[0:07] Speaker 1: Welcome to the best of the Bible answer Man broadcast
[0:10] Speaker 1: with your host, Hank Antigraph. The Bible answer Man is
[0:14] Speaker 1: the radio ministry of the Christian Research Institute, designed to
[0:18] Speaker 1: equip believers to defend their faith and become true disciples
[0:22] Speaker 1: of the Lord Jesus Christ, because life and truth matter.
[0:27] Speaker 1: Our phone number is eight eight eight seven thousand CRII.
[0:31] Speaker 1: That's one eight eight eight seven thousand, two seven four.
[0:35] Speaker 1: You can find us on the Internet at equip dot org.
[0:38] Speaker 1: That's equip dot org. The following program was pre recorded,
[0:44] Speaker 1: and now to begin today's broadcast, here's Hank Canagraph.
[0:48] Speaker 2: Thanks vermish Rendy. We do what we do because truth matters,
[0:51] Speaker 2: and of course the Word of God is truth. And
[0:56] Speaker 2: in order for us to apply God's directions to our
[0:58] Speaker 2: everyday lies, we must learn to listen carefully as God
[1:03] Speaker 2: speaks to us through his word. He does speak to
[1:06] Speaker 2: us directly through his word. My sheep listen to my voice.
[1:13] Speaker 2: I know them, said Jesus, and they follow me. One
[1:18] Speaker 2: of the most amazing aspects of the Bible is that
[1:23] Speaker 2: it is alive and active. It's not dead and dull.
[1:28] Speaker 2: God still speaks to us today through the mystery of
[1:32] Speaker 2: his word. The Holy Spirit illumines our minds to what
[1:37] Speaker 2: is revealed in scripture. The Holy Spirit makes us, as
[1:42] Speaker 2: it were, wise up to what is written, but never
[1:47] Speaker 2: beyond what is written. So while we listen, we must
[1:53] Speaker 2: also test the spirits. As the apostle John put it,
[2:00] Speaker 2: do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits see
[2:06] Speaker 2: whether they are from God. Because many false prophets have
[2:14] Speaker 2: gone out into the world. Satan's foremost strategy is to
[2:19] Speaker 2: disguise himself as an angel of light, and his slickest
[2:25] Speaker 2: slogan is feel, don't think, but we are called to
[2:30] Speaker 2: test all things in light the scripture, hold fast to
[2:33] Speaker 2: that which is good. I was thinking about that very
[2:35] Speaker 2: thing as watching John Edward, the notorious Roman Catholic psychic,
[2:43] Speaker 2: who supposedly can give grieving people messages from their departed
[2:51] Speaker 2: loved ones. He sits, as it were, as a vulture
[2:55] Speaker 2: in a tree, praying upon the broken, the weak, and
[3:02] Speaker 2: the hurting. And I was absolutely amazed as I watched
[3:08] Speaker 2: the interview treat this absolute spiritual crook as though he
[3:15] Speaker 2: was some kind of an esteem scientist or some kind
[3:22] Speaker 2: of person who had credibility. And if you are not
[3:28] Speaker 2: girded with truth. You are going to fall for these
[3:34] Speaker 2: kinds of connartists. They're spiritual connartists. I'm gonna call it
[3:40] Speaker 2: like it is. I'm not going to soft pedal it
[3:44] Speaker 2: for you. Edward doing his cold reading shtick sold cumulatively
[3:53] Speaker 2: millions of books. He's made a virtual cottage industry out
[4:00] Speaker 2: of deceiving the gullible. And Christians buy into this as well.
[4:07] Speaker 2: Christians who are not grounded in the word of God,
[4:11] Speaker 2: who do not listen as God speaks to them through
[4:16] Speaker 2: his word, do not test all things in light a scripture.
[4:20] Speaker 2: Hold fast to that which is good. Do not test
[4:25] Speaker 2: the spirits to see whether or not they are from God.
