[0:15] Speaker 1: We're on the air because life and truth matter. The
[0:19] Speaker 1: mission of the Christian Research Institute is to equip believers
[0:22] Speaker 1: to answer life's essential questions soundly and persuasively, and to
[0:27] Speaker 1: give the reason for the hope that you have with
[0:30] Speaker 1: gentleness and respect. For more information, go online to equip

[0:40] Speaker 1: here's Bible answer Man host Hank Canagraph.
[0:43] Speaker 2: A lot of you hanging on right to the phone calls.
[0:45] Speaker 2: First up today is Bobby san Antonio, Texas. Hi, Bobby, Hello, Hank.
[0:52] Speaker 3: I'm calling regarding what you called Christophanes. I was told throughout,
[0:58] Speaker 3: you know, going to church and the Word, that nobody
[1:02] Speaker 3: can see God in the form of the Heavenly Father
[1:05] Speaker 3: without being immediately destroyed, because he's so pure that we
[1:09] Speaker 3: can't even see him without pooh. That's it. And so
[1:13] Speaker 3: those times that I've noted in the Old Testament when
[1:16] Speaker 3: he did appear several times, I now take note he
[1:20] Speaker 3: appeared as a man, and I'm wondering when he did
[1:23] Speaker 3: appear in the form as a man, if he was
[1:25] Speaker 3: in the form of Jesus. And an example was when
[1:30] Speaker 3: it said three men approached Abraham, and it was God
[1:35] Speaker 3: and two of his angels. They even sat down and
[1:37] Speaker 3: ate with him. Also there was that time it says
[1:40] Speaker 3: the Angel of God destroyed one hundred and eighty five
[1:44] Speaker 3: thousand Assyrians overnight. And the fact that was the Angel
[1:48] Speaker 3: of God, not the Angel of Death or un Angel
[1:51] Speaker 3: of God, makes me wonder if, hm, maybe that was
[1:54] Speaker 3: who he knows, Jesus, that came down and killed all
[1:57] Speaker 3: those Assyrians and the three hebrew children in the furnace.
[2:02] Speaker 3: The guards looked in and saw a fourth man amongst them,
[2:06] Speaker 3: and I wonder if maybe that was the Sun in
[2:10] Speaker 3: the flesh, helping those Hebrew children out as they were
[2:13] Speaker 3: in there, not burning. But all of these very different
[2:17] Speaker 3: would appear to be I would call them Christophanes. If
[2:21] Speaker 3: nobody can see God in the form of the heavenly Father,
[2:24] Speaker 3: so when he appeared his flesh or did these kind
[2:27] Speaker 3: of things, it makes me wonder if perhaps those two
[2:29] Speaker 3: were Christophanies. So Jesus was quite busy even in the
[2:32] Speaker 3: Old Testament times. Do you think that in these times
[2:36] Speaker 3: that God did appear in the Old Testament, if that
[2:39] Speaker 3: was in fact, Jesus.
[2:41] Speaker 2: Yes, certainly you have theophanies of the Old Testament. I
[2:44] Speaker 2: think the example you gave with the Lord and two
[2:48] Speaker 2: angels who appear on the planes of Mamra an example
[2:52] Speaker 2: of a theophany the Lord and two angels. So you
[2:54] Speaker 2: have a theophany, and you have also angelophanies. In other words,
[2:59] Speaker 2: God has the ability, the creative power to allow angels
[3:04] Speaker 2: to take form as well. And certainly when you see
[3:08] Speaker 2: the Angel of Yahweh in the Old Testament a classic
[3:13] Speaker 2: example of a christophany. It's also important in relationship your
[3:19] Speaker 2: question to recognize that we have never seen God in
[3:22] Speaker 2: his essence, but we have seen the expression of God
[3:28] Speaker 2: in his son, Jesus Christ. God has revealed himself by
[3:32] Speaker 2: a visual representation, as in Exodus thirty three when Moses
[3:36] Speaker 2: saw a form or a likeness of God. So again,
[3:41] Speaker 2: when we're told in Matthew five eight that we will
[3:44] Speaker 2: see God, also in Revelation twenty two to four, that
[3:48] Speaker 2: we will see his face, this means that we will
[3:51] Speaker 2: know Him directly in his essence, not merely as reflected
[3:57] Speaker 2: through created things. And that I think is the the
[4:00] Speaker 2: noteworthy distinction. Back to the phone lines. We'll talk next
[4:04] Speaker 2: to Ernie. He's listening in Central Point, Oregon.
