Our favourite part of the internet is, of course, the comment section. Our job is literally reacting to and dissecting our FYPs: but we wanted to go a little further this week. We're feeling nosey. We're feeling like allll those little commenters hiding behind their Tik Tok profile pictures might have their own drama going on. So naturally we took to the streets with a sharpie and a fold out table. Did we want an excuse to get gossip from strangers? Yes. You're welcome, we know you want it too. Our takeaways include: • It should be more socially acceptable to ask strangers for their secrets with no context • Guinea pigs should never, under any circumstances, be left unsupervised • The book of answers is ALWAYS right Should we do this again?? DM us your crazy stories and we'll call you on next week's episode 👀 Love you superstars, see you in the comments xxxx THE END BITS DM us your craziest stories @ inthecommentspod on Instagram. [0:06] Speaker 1: a kiss from me.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Oh!
[0:11] Speaker 3: What?
[0:12] Speaker 4: I thought that was not what I thought. Okay. What's
[0:15] Speaker 4: up superstars?
[0:16] Speaker 1: Welcome to In The Commons where we're doing an in
[0:18] Speaker 1: the field.
[0:19] Speaker 4: In the wild. In Bondi Beach. Where they film Bondi Rescue.
[0:24] Speaker 5: I can see the lifeguard tower right now. There's some
[0:27] Speaker 5: beautiful looking people around. Including ourselves.
[0:30] Speaker 4: Including ourselves.
[0:32] Speaker 5: It's perfect weather.
[0:33] Speaker 6: And we're going to see how many crazy stories people
[0:35] Speaker 6: have out here. And as you can see, for every
[0:38] Speaker 6: crazy story we're told, they can get a fortune. Because
[0:41] Speaker 6: we wanted to give them money, but there's some legal.
[0:43] Speaker 5: Issues with that.
[0:44] Speaker 4: Can't really do that. But we have the book of answers.
[0:46] Speaker 1: And then we've also printed out some fortunes in this
[0:48] Speaker 1: tiny little bag of ours.
[0:50] Speaker 5: So they can pick it out.
[0:51] Speaker 4: Should I pick out a fortune? Yeah, let's start off.
[0:53] Speaker 5: Will we meet the love of our lives on this
[0:55] Speaker 5: little excursion?
[0:56] Speaker 4: Okay.
[0:57] Speaker 6: The person who laughed the hardest at your story is
[1:00] Speaker 6: attracted to you.
[1:01] Speaker 5: There's a few people looking.
[1:02] Speaker 6: They all look like they should be in school, which
[1:05] Speaker 6: is interesting for our education system, but that's fine.
[1:07] Speaker 4: We're feeling good. I'm feeling great. I'm feeling... You know,
[1:10] Speaker 4: it's beautiful weather.
[1:11] Speaker 7: I know.
[1:12] Speaker 4: The sun is shining.
[1:13] Speaker 8: All right. All right.
[1:14] Speaker 4: Let's get into it.
[1:15] Speaker 5: I want to talk to them. I want to talk
[1:17] Speaker 5: to anyone.
[1:18] Speaker 4: You guys. Crazy story.
[1:20] Speaker 9: No.
[1:21] Speaker 4: Oh, he's ignoring me.
[1:22] Speaker 9: Direct.
[1:23] Speaker 4: They are.
[1:23] Speaker 6: Direct eye contact, but completely ignore. It's hard out on
[1:27] Speaker 6: the streets, guys. It's like, it just gets awkward sometimes.
[1:29] Speaker 4: You're putting yourself on the line. Oh, come over here.
[1:32] Speaker 4: Come on. You can be a nominous. Yeah, we don't
[1:34] Speaker 4: have to show your face. Oh, he's running. You're almost running.
[1:38] Speaker 4: You'd love our podcast. Our names? Olivia. And Olivia, yeah.
[1:43] Speaker 9: Olivia, Olivia.
[1:44] Speaker 4: Yeah, got the same name. Celeste.
[1:46] Speaker 5: Beautiful.
[1:47] Speaker 10: No one really asks people out these days, you know?
[1:50] Speaker 10: So if someone's confident enough to ask you out, you know,
[1:53] Speaker 10: I'll give them a little. And I was walking into
[1:55] Speaker 10: the car park and this cute guy, and he looked
[1:58] Speaker 10: a little bit dangerous, had a weird gold tooth.
[2:00] Speaker 4: I don't know. And he was like, you're really cute.
[2:03] Speaker 4: Can I get your Snapchat? Thinking, I'm not going to
[2:06] Speaker 4: give you my Snapchat. I don't have Snapchat. Yeah, so
[2:09] Speaker 4: you can take my number.
[2:10] Speaker 11: Anyway, so we're texting and he's, some of his craziest.
[2:12] Speaker 4: Pictures, whatever.
[2:14] Speaker 10: I think I was playing hard to get and I
[2:15] Speaker 10: was just telling him, I don't know. Anyways, but it
[2:18] Speaker 10: turns out we go to Macca's, we just, you know,
[2:20] Speaker 10: classic Macca's run.
[2:22] Speaker 4: Oh, you go to Macca's for your first date? I
[2:24] Speaker 4: wouldn't call it a date.
[2:25] Speaker 10: It was just, we were just, we just, you know,
[2:28] Speaker 10: he was like, let's hang out, whatever, we can.
[2:30] Speaker 4: Hang out, you know.
[2:31] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[2:32] Speaker 10: And it turns out that he's fresh out of jail. Yeah,
[2:35] Speaker 10: fresh out of jail. He is, he's on parole.
[2:40] Speaker 7: Oh.
[2:40] Speaker 4: Do we know what he did? Yeah, I think robbery.
[2:44] Speaker 5: He robbed a place and he made a run for it.
[2:46] Speaker 5: I have a question. Did he pay for the Maccas?
[2:50] Speaker 4: Did he pay for it? I actually think he did.
[2:53] Speaker 12: Oh, there you go.
[2:54] Speaker 10: I think he might have. I don't know where he
[2:55] Speaker 10: got the money from. He probably robbed someone.
[2:57] Speaker 5: Maybe.
[2:59] Speaker 4: So how did this end?
[3:01] Speaker 5: Did you ever proceed with the relationship?
[3:03] Speaker 4: Oh, there was definitely no relationship. We have the book
[3:06] Speaker 4: of answers here. Oh, we do. We do. I love this. Yes. Okay,
[3:10] Speaker 4: so we.
[3:10] Speaker 5: Have fortunes in this bag.
[3:12] Speaker 13: Okay.
[3:12] Speaker 1: And then a book of answers which has yes or
[3:15] Speaker 1: no statements in it. Liv will run her hands through it,
[3:19] Speaker 1: and when you say stop, whatever answer comes up is
[3:22] Speaker 1: to the.
