On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank brings up that as the summer months come along, people tend to read when they normally would not. He goes over some of the many benefits of reading in general, as well as the importance of reading Scripture. Hank also mentions that June is an important month, as it is the end of the fiscal year for our ministry at the Christian Research Institute, and encourages listeners to support the ministry so that we may continue to touch lives for time and for eternity. Hank also answers the following questions: Deuteronomy 24:1-4 talks about divorce and remarriage, calling illegitimate remarriages an abomination. Is this true for today? Judy - Oklahoma City, OK (4:23) Matthew 8:28 mentions two demon-possessed men, but the other Gospels say there was one; how do we resolve this? Jeremy - Stillwater, OK (15:39) If God is in control, why is the world so chaotic? Steven - Fort Worth, TX (19:01) Is homosexuality similar to alcoholism? Can one say, “I’m a recovering homosexual”? Michelle - Fayetteville, AR (21:09) How can I address an atheist who says there’s not enough evidence for God’s existence? Al - Washington, DC (23:49)

[0:07] Speaker 1: Welcome to the best of the Bible answer Man broadcast
[0:10] Speaker 1: with your host, Hank Anagraph. The Bible answer Man is
[0:14] Speaker 1: the radio ministry of the Christian Research Institute, designed to
[0:18] Speaker 1: equip believers to defend their faith and become true disciples
[0:22] Speaker 1: of the Lord Jesus Christ, because life and truth matter.
[0:27] Speaker 1: Our phone number is eight eight eight seven thousand CRII.
[0:31] Speaker 1: That's one eight eight eight seven thousand, two seven four.
[0:35] Speaker 1: You can find us on the internet at equip dot org.
[0:38] Speaker 1: That's equip dot org. The following program was pre recorded
[0:44] Speaker 1: and now to begin today's broadcast, here's Hank Canagraph.
[0:48] Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Randy. Our contact information on the
[0:51] Speaker 2: web equipped dot org and via the mail AT's box
[0:54] Speaker 2: eighty five hundred Charlotte, North Carolina, zip code two eight two.
[1:01] Speaker 2: This month we're moving into the category of reading. During
[1:05] Speaker 2: the summer, a lot of people do what they don't
[1:08] Speaker 2: normally do, and that is read, and we have some
[1:11] Speaker 2: good resources available for those who support the ministry. This
[1:14] Speaker 2: month the Last Disciples series. It's a trilogy. It's historical fiction.
[1:21] Speaker 2: What it does, though, is it gives you a handle
[1:24] Speaker 2: on the logical truth propositions that are part and parcel
[1:29] Speaker 2: of a healthy worldview on eschatology. I think you'll find
[1:34] Speaker 2: the books incredibly insightful, stimulating their page turners. Again available
[1:42] Speaker 2: for those who support the ministry, check it out on
[1:44] Speaker 2: the web at equip dot org. Should also mention that
[1:49] Speaker 2: June is a very significant month in our history. Each
[1:55] Speaker 2: and every year, December is the most critical month, and
[2:00] Speaker 2: lagging not far behind is June. This is the end
[2:04] Speaker 2: of our fiscal year, not obviously the calendar year, but
[2:08] Speaker 2: the fiscal year, and so if you can support the ministry,
[2:11] Speaker 2: it would be deeply appreciated, used for God's glory and
[2:16] Speaker 2: for the extension of his kingdom. Getting back to reading,
[2:20] Speaker 2: the numbers of people not reading is simply staggering, and
[2:25] Speaker 2: I hope that you will become the exception to the rule.
