# The Last Broadcast

Heard 2020. 2 episodes.

Inspired by Orson Wells' The War of the Worlds and possibly ABC's The Day After, The Last Broadcast captures the terror of a global thermonuclear war sparked off by the invasion of Western Europe by Soviet forces. A terrifying story of the sudden escalation of force, the producers managed to capture the tension of the cold war with a collection of real advertisements from the 80s, news flashes and oldies music. This radio play was created as a class project. If you have any information regarding this story, please add it to the comments and reviews below!

Nothing here is called public domain on this site's say-so. In the United States, sound recordings first fixed before 15 February 1972 have federal protection under the Music Modernization Act of 2018, for most until 2067 at the latest, so most American radio of the 1930s to the 1950s is not in the public domain there. Each set shows the licence, mark or statement its archive gives, and says whose it is.
