[0:18] Speaker 1: mission of the Christian Research Institute is to equip believers

[0:25] Speaker 1: who asks you, to give the reason for the hope
[0:27] Speaker 1: that you have with gentleness and respect. For more information

[0:41] Speaker 1: The following program was pre recorded and now here's Bible
[0:46] Speaker 1: answer Man host Hank Canagraph.
[0:48] Speaker 2: Thank very much for Randy. We'll go right to the
[0:50] Speaker 2: phone calls. First up is Chester listening, Peoria, Illinois, Hychester.
[0:55] Speaker 3: Hi. Hey, how you doing today?
[0:57] Speaker 2: I'm good, Thank you, Okay, listen.
[1:00] Speaker 3: That's concerning Ezekiel forty fourth verse twenty five. I was
[1:05] Speaker 3: told that it was a reference to the Millennium reign
[1:10] Speaker 3: and where the priests or the minister could pray someone
[1:16] Speaker 3: across the God like if they die and ain't saved.
[1:22] Speaker 3: Those that have received a mark of the Beast, they
[1:24] Speaker 3: can be prayed across the God like if I got
[1:26] Speaker 3: a sister or brother that can did that, then I
[1:29] Speaker 3: can pray for them and get them back right with God.
[1:35] Speaker 3: I don't get that. Maybe I'm missing something.
[1:37] Speaker 2: No, you're not missing something at all. In fact, that's
[1:40] Speaker 2: a very poor way to read scripture. I think you're
[1:42] Speaker 2: right to question it. Ezekiel forty four cannot possibly have
[1:48] Speaker 2: to do with a millennium. In fact, to make it
[1:52] Speaker 2: have to do with a future millennium is ten amount
[1:57] Speaker 2: to trampling upon the sacred blood of Jesus Christ. All
[2:03] Speaker 2: the types in shadows were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, including temple,
[2:09] Speaker 2: priest and sacrifice, and therefore no further sacrifice needs to
[2:16] Speaker 2: be made. It is wrong to suppose that anything is
[2:21] Speaker 2: unclean that God has called clean. In other words, Christ came,
[2:29] Speaker 2: He fulfilled the types and shadows that came before him.
[2:34] Speaker 2: To go back to types in shadows is simply untenable
[2:39] Speaker 2: from a biblical standpoint. And remember, things like circumcision, passover
[2:48] Speaker 2: animal sacrifices, things like specific priests who preside over temple
[2:55] Speaker 2: sacrifices have been abrogated. Jesus Christ has come, and therefore
[3:03] Speaker 2: we never go through a priest. We recognize the priesthood
[3:08] Speaker 2: of all believers. And again I think at the bottom
[3:13] Speaker 2: of the well here is a question, and that is,
[3:17] Speaker 2: how do we mine the Bible for all its wealth?
[3:23] Speaker 2: How do we understand what is yet future? How do
[3:29] Speaker 2: we understand the sacred words of Scripture. That's why I
[3:33] Speaker 2: labored for so many years over a book called The
[3:36] Speaker 2: Apocalypse Code. It wasn't just to give you answers on
[3:43] Speaker 2: end time debates, but at the base of it was
[3:49] Speaker 2: a deep passion to teach people to read the Bible
[3:55] Speaker 2: for all it's worth, to mine it for all its wealth,
[3:58] Speaker 2: so that whenever you open the pages of Scripture will
[4:03] Speaker 2: be like a fragrant rose opening up, and you will
[4:08] Speaker 2: be able to appreciate its beauty, its majesty, its magnificence.
[4:15] Speaker 2: The Bible should become a treasure for us. Again, we
[4:19] Speaker 2: shouldn't be befuddled by it. We shouldn't read unintended meanings
[4:25] Speaker 2: into its pages, but we should read it in the
[4:29] Speaker 2: sense in which it is intended. Again, the Apocalypse Code
[4:33] Speaker 2: is one of those books that will help you in
[4:36] Speaker 2: the process. I want to go back to the phone
[4:38] Speaker 2: lines now. Talk to Brant listening on San Francisco, California.