[4:31] Speaker 2: Beware of false prophets. They come to you, said Jesus,
[4:37] Speaker 2: in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are wolves. By their fruit,
[4:44] Speaker 2: you will recognize them. Now, I cannot judge the motives
[4:48] Speaker 2: of any one. I can guess, but I can't ultimately
[4:53] Speaker 2: judge the motives. But we are called to judge. We're
[4:58] Speaker 2: called to test all things. Hold fast that which is good,
[5:03] Speaker 2: and the final court of arbitration is the word of God.
[5:06] Speaker 2: And that's why I can say without any reservation that
[5:09] Speaker 2: John Edward is a spiritual con artist, and if you're
[5:14] Speaker 2: not careful, you will fall for that kind of spiritual
[5:18] Speaker 2: con If you're not prepared to test in my descripture,
[5:24] Speaker 2: and that of course presupposes that you know the word
[5:28] Speaker 2: of God, a lot of you hanging on will go
[5:30] Speaker 2: right to the phone lines. First up is Peter listening
[5:33] Speaker 2: on the web. He's in West Palm Beach, Florida. Hi, Peter,
[5:37] Speaker 2: Hey Hank, how you doing good?
[5:38] Speaker 3: How are you good?
[5:40] Speaker 4: My question is in regards to the Trinity, mainly Christology.
[5:44] Speaker 4: I'm wondering if you believe that for someone to believe
[5:47] Speaker 4: in the eternal nature of Christ, you know, completely equal
[5:50] Speaker 4: with his Father, if that's essential for salvation.
[5:53] Speaker 2: Well, I think the operative question is the question that
[5:56] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ asked, who do you say that I am?
[6:00] Speaker 2: I think it's the mother of all questions. So ultimately
[6:04] Speaker 2: we have to recognize that Jesus Christ does not, as
[6:07] Speaker 2: the Aryans would have you, believe, someone who becomes a
[6:10] Speaker 2: junior partner in creation. But he's the one who spoke
[6:14] Speaker 2: in the universe leapt into existence. Now, I've often said
[6:17] Speaker 2: this on the Bible answer Man broadcast, and I think
[6:19] Speaker 2: it's worth noting. It's not the absence of truth that damns,
[6:24] Speaker 2: it's the despising of truth that damns. And so if
[6:28] Speaker 2: you're at Jehovah's witness and you're into the Aryan heresy,
[6:32] Speaker 2: I think it's crucial to recognize that as you continue
[6:36] Speaker 2: to read the Bible, as you learn what the Bible
[6:39] Speaker 2: actually says, you can't continue to hold on to false teachings.
[6:44] Speaker 2: If you hear in the Bible, answer Man broadcast the
[6:48] Speaker 2: very clear teaching that Jesus Christ is divine, He's the
[6:52] Speaker 2: one who spoke and the universe leapt into existence. And
[6:55] Speaker 2: when you test that out in light descript find out
[6:57] Speaker 2: it's true, but continue to hold on to the Aryan heresy,
[7:01] Speaker 2: then you're despising truth. And if you're despising the mother
[7:05] Speaker 2: of all truths in terms of the nature of God
[7:10] Speaker 2: and the deed of Jesus Christ, then I would say
[7:13] Speaker 2: that you are believing a different gospel, a gospel that
[7:16] Speaker 2: does not have the power to save.
[7:19] Speaker 4: Okay, So, in light of John A twenty four when
[7:21] Speaker 4: he says, unless you believe that I am He, you
[7:23] Speaker 4: will die in your sins, what exactly is the context
[7:26] Speaker 4: there of I Am He? Is I just I am
[7:28] Speaker 4: the Son of God, I am the Christ, or I
[7:29] Speaker 4: am the eternalist begotten son of the Father.
