[0:07] Speaker 1: You're just in time for the Bible answer Man broadcast
[0:10] Speaker 1: with Hank Anagraph, the radio outreach of the Christian Research Institute.
[0:15] Speaker 1: Our purpose here at CRII is to equip Christians to
[0:19] Speaker 1: pursue sound doctrine, to discern truth and error, and to
[0:23] Speaker 1: become faithful disciples of Christ because life and truth matter.
[0:28] Speaker 1: For more information, to order resources or donate, call eight
[0:32] Speaker 1: eight eight seven thousand CROI or go online to equip
[0:37] Speaker 1: dot org. The following program was pre recorded. Now here's
[0:42] Speaker 1: the President of the Christian Research Institute, Hank Canagraph.
[0:46] Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Randy. We'll go to our callers
[0:49] Speaker 2: in just a few moments. One of the issues that
[0:52] Speaker 2: comes up at the Christian Research Institute over and over
[0:55] Speaker 2: again is the distinction between Israel and the Church, or
[0:59] Speaker 2: the question is there really such a distinction, And I
[1:04] Speaker 2: want to address that question head on as we kick
[1:08] Speaker 2: off the broadcast today. At the heart of this currently
[1:13] Speaker 2: popular end time theology is the belief that God has
[1:19] Speaker 2: two distinct people, one of which must be raptured before
[1:24] Speaker 2: God can continue his plan with the other. Rather than
[1:28] Speaker 2: teaching that God has two categories of people, however, I
[1:32] Speaker 2: contend that Scripture reveals only one chosen people who form
[1:39] Speaker 2: one covenant community, beautifully symbolized by a cultivated olive tree.
[1:47] Speaker 2: Far from communicating some kind of a distinction between Israel
[1:50] Speaker 2: and the Church, the Bible, from beginning to end, reveals
[1:55] Speaker 2: that God has only ever had one chosen people, purchased
[2:01] Speaker 2: from every tribe and tongue and nation and people. And
[2:07] Speaker 2: Paul explains this as the mystery of the Gospel, where
[2:14] Speaker 2: Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body,
[2:22] Speaker 2: shares together in the promise in Jesus Christ. In fact,
[2:29] Speaker 2: the precise terminology that is used to describe the children
[2:34] Speaker 2: of Israel and the Old Testament is ascribed to the
[2:37] Speaker 2: Church in the New Testament. Peter calls them a chosen people,
[2:44] Speaker 2: a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. Ultimately,
[2:53] Speaker 2: they are the one chosen people of God, not by
[2:56] Speaker 2: virtue of their geological relationship to Abram, but by virtue
[3:01] Speaker 2: of their genuine relationship to the Living Stone, a living
[3:07] Speaker 2: stone rejected by men, but chosen by God. Just as
[3:13] Speaker 2: the Old and New Testaments reveal only one chosen people,
[3:18] Speaker 2: so too they reveal only one covenant community. And while
[3:24] Speaker 2: that covenant community is physically rooted in the offspring of Abraham,
[3:29] Speaker 2: whose number, by the way, would be like the stars
[3:32] Speaker 2: of heaven and the dust of the earth. It is
[3:36] Speaker 2: spiritually grounded in one singular seed, and Paul makes that explicit.
[3:43] Speaker 2: He says, the promises were spoken to Abraham and to
[3:46] Speaker 2: his seed. The scripture doesn't say to seeds meaning many people,
[3:51] Speaker 2: but to your seed, meaning one person who is Christ.