[4:42] Speaker 2: Hi Brandt, Hi good, How are you good?
[4:46] Speaker 3: Good?
[4:46] Speaker 4: Thanks for taking my call, Oh pleasure. This is my question.
[4:50] Speaker 4: What I want to know is why is Judas portrayed
[4:54] Speaker 4: as such a horrible person? I heard you mentioned that
[4:57] Speaker 4: he was a faithful disciple for a long time, but
[5:00] Speaker 4: then Jesus saw evil in his heart or something to
[5:03] Speaker 4: that effect. And then, you know, isn't Judas, you know,
[5:08] Speaker 4: the most important disciple in a way, because if he
[5:11] Speaker 4: hadn't betrayed Jesus, then Jesus, you know, wouldn't have been crucified.
[5:16] Speaker 4: If he hadn't been crucified, then you know, we wouldn't
[5:18] Speaker 4: be forgiven for our sins. So shouldn't he be almost
[5:21] Speaker 4: celebrated in a way for playing what might be the
[5:24] Speaker 4: most crucial part of God's man for Jesus, and it
[5:28] Speaker 4: was truly evil? How could he, you know, quote unquote,
[5:31] Speaker 4: become evil while in Jesus's presence if Jesus didn't want
[5:36] Speaker 4: him to.
[5:36] Speaker 2: Well, I remember that Jesus does not force anyone to
[5:41] Speaker 2: love him. Love has to be something that comes from
[5:44] Speaker 2: the heart. A love is something by nature that is volitional.
[5:50] Speaker 2: So you don't go to your wife and say say
[5:54] Speaker 2: you love me while you have a cocked forty five
[5:57] Speaker 2: revolver at her head. Love is something that is volitional.
[6:02] Speaker 2: In fact, God at the very beginning created human beings
[6:05] Speaker 2: in such a way that they had the opportunity to
[6:09] Speaker 2: choose to love him or to reject that choice. In
[6:14] Speaker 2: other words, they could act or act otherwise. So God
[6:18] Speaker 2: created the potential for evil by giving human beings freedom
[6:24] Speaker 2: of choice. But had he not done that, love would
[6:28] Speaker 2: be rendered meaningless. So love is something that Jesus Christ
[6:32] Speaker 2: does not force down our throats, either in this life
[6:36] Speaker 2: or in the life to come. What I've said about
[6:38] Speaker 2: Judas is a little different from what you caricature there.
[6:41] Speaker 2: What I said about Judas is simply this Judas was
[6:45] Speaker 2: part of Christ's inner circle. Thus, if we would have
[6:49] Speaker 2: been in the first century and would have had eye
[6:52] Speaker 2: to eye contact with Jesus and his followers, we would
[6:56] Speaker 2: have said, I want to be like Judas, because from
[6:59] Speaker 2: our perception from the outside, looking at Judas, we would
[7:04] Speaker 2: have said, he's the real deal. He's part of the
[7:08] Speaker 2: inner circle of Jesus Christ. He is an intimate disciple
[7:13] Speaker 2: of Jesus Christ doing the works of Jesus Christ. And
[7:17] Speaker 2: therefore I want to be like Judas. What I said
[7:20] Speaker 2: is that Jesus looks beyond all those externalities and sees
[7:24] Speaker 2: the heart of Judas and recognizes that Judas doesn't really
[7:29] Speaker 2: love him. Judas loves what's on the Master's table, not
[7:34] Speaker 2: the Master. So Judas is there for his own self gain.
[7:39] Speaker 2: He is not there because he genuinely loves the Master,
[7:44] Speaker 2: wants to serve him, follow him, and have a relationship
[7:47] Speaker 2: with him for time and for eternity. As far as
[7:51] Speaker 2: your question with respect to shouldn't we laud Judas as
[7:55] Speaker 2: the greatest of all because he is the one who
[7:58] Speaker 2: betrayed Jesus Christ, I mean that's kind of saying. Shouldn't
[8:01] Speaker 2: we laud the Assyrians for being the acts of judgment
[8:06] Speaker 2: against the Jews and exiling them and certainly murdering most
[8:10] Speaker 2: of them. Shouldn't we laud the Assyrians for their brutality.