[7:33] Speaker 2: There he is the I am, and I think in
[7:36] Speaker 2: context you have to believe that I am He, which
[7:40] Speaker 2: is to say, I am demonstrating through my works that
[7:45] Speaker 2: I am in fact God. You can see by my
[7:50] Speaker 2: miracles that I am God. In other words, the miracles
[7:53] Speaker 2: of Jesus Christ attest to the fact that he is
[7:57] Speaker 2: in fact divine, and ultimately points as to the quintessential miracle,
[8:04] Speaker 2: which is the miracle of his resurrection. Through the resurrection,
[8:09] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ demonstrates that he has the power to lay
[8:12] Speaker 2: down his life and to take it up again, thus
[8:16] Speaker 2: proving in essence that he is God. Destroy this temple,
[8:19] Speaker 2: I will raise it again in three days. And the
[8:23] Speaker 2: temple that he spoke of was the temple of his body,
[8:25] Speaker 2: although he alluded to the temple because those who did
[8:29] Speaker 2: not believe the genuine temple in their midst would also
[8:32] Speaker 2: see the destruction of the marble temple that had become
[8:38] Speaker 2: the con for all their beliefs, which is to say,
[8:42] Speaker 2: the temple pointed to Jesus. But once you did not
[8:45] Speaker 2: recognize the substance that the shadow points to. The shadow
[8:51] Speaker 2: becomes something that leads you away from true belief in
[8:56] Speaker 2: God as opposed to true belief in God.
[9:01] Speaker 4: Okay, so before a canonization, before the Council of Nicea,
[9:04] Speaker 4: if someone would have sincerely fall into modalism or subordinationism,
[9:08] Speaker 4: you think that would be worthy of perishing the well.
[9:11] Speaker 2: Remember that I think it is a mistake to relate
[9:15] Speaker 2: this to three twenty five AD and the Council of
[9:18] Speaker 2: Nicea and say this is when the idea of the
[9:22] Speaker 2: divinity of Jesus Christ comes into play. The deedy of
[9:25] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ was not established at the Council of Nicea.
[9:28] Speaker 2: It was established in New Testament times. In other words,
[9:34] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ comes and demonstrates to the Pharisees that he
[9:39] Speaker 2: is God. Therefore they are culpable to the truth. They
[9:43] Speaker 2: know that he is the one who walks through the
[9:45] Speaker 2: doorway of Old Testament prophecies, and yet they deny Messiah
[9:50] Speaker 2: in their midst So they are already culpable in the
[9:54] Speaker 2: first century. They didn't have to wait four centuries until
[9:58] Speaker 2: the Council of Nicea cautify a truth which is already
[10:02] Speaker 2: communicated in the Word of God. But what do we
[10:05] Speaker 2: have communicated in the Word of God. We have there's
[10:08] Speaker 2: only one God. We have communicated clearly in the Word
[10:11] Speaker 2: of God that Jesus is God, that the Father is God,
[10:13] Speaker 2: that the Holy Spirit is God. We also have clearly
[10:16] Speaker 2: communicated that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are eternally distinct.
[10:21] Speaker 2: So the Word of God is already communicating that to us. Now,
[10:26] Speaker 2: certainly there's a time in which the Word of God
[10:30] Speaker 2: or the canon is established, and before that time, there's
[10:35] Speaker 2: got to be a lot of grace for those who
[10:36] Speaker 2: may be confused. And that's why I say it's not
[10:40] Speaker 2: the absence of truth that damns, it is the despising
[10:45] Speaker 2: of truth that damns. We will be right back in
[10:47] Speaker 2: just a few moments with more of the Bible answer
[10:49] Speaker 2: Man broadcast. Resources that I talk about on the broadcast
[10:52] Speaker 2: can be accessed on the web at equipped dot org.
[10:56] Speaker 2: So check it out, order information online pertending to your questions.
[11:01] Speaker 2: We'll be right back.
[11:03] Speaker 1: The famous British apologist G. K. Chesterton once noted the
[11:07] Speaker 1: true soldier fights not because he hates what is in
[11:10] Speaker 1: front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.