[3:56] Speaker 2: And then, as Paul goes on to explain, if you
[3:58] Speaker 2: belong to Christ than your Abraham's seed and an error,
[4:02] Speaker 2: according to the promise, the faithful remnant of Old Testament
[4:07] Speaker 2: Israel and New Testament Christianity are together the one genuine
[4:13] Speaker 2: seed of Abraham and thus heirs according to the promise,
[4:18] Speaker 2: and this remnant is chosen not on the basis of
[4:21] Speaker 2: religion or race, but rather on the basis of relationship
[4:28] Speaker 2: to the resurrected Christ, the one chosen people who form
[4:34] Speaker 2: one covenant community beautifully symbolized in the Book of Romans
[4:39] Speaker 2: as one cultivated olive tree. The tree symbolizes Israel, its
[4:45] Speaker 2: branches symbolize those who believe, and its roots symbolizes Jesus Christ.
[4:50] Speaker 2: The root and the offspring of David. Natural branches are
[4:55] Speaker 2: broken off, and they of course represent Jews who reject
[4:58] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. Wild branches grafted in represent Gentiles who receive
[5:05] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. And that's why Paul says, not all who
[5:09] Speaker 2: are descended from Israel are Israel, nor because they are
[5:14] Speaker 2: His descendants, are they all Abraham's children. In other words,
[5:19] Speaker 2: it's not the natural children who are God's children, but
[5:25] Speaker 2: is the children the Promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.
[5:30] Speaker 2: So what do we have. We have Jesus as the
[5:33] Speaker 2: one genuine seat of Abraham, and all clothed in Christ
[5:38] Speaker 2: constitute one congruent, chosen, covenant community, beautifully connected by the Cross.
[5:46] Speaker 2: And the point of all of this is to say
[5:48] Speaker 2: that in Christ, there's no such thing as race. In Christ,
[5:52] Speaker 2: there's no such thing as position. In Christ, there's no
[5:57] Speaker 2: such thing as gender. We are one in Christ. So
[6:04] Speaker 2: we don't look at a Palestinian brother and say you're
[6:07] Speaker 2: less worthy because you're a Palestinian. We don't look at
[6:12] Speaker 2: a Messianic Jew and say you're less worthy because you're Jewish.
[6:18] Speaker 2: Race is of no account. We're just people, and we're
[6:22] Speaker 2: the seed of Abraham. If we are in Jesus Christ.
[6:29] Speaker 2: And of course, as Resolations says, there are those who
[6:31] Speaker 2: say they are Jews, but they are not. They're a
[6:35] Speaker 2: synagogue of Satan. Again, why they don't receive Jesus Christ,
[6:43] Speaker 2: his witness, his testimony, and therefore they're not heirs to
[6:48] Speaker 2: the promise, But again has nothing to do with their nationality,
[6:52] Speaker 2: has everything to do with their spirituality. One of the
[6:58] Speaker 2: phone lines first up today is Cody in Kirksville, Missouri. Hi, Cody, Hi,
[7:03] Speaker 2: how are you you?
[7:06] Speaker 3: Oh?
[7:06] Speaker 4: I'm doing his Andy had a quick question. I me
[7:11] Speaker 4: and a friend I have been discussing every week our
[7:15] Speaker 4: faith with each other. We're fairly young, but we were
[7:20] Speaker 4: discussing the Jewish faith and how they modern jewsday offered
[7:27] Speaker 4: a sacrifice for their sins. We didn't know because we
[7:32] Speaker 4: were ready in there and they had to have a
[7:34] Speaker 4: descendant of Aaron to actually do that. And the argument
[7:38] Speaker 4: Covenant is that correct?
[7:40] Speaker 2: Yeah, But remember that's not relevant at all now. And
[7:46] Speaker 2: the reason for that is Jesus Christ has fulfilled all
[7:49] Speaker 2: the types and shadows. And that's precisely why we don't
[7:53] Speaker 2: need a high priest. It's why we don't need a
[7:56] Speaker 2: genealogical relationship. Jesus Christ is fulfilled all the types and
[8:01] Speaker 2: shadows of the Old Testament, and therefore, if we are
[8:06] Speaker 2: in Jesus Christ, we are heirs according to the promise.