[4:07] Speaker 4: Hi, Ernie, Hi, I have a question about you research
[4:15] Speaker 4: these people. I haven't heard anything about it, but the
[4:19] Speaker 4: United Church of God. They're putting out a lot of
[4:22] Speaker 4: liters here, free literature, and I won't know what cris
[4:27] Speaker 4: status of man these people.
[4:29] Speaker 2: Yeah. We've dealt with the United Church of God first
[4:33] Speaker 2: and foremost through its host in other words, as a
[4:36] Speaker 2: host group called armstrong Ism, represented by the Worldwide Church
[4:40] Speaker 2: of God. And I became directly acquainted not only with
[4:45] Speaker 2: the successor of Herbert W. Armstrong, Joseph to Kach, but
[4:49] Speaker 2: with his son, who became the pastor General of the
[4:52] Speaker 2: Worldwide Church of God after his father had died. The
[4:56] Speaker 2: wonderful part of this story is that jose his son,
[5:01] Speaker 2: and many other leading figures in the Worldwide Church of
[5:05] Speaker 2: God came out of cultism to Christ. In other words,
[5:08] Speaker 2: they recognized Armstrongism for what it was. It is a cult,
[5:13] Speaker 2: and they wanted to come out of cultism to Christ.
[5:16] Speaker 2: And we had the opportunity to spend a lot of
[5:18] Speaker 2: time with them behind the scenes as they were making
[5:20] Speaker 2: the transition because the one thing they feared the most
[5:25] Speaker 2: is splinter groups, which is to say that people would
[5:28] Speaker 2: galvanize around splinter groups as opposed to being radically transformed
[5:34] Speaker 2: as they were. In fact, I might mention that Joseph
[5:38] Speaker 2: to Kage Junior wrote a book Transformed by Truth. I
[5:41] Speaker 2: wrote the forward to that book. So he was radically transformed,
[5:45] Speaker 2: and he wanted to see other people who had bought
[5:48] Speaker 2: into the Armstrong cult to be radically transformed as well. Unfortunately,
[5:54] Speaker 2: as things typically go, they went in this circumstance as well.
[5:59] Speaker 2: There were splinter groups, and one of those splinter groups
[6:02] Speaker 2: is the United Church of God. And they hold to
[6:05] Speaker 2: all the aberrations of Armstrongism. In other words, they hold
[6:10] Speaker 2: to the false teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong. They rejected
[6:13] Speaker 2: the trinity, Christ's divinity and humanity, the person and deity
[6:17] Speaker 2: of the Holy Spirit, the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ,
[6:21] Speaker 2: and then they embrace all kinds of nonsensical notions like
[6:25] Speaker 2: Anglo Israelism, legalism, human divinity, exclusivism, and on and on
[6:31] Speaker 2: it go. So it is a splinter group of a
[6:34] Speaker 2: former cult which in essence came out of cultism to Christ. Unfortunately,
[6:41] Speaker 2: as I said, there are splinter groups and this is
[6:43] Speaker 2: one of them. I want to go back to the
[6:44] Speaker 2: phone lines, doctor Luke in Lynchburg, Virginia.
[6:47] Speaker 5: Hi, Luke, Hi there, thanks for takeing a lot callsure
[6:51] Speaker 5: a question for you. Does the Bible say anything about
[6:55] Speaker 5: the phrase being in love? And if so, what is
[6:59] Speaker 5: a bil perspective about being in love? As far as
[7:03] Speaker 5: a man and a woman.
[7:05] Speaker 2: Well as far as a man and a woman is concerned.