[11:13] Speaker 1: Because at CRII we love what is behind us, our faith,
[11:17] Speaker 1: our families, and our freedoms. We will never retreat quietly
[11:21] Speaker 1: from the growing assaults on life and truth, even when
[11:24] Speaker 1: the costs are great. We will stand to join like
[11:28] Speaker 1: minded friends in making a difference at home and around
[11:31] Speaker 1: the globe, and to equip fellow believers to stand their
[11:34] Speaker 1: ground courageously. Become a member of CRI's support team. Simply
[11:39] Speaker 1: call eight eight eight seven thousand CRII that's eight eight
[11:43] Speaker 1: eight seven thousand CRI. Or visit our website at equip
[11:48] Speaker 1: dot org. Stay with us. Hank Canagraph will return in
[11:53] Speaker 1: a few moments. Has God Spoken? Are the words of
[12:08] Speaker 1: Scripture merely human in origin? Or are they, in fact
[12:11] Speaker 1: the very words of God himself. Three years in the
[12:16] Speaker 1: making and based on two decades of research and reflection,
[12:20] Speaker 1: Hank Henagraph's monumental book Has God Spoken answers what is
[12:24] Speaker 1: surely the most important question facing our world. In Has
[12:28] Speaker 1: God Spoken? Memorable proofs of the Bible's Divine inspiration, Hank
[12:33] Speaker 1: counters the contentions of the Bible attackers and clearly shows
[12:36] Speaker 1: that belief in the Holy Scriptures is not a guess
[12:39] Speaker 1: or wishful thinking. It is the only logical conclusion after
[12:43] Speaker 1: an honest examination of overwhelming evidence. Order has God spoken
[12:48] Speaker 1: from the Christian Research Institute by calling eighty eight seven
[12:52] Speaker 1: thousand CRII or go online to equip dot org. Equip
[12:57] Speaker 1: dot Org. Bertrand Russell famously said most people would rather
[13:04] Speaker 1: die than think, and many of them do not so
[13:08] Speaker 1: with CRI Support Team members. Support Team members are not
[13:12] Speaker 1: only serious thinkers, but their membership and CRI's Support Team
[13:17] Speaker 1: helps to equip hundreds of thousands of fellow believers around
[13:21] Speaker 1: the globe each and every month. Are you not a member,
[13:24] Speaker 1: then you're missing out. Not only do Support Team members
[13:28] Speaker 1: form the backbone of Christian Research Institute's outreaches, but they
[13:32] Speaker 1: enjoy their selection of resources from our Equipping Essentials library
[13:37] Speaker 1: to discover how you can make a difference twenty four
[13:41] Speaker 1: to seven and equipping believers at home and abroad to
[13:44] Speaker 1: stand for life and truth. Check out the benefits of
[13:48] Speaker 1: membership at equip dot org. Once again, that's equip dot Org.
[14:01] Speaker 5: Truth Matters, Life Matters More by Hank Hannigraph is essentially
[14:05] Speaker 5: two books in one because Truth Matters Part one equips
[14:09] Speaker 5: Christians to defend the essential truth of the historic Christian faith.
[14:13] Speaker 5: In Part two, Hank explains why life matters more and
[14:17] Speaker 5: how we can experience the height of human existence union
[14:21] Speaker 5: with God in Christ. Simply put, the map is not
[14:24] Speaker 5: the territory, the menu is not the meal. We cheat
[14:27] Speaker 5: ourselves of authentic union with Christ when we elevate the
[14:31] Speaker 5: message above the Messiah. Truth matters, Life matters More is
[14:36] Speaker 5: a modern classic and the magnum opus of one of
[14:38] Speaker 5: the great theological minds of our time. To receive Truth matters,
[14:43] Speaker 5: Life matters more, simply call eight eight eight seven thousand
[14:46] Speaker 5: CRI and make a gift in support of the life
[14:49] Speaker 5: changing work of the Christian Research Institute. That's eight eight
[14:52] Speaker 5: eight seven thousand CRI, or go online to equip dot org.
[15:07] Speaker 1: Now back to the Bible answer Man broadcast and your
[15:10] Speaker 1: host and Canagraph.
[15:12] Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Randy, and you go to equipped
[15:14] Speaker 2: dot org to find out how you can get a
[15:17] Speaker 2: personalized copy of one of my books, including the Complete
[15:20] Speaker 2: Bible answer Book Collector's Edition, for your gift to the
[15:23] Speaker 2: ongoing work of the Christian Research Institute. Check it out
[15:27] Speaker 2: on the web at equipped dot org. Let's go back
[15:28] Speaker 2: to the phone lines. Talk to Alan in Jacksonville, Florida.
[15:32] Speaker 2: Hi Allen, Hi Hank.
[15:34] Speaker 6: Good to hear you tonight.