[8:09] Speaker 2: But more than that, we are a royal priesthood, a
[8:13] Speaker 2: holy nation. So no atonement for sin is necessary. That's
[8:17] Speaker 2: why temple priests and sacrifice are no longer needed, right
[8:22] Speaker 2: But I.
[8:23] Speaker 4: Know that is a way in the Christian faith. Is
[8:26] Speaker 4: that still the same in the Jewish faith in modern times?
[8:29] Speaker 2: Though, Well, it depends on who you're talking about. Because
[8:32] Speaker 2: you have Orthodox Judaism or what's known as Torah Judaism,
[8:37] Speaker 2: and it's known for its strict dedication to the eternal
[8:41] Speaker 2: and unalterable, at least from their perspective, Mosaic law as
[8:46] Speaker 2: reinterpreted by rabbis, and that's all subsequent to the fall
[8:50] Speaker 2: of Jerusalem. And only through devotion to this complex code
[8:55] Speaker 2: of Jewish law can you experience nearness to God. Then
[9:00] Speaker 2: you have another branch of Judaism, which is reform Judaism,
[9:05] Speaker 2: and they bring this idea or this presupposition to the
[9:10] Speaker 2: table that human autonomy trumps the authority of the law.
[9:15] Speaker 2: And so here is a movement that arises in the
[9:18] Speaker 2: eighteenth century that seeks to adapt to the modern world
[9:23] Speaker 2: to preserve Jewish identity amidst pressures of assimilation. So this
[9:29] Speaker 2: is a movement that's always changing, it's always going through
[9:33] Speaker 2: a metamorphosis because it's always seeking to adapt. And then
[9:38] Speaker 2: there's conservative Judaism or historical Judaism, and that's a late
[9:43] Speaker 2: nineteenth century reaction to the liberal tendencies that are inherent
[9:48] Speaker 2: and reform Judaism. So there are different views within Judaism.
[9:54] Speaker 2: It's not a monolith. That's multifaceted.
[9:57] Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, that kind of clarifies a little. I was just
[10:00] Speaker 4: we were kind of wondering, how if because from what
[10:05] Speaker 4: our understanding of it is, the main difference is that
[10:08] Speaker 4: they still have to offer us a sacrifice, because the
[10:11] Speaker 4: only difference is they didn't leave that Jesus was the asia.
[10:14] Speaker 4: They thought he would like an overglorified prophet. If that's
[10:18] Speaker 4: how That's how I understood anyway, And I was just
[10:20] Speaker 4: wondering how they offered up their sins and how without those.
[10:24] Speaker 2: I just saying, yeah, well, they can't anymore because there
[10:27] Speaker 2: is no temple, there is no priest, so there's no
[10:30] Speaker 2: way of making a sacrifice, and therefore the metamorphosis that's
[10:35] Speaker 2: taken place even in orthodox Judaism, where it's no longer
[10:39] Speaker 2: Temple Judaism, but it's Torah Judaism, right, Okay.
[10:43] Speaker 4: I appreciate a lot of thanks.
[10:45] Speaker 2: Hey, you got it, and I've read about this in
[10:47] Speaker 2: various places, including the Complete Bible answer Book Collector's Edition,
[10:51] Speaker 2: which is available through the ministry of the Christian Research Institute.
[10:54] Speaker 2: We'll be right back on the other side of the
[10:56] Speaker 2: break with more of your questions right here on the
[10:58] Speaker 2: Bible answer Man, So please don't touch that dial.
[11:03] Speaker 1: The famous British apologist GK. Chesterton once noted, the true
[11:08] Speaker 1: soldier fights not because he hates what is in front
[11:11] Speaker 1: of him, but because he loves what is behind him.
