[0:07] Speaker 1: You're just in time for the Bible answer Man Broadcast
[0:10] Speaker 1: with Hank Canagraph, the radio outreach of the Christian Research Institute.
[0:15] Speaker 1: Our purpose here at CRII is to equip Christians to
[0:19] Speaker 1: provide Biblical answers to life's most important questions, to read
[0:23] Speaker 1: the Bible for all it's worth, and counter the teachings
[0:26] Speaker 1: of cults and world religions that deviate from the plumb
[0:30] Speaker 1: line of God's Word, because life and truth matter. For
[0:35] Speaker 1: more information, to order resources or donate, call eight eight
[0:38] Speaker 1: eight seven thousand CROI, or go online to equip dot org.
[0:44] Speaker 1: That's equip dot org. The following program was pre recorded.
[0:50] Speaker 1: Now here's the President of the Christian Research Institute, Hank Canagraph.
[0:55] Speaker 2: Thank very much, Randy, and it is good as always
[0:57] Speaker 2: to be in studio as we answer your questions from
[1:00] Speaker 2: around the United States and Canada and from around the
[1:04] Speaker 2: world as well. I want to start the broadcast. We're
[1:08] Speaker 2: going to go right to the calls in just a second,
[1:10] Speaker 2: but I want to start the broadcast today by affirming
[1:14] Speaker 2: what I believe with respect to creation versus evolution. Reason
[1:20] Speaker 2: being that, as many of you know, internet lies travel
[1:25] Speaker 2: halfway around the world before truth has had the chance
[1:28] Speaker 2: to put its boots on. I believe that all evil
[1:35] Speaker 2: in the universe, whether natural catastrophes, nature, red in tooth
[1:43] Speaker 2: and claw, spiritual, physical death, all evil is directly attributable
[1:54] Speaker 2: to the fall of Adam and Eve into lives of
[1:57] Speaker 2: perpetual sin terminated by death. I take Genesis one at
[2:03] Speaker 2: face value. Therefore, I hold that the creation days are
[2:09] Speaker 2: literally solar days. However, they are not intended to provide
[2:16] Speaker 2: a chronology of creation, but to reveal God's purposes in creation.
[2:25] Speaker 2: I do not take an anthropocentric view of scripture. God's
[2:32] Speaker 2: purposes with respect to people, however, is clearly the point
[2:39] Speaker 2: of scripture. We need to recognize that God is revealing
[2:45] Speaker 2: an unfolding plan of redemption for humankind such that we
[2:52] Speaker 2: can be reconciled to Him for time and for eternity.
[2:58] Speaker 2: I also want to say this, I have great differenficulty
[3:00] Speaker 2: stomaching the notion of theistic evolution, and that is not
[3:05] Speaker 2: only from a biblical perspective, it is also from a
[3:09] Speaker 2: scientific perspective. And then I believe that we have to
[3:13] Speaker 2: take seriously interpretation of the Biblical text. If we do not,
[3:22] Speaker 2: we may well find ourselves marching into the kingdom of
[3:26] Speaker 2: the cults. Why is it that Mormons think that God
[3:30] Speaker 2: has feet and hands. It's because they don't know how
[3:34] Speaker 2: to interpret scripture rightly, starting with the early chapters of Genesis,
[3:42] Speaker 2: and unfortunately, there are progressive creationists today that do likewise
[3:48] Speaker 2: with the biblical text. They simply misread the intent of
[3:54] Speaker 2: the author. Job nine is a classic case in point.
[4:00] Speaker 2: He shakes the earth from its place, he makes its
[4:06] Speaker 2: pillars tremble. He speaks to the sun and it does
[4:10] Speaker 2: not shine. He seals off the light of the stars.
[4:14] Speaker 2: He alone stretches out the heavens. That last phrase being
[4:20] Speaker 2: used now to prove Big bang cosmology was a Biblical prescription.
[4:26] Speaker 2: There's an ancient way of talking about Big bang cosmology. Now,
[4:31] Speaker 2: whether or not you believe in Big Bang cosmology is
[4:34] Speaker 2: not the point. The point here is to say that
[4:38] Speaker 2: this passage has nothing whatsoever to do with Big Bang cosmology,
[4:46] Speaker 2: and to use it in that way is to do
[4:49] Speaker 2: violence to the intention of the author. And we might
[4:55] Speaker 2: just as well then say he makes its pillars tremble,
[5:00] Speaker 2: and suppose that the Earth is founded on pillars. The
[5:04] Speaker 2: point simply is this, we must learn to read the
[5:09] Speaker 2: Bible for all it's worth, or as I am more
[5:13] Speaker 2: fond of saying, mine the Bible for all its wealth.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Indeed it is a mine full of wealth, gold nuggets, plentiful.
