[0:05] Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time presented by
[0:07] Speaker 1: prize picks.
[0:09] Speaker 2: My name is Beaumont Jones. Thanks for listening.
[0:11] Speaker 1: Wherever you get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
[0:15] Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
[0:17] Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
[0:20] Speaker 1: a hater. We got a lot of wild quarterback stuff
[0:24] Speaker 1: around this league that we going to talk about, including
[0:29] Speaker 1: they love nasty D now. Oh, excuse me. Dean Asty
[0:33] Speaker 1: up there in Cleveland. We'll get to that in a
[0:35] Speaker 1: little bit. But I don't know how many of you
[0:38] Speaker 1: guys watched the Rams-Broncos game. I imagine tens of millions.
[0:41] Speaker 1: I know that tens of millions of you are not listening,
[0:43] Speaker 1: but I'm talking about the big you. I like to
[0:45] Speaker 1: imagine the whole world could hear me all at one time, right?
[0:48] Speaker 1: Tens of millions of you watched that Broncos game. And
[0:51] Speaker 1: at the end of the first half, because the Broncos
[0:54] Speaker 1: offense looked so bad, and it is clear that they
[0:58] Speaker 1: are scapegoating this Davis Webb guy. as being the problem,
[1:02] Speaker 1: because Sean Payton, the great play caller, all of this stuff, da-da-da,
[1:07] Speaker 1: now they can't seem to get anything going on offense,
[1:10] Speaker 1: and it was 16-0 at the half, and it looked
[1:13] Speaker 1: very clearly to me like the Broncos were about to
[1:16] Speaker 1: be 1-2 in a division with two 3-0 teams.
[1:20] Speaker 2: We'll talk about that part in a minute.
[1:23] Speaker 1: But it looked like they were going to be down
[1:24] Speaker 1: two games out of first place and looking wholly and
[1:29] Speaker 1: totally down. offensively inept, okay? And they managed to come
[1:36] Speaker 1: back and win that game. Now, part of them coming back, well,
[1:41] Speaker 1: hold on, let me pause. I got ahead of myself
[1:44] Speaker 1: because I want to tell you what happened at halftime.
[1:46] Speaker 1: That was where I was starting. So I sent text
[1:49] Speaker 1: messages out to friends of the program that are, they
[1:56] Speaker 1: football film.
[1:57] Speaker 2: People, right?
[1:59] Speaker 1: And I was like, hey, man, what's your read on
[2:03] Speaker 1: what's wrong with the offense? OK, three out of the
[2:06] Speaker 1: four people hit me back and they all had the
[2:10] Speaker 1: same answer.
[2:12] Speaker 3: Bo Nix.
[2:13] Speaker 1: Now, I know that there are a lot of people
[2:15] Speaker 1: that think I just refuse to move off of my
[2:17] Speaker 1: priors with Bo Nix. I believe that all y'all doing
[2:22] Speaker 1: is listening to Jim Nance. Okay, now look, I'm listening
[2:27] Speaker 1: to some other people on this in part two. I'm
[2:30] Speaker 1: just telling you, I watched that motherfucker play for 10
[2:33] Speaker 1: years before.
[2:34] Speaker 2: He got to the NFL and you're just not going
[2:36] Speaker 2: to tell me that none of that mattered.
[2:38] Speaker 3: You're not.
[2:39] Speaker 2: Ryan, you watched him for 10 years too.
[2:42] Speaker 4: Right.
[2:42] Speaker 2: You saw this.
[2:44] Speaker 1: You remember when you were in school at LSU and
[2:46] Speaker 1: you went to that LSU Auburn game and Bo Nix
[2:49] Speaker 1: was in his junior year?
[2:51] Speaker 2: You remember that?
[2:52] Speaker 3: Might as well have been.
[2:53] Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
[2:55] Speaker 2: Like, I'm sorry.
[2:56] Speaker 3: We're almost the same age.
[2:57] Speaker 2: We see it. But anyway.
[3:01] Speaker 1: If you keep Bo Nix in the pocket, ain't really
[3:04] Speaker 1: much he could do. So what Peyton had been doing and.
[3:08] Speaker 1: when things are going better with Webb is when they
[3:10] Speaker 1: figure out how to get him rolling to the right.
[3:12] Speaker 1: You ever hear Collinsburg talk about that in the game?
[3:14] Speaker 1: It's a high school sort of situation, right? Because you
[3:17] Speaker 1: roll to the right, I'm assuming you're making it.
[3:18] Speaker 2: Half the field for that very reason.
[3:21] Speaker 1: Like, you know, it's some people that you would judge
[3:25] Speaker 1: for that shit sometimes, right? But anyway, that's the issue
[3:31] Speaker 1: they got is him right there. And I feel bad
[3:34] Speaker 1: for this Davis Webb, and here's why. If Davis Webb
[3:38] Speaker 1: can't consistently call a game that works for Bo Nix
[3:41] Speaker 1: and they go to Sean Payton and Sean Payton can,
[3:44] Speaker 1: that is not an indicator that Davis Webb can't call plays.
[3:48] Speaker 1: That speaks to Sean Payton being.
[3:50] Speaker 2: S tier at this play calling thing.
[3:53] Speaker 1: But anyway, second half, they got things rolling a little better.
[3:59] Speaker 1: On top of it, they got a helping hand from
[4:01] Speaker 1: three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Matthew Stafford.
[4:05] Speaker 2: Through that pick six.
[4:06] Speaker 3: Potential top five quarterback of all time.
[4:08] Speaker 2: Don't do that.
[4:09] Speaker 1: Don't do that because then the whole show gets thrown
[4:11] Speaker 1: off and I've been going.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Back to this shit.
[4:13] Speaker 1: I've been saying for 15 years.
[4:15] Speaker 2: We don't need that right now. We don't need that. Okay?
[4:19] Speaker 3: Anyway. Future Hall of Famer Matt Stafford.
[4:23] Speaker 2: Okay, I'm coming to the... I can't do nothing about
[4:26] Speaker 2: that part. That's just going to happen.
[4:28] Speaker 4: Okay?
[4:29] Speaker 1: Not future Hall of Famer Matt Ryan is up here like, oh,
[4:32] Speaker 1: so really all we had to do was give three
[4:33] Speaker 1: more points, huh? And the answer is So anyway, Stafford
[4:43] Speaker 1: threw that pick six. Broncos got it going. Bo Nix
[4:47] Speaker 1: threw two awful interceptions, but only one of them counted.
[4:53] Speaker 1: First one, I don't know what was going on. Anyway,
[4:58] Speaker 1: the second one. Now, Ryan, I understand that under no
[5:02] Speaker 1: circumstances in your Louisiana heart and soul, will you be
[5:07] Speaker 1: able to have any level of sympathy for Sean McVay
[5:12] Speaker 1: being on the wrong side of a pass interference call?
[5:15] Speaker 1: I forgot Sean Payton was there for that also. That
[5:19] Speaker 1: was such an awful pass interference call. It was an
[5:21] Speaker 1: incredible interception that my man made on the sideline, in
[5:25] Speaker 1: the red.
[5:26] Speaker 2: Zone, huge play, bad pass, all of it.
[5:31] Speaker 1: And they called pass interference. And the look on Sean
[5:34] Speaker 1: McVay's face, right? Just, just, just, I saw it there.
[5:40] Speaker 1: I saw it there. I say all that to say,
[5:43] Speaker 1: it was a great game. And talk about two teams
[5:47] Speaker 1: that should be coming out.
[5:48] Speaker 2: Of it being like, we got, we got some things
[5:52] Speaker 2: to figure out. We got some things to work out.
[5:55] Speaker 3: You always talk about point differential. The Broncos, 2-1 with
[5:58] Speaker 3: a point differential of minus 10.
[5:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, because they got beat by a gazillion points in
[6:02] Speaker 1: the first week of the year. Look, that offense is
[6:05] Speaker 1: going to be an issue. I think this is maybe
[6:09] Speaker 1: the best way to put it. They have a limited quarterback.
[6:12] Speaker 1: So to me, even if you figure out like schematically
[6:15] Speaker 1: how to get this thing going through the regular season, and.
[6:18] Speaker 2: It's possible that as a play caller, Webb will.
[6:21] Speaker 1: Improve because he's new to the thing and everything else
[6:23] Speaker 1: or Sean Payton takes it over or whatever. But it
[6:26] Speaker 1: doesn't change the fact that they have a limited quarterback. Now,
[6:29] Speaker 1: in the playoffs last year, they got, I guess, kind
[6:31] Speaker 1: of lucky. Bo Nix had that big game against Buffalo
[6:35] Speaker 1: and then he didn't play the next round. So we
[6:37] Speaker 1: don't know what it would have looked like when he
[6:39] Speaker 1: was up against New England, right? Maybe he would not
[6:42] Speaker 1: have seemed to be limited there.
[6:43] Speaker 2: I'm not sure. He seems quite limited now.
[6:48] Speaker 1: Maybe you think he can figure out how to work
[6:50] Speaker 1: around those limitations, but they're trying to win with a
[6:53] Speaker 1: limited quarterback.
[6:54] Speaker 2: With a limited.
[6:55] Speaker 1: Quarterback and what they hope to be an excellent defense,
[6:58] Speaker 1: and they have not looked like an excellent defense so
[7:01] Speaker 1: far this year.
[7:02] Speaker 2: I think that's a fair point to throw out there.
[7:05] Speaker 1: Okay.
[7:05] Speaker 4: Okay.