[2:29] Speaker 2: A full quarter of the population did not so much
[2:33] Speaker 2: as read a single book in the past year. But
[2:37] Speaker 2: the good news is that, as with technology, all of
[2:40] Speaker 2: us can get hooked on reading all over again. There
[2:44] Speaker 2: are so many benefits to reading it's hard to know
[2:47] Speaker 2: where to begin. Reading improves discipline, vocabulary, it improves memory, creativity,
[2:55] Speaker 2: and even relaxation. Plus it can even stave off diseases
[3:01] Speaker 2: such as Alzheimer's. More importantly, reading engages you with another mind,
[3:07] Speaker 2: and when it comes to reading scripture, the implications are
[3:11] Speaker 2: simply staggering. By its words, we are brought into direct
[3:18] Speaker 2: communication with the mind of God, and not only so,
[3:24] Speaker 2: we have access to the minds of writers directly inspired
[3:29] Speaker 2: by the Divine. Thus, in the pages of the inspired
[3:33] Speaker 2: text we have mind to mind connection with minds that
[3:38] Speaker 2: were awash in uncreated energy. Well as much more I
[3:42] Speaker 2: could say about reading, and maybe I will, But we
[3:46] Speaker 2: have a number of books, as I just mentioned available
[3:49] Speaker 2: The Last Disciple trilogy has God spoken Muslim. These books
[3:54] Speaker 2: available as my other books available for those who support
[3:58] Speaker 2: the ministry. All this the critical month of June. It
[4:02] Speaker 2: is so important that we achieve a financial stability as
[4:09] Speaker 2: a result of the month of June. Each year you've
[4:11] Speaker 2: given a safe, secure fashion on the web equipped dot
[4:14] Speaker 2: org or as I mentioned, via the mailbox eighty five
[4:17] Speaker 2: hundred Charlotte, North Carolina, zip code two eight two seven
[4:21] Speaker 2: to one. Let's go to the phone lines. Judy listening
[4:24] Speaker 2: in Oklahoma.
[4:26] Speaker 3: Hi, Judy, Hi, thank you for taking my call. It
[4:30] Speaker 3: was told to me to call the babl answer man
[4:32] Speaker 3: to get the solution to our discussion here. In Duterominy
[4:36] Speaker 3: twenty four, it talks about a couple being married, the
[4:40] Speaker 3: husband divorces the wife, he remarries another, and it says like,
[4:45] Speaker 3: if she dies or they divorce, he's not allowed to
[4:48] Speaker 3: go back and marry the original spouse because that was
[4:52] Speaker 3: an abomination to God. So is that true for today?
[4:58] Speaker 3: Is that just are we under grace that God redeems
[5:02] Speaker 3: and forgives or for the abomination is a huge word.
[5:06] Speaker 2: So well, there's a historical context, and you're right in
[5:10] Speaker 2: pointing that out. Divorce was wide spread in the ancient
[5:14] Speaker 2: Near East, and therefore the commands given in Deuteronomy were
[5:19] Speaker 2: given in order to regulate an existing practice. And in
[5:24] Speaker 2: the context, remarried to her former husband would be tenemount
[5:29] Speaker 2: to legal adultery, and therefore it was detestable to the Lord.
[5:36] Speaker 2: But if you look at what Jesus Christ says in
[5:40] Speaker 2: the Sermon on the Mount, it has said anyone who
[5:44] Speaker 2: divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.
[5:47] Speaker 2: But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife
[5:50] Speaker 2: except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress.
[5:57] Speaker 2: And anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery, gives
[6:03] Speaker 2: you the intent of what the law was. And furthermore,
[6:09] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ makes clear that what's going on is a
[6:13] Speaker 2: detestable practice for the reason that men would put away
[6:19] Speaker 2: women for any or every reason. In other words, they
[6:24] Speaker 2: use the lever right law. They used the laws given
[6:29] Speaker 2: within the context of an ancient theocratic kingdom as the
[6:33] Speaker 2: basis to do what they wanted to do. So it
[6:37] Speaker 2: was tantamount to tithing your mint, but neglecting the way
[6:40] Speaker 2: to your matters of the law, justice, righteousness, and equity.
[6:43] Speaker 2: And that's what really is at the heart of this.
[6:46] Speaker 2: We are not to see the other sex as an
[6:50] Speaker 2: object for our own enjoyment or use some kind of
[6:56] Speaker 2: legalistic prescription to do what we want, but we are
[7:00] Speaker 2: to treat another person self lesslie as opposed to selfishly.
[7:06] Speaker 2: So there's an intent behind the law. The law originally
[7:11] Speaker 2: to protect a woman in the Old Testament, but ultimately
[7:15] Speaker 2: to subscribe to that which the Bible ultimately appeals to,
[7:19] Speaker 2: and that is complete ontological equality and not the abuse
[7:24] Speaker 2: of another person.