[5:24] Speaker 2: But you're never going to get to the gold if
[5:26] Speaker 2: you don't know the art and science of biblical interpretation.
[5:31] Speaker 2: I deal with that in a special way in my
[5:34] Speaker 2: book Has God Spoken, which is a book that demonstrates
[5:38] Speaker 2: the Bible to be divine as opposed to merely human
[5:42] Speaker 2: in origin, and laid out in a mosaic by which
[5:47] Speaker 2: you can actually remember the information, and therefore prove in
[5:53] Speaker 2: an epic of time in which the Bible is under siege,
[5:58] Speaker 2: that the Bible is indeed sustainable, not only sustainable, but
[6:05] Speaker 2: ever more brilliant as a literary masterpiece in an age
[6:11] Speaker 2: of scientific enlightenment. We'll go right to our phone callers.
[6:17] Speaker 2: First up today is Aussie listening in Florence, Mississippi. Hi.
[6:22] Speaker 3: He Hey, how's it going good?
[6:23] Speaker 2: Hew?
[6:24] Speaker 3: Are you doing fine?
[6:26] Speaker 2: Oh?
[6:27] Speaker 3: Actually, I have a question. My brother is actually dealing
[6:30] Speaker 3: with a little doubt, and his doubt is that he
[6:36] Speaker 3: doesn't understand where God came from? Who made God?
[6:40] Speaker 4: Why? You know?
[6:42] Speaker 3: And I try to explain to him. You know, We're
[6:45] Speaker 3: not the ones to you know, question God. We are,
[6:48] Speaker 3: you know, simply who supposed to have faith in God,
[6:51] Speaker 3: you know, but.
[6:51] Speaker 2: Not blind faith. So it's legitimate to ask questions like that.
[6:55] Speaker 2: We're never called to blind faith. We're called to faith
[6:59] Speaker 2: in evidence. Were called to truth and other words, were
[7:03] Speaker 2: called to believe in that which corresponds to reality. And
[7:07] Speaker 2: I usually explain this in three basic points. I say that,
[7:11] Speaker 2: unlike the universe, which according to modern science, had a beginning,
[7:15] Speaker 2: God is infinite and eternal, and therefore, as an infinite,
[7:20] Speaker 2: eternal being, God logically can be demonstrated to be the
[7:24] Speaker 2: uncaused first cause. Therefore he is uncreated. Secondly, to suppose
[7:33] Speaker 2: that because the universe had to cause, the cause of
[7:37] Speaker 2: the universe must have a cause simply leads to a
[7:42] Speaker 2: logical dead end. In other words, an infinite regression of
[7:46] Speaker 2: finite causes never answers the question of source. It simply
[7:53] Speaker 2: makes the effects more numerous. And that the third point
[7:57] Speaker 2: is this simple logic dictates that the universe is not
[8:02] Speaker 2: merely an illusion. It didn't spring out of nothing, Nothing
[8:08] Speaker 2: comes from nothing, nothing ever could, and it has not
[8:11] Speaker 2: eternally existed as the Greeks once thought the law of
[8:17] Speaker 2: entropy predicts that a universe that has eternally existed would
[8:21] Speaker 2: have died an eternity ago of a heat lost death.
[8:24] Speaker 2: So the only philosophically plausible possibility that remains is that
[8:31] Speaker 2: the universe was made by an unmade cause that is
[8:35] Speaker 2: greater than itself. We simply know intuitively that every effect
[8:42] Speaker 2: has to have a cause equal to or greater than itself.
[8:47] Speaker 2: This is true with respect to the universe in which
[8:51] Speaker 2: we live. But there's no necessity to suppose that the
[8:57] Speaker 2: laws which apply to the universe in which we exist
[9:01] Speaker 2: apply to the creator of the universe in which we exist.
[9:06] Speaker 3: Wow, Okay, excellent. Well, I appreciate it.
[9:10] Speaker 2: You got it. And I've written about this in various places.
[9:14] Speaker 2: The most succinct rendering of what I just said is
[9:16] Speaker 2: found in the Complete Bible answer Book Collector's Edition.
[9:21] Speaker 3: I actually have that boot sitting right here.
[9:23] Speaker 2: Well, you can look it up. I don't know what
[9:25] Speaker 2: the page number is. We can find it in the index.