[7:06] Speaker 1: With the rams they're one and two my question as
[7:10] Speaker 1: to whether or not uh australia could ruin their whole
[7:13] Speaker 1: season now that's looking like a probably not like i
[7:16] Speaker 1: think they've gotten to the place they've shaken that off
[7:17] Speaker 1: san francisco still hasn't lost though they got to play
[7:21] Speaker 1: uh the bum ass dolphins and the not as bummy
[7:24] Speaker 1: as we thought but probably not good arizona cardinals okay
[7:28] Speaker 1: But for the Rams, they're looking at Miles Garrett for
[7:31] Speaker 1: probably about six weeks.
[7:32] Speaker 3: Something like that, yeah.
[7:33] Speaker 2: Okay, that's what we're.
[7:34] Speaker 1: Looking at with him being out. They're doing this 13
[7:39] Speaker 1: offense that I don't think you do that as much
[7:43] Speaker 1: as they do that unless you're trying to hide a
[7:45] Speaker 1: little something.
[7:46] Speaker 2: What did they say they had?
[7:47] Speaker 1: Was it four active, like five active tight ends and
[7:50] Speaker 1: four active receivers in that game?
[7:53] Speaker 3: That's what happens when you're, all pro wide receivers out
[7:56] Speaker 3: for an undetermined amount of time.
[7:58] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[7:58] Speaker 1: And don't worry, he'll be back. And you know, what's
[7:59] Speaker 1: going to happen. He going to be out again. He,
[8:04] Speaker 1: he got a lot of camps, get out a little.
[8:05] Speaker 3: Yeah. You know what I mean?
[8:07] Speaker 1: A lot of Jackson dart in them. Talk about that
[8:10] Speaker 1: whole situation a little later too. But I did not
[8:14] Speaker 1: feel like you, you come out of there. If you're
[8:15] Speaker 1: the Broncos and you're happy that you won and it's nights,
[8:18] Speaker 1: you've been drinking all day. I don't think you come
[8:21] Speaker 1: out of that looking at either team. Like, oh, man,
[8:24] Speaker 1: I think you got to watch out for them. I
[8:26] Speaker 1: think we're looking at those teams like, man, there are
[8:28] Speaker 1: questions to be asked. I think that's fair to say.
[8:32] Speaker 1: They got to do cold water on everybody. And I'm
[8:35] Speaker 1: going to take a different approach to the other game
[8:37] Speaker 1: of the week that we watch, which was the Ravens
[8:39] Speaker 1: and the Cowboys, simply because I found that game, Ryan,
[8:42] Speaker 1: to be a hoot.
[8:44] Speaker 3: Yes.
[8:45] Speaker 2: I still, you know.
[8:50] Speaker 1: I'm just curious what would happen because they play these
[8:53] Speaker 1: games in Rio and they play them in a couple
[8:55] Speaker 1: of other places that.
[8:57] Speaker 2: I.
[9:00] Speaker 1: Guess my question is, Ryan, what do you think would
[9:04] Speaker 1: happen if the NFL played these games in Rio and
[9:09] Speaker 1: there was what I will call a harmless kidnapping?
[9:17] Speaker 2: A harmless kidnapping.
[9:19] Speaker 1: Remember when I had that run last year while I
[9:22] Speaker 1: was reading all those books about people hijacking planes?
[9:25] Speaker 4: Yes.
[9:25] Speaker 2: And most of the time when the planes got hijacked,
[9:28] Speaker 2: nobody got hurt.
[9:29] Speaker 1: They just took the plane and took a little detour
[9:31] Speaker 1: to Cuba, some money was exchanged, and then boom, everybody
[9:34] Speaker 1: went on about their business. It was mostly harmless hijackings.
[9:39] Speaker 1: When they were harmful, it was usually harmful to the
[9:44] Speaker 1: hijackers themselves.
[9:45] Speaker 4: Yes.
[9:46] Speaker 2: But overall, harmless hijacking.
[9:49] Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like, them cats go down there and
[9:51] Speaker 1: they rob.
[9:51] Speaker 2: One of them big motherfuckers, right?
[9:52] Speaker 1: Come get them, put them in the truck, make a
[9:55] Speaker 1: little ransom exchange, and then they back for kickoff.
[9:58] Speaker 3: Like, it's over. in 24 hours.
[10:01] Speaker 2: Not even that long.
[10:02] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[10:03] Speaker 2: Not even that long, right? Because they're going to get
[10:04] Speaker 2: the money up.
[10:05] Speaker 5: Right.
[10:05] Speaker 2: They're not going to, you know. All I'm saying is,
[10:07] Speaker 2: I just don't know. Let's keep going to these dangerous places.
[10:09] Speaker 1: I always wonder what will happen if one day, you know,
[10:12] Speaker 1: they're just about to get bit by some ambitious people.
[10:15] Speaker 2: Because you know somebody's thought about it.
[10:16] Speaker 4: Of course.
[10:17] Speaker 1: Right? Because these are places where that's just what they do.
[10:20] Speaker 4: Right.
[10:20] Speaker 2: Right? Like, they need a little bread. All right, man,
[10:22] Speaker 2: let's go yolk somebody up. Don't worry, we'll give you back.
[10:25] Speaker 1: Right? They'll probably be sitting around playing Xbox and shit. Like,
[10:27] Speaker 1: not even, that ain't a really big deal. They ain't
[10:29] Speaker 1: even got to send them sad messages.
[10:31] Speaker 2: Hello, I am fine. These people are serious. Please give
[10:35] Speaker 2: them their money. No, you ain't even got to do that.
[10:36] Speaker 1: They're just like, hey, man, let's tell you people. Like,
[10:39] Speaker 1: we can handle this like some gentlemen. You know what
[10:40] Speaker 1: I'm saying?
[10:41] Speaker 3: I think Venmo, you know.
[10:42] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[10:43] Speaker 2: Like, I didn't even care. This guy come back and
[10:44] Speaker 2: play a game.
[10:44] Speaker 1: You know, playing, you know, after a long night, they
[10:48] Speaker 1: turned that into a hero story.
[10:50] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[10:51] Speaker 3: He might have had a tough night of sleep, you know.
[10:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, they might even lie about it and talk about
[10:54] Speaker 1: it like he fought his way out. Yeah.
[10:56] Speaker 2: As one tough hombre.
[10:58] Speaker 4: All right.
[11:00] Speaker 1: I didn't even have to say that. I'd just been
[11:02] Speaker 1: thinking about this all weekend. Ryan can best... I can't
[11:05] Speaker 1: attest to it. I was like, what would happen if
[11:07] Speaker 1: there was a harmless kidnapping? Anyway, I just found that
[11:11] Speaker 1: game to be fun. It is easy to come in judgmentally.
[11:15] Speaker 1: about this game uh obviously it's easy to come in
[11:18] Speaker 1: judgmental of the cowboys i feel like it became a
[11:20] Speaker 1: little difficult to be judgmental of the ravens because this
[11:23] Speaker 1: was not the ravens getting walked down like they played
[11:26] Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter offensively well um granted they were
[11:30] Speaker 1: playing against the make a wish foundation but nonetheless by
[11:34] Speaker 1: the way right top to bottom we thought this was
[11:36] Speaker 1: going to be a terrible game because they had the
[11:37] Speaker 1: problems with the field and everything else and none.
[11:39] Speaker 2: Of that came up that that's what got us thinking.
[11:42] Speaker 1: About the harmless kidnapping anyway um the Ravens led a
[11:48] Speaker 1: seven second, a six second game winning drive. I guess
[11:52] Speaker 1: it's seven in total, but they got the ball back
[11:53] Speaker 1: with seven seconds, threw the ball over the middle, got
[11:57] Speaker 1: the timeout, kick the super long field goal. This immediately
[12:01] Speaker 1: after the Cowboys got down to the one yard line
[12:03] Speaker 1: and had a couple of chances and did not.
[12:05] Speaker 2: Score a touchdown. You know, sometimes you just lose.
[12:10] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[12:11] Speaker 2: I feel like that's what happened.
[12:13] Speaker 1: I was, Watching on the TV before I came in here,
[12:15] Speaker 1: Dominique was on TV, and he was doing his John
[12:18] Speaker 1: Madden and breaking down all the things that the Cowboys
[12:22] Speaker 1: did wrong on that play that allowed for the catch
[12:24] Speaker 1: over the middle, that allowed for the long field goal.
[12:28] Speaker 2: And yeah, they did something wrong.
[12:31] Speaker 1: The Ravens also got their asses down there in six
[12:34] Speaker 1: seconds to kick the field goal. Aubrey kicked the ball
[12:38] Speaker 1: through the uprights, so the ball was brought out 2-35.
[12:42] Speaker 4: Right.
[12:43] Speaker 1: So they were starting from a decent. Sometimes you just
[12:46] Speaker 1: lose the game. They got all the way down there.
[12:48] Speaker 1: But the timeout situation was such that they needed to
[12:51] Speaker 1: make sure that if it wasn't that they couldn't throw
[12:53] Speaker 1: a pass that wasn't incomplete or a touchdown.
[12:56] Speaker 6: Right.
[12:57] Speaker 2: These weren't. I just feel like they lost the game.
[13:00] Speaker 5: Right.
[13:00] Speaker 2: Now, why did they lose the game? Because they defenses
[13:03] Speaker 2: to make a wish foundation. Like this is just, this
[13:06] Speaker 2: is just what it is.
[13:07] Speaker 1: Like the Cowboys offense is going to be in a
[13:09] Speaker 1: terrible situation. Ryan, I imagine you've been in this situation
[13:13] Speaker 1: at a job before. I've been in a situation at
[13:16] Speaker 1: a job like this before and it's just no fun
[13:19] Speaker 1: and it's just no fair. And it's when people look
[13:22] Speaker 1: at you and they don't expect nothing else of your coworkers.