[15:36] Speaker 2: Nice to talk to you.
[15:37] Speaker 3: Hey.
[15:38] Speaker 6: My question is I'm a new Christian and I've had
[15:43] Speaker 6: I've been a Christian for about six months now, and
[15:47] Speaker 6: the I have a friend that got saved at the
[15:49] Speaker 6: same time as well, and he's never really given up one.
[15:54] Speaker 3: Of his like alcohol.
[15:56] Speaker 6: And my question is is once we become saved, were
[16:00] Speaker 6: supposed to try and live, as you know, a walk
[16:02] Speaker 6: as close to God as we possibly can. But what
[16:06] Speaker 6: what do you tell somebody that won't stop the habit
[16:09] Speaker 6: Because the argument that we kind of get into is
[16:14] Speaker 6: that it's, you know, while if we're both saved, we're
[16:19] Speaker 6: still going to the same place. And I guess my
[16:21] Speaker 6: question is is there any where in the Bible that
[16:24] Speaker 6: tells you where is this different levels of heaven?
[16:27] Speaker 2: Or is there different.
[16:28] Speaker 3: Levels of.
[16:31] Speaker 6: Once we get to heaven that someone that just gets
[16:35] Speaker 6: saved and then lead leads a good life as much
[16:38] Speaker 6: as they can. And for someone that knows that they've
[16:42] Speaker 6: been saved at one time in their lives and they
[16:44] Speaker 6: still continue to do some of the things that they've
[16:47] Speaker 6: they that they've done before and they know that it's wrong.
[16:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, certainly, the Bible teaches degrees of reward in
[16:54] Speaker 2: heaven and degrees of punishment, and hell, behold, I come quickly.
[16:57] Speaker 2: My reward is with me, and I'll give to everyone
[17:00] Speaker 2: according to what he has done. Specifically, to your point,
[17:05] Speaker 2: if your friend is genuinely a believer, not someone who
[17:08] Speaker 2: has a said faith, but someone who has a real faith.
[17:12] Speaker 2: If he's genuinely a believer, here's what he did. He
[17:16] Speaker 2: recognized that he was a sinner. He repented of his sin,
[17:21] Speaker 2: which is an old English way of saying, he made
[17:24] Speaker 2: a u turn on the road of life. At one time,
[17:29] Speaker 2: he was living by the dictates of his own will.
[17:31] Speaker 2: He was following his own personal ambition, his own personal
[17:38] Speaker 2: standard of right and wrong. And then he turned and
[17:42] Speaker 2: he followed Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ became lord and
[17:46] Speaker 2: savior of his life. So he realized that he was
[17:49] Speaker 2: a sinner. He repented of his sin, and he received
[17:52] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ as savior and lord. Now what happens when
[17:55] Speaker 2: you repent. You are then willing for Jesus Christ to
[18:01] Speaker 2: be the one who is your leader, and he's your guider.
[18:06] Speaker 2: He's the one who gives you direction that is to say, then,
[18:11] Speaker 2: if you know, by virtue of scripture, that your body
[18:16] Speaker 2: is the temple of the Holy Spirit, you know that
[18:19] Speaker 2: you are then to honor that temple, to nurture that temple,
[18:24] Speaker 2: to take care of that temple. Which means you can't
[18:28] Speaker 2: be a glutton. It means that you can't be a drunkard.
[18:33] Speaker 2: Now does that mean fat people can't get into the
[18:36] Speaker 2: Kingdom of heaven. No. If you're a glutton and you
[18:40] Speaker 2: have over eaten, and you are, by virtue of that overweight,
[18:44] Speaker 2: you are struggling with a problem. I'm right now at
[18:49] Speaker 2: least fifteen pounds over what I'd like to be, and
[18:52] Speaker 2: I'm struggling with that right now. But my desire is
[18:56] Speaker 2: to deal with that issue, to change my eating habits
[19:01] Speaker 2: so that my temple is preserved, so that I can
[19:05] Speaker 2: be a better servant with the time God has given me.