[9:28] Speaker 3: Okay, And what actually would be the question?
[9:32] Speaker 2: Who made God?
[9:33] Speaker 3: Who made God? All right, Well, I appreciate it, and God, bless.
[9:39] Speaker 2: God, bless you. And this gives me an opportunity to
[9:41] Speaker 2: say that the Support Team is a team made up
[9:43] Speaker 2: of people who stand with this ministry prayerfully and financially.
[9:48] Speaker 2: I mentioned this a number of times, but this is
[9:49] Speaker 2: a make it or break a month. This is the
[9:52] Speaker 2: end of our fiscal year June thirty. Of course, that's
[9:55] Speaker 2: not far away. It's right around the corner. And therefore
[9:58] Speaker 2: we're asking people to make a substantial commitment to this
[10:03] Speaker 2: ministry so that we can make up a critical financial shortfall.
[10:08] Speaker 2: And it's crucial to make up this shortfall by June thirty. Again,
[10:12] Speaker 2: that's the end of our fiscal year, and your gift
[10:16] Speaker 2: to help overcome the shortfall by June thirty is critically important.
[10:21] Speaker 2: We're dependent on friends like you, so I'm asking you
[10:23] Speaker 2: to send your best possible gift postmarked by June thirty,
[10:27] Speaker 2: and remember, for those who join, they'll support team. I'll
[10:31] Speaker 2: send you the complete Bible answer Book Collector's Edition, personalized
[10:34] Speaker 2: to yourself, a family member, or to a friend. Is
[10:39] Speaker 2: my way of saying thank you for standing with us,
[10:42] Speaker 2: being part of a team making a difference for time
[10:46] Speaker 2: and for eternity. We're up to station break bey right back.
[10:50] Speaker 1: If you were going into combat, what would be more
[10:53] Speaker 1: important the number of those who were for you or
[10:56] Speaker 1: the number of those who were with you. Now apply
[10:59] Speaker 1: that question to today's battle for the hearts and minds of
[11:02] Speaker 1: literally millions of people at home and abroad. That's what
[11:06] Speaker 1: makes members of CRI's support teams so vital. They're not
[11:11] Speaker 1: simply for CRI's critical mission. They're standing with CRI each
[11:16] Speaker 1: and every day. If you want your voice and your
[11:19] Speaker 1: values to be heard twenty four to seven through the
[11:21] Speaker 1: outreaches of the Christian Research Institute, become a member of
[11:25] Speaker 1: CRI's support team today. Just call eight eight eight seven
[11:29] Speaker 1: thousand CRII to stand with CRII daily in the battle
[11:33] Speaker 1: for life and truth. And as our thanks, Hank Canagraph
[11:38] Speaker 1: will personalize to you a copy of his Complete Bible
[11:41] Speaker 1: answer Book Collector's Edition, revised and expanded. Call eight eight
[11:45] Speaker 1: eight seven thousand CROI or visit our website at equipp
[11:50] Speaker 1: dot org. Hank will be back right after this. The
[12:00] Speaker 1: Soviet Red Army won the Battle of Stalingrad. It appeared
[12:04] Speaker 1: at first the Nazi war machine would secure the victory,
[12:08] Speaker 1: but the Soviets battled back from near certain defeat with
[12:11] Speaker 1: extraordinary courage and resoluteness to turn the tide of the
[12:15] Speaker 1: battle and ultimately the war. The lesson is that both
[12:19] Speaker 1: men and material people and provisions played a critical role.
[12:23] Speaker 1: Willingness to fight and munitions in the arsenal were pivotal.
[12:27] Speaker 1: Our contemporary battle for truth against anti Christian secularists raises
[12:32] Speaker 1: the stakes above the significance of Stalingrad. CRI likewise needs
[12:37] Speaker 1: military partners willing to stand for truth, along with the
[12:41] Speaker 1: financial means to accomplish the mission. Stand with us during
[12:45] Speaker 1: the key month of June to end the fiscal year
[12:48] Speaker 1: in a position of strength. Call eight eight eight seven

[12:55] Speaker 1: changing outreaches or visit equip dot org. The Complete Bible
[13:01] Speaker 1: answer Book Collector's Edition is the comprehensive collection of the
[13:05] Speaker 1: most often asked questions Hank Hannigraph has received throughout his
[13:09] Speaker 1: four decades as host of the Bible answer Man broadcast.