[13:28] Speaker 2: So it's your fault if it doesn't get done.
[13:33] Speaker 1: And if it does get done, we're probably going to
[13:36] Speaker 1: go give these other people more credit than they deserve
[13:38] Speaker 1: so they can feel good. That's where the Cowboys offense is.
[13:42] Speaker 1: You know it's the Make-A-Wish Foundation over there. Y'all got
[13:45] Speaker 1: to score a touchdown every time.
[13:47] Speaker 2: So what if it's fair?
[13:49] Speaker 1: If we don't win Dak Prescott, it's because y'all didn't
[13:52] Speaker 1: score a touchdown every time. It's you, it's CeeDee Lamb
[13:55] Speaker 1: and George Pickens. Shouldn't nobody be able to stop y'all, right?
[13:58] Speaker 1: Y'all got that Ferguson dude. Nobody should be able to
[14:02] Speaker 1: stop you. Yeah, but everybody gets stopped. But y'all shouldn't
[14:05] Speaker 1: get stopped, right?
[14:06] Speaker 2: But it happens.
[14:07] Speaker 1: Shouldn't happen right then. Whenever it happened, it should have happened,
[14:10] Speaker 1: which on paper is true. That's what they're going to
[14:14] Speaker 1: have to live with.
[14:16] Speaker 2: All year long.
[14:17] Speaker 1: Because the Make-A-Wish Foundation is bad enough that they're so generous,
[14:21] Speaker 1: but they're so generous, not even spite of it at
[14:24] Speaker 1: this point, largely because they hurt.
[14:27] Speaker 2: They don't have the bodies to get this done. They
[14:32] Speaker 2: simply don't.
[14:34] Speaker 1: And so you're going to wind up like, they're going
[14:36] Speaker 1: to be so fun to watch this year because there's
[14:38] Speaker 1: going to be shootouts.
[14:41] Speaker 3: There's going to be shootouts and George Pickens eventually is
[14:43] Speaker 3: going to get mad.
[14:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, you can.
[14:47] Speaker 1: Live with Pickens getting mad. You just don't need him
[14:50] Speaker 1: to forget where he is.
[14:52] Speaker 3: Yes.
[14:53] Speaker 1: The problems with Pickens are when he just gets detached
[14:57] Speaker 1: and he forgets where he is. I know I've talked
[15:01] Speaker 1: about this many times, but it was that play with
[15:04] Speaker 1: the Steelers where somebody overthrew him and it was an interception.
[15:10] Speaker 1: And the ball's coming back the other way. Like, I
[15:12] Speaker 1: want to say a safety came and intercepted. And the
[15:14] Speaker 1: ball's coming back the other way. And instead, George Pickens
[15:18] Speaker 1: basically attacks the corner who had been checking him. Like,
[15:21] Speaker 1: the game wasn't still going on. Like, he's not a
[15:23] Speaker 1: wide receiver. Like, just a whole bunch of things where
[15:27] Speaker 1: you're just like, why would you do that?
[15:30] Speaker 2: Like, what is this?
[15:32] Speaker 1: We haven't really, what was it? Like, late in the year,
[15:34] Speaker 1: we started getting, like, inklings. Like, we started getting excuses
[15:41] Speaker 1: for not.
[15:41] Speaker 2: Giving him a long-term contract.
[15:43] Speaker 4: Right.
[15:44] Speaker 2: That's what we got.
[15:45] Speaker 1: But I also will say this about the Cowboys and
[15:47] Speaker 1: the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
[15:49] Speaker 2: Broadly, we are hard on the Bengals.
[15:52] Speaker 1: For the fact that they spent all this money on
[15:54] Speaker 1: those two wide receivers, and they got a defense that
[15:57] Speaker 1: just can't get it done as a result. We don't
[16:00] Speaker 1: really do that to the Cowboys, and even if they've
[16:03] Speaker 1: done it in the course of like putting pickings on
[16:07] Speaker 1: the franchise tag, that's still what they've done.
[16:11] Speaker 5: Right?
[16:12] Speaker 2: That's still what they've done. So, look, Ryan, you know this.
[16:19] Speaker 1: You've been doing this for a while on various platforms.
[16:23] Speaker 1: The Cowboys generally are good for business. but this version
[16:27] Speaker 1: of the Cowboys is what's best for business. What's best
[16:31] Speaker 1: for business with the Cowboys. I'm going to just lay
[16:34] Speaker 1: this out for everybody. It's what everybody needs to root for.
[16:37] Speaker 1: Like it's pretty excellent for business. If the Cowboys were
[16:41] Speaker 1: to be like 14 and three, right. That would be
[16:46] Speaker 1: pretty good because then every week you could kind of
[16:49] Speaker 1: like bring them up in some form or fashion.
[16:51] Speaker 3: They would be at every national TV window. Yes.
[16:53] Speaker 4: Yes. Yes.
[16:55] Speaker 2: But they got to bounce it around a little bit, right?
[16:57] Speaker 1: But in my opinion, the best version of the Cowboys
[17:02] Speaker 1: is somewhere around 11-6.
[17:09] Speaker 2: Maybe 10-7. No, no, no, no, no. Hear me out.
[17:13] Speaker 2: Hear me out. Hear me out, right? 11-6, 10-7.
[17:19] Speaker 1: And the reason is that puts them in a place
[17:22] Speaker 1: where they're good enough to beat or compete at the
[17:25] Speaker 1: very least against anybody.
[17:27] Speaker 2: That means they're going.
[17:28] Speaker 1: To get some wins that are a bit over their
[17:30] Speaker 1: head so that everybody gets super excited about it. But
[17:34] Speaker 1: then also you get what's really good for business, a
[17:37] Speaker 1: couple of embarrassing losses. And so we have intrigue going
[17:42] Speaker 1: into every game. Then they make the playoffs in the
[17:45] Speaker 1: wildcard round. So then we get to talk about them there.
[17:49] Speaker 1: And then if you're lucky, they pull out like a
[17:51] Speaker 1: tough win. And then they go play against somebody in
[17:55] Speaker 1: that next round. Now we know they're not going to
[17:57] Speaker 1: get past that next round. We got 30 years of
[18:01] Speaker 1: track record to indicate that's not going to happen. But
[18:03] Speaker 1: if they can get to that round and then just
[18:06] Speaker 1: do something stupid at the very end, We can step
[18:10] Speaker 1: on that dope that whole week, and it'll still hit
[18:13] Speaker 1: good as new.
[18:15] Speaker 2: Right?
[18:16] Speaker 1: That's what we need. So I'm feeling right now, we
[18:19] Speaker 1: got the one and two Cowboys with an excellent offense
[18:23] Speaker 1: and a bad defense and a quarterback that we all
[18:27] Speaker 1: think is very good, but none of us think is
[18:31] Speaker 1: quite good enough.
[18:33] Speaker 3: With a nice soft part of the schedule coming up.
[18:35] Speaker 2: Oh, who we got?
[18:36] Speaker 3: We got... At the Texans.
[18:40] Speaker 2: Okay.
[18:42] Speaker 3: Road game. Versus the potentially bakerless Bucs.
[18:47] Speaker 2: Ooh, and I think he will be bakerless. Okay.
[18:49] Speaker 4: Okay.
[18:50] Speaker 3: At the Packers.
[18:52] Speaker 4: Ooh.
[18:54] Speaker 3: And then you play at the Eagles on Monday Night Football.
[19:00] Speaker 1: Okay, so they could be 4-2 going into that game.
[19:03] Speaker 1: But they could also go into that game at 3-3.
[19:08] Speaker 1: And I think the Eagles are going to be the
[19:10] Speaker 1: Tyson Bajet-led Bears, but the.
[19:13] Speaker 2: Eagles are a little teetery. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they doing
[19:18] Speaker 2: it for us, baby. Way to go, NFL. Appreciate you.
[19:26] Speaker 1: Brian, I just realized I had on my Rio de
[19:28] Speaker 1: Janeiro t-shirt while talking about the Rio de Janeiro.
[19:32] Speaker 2: I did not do it on purpose, by the way.
[19:34] Speaker 2: I did not think of it.
[19:35] Speaker 3: It's just dope.
[19:36] Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
[19:36] Speaker 1: Well, I'm also trying to do a little better about
[19:39] Speaker 1: the wrinkles. Like, I admit, the idea of ironing my
[19:45] Speaker 1: shirt so I can go from over there to over here.
[19:48] Speaker 3: It's just... Yes.
[19:50] Speaker 2: It's a little tough.
[19:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, I understand.
[19:53] Speaker 1: And I didn't realize how strong these wrinkles have been
[19:56] Speaker 1: coming through. Man, I did a show with Maury Povich,
[19:58] Speaker 1: and I looked down at my sweatshirt during that show,
[20:01] Speaker 1: and my shit was embarrassingly wrinkled. And I said to them, damn,
[20:04] Speaker 1: I didn't realize my shirt was wrinkled. They're like, oh, no,
[20:06] Speaker 1: it didn't come up on camera. Man, I looked at
[20:08] Speaker 1: that video.
[20:11] Speaker 2: It came up on camera.
[20:13] Speaker 1: But anyway, last thing, did you see that J.J. Watt
[20:16] Speaker 1: tell the story that he was.
[20:18] Speaker 2: At Big Jeezy in Rio?
[20:19] Speaker 3: No, I did not.