[11:13] Speaker 1: Because at CRII we love what is behind us, our faith,
[11:17] Speaker 1: our families, and our freedoms. We will never retreat quietly
[11:21] Speaker 1: from the growing assaults on life and truth, even when
[11:24] Speaker 1: the costs are great. We will stand to join like

[11:53] Speaker 1: a few moments breaking the Code. If the Book of
[12:04] Speaker 1: Revelation has become an international obsession, the result has been
[12:08] Speaker 1: rampant misreading of scripture, bad theology, and even bad politics
[12:13] Speaker 1: and foreign policy. In the Apocalypse Code, find out what
[12:16] Speaker 1: the Bible really says about the end times and why
[12:19] Speaker 1: it matters today. Hank Canagraph argues that the key to
[12:22] Speaker 1: understanding the Last Book of the Bible is the other
[12:25] Speaker 1: sixty five books of the Bible, not current events or
[12:29] Speaker 1: recent history. The Apocalypse Code offers sane answers to some
[12:33] Speaker 1: very controversial questions, such as what does it mean to
[12:36] Speaker 1: take the Book of Revelation literally? Who are the Antichrist
[12:40] Speaker 1: and the Great Horror of Babylon? And what is the
[12:43] Speaker 1: real meaning of six hundred and sixty six. Order The

[13:01] Speaker 1: paying attention knows there's a war going on not just
[13:05] Speaker 1: on traditional morality, civility, and decency, but even more fundamentally
[13:10] Speaker 1: on historic notions of truth. And the enemy isn't just
[13:13] Speaker 1: the onslaught of fake news, facilitated by a post truth
[13:16] Speaker 1: culture and turbocharged by growing legions of ideological spinductors. Note
[13:21] Speaker 1: the real enemies of truth range from postmodernist convictions that
[13:25] Speaker 1: there is no objective truth to militant scientism that claims
[13:29] Speaker 1: that only science can determine truth and religion is little
[13:33] Speaker 1: more than primitive superstitions. But CRI Support Team members are

[15:07] Speaker 1: Now back to the Bible answer Man broadcast and your
[15:10] Speaker 1: host and canagraph.
[15:12] Speaker 2: And thank you. Ready, we'll go right back to our
[15:14] Speaker 2: phone calls. Let's go to James and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Hi, James,
[15:18] Speaker 2: I thank you so much for taking my call pleasure.
[15:22] Speaker 5: You know, last night I was reading Psalm ninety yes,
[15:25] Speaker 5: and it's a beautiful Psalm. Everything was wonderful and the
[15:30] Speaker 5: first three verses, especially the third verse, doubt turnest men
[15:36] Speaker 5: to destruction and says return you children of men can
[15:41] Speaker 5: you help me understand that.
[15:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, what you have to do is probably pan back
[15:45] Speaker 2: a little bit and recognize what's going on here. You
[15:47] Speaker 2: have a prayer of Moses, the man of God, and
[15:51] Speaker 2: he is depicting humanity's woeful condition before the One True
[15:56] Speaker 2: and Holy and righteous and majestic God. Though we are
[16:00] Speaker 2: guilty before him, he saves us if we trust or
[16:05] Speaker 2: put our faith in reliance holy in Him. So that's
[16:10] Speaker 2: what's going on. God is our dwelling place. He's our
[16:13] Speaker 2: dwelling place throughout all generations, before the mountains were born,
[16:18] Speaker 2: or you brought forth the earth and the world from
[16:22] Speaker 2: ever lasting to everlasting. You are God, which is to
[16:26] Speaker 2: say that God never came into existence. God always was,
[16:31] Speaker 2: and He has power over all humanity. He has power
[16:36] Speaker 2: over all his created handiwork. And for him a thousand
[16:40] Speaker 2: years is like a day gone by, It's like a
[16:43] Speaker 2: watch in the night. So he's unbounded by time, while we,
[16:48] Speaker 2: as mortal men, are bounded by time. We'll return to
[16:52] Speaker 2: the dust. And we are mortal, and we have only
[16:57] Speaker 2: immortality in Jesus Christ, who can take our mortal bodies
[17:03] Speaker 2: and transform them like unto his immortal bodies. So this
[17:07] Speaker 2: is pointing to the everlasting nature of God and the
[17:10] Speaker 2: finite nature of men.
