[0:23] Speaker 1: Christian faith, but become an apprentice of Jesus Christ, because
[0:27] Speaker 1: life and truth matter. To learn more or to find

[0:43] Speaker 1: dot org. The following program was pre recorded. Now here's
[0:49] Speaker 1: Hank Hanagraph.
[0:50] Speaker 2: The prophets identified Messiah with such specificity that only one
[0:54] Speaker 2: could emerge. His ancestry marked thousands of years prior to
[0:59] Speaker 2: his birth. His birthplace likewise foretold, the circumstances surrounding his
[1:06] Speaker 2: death prophesied in minute detail before crucifixion was ever invented.
[1:13] Speaker 2: The date of his visitation predicted within historically narrow time perimeters.
[1:20] Speaker 2: He was an extraordinary miracle worker. He would fulfill the
[1:24] Speaker 2: law and the prophets and be a light to the gentile,
[1:27] Speaker 2: so that salvation were God to the ends of the earth.
[1:31] Speaker 2: The prophecies concerning him are simply so precise that the
[1:35] Speaker 2: probabilities as someone fulfilling them by chance simply do not exist.
[1:42] Speaker 2: No mere mortal can write history prior to the fact.
[1:47] Speaker 2: God and God alone could have etched Christ's portrait in
[1:52] Speaker 2: the Old Testament and then cause it to come to
[1:54] Speaker 2: flesh in the New. Jesus, the Superstar of biblical prophecy,
[1:59] Speaker 2: a memory means by which you can demonstrate that Jesus
[2:02] Speaker 2: is in fact the Christ, and in doing so, be
[2:07] Speaker 2: a testimony with respect to genuine prophecy, demonstrating that you
[2:13] Speaker 2: can stake your life on the Christ, the paragon of virtue,
[2:19] Speaker 2: who not only spoke in the universe leapt into existence,
[2:22] Speaker 2: but has come to redeem us so that we can
[2:26] Speaker 2: inhabit a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, prepared
[2:30] Speaker 2: as a bride, beautifully adorned for a husband again. The
[2:34] Speaker 2: booklet available you can order online at equip dot org.
[2:38] Speaker 2: For your gift, we'll send you Jesus, the Superstar of
[2:42] Speaker 2: Biblical prophecy. Well a lot of you hanging on. We'll
[2:45] Speaker 2: go right to the phone lines. First up is Quentin
[2:47] Speaker 2: in beaver Damn, Kentucky.
[2:48] Speaker 3: Hi, Quentin, Hello, I've got a question on tithing.
[2:51] Speaker 2: Uh huh.
[2:52] Speaker 4: I know you're supposed to pay our gift ten percent,
[2:55] Speaker 4: but if given tim percent means not being able to
[2:59] Speaker 4: possibly pay or get behind on your bills, do you
[3:02] Speaker 4: continue to give timber san and have faith that the
[3:05] Speaker 4: Lord will still provide you know, down the road.
[3:09] Speaker 2: Yeah. Remember that tithing is not a legalistic prescription. It's
[3:13] Speaker 2: a state of the heart. We give because we have
[3:16] Speaker 2: been given. We give because we won't extend His kingdom
[3:19] Speaker 2: rather than our own. But we're also to be faithful
[3:23] Speaker 2: in the commitments that we have made to others because
[3:25] Speaker 2: this is a testimony to our belief in Jesus Christ.
[3:29] Speaker 2: People can see Christ in us because we are those
[3:35] Speaker 2: who are Christ Like, so we are to adhere to
[3:38] Speaker 2: good principles and practices. We shouldn't defraud other people and say, well,
[3:44] Speaker 2: I was giving it to God. I think it's important
[3:47] Speaker 2: for us to have our heart in the right place.
[3:49] Speaker 2: And when our heart is in the right place, God
[3:52] Speaker 2: will ultimately give us an opportunity to demonstrate our love
[3:57] Speaker 2: for Him in a whole lot of ways, through our time,
[4:01] Speaker 2: through our talent, and through our treasure. So we shouldn't
[4:04] Speaker 2: look at this as a legalistic prescription. If we don't
[4:07] Speaker 2: meet it, then we've got problems. Now. The problem is
[4:11] Speaker 2: if your heart is selfish rather than selfless, and tithing
[4:16] Speaker 2: becomes a way of learning to trust in God, and
[4:20] Speaker 2: learning to trust in God will ultimately open up a
[4:23] Speaker 2: free will avenue of giving where you realize you're not
[4:26] Speaker 2: an owner at all, You're a steward and you can
[4:28] Speaker 2: hold everything you have with an open hand so God
[4:30] Speaker 2: can take out and put in as he sees fit.