[13:13] Speaker 1: With more than half a million copies already in print,
[13:16] Speaker 1: this newly revised and expanded Collector's Edition helped seekers and
[13:21] Speaker 1: skeptics alike sort through the truth on topics such as
[13:24] Speaker 1: reliability of the Bible, religions and cults, the resurrection and afterlife,
[13:29] Speaker 1: and many more issues vital to a better understanding of
[13:33] Speaker 1: God in Christ and our relationship to Him. To receive
[13:37] Speaker 1: your copy of the Complete Bible answer Book Collector's Edition,

[14:01] Speaker 5: Truth Matters, Life Matters More by Hank Hannigraph is essentially
[14:05] Speaker 5: two books in one because Truth Matters Part one equips
[14:09] Speaker 5: Christians to defend the essential truth of the historic Christian faith.
[14:13] Speaker 5: In Part two, Hank explains why life matters More and
[14:17] Speaker 5: how we can experience the height of human existence union
[14:21] Speaker 5: with God in Christ. Simply put, the map is not
[14:24] Speaker 5: the territory. The menu is not the meal. We cheat
[14:27] Speaker 5: ourselves of authentic union with Christ when we elevate the
[14:31] Speaker 5: message above the Messiah. Truth Matters, Life Matters More is
[14:36] Speaker 5: a modern classic and the magnum opus of one of
[14:38] Speaker 5: the great theological minds of our time. To receive Truth Matters,
[14:43] Speaker 5: Life Matters More, simply call eight eight eight seven thousand
[14:46] Speaker 5: CRI and make a gift in support of the life
[14:49] Speaker 5: changing work of the Christian Research Institute. That's eight eight
[14:52] Speaker 5: eight seven thousand CRI. Or go online to equip dot org.
[15:07] Speaker 1: Now back to the Bible answer Man broadcast and your
[15:10] Speaker 1: host and Canigraph.
[15:12] Speaker 2: Let's go back to the phone lines. Talk to Jonathan,
[15:14] Speaker 2: who's listening in Kansas City, Missouri. Hi, Jonathan, Hey, how.
[15:18] Speaker 4: Are you, Hank, I'm good. Before I ask you my question,
[15:23] Speaker 4: let me just preface this by saying, I do believe
[15:26] Speaker 4: that the canon is one closed. I believe that God
[15:29] Speaker 4: has preserved his word and that everything we need is
[15:33] Speaker 4: there and available to us. My question has to do
[15:39] Speaker 4: with the Book of Jude, and specifically where it talks
[15:43] Speaker 4: about Satan and Michael the archangel, fighting over the body
[15:47] Speaker 4: of Moses. And I've heard a couple of different schools
[15:51] Speaker 4: of thought on that. One is that the body of
[15:53] Speaker 4: Moses is a reference to Old Testament believers, the nation
[15:58] Speaker 4: of Israel, Moses' leadership as a type of Christ. And
[16:05] Speaker 4: I've also heard that it is something that Jude put
[16:09] Speaker 4: in there to refute Gnostic teachers that were teaching things,
[16:17] Speaker 4: you know, at the time that obviously were aberant in theology,
[16:22] Speaker 4: and I just was wondering if you had any insight
[16:24] Speaker 4: into that.
[16:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, let me give you a line of reasoning here.
[16:28] Speaker 2: First of all, recognize that the early Church fathers. Let
[16:32] Speaker 2: us know that Jude is alluding to a particular work here.
[16:38] Speaker 2: It's a suit of pigriphul work called the Assumption of Moses.
[16:43] Speaker 2: In verse fourteen. What's going on is Jude quotes from
[16:47] Speaker 2: the Book of Enoch. So you have a precedent for
[16:52] Speaker 2: Jude doing this kind of thing. He not only alludes
[16:55] Speaker 2: to the Assumption of Moses, but he clearly is also
[16:59] Speaker 2: referencing the Book of Enoch all in the same epistle.
[17:03] Speaker 2: And there's a precedent for this because the other New
[17:06] Speaker 2: Testament writers do this as well. Paul, for example, quotes
[17:09] Speaker 2: from pagan poets, and in doing so, he's not claiming
[17:13] Speaker 2: divine inspiration for the pagan poets, but he's recognizing that
[17:19] Speaker 2: all truth is God's truth, and he's using truth wherever
[17:24] Speaker 2: it is found to point to the ultimate arbitra of truth.
[17:29] Speaker 2: Deuteronomy thirty four tells us that God buried Moses in Moab.
