# Civil Defense In Schools 29192

Produced in 1958 by the Office of Civil Defense and Mobilization and Norwood Studios, "Civil Defense in Schools" shows how teachers and staff can organize and implement emergency plans in case of an atomic attack. The film begins with images of students conducting an emergency tornado drill and talks about how a new level of preparedness is required in the atomic age. Interestingly, the film shows that much of the burden for implementing an "atomic plan" fell upon local school districts and school boards. It was filmed in Rockville, Maryland. This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD and 2k. For more information visit http://www.PeriscopeFilm.com