[7:26] Speaker 3: Okay, So is that just are we under grace now
[7:31] Speaker 3: that that can happen? Or you know, like if they repented,
[7:35] Speaker 3: got right with the Lord, wanted to get the original
[7:40] Speaker 3: family intact, are they allowed to do that or not?
[7:43] Speaker 2: Well, if in fact there is a door to reconciliation
[7:48] Speaker 2: that is open, yes, we must always walk through the
[7:51] Speaker 2: door of reconciliation because that is the ultimate goal. The
[7:56] Speaker 2: ultimate goal is reconciliation. Reconciliation and always requires two parties.
[8:02] Speaker 2: There's someone who is willing to forgive and someone wanting
[8:06] Speaker 2: to be forgiven, and so that is the ultimate good
[8:10] Speaker 2: that we should always strive towards. And there are some
[8:13] Speaker 2: cases in which that door to reconciliation simply isn't open,
[8:17] Speaker 2: and that is because someone has married someone else and
[8:20] Speaker 2: then unscrambling the egg leads to a multiplicity of problems.
[8:26] Speaker 3: Right, So I can see that. And I didn't know
[8:29] Speaker 3: if it was like in the Old Testament that they
[8:30] Speaker 3: didn't want wife swapping, you know, back and forth to this.
[8:35] Speaker 3: But I thought, well, if if a wife was never
[8:37] Speaker 3: married again and the other marriage ended, I just didn't
[8:42] Speaker 3: know if that would be an abomination to God in
[8:44] Speaker 3: this day and age to consider that.
[8:47] Speaker 2: So the question becomes, you get divorced, and the question
[8:53] Speaker 2: is is an abomination to get remarried to.
[8:57] Speaker 3: The original one. If that the marriage that he was
[9:01] Speaker 3: in doesn't work out.
[9:04] Speaker 2: Well, again, there's a whole lot of conjecture there. I mean,
[9:08] Speaker 2: there's a lot of explaining to do. Why did the
[9:10] Speaker 2: marriage not work out? Ultimately, the intent here is love
[9:16] Speaker 2: and reconciliation as opposed to using every reason possible to
[9:24] Speaker 2: do something that becomes selfish instead of self less. I mean,
[9:29] Speaker 2: that's the intent. So the intent is the protection of
[9:32] Speaker 2: a person. But you can't look at a situation where
[9:35] Speaker 2: a man is married to a woman, then the man
[9:37] Speaker 2: gets out of that marriage and marries the original person
[9:40] Speaker 2: that they were married to. That's the metaphor I was
[9:43] Speaker 2: using with respect to unscrambling the egg, which can't do.
[9:47] Speaker 2: So if someone gets a divorce, that's one mistake. They
[9:53] Speaker 2: get remarried. Now they're going to compound the error by
[9:57] Speaker 2: getting divorced again and marrying the original person. No, you
[10:02] Speaker 2: have to move on and be faithful to the commitment
[10:05] Speaker 2: that you have at that point.
[10:08] Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I found, like you know, said in the Bible,
[10:11] Speaker 3: if that spouse dies, if there's.
[10:13] Speaker 2: Anod well, if that spouse dies. I mean that's why
[10:15] Speaker 2: I said there's a lot explaining to do. There are
[10:17] Speaker 2: a lot of converging factors that are possible. Certainly, if
[10:20] Speaker 2: that spouse dies, it would not be an abomination if
[10:25] Speaker 2: the Lord led you to get remarried to the original person,
[10:29] Speaker 2: you know, in other words, if there's no obstacle in
[10:32] Speaker 2: the way morally or ethically in doing that. I don't
[10:36] Speaker 2: see anything that would preclude that. But I do think
[10:39] Speaker 2: that that has to be done in concert with prayerful
[10:43] Speaker 2: consideration before the Lord and good counseling within the context
[10:47] Speaker 2: of a healthy, well bounced church.
[10:49] Speaker 3: Right, all right, well, thank you, I appreciate it.
[10:51] Speaker 2: You got it. Thank you so much for your call
[10:55] Speaker 2: coming to the station. Break will be right back.