[17:36] Speaker 2: No one knows exactly where, but the text tells us that,
[17:40] Speaker 2: and the operative word here is God. God buried Moses,
[17:45] Speaker 2: and as a result, many Jewish traditions built up concerning
[17:49] Speaker 2: the death of Moses in the way in which Moses
[17:52] Speaker 2: was buried. If God did this, did he use an
[17:55] Speaker 2: angel as his agent. So a lot of traditions built up,
[17:59] Speaker 2: and the assumption of Moses was among those traditions. Now,
[18:04] Speaker 2: the point here is that Jude found this illustration in
[18:09] Speaker 2: the assumption of Moses to be helpful. Helpful not because
[18:15] Speaker 2: the assumption of Moses as part of the canon, but
[18:18] Speaker 2: helpful because there's a point here that should be underscored,
[18:23] Speaker 2: and that is the archangel Michael refused to slander the devil,
[18:31] Speaker 2: but rather than doing that, he puts the matter back
[18:36] Speaker 2: into the hands of God, saying to Satan, the Lord
[18:40] Speaker 2: rebuke you. So here's a principle extracted which points to
[18:47] Speaker 2: a precedent. That precedent is we do not slander celestial beings.
[18:52] Speaker 2: This is the prerogative of God. We want to be
[18:56] Speaker 2: more humble, and so we rebuke someone, not directly, but
[19:01] Speaker 2: rather through the agency of our heavenly Father. The Lord
[19:06] Speaker 2: rebuke you. So this is the principle that's being pointed
[19:09] Speaker 2: to I think here, and I do think that it's
[19:12] Speaker 2: reading far too much into the passage or into the
[19:17] Speaker 2: historical context to think that this is somehow or other,
[19:22] Speaker 2: some kind of typology going on here with respect to
[19:25] Speaker 2: Israel and the like. As you mentioned the prolog to
[19:27] Speaker 2: the question back to the phone lines, Jeremy Jackson, Tennessee. Hi, Jeremy, Hi, thank.
[19:34] Speaker 6: I'm asking about a last chapter mark a verse number eight,
[19:38] Speaker 6: and it's true to go first or not part of
[19:40] Speaker 6: the original manuscript, and I won't hang up to listen.
[19:43] Speaker 6: And if you can just give a detail on that place.
[19:45] Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, certainly. If you read most modern translations, you'll
[19:51] Speaker 2: find a note inserted between eight and nine in terms
[19:55] Speaker 2: of verses that says something to the effect of most
[19:59] Speaker 2: reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have
[20:04] Speaker 2: Mark sixteen, verses nine through twenty. So that's what you're
[20:08] Speaker 2: going to find as an inserted note between verse eight
[20:13] Speaker 2: and verse nine. The reason for this is what's called
[20:17] Speaker 2: the tenacity of the text. Through the tenacity of the text,
[20:22] Speaker 2: the autograph emerges. So what we have with respect to
[20:26] Speaker 2: the New Testament manuscripts is a wealth of biblical manuscripts,
[20:30] Speaker 2: and what textual critics do is they compare the manuscripts.
[20:34] Speaker 2: The manuscripts all have mistakes, but they don't all have
[20:37] Speaker 2: the same mistakes. So by comparing manuscript with the manuscript,
[20:41] Speaker 2: you can come to a true valuation of what is
[20:45] Speaker 2: the original. So the autograph has been preserved within the
[20:50] Speaker 2: manuscripts that are extant today. So God has miraculously, supernaturally
[20:56] Speaker 2: we might say, preserved his word through volume of manuscripts.
[21:01] Speaker 2: It is our responsibility to make sure that scribal insertions
[21:08] Speaker 2: are not added to the text, and so in cases
[21:11] Speaker 2: where the oldest and most reliable manuscripts don't have the
[21:14] Speaker 2: longer ending, that should be noted. So for example, the
[21:18] Speaker 2: Kmma Johannium, or the added clause of First John chapter five.
[21:23] Speaker 2: It's completely biblical in the sense that it coheres to
[21:27] Speaker 2: the rest of the Biblical text, but it's not in
[21:29] Speaker 2: the best manuscripts. So it was added too good to
[21:34] Speaker 2: leave out, so to speak, in manuscripts, and so as
[21:37] Speaker 2: a result of that, a lot of people think if
[21:39] Speaker 2: you leave it out, you're leaving something out of the Bible. No,
[21:42] Speaker 2: that sentiment in terms of the three or one is
[21:46] Speaker 2: found elsewhere in scripture the same thing in terms of
[21:50] Speaker 2: the long ending to the Lord's Prayer. It is completely biblical.