[17:13] Speaker 5: My only question was it's it's it may be confusing,
[17:16] Speaker 5: or maybe it's a version that the third verse begins,
[17:21] Speaker 5: thou turnest men. Of course, it's the work of God
[17:26] Speaker 5: to turn men to destruction. And the confusion.
[17:32] Speaker 2: Now, the idea here, though, is not that it is
[17:35] Speaker 2: from dust. We came to dust, we will return as
[17:39] Speaker 2: one of the things we say when we bury someone. Now,
[17:42] Speaker 2: that doesn't in any way negate the fact that we're
[17:45] Speaker 2: body soul unities. But it does mean that we are mortal,
[17:50] Speaker 2: finite people in light of an immortal, infinite, omniscient, omnipotent God.
[17:59] Speaker 2: So the cun trast here is what is in view.
[18:02] Speaker 2: Want to go back to the phone lines. We'll talk
[18:05] Speaker 2: to Samuel next listening in Nashville, Tennessee. Hi, Samuel, Hey.
[18:09] Speaker 6: Hank, how are you good?
[18:10] Speaker 2: He are you?
[18:11] Speaker 6: I'm doing real well. I listen to your show about
[18:14] Speaker 6: every day. God bless you and your broadcast. You're doing
[18:18] Speaker 6: a great ministry. I just wanted to ask. I do
[18:22] Speaker 6: a lot of study in and I get into conversations
[18:26] Speaker 6: with people in certain instances. Young Earth advocates and one
[18:32] Speaker 6: of my questions that one of the questions that always
[18:34] Speaker 6: comes up is the foul Satan, When, where and how
[18:40] Speaker 6: it took place, and which for the most part in
[18:42] Speaker 6: scriptures shrouded by mystery, although it gives certain instances. I
[18:47] Speaker 6: was just wanting to know your take on when, where,
[18:51] Speaker 6: and how to the best you can answer, that took place, Yeah.
[18:55] Speaker 2: And we don't want to scream where the Bible is silent.
[18:57] Speaker 2: And I think that you've already sort of alluded to that.
[19:00] Speaker 2: We know that Satan fell before the fall of Adam
[19:04] Speaker 2: and Eve because Satan was a participant in the fall
[19:08] Speaker 2: of Adam and Eve. He tempted Adam and Eve, and
[19:11] Speaker 2: as a result of that, Adam and Eve fell. So
[19:15] Speaker 2: we know that he had already fallen, that he had
[19:18] Speaker 2: become the tempter, that he was in rebellion to God.
[19:21] Speaker 2: But when that happened precisely, we don't know. We know
[19:25] Speaker 2: that it happened prior to the fall of Adam and Eve.
[19:30] Speaker 2: That's the best we can say because we don't have
[19:32] Speaker 2: further information.
[19:34] Speaker 6: The main thing I was trying to get at is
[19:37] Speaker 6: a lot of people, like I don't want to start
[19:39] Speaker 6: throwing tags on people, but there are some Jehovah witnesses
[19:43] Speaker 6: that believe that Satan fell the moment he tempted Adam
[19:47] Speaker 6: and Eve, which I don't believe that at all. And
[19:50] Speaker 6: then there are some people that say he fell sometime
[19:52] Speaker 6: between the time Adam and Eve were created and the
[19:55] Speaker 6: time he tempted them. I don't believe that either. I
[19:57] Speaker 6: actually believe that he fell before they were created. I
[20:02] Speaker 6: just wanted to know if you believe that to be
[20:05] Speaker 6: closer to accurate or no.
[20:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a good theological deduction based on
[20:09] Speaker 2: the corpus of biblical information. But again I would go
[20:13] Speaker 2: back to what I said at the very beginning. We
[20:15] Speaker 2: don't want to stream where the Bible is largely silent.