[8:15] Speaker 2: No God uses even the evil of human beings to
[8:22] Speaker 2: please his purposes. The wrath of man shall please God.
[8:27] Speaker 2: God can make all things work together for good to
[8:30] Speaker 2: those who love Him and are the called according to
[8:32] Speaker 2: his purpose. But he can also use the temptations and
[8:38] Speaker 2: the errors and the evils of those who oppose him
[8:42] Speaker 2: for his good and greater glory. And so what Judas
[8:47] Speaker 2: did did serve the purposes of God. But that does
[8:51] Speaker 2: not mean that Judas is not culpable, justly and condignly,
[8:57] Speaker 2: culpable and condemned for his evil.
[9:01] Speaker 3: Wow.
[9:01] Speaker 4: Great, that totally answered my question. Thanks so much. I
[9:06] Speaker 4: really appreciate it, and I appreciate you doing your program
[9:09] Speaker 4: every day. I get a lot out of it, and
[9:12] Speaker 4: you just that's why I listen for answers like that. Well, Brent,
[9:15] Speaker 4: appreciate it.
[9:16] Speaker 2: Thank you well, this music to my ears. Thank you
[9:18] Speaker 2: so much for your call. And look, this is one
[9:20] Speaker 2: of the things we do on the Bible answer Man
[9:23] Speaker 2: Broadcast as we answer questions and why. It's not to say, well,
[9:27] Speaker 2: I've got all the answers, because the more I learned,
[9:29] Speaker 2: the more I realize how little I know and the
[9:31] Speaker 2: whole scope of those things that could be known. But
[9:34] Speaker 2: it is to encourage you to equip yourself to always
[9:38] Speaker 2: be ready to give an answer or reason for the
[9:40] Speaker 2: hope that lies within you, with gentleness and with respect.
[9:44] Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many times a week I
[9:47] Speaker 2: run into some issue that I have to do some
[9:48] Speaker 2: research on and I want to know why Because I
[9:52] Speaker 2: want to be an effective tool in the position that
[9:54] Speaker 2: God has placed me in. But you are in that
[9:57] Speaker 2: same circumstance. God has placed you within a sphere of influence,
[10:01] Speaker 2: and there are going to be times that people ask
[10:03] Speaker 2: you questions. You're not going to know the answer that question,
[10:06] Speaker 2: and then what are you going to do? You're going
[10:08] Speaker 2: to say, I want to research and return. In the process,
[10:11] Speaker 2: you'll become ever more equipped as a usable tool in
[10:15] Speaker 2: the hands of the Holy Spirit and the process of
[10:17] Speaker 2: the greatest enterprise known to humanity. And that enterprise is
[10:22] Speaker 2: being an ambassador for Jesus Christ, making his will in
[10:28] Speaker 2: his way known to those who do not yet know
[10:32] Speaker 2: him as Messiah. There is no greater calling, there is
[10:36] Speaker 2: no greater commission. There is no greater privilege than to
[10:41] Speaker 2: be one of those that gives a cup of cold
[10:43] Speaker 2: water a piece of bread in the name of the
[10:47] Speaker 2: one who is the Bread of life. We'll be right
[10:50] Speaker 2: back with more of the Bible instrument broadcast in just
[10:52] Speaker 2: a moment. Please don't touch that dial. We'll come back
[10:56] Speaker 2: with questions, a lot of interesting questions. You won't miss it.