[20:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, so he was visiting Big Jeezy, and he's standing there,
[20:24] Speaker 1: and you know, I think... JJ is more likely to
[20:26] Speaker 1: call it Christ the Redeemer because I think he views
[20:29] Speaker 1: Big Jeezy differently than I do, which is to say
[20:32] Speaker 1: not quite with the sense of humor. So he's there.
[20:35] Speaker 1: He said he's there. He's looking at Big Jeezy. Anybody
[20:37] Speaker 1: that's been there with Big Jeezy, Big Jeezy is really big, right?
[20:40] Speaker 1: And I imagine if that's your jam, it could be
[20:43] Speaker 1: really awe-inspiring. And the story, by the way, is that
[20:46] Speaker 1: there was a contest about all around the world who
[20:49] Speaker 1: could build the biggest Jeezy.
[20:51] Speaker 2: Like in Lisbon, they got a Big Jeezy. there too,
[20:53] Speaker 2: but it ain't. It's like, it's like, it's not really
[20:58] Speaker 2: Big Jeezy, like I ain't here.
[20:59] Speaker 1: But anyway, he say, look at that Big Jeezy, and
[21:02] Speaker 1: the next thing you know, you feel somebody walk past him,
[21:05] Speaker 1: slap him on the stomach. And he looks down and
[21:08] Speaker 1: it's Stephen A.
[21:08] Speaker 4: Smith.
[21:14] Speaker 1: And he talks about it like it was some kind
[21:16] Speaker 1: of weird, out-of-pocket experience.
[21:18] Speaker 2: But I disagree.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Like, Stephen A absolutely should acknowledge you in that moment,
[21:23] Speaker 1: but he didn't want to disturb you. And Stephen A
[21:26] Speaker 1: definitely on his cool shit in that moment.
[21:28] Speaker 2: Like, it's like a real cool catch. He just walked
[21:30] Speaker 2: past you with the, all right, big baby. And then
[21:32] Speaker 2: just keep it moving, right?
[21:33] Speaker 3: Yes.
[21:34] Speaker 2: So anyway, shout out.
[21:35] Speaker 3: That's not the first time he's done that.
[21:37] Speaker 1: No, no, no. People were like, why is Stephen A's
[21:39] Speaker 1: been to Brazil? He was like, because I want to
[21:40] Speaker 1: go to Brazil.
[21:41] Speaker 2: That's a football game.
[21:43] Speaker 3: What are you?
[21:45] Speaker 2: What excuse did you.
[21:46] Speaker 3: Possibly need what's the point of being who I am
[21:49] Speaker 3: if I don't get to go to Rio for the
[21:52] Speaker 3: lightest excuse possible by.
[21:53] Speaker 1: The way knowing what we know about Stephen A. Smith
[21:56] Speaker 1: because he has told us things that many of us
[21:58] Speaker 1: wish we did not know I can't imagine any place
[22:02] Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith would want to be in this world
[22:05] Speaker 1: more than Rio correct.
[22:10] Speaker 3: Anyway Speaking of Big Jeezy, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.
[22:13] Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
[22:14] Speaker 2: Jeezy versus Jeezy.
[22:15] Speaker 1: Well, you know, we kind of call Josh Jaheim around here.
[22:19] Speaker 3: Yes.
[22:20] Speaker 1: Justin Herbert don't deserve no nickname. I ain't associating him
[22:23] Speaker 1: with the people. I watched basically all of that game, Ryan.
[22:27] Speaker 1: I don't know if you tuned in on that one.
[22:33] Speaker 1: I called that game a Nick Wright special. Poor game
[22:38] Speaker 1: from Josh Allen. and a poor game from Justin Herbert
[22:42] Speaker 1: at the same damn time, right?
[22:44] Speaker 2: Now, I asked another friend.
[22:45] Speaker 1: Of the program about Herbert because I thought Herbert looked bad,
[22:47] Speaker 1: and that friend of the program told me.
[22:49] Speaker 2: That nobody's open. Okay, I guess, but they look bad.
[22:54] Speaker 1: The Bills turned the ball over five times, and the
[22:58] Speaker 1: Chargers turned that into, what was it, 13 points or
[23:01] Speaker 1: 16 points, my bad.
[23:02] Speaker 2: That's all they could get out of that.
[23:04] Speaker 1: They were so ill-equipped as the Bills consistently were trying
[23:08] Speaker 1: to turn that game over. And the Bills gave you the, like,
[23:12] Speaker 1: they've decided.
[23:13] Speaker 2: This is the life they're going to live, right?
[23:15] Speaker 1: They're going to live the Yolo Josh life, and the
[23:17] Speaker 1: Yolo Josh life sometimes is going to look like it
[23:19] Speaker 1: did in that game. I also thought the Chargers in
[23:22] Speaker 1: their front, the front seven for the Chargers was like, oh, shit,
[23:25] Speaker 1: we're 0-2. And the offense for the Chargers is like, eh,
[23:28] Speaker 1: it's a long season. Don't rush. Hey, guys, we've got time.
[23:37] Speaker 1: We've got time. But they both look bad in that game.
[23:40] Speaker 1: In fact, this weekend was so interesting because it is
[23:43] Speaker 1: largely about quarterbacks looking not good.
[23:48] Speaker 3: Yes.
[23:48] Speaker 1: You know, we talked about Stafford and Nix in that game,
[23:51] Speaker 1: not looking good.
[23:52] Speaker 2: But it was interesting.
[23:52] Speaker 1: We also had Dak and Lamar, and they did look
[23:56] Speaker 1: good in that game. They just happened to be playing
[23:59] Speaker 1: against each other. We got Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.
[24:03] Speaker 1: But look, let's be honest about this.
[24:05] Speaker 2: There's a real.
[24:08] Speaker 1: There's a tendency in doing a show like this, or
[24:11] Speaker 1: just shows in general, in sports, and what you feel
[24:14] Speaker 1: like you have to talk about is what is, like, important.
[24:19] Speaker 2: What are the big games, right? You know, those sorts
[24:24] Speaker 2: of things. But this was, again, a really weird week because, like,
[24:29] Speaker 2: so many people.
[24:30] Speaker 1: Didn't look good. Patrick Mahomes, by the way, he did
[24:32] Speaker 1: look good. Shout out to you, Geno Smith.
[24:35] Speaker 2: Granted, you were... Playing against a very poor defense.
[24:39] Speaker 3: Their secondary is so bad.
[24:40] Speaker 2: Oh, my God. The Lions secondary is so bad. I'm
[24:42] Speaker 2: so glad they won that game.
[24:43] Speaker 1: But, like, can we get Burns back? Can we get
[24:45] Speaker 1: Joseph back? Can we trade for Joey Porter? Can Dominique
[24:50] Speaker 1: play for them? Like, can we get just something, anything? But, like,
[24:57] Speaker 1: even in a game like Minnesota-Tampa Bay, Kyler Murray didn't
[25:00] Speaker 1: look good in that game.
[25:03] Speaker 3: Same Darnold.
[25:05] Speaker 2: Same Darnold.
[25:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, he had big plays, but I was
[25:08] Speaker 1: watching that like, I don't know, guys. You might have
[25:11] Speaker 1: been able to get this done with Drew Locke.
[25:13] Speaker 2: Just maybe. C.J.
[25:15] Speaker 3: Stroud? Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh.
[25:20] Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers, however, he did look good. Or better. Is
[25:24] Speaker 2: that a more accurate way to put it?
[25:25] Speaker 3: I would go with better.
[25:27] Speaker 2: Cincinnati got a problem.
[25:28] Speaker 1: Joe Burrow gave up the booty at the end where
[25:30] Speaker 1: he fumbled the ball, but Cincinnati, Cincinnati is Cincinnati and Dallas.
[25:35] Speaker 2: We talked about this a little earlier.
[25:36] Speaker 3: What's the difference?
[25:37] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[25:37] Speaker 2: What's the difference? It's going to be like this every game. Oh, okay.
[25:43] Speaker 1: But there were two quarterbacks that if you saw anything
[25:47] Speaker 1: that had to do with them, guys, number one, things
[25:52] Speaker 1: are weird. And number two, I'm generally of the belief
[25:58] Speaker 1: that the devil don't need no advocate.
[26:00] Speaker 4: Okay?
[26:02] Speaker 2: I don't do that.
[26:04] Speaker 1: Just throwing stuff out there for the sake of making
[26:07] Speaker 1: an argument on the other side.
[26:09] Speaker 2: And I don't believe in doing the work of the devil.
[26:14] Speaker 4: Okay?
[26:16] Speaker 2: However, every now and then something happens.
[26:20] Speaker 1: And after seeing it, if somebody was to pull up
[26:24] Speaker 1: on me and say, You know racism is over, right?
[26:29] Speaker 1: I might have a difficult time mounting a sufficient disagreement
[26:35] Speaker 1: of that fact, right? So let's start with Jameis Winston.
[26:43] Speaker 1: You know, there was a time where he would have
[26:46] Speaker 1: been long gone out the league. He threw 30 interceptions
[26:53] Speaker 1: seven years ago.
[26:55] Speaker 2: He's still here. Not only is he still here, he's
[26:59] Speaker 2: still here.
[27:00] Speaker 1: Despite the fact that he is utterly replaceable. You can
[27:05] Speaker 1: find a lot of people to do what Jameis Winston
[27:08] Speaker 1: does on the football field, right? Forget about all the
[27:13] Speaker 1: racism being over. I do think that we have to
[27:16] Speaker 1: acknowledge that the conversation around black quarterbacks is not.
[27:19] Speaker 2: The same as it was when I was a kid.