[3:23] Speaker 4: That's meant to be for me.
[3:24] Speaker 9: Exactly. So what would you prefer?
[3:25] Speaker 4: It's not you choose that and then it answers you? No,
[3:30] Speaker 4: you can just choose both. Let's just choose both.
[3:32] Speaker 5: You ask this a question, any question you want, maybe
[3:35] Speaker 5: about the guy.
[3:35] Speaker 9: Yeah.
[3:36] Speaker 4: I don't care about him.
[3:37] Speaker 5: Celeste, you can ask whatever you want.
[3:40] Speaker 4: Will I find love this year? Not long left.
[3:43] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[3:43] Speaker 4: All right. Tell me when to stop.
[3:45] Speaker 5: Tell me when to stop.
[3:47] Speaker 4: Stop.
[3:49] Speaker 7: Oh.
[3:50] Speaker 5: General persistence will pay off. General persistence will pay off.
[3:54] Speaker 5: That's amazing.
[3:55] Speaker 4: I'm very persistent. Yeah.
[3:56] Speaker 5: There's someone on the scene.
[3:57] Speaker 4: There's a little crush.
[3:58] Speaker 5: We haven't done the fortune yet.
[4:00] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[4:01] Speaker 9: See what this relates to.
[4:04] Speaker 10: You are going to become wildly successful because someone less
[4:07] Speaker 10: talented annoyed you.
[4:09] Speaker 4: Valid. But I don't know what it means, but I'm
[4:11] Speaker 4: going to, can I keep it?
[4:13] Speaker 5: It might be from this story.
[4:14] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[4:15] Speaker 13: Yeah.
[4:16] Speaker 5: You might rise into a bit of success from this.
[4:18] Speaker 4: Well, thank you so much. You're welcome, Olivia. So, so
[4:21] Speaker 4: exciting to be here.
[4:22] Speaker 5: I'm obsessed with you.
[4:23] Speaker 4: I love you guys.
[4:25] Speaker 7: Enjoy.
[4:25] Speaker 4: Good luck.
[4:26] Speaker 5: Thank you.
[4:26] Speaker 14: So you, I love you more.
[4:35] Speaker 4: My name's Alex. Nice to meet you, Alex. I'm from Vancouver.
[4:37] Speaker 4: We're going worldwide, guys.
[4:40] Speaker 3: Now, Alex.
[4:40] Speaker 9: Yes.
[4:41] Speaker 4: Can you please tell us your story?
[4:42] Speaker 3: Sure.
[4:43] Speaker 7: So I work in mental health, like in the emergency room.
[4:45] Speaker 7: So even just like seeing you guys talking, I'm like,
[4:48] Speaker 7: what story?
[4:49] Speaker 4: Yeah, you probably have.
[4:52] Speaker 6: Totally.
[4:52] Speaker 7: Like every day I'm like, what is the craziest thing
[4:54] Speaker 7: that happened today? But like my favorite one is like,
[4:57] Speaker 7: it's kind of like cute. It's like kind of kind
[4:58] Speaker 7: of sweet, especially because like in the emergency room, like
[5:01] Speaker 7: everyone's like, kind of bonkers they're like unwell they're doing
[5:05] Speaker 7: whatever and like my job is to like make them
[5:08] Speaker 7: feel comfortable and like get them the care that they
[5:11] Speaker 7: need you.
[5:11] Speaker 6: Have that energy yeah i asked you before you even
[5:17] Speaker 6: spoke if we could be friends yeah and that's a
[5:19] Speaker 6: great personality trait it's.
[5:21] Speaker 7: A good it's good vibes it's just like I like
[5:23] Speaker 7: doing my job and then I come to work as
[5:25] Speaker 7: I am and it helps meet people where they're at.
[5:29] Speaker 5: You need to stop crying.
[5:31] Speaker 4: It's like therapy.
[5:32] Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what.
[5:34] Speaker 4: It is sometimes.
[5:34] Speaker 7: Sometimes people are just having such a hard time and
[5:36] Speaker 7: they just need someone to talk to. Sometimes it's, like,
[5:39] Speaker 7: talking people off of a ledge.
[5:40] Speaker 9: Absolutely.
[5:41] Speaker 7: And then sometimes, like, it makes me feel good when
[5:44] Speaker 7: we get to have a good conversation and we get
[5:47] Speaker 7: to figure out, like, what's going on. And, like, actually, maybe, like,
[5:51] Speaker 7: this is a solvable thing. Or, like, ooh, maybe you
[5:53] Speaker 7: need a little bit of help. Maybe you got to
[5:54] Speaker 7: stay with us for a few days. Like, we'll keep
[5:56] Speaker 7: you safe and all that kind of stuff.
[5:57] Speaker 5: They just need one person to listen and you're that person.
[5:59] Speaker 7: Yeah, and it's, like, that's my favorite part of the job. Like,
[6:01] Speaker 7: I get to talk to people. And there's this one lady, like,
[6:05] Speaker 7: I guess this is the story, but there's this one lady, um...
[6:09] Speaker 7: I haven't seen her in a while. So it makes
[6:10] Speaker 7: me think that she's actually doing really well, which is great. Um,
[6:13] Speaker 7: but she kept coming in for like every so often
[6:16] Speaker 7: cause she didn't take her meds and stuff like that.
[6:18] Speaker 7: And then I get a call from my charge nurse
[6:20] Speaker 7: and they're like, Hey Alex, like this person's coming in.
[6:23] Speaker 7: Like we're going to need restraints. We need to put
[6:24] Speaker 7: her there in the quiet room. Like, okay, what, what's
[6:26] Speaker 7: going on? Like what's happening? And they're like, like, she's
[6:28] Speaker 7: acting so wild. Like all the cops, like all these,
[6:31] Speaker 7: all these people coming in. And so I'm like, okay,
[6:34] Speaker 7: like when I hear that we have to prepare for
[6:36] Speaker 7: the worst because keeping people safe, like that's, that's the
[6:39] Speaker 7: main thing.
[6:41] Speaker 11: Yeah.
[6:41] Speaker 9: Exactly.
[6:42] Speaker 7: So we have the stretcher, we have all our security.
[6:45] Speaker 7: I go out into like the ambulance bay and I'm
[6:47] Speaker 7: just like, Oh geez. Like I know this lady, like
[6:49] Speaker 7: we've had, we've had like a good laugh before and
[6:51] Speaker 7: she's needed the quiet room sometimes just cause.
[6:53] Speaker 11: Like too much is happening.
[6:55] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[6:55] Speaker 4: Decompress.
[6:56] Speaker 6: Exactly.
[6:56] Speaker 7: Like we're going to dim the lights. Like you'll just
[6:59] Speaker 7: have some quiet time. Like we'll let the meds kick in.