[4:33] Speaker 4: Okay, that answers it. I thank you very much.
[4:35] Speaker 2: You got it. Thank you so much for your call.
[4:37] Speaker 2: Back to the phone lines. We'll talk next to Rick
[4:39] Speaker 2: and El Paso, Texas. Hi.
[4:41] Speaker 3: Rick, yesk, I love yourself very very much. I have
[4:47] Speaker 3: a question. Me and my wife are Christians and we
[4:51] Speaker 3: go to Seventh day Adventist Church. But I am confused.
[4:57] Speaker 3: What day is Sabbath Day?
[5:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, remember that the Sabbath day is Saturday in
[5:05] Speaker 2: the Old Testament, but the day of worship is changed
[5:09] Speaker 2: to the first day of the week as a result
[5:11] Speaker 2: of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That is why the
[5:14] Speaker 2: early Church changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday,
[5:18] Speaker 2: and within weeks, thousands of Jews willingly gave up a
[5:22] Speaker 2: theological tradition that had given them their national identity. Why
[5:26] Speaker 2: because God himself provided the early Church with a new
[5:29] Speaker 2: pattern of worship through Christ's resurrection on the first day
[5:33] Speaker 2: of the week, as well as the Holy Spirit's descent
[5:36] Speaker 2: on Pentecost Sunday. Now, what's really important for this is
[5:41] Speaker 2: an understanding that the type and the shadow gives way
[5:49] Speaker 2: to the substance, and that substance is Jesus Christ. So again,
[5:53] Speaker 2: the resurrection shifts the emphasis. The resurrection becomes the celebration
[5:59] Speaker 2: of the rest we have through Christ, who delivers us
[6:03] Speaker 2: from sin and the grave. And therefore, for the emerging
[6:06] Speaker 2: Christian Church, the most dangerous thing to do was to
[6:09] Speaker 2: fail to recognize that Jesus was the substance that fulfilled
[6:12] Speaker 2: the symbol of the Sabbath. So in Christ we have
[6:15] Speaker 2: our Sabbath rest. And so when we celebrate the resurrection
[6:20] Speaker 2: every single Sunday, we are celebrating the rest we have
[6:24] Speaker 2: in Jesus Christ. So it's a matter of emphasis and
[6:27] Speaker 2: the emphasis placed on the first day of the week
[6:29] Speaker 2: in honor of the resurrection, which is the central pillar
[6:32] Speaker 2: on which all of Christianity either rises or falls.
[6:37] Speaker 3: So it's okay to go to church on Sundays Saturdays.
[6:43] Speaker 2: Yes, because we are worshiping the resurrected Christ, and we
[6:47] Speaker 2: are remembering that his resurrection frees us from sin and
[6:54] Speaker 2: the grave, from death and destruction. So it's the greatest celebration.
[6:59] Speaker 2: But we we still maintain the pattern of six days
[7:03] Speaker 2: of work and one day of rest in honor of
[7:06] Speaker 2: the rest that we have through Christ, who delivers us
[7:09] Speaker 2: from sin and death. And remember, if we want to
[7:12] Speaker 2: be slavishly bound to Old Testament laws, then we should
[7:16] Speaker 2: also be forewarned that failing to keep the letter of
[7:18] Speaker 2: the law is hazardous. Why because according to the Mosaic law,
[7:22] Speaker 2: anyone who does any work on the Sabbath must be
[7:24] Speaker 2: put to death. But the Apostle Paul says, Christ redeemed
[7:28] Speaker 2: us from the curse of the law by becoming a
[7:30] Speaker 2: curse for us.
[7:32] Speaker 3: You know, I have a Bible teacher that tells us
[7:36] Speaker 3: that people that go to church on Sundays are not
[7:40] Speaker 3: going to go to heaven.
[7:41] Speaker 2: Now I know that's what Believe me, I've had a
[7:43] Speaker 2: lot of Seventh Day Just tell me that I've taken
[7:46] Speaker 2: on the mark of the beast as a result of
[7:48] Speaker 2: worshiping on Sunday as opposed to on Saturday. But this
[7:52] Speaker 2: is simply short sighted. It's wrong. We go to heaven
[7:56] Speaker 2: because we recognize we're sinners. We repent of our and
[8:00] Speaker 2: receive Jesus Christ as savior and Lord of our life.