[27:22] Speaker 1: In fact, it's not the same as it was when
[27:24] Speaker 1: I started doing this job.
[27:26] Speaker 2: Like, it's changed.
[27:27] Speaker 1: It's a world where, like, Teron Taylor can make eight
[27:29] Speaker 1: figures being a backup quarterback. And it is a world
[27:33] Speaker 1: where not only is Jameis Winston still in the league,
[27:36] Speaker 1: Jameis Winston, who, you know, whoo, He's created some issues
[27:44] Speaker 1: for himself.
[27:45] Speaker 4: Okay?
[27:47] Speaker 2: And for other people, which is the real problem. But
[27:51] Speaker 2: he's stuck around and people love him.
[27:54] Speaker 3: Love him.
[27:55] Speaker 2: Now, why do people love him? I got to be
[27:58] Speaker 2: honest with you.
[27:59] Speaker 1: There are levels to the discussion that would be much
[28:01] Speaker 1: easier for me if all these white people weren't around.
[28:06] Speaker 4: Okay?
[28:07] Speaker 2: It's a very important thing I want everybody to know.
[28:09] Speaker 1: But at the same time, I want you to hear,
[28:13] Speaker 1: they won 12-7 against the Titans in the rain, by
[28:15] Speaker 1: the way. I want you guys to hear what this
[28:19] Speaker 1: guy said post-game. I don't even want to play the
[28:22] Speaker 1: pre-game introduction.
[28:24] Speaker 2: I just want you to hear.
[28:25] Speaker 3: Oh, we have it.
[28:26] Speaker 2: Oh, we have it. Could you play that?
[28:28] Speaker 5: There was no doubt on the sideline that it was
[28:32] Speaker 5: going to happen. Obviously, we are Alberta's keeper winning.
[28:37] Speaker 4: This game for Jackson.
[28:38] Speaker 6: You know, 12 points, six times two, right?
[28:42] Speaker 4: It's for you, right? That's 12, right?
[28:49] Speaker 1: And he had some crazy pregame about feeling good about
[28:53] Speaker 1: having the opportunity.
[28:54] Speaker 2: We're doers, not speakers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We don't have
[28:59] Speaker 2: that one, do we?
[28:59] Speaker 3: We sure do.
[29:00] Speaker 2: Play it, play it, play it.
[29:02] Speaker 1: A difficult week is an understatement, but this is your
[29:05] Speaker 1: 90th NFL start.
[29:06] Speaker 2: You've had a week of prep. How confident are you
[29:09] Speaker 2: in carrying this team forward?
[29:12] Speaker 5: One thing that I do is forgetting those that is
[29:16] Speaker 5: behind and reaching forward to what's ahead.
[29:22] Speaker 2: Well, we're having beautiful weather today.
[29:24] Speaker 3: How much do you feel that's going to impact.
[29:26] Speaker 2: The game out here?
[29:27] Speaker 5: Man, I'm so grateful. that we get to focus on
[29:32] Speaker 5: winning one play at a time. The circumstances, conditions, and facts,
[29:36] Speaker 5: they don't matter. It's us doing. being doers, not speakers.
[29:43] Speaker 2: We're looking forward to seeing you doing it today, and
[29:45] Speaker 2: good luck.
[29:45] Speaker 4: Thank you. Thank you.
[29:47] Speaker 2: Ryan, he's fucking with us, right? Right?
[29:57] Speaker 1: He's got to be doing this on purpose.
[30:01] Speaker 2: He has to be.
[30:02] Speaker 3: The thing about the importance of when you're doing a
[30:06] Speaker 3: bit like this is he never breaks character.
[30:09] Speaker 2: But that's bringing us to the question.
[30:11] Speaker 6: Is it a bit?
[30:13] Speaker 2: Because he's always kind of been like this.
[30:15] Speaker 3: Yes.
[30:16] Speaker 2: Is it a bit?
[30:17] Speaker 3: I don't... If I was ranking my top 10 moments
[30:23] Speaker 3: of my college football life, Jameis Winston going out, In
[30:27] Speaker 3: the jersey when he was suspended. When he was in
[30:31] Speaker 3: his warm-ups and Jimbo having to kick him off the field.
[30:35] Speaker 2: Oh, man. The look on Jimbo's, I just can't believe it.
[30:39] Speaker 3: And him talking to him afterwards when he's on.
[30:42] Speaker 2: But you know what, though?
[30:43] Speaker 1: That game gets to the observation that I think is
[30:46] Speaker 1: the only observation about James, okay?
[30:49] Speaker 2: Because I don't know if you remember this. That game
[30:51] Speaker 2: was against Clemson.
[30:53] Speaker 4: Yes.
[30:54] Speaker 2: And it was a pretty good Clemson team.
[30:56] Speaker 1: And Florida State has some white dude named Sean something
[31:01] Speaker 1: starting the game.
[31:02] Speaker 2: I can't remember.
[31:02] Speaker 1: It may have been McGuire. I can't remember his last name, right?
[31:05] Speaker 1: But it was just a backup quarterback. Certainly a good athlete.
[31:08] Speaker 1: He got a scholarship to Florida State, but nonetheless, the
[31:11] Speaker 1: plan was not for him to play.
[31:13] Speaker 2: And this is, as you recall, this is when.
[31:17] Speaker 1: Jameis got suspended for standing up. After the sexual assault
[31:23] Speaker 1: allegation the year before, Jameis stood up.
[31:26] Speaker 2: Surrounded by his fellow students and.
[31:29] Speaker 1: Said something wildly and I quote because I know my
[31:33] Speaker 1: mom's listening he said and I quote grab her by
[31:37] Speaker 1: the pussy this is what he said and they had
[31:40] Speaker 1: to suspend him again after the allegations that he had
[31:44] Speaker 1: dealt with the year before and he's getting railed on
[31:49] Speaker 1: in every corner right media all the places all the
[31:53] Speaker 1: things you know and Florida State wins that game at
[31:57] Speaker 1: the end, because they won every game at the end
[31:59] Speaker 1: that year. They win every game, they win that game
[32:01] Speaker 1: at the end, and they come to do the interview
[32:03] Speaker 1: with the new quarterback, and you know they were, they
[32:05] Speaker 1: readied up.
[32:06] Speaker 2: Praise him in that moment. And that man.
[32:09] Speaker 1: Looked at the camera and was just like, I just,
[32:12] Speaker 1: I mean, I just got to thank Jameis. And he
[32:18] Speaker 1: went on and on about like how helpful Jameis had been.
[32:21] Speaker 1: As I recall, like his parents were complimenting Jameis like,
[32:25] Speaker 1: Jameis appears to be one of the worst kinds of
[32:29] Speaker 1: people in the world, which is people.
[32:32] Speaker 2: You just can't stay mad at.
[32:35] Speaker 1: No matter what they do, you just can't stay mad
[32:40] Speaker 1: at them.
[32:41] Speaker 2: Now, if you want to say the allegation when he
[32:43] Speaker 2: was in college, didn't get all the, hey, okay.
[32:46] Speaker 1: But they did suspend him in the league because they
[32:48] Speaker 1: said he sat down with the Uber driver and immediately
[32:51] Speaker 1: put his hand between her legs.
[32:52] Speaker 2: Sitting in the front seat. Like, He's still with the
[32:58] Speaker 2: woman that he was with in high school.
[33:00] Speaker 1: She's, after everything I just told you, she's.
[33:04] Speaker 3: Still with him.
[33:06] Speaker 2: People just can't stay mad at this guy.
[33:12] Speaker 3: He's not even good.
[33:16] Speaker 1: People just can't stay mad at this guy. What a
[33:20] Speaker 1: weird time. Now, I'll tell you who people can.
[33:24] Speaker 2: Stay mad at. And that's Nasty D.
[33:28] Speaker 1: People have been mad at Nasty D for five years
[33:32] Speaker 1: and change now.
[33:34] Speaker 2: It feels like.
[33:36] Speaker 3: Deservedly so.
[33:38] Speaker 2: Yes. Way to make sure they know.
[33:43] Speaker 3: There was a pause there and I decided to.
[33:46] Speaker 2: No, you made.
[33:47] Speaker 1: You did what I love you for.
[33:50] Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Well done. Couldn't leave that
[33:53] Speaker 2: to chance.
[33:54] Speaker 3: Got you.
[33:56] Speaker 2: Nasty D did not play well on Sunday.
[33:58] Speaker 5: No.
[33:59] Speaker 1: But you remember, it wasn't that long ago, and they
[34:00] Speaker 1: was like, man, you got to hurry up and bench him.
[34:03] Speaker 1: You can't have him out there for the home opener.
[34:05] Speaker 1: And then he played decently in week two, and they
[34:09] Speaker 1: won the game. And he was still the starter, and
[34:12] Speaker 1: they came out here, and they beat Carolina.
[34:16] Speaker 2: I watched toward the end.
[34:18] Speaker 3: Of that game.
[34:21] Speaker 2: Sean Watson owes those people an apology.
[34:25] Speaker 1: And he owes those people an apology because he was like, well,
[34:28] Speaker 1: if I don't throw for 500 yards, they going to
[34:31] Speaker 1: boo me. Son, you threw for 144 yards on 4.8
[34:37] Speaker 1: yards per attempt. And they were cheering like you just
[34:43] Speaker 1: got back from combat. And your children had no idea
[34:50] Speaker 1: you had showed up to hug them.
[34:53] Speaker 2: That place was rocking. Everything that they've.
[34:58] Speaker 1: Talked about, people have talked about in the past, you know,
[35:00] Speaker 1: we were upset that they got Deshaun Watson.
