# SOVIET BORDER GUARDS RUSSIAN ARMY COLD WAR PROPAGANDA MOVIE 78324

Made in the wake of the Prague Spring, WE BORDER TROOPS is a Soviet film directed at the members of the Soviet Army who are tasked with defending the nation's borders — and presumably stopping those who would like to flee the great socialist nation. This film presents a kinder, gentler look at Soviet border guards, who stop to speak to mothers and grandmothers. The Soviet Coast Guard is seen at the 3 minute mark, conducting a full scramble and deploying radios and attack dogs. At the 5 minute mark, the alarm has spread to other members of the armed forces and a full-scale military exercise with live fire is shown. The film also includes some great scenes such as sailors dancing in a disco at the 7:15 mark. Anyone out there who speaks Russian is encouraged to add some translation to the film! This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD and 2k. For more information visit http://www.PeriscopeFilm.com