[7:07] Speaker 2: The Biblical perspective is that love foundationally rests on a
[7:11] Speaker 2: commitment and feelings are a result of that commitment. But
[7:16] Speaker 2: the foundation of being in love, being committed to one another,
[7:21] Speaker 2: is just that commitment. And so we don't buy into
[7:25] Speaker 2: the Hollywood version of love where love is a feeling
[7:29] Speaker 2: and feelings ebb and flow, and if that's your foundation,
[7:33] Speaker 2: you're in an ebbing and flowing circumstance, because that's exactly
[7:38] Speaker 2: what happens with feelings. Sometimes you feel you're in love
[7:40] Speaker 2: and sometimes you don't. But when you get married, you
[7:43] Speaker 2: make a commitment to honor and respect and cherish in
[7:48] Speaker 2: sickness and in health, for better or for worse, until
[7:53] Speaker 2: death do you part and therefore love is ultimately a
[7:59] Speaker 2: function of commitment. We've actually done a pretty considerable work
[8:04] Speaker 2: in the Christian Research Journal on this very question. An
[8:08] Speaker 2: article titled Reconsideration of Romantic Love might be of interest
[8:12] Speaker 2: to If you want to hang on, we can send
[8:14] Speaker 2: the article out to you. Back to the phone lines.
[8:16] Speaker 2: We'll talk to Kayla next in which you talk Kansas. Hi, Kayla, Hi.
[8:22] Speaker 6: I guess I have a timely question, because my question
[8:25] Speaker 6: is I have some friends who are I think, pretty
[8:28] Speaker 6: devout Christian. She knows the Bible well, and he says,
[8:31] Speaker 6: you know very well. And they asked me the other night,
[8:34] Speaker 6: if living together as long as you've committed yourself to
[8:38] Speaker 6: God and to Christ like we, you know, they're not
[8:41] Speaker 6: going to date other people and they are going to
[8:43] Speaker 6: commit themselves that they aren't married yet, but they're now
[8:45] Speaker 6: living together. And she asked me the other day if
[8:47] Speaker 6: I thought that got it, you know, that would be justified.
[8:50] Speaker 6: I said I didn't think so, but she said, well,
[8:53] Speaker 6: isn't a piece of paper what we have made our
[8:56] Speaker 6: law on earth?
[8:57] Speaker 2: Can you answer that? Yeah? Well, think about it from
[9:00] Speaker 2: a practical perspective. When you get married, you're involved your
[9:06] Speaker 2: husband's involved, the Church is involved, the state is involved,
[9:10] Speaker 2: and you make a commitment before God and Man that
[9:13] Speaker 2: you will honor and cherish the other person until death
[9:18] Speaker 2: do you part. So you make a commitment formally before
[9:21] Speaker 2: God and before the state, and then you're bound together.
[9:26] Speaker 2: And to get a divorce is quite something. Think about
[9:28] Speaker 2: the ramifications. All kinds of parties need to be involved
[9:31] Speaker 2: there as well. The husband, the wife, the state, and
[9:33] Speaker 2: the church need to be involved in a divorce as well.
[9:37] Speaker 2: So the point of commitment is to publicly say before
[9:43] Speaker 2: God that you are going to do something. You're making
[9:47] Speaker 2: a public confession of your love and fidelity to that person.
[9:54] Speaker 7: And stupid question if.
[9:56] Speaker 6: They don't do that in public, are they sinny?
[9:59] Speaker 2: Well? Sure, And more than that, you have a very
[10:02] Speaker 2: tenuous situation. How many people are wildly in love until
[10:08] Speaker 2: they hit the realities of life and all of a
[10:11] Speaker 2: sudden the love starts to splinter and they don't feel
[10:14] Speaker 2: so much like they're in love. If there's nothing that
[10:17] Speaker 2: binds you together, it's so easy to have used someone
[10:22] Speaker 2: and move on to someone else. In the Christian worldview,
[10:25] Speaker 2: that just isn't an option. The option is only to
[10:29] Speaker 2: cherish and honor that person for the rest of your life.
[10:33] Speaker 2: That's what empowered women in the West. By the way,
[10:36] Speaker 2: a man couldn't just put a woman away for any
[10:40] Speaker 2: or every reason. Once you're married, you have no alternatives.
[10:44] Speaker 2: So even if you have to crawl back on broken
[10:47] Speaker 2: glass after a fight with flowers in your hand, you
[10:49] Speaker 2: have to do that. That empowered women in the West.
