Kurt Beschorner, PhD, shares about his extramural research, which resulted in a new computer model that helps predict the impact of shoe tread on friction. Dr. Beschorner is a Research Assistant Professor at University of Pittsburgh. NIOSH funds his study through a large occupational safety and health research grant (R01).