[8:03] Speaker 2: We're not slavishly bound to Old Testament laws. Now, remember,
[8:08] Speaker 2: not all Seventh day Adventists are traditionalists. Traditionalists have all
[8:12] Speaker 2: kinds of aberrations. They believe in soul sleep. They believe
[8:16] Speaker 2: in the seer status of L. And G. White as well,
[8:19] Speaker 2: but both are bad concepts. Sol sleep well, the Bible
[8:24] Speaker 2: provides ample evidence that the soul continues to exist apart
[8:27] Speaker 2: from the body, So that's just dead wrong. And then
[8:30] Speaker 2: as far as el G. White is a prophetess is concerned,
[8:33] Speaker 2: she claimed divine authority for her prophecies, and she was
[8:36] Speaker 2: obviously wrong when she prophesied that she would be alive
[8:38] Speaker 2: at the second Coming of Christ. So the second Coming
[8:42] Speaker 2: of Christ hasn't happened yet, so it was a false prophecy.
[8:45] Speaker 2: So I think you need to watch the traditionalists who
[8:48] Speaker 2: major on the seer status of L. And G. White
[8:51] Speaker 2: on Sabbatarianism and on things like soul sleep.
[8:54] Speaker 3: So do you think I should just go back to
[8:57] Speaker 3: church on Sundays instead of Saturdays.
[8:59] Speaker 2: Or be involved in a church that is teaching people
[9:02] Speaker 2: that Sunday worship is the mark of the beast. Nor
[9:06] Speaker 2: would I be involved in a church in which you're
[9:10] Speaker 2: being taught that if you worship on Sunday you can't
[9:12] Speaker 2: be saved. This is simply wrong headed theology. Now, there
[9:17] Speaker 2: are some Adventists who are completely Orthodox, but it sounds
[9:22] Speaker 2: like you're in a traditionalist Adventist camp, and I think
[9:25] Speaker 2: they are bound by all kinds of legalism and bad tradition.
[9:29] Speaker 3: You know. But me and my wife got married by
[9:31] Speaker 3: a pastor from a Seventh day Adventist. Is that okay?
[9:35] Speaker 3: Or do we need to get married again?
[9:37] Speaker 2: No, you're still married. But you're still married. Now you
[9:41] Speaker 2: can have another renewal of your vows. I mean, I've
[9:44] Speaker 2: done that for people myself, But you're still married, and
[9:48] Speaker 2: you know, look, just move on and commit yourself to
[9:51] Speaker 2: a central Christian doctrine. On secondary issues, we can debate
[9:55] Speaker 2: them vigorousy, we don't have to divide over them. But
[9:57] Speaker 2: on a central Christian doctrine the core of the Gospel.
[10:00] Speaker 2: We have to be united because essential Christian doctrine is
[10:04] Speaker 2: the foundation for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is
[10:08] Speaker 2: the north star by which the Church sets its sail,
[10:11] Speaker 2: and it's the line of demarcation between the Kingdom of
[10:13] Speaker 2: Christ and the kingdom of the culture. I wrote an
[10:15] Speaker 2: article called what is the Central Christian Doctrine? And it
[10:19] Speaker 2: gives you the essential of the historic Christian faith in
[10:21] Speaker 2: memorable format. Focus on that so you understand what the
[10:25] Speaker 2: essentials are. I think that should be your line of
[10:28] Speaker 2: demarcation from this day forward as well.
[10:31] Speaker 3: Okay, okay, thank you very much.
[10:34] Speaker 2: Henk, you got it, my friend, Thank you much for
[10:37] Speaker 2: calling as well. Again. It's called what is the Central
[10:40] Speaker 2: Christian Doctrine. You to master the main and plain things
[10:42] Speaker 2: of historic Christianity in minutes, you remember them for a lifetime.
[10:46] Speaker 2: It's a memorable guide to doctrines that, as I said,
[10:49] Speaker 2: form the line of demarcation between the Kingdom of Christ
[10:52] Speaker 2: and the kingdom of the cults. These are the very
[10:55] Speaker 2: doctrines for which the martyrs shed their blood. We write
[10:57] Speaker 2: back with more answers in just a.
