# CLDJ comes together to support the Djiboutian Community (1006660)

U.S. service members assigned to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, fill, load, and emplace sandbags at Caritas Orphanage, April 26, 2026. In late December and early January, the orphanage experienced severe monsoon flooding, which resulted in the loss of critical medical supplies and temporary displacement for residents. The Friends of Africa Volunteers conducted this humanitarian effort to alleviate future flooding. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Alicia Campbell)