[10:57] Speaker 1: In our post truth age of confused usion, the need
[11:00] Speaker 1: for Christians to be equipped with answers has never been greater.
[11:04] Speaker 1: The Christian Research Institute exists to provide those answers, and
[11:08] Speaker 1: this provision is made possible only by people like you,
[11:12] Speaker 1: people unafraid to stand up for truth while it's under assault.
[11:16] Speaker 1: People like you, whose contributions to our many outreaches are
[11:20] Speaker 1: making a difference for time and eternity. Stand with Hank
[11:24] Speaker 1: Hanagraph and the Christian Research Institute during the key month
[11:28] Speaker 1: of June to ensure that we end the financial year
[11:31] Speaker 1: in a position of strength. To make a gift to
[11:33] Speaker 1: support CRI's life changing outreaches, simply call eight eight eight
[11:38] Speaker 1: seven thousand croi. That's eight eight eight seven thousand croi
[11:44] Speaker 1: or visit us at equip dot org. Thank you, don't
[11:49] Speaker 1: go anywhere. We're coming right back with more answers from
[11:52] Speaker 1: the Bible answer Man. The Soviet Red Army won the
[12:02] Speaker 1: Battle of Stalingrad. It appeared at first the Nazi war
[12:06] Speaker 1: machine would secure the victory, but the Soviets battled back
[12:09] Speaker 1: from near certain defeat with extraordinary courage and resoluteness to
[12:14] Speaker 1: turn the tide of the battle and ultimately the war.
[12:17] Speaker 1: The lesson is that both men and material people and
[12:21] Speaker 1: provisions played a critical role. Willingness to fight and munitions
[12:25] Speaker 1: in the Arsenal were pivotal. Our contemporary battle for truth
[12:29] Speaker 1: against anti Christian secularists raises the stakes above the significance
[12:34] Speaker 1: of Stalingrad. CRI likewise needs military partners willing to stand
[12:40] Speaker 1: for truth, along with the financial means to accomplish the mission.
[12:44] Speaker 1: Stand with us during the key month of June to
[12:47] Speaker 1: end the fiscal year. In a position of strength, call

[13:05] Speaker 1: Has God Spoken? Are the words of Scripture merely human
[13:09] Speaker 1: in origin? Or are they, in fact the very words
[13:12] Speaker 1: of God himself? Three years in the making and based
[13:17] Speaker 1: on two decades of research and reflection, Hank Henagraph's monumental
[13:21] Speaker 1: book Has God Spoken answers what is surely the most
[13:25] Speaker 1: important question facing our world. In Has God Spoken? Memorable
[13:30] Speaker 1: Proofs of the Bible's Divine inspiration, Hank counters the contentions
[13:34] Speaker 1: of the Bible attackers and clearly shows that belief in
[13:37] Speaker 1: the Holy Scriptures is not a guess or wishful thinking.
[13:40] Speaker 1: It is the only logical conclusion after an honest examination
[13:44] Speaker 1: of overwhelming evidence. Ordered Has God Spoken? From the Christian

[15:35] Speaker 1: again here is Hank Hanagraph.
[15:38] Speaker 2: Thank you, Grandy. We'll go right back to our callers.
[15:40] Speaker 2: Next up, Jeremy listening in Steelwater, Oklahoma. Hi Jeremy, Hi Hank.
[15:45] Speaker 4: How are you today?
[15:46] Speaker 2: I'm hanging in there. How are you doing?
[15:48] Speaker 5: Oh wonderful? Thank you. Just got a fork a little
[15:51] Speaker 5: bit of good so it's a good day.
[15:54] Speaker 4: I've got a question, and I've asked people this in
[15:56] Speaker 4: the past, and the answer that I get is that bentually,
[16:01] Speaker 4: it's from more than one's point of view. So I'm
[16:03] Speaker 4: hoping you don't give me that kind of answer. But
[16:06] Speaker 4: my question is in the Book of Matthew, I guess
[16:10] Speaker 4: docter a jolly one that says two men. But for instance,
[16:16] Speaker 4: in Luke, whenever Jesus cast out the demon named Legion,
[16:21] Speaker 4: h how come in in all the other books there's
[16:24] Speaker 4: only one man at the tunes. But in the Book
[16:27] Speaker 4: of Matthew there's two men.