[20:18] Speaker 2: So we can put the time parameter. He had certain quadrants,
[20:22] Speaker 2: but we can't say with absolute certainty. We'll go back
[20:25] Speaker 2: to the phone lines. Talk to Gary, listening to Bizmarck,
[20:27] Speaker 2: North Dakota High, Gary Ato.
[20:29] Speaker 3: For years, I read Marv Rosenthal pre rap Rapture and
[20:33] Speaker 3: in Van Campen's book, and I just figured I had
[20:36] Speaker 3: it all together about what the rapture was all about,
[20:38] Speaker 3: and then you threw a wrench in that whole thing,
[20:41] Speaker 3: which I'm glad you did, and I thank you and
[20:44] Speaker 3: Gary Damar and Kenneth Gentry forgetting me on the right path.
[20:48] Speaker 3: My question is that maybe I misheard this. I thought
[20:51] Speaker 3: on a radio program recently you said that partial preadurism
[20:55] Speaker 3: was not biblicalt But what are partial preadtists? Can you
[20:58] Speaker 3: tell me what partial?
[21:01] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[21:01] Speaker 2: Well, I'm not a partial preaterist, although I very much
[21:04] Speaker 2: appreciate the partial prayers that you've mentioned. Partial preterism believes
[21:09] Speaker 2: that everything is past save the fact that Jesus Christ
[21:14] Speaker 2: is going to ultimately do away with the problem of
[21:18] Speaker 2: Satan and sin, that he is going to return a
[21:23] Speaker 2: second time. In what he does, he's going to put
[21:26] Speaker 2: all things to write that that are going to rise.
[21:29] Speaker 2: They're going to be changed in a moment, in a
[21:30] Speaker 2: twinkling an eye. So they're going to be resurrected, mortal, imperishable,
[21:33] Speaker 2: and corruptible. And the universe that is now growning in
[21:37] Speaker 2: travail will be liberated from its bondage to decay. So
[21:40] Speaker 2: that is what we look forward to. But the one
[21:43] Speaker 2: difference that I've had over the years with partial preterists
[21:46] Speaker 2: is that I think that they sometimes make the same
[21:49] Speaker 2: mistake that futurists do, only instead of having a newspaper
[21:52] Speaker 2: in their hands, they have a history book in their hands,
[21:55] Speaker 2: and they create that this is that fallacy, and they're
[21:58] Speaker 2: reading anne intended meaning or a more literal meaning into
[22:02] Speaker 2: some of the words than I would subscribe to, which
[22:06] Speaker 2: is to say that I think that there are a
[22:08] Speaker 2: lot of instances where there's plain old judgment language being used,
[22:12] Speaker 2: and that judgment language is being correlated to historical events
[22:17] Speaker 2: in a way that I wouldn't be comfortable with. But
[22:19] Speaker 2: again these are minor details. Yes, he is and very
[22:25] Speaker 2: able and qualified and highly respected by myself and many
[22:30] Speaker 2: other people in this area. In fact, I quote him
[22:33] Speaker 2: quite prolifically in my book The Apocalypse Code. Let's go
[22:35] Speaker 2: back to the phone lines. We'll talk next to Jason
[22:39] Speaker 2: listening in Akron, Ohio.
[22:41] Speaker 7: Hi, Jason, Hi, I just want to tell you I
[22:44] Speaker 7: really appreciate your ministry and God bless you for the
[22:48] Speaker 7: truth than you. I've just been recently going through some
[22:51] Speaker 7: scriptures on hell and the End time. I had been
[22:56] Speaker 7: reading a book by Francis Chan I think in response
[22:59] Speaker 7: to Rob the Hell and He's a little bit soft
[23:01] Speaker 7: on some issues, but some of the main issues. I
[23:03] Speaker 7: thank you pretty fairm On one that I'm kind of
[23:06] Speaker 7: struggling with myself. I wanted to get clarity on was
[23:10] Speaker 7: the literal fire in Hell. I've kind of I kind
[23:14] Speaker 7: of see where there's metaphors. I can see how you
[23:17] Speaker 7: can go either way with when Jesus talks about being
[23:22] Speaker 7: surrendered to the flames and things like that and being
[23:25] Speaker 7: cast in the flames of Hell. But I wondered about
[23:28] Speaker 7: the verses where they actually call it the lake of fire,
[23:30] Speaker 7: the final Hell, the lake of fire.