[7:01] Speaker 7: Like you'll be good girl. Like it'll be fine. And
[7:04] Speaker 7: so I knew this and then I get the report
[7:07] Speaker 7: from the cops. They're like, yeah, she was like running
[7:09] Speaker 7: around in like this pharmacy and started like screaming and
[7:13] Speaker 7: yelling and like she wouldn't listen.
[7:15] Speaker 11: And it's just like, oh, that's such a traumatic situation.
[7:17] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[7:18] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[7:18] Speaker 7: And so they're like, how do you want to do this?
[7:19] Speaker 7: Do you want us to like just go in and then, like,
[7:22] Speaker 7: take her out of the cop car.
[7:23] Speaker 11: I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
[7:24] Speaker 7: Let's talk to her first. Let's see what's going on.
[7:26] Speaker 7: And then, so, we open the cop car door and
[7:30] Speaker 7: I'm just like, hey, it's me. And she's like, oh,
[7:34] Speaker 7: my God, hi, Alex. Like, super, like, she's so manic
[7:37] Speaker 7: right now. She's, like, talking a mile a minute. She's like,
[7:39] Speaker 7: you'll never guess what happened.
[7:40] Speaker 4: Like, da-da-da-da-da.
[7:40] Speaker 11: And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. So, this is
[7:42] Speaker 11: what's happening? Like, it doesn't sound like you're doing well.
[7:45] Speaker 11: And she's like, no, absolutely not. But, like, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. And
[7:48] Speaker 11: then I'm like, okay, well.
[7:50] Speaker 7: Like last time, we got to bring you in. We
[7:52] Speaker 7: got to settle you again. And she's like, okay, cool.
[7:55] Speaker 11: And I'm like, okay.
[7:57] Speaker 4: She's like, oh, my bestie.
[7:58] Speaker 7: Yeah, she's just like, oh, I'm just going to, this
[8:01] Speaker 7: is the person I get to yap with.
[8:02] Speaker 4: And I'm like, okay, cool, great.
[8:04] Speaker 7: And so I'm just like, okay, like we got the
[8:07] Speaker 7: restraints and the meds and everything, but like, Like, do
[8:10] Speaker 7: you need them?
[8:11] Speaker 11: Like, are you going to be chill? Are you going
[8:12] Speaker 11: to walk with me? And she's like, oh, I'll walk
[8:14] Speaker 11: with you.
[8:15] Speaker 5: Can you imagine all the cops?
[8:17] Speaker 7: Exactly. And so I'm just like, OK, come with me. Like,
[8:21] Speaker 7: if you're going to be chill, I'll be chill. Like,
[8:23] Speaker 7: no one's going to put their hands on you.
[8:25] Speaker 11: Like, you just walk with me.
[8:26] Speaker 7: We'll get you some meds. We'll get you settled, changed,
[8:29] Speaker 7: all that jazz. And she's like, cool, okay. We walk in.
[8:32] Speaker 7: This horde of cops and security are, like, walking behind us.
[8:36] Speaker 7: And I'm basically, like, skipping along the, like, in the
[8:38] Speaker 7: emergency room with this gal and just, like, yapping away.
[8:41] Speaker 11: And I'm like, ooh, what's going on?
[8:42] Speaker 7: And, like, assessing her, being like, what, like, why are
[8:46] Speaker 7: you not feeling so well and stuff like that?
[8:47] Speaker 11: And all the cops are just like... That's it?
[8:49] Speaker 5: They're like, what kind of magic does Alex have?
[8:52] Speaker 7: Literally.
[8:53] Speaker 11: And then, like, we get her settled and that's fine.
[8:55] Speaker 11: And I'm like, okay, we don't need you guys. And
[8:56] Speaker 11: they're like, that's it? And I'm like, yeah.
[8:59] Speaker 4: Just be a good person.
[9:01] Speaker 5: Just being human.
[9:02] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[9:02] Speaker 6: Treating people with kindness and having a safe space and
[9:05] Speaker 6: still treating them like a human being.
[9:07] Speaker 5: You didn't treat her like she was sick.
[9:09] Speaker 4: No, I was just like, hey, girl. Yeah. Hey, girl
[9:12] Speaker 4: works in every situation.
[9:13] Speaker 14: Yeah, totally.
[9:13] Speaker 4: That's a lie.
[9:15] Speaker 11: Like, I'm not the biggest, tallest, like, macho dude such.
[9:18] Speaker 7: A beautiful presence yeah and it works so well in
[9:21] Speaker 7: my line of work that's like my favorite part of
[9:23] Speaker 7: the job being.
[9:24] Speaker 9: Able to help people and like connect.
[9:26] Speaker 7: With them and it's like such a traumatic thing generally
[9:28] Speaker 7: but being able to like be the person to be
[9:30] Speaker 7: like okay here's here's the start of things this is
[9:33] Speaker 7: what's about to happen but like you're safe you're.
[9:35] Speaker 6: Fine do we do a quick yeah let's do a
[9:38] Speaker 6: book of answers so this is a book of answers
[9:40] Speaker 6: you can ask any question relating to your story or
[9:43] Speaker 6: if you just have a question the book.
[9:45] Speaker 5: Of answers maybe about what your last day in sydney
[9:47] Speaker 5: is going to be like.
[9:48] Speaker 4: Will you be back in sydney Oh, will I be
[9:50] Speaker 4: back in Sydney?
[9:51] Speaker 9: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
[9:51] Speaker 13: Right.
[9:52] Speaker 11: Or Australia in general.
[9:53] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, we would love that. Whenever you're ready.
[9:55] Speaker 9: Oh, she's flicking.
[9:57] Speaker 13: There.
[9:57] Speaker 9: Okay. Move on.
[10:00] Speaker 4: It just says move on.
[10:01] Speaker 9: It just says move on.
[10:02] Speaker 10: That's all right.
[10:03] Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
[10:03] Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
[10:04] Speaker 9: This is lovely.
[10:06] Speaker 4: Guys, I am not going to lie.
[10:07] Speaker 5: I want an ice cream.
[10:09] Speaker 4: I do too, bro.
[10:10] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[10:11] Speaker 4: Oh God, we got a whole group. What's your name?
[10:13] Speaker 9: My name's Oscar. Hi Oscar.
[10:14] Speaker 4: Hi Oscar.
[10:15] Speaker 5: We're both Olivia. Welcome to In The Comments.
[10:18] Speaker 9: Thank you.
[10:19] Speaker 5: Wait, why does he have a posse behind him?
[10:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, what is this? Alright, alright, alright.
[10:23] Speaker 5: I'm going to have to turn around. This is crazy.
[10:25] Speaker 3: Been friends like a few years, so we started to
[10:27] Speaker 3: plan a trip to Kenya.