[16:30] Speaker 2: Sure, And that's a good question. And I think you're
[16:33] Speaker 2: referring to the two demon possessed men, right, and they're
[16:37] Speaker 2: healing in Matthew chapter eight. Yeah, So yeah, Matthew says
[16:40] Speaker 2: there are two. Well, Mark and Luke say one. And
[16:44] Speaker 2: critics have for some odd reasons suggested this to be
[16:47] Speaker 2: a contradiction. But obviously, wherever you have two people, there
[16:54] Speaker 2: is always, always, always, one hundred percent of the time
[16:59] Speaker 2: one person. So if Mark or Luke said there was
[17:03] Speaker 2: only one person present, there'd be a contradiction. But the
[17:08] Speaker 2: text does not say that. So what you have is
[17:11] Speaker 2: Matthew focusing on two demon possessed men that were healed,
[17:18] Speaker 2: and then you have Mark and Luke, for their own reasons,
[17:22] Speaker 2: focusing on one. And this is what you have with
[17:26] Speaker 2: the synoptics in general. If the Synoptics gave all the
[17:30] Speaker 2: details of every story in exactly the same way, the
[17:34] Speaker 2: first thing we would say, especially if this was presented
[17:37] Speaker 2: in a legal sense, we would say, there's collusion here.
[17:42] Speaker 2: So they all present the story from their own perspective,
[17:46] Speaker 2: with their own purpose, as they're led by the Holy Spirit.
[17:50] Speaker 2: There's no reason whatsoever for each gospel to communicate events
[17:55] Speaker 2: exactly in the same way. Now, if there was a contradiction,
[17:58] Speaker 2: that would be a problem. This is obviously not a
[18:01] Speaker 2: contradiction unless you have, as I just mentioned, Luke and
[18:06] Speaker 2: Mark saying that there's only one demoniac and therefore Matthew
[18:11] Speaker 2: was mistaken when he was talking about the healing of
[18:13] Speaker 2: two demoniacs. Obviously, this is not what's going on.
[18:17] Speaker 4: So we're looking at the word femian. It's just Mark
[18:22] Speaker 4: and Luke just chose us talk about the second person.
[18:25] Speaker 2: That's exactly right. And again that's why you have the
[18:28] Speaker 2: Synoptic Gospels, because reading them in unison, as it were,
[18:34] Speaker 2: you have the rest of the story, or you have
[18:36] Speaker 2: the complete story. If you would have the story told
[18:41] Speaker 2: in exactly the same way by one witness Matthew, and
[18:46] Speaker 2: another witness Mark and yet another Luke. Again, in a
[18:50] Speaker 2: legal situation, you would immediately suspect collusion. That's the one
[18:54] Speaker 2: thing you don't find in the Gospels. You find harmony,
[18:57] Speaker 2: but not collusion. Hopefull that helps. Let's go back to
[19:01] Speaker 2: the phone lines. Stephen fort Worth, Texas.
[19:04] Speaker 5: Hi, Stephen, Hi, Hank, appreciate what you do, Hank. The
[19:09] Speaker 5: other day I was listening to the radio and this
[19:12] Speaker 5: well known preacher was talking about our God and he
[19:16] Speaker 5: said that in part of the contact, he said, God
[19:19] Speaker 5: is in control. But God is in control. Well, if
[19:23] Speaker 5: God is in control, this world is chaotic. And I
[19:28] Speaker 5: don't think our God is a is a god of chaos.
[19:32] Speaker 5: I know there have been times in my life as
[19:34] Speaker 5: a Christian that he hadn't been in control, because I haven't, lady.
[19:39] Speaker 5: And also in Genesis, does it not say that He
[19:43] Speaker 5: gave created man and woman and gave them demion. I
[19:48] Speaker 5: guess that's kind of a control of the animals and
[19:51] Speaker 5: over all the world. Kind of your comment on that,
[19:56] Speaker 5: I know ultimately he is in control.