[19:10] Speaker 2: That is true both of my physical body, but it's
[19:13] Speaker 2: also true of the metaphysical aspect of my existence, which
[19:18] Speaker 2: is I want to make sure that my mind is
[19:21] Speaker 2: alert and observant, that I am sober minded. Well, if
[19:25] Speaker 2: I'm imbibing in way too much alcohol, in other words,
[19:29] Speaker 2: if I'm getting drunk wine is a mocker. Beer is
[19:32] Speaker 2: a brawler, and you're not wise if you partake of
[19:35] Speaker 2: too much of them. That's what we're told in Proverbs.
[19:38] Speaker 2: So the point is, if he's willing to change, but
[19:41] Speaker 2: he's struggling with it, that doesn't mean he's not really
[19:44] Speaker 2: a Christian. It means that he's a Christian struggling with
[19:47] Speaker 2: a besetting sin. However, if he's a person that says,
[19:51] Speaker 2: you know what, I've got my insurance policy. I'm going
[19:53] Speaker 2: to live however I want, then you have to question
[19:56] Speaker 2: whether this is a genuine salvation or simply a said
[19:59] Speaker 2: faith right.
[20:01] Speaker 6: Okay, all right, well, thank you. That's that's some good news.
[20:04] Speaker 2: Allen, thank you so much for your call. I want
[20:06] Speaker 2: to go back to the phone lines now. Talk to
[20:07] Speaker 2: Nick Yuba City, California.
[20:09] Speaker 7: Hi, Nick, Hello, mister Anacraft. How are you?
[20:12] Speaker 2: I'm well, thank you? How are you?
[20:14] Speaker 3: Oh?
[20:14] Speaker 7: I'm doing good driving the truck across the country.
[20:17] Speaker 2: Oh good, great?
[20:18] Speaker 3: Okay.
[20:18] Speaker 7: My question is does God put it into our hearts
[20:23] Speaker 7: to you know, to accept Him, to accept Jesus as
[20:26] Speaker 7: our savior. Is it he the one that puts it there?
[20:30] Speaker 7: Or is it we ourselves? We just have we make
[20:34] Speaker 7: the choice. We make the decision.
[20:36] Speaker 2: Well, here's what's going on. From my perspective, I would say,
[20:39] Speaker 2: this is what the Bible says, that we all have
[20:42] Speaker 2: the light of creation. We all have the light of conscience.
[20:45] Speaker 2: If we respond to the light we have, we can
[20:47] Speaker 2: have the light of Christ. The Holy Spirit is wooing us.
[20:50] Speaker 2: He's wooing us through the light of creation. He's wooing
[20:53] Speaker 2: us through the light of conscience. If we love light,
[20:56] Speaker 2: he will give us the light of Jesus Christ. So
[20:59] Speaker 2: we can then respond to the wooing of the Holy Spirit,
[21:03] Speaker 2: or we can reject the wooing of the Holy Spirit.
[21:06] Speaker 2: There are those who say, no, that's wrong. You cannot
[21:10] Speaker 2: respond to the Holy Spirit unless you are elect. That
[21:15] Speaker 2: is a position called compatibilistic or circumstantial freedom. You can
[21:20] Speaker 2: only act in accordance with your nature. The illustration is,
[21:23] Speaker 2: if you're a cow, you can't fly, no matter how
[21:26] Speaker 2: much you may want to fly. If you're a cow,
[21:29] Speaker 2: you can't fly. If you're non elect, you cannot respond
[21:33] Speaker 2: to the wooing of the Holy Spirit because you are
[21:35] Speaker 2: created as an ig noble vessel. And you have people
[21:41] Speaker 2: like Calvin who divine exactly what that means, Calvin, says,
[21:45] Speaker 2: Paul teaches us that the ruin of the wicked is
[21:48] Speaker 2: not only foreseen by the Lord, but also ordained by
[21:53] Speaker 2: the counsel of the Lord, and by the will of
[21:57] Speaker 2: the Lord. Not only the destruction of the wicked is foreknown,
[22:01] Speaker 2: but that the wicked themselves have been created for this
[22:05] Speaker 2: very end, that they may perish. So God is the
[22:08] Speaker 2: author of evil. Those who hold the libertarian freedom say, no,
[22:13] Speaker 2: God is not the author of evil. Perish the thought.
