# Modern Mechanix, April 1938

Contents War Machines Needed By The United States \[lead article\] Water Treasure Hunting Follow The Fleet How To Train Your Dog The Flood Of New Stamps Fishing For Distant Earthquakes With A Home-Made Seismograph Documentary Evidence ... and many DIY articles, including a SW transmitter, a swing arm sander, an electroplating outfit, etc. Nice "pulpy" cover illustration of a mobile 5-barrel ack-ack battery. Note that this was a water damaged issue and that some of the pages were wrinkled and would not lay flat on the scanner bed. This account for the "hot spots" on some pages.
