# Little City in Space Farther Out

1 episodes.

Coming on the heels of the Little City in Space nationally syndicated hour, the "Little City in Space Farther Out" series hung more loose, frequently hilarious and/or fascinating. This episode from September, 5th, 1990, is both. Sole Host Stu Mathews brings his own take to The Golden Cage of Radio by playing classic old clips. Damon insists on being voted the Leader of the Expedition. There's a visit with the Space Fire Girls and their surface-of-the-ship cookout. Perhaps it is no mistake that Slapp Happy and Henry Cow share musical turf with Extra Socks and their "Bi-Dimensional Noh Music." Sponsors include Oyster Laboratories Plaster Dab, a rare Big 13 Store ad, and Freimannhonger's Toaster Dressing. Post-Voiders include Damon Mathews, Stu Mathews, Jeff Pike, and Peter Stenshoel. Talent includes Brian Anderson, Johnny Olson, and Danny Olson. Special thanks to Rob Ordahl for his sound collage, "Hello, Doctor."

Nothing here is called public domain on this site's say-so. In the United States, sound recordings first fixed before 15 February 1972 have federal protection under the Music Modernization Act of 2018, for most until 2067 at the latest, so most American radio of the 1930s to the 1950s is not in the public domain there. Each set shows the licence, mark or statement its archive gives, and says whose it is.