[10:52] Speaker 2: Instead of being objectified, they were honored and cherished. Big difference.
[10:57] Speaker 2: It all starts with commitment. That commitment is not just private,
[11:01] Speaker 2: it's public. We're right back.
[11:03] Speaker 1: The famous British apologist GK. Chesterton once noted, the true
[11:08] Speaker 1: soldier fights not because he hates what is in front
[11:11] Speaker 1: of him, but because he loves what is behind him.
[11:13] Speaker 1: Because at CRII, we love what is behind us, our faith,
[11:17] Speaker 1: our families, and our freedoms. We will never retreat quietly

[15:12] Speaker 2: Back to the phone lines. We'll talk next to Ray.
[15:15] Speaker 2: He's listening in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
[15:18] Speaker 7: Hi. Ray, all right, Hank. First of all, God bless you.
[15:21] Speaker 7: Thank you so much for the work you do. You've
[15:23] Speaker 7: really helpful in a lot of gaps, so thank God
[15:26] Speaker 7: for that. My question is just to help me reconcile
[15:30] Speaker 7: the matter of praying for peace when by the same token,
[15:34] Speaker 7: we're well aware that the Bible says that the world
[15:37] Speaker 7: will continue to become increasingly less peaceful, and I'm also
[15:40] Speaker 7: aware that there can be peace in the midst of chaos,
[15:43] Speaker 7: and that could be to a certain extent what we're
[15:45] Speaker 7: praying for as well. But I just wanted your perspective
[15:48] Speaker 7: to kind of reconcile the two.
[15:50] Speaker 2: Well, A couple of things I would say first in
[15:52] Speaker 2: answering that question is that I don't think you have
[15:56] Speaker 2: to start with the presupposition that things are just going
[15:59] Speaker 2: to get worse and worse and worse. You can, however,
[16:03] Speaker 2: have the presupposition that things ebb and flow, which is
[16:07] Speaker 2: to say, there are times of great chaos and tumult,
[16:11] Speaker 2: and there are times of peace and revival. So you
[16:15] Speaker 2: can pray for God's peace, you can pray for revival.
[16:20] Speaker 2: These are the ebbs and flows of history, and they
[16:23] Speaker 2: go on like the pains of a woman in childbirth.
[16:27] Speaker 2: You don't know exactly when they're going to end. You
[16:30] Speaker 2: know that they're going to sometimes be intense and sometimes
[16:33] Speaker 2: be less intense, and therefore we pray. But I suppose
[16:38] Speaker 2: you can ask the question, why bother do anything? Why
[16:42] Speaker 2: wash your hands? If God intends to be clean, they'll
[16:45] Speaker 2: come clean without your washing them. If he doesn't, well,
[16:49] Speaker 2: they'll remain dirty. Why put on your boots, why do anything?
[16:55] Speaker 2: Their answer is God has ordained that the work we
[16:58] Speaker 2: do and the prayers we utter produce results. If you
[17:03] Speaker 2: pull out a weed, it will no longer be there.
[17:06] Speaker 2: If you drink excessively, you'll ruin your health. There is
[17:10] Speaker 2: a substantive difference between what happens is the result of
[17:12] Speaker 2: our work and what happens as a result of our prayers.
[17:15] Speaker 2: But we must recognize that our prayers do make a difference.
[17:22] Speaker 2: And while we can certainly say God knows what we
[17:25] Speaker 2: need before we even ask, our supplications are in and
[17:29] Speaker 2: of themselves an acknowledgment of our dependence on Him, And
[17:33] Speaker 2: that alone, I would say, is reason enough to pray
[17:36] Speaker 2: without ceasing.
[17:37] Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, I appreciate that that helps. Yeah, because I mean,
[17:41] Speaker 7: it's obviously a command that it's obviously something we do
[17:43] Speaker 7: as Christians. And I think maybe as you alluded to
[17:46] Speaker 7: in the start of your answer, is you know, it's
[17:49] Speaker 7: not necessarily that things are going to get with It's
[17:51] Speaker 7: just that we have a responsibility to pray and acknowledge
[17:55] Speaker 7: God in all our ways, et cetera, et cetera, And
[17:58] Speaker 7: that's essentially our obligation. I guess to a certain extent
[18:01] Speaker 7: where the world goes is really, you know, a bit
[18:04] Speaker 7: of a mood point.