[10:29] Speaker 5: Okay, alright.
[10:30] Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
[10:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, so basically we booked our tour guide and we
[10:33] Speaker 3: were with him for like a couple of hours until
[10:35] Speaker 3: we lost him.
[10:36] Speaker 13: So.
[10:38] Speaker 4: What, in the middle of Kenya?
[10:39] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[10:39] Speaker 9: We were just mucking around. We were mucking around too much.
[10:41] Speaker 9: We were, like, taking a piss.
[10:42] Speaker 4: Pause.
[10:43] Speaker 5: What do you mean, mucking around?
[10:45] Speaker 9: Like, it was a group tour. In the safari. Yeah,
[10:47] Speaker 9: so on the own.
[10:48] Speaker 4: With the lions.
[10:49] Speaker 9: Yeah, with the lions.
[10:50] Speaker 4: So you were just fucking around.
[10:51] Speaker 9: Yeah, pretty much.
[10:52] Speaker 5: You were, like, running around and going, come and find me.
[10:54] Speaker 9: Young and dumb, eh?
[10:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[10:56] Speaker 4: Oh, right.
[10:56] Speaker 3: So we were in the car, and then the bloke
[10:58] Speaker 3: told us to hop out because, like, he thought it
[10:59] Speaker 3: was safe, so we all looked around. We strolled a
[11:01] Speaker 3: bit too far, eh? And then we lost our tour guide,
[11:04] Speaker 3: and there was a local river nearby, so we went down.
[11:08] Speaker 9: To the river and then i.
[11:09] Speaker 15: Guess i'm just looking at it and then like this
[11:15] Speaker 15: hippo gets out of the water and we all just
[11:18] Speaker 15: get up and sprint away and like we've got to
[11:20] Speaker 15: like really run fast here and we climbed in a
[11:22] Speaker 15: street and we had.
[11:23] Speaker 5: To stay there overnight so they could get.
[11:25] Speaker 6: Us they're lying this is not true on everything you
[11:30] Speaker 6: love which.
[11:31] Speaker 1: Is what.
[11:33] Speaker 4: Oh, that's beautiful.
[11:34] Speaker 9: I like that.
[11:35] Speaker 4: Wait, you climbed into a tree?
[11:36] Speaker 15: Yeah, we all climbed into a tree. We had to
[11:38] Speaker 15: stay there overnight. Well, we didn't have service, so we
[11:41] Speaker 15: had to wait for them to find us.
[11:42] Speaker 7: What?
[11:43] Speaker 9: Which took like overnight.
[11:45] Speaker 4: What? Was that a good bonding moment?
[11:47] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[11:47] Speaker 5: Did anyone cry?
[11:48] Speaker 9: Nah, we didn't cry.
[11:51] Speaker 5: And guys, it's cool to cry, isn't it?
[11:53] Speaker 9: Yeah, it's not bad to cry.
[11:55] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[11:55] Speaker 5: When was the last time you cried, Oscar?
[11:57] Speaker 9: Oh, maybe like two months ago. All right.
[12:00] Speaker 13: Why?
[12:00] Speaker 4: She cried yesterday.
[12:02] Speaker 9: Reasons, you know.
[12:02] Speaker 4: Did you have a breakup?
[12:04] Speaker 1: You can ask the book of answers a question and
[12:06] Speaker 1: it could relate to your story or something else.
[12:08] Speaker 5: Just anything, like maybe you'd want to ask about your ex.
[12:10] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[12:12] Speaker 5: Or you could be like, was that hippo going to
[12:14] Speaker 5: kill me? Okay, so ask the question.
[12:16] Speaker 3: Was the hippo going to kill all four of us?
[12:18] Speaker 5: Okay, and then I'm going to flip through and you
[12:20] Speaker 5: tell me when to stop, right?
[12:23] Speaker 9: Stop.
[12:25] Speaker 5: Follow the advice of experts so probably so.
[12:27] Speaker 6: Probably yeah yeah you're probably all gonna be fucked yeah.
[12:31] Speaker 2: Yeah there you go oh thank you yuck you kids
[12:35] Speaker 2: get away yuck yuck go to school guys you should
[12:41] Speaker 2: do this you should.
[12:42] Speaker 6: Anything you can be on a podcast and people will
[12:46] Speaker 6: be like wow You look extremely cool.
[12:51] Speaker 4: I'm excited to hear this story.
[12:53] Speaker 6: So basically what this is, you get to tell us
[12:55] Speaker 6: a crazy story and then we have the book of answers.
[12:57] Speaker 5: You ask it a question and then you'll be on
[13:00] Speaker 5: our podcast.
[13:01] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[13:01] Speaker 4: Beautiful.
[13:02] Speaker 5: So if you want to just take the floor, tell
[13:04] Speaker 5: us your story.
[13:04] Speaker 6: Okay.
[13:05] Speaker 4: So I'm telling you my story. That's actually my life story.
[13:08] Speaker 4: That's when I become to be a person. Okay. Because
[13:12] Speaker 4: I've been straight my whole life. Okay. Because I've got
[13:15] Speaker 4: a very, very religious background. So I was born in
[13:18] Speaker 4: a church. I've been there, you know, trying to find Jesus.
[13:21] Speaker 4: Jesus didn't find me.
[13:22] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[13:23] Speaker 14: And then my first kiss with the woman was with
[13:27] Speaker 14: a woman who was studying to be.
[13:28] Speaker 4: A pastor in the church.
[13:29] Speaker 1: Wow.
[13:30] Speaker 6: Okay.
[13:30] Speaker 14: So we became friends, like not like intentionally to have
[13:35] Speaker 14: anything else.
[13:35] Speaker 4: And then with this friendship.
[13:38] Speaker 14: I didn't know there was lesbian Ada. You know, I
[13:41] Speaker 14: always had the style and the stereotype, but I never
[13:44] Speaker 14: allowed myself that I could explore that.
[13:46] Speaker 13: Yes.
[13:47] Speaker 4: So that kiss came very late in my life when
[13:49] Speaker 4: I was 20. Wow. So I have boyfriends, you know,
[13:53] Speaker 4: I had a boyfriend for four years. Wow. Never enjoyed
[13:56] Speaker 4: that much.
[13:57] Speaker 14: And then this woman who was in a church, I
[14:00] Speaker 14: met her and then she kissed.
[14:02] Speaker 4: Me, not the other way around.
[14:04] Speaker 5: How did the kiss happen?
[14:05] Speaker 4: So we went to.
[14:05] Speaker 14: A party, went to travel, you know, she didn't drink,
[14:09] Speaker 14: didn't do anything wrong, but the.
[14:10] Speaker 4: Party was okay.
[14:11] Speaker 5: As a pastor, can you kiss anyone?
