# Harvest (20200823-NRCS-LSC-1119)

Handheld video view with inspection doors open, the major components that consist of hundreds of rotating spindles (right), spindle grease moisturizing pads, doffers, and the greased spindle head rotation mechanism of the cotton picker head assembly of a motorized harvester during the Schirmer family cotton harvest, in Batesville, TX, on August 23, 2020. A special grease is essential for the cotton bolls to be pulled from the plant before being vacuumed into the harvester basket. Operators must clear the buildup of debris in the picker head to prevent friction and efficiently work.