[35:02] Speaker 2: None of that matters if you're two and one. We're
[35:05] Speaker 2: not even talking about making the playoffs. We're not talking
[35:08] Speaker 2: about anything else. Simply two and one. And the place
[35:13] Speaker 2: was rocking, Ryan. Rocking. They were so excited to have him.
[35:20] Speaker 2: So excited.
[35:21] Speaker 1: And they play the Steelers next. They play them at home.
[35:26] Speaker 1: They play them on Thursday night. There's a good chance
[35:30] Speaker 1: the Browns could be 3-1, Ryan.
[35:34] Speaker 2: 3-1.
[35:34] Speaker 3: And then they get the Jets.
[35:38] Speaker 2: 4-1. Hey, man. Let me be very careful. And I
[35:44] Speaker 2: want to be very clear.
[35:45] Speaker 1: Ain't no way in hell they going to 4-1. I
[35:50] Speaker 1: don't know how they're not going to go 4-1, but
[35:53] Speaker 1: nobody thinks that, right? And I know that if they
[35:55] Speaker 1: do go 4-1, somebody's out here preparing to clip me
[35:59] Speaker 1: saying that they're going 4-1. Well, put your ass on
[36:02] Speaker 1: the record right now and say that you think they're
[36:05] Speaker 1: going 4-1, right?
[36:06] Speaker 2: Put that next to this.
[36:08] Speaker 1: If you do it, it's just because you're lying.
[36:10] Speaker 2: You don't think that's going to happen.
[36:11] Speaker 3: No one thinks the Browns are ever going to be 4-1.
[36:14] Speaker 4: No, no, no.
[36:15] Speaker 2: But bottom line is.
[36:19] Speaker 1: All they want to do is win there. And Deshaun Watson,
[36:21] Speaker 1: you threw a touchdown pass late. That's really all they
[36:24] Speaker 1: asked for. That's really all it took. That's really all
[36:29] Speaker 1: it took. Now, Drake Bay, I hope you're listening.
[36:33] Speaker 4: Okay?
[36:34] Speaker 2: Because I know right now, it don't feel good. He
[36:37] Speaker 2: has been cheeks. No way around it. He's stunk.
[36:41] Speaker 4: Okay?
[36:44] Speaker 1: And if you just get out here and play okay
[36:46] Speaker 1: and decent and win a couple games.
[36:48] Speaker 2: They'll clap for you.
[36:49] Speaker 4: Again, too.
[36:50] Speaker 1: Now, granted, I think their standards in New England are
[36:52] Speaker 1: a little bit higher.
[36:54] Speaker 2: They're accustomed to a little bit more.
[36:56] Speaker 3: Especially from the quarterback position?
[36:57] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[36:58] Speaker 4: Fair.
[36:59] Speaker 2: Fair. Hey, man.
[37:04] Speaker 1: He's... I am intrigued by quarterback arc and development. Because, like, hey, man,
[37:15] Speaker 1: if a running back is good as a rookie... That
[37:18] Speaker 1: running back's going to be good until his body stops
[37:20] Speaker 1: allowing him to be good.
[37:22] Speaker 2: Generally a fair point.
[37:24] Speaker 1: You don't really have a lot of, like, I feel
[37:28] Speaker 1: like wide receivers just one year pop up and then
[37:31] Speaker 1: it goes away unless there's a reason.
[37:34] Speaker 2: Quarterbacks are almost like baseball players.
[37:37] Speaker 1: Where baseball players just have these wild up and down,
[37:39] Speaker 1: oh man, he just had a bad year.
[37:41] Speaker 3: You don't have- Yeah, the idea of like an extended
[37:44] Speaker 3: slump is almost built into the equation.
[37:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it doesn't happen anywhere else, right? Except in football,
[37:49] Speaker 1: it does happen with quarterbacks. But the other thing that
[37:51] Speaker 1: can happen with quarterbacks that is so interesting is the
[37:53] Speaker 1: idea that somebody can.
[37:54] Speaker 2: Be, or at the very least put up very good stats.
[37:57] Speaker 1: People are telling me that Drake May did not look terrible,
[38:00] Speaker 1: even though he didn't look as good as he seemed,
[38:01] Speaker 1: he didn't look terrible last year.
[38:04] Speaker 2: He looks terrible now.
[38:05] Speaker 1: And it's so much a confidence situation where we see
[38:08] Speaker 1: this happen with baseball pitchers. All of a sudden, you
[38:10] Speaker 1: just can't do this anymore, right? Guy has some excellent,
[38:13] Speaker 1: like an excellent year or two. And then for whatever reason, non-physical,
[38:17] Speaker 1: you just can't do it anymore. And I'm not saying
[38:20] Speaker 1: it's at a point where your Drake mate can't do
[38:22] Speaker 1: it anymore. But if you have six straight bad games,
[38:24] Speaker 1: you're just not good. Like maybe you can become good
[38:27] Speaker 1: again and maybe you were good before, but we kind
[38:30] Speaker 1: of operate on a premise that like, if you've been good,
[38:33] Speaker 1: you are good until further notice and not, he got relegated, right?
[38:38] Speaker 1: Like that, it seems very clear that right now he
[38:41] Speaker 1: has been dropped on the relegation tier and now he's
[38:43] Speaker 1: got to pick this up.
[38:45] Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
[38:46] Speaker 1: And if I'm him, I get in front of a
[38:48] Speaker 1: microphone and they ask me, well, why it is that
[38:51] Speaker 1: you're not playing so well? And it's like, you know,
[38:54] Speaker 1: I just, right now, I feel like I need support.
[38:59] Speaker 1: And when I needed support the most, he was out
[39:04] Speaker 1: with that hussy!
[39:13] Speaker 3: Tried to reach him and he was busy.
[39:15] Speaker 1: Just throwing it out there. Not calling nobody no hussy.
[39:20] Speaker 1: I'm just saying somebody might say it. That is one
[39:25] Speaker 1: thing we don't talk nearly enough about. is like, we
[39:27] Speaker 1: talk about them old school movies and they'd be out
[39:29] Speaker 1: here calling women hussies and stuff like that.
[39:31] Speaker 2: And it seems so funny, but in reality, that was
[39:34] Speaker 2: scandalous talk.
[39:35] Speaker 3: Yes.
[39:35] Speaker 2: That was like, I can't use the words that that's
[39:38] Speaker 2: like on this show.
[39:40] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[39:40] Speaker 3: It's like calling someone a harlot in a book from
[39:42] Speaker 3: the 1800s.
[39:42] Speaker 2: Well, yes, but like you can get away with harlot.
[39:44] Speaker 2: Like all of that sounds kind of classy.
[39:46] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[39:47] Speaker 1: The words we use for that stuff now cut straight
[39:49] Speaker 1: to the point. Like, I feel like hussy was a
[39:51] Speaker 1: demotion from harlot. And now we just straight at, you
[39:57] Speaker 1: can't say that shit on TV. Football is finally back

[41:33] Speaker 6: Now, if you haven't heard.
[41:36] Speaker 3: All right, Bo, if you haven't heard, presented by PrizePix,
[41:40] Speaker 3: Oregon takes down USC 41-27 this weekend. It is getting tough.
[41:45] Speaker 3: out there for Lincoln Riley, as many people have begun
[41:49] Speaker 3: to call for his job. Bo, how do you think
[41:51] Speaker 3: this situation resolves itself?
[41:53] Speaker 1: Well, apparently his buyout is roughly the GDP of Nicaragua.
[42:01] Speaker 2: It's a gang of money that you have to pay.
[42:04] Speaker 3: The number I saw was floating around was $ 70 million.
[42:06] Speaker 1: Okay, that was the number that I saw also. They
[42:09] Speaker 1: don't have $ 70 million. Right, like there's just, they... They
[42:13] Speaker 1: don't have that kind of bread. Now, I don't know
[42:16] Speaker 1: how it has to be paid out. If it's a
[42:18] Speaker 1: $ 70 million lump sum, they're cooked. If it's $ 70 million
[42:23] Speaker 1: that they could pay out over term, they're James Franklin, basically.
[42:28] Speaker 1: Somebody else will hire Lincoln Riley.
[42:31] Speaker 2: It'll happen.
[42:33] Speaker 1: But it seems pretty clear to me that it ain't
[42:34] Speaker 1: going to work there for him. Now, I want to
[42:37] Speaker 1: make two points on this. One, The $ 70 million buyout,
[42:41] Speaker 1: one could argue, is the buyout actually doing its job. Like,
[42:44] Speaker 1: as much as all of us think that this whole
[42:46] Speaker 1: buyout game is ridiculous, what the buyout should encourage is
[42:50] Speaker 1: patience with the coach and the decision that you're going
[42:53] Speaker 1: to ride this thing out with him. It's supposed to
[42:55] Speaker 1: basically effectively operate as a guarantee.
[42:57] Speaker 3: The buyout is not ridiculous. People paying the buyout is ridiculous.
[43:00] Speaker 5: Exactly.
[43:01] Speaker 2: But they're saying what is ridiculous... is keeping this.
[43:05] Speaker 1: Guy that we know is not the guy. Like something's
[43:09] Speaker 1: going to happen with the market with coach money in
[43:12] Speaker 1: part because now that you can pay players, which may become,
[43:15] Speaker 1: if this bill passes, now this gets weird. But in
[43:18] Speaker 1: this moment where the issue really is, can you pay
[43:20] Speaker 1: the players and bring them in, the idea that the
[43:22] Speaker 1: coach is some kind of goddamn magician or Svengali that
[43:25] Speaker 1: can just, you know, play the flute or whatever you
[43:28] Speaker 1: call it and bring the guys in, They're not worth
[43:31] Speaker 1: the money like that anymore.