[10:59] Speaker 1: Few Pastor Martin Nimoler spent the last seven years of
[11:04] Speaker 1: Nazi rule in concentration camps. Reflecting on the camps where
[11:08] Speaker 1: millions would die, Nimoler said, first they came for the socialists,
[11:12] Speaker 1: and I did not speak out because I was not
[11:15] Speaker 1: a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionist and
[11:18] Speaker 1: I did not speak out because I was not a
[11:21] Speaker 1: trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I
[11:24] Speaker 1: did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
[11:27] Speaker 1: Then they came for me and there was no one
[11:30] Speaker 1: left to speak for me. To ensure that your voice

[12:01] Speaker 1: of wolves surrounding the Christian flock is growing, and they
[12:05] Speaker 1: relish nothing more than docile's sheep, utterly incapable of defending

[13:26] Speaker 1: the Bible, not current events or recent history. The Apocalypse
[13:31] Speaker 1: Code offers sane answers to some very controversial questions, such
[13:35] Speaker 1: as what does it mean to take the Book of

[14:13] Speaker 1: and joy await us in the world to come. But
[14:16] Speaker 1: our Lord warned that while the gate to Hell is wide,
[14:19] Speaker 1: the road to it broad, and those who enter through
[14:22] Speaker 1: it are many, the gate is narrow and the way

[15:12] Speaker 2: Thank you very much, r Andy. We'll go right back
[15:13] Speaker 2: to our phone callers. Next up as Russell in Beckville, Texas.
[15:17] Speaker 2: Hi Russell, Hi, Hi, HOI doing I'm doing well? Thank you.
[15:22] Speaker 5: I appreciate you.
[15:23] Speaker 6: Ministry. My question is we all wear agreement that Christ
[15:28] Speaker 6: has a resurrected body and he has sended into Heaven.
[15:32] Speaker 6: So where would Christ's body be if there's not a
[15:37] Speaker 6: physical place having Well.
[15:39] Speaker 2: Remember that Jesus Christ is not in the ascension, ascending
[15:46] Speaker 2: up at some speed such that he is now no
[15:50] Speaker 2: matter how fast he's gone, not even out of our
[15:53] Speaker 2: little universe yet and probably struggling with oxygen deprivation. Rather,
[15:57] Speaker 2: when we talk about Jesus Christ into Heaven, we are
[16:01] Speaker 2: communicating the notion that Jesus Christ transcends time and space,
[16:08] Speaker 2: and that is a very significant concept. We know that
[16:12] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ is forever in flesh, and so we need
[16:18] Speaker 2: to point out that Jesus ascended into heaven is a
[16:22] Speaker 2: comment that does not apply that he's traveling through space,
[16:25] Speaker 2: but again that as the God Man, he transcends time
[16:29] Speaker 2: and space, or put another way, heaven is not located
[16:32] Speaker 2: in time and space, it exists in another dimension. Another
[16:37] Speaker 2: point it should be made in this regard is that
[16:39] Speaker 2: the physical universe does not exhaust reality. It doesn't take
[16:43] Speaker 2: a rocket scientist to understand that an effect like the
[16:46] Speaker 2: universe has to have a cause greater than itself, and
[16:50] Speaker 2: that is a self evident fact, not only for those
[16:54] Speaker 2: who are philosophically sophisticated, but for thinking people everywhere. So
[16:59] Speaker 2: the notion that the creator of the universe transcends the
[17:03] Speaker 2: universe should pose no problem to us whatsoever. And let
[17:07] Speaker 2: me make one other point, and that is God often
[17:10] Speaker 2: uses physical examples to point to spiritual realities, and so
[17:15] Speaker 2: the physical fact of Christ's ascension points to the greater
[17:19] Speaker 2: truth that He's now glorified in the presence of God,
[17:22] Speaker 2: and that our glorification is divinely guaranteed. In much the
[17:28] Speaker 2: same fashion, so will be.
[17:31] Speaker 6: In agreement that Christ is sitting at God and on
[17:35] Speaker 6: the throne. That Steven said or he was sound in heaven, Well.
[17:40] Speaker 2: What we would say is that is a heavenly condescension.
[17:43] Speaker 2: That is a way of communicating that Jesus Christ has
[17:47] Speaker 2: ascended to the right hand of Power in the incarnation
[17:52] Speaker 2: Jesus Christ voluntarily limited the prerogatives of divinity without divesting
[17:58] Speaker 2: himself of a single attribute of deity. Jesus now has
[18:02] Speaker 2: been exalted, so that at the name of Jesus Christ,
[18:07] Speaker 2: every knee should bow. So he has again taken his
[18:12] Speaker 2: rightful position of authority after completing the atonement for the
[18:18] Speaker 2: sin of humankind through his life, his death, his resurrection,
[18:23] Speaker 2: and his ascension, through which he transcends time and space.