[11:01] Speaker 1: Pastor Martin Nimoler spent the last seven years of Nazi
[11:04] Speaker 1: rule in concentration camps. Reflecting on the camps where millions
[11:08] Speaker 1: would die, Nimoler said, first they came for the Socialists,
[11:12] Speaker 1: and I did not speak out because I was not
[11:15] Speaker 1: a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionist and
[11:18] Speaker 1: I did not speak out because I was not a
[11:21] Speaker 1: trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I
[11:24] Speaker 1: did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
[11:27] Speaker 1: Then they came for me and there was no one
[11:30] Speaker 1: left to speak for me. To ensure that your voice

[12:07] Speaker 1: Are the words of Scripture merely human in origin? Or
[12:10] Speaker 1: are they in fact the very words of God himself.
[12:15] Speaker 1: Three years in the making and based on two decades
[12:18] Speaker 1: of research and reflection, hank Henagraph's monumental book Has God
[12:23] Speaker 1: Spoken answers what is surely the most important question facing
[12:27] Speaker 1: our world. In Has God Spoken? Memorable proofs of the
[12:31] Speaker 1: Bible's divine inspiration. Hank counters the contentions of the Bible
[12:35] Speaker 1: attackers and clearly shows that belief in the Holy Scriptures
[12:38] Speaker 1: is not a guess or wishful thinking. It is the
[12:41] Speaker 1: only logical conclusion after an honest examination of overwhelming evidence.

[13:15] Speaker 1: on Biblical Christianity are growing dangerously, but Christian Research Institutes
[13:20] Speaker 1: Support Team members aren't in favor of feeding these wolves. Instead,
[13:24] Speaker 1: each day they're making possible an array of outreaches that

[15:07] Speaker 1: Now back to the Bible answer Man broadcast and your
[15:10] Speaker 1: host and canagraph.
[15:12] Speaker 2: There about random Back to the phone lines. We'll talk
[15:14] Speaker 2: to Justin next in Cave Springs, Arkansas. Hi, Justin, Hi,
[15:19] Speaker 2: Harry Hank Good.
[15:21] Speaker 6: I just had a question about Jesus. I mean, I'm
[15:23] Speaker 6: always believed in the Trinity, and I just sometimes have
[15:27] Speaker 6: trouble defending the side that Jesus is equal with the Father.
[15:33] Speaker 6: I know he's co eternal, that's not a problem I have,
[15:36] Speaker 6: but co equal. I've been talking with a job of witness,
[15:40] Speaker 6: and I mean, I believe it's true, but I have
[15:42] Speaker 6: trouble saying the reasons why. Because when he says stuff
[15:45] Speaker 6: like like the things they bring up, it's because I
[15:50] Speaker 6: don't have very much knowledge as much as they do.
[15:52] Speaker 6: They I haven't researched like they have. But things like
[15:56] Speaker 6: saying only the Father knows the time, or whenever he
[16:01] Speaker 6: says when he's talking to the woman talking when she's
[16:04] Speaker 6: asking about worship, and he says, why do you call
[16:08] Speaker 6: me good? When she says good teacher, and he says,
[16:10] Speaker 6: there's only one good and that's God. But he doesn't
[16:13] Speaker 6: say himself. It says if he's talking about somebody else,
[16:15] Speaker 6: or when he prays in the garden, he's praying, Latina
[16:19] Speaker 6: might will be done, but you will be done.
[16:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, all of that is answered, though, justin in recognizing
[16:25] Speaker 2: that Jesus Christ in the incarnation voluntarily took on the
[16:30] Speaker 2: limitations of humanity. He took on the form and nature
[16:35] Speaker 2: of a servant. But that does not mean that he
[16:38] Speaker 2: was divested of a single attribute of deity. He simply
[16:43] Speaker 2: limited the prerogatives of divinity, but he was not divested
[16:48] Speaker 2: of a single attribute.
[16:50] Speaker 6: So at the time that he was flesh, was he
[16:53] Speaker 6: considered at that time equal with God as a father?
[16:57] Speaker 2: Yes, he is one person with two natures, is one
[17:00] Speaker 2: hundred percent human and one hundred percent divine. And remember
[17:05] Speaker 2: that in the incarnation Jesus claimed the very words by
[17:10] Speaker 2: which God revealed himself to Moses from the burning bush.