[19:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's an antinomy. There's a tension here,
[20:02] Speaker 2: isn't there? Because on the one hand, we know for
[20:04] Speaker 2: certain that God is in sovereign control of every detail
[20:11] Speaker 2: of our lives, that not a hair falls from our
[20:14] Speaker 2: head that our heavenly Father does not know or care
[20:17] Speaker 2: about it. On the other hand, what we do really matters.
[20:23] Speaker 2: So we can't just live in some kind of a
[20:25] Speaker 2: magical world and say, you know, my hands are dirty,
[20:28] Speaker 2: but if God wants them to be clean, then he'll
[20:30] Speaker 2: make them clean magically. Now you go and wash your hands.
[20:33] Speaker 2: God works through means. So I think there is a
[20:36] Speaker 2: tension here on the one hand. But look, the world
[20:39] Speaker 2: is in a mess, not because God created the mess,
[20:43] Speaker 2: but God created the potential for a mess. Why did
[20:46] Speaker 2: he create the potential for a mess? Well, he gave
[20:48] Speaker 2: us freedom of choice. If we did not have that choice,
[20:53] Speaker 2: then there would be no genuine love. Our lives would
[20:56] Speaker 2: be fatalistically determined in the sense that the atheist believes
[21:00] Speaker 2: that everything is determined by brain, chemistry and genetics.
[21:04] Speaker 5: Sure, thank you, appreciate it.
[21:07] Speaker 2: Thank you, you got it. Back to the phone lines.
[21:10] Speaker 2: Talk to Michelle. She's listening in Fadville, Arkansas. Hi.
[21:15] Speaker 3: Hi.
[21:15] Speaker 6: First of all, I want to thank you for your ministry.
[21:17] Speaker 6: I am a monthly supporter and I just appreciate all
[21:20] Speaker 6: that you do.
[21:21] Speaker 2: Bless you, Thank you.
[21:22] Speaker 6: I was listening to the broadcast when you had Joe
[21:26] Speaker 6: dallas on regarding his article is gay Christian an acceptable identity?
[21:31] Speaker 6: He used the comparison which I have long used to alcoholism.
[21:37] Speaker 6: As far as you know, ultimately, regardless of your desires
[21:41] Speaker 6: or your tendencies, you choose whether to act on them
[21:45] Speaker 6: or not. My question is regarding the labels that you
[21:49] Speaker 6: put on yourselves. And because I was thinking about as
[21:53] Speaker 6: far as drunkenness and alcoholism. When people go to AA meetings,
[21:58] Speaker 6: even if they've recovered from it, they still say, Hi,
[22:00] Speaker 6: my name is SO and so I'm an alcoholic, So
[22:03] Speaker 6: they are putting that label on themselves based off of
[22:06] Speaker 6: actions that they had. Is that a fair comparison to homosexuals?
[22:12] Speaker 6: Maybe saying I'm a recovered homosexual or do you understand
[22:18] Speaker 6: what I'm sure?
[22:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, And Joe actually addresses that in one of the articles.
[22:22] Speaker 2: But you know, context is very, very important, because if
[22:25] Speaker 2: you're in an AA meeting, introducing yourself as Hi, I'm Joe,
[22:29] Speaker 2: I'm an alcoholic is perfectly acceptable. But you wouldn't do
[22:33] Speaker 2: that in a church situation when you're introducing yourself because
[22:36] Speaker 2: we all recognize intuitively and rightly that every one of
[22:42] Speaker 2: us has a besetting sin and in many sins, so
[22:44] Speaker 2: we don't enumerate those sins. We just assume that the
[22:47] Speaker 2: other people know that we're sinners and that the church
[22:50] Speaker 2: is a hospital for sinners who have come to faith
[22:53] Speaker 2: in Christ. The other thing I think that's important to
[22:55] Speaker 2: recognize is that homosexuality is a behavior, not an identity,
[23:01] Speaker 2: and you have to always keep that straight. And I
[23:03] Speaker 2: think Joe therefore says in the article, and again I
[23:07] Speaker 2: agree with what Joe says on the subject. I don't
[23:09] Speaker 2: know if anybody that knows the subject better. He says
[23:13] Speaker 2: that homosexual is a word best used as an adjective,
[23:17] Speaker 2: as in I experience homosexual temptations, rather than using it
[23:22] Speaker 2: as a noun, I am a homosexual Because the result
[23:26] Speaker 2: of the latter usage is labeling, and with labeling comes limitation.