[14:13] Speaker 4: No, she shouldn't be kissing. She shouldn't kiss anyone, not
[14:16] Speaker 4: even men.
[14:17] Speaker 14: Anyone, like, just you should introduce the person to her pastor,
[14:20] Speaker 14: to her pastor to approve. And then they could, before
[14:24] Speaker 14: getting involved in something, they would ask for God's permission.
[14:27] Speaker 8: Yes.
[14:28] Speaker 4: If they got a sign.
[14:29] Speaker 5: Because technically a pastor is like married to God.
[14:32] Speaker 6: Yes.
[14:32] Speaker 14: That's a long journey for you to be able to
[14:35] Speaker 14: kiss someone.
[14:36] Speaker 9: Okay.
[14:36] Speaker 4: If that's a woman.
[14:37] Speaker 7: No.
[14:38] Speaker 14: So this kiss had happened out of nowhere. And then
[14:41] Speaker 14: for me, it was like, okay, that's how.
[14:43] Speaker 4: I want to live my life.
[14:44] Speaker 5: So did she just come up and kiss you?
[14:46] Speaker 14: No, she was like, we became having like a very
[14:49] Speaker 14: flirting friendship with a lot of jealousy involved. You know,
[14:55] Speaker 14: I was dating men. She was like always pointing something
[14:59] Speaker 14: bad about them. And I was always like, enjoying that
[15:03] Speaker 14: she didn't like them so I didn't know what was
[15:05] Speaker 14: happening yes you know I didn't understood there was like
[15:08] Speaker 14: something sexual going.
[15:10] Speaker 5: On yeah and then even.
[15:11] Speaker 14: When I noticed it I was like okay this is
[15:13] Speaker 14: not okay this is just me yes and I'm not
[15:16] Speaker 14: gonna go proceed with this it's not mutual No, no.
[15:19] Speaker 4: And that's not right. For me, it wasn't right. That
[15:21] Speaker 4: was also from the church. And my parents, very religious
[15:24] Speaker 4: as well. Yeah, okay.
[15:25] Speaker 5: So scary.
[15:26] Speaker 4: And then we very close in a party. You know,
[15:29] Speaker 4: she decided to drink that night. That's the thing. Okay, yes.
[15:32] Speaker 14: So I was like, okay, you're not a pastor yet.
[15:34] Speaker 14: Let's have some fun. I'm not a very good.
[15:37] Speaker 4: Influence, anyways.
[15:39] Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
[15:39] Speaker 4: You know, I haven't... You wanna have fun, you're young,
[15:41] Speaker 4: you're only 20. You know, I think that you can
[15:43] Speaker 4: be next to God and you can still drink. That's
[15:46] Speaker 4: my belief. And then she, we got, you got drunk.
[15:49] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[15:49] Speaker 4: And then, like, touching and stuff, you know, gonna be
[15:52] Speaker 4: more sexual.
[15:52] Speaker 14: And then a big kiss had happened.
[15:54] Speaker 2: Oh!
[15:55] Speaker 4: And then I was like, whoa.
[15:56] Speaker 5: Yes.
[15:57] Speaker 4: And then we pretend nothing happened, you know, but for me,
[16:00] Speaker 4: that's when I understand, okay, I got feelings for this person. Yeah.
[16:04] Speaker 4: And then we start like, okay, this is not going
[16:06] Speaker 4: to happen again.
[16:07] Speaker 13: Yeah.
[16:07] Speaker 4: She was like, you're having a lot of conflict. I'm
[16:09] Speaker 4: going to the hell.
[16:10] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[16:10] Speaker 4: What's going to go? I hope God can forgive us.
[16:13] Speaker 2: Yes.
[16:13] Speaker 4: I'm like, man, do you know what? Yeah. If the
[16:15] Speaker 4: hell is like this, that's why I want to go
[16:17] Speaker 4: by turbo gun.
[16:17] Speaker 7: Oh.
[16:18] Speaker 14: I want to be there. I want to be in
[16:19] Speaker 14: the house. That's what's going to happen there. And then, yes,
[16:24] Speaker 14: and then we kept the friendship. And then lots of
[16:28] Speaker 14: kiss kept happening, you know, and then like drinking is
[16:32] Speaker 14: an excuse to kiss.
[16:33] Speaker 5: This sounds like a TV show.
[16:34] Speaker 4: So that was always happening. That's always the same circle.
[16:37] Speaker 4: This is not okay. This is wrong. Let's go to
[16:40] Speaker 4: the church. Let's say I'm sorry. And then it was
[16:43] Speaker 4: happening again. So at some point it was like, okay,
[16:45] Speaker 4: I've got feelings for you.
[16:46] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:46] Speaker 4: I can't keep doing this.
[16:47] Speaker 13: No.
[16:48] Speaker 9: And then she was like, okay, let's be girlfriends then.
[16:50] Speaker 2: Oh.
[16:51] Speaker 4: And then we were girlfriends for two days. Oh. Two days.
[16:54] Speaker 6: Okay.
[16:55] Speaker 4: Two days. She was like, okay, let's come out.
[16:57] Speaker 9: Yeah.
[16:57] Speaker 4: You're going to tell everybody and then you're going to
[16:59] Speaker 4: have to leave the church.
[17:00] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
[17:01] Speaker 4: You know, she's like, okay, let's do it. But then
[17:03] Speaker 4: she was like, no, I can't. She got scared.
[17:04] Speaker 9: I can't do this.
[17:05] Speaker 4: She's married to a man now. We haven't spoke since then.
[17:09] Speaker 4: How old are you now?
[17:10] Speaker 9: I am 35. Oh.
[17:12] Speaker 14: Yes that was my first kiss yes you know.
[17:16] Speaker 5: And then did you move here I.
[17:18] Speaker 14: Wasn't out as a gay person in Brazil yeah so
[17:21] Speaker 14: I was living a double life yeah you know not
[17:23] Speaker 14: in the church anymore but I was always pretending I
[17:26] Speaker 14: had a boyfriend I was actually a feminine style as
[17:29] Speaker 14: well long hair you know and then when I came
[17:33] Speaker 14: in here I was like okay I'm gonna.
[17:35] Speaker 4: Be who I would be if nobody knew who I am.
[17:37] Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, it was the first time
[17:39] Speaker 4: that I told someone, okay, I'm a lesbian. And I
[17:41] Speaker 4: was like, ouch. And now look at you.
[17:44] Speaker 14: And I was like, oh my God, I'm telling people.
[17:45] Speaker 14: When I heard this coming out of my mouth, I
[17:48] Speaker 14: was like, okay, this is wild.
[17:50] Speaker 4: Yeah, it would have been.
[17:51] Speaker 14: You know, and then I was like, so it's been
[17:54] Speaker 14: 12 years that I don't date men.