[43:32] Speaker 2: We'll get somebody else in here and we'll pay to
[43:34] Speaker 2: get the guys. But where they are.
[43:36] Speaker 1: Historically, and this is where to me it's interesting, USC
[43:41] Speaker 1: seems to be one of those jobs where LSU is
[43:45] Speaker 1: a job where you can win and get it done.
[43:48] Speaker 2: With a good coach.
[43:50] Speaker 1: Alabama is a place where you can get it done,
[43:53] Speaker 1: not consistently, but you can get it done with a
[43:57] Speaker 1: good coach.
[43:59] Speaker 2: But to make them happy, you've got to have a
[44:02] Speaker 2: great coach.
[44:04] Speaker 1: Alabama's had two great coaches, Saban and Bryant, and they
[44:10] Speaker 1: ran all the rest of them off, except for Franchoni,
[44:13] Speaker 1: who ran before they ran him. A good coach can
[44:16] Speaker 1: get it done. You've got to have a great one. Miami,
[44:18] Speaker 1: while they were on top, you could argue, like Butch Davis,
[44:23] Speaker 1: Good coach. Larry Coker, not even that, right? Dennis Erickson,
[44:27] Speaker 1: definitely a good coach. Would he be a Hall of
[44:29] Speaker 1: Fame coach if he did not coach Miami? You know,
[44:32] Speaker 1: good coach can get it done, but you need a
[44:34] Speaker 1: great one to.
[44:34] Speaker 2: Make it happen.
[44:35] Speaker 1: USC's had two great coaches, McKay and Carroll. John Robinson,
[44:42] Speaker 1: a good coach. And look what happened the last three
[44:44] Speaker 1: years that John Robinson was there once Aldo McKay was
[44:47] Speaker 1: off the program.
[44:49] Speaker 2: Three loss, three loss, three.
[44:51] Speaker 5: Loss, okay?
[44:53] Speaker 1: And that is with players. A good coach can do okay.
[45:00] Speaker 1: They need a great one. And Lincoln Riley is a
[45:03] Speaker 1: good coach. If you don't believe me, go ask those
[45:06] Speaker 1: people at Oklahoma who were offended by the way he
[45:09] Speaker 1: left and hate the fact that he took Caleb Williams,
[45:13] Speaker 1: but thought they could get another coach of that level.
[45:18] Speaker 2: And I would also make.
[45:19] Speaker 1: The argument that The fact that he ran away from
[45:21] Speaker 1: Oklahoma the way that he did. People don't leave jobs
[45:24] Speaker 1: like Oklahoma to go take jobs like USC. That's just
[45:26] Speaker 1: not how that works. They were going to the SEC
[45:29] Speaker 1: and he was afraid that they would not be able
[45:31] Speaker 1: to compete. And so he ran to the Pac-12 where
[45:33] Speaker 1: they are no longer because they're now in the Big Ten.
[45:36] Speaker 2: And it's fair to ask if they can compete.
[45:38] Speaker 4: Right.
[45:39] Speaker 2: That job to me is tricky because.
[45:42] Speaker 1: Really do it the way people expect. You have to
[45:44] Speaker 1: get all the good players from Southern California.
[45:46] Speaker 3: And people have to like you, which people do.
[45:48] Speaker 2: People do not like him.
[45:49] Speaker 3: People, he seems uninterested and above the people stuff.
[45:55] Speaker 1: I keep telling people part of this job is managing
[45:58] Speaker 1: the down times, right? And he's poor at that. He's
[46:02] Speaker 1: snippy about those things. He's not accountable. When it comes
[46:05] Speaker 1: to us, when he gets.
[46:06] Speaker 3: Really, he gets really defensive about like people filming practices
[46:10] Speaker 3: and all sorts.
[46:10] Speaker 4: Of weird stuff.
[46:11] Speaker 1: And that, that, that attitude doesn't work at that job,
[46:15] Speaker 1: but who got $ 70 million? Also shout out to Dan Lanning,
[46:20] Speaker 1: who was like, come to Oregon. If you want to win,
[46:22] Speaker 1: go to USC. If you want to go to a
[46:24] Speaker 1: Chris Brown concert, how random some recruit must've been like, yeah, man,
[46:28] Speaker 1: he took me to see Chris Brown and he has.
[46:30] Speaker 3: Never, he's still mad about it.
[46:32] Speaker 2: I would be too.
[46:36] Speaker 3: All right, let's move to the NBA. Big news for
[46:39] Speaker 3: skinny guys out there. Chet Holgren has bulked up in
[46:42] Speaker 3: the offseason from 213 pounds to 215 pounds. Bo, you've
[46:47] Speaker 3: always been a defender of skinny Chet. What was your
[46:50] Speaker 3: thought about this news?
[46:51] Speaker 2: Man, y'all don't know how hard it is, man. That's
[46:54] Speaker 2: all I'm saying. He trying. He putting in that work, right?
[46:58] Speaker 1: That being said, his problem is not that he's too skinny.
[47:02] Speaker 1: His problem is Victor Wimbanyama.
[47:05] Speaker 2: Like, if it wasn't for Victor, everything, the chat thing's
[47:09] Speaker 2: going great. They got a championship.
[47:11] Speaker 1: He's been, like, an All-NBA Defensive Player of the Year
[47:14] Speaker 1: caliber sort of dude.
[47:16] Speaker 2: His career is going to end with him in the
[47:17] Speaker 2: Hall of Fame. He just, why not? Why not?
[47:24] Speaker 1: All he's got to do is make some combination of
[47:26] Speaker 1: five first-team, second-team All-NBAs.
[47:29] Speaker 2: And what if he racks up another championship or two?
[47:33] Speaker 1: Like, I think in the end, I'm not saying he's
[47:34] Speaker 1: going to end up as, like, on the top 100
[47:36] Speaker 1: team in the 100th year of the NBA, but I
[47:39] Speaker 1: think he'll wind up in the Hall of Fame.
[47:41] Speaker 2: It's all gone well. He just has this guy that
[47:44] Speaker 2: despises him.
[47:50] Speaker 3: All right, Bo. A couple of voicemails here. A lot
[47:53] Speaker 3: of good ones. Here's our first.
[47:55] Speaker 6: What's up, Bo? This is Patrick in Northern Virginia. Shout
[47:57] Speaker 6: out to Ryan and also Gabe and Shannon. You and
[48:01] Speaker 6: Gabe helped get me through COVID. There's so many things
[48:06] Speaker 6: I wanted to say, but I think I've narrowed it down. First,
[48:10] Speaker 6: my dad thinks he invented a saying, what would Jesus do?
[48:13] Speaker 6: He was a Georgia Tech in the late 70s, early 80s,
[48:16] Speaker 6: and when those bracelets popped when I was a kid,
[48:18] Speaker 6: he was like, man, I came up with that. Also,
[48:22] Speaker 6: I was in the military, so names, I don't have
[48:25] Speaker 6: a lot of crazy first names. I'm a football official.
[48:27] Speaker 6: I did officiate a game with a white guy named
[48:29] Speaker 6: Anton the other day, but You need some crazy last
[48:33] Speaker 6: names in the military. There's a guy, the craziest one
[48:36] Speaker 6: that sticks out to me is Pancake. That was legit
[48:37] Speaker 6: the guy's last name.
[48:38] Speaker 3: Thought it was hilarious.
[48:41] Speaker 6: But then the question, I know you're pretty pro-black on everything,
[48:46] Speaker 6: but I remember you saying one time something to the
[48:48] Speaker 6: effect of, like, you thought the D9 or fraternity sororities
[48:53] Speaker 6: or something like educated gangs or something like that. I
[48:56] Speaker 6: was just looking for more information on how you came
[48:58] Speaker 6: to that conclusion. Anyway, great show. Thanks for everything you do.
[49:01] Speaker 7: Peace.
[49:03] Speaker 1: I don't know if I called them educated or gangs.
[49:06] Speaker 1: I think I said that I would rather join a
[49:08] Speaker 1: gang than to join a fraternity. I'm just saying, I've
[49:14] Speaker 1: hung out with frat dudes. I've hung out with gang members.
[49:17] Speaker 1: Gang members were a little bit cooler, like after they
[49:19] Speaker 1: chilled out a little bit. or whatever it is, right?
[49:22] Speaker 1: So I think that was what I said. I want
[49:25] Speaker 1: to get back to this thing, though, about... Yeah, by
[49:28] Speaker 1: the way, you get jumped in. You know what I'm saying?
[49:32] Speaker 1: They do weird shit.
[49:33] Speaker 2: With their hands. They wear the same colors.
[49:35] Speaker 1: They be wearing bandanas and stuff when they feel like
[49:38] Speaker 1: it or whatever it is.
[49:40] Speaker 2: I don't understand what you don't understand. Are you an iota?
[49:44] Speaker 1: Anyway, my buddy Morgan, he went to a college football
[49:48] Speaker 1: game in Canada.
[49:53] Speaker 2: And it looked like it was against two Quebecois. Deséquipe Quebecois.
[50:03] Speaker 1: The home team had three white Xaviers and two Raphaels.
[50:10] Speaker 1: The visiting team had two white corners and two Latino quarterbacks.
[50:20] Speaker 2: The French be throwing it off. You grow up in Louisiana. Ryan,
[50:24] Speaker 2: maybe you see this. You grow up in Louisiana.