[17:14] Speaker 2: Remember where he said in John eight, I tell you
[17:17] Speaker 2: the truth before Abraham was born, I am by the
[17:22] Speaker 2: way that Jehovah's witnesses are aware of that, And so
[17:25] Speaker 2: they changed that to I was. But the Jews knew
[17:29] Speaker 2: exactly what Jesus was saying. They picked up stones to stone,
[17:32] Speaker 2: and that Jesus hid himself slipping away from the temple grounds.
[17:36] Speaker 2: You also have an Exodus three p. Fourteen. Of course,
[17:39] Speaker 2: those words where God the Father says to Moses, I
[17:43] Speaker 2: am who I am. This is what you are to
[17:47] Speaker 2: say to the Israelites. I Am has sent me to you. Now,
[17:52] Speaker 2: to the Jews, when Jesus took on the sacred name,
[17:56] Speaker 2: it was the epitome of blasphemy because they knew that
[18:01] Speaker 2: when Jesus did that, he was clearly claiming to be God.
[18:06] Speaker 2: And Jesus said that explicitly. He said, I and the
[18:09] Speaker 2: Father are one. In other words, if you've seen me,
[18:12] Speaker 2: you've seen God. And again the Jews picked up stones
[18:16] Speaker 2: to stone him, but Jesus said, I've shown you many
[18:19] Speaker 2: great miracles. For which of these do you stone me?
[18:24] Speaker 2: And they said, well, we're not stoning you for any
[18:25] Speaker 2: of these miracles, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man,
[18:30] Speaker 2: claim that you are God. And that is precisely what
[18:35] Speaker 2: Jesus did over and over again during his earthly sojourn.
[18:39] Speaker 2: But not only so. It's not only Jesus claiming to
[18:44] Speaker 2: be God. It is the credentials of Christ that back
[18:48] Speaker 2: up his claim to deity. He forgives sin, he calms
[18:54] Speaker 2: the winds and the waves, He manifests authority over supernatural beings.
[19:00] Speaker 2: And not only so, but what does the Bible do
[19:03] Speaker 2: the Bible renders Jesus Christ God.
[19:07] Speaker 6: That's exactly what I tell them. And then they always
[19:09] Speaker 6: have something to say like he says, whenever Jesus says,
[19:12] Speaker 6: I do nothing of my own initiative, only what I
[19:14] Speaker 6: see my father do, meaning like the things he does,
[19:16] Speaker 6: he only does through his father's power.
[19:18] Speaker 2: Yeah. But remember here is the problem that Jehovah's witnesses
[19:22] Speaker 2: start with Jesus as the archangel Michael, and then in
[19:26] Speaker 2: the incarnation make him a mere man. We do not,
[19:30] Speaker 2: as believers make him a mere man because we bow
[19:33] Speaker 2: before the authority of scriptures. What the Jehovah's witnesses have
[19:37] Speaker 2: done is tamper with the scriptures. So they tamper with
[19:42] Speaker 2: John one one, they tamper with Colossians one. They off
[19:47] Speaker 2: escape when it comes to Revelation one or Hebrews one.
[19:50] Speaker 6: I see.
[19:52] Speaker 2: So the point is not that Jehovah's witnesses know what
[19:55] Speaker 2: they're talking about. They don't and they haven't done the research.
[19:58] Speaker 2: What they have is a little try they run on
[20:01] Speaker 2: and as soon as you take them off that track,
[20:03] Speaker 2: they're lost because they have not really studied the Bible.
[20:08] Speaker 2: They've studied a particular aspect of teaching given to them
[20:14] Speaker 2: by the Watchtower of Society, who's doing all the thinking
[20:16] Speaker 2: for them.
[20:17] Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what that always use the tract What is
[20:20] Speaker 6: his Bible really teaches what it's called?