[17:56] Speaker 4: Because even in Brazil, I was kind of bi. Yeah, yeah.
[18:00] Speaker 14: Just kind of to be seen with men.
[18:02] Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
[18:03] Speaker 4: You know, but since I.
[18:04] Speaker 14: Moved to Australia and then this person tried to talk
[18:06] Speaker 14: to me while I was in here, but she's married
[18:08] Speaker 14: to a man. I was like, okay, I don't have
[18:11] Speaker 14: any unfinished business with this person. She hurt me a lot, actually.
[18:14] Speaker 14: I'm telling the good things, but there was a lot
[18:16] Speaker 14: of emotions involved.
[18:19] Speaker 4: And then, yes. So I've been living in Australia now.
[18:23] Speaker 4: For the rest of your life? Yes. I haven't spoke
[18:25] Speaker 4: to my parents for eight years. Oh, I'm sorry. So
[18:28] Speaker 4: things got better. Yeah. You know, I have a twin sister,
[18:30] Speaker 4: which is very, very girly. So you got the strange version.
[18:33] Speaker 4: Don't worry. You know, the strange version is there. Exactly, yeah.
[18:37] Speaker 4: And that's my story.
[18:38] Speaker 2: Oh.
[18:39] Speaker 6: Thank you so much well like that's an incredible story
[18:46] Speaker 6: yeah and like it's so.
[18:47] Speaker 14: Brave as well there was that was wild you know
[18:50] Speaker 14: i didn't um i didn't know that was my choice
[18:53] Speaker 14: so once i got here i was like okay i'm
[18:55] Speaker 14: gonna live my life how i'm gonna be i was
[18:57] Speaker 14: always pretending even my my traces even the way that
[19:00] Speaker 14: i behave the way that i move.
[19:01] Speaker 6: It's quite lesbian Yeah, well it's interesting how when you
[19:05] Speaker 6: are trying to hide who you are, but you're forced
[19:07] Speaker 6: into positions where you just have to accept it anyway.
[19:10] Speaker 14: Yeah, and then you're always like worried how you look,
[19:12] Speaker 14: if you're behaving accordingly, if you're moving, and then that's
[19:15] Speaker 14: very tiring.
[19:16] Speaker 4: It is, it's so tiring.
[19:17] Speaker 14: You know, it's very tiring to pretend to be straight.
[19:20] Speaker 14: Imagine you pretend to be lesbian, that's hard.
[19:21] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[19:22] Speaker 4: It's not easy, try.
[19:23] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[19:23] Speaker 4: I mean, when I'm here, try!
[19:27] Speaker 6: We can we get people to ask a question to
[19:29] Speaker 6: the book of answers okay so any question any question
[19:32] Speaker 6: it could be about i don't know would it be
[19:34] Speaker 6: crazy i'm gonna ask you for you too yeah you ask.
[19:36] Speaker 5: This and then we flick and then we stop when
[19:39] Speaker 5: you tell us.
[19:40] Speaker 6: To stop let's ask a question yes or no or
[19:43] Speaker 6: yes yeah yeah so what do you reckon because are you.
[19:46] Speaker 4: Seeing anyone at the moment.
[19:48] Speaker 1: Me yeah no should we ask if you're about to
[19:51] Speaker 1: yeah if you're about to find the love of your
[19:52] Speaker 1: life okay let's do it because that's what i'm looking
[19:55] Speaker 1: for okay perfect i'm looking for a love of my
[19:57] Speaker 1: life guys.
[19:57] Speaker 6: Okay so you tell me when to stop uh stop.
[20:02] Speaker 4: You'll need to consider other ways.
[20:04] Speaker 6: So maybe how you're going about it.
[20:07] Speaker 4: I know because I've been meeting good girls. Yeah. And
[20:11] Speaker 4: they're too right. Too correct about everything.
[20:15] Speaker 7: You know.
[20:15] Speaker 4: Oh, so like they're almost too perfect? Too perfect.
[20:18] Speaker 8: What?
[20:19] Speaker 5: Yeah, you need a bit of... That doesn't exist.
[20:20] Speaker 4: I need a bit of adventure, you know, like that.
[20:23] Speaker 4: That's why I need to heal. I like a grandma.
[20:26] Speaker 4: There you go, there you go.
[20:26] Speaker 9: I know, I need to consider.
[20:27] Speaker 5: Okay, so you need to go for it. You need to,
[20:28] Speaker 5: you have a type.
[20:29] Speaker 2: Okay.
[20:30] Speaker 5: Try something else.
[20:30] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[20:31] Speaker 4: If I have a type, try something else.
[20:32] Speaker 5: You're going for something that's just not working. So go
[20:34] Speaker 5: for someone that maybe you would never go for.
[20:36] Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
[20:36] Speaker 6: Okay.
[20:37] Speaker 4: A man?
[20:37] Speaker 9: No, joking.
[20:39] Speaker 4: Do you try that? I'm not going back there. I
[20:44] Speaker 4: am not going back there.
[20:45] Speaker 9: Oh my God.
[20:46] Speaker 4: Thank you so much. I appreciate it. You are awesome.
[20:48] Speaker 4: Very good luck with your podcast. Thank you so much.
[20:51] Speaker 5: Do I have.
[20:52] Speaker 4: A sweat patch? I think I do.
[20:54] Speaker 5: So my crazy story is basically when I was maybe
[20:56] Speaker 5: 14 years old, I had.
[21:06] Speaker 13: Got gifted these two baby guinea pigs for my birthday
[21:09] Speaker 13: from my mum and they were like really really cute
[21:12] Speaker 13: just like adorable and I was obsessed with them and
[21:15] Speaker 13: I had to leave them because I do one week
[21:17] Speaker 13: on one week off at my parents house when I
[21:19] Speaker 13: was younger I was at my dad's house child of
[21:21] Speaker 13: divorce I was at my dad's house for a week
[21:25] Speaker 13: I came back to my mum's and there was only
[21:28] Speaker 13: one guinea pig left and it was because my stepdad
[21:31] Speaker 13: had eaten it.
[21:33] Speaker 9: What?
[21:34] Speaker 4: I thought that was not what I thought.
[21:36] Speaker 6: Okay.
[21:36] Speaker 3: How?
[21:37] Speaker 4: Why?
[21:38] Speaker 13: Because he thought it was a delicacy from Peru and
[21:44] Speaker 13: he just.
[21:44] Speaker 5: Wanted to give it a go.
[21:45] Speaker 3: What? Yeah.
[21:46] Speaker 4: Oh my God.
[21:47] Speaker 13: So he.
[21:48] Speaker 5: Killed it and ate it himself.
[21:50] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[21:51] Speaker 4: And what did you, how old were you? I was 14.