[18:05] Speaker 5: I guess yeah.
[18:06] Speaker 2: But remember that in that answer I also said this
[18:09] Speaker 2: that our prayers do make a difference. We don't believe
[18:12] Speaker 2: in fatalistic determinism. We're not philosophical materialists where we think, well,
[18:18] Speaker 2: everything is determined fatalistically on the basis of brain chemistry
[18:23] Speaker 2: and genetics. No, we believe that what we do makes
[18:27] Speaker 2: a difference. And remember the fact that God knows what
[18:31] Speaker 2: is going to happen and when does not mean that
[18:34] Speaker 2: our prayers don't matter. And you can think about this
[18:37] Speaker 2: from a personal standpoint looking back at events in your life.
[18:42] Speaker 2: You can know about things that happen circumstances. In fact,
[18:45] Speaker 2: you can have almost complete or exhaustive knowledge about various
[18:49] Speaker 2: circumstances that took place. And yet you know that the
[18:54] Speaker 2: fact that you are aware of those circumstances doesn't mean
[18:57] Speaker 2: you cause them. When you think about God, he not
[19:00] Speaker 2: only can look in the rear view mirror as we can,
[19:05] Speaker 2: not exhaustively, but certainly with respect to some circumstances of
[19:08] Speaker 2: our life and things that happened in events surrounding our lives,
[19:12] Speaker 2: but God can look in both directions the rearview mirror.
[19:14] Speaker 2: He can look into the future. But the fact that
[19:17] Speaker 2: he knows does not mean that what he knows is
[19:20] Speaker 2: fatalistically determined.
[19:22] Speaker 3: Right.
[19:22] Speaker 7: I appreciate that, Thank you very much. Well, I guess
[19:25] Speaker 7: just as the word says, the effectual, priven forever. Right,
[19:27] Speaker 7: just ran a vail.
[19:28] Speaker 2: As much, Amen, it really does. And that's a very
[19:31] Speaker 2: apt remark you just made.
[19:33] Speaker 7: Appreciate that, Hank, God bless Thank.
[19:35] Speaker 2: You so much, sir, Thank you as well. Wow, that's
[19:38] Speaker 2: profound and again biblical. That's the thing we want to do.
[19:40] Speaker 2: Test all things in light the scripture. A hold fast
[19:42] Speaker 2: that which is good. Back to the phone lines, WC
[19:47] Speaker 2: in Saint Louis, Missouri, high Well.
[19:49] Speaker 3: How are you doing, Hank good?
[19:52] Speaker 7: All right, I'll like to know what's your opinion on
[19:54] Speaker 7: the Nation of Isam and Louis Kahn and.
[19:56] Speaker 5: I hang up and listen.
[19:58] Speaker 2: Okay. Well, nation of Islam is considered even by many
[20:01] Speaker 2: Islamic groups as a Islamic cult, a splendor group of Islam.
[20:07] Speaker 2: They believe that Christianity is the white man's religion, that
[20:10] Speaker 2: Jesus is not God in human flesh, that he was
[20:13] Speaker 2: a black man who did not die for our sins,
[20:17] Speaker 2: that the black man was the first race, that Allah
[20:20] Speaker 2: had sex with Mary and produced Jesus Christ. They deny
[20:25] Speaker 2: the after life, they deify Wallace Fard their founder, and
[20:30] Speaker 2: on and on it goes. It's a very dangerous racist
[20:33] Speaker 2: group in Christianity. Course, there is no such thing as
[20:37] Speaker 2: race except to run the race. Unfortunately, they are all
[20:42] Speaker 2: about racism. Let's go back to the phone lines, Devon, Orange, California.
[20:47] Speaker 9: Hi, Hi there, Yes, I just wanted to say I
[20:50] Speaker 9: kind of disagree with you about the feelings. The feeling,
[20:53] Speaker 9: I believe, is what draws you to the person who
[20:56] Speaker 9: is to be your spouse, which is the last I guess.