[50:26] Speaker 1: You don't even think of Cedric as a black people's name.
[50:28] Speaker 3: I do not.
[50:32] Speaker 1: Shout out to my man Cedric Meyer in New Orleans
[50:34] Speaker 1: at the hat shop I went in there looking for
[50:36] Speaker 1: him and they told me I'd never have caught up
[50:39] Speaker 1: with him I've been trying to catch up with him
[50:40] Speaker 1: for like 15 years but they told me that he
[50:43] Speaker 1: was not as Cedric as I expected number one and
[50:47] Speaker 1: number two that he is surprised of.
[50:51] Speaker 2: A couple of mothers when he pulled up and they
[50:53] Speaker 2: were like oh.
[50:58] Speaker 3: Whew alright here's our next one Hey, Bill.
[51:02] Speaker 2: Hey, Ryan.
[51:03] Speaker 4: Tyler from Raleigh. I just listened to your segment about
[51:07] Speaker 4: NC State shit, and you, of course, got it spot on.
[51:10] Speaker 4: I'm a huge State fan, and I will never give
[51:13] Speaker 4: up that narcotic, no matter what. But you did say.
[51:16] Speaker 3: That's a choice.
[51:17] Speaker 4: Oh, it could have been worse.
[51:19] Speaker 3: Wait, no, it couldn't have.
[51:20] Speaker 4: Yes, it could have, though. You know, if Bill Belichick
[51:24] Speaker 4: had won in Clemson, that would have just ended us.
[51:27] Speaker 4: That would have been worse. But thank God Dabo pulled
[51:31] Speaker 4: one out because that would have happened right after that
[51:35] Speaker 4: thing that happened in Vanderbilt.
[51:38] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[51:40] Speaker 4: Anyway, love the show.
[51:41] Speaker 3: Thanks, bro.
[51:43] Speaker 1: So, guys, that's the thing about NC State fans that
[51:46] Speaker 1: you may not realize.
[51:49] Speaker 2: It's always about Carolina.
[51:51] Speaker 1: Even when they're not, it's always about Carolina.
[51:55] Speaker 3: It's the thing about a little brother. It's always about
[51:58] Speaker 3: Big Brother. It's, it's, it's, it's.
[52:01] Speaker 1: They hate, I don't know any group of people more
[52:04] Speaker 1: dedicated to hating someone else quite like NC State.
[52:09] Speaker 2: And this includes Ohio State and Michigan.
[52:13] Speaker 3: Auburn, Alabama.
[52:14] Speaker 1: Yes. nobody is as dedicated as these people are to
[52:19] Speaker 1: hating the other side. There was a, I don't know
[52:22] Speaker 1: if he said it was a 30 for 30, I
[52:23] Speaker 1: think it was called survive in advance. And it was
[52:25] Speaker 1: about the 1983 NC state championship team. And one of
[52:28] Speaker 1: my buddies, I remember he went to a screening of
[52:31] Speaker 1: it that they had in Raleigh and there was louder
[52:34] Speaker 1: applause in that building for beating North Carolina in the
[52:37] Speaker 1: ACC tournament than there was for winning.
[52:40] Speaker 2: The national championship.
[52:42] Speaker 3: Their only national championship, correct?
[52:44] Speaker 4: No, no, no.
[52:44] Speaker 2: They got two.
[52:45] Speaker 3: They got two. They got two.
[52:47] Speaker 2: Well, one of them is the David Thompson, like one
[52:49] Speaker 2: of the greatest teams of all time.
[52:51] Speaker 1: They had an undefeated season in 73, I want to say.
[52:54] Speaker 1: And I think they were on like some kind of
[52:55] Speaker 1: probation national championship in 1974.
[52:58] Speaker 2: And then they won the national championship in 1983.
[53:02] Speaker 5: And.
[53:05] Speaker 3: Also beat UNC.
[53:08] Speaker 2: That also happened.
[53:09] Speaker 5: Yes.
[53:10] Speaker 3: All right. Here's our last one.
[53:12] Speaker 7: Hey, Bomani. Hey, Ryan, this is Dave from Las Vegas.
[53:16] Speaker 7: Long time, first time using that old slogan there. So
[53:22] Speaker 7: I had a question for you. You know, when you
[53:24] Speaker 7: talked about Jed York getting arrested in the trailer park,
[53:30] Speaker 7: you mentioned that he was from Youngstown, Ohio. But it
[53:33] Speaker 7: leads me to wonder, knowing what we know about Youngstown,
[53:38] Speaker 7: who do you think you would not really want to
[53:42] Speaker 7: have problems with? someone from Youngstown, Ohio, or someone from Kinston,
[53:49] Speaker 7: North Carolina. Keep doing great work. Love listening to y'all.
[53:54] Speaker 5: Bye.
[53:56] Speaker 1: So the difference to me about that is the person
[54:01] Speaker 1: in Youngstown may have somebody come see me. Kinston got
[54:06] Speaker 1: a DIY attitude when it comes to it. You understand
[54:10] Speaker 1: what I'm saying? They in it for the love of
[54:13] Speaker 1: the game. I also, before we go, because you said
[54:16] Speaker 1: Las Vegas, almost messed up. Ryan, it was New Orleans
[54:20] Speaker 1: versus Las Vegas in football this weekend. And I feel
[54:24] Speaker 1: like somebody's granted like New Orleans versus Las Vegas.
[54:26] Speaker 2: The only winner is the devil. But anyway, the Las
[54:32] Speaker 2: Vegas Raiders.
[54:33] Speaker 3: The only winner was... The opposite of the devil, Kirk Cousins.
[54:36] Speaker 1: The Raiders are 3-0, and Kirk Cousins has thrown three touchdowns.
[54:40] Speaker 1: Three touchdowns just rolled off my tongue. Has thrown three
[54:44] Speaker 1: touchdowns in all of the games. The 3-0 Raiders are
[54:50] Speaker 1: going to play against the 3-0 Chiefs.
[54:53] Speaker 2: My man Logan hit me and.
[54:54] Speaker 1: Is like, hey, how excited should I get about Kirk Cousins?
[54:57] Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you talking about how excited you
[54:58] Speaker 1: should get about Kirk Cousins? And my thought is this
[55:01] Speaker 1: will answer itself. I don't need to give them any
[55:03] Speaker 1: concrete answer. If they mess around and somehow beat the Chiefs.
[55:08] Speaker 2: Bruh.
[55:10] Speaker 4: Bruh.
[55:13] Speaker 2: However, right.
[55:14] Speaker 1: How many wins do the Raiders have to rack up
[55:17] Speaker 1: for you to say don't trade Max Crosby?
[55:19] Speaker 2: Like how many wins are they going to have to
[55:21] Speaker 2: rack up before we talk about them at the beginning
[55:24] Speaker 2: of the show? I guess it'll just be next week.
[55:27] Speaker 3: If they beat the Chiefs, they shall.
[55:29] Speaker 2: Right, but that doesn't mean you'll believe. Like, what will
[55:32] Speaker 2: it take?
[55:32] Speaker 1: How many wins do they have to get for somebody
[55:35] Speaker 1: to believe they could do this?
[55:36] Speaker 2: Like, I remember the year the Falcons went to the
[55:38] Speaker 2: Super Bowl in 1998.
[55:40] Speaker 1: They were something in two, I want to say, but
[55:45] Speaker 1: nobody believed until they beat the 49ers at home.
[55:49] Speaker 2: But that was after they were like seven and two
[55:51] Speaker 2: or eight and two or something like that. We wouldn't
[55:53] Speaker 2: fall in for that shit. Wait, wait, wait. What do
[55:57] Speaker 2: they got to do? What if they're 6-3? You believe
[56:00] Speaker 2: in it? Because I'm not.
[56:04] Speaker 4: Right?
[56:04] Speaker 3: 9-2?
[56:07] Speaker 2: They have to.
[56:08] Speaker 3: 9-2 and they have to beat two of the signature quarterbacks.
[56:13] Speaker 3: So Mahomes and someone else on their schedule. Okay.
[56:16] Speaker 2: So I'm just going to run through this because, oh,
[56:18] Speaker 2: it's got to get a little dicey. They got the
[56:21] Speaker 2: Chiefs at the Patriots, which looks like a pick-em. Home
[56:25] Speaker 2: for the Bills.
[56:26] Speaker 1: Home for the Rams, at the Jets, at the 49ers,
[56:30] Speaker 1: home for the Seahawks, at the Broncos.
[56:36] Speaker 2: I'm just saying this.
[56:37] Speaker 1: If they can survive that run of games at like
[56:40] Speaker 1: 500 between them, or maybe 500 overall, then they get
[56:44] Speaker 1: the Browns, the sorry Chargers, the Broncos, the sorry Titans,
[56:48] Speaker 1: the sorry Cardinals before they.
[56:51] Speaker 2: Hey, man!
[56:52] Speaker 3: That could be 11-6.
[56:55] Speaker 2: So how are they going to go 6-11?
[56:59] Speaker 3: Maybe by choice. By training Kirk Cousins and Max Crosby.
[57:02] Speaker 5: Yes.
[57:03] Speaker 2: And I'll tell you this, though.
[57:04] Speaker 1: The best thing about this is they will not have
[57:07] Speaker 1: to play Fernando Mendoza this year, I don't think. Which I,
[57:11] Speaker 1: without great evidence, believe is probably the best thing for
[57:14] Speaker 1: a quarterback. But hey, ladies and gentlemen, thanks so much
[57:17] Speaker 1: for joining us here on The Right Time. We do

[57:35] Speaker 1: of days.