[21:53] Speaker 5: I was just like, kind of like, fuck.
[21:55] Speaker 4: Was it nice? Did he say?
[21:57] Speaker 5: He said he seasoned it well.
[21:58] Speaker 6: Okay.
[21:59] Speaker 4: What was that?
[22:00] Speaker 5: What was its name?
[22:01] Speaker 4: I don't remember now.
[22:03] Speaker 5: It's probably a good thing. Trauma blocked that out of
[22:05] Speaker 5: my head. We could ask a question from beyond the grave. Yeah,
[22:07] Speaker 5: we can ask a question to your guinea pig maybe.
[22:09] Speaker 4: Oh my God, yes. Do you have a question?
[22:10] Speaker 5: It needs to be a yes or no question. And
[22:13] Speaker 5: then if you have one, Liv will flick through. You
[22:16] Speaker 5: tell her when to stop.
[22:17] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[22:18] Speaker 5: A question for my dead guinea pig that got eaten.
[22:21] Speaker 5: Eaten alive. Is your stepdad well?
[22:25] Speaker 6: Did he get sick from it?
[22:28] Speaker 4: I don't think so.
[22:29] Speaker 5: I think he's just kind of crazy like that. Yeah.
[22:33] Speaker 5: But I'd love to know what my guinea pig's doing
[22:35] Speaker 5: on the other side. Is the guinea pig okay? Yeah,
[22:37] Speaker 5: because it's sort of a yes or no statement. Is
[22:39] Speaker 5: the guinea pig okay?
[22:41] Speaker 4: Alright, I'll run my hands through.
[22:42] Speaker 5: And you tell me when to stop.
[22:45] Speaker 4: Stop.
[22:46] Speaker 6: Oh.
[22:47] Speaker 4: No. We have a direction O. The guinea pig is
[22:52] Speaker 4: not okay.
[22:53] Speaker 6: And in hindsight, that might have been a dumb question.
[22:56] Speaker 4: That might have been dumb.
[22:57] Speaker 5: The guinea pig.
[22:58] Speaker 6: Got cooked and eaten by a stepdad while its owner
[23:01] Speaker 6: was away at the other parent's house.
[23:03] Speaker 5: So it probably isn't okay.
[23:04] Speaker 4: And do you know what?
[23:05] Speaker 5: That's no fault of yours. In some countries, it's normal.
[23:11] Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what? A delicacy. Yeah, exactly.
[23:14] Speaker 13: I just don't really want to. run into my guinea
[23:17] Speaker 13: pig in the afterlife and just.
[23:19] Speaker 6: No well we could ask another question yeah yeah why
[23:21] Speaker 6: not if you do.
[23:22] Speaker 13: Will it be okay will we make amends in the
[23:24] Speaker 13: afterlife will you make amends okay tell me when to
[23:27] Speaker 13: stop stop There will be obstacles to overcome.
[23:32] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all right. That's fine.
[23:33] Speaker 5: A bit of open communication.
[23:35] Speaker 4: And guinea pigs are small, so you can just kick it.
[23:37] Speaker 4: You can get some closure, you know?
[23:39] Speaker 6: Yeah. You just say, sorry, I think just the obstacles
[23:41] Speaker 6: could be just a nice conversation because I've heard that
[23:44] Speaker 6: guinea pigs can talk in the afterlife.
[23:46] Speaker 5: Big for forgiveness.
[23:47] Speaker 8: Yes.
[23:48] Speaker 5: Well, thank you so.
[23:49] Speaker 3: Much, Olivia.
[23:50] Speaker 4: That was great.
[23:51] Speaker 5: That was a beautiful story. I'm so happy you enjoyed it.
[23:53] Speaker 5: Shocking in ways.
[23:55] Speaker 6: That i really enjoyed a clear beginning middle and end
[23:58] Speaker 6: you know what's good about that story is that you
[24:00] Speaker 6: have a very calm demeanor yes oh yeah i if
[24:03] Speaker 6: i was telling that story people would immediately know that
[24:05] Speaker 6: something bad was going to happen whereas i was like
[24:07] Speaker 6: what's she gonna tell us yeah you know because it's
[24:10] Speaker 6: just a nice subtle voice your voice put me to sleep.
[24:12] Speaker 1: There you go well thank you so much thank you
[24:16] Speaker 1: so much it's so funny so good i can't believe
[24:19] Speaker 1: he ate that What the fuck, bro?
[24:21] Speaker 5: I didn't even choose for you to be in my
[24:22] Speaker 5: life and now you get my guinea pig.
[24:24] Speaker 9: Jesus.
[24:25] Speaker 4: We don't bite.
[24:26] Speaker 13: Okay.
[24:28] Speaker 4: All right, boys. Yes.
[24:30] Speaker 5: You've got a story. A mutual story, is it?
[24:32] Speaker 4: We have a story, but one of us remembers it
[24:34] Speaker 4: better than the other. Who does? Okay, so we'll get Byron.
[24:37] Speaker 9: So, Anzac Day.
[24:38] Speaker 10: Yeah.
[24:39] Speaker 1: We.
[24:41] Speaker 4: Did a big little, well, big pub crawl.
[24:44] Speaker 9: Okay. In Australia?
[24:45] Speaker 5: In Australia, yeah.
[24:47] Speaker 9: So playing a bunch of two-up, a bunch of drinks,
[24:49] Speaker 9: good fun.
[24:51] Speaker 8: And then we, eventually it comes to the point of
[24:54] Speaker 8: the night where we need to go home.
[24:56] Speaker 1: Yes.
[24:57] Speaker 8: And then we're looking for the e-bikes on the map. Like,
[25:01] Speaker 8: you know how you can see all of them on
[25:03] Speaker 8: the map. And then we cut through this, like, bush
[25:07] Speaker 8: and then into this apartment complex. Okay.
[25:09] Speaker 13: Okay.
[25:10] Speaker 8: And there's this big ledge to get over to access
[25:15] Speaker 8: the e-bike.
[25:16] Speaker 9: And it's about a.
[25:17] Speaker 4: Seven meter drop, which we're not aware.
[25:20] Speaker 9: Of at the time. And then unfortunately, yeah, there's a
[25:24] Speaker 9: video of it. We're on foot, yeah.
[25:26] Speaker 8: Then unfortunately, Harry here jumped over the ledge.
[25:30] Speaker 9: Yeah, he jumped.
[25:32] Speaker 5: You jumped down.
[25:33] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[25:34] Speaker 4: I'll show you the video. There's a good video of this.
[25:36] Speaker 9: It was at least seven meters.
[25:38] Speaker 4: So it was pitch black. Pitch black, pretty much.
[25:40] Speaker 5: And then what was the conversation like? Oh, bro, you
[25:43] Speaker 5: do it, Harry.