[21:54] Speaker 2: It comes directly from an Old Testament passage, but it's
[21:56] Speaker 2: not in the best, most reliable manuscripts. While it's added
[22:01] Speaker 2: in passages like Matthew Chapter five, the reality is it's
[22:05] Speaker 2: something that's pasted from an Old Testament passage onto the
[22:08] Speaker 2: ending of the large Prayer. Again, it is completely consistent
[22:14] Speaker 2: with the Bible because it comes from the Bible, but
[22:17] Speaker 2: the tenacity of the text allows the autograph to emerge intact.
[22:22] Speaker 2: And that's the point. Want to go back to the
[22:24] Speaker 2: phone lines. Let's talk next to Jose in Tampa, Florida.
[22:29] Speaker 2: Hi Jose, Hi Hank.
[22:32] Speaker 7: I'm really I really admire your ministry and the sound
[22:38] Speaker 7: doctrine that you proclaim from this writer station. I'm a
[22:45] Speaker 7: Hispanic pastor and I would like to make a personal
[22:50] Speaker 7: call about this. I'm in a transition from a church
[22:54] Speaker 7: to another place, and I already visited five different churches
[23:01] Speaker 7: in five different places, and they ask for me to
[23:07] Speaker 7: be their pastor. But they offer to me. It was
[23:12] Speaker 7: sufficient for my family to leave about that kind of proposal.
[23:18] Speaker 7: But I'm fighting inside of me if I did well
[23:22] Speaker 7: not going to those states because inside of me is
[23:28] Speaker 7: my passion to serve the Lord. And I would like
[23:31] Speaker 7: to have you know, an answer from you.
[23:36] Speaker 2: Yeah. The way I would look at this is that
[23:39] Speaker 2: God moves through circumstances and through people. Obviously, if people
[23:45] Speaker 2: are telling you to do something that is other than
[23:47] Speaker 2: what you already find taught in the Word of God,
[23:50] Speaker 2: you wouldn't listen to them. But God does move through circumstances,
[23:55] Speaker 2: and he moves through the Christian community to help show
[24:00] Speaker 2: His will in his way to individuals like you. So
[24:03] Speaker 2: you have a passion in your heart to serve God.
[24:05] Speaker 2: God's opening an opportunity, a door for service in a
[24:08] Speaker 2: particular place, and I think what you need to do
[24:12] Speaker 2: is move in that direction and God will either open
[24:17] Speaker 2: the door wider or He'll close that door. But again,
[24:21] Speaker 2: if you have this passion in your heart, I would
[24:24] Speaker 2: move in that direction again prayerfully, thoughtfully, with good godly counsel.
[24:31] Speaker 2: But I would move in that direction and certainly would
[24:35] Speaker 2: join you in prayer that God would use your move
[24:39] Speaker 2: in that direction to build up his kingdom, edify his body,
[24:43] Speaker 2: and use your talents. God's given you specific talents You've
[24:47] Speaker 2: got talents I don't have. I may have some talents
[24:49] Speaker 2: you don't have, but God is using your specific talents
[24:53] Speaker 2: to edify, equip encourage, exhort, build up the body of Christ.
[24:58] Speaker 2: I'd go for it, man, Yeah.
[25:01] Speaker 7: I understand what you're saying. But the thing is that
[25:05] Speaker 7: I reject those proposals because I was thinking that I
[25:08] Speaker 7: can hurt so much my family living on those places
[25:13] Speaker 7: without having the proper assistance, financial assistance to live with
[25:19] Speaker 7: that kind of money.
[25:20] Speaker 2: Well, and that's a very significant consideration. But let me
[25:25] Speaker 2: tell you something. When I went into ministry, I can
[25:29] Speaker 2: tell you that I saw no way in the world
[25:34] Speaker 2: that I could ever support a growing family. And believe me,
[25:39] Speaker 2: our family started to grow rather rapidly, end up with
[25:42] Speaker 2: twelve kids. So I didn't see any way that we
[25:45] Speaker 2: could possibly do it. Sometimes I still wonder today how
[25:47] Speaker 2: I'm going to make it with everything that's going on.
[25:49] Speaker 2: It's difficult, but God is our source, and the ultimate
[25:52] Speaker 2: thing that we want to do is learn to lean
[25:55] Speaker 2: more heavily upon the arm of God rather than the
[25:59] Speaker 2: arm of flesh.

[27:04] Speaker 1: there is no hope of victory, because it is better