[22:15] Speaker 2: God creates the potential for evil because he grants us
[22:19] Speaker 2: a freedom of choice. But we, as human beings, actualize
[22:24] Speaker 2: that evil through our choices.
[22:26] Speaker 7: Okay, so the choice of accepting Jesus Christ as our
[22:29] Speaker 7: states we do that solely on our own choice.
[22:34] Speaker 3: Right.
[22:34] Speaker 2: Well, remember that we have been created by God in
[22:38] Speaker 2: such a way that we can respond to his love
[22:42] Speaker 2: and his grace. First, we are creating a world in
[22:46] Speaker 2: which we look around and see the sun and immediately
[22:49] Speaker 2: recognize there's a God. The heavens declare the glories of God.
[22:53] Speaker 2: We also have a knowledge of God written upon the
[22:57] Speaker 2: canvas of our consciousness. Therefore, we are as the apostle,
[23:02] Speaker 2: Paul says, without excuse, because we have that knowledge not
[23:07] Speaker 2: only externally, but we have that knowledge internally. If we
[23:11] Speaker 2: respond to the knowledge externally as well as the knowledge internally,
[23:17] Speaker 2: we can have special revelation, which is the revelation of
[23:22] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. So we can respond to the wooing of
[23:27] Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit. We can respond to the knowledge of
[23:30] Speaker 2: God written on the canvas of our consciousness. We can
[23:33] Speaker 2: respond to the sun, moon and stars as they declare
[23:39] Speaker 2: the glorious truth that God spoke in the universe leapt
[23:42] Speaker 2: into existence.
[23:43] Speaker 7: Okay, great that the answers it for me and I
[23:46] Speaker 7: really appreciate the excitation.
[23:48] Speaker 2: Hey, you got it, Nick, Safe travels. We want to
[23:50] Speaker 2: go back to the phone lines now. Talk to Walter
[23:52] Speaker 2: listening in ogden Utah. Hi Walter?
[23:55] Speaker 3: Hi, how are you doing, Hank good?
[23:57] Speaker 2: How are you?
[23:58] Speaker 3: Thanks sticking my call. I have a kind of a
[24:01] Speaker 3: two part question. One, I'm wondering if you could tell
[24:05] Speaker 3: me where in the Bible Jesus says those who are
[24:10] Speaker 3: against or are not with me are against me. And
[24:13] Speaker 3: then I wonder if you could elaborate on what he meant.
[24:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's found in Matthew chapter twelve, where you have
[24:20] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ dealing with the Pharisees. And the Pharisees are
[24:27] Speaker 2: contending that Jesus Christ is doing his miracles by the
[24:32] Speaker 2: power of Beelzebub, who is the prince of Demons, and
[24:36] Speaker 2: Jesus is responding by saying, every kingdom that is divided
[24:40] Speaker 2: against itself will be ruined. In every city or household
[24:45] Speaker 2: divided against itself will not stand in that context. Then
[24:50] Speaker 2: Jesus says, he who is not with me is against me,
[24:56] Speaker 2: and he who does not gather with me scattered. And
[25:01] Speaker 2: he is now addressing the Pharisees, And in saying what
[25:08] Speaker 2: he has said, he is communicating the fact that there
[25:11] Speaker 2: is no possibility of neutrality. You are either for me
[25:17] Speaker 2: or you are against me. You have to choose. Now.
[25:21] Speaker 2: If you say I'm doing what I'm doing by Beelzebub,
[25:25] Speaker 2: the prince of Demons, you've already made your choice. But
[25:30] Speaker 2: if you recognize that Satan could never do what he's doing,
[25:38] Speaker 2: then you are with me. Make your choice. This is
[25:42] Speaker 2: a stark, a clear and appoignant call for the Pharisees
[25:48] Speaker 2: to drop their contention to follow him or to be
[25:53] Speaker 2: lost for all eternity.
[25:55] Speaker 3: That does it for me, Hey, thank you kindly, You
[25:57] Speaker 3: got it.
[25:58] Speaker 2: Thank you for your call here today. We'll see you