[18:29] Speaker 6: Okay, but I am I I got lost in all
[18:34] Speaker 6: that transcending and stuff. But I've just wordered that you
[18:40] Speaker 6: concur that is a plies where Christ he is now
[18:46] Speaker 6: at God's right hand. I mean, is it a price
[18:49] Speaker 6: or is it just a spiritual dimension? Because if it's
[18:52] Speaker 6: just a spiritual dimension.
[18:53] Speaker 2: Well, remember I answer that question by saying that Jesus
[18:55] Speaker 2: Christ transcends time and space. But in terms of our
[18:59] Speaker 2: reality is human beings. When we die, we're absent from
[19:02] Speaker 2: the body. We're present with the Lord. There's a unnatural
[19:06] Speaker 2: rending that takes place between body and soul. So to
[19:10] Speaker 2: ask where a soul is is a confusion of categories.
[19:14] Speaker 2: Souls don't have awareness. They have awareness, but they don't
[19:18] Speaker 2: have locational qualities. They're non physical, they're non corporeal, so
[19:24] Speaker 2: to ask where a soul is doesn't make any sense.
[19:26] Speaker 2: But Jesus Christ, the god Man, has no problem whatsoever
[19:31] Speaker 2: transcending time and space.
[19:34] Speaker 6: Yeah, my question was just on the conclusion or the
[19:38] Speaker 6: thought was stated at have or not being a place,
[19:41] Speaker 6: and I was just for as scripture tales made that
[19:44] Speaker 6: there is a place. I mean, it's beyond our dimension.
[19:48] Speaker 6: But as far as scripture goes, I think there is
[19:51] Speaker 6: enough evidence to say that there is a heaven. Even
[19:55] Speaker 6: though God is omni president, has not held to any
[19:58] Speaker 6: one location, but like it is best said that his
[20:03] Speaker 6: presence is most known.
[20:05] Speaker 2: Well, you asked me for my opinion. I gave you
[20:07] Speaker 2: my opinion. I disagree with yours, and you know we
[20:10] Speaker 2: can debate that vigorously without dividing over it. But let
[20:12] Speaker 2: me make this point very clearly. Heaven is, in essence
[20:17] Speaker 2: what we look forward to, a new Jerusalem coming down
[20:20] Speaker 2: out of heaven, prepared as a bride, beautifully adorned for
[20:23] Speaker 2: a husband, a time when the old order of things
[20:27] Speaker 2: will be done away with and all things will become new,
[20:30] Speaker 2: A time in which paradise lost will become paradise. Restored,
[20:36] Speaker 2: so heaven will be a place when we are physical
[20:39] Speaker 2: beings again, which is to say that there's a time
[20:44] Speaker 2: in which the souls of departed humans will return to
[20:49] Speaker 2: their bodies. Those bodies will be resurrected, immortal, imperishable, incorruptible.
[20:54] Speaker 2: The universe itself will be transformed. It now groans and travail,
[20:59] Speaker 2: and then and will be a place. It will be
[21:02] Speaker 2: this universe restored so that it no longer is subject
[21:08] Speaker 2: to the older of things, but becomes subject to a
[21:11] Speaker 2: new order of things. This is the biblical language to
[21:15] Speaker 2: which we must appeal. So it is relevant for me
[21:18] Speaker 2: to say that once there is an unnatural rending between
[21:23] Speaker 2: body and soul and death, the soul goes to be
[21:25] Speaker 2: with the Lord, and that is not a locational statement
[21:29] Speaker 2: but a relational statement. And that once again becomes a
[21:34] Speaker 2: locational statement when the soul returns to the body, and
[21:37] Speaker 2: then we have physical properties again. Thus we can talk
[21:41] Speaker 2: in locational terms again. But as I've made the qualification
[21:46] Speaker 2: with Jesus Christ. When we talk about Jesus Christ, we're
[21:50] Speaker 2: talking about the one who transcends time and space. And
[21:55] Speaker 2: as I pointed out to say, Jesus ascended into Heaven
[21:58] Speaker 2: does not imply that he's traveling through space, but rather
[22:03] Speaker 2: that as the God Man, he transcended time and space.
[22:08] Speaker 2: Heaven is not located in time and space. Heaven exists
[22:14] Speaker 2: in another dimension. Let's go back to the phone lines now.
[22:17] Speaker 2: Talk to Richard listening in Missouri.
[22:19] Speaker 5: Hi Richard, Hi you doing, doctor Handigraf.