[23:31] Speaker 2: The former offers a broader, more biblical self view. Okay,
[23:36] Speaker 2: and again Joe talks about this in length in the
[23:39] Speaker 2: article is gay Christian unacceptable identity?
[23:43] Speaker 6: Okay, Well, I appreciate your answer. Thank you very much
[23:47] Speaker 6: for taking my call.
[23:48] Speaker 2: You got it. My pleasure Back to the phone lines,
[23:50] Speaker 2: Al Washington, d C.
[23:52] Speaker 7: Hi, L how you doing, hank A pleasure to speak
[23:55] Speaker 7: to you. I've been having some conversation that's an atheist
[24:00] Speaker 7: on a social media website, and the answer that they
[24:04] Speaker 7: always give me for you know's not a God is
[24:07] Speaker 7: that we don't believe.
[24:08] Speaker 5: God due to lack of evidence. And I don't really know.
[24:12] Speaker 3: How to.
[24:15] Speaker 7: Come back on that, because I mean, it's obviously gods.
[24:19] Speaker 7: You can't touch it. And I think that's kind of
[24:21] Speaker 7: what it's saying is we can't touch them, we've never
[24:23] Speaker 7: seen them.
[24:24] Speaker 5: I'm just trying to get some better answers through how
[24:26] Speaker 5: I can address that statement.
[24:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, quite frankly, as the irrational to say that God
[24:30] Speaker 2: doesn't exist because you can't touch or feel him. There
[24:32] Speaker 2: are a lot of things you can't touch and feel
[24:34] Speaker 2: that you know exists, including gravity and black holes and
[24:38] Speaker 2: many other things that we could talk about. But the
[24:41] Speaker 2: reality is is that there's plenty of evidence for God.
[24:45] Speaker 2: If you were stumbling around on a desert island and
[24:50] Speaker 2: you happen to bump into a basketball, you would immediately think, Ah,
[24:55] Speaker 2: someone made that basketball. There is a basketball maker. Maybe
[25:00] Speaker 2: he inhabits this island. I don't know, but the idea
[25:04] Speaker 2: that there would be a basketball mate would be foremost
[25:06] Speaker 2: in your mind. And when you look at the universe,
[25:09] Speaker 2: the universe is absolutely clear. The heavens declared the glory
[25:13] Speaker 2: of God, the skies proclaimed the work of his hands, or,
[25:16] Speaker 2: in the words of the apostle Paul, God's invisible qualities,
[25:20] Speaker 2: his eternal power, and divine nature have been clearly seen,
[25:24] Speaker 2: being understood from what has been made. Not only that,
[25:27] Speaker 2: but there's something else I think important. God has written
[25:29] Speaker 2: a knowledge of himself on the canvas of our consciousness,
[25:32] Speaker 2: and therefore we are without excuse, and the more light
[25:36] Speaker 2: we respond to, the more light we get. The problem
[25:39] Speaker 2: is atheists want to remain in darkness, oftentimes saying that
[25:42] Speaker 2: nothing creates everything. Life comes from non life, and the
[25:45] Speaker 2: life that comes from non life creates metaphysical realities. That's
[25:49] Speaker 2: what is really hard and takes a tremendous amount of
[25:52] Speaker 2: faith to it. Here too, not the Christian point of view.
[25:55] Speaker 2: We're out of here for today. Stand with us, shoulder
[25:57] Speaker 2: to shoulder in the battle for life and truth.

[27:00] Speaker 1: Winston Churchill once declared, you may have to fight when
[27:04] Speaker 1: there is no hope of victory, because it is better
[27:06] Speaker 1: to perish than to live as slaves. Churchill sought to
[27:10] Speaker 1: awaken those who were reluctant to fight against the advancing
[27:13] Speaker 1: Nazi war machine. Today, a spiritual battle is taking place.
[27:18] Speaker 1: Atheism advances in the West, and slavery to secularity is
[27:23] Speaker 1: imprisoning more and more hearts and minds in the United States.
[27:26] Speaker 1: For this reason, crii's ministry is critical, but we need