[25:44] Speaker 8: Go on.
[25:44] Speaker 9: Not much conversation. No, no, zero conversation at all.
[25:47] Speaker 4: No, all right.
[25:47] Speaker 5: So Byron, you were like, I'm going to get Harry
[25:49] Speaker 5: to do this.
[25:49] Speaker 9: Yeah, well, Harry's looking for the e-bikes. I was going
[25:52] Speaker 9: for it. It wasn't like we nominated him.
[25:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no.
[25:56] Speaker 9: He was looking for the e-bikes on his phone. Got
[25:59] Speaker 9: a little video here.
[26:00] Speaker 5: Seven metres?
[26:01] Speaker 9: It was pretty far. I broke three by the way. Yeah,
[26:06] Speaker 9: so then he lands on his feet. Do you want
[26:08] Speaker 9: to tell the story?
[26:09] Speaker 12: Yeah, so I landed on my feet and obviously the
[26:13] Speaker 12: shockwave from landing on my feet came up.
[26:16] Speaker 4: You were in a tree.
[26:17] Speaker 9: Yeah, it looks like a tree.
[26:18] Speaker 4: You were at the top of a tree.
[26:20] Speaker 9: At the top of a tree, yeah.
[26:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, and you dropped. And you thought, I'll let go.
[26:22] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[26:23] Speaker 9: Well, I've been drinking since Friday. I didn't know.
[26:24] Speaker 4: Did you see how far?
[26:25] Speaker 9: Or you just thought?
[26:26] Speaker 4: I didn't even see.
[26:26] Speaker 9: I didn't even look.
[26:28] Speaker 4: God, there could have been alligators out there.
[26:30] Speaker 9: No, I could have died.
[26:32] Speaker 5: You were at the top of a tree. You were
[26:34] Speaker 5: holding on to the top of a tree.
[26:36] Speaker 9: Yeah.
[26:37] Speaker 5: So you're up there and you go, I'm going to
[26:39] Speaker 5: let go.
[26:40] Speaker 4: Are you okay, Harry?
[26:41] Speaker 5: How are you feeling?
[26:42] Speaker 9: I'm good now.
[26:43] Speaker 8: At the start, I thought it was funny and then
[26:45] Speaker 8: I realized he actually probably hurt himself.
[26:47] Speaker 9: So yeah, not so funny after that.
[26:50] Speaker 1: And so it came the shock wave or whatever came
[26:52] Speaker 1: up yeah so.
[26:54] Speaker 12: So i landed on my feet like this and then
[26:56] Speaker 12: i fell back yeah um and the shock wave that
[26:59] Speaker 12: comes through.
[27:00] Speaker 9: The legs it broke all all three here but.
[27:04] Speaker 12: The pain the pain's all on the lower back so
[27:06] Speaker 12: that's how it was this wasn't long ago so how
[27:08] Speaker 12: are you walking so what's going on i don't understand
[27:12] Speaker 12: um so i had about I'd say six weeks proper recovery.
[27:17] Speaker 7: Oh, shit.
[27:17] Speaker 9: Did you have to have an operation? No, no, no,
[27:19] Speaker 9: just lots of painkillers.
[27:21] Speaker 4: That's so awful.
[27:22] Speaker 9: Lifts to the tail, though. Lifts to the tail. Good
[27:25] Speaker 9: to go now.
[27:25] Speaker 5: Did you really have to go back home?
[27:27] Speaker 9: Yeah, I was with my parents for a few weeks.
[27:31] Speaker 13: Whoa.
[27:31] Speaker 9: Did you feel bad? Yeah, of course.
[27:36] Speaker 4: How were you feeling?
[27:39] Speaker 9: I was proper worried. Cause like, no, we didn't get
[27:41] Speaker 9: the ammo. It was late at night.
[27:44] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[27:45] Speaker 9: But he managed to like stand up.
[27:47] Speaker 4: Oh yeah. I do that too.
[27:49] Speaker 5: I break my back and walk it off.
[27:50] Speaker 9: He's a trooper. Yeah.
[27:51] Speaker 1: You know yeah there you go is it the book
[27:54] Speaker 1: of answers time yeah.
[27:56] Speaker 6: So you get to ask any question that you want
[27:58] Speaker 6: i'll flick through and then you tell me when to
[27:59] Speaker 6: start the question can be a yes or no question
[28:02] Speaker 6: it can be did i deserve to break my back
[28:04] Speaker 6: was it byron's fault that i broke my back should
[28:06] Speaker 6: have i died etc etc whatever you kind of feel
[28:10] Speaker 6: um connected to out of those or your own Sounds good.
[28:16] Speaker 5: Is it Byron's fault?
[28:17] Speaker 4: Is it Byron's fault? Is it Byron's fault? Yeah.
[28:19] Speaker 14: Let's see what the book of answers says.
[28:21] Speaker 3: Three, two, one.
[28:22] Speaker 5: Tell me when to stop.
[28:24] Speaker 9: Stop now.
[28:26] Speaker 5: Consider it an opportunity, Byron. What does that mean? I
[28:31] Speaker 5: think Byron could perhaps next time push him.
[28:33] Speaker 9: Does that mean he's breaking his bike next time? No,
[28:35] Speaker 9: hopefully not.
[28:38] Speaker 4: All right.
[28:38] Speaker 3: All right.
[28:39] Speaker 5: And that is the end of In the Comments in
[28:41] Speaker 5: the Wild.
[28:42] Speaker 4: How do you feel? I feel great. I love talking
[28:44] Speaker 4: to strangers. I love it too. I think it's my
[28:46] Speaker 4: new hobby. I think so too. Yeah, yeah.
[28:48] Speaker 5: It felt like really nice to understand people's stories.
[28:51] Speaker 1: It was really good to connect with people face to face.
[28:54] Speaker 5: And I actually felt thrilled by some of the stories.
[28:58] Speaker 4: There was an element of surprise.
[28:59] Speaker 15: Yep.
[29:00] Speaker 6: Someone ate a guinea pig and another broke their back
[29:03] Speaker 6: and you know so that's like kind of all you
[29:05] Speaker 6: need to say that it was a success may i
[29:07] Speaker 6: do hyper specific.
[29:08] Speaker 5: Goodbye that is our goodbye goodbye.
[29:10] Speaker 6: To the people that were at bondi beach today like
[29:13] Speaker 6: not while we're filming today but when you're watching yeah

[29:18] Speaker 5: Broken their backs and goodbye to the people that have
[29:20] Speaker 5: eaten a guinea pig.
[29:22] Speaker 1: Goodbye to guinea pigs in general oh well maybe not
[29:24] Speaker 1: in general.
[29:24] Speaker 5: God that guinea pig is so mad at that girl.