[22:22] Speaker 2: I'm doing well, Thank you.
[22:23] Speaker 5: He Yeah, I've listened to your program for a long time.
[22:26] Speaker 5: I don't missus. Joe Harley, I got a question about,
[22:29] Speaker 5: you know, this nuclear thing that's going on with these
[22:31] Speaker 5: countries having nuclear weapons.
[22:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, And I.
[22:34] Speaker 5: Was wondering me and my nephews the other they were
[22:36] Speaker 5: going to high school and they dropped off because of
[22:38] Speaker 5: the Dalwhinian theory and all that. And he was just
[22:41] Speaker 5: talking about the teenagers and everything, and they keep asking
[22:44] Speaker 5: me about this nuclear problem. Is the more we're gonna
[22:47] Speaker 5: actually allow planet Earth to be destroyed by nuclear warfare?
[22:51] Speaker 5: Or how were you going to be saved through that?
[22:54] Speaker 2: Well? Remember that in a biblical worldview, there's no warrant
[22:58] Speaker 2: for saying that the universe will be destroyed. There is
[23:02] Speaker 2: warrant for saying that the universe will be redeemed. God
[23:06] Speaker 2: does not scrap things here redeems them. So the universe
[23:10] Speaker 2: that is now groaning in travail will be liberated from
[23:12] Speaker 2: its bondage to decay. And that's what we look forward to.
[23:16] Speaker 2: So there's a time in which the Lord will return,
[23:19] Speaker 2: and when he does, he will put all things to right.
[23:22] Speaker 2: Not only will we be resurrected, but the universe itself
[23:25] Speaker 2: will be restored, and the older things will pass away
[23:29] Speaker 2: and all things will become new. As such, the be
[23:32] Speaker 2: no more death, morning, crying or pain.
[23:34] Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why I've been telling them. They've been kind
[23:35] Speaker 5: of scared about all of this, and we were just
[23:37] Speaker 5: worried about the Earth itself, like you know, Iran, and
[23:40] Speaker 5: we got North Korea having all these nuclear warheads and
[23:43] Speaker 5: there's all scared. They just wanted to ask me, would
[23:46] Speaker 5: Christ allow the Earth to be destroyed or you know,
[23:50] Speaker 5: because it's Book A Peter, I know it says that
[23:52] Speaker 5: the elements will melting, the fervent heat and all that.
[23:56] Speaker 5: I mean, will he allow mankind to destroy our beautiful
[23:59] Speaker 5: planet again?
[24:01] Speaker 2: The answer to that question is there is certainly the
[24:04] Speaker 2: possibility of nuclear explosions or nuclear holocaust. And the reason
[24:10] Speaker 2: we can say there's the possibility of that in the
[24:12] Speaker 2: future is we've already faced that in the past. In
[24:16] Speaker 2: nineteen forty five, the American government faced a very difficult situation.
[24:22] Speaker 2: Japan was not going to realize that it was beaten.
[24:26] Speaker 2: They weren't going to surrender, and by the way, this
[24:28] Speaker 2: was for cultural reasons. They were prepared to fight to
[24:32] Speaker 2: death or commit mass suicide. So you know, the point is,
[24:37] Speaker 2: in a fallen world, God faces similar choices, and it's
[24:40] Speaker 2: easy to portray the evil that is done. It's less
[24:45] Speaker 2: easy to portray the evil that has been averted, and
[24:49] Speaker 2: that is the one that we should think about as Christians.
[24:53] Speaker 2: Christians know that God, through the Cross of Christ, took
[24:57] Speaker 2: evil upon himself and because of that has provided a
[25:01] Speaker 2: way for us to have a restoration. So the real
[25:05] Speaker 2: thing that we should worry about is not the possibility
[25:09] Speaker 2: of the nuclear holocaust. The real thing that we should
[25:12] Speaker 2: worry about is people dying every single day and in
[25:18] Speaker 2: essence facing a far more grim reality, and that is
[25:23] Speaker 2: forever being separated from the love and grace and goodness
[25:28] Speaker 2: of God. That is the horror that we face as
[25:32] Speaker 2: a real possibility if we do not embrace Jesus Christ
[25:37] Speaker 2: as Lord and Savior of our life, and we are
[25:39] Speaker 2: the ones that are called to be ambassadors for Jesus Christ. Unfortunately,
[25:43] Speaker 2: most of us have been secret agents who have never
[25:47] Speaker 2: blown or recover before the unregenerate world. Do remember that