[20:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So I think this gets at the
[20:26] Speaker 2: heart of something. You should be able to demonstrate that
[20:29] Speaker 2: the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is God, that the
[20:32] Speaker 2: credentials of Christ back up the claim of Christ the deity,
[20:35] Speaker 2: and of course that Christ himself said I'm the Elf
[20:38] Speaker 2: and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning
[20:41] Speaker 2: in the end. Right.
[20:42] Speaker 6: That's also because they say, I don't know what the
[20:45] Speaker 6: verse is, the firstborn overall creation. Yeah, and they say
[20:49] Speaker 6: that's whenever God they seen, God made the sun, and
[20:52] Speaker 6: then the Sun made everything, and everything was made for God,
[20:55] Speaker 6: but by his.
[20:56] Speaker 2: Own son, so he but that's not what the text says.
[20:58] Speaker 2: I mean, the text says that He is over all creation.
[21:02] Speaker 2: And what they've had to do with that text is
[21:05] Speaker 2: they've had to tamper with it. And so when the
[21:08] Speaker 2: text says that Jesus Christ is the image of the
[21:12] Speaker 2: invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for by him
[21:17] Speaker 2: all things were created, they have to insert other and
[21:19] Speaker 2: they not only do it once, they do it four
[21:21] Speaker 2: times in Colautions one, starting at verse fifteen. And that's
[21:25] Speaker 2: the problem with the Watchtower organization. They have to tamper
[21:27] Speaker 2: with the Biblical text and they don't know how to
[21:30] Speaker 2: read the Bible for all it's worth. First born does
[21:34] Speaker 2: not have to do with chronology, as though Jesus is
[21:37] Speaker 2: the first one born. It has to do with pre eminence.
[21:41] Speaker 2: And you see that by comparing scripture with scripture. Was
[21:45] Speaker 2: David the first born son of Jesse, not in terms
[21:49] Speaker 2: of chronology, but certainly he was in terms of pre eminence.
[21:53] Speaker 2: So they misunderstand the word first born or certainly off
[21:58] Speaker 2: you scate when it comes to that word, right.
[22:02] Speaker 6: Okay, well I really appreciate it. Hey, you got to
[22:04] Speaker 6: show every day.
[22:06] Speaker 2: Probably, Well, thank you so much, and thank you for
[22:08] Speaker 2: being a witness to the witnesses, and don't give up hope,
[22:11] Speaker 2: because there have been a lot of witnesses that I've
[22:13] Speaker 2: talked to over the years and you think you're getting nowhere,
[22:17] Speaker 2: and years later I've had the experience of running into
[22:20] Speaker 2: the same Jeovah's witness and they say, you know what,
[22:23] Speaker 2: I am now a believer in fact, I'd had that
[22:24] Speaker 2: experience when I was in Medesta, California. I was autographing
[22:28] Speaker 2: books at the table and a man came up to
[22:30] Speaker 2: me and he was emotional. He said, I just want
[22:33] Speaker 2: to thank you. He said. I was in the Watchtower organization,
[22:35] Speaker 2: but as a result of listening to the Bible Answermen broadcast,
[22:38] Speaker 2: I gave my life to Christ. I now know that
[22:41] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ is God.
[22:44] Speaker 6: That's awesome. Well, I appreciate it so much and I
[22:48] Speaker 6: will keep listening.
[22:49] Speaker 2: Thanks, justin no problem. Appreciate your call back to the
[22:52] Speaker 2: phone lines. We talked to Tim listening on the web, Phoenix, Arizona.
[22:56] Speaker 2: I Tim, are you good?
[23:00] Speaker 7: Had a question about creation, specifically with Adam.
[23:03] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[23:04] Speaker 7: I wanted to know if you believe that Adam was
[23:06] Speaker 7: created with age, as in created to be an adult
[23:09] Speaker 7: without a beginning through childhood.
[23:12] Speaker 2: Well, of course, but he was not created with liver spots.
[23:17] Speaker 2: He wasn't created with a receding hairline. I mean, so
[23:20] Speaker 2: if you would have seen Adam, you would have thought, boy,
[23:22] Speaker 2: he's got a lot of wear and tear on him.
