VHS Title from container Narrated by George Page
