# 2013 USA TV Commercials

In 2013, I realized that I wasn't videotaping anymore, and unlike the days of yore, there would be no good backup of TV commercials. So I began to skim through my DVR and hit a variety of channels to try to preserve the current advertising. Suffice it to say that this was a tedious and short-lived trend, with the majority of ads coming from broadcasts in September of that year. In total, I captured 6 hours of commercials, with a minimum of repeats. When I decided to put them on the archive, I began separating the commercials and soon realized that the average length of the clips are 15 seconds -- as tedious as recording had been, extracting them was worse! With over 250 commercials cut into separate files, I grew weary of the notion of finishing the rest, so I just stuck the full DVD files at the bottom of the list. In summary, there's around 2 hours of split and labeled commercials here, plus an additional 4-hour grab-bag of random advertisements.