[23:25] Speaker 2: So there's not any kind of deception going on here.
[23:28] Speaker 2: As though Adam looks as though he's walked many a
[23:31] Speaker 2: mile on this earth. You could tell that he was
[23:33] Speaker 2: brand new, just as the Bible tells us.
[23:37] Speaker 7: Okay, because I've been I grew up in thinking about
[23:40] Speaker 7: the young Earth and believing in the young Earth. And
[23:43] Speaker 7: I've heard recently some things you've said about looking at
[23:45] Speaker 7: the Book of Nature and things like that, and how
[23:48] Speaker 7: it might you know, look at being an older Earth.
[23:51] Speaker 7: But I was thinking about if Adam was created with age,
[23:55] Speaker 7: would it be beyond God's power to create the universe
[23:58] Speaker 7: with age, as in, you know, the life and stars
[24:01] Speaker 7: already being in its course, and you know the universe
[24:04] Speaker 7: that was, you know, they say, expanded to where it
[24:08] Speaker 7: is today, to not take millions and billions of years
[24:11] Speaker 7: to do that, but have it, you know, in its
[24:13] Speaker 7: course where it was when you created at them.
[24:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, here's the problem with appearance of age. It's unfalsifiable.
[24:21] Speaker 2: You can't even prove that you weren't created just five
[24:24] Speaker 2: minutes ago with implanted memories, or take observable astronomical events
[24:29] Speaker 2: such as a super nova in which you see before,
[24:33] Speaker 2: in and after. Think about the super nova in nineteen
[24:36] Speaker 2: eighty seven prior to February twenty three, nineteen eighty seven,
[24:40] Speaker 2: it was a star and then it went super nova
[24:43] Speaker 2: on February twenty third, But it is one hundred and
[24:47] Speaker 2: sixty eight thousand light years away. Therefore it actually occurred
[24:53] Speaker 2: one hundred and sixty eight thousand years ago. But if
[24:57] Speaker 2: the Young Earth is a tenable view, then the star
[25:01] Speaker 2: never existed. And this is like creating a documentary movie
[25:06] Speaker 2: of an event that never happened. I don't think that's
[25:10] Speaker 2: the kind of way in which God gives us an
[25:13] Speaker 2: opportunity to see his fingerprints on the universe in which
[25:17] Speaker 2: he created. I think you know these arguments, like light
[25:21] Speaker 2: in transit or decay in the speed of light, they
[25:26] Speaker 2: create more problems than they solve. I think far better
[25:31] Speaker 2: that you recognize God is giving us a way of
[25:35] Speaker 2: being able to think his thoughts after him, to be
[25:38] Speaker 2: able to see his impromter on the world that he
[25:42] Speaker 2: has created. So when you see a star in the
[25:46] Speaker 2: various phases, so one star is born, another star is midlife,
[25:51] Speaker 2: another star is a white dwarf star. You can, on
[25:55] Speaker 2: the basis of that calculate nuclear fusion and know how
[26:00] Speaker 2: how long it takes for the mass of a star
[26:02] Speaker 2: to burn out. That gives you a time parameter. We
[26:05] Speaker 2: had to take that seriously. Unfortunately, we're out of time
[26:07] Speaker 2: for this edition of the Bible Lanceman Broadcast. See you

[27:05] Speaker 1: God Spoken? Are the words of Scripture merely human in origin?
[27:10] Speaker 1: Or are they, in fact the very words of God himself?
[27:15] Speaker 1: Three years in the making and based on two decades
[27:18] Speaker 1: of research and reflection, Hank Henagraph's monumental book Has God
[27:23] Speaker 1: Spoken answers what is surely the most important question facing
[27:27] Speaker 1: our world. In Has God Spoken? Memorable proofs of the
[27:31] Speaker 1: Bible's divine inspiration. Hank counters the contentions of the Bible
[27:35] Speaker 1: attackers and clearly shows that belief in the Holy Scriptures
[27:38] Speaker 1: is not a guess or wishful thinking. It is the