[23:32] Speaker 2: Well, it's also called the lake of burning sulfur. By
[23:35] Speaker 2: the way, I love Fransis Chin. He's the absolute real deal.
[23:37] Speaker 2: But as far as Hell is concerned, Hell is called
[23:41] Speaker 2: the lake of burning sulfur. It's called blacks darkness forever.
[23:44] Speaker 2: So metaphors are used to describe the ghastly reality of
[23:50] Speaker 2: being separated forever from the love and grace and goodness
[23:55] Speaker 2: of God, forever and ever and ever, never ending. So
[24:00] Speaker 2: the metaphors describe what it means to be separated from
[24:06] Speaker 2: the lover of your soul, the creator of humanity for
[24:10] Speaker 2: all eternity. Because, as C. S. Lewis put it, instead
[24:15] Speaker 2: of saying to God, thy will be done. God says
[24:17] Speaker 2: to you, thy will be done. If you don't want
[24:20] Speaker 2: a relationship with me, I will ratify that decision for
[24:24] Speaker 2: all eternity.
[24:26] Speaker 7: Okay, So like as far as the Greek and Hebrew goes,
[24:30] Speaker 7: I mean those words are also used as metaphors throughout,
[24:33] Speaker 7: so you could kind of go either way whether you
[24:36] Speaker 7: think they're literal or not.
[24:37] Speaker 2: Well, they're definitely not literal. I mean, you can't have
[24:40] Speaker 2: black as darkness forever in a lake of burning sulfur.
[24:44] Speaker 2: They're not literal, but they are metaphors with sharp teeth
[24:49] Speaker 2: pointing out's.
[24:50] Speaker 7: Going to be a spiritual darkness.
[24:53] Speaker 2: Well, it's a metaphor. It's a metaphor with sharp teeth.
[24:58] Speaker 2: When you use a metaphor, the metaphor or points to
[25:00] Speaker 2: a reality. In this case, the reality is far more
[25:05] Speaker 2: horrific than the metaphor is able to communicate. And that's
[25:09] Speaker 2: why you have various metaphors in scripture that collectively point
[25:15] Speaker 2: to the hell if you will, of being separated from
[25:18] Speaker 2: God for all eternity. So it is not a metaphorical separation,
[25:23] Speaker 2: it is a real separation. Because remember Jesus Christ said this,
[25:27] Speaker 2: do not be amazed. The time is coming, when all
[25:29] Speaker 2: who are the grace will come out. Some will rise
[25:32] Speaker 2: to live, and some will rise to be condemned. So
[25:35] Speaker 2: the whole set of those who have inhabited this planet
[25:39] Speaker 2: as people will be resurrected, some separated from God's grace,
[25:45] Speaker 2: some united with God for all eternity. So God does
[25:50] Speaker 2: not arbitrarily rub out the crowning jewels of his creation
[25:53] Speaker 2: because they chose to live apart from them. He continues
[25:57] Speaker 2: to sustain them in existence, though they have chosen to
[26:00] Speaker 2: live apart from His goodness and his grace. Fortunately, have
[26:04] Speaker 2: to end the broadcast on that note, So long for now,

[27:03] Speaker 1: the Code. If the Book of Revelation has become an
[27:06] Speaker 1: international obsession, the result has been rampant misreading of scripture,
[27:10] Speaker 1: bad theology, and even bad politics and foreign policy. In

[27:35] Speaker 1: as what does it mean to take the Book of