[21:00] Speaker 9: But you don't always get that feeling with everyone, And
[21:02] Speaker 9: so that is to let you know that that is
[21:04] Speaker 9: the person you are to be with, that you're attracted to.
[21:06] Speaker 9: It's like the pheromones. And the reason why I bring
[21:10] Speaker 9: that up about the feelings is because it's like being hungry.
[21:14] Speaker 9: When you're hungry, your body, your stomach lets you know
[21:17] Speaker 9: that you're hungry, and the only way you're going to
[21:19] Speaker 9: do it by that feeling, and then you know you
[21:21] Speaker 9: need to satisfy the hunger, so you satisfy the hunger,
[21:24] Speaker 9: then you're not hungry anymore, which is almost the same
[21:27] Speaker 9: thing as being in love with somebody. You marry them
[21:30] Speaker 9: and you're in love with them, but that love goes
[21:32] Speaker 9: away because you satisfy that connection. But when that person
[21:36] Speaker 9: is gone and away from you, you notice that you
[21:39] Speaker 9: miss them and want them back again. And I believe
[21:42] Speaker 9: that that feeling is what draws you to your soon
[21:45] Speaker 9: to be spouse, and then you get married, and as
[21:48] Speaker 9: far as living together and before marriage, that's fortification, if
[21:53] Speaker 9: I'm not mistaken, And so that's why it's wrong for
[21:56] Speaker 9: that couple to be living together without being married.
[22:00] Speaker 2: Well, first of all, let me say this. I love
[22:02] Speaker 2: it when people disagree with me, because that means that
[22:05] Speaker 2: they are thinking and they're analyzing, and they're not just
[22:08] Speaker 2: accepting what I say uncritically. So good for you. But
[22:12] Speaker 2: I in turn disagree with you. So we're going to
[22:14] Speaker 2: have a little bit of a debate here. I didn't
[22:17] Speaker 2: say that feelings aren't important. I didn't say that experiences
[22:20] Speaker 2: aren't important. What I do say, however, is that commitment
[22:25] Speaker 2: has to be the bedrock or the basis for a marriage,
[22:29] Speaker 2: because there are a lot of places you can eat.
[22:31] Speaker 2: There are a lot of places that you can satisfy
[22:33] Speaker 2: your hunger. What I'm suggesting is that in marriage there
[22:38] Speaker 2: is a commitment, and that commitment becomes what binds you together.
[22:45] Speaker 2: And I can tell you, having been married for a
[22:47] Speaker 2: long time and being the father of twelve children, that
[22:51] Speaker 2: feelings ebb and flow. There are times where I don't
[22:56] Speaker 2: feel like I'm in love with my wife. In fact,
[22:59] Speaker 2: I've said, semi humorously, I can't believe I ever married
[23:04] Speaker 2: her in the first place. You know, well, that's in
[23:06] Speaker 2: a moment of anger or a moment of where this
[23:10] Speaker 2: is the human condition. You know, maybe a joke. I'm
[23:13] Speaker 2: never gonna leave her because I'm never gonna allow her
[23:15] Speaker 2: to ruin life another man. But the point here is
[23:19] Speaker 2: to say, and I'm just joking. I'm gonna get in
[23:21] Speaker 2: trouble for this, But the point here is to say
[23:24] Speaker 2: that I'm a human being in there. Sometimes you just
[23:26] Speaker 2: don't feel like you're in love, but that doesn't mean
[23:29] Speaker 2: you're not committed to that person. And you know, two
[23:32] Speaker 2: days later you can't believe you ever thought that or
[23:34] Speaker 2: said that. I mean, there are ebbs and flows. That's
[23:37] Speaker 2: the way we are as human beings realistically, and so
[23:42] Speaker 2: there's there's a commitment that binds you together, and you
[23:46] Speaker 2: know that you're never going to leave that person. You're
[23:49] Speaker 2: always going to cherish that person, You're going to care
[23:52] Speaker 2: for that person, and you're not going to go looking
[23:56] Speaker 2: to feed your hunger somewhere else, as you describe it.
[24:00] Speaker 9: No, no, no, no. But the thing is, you don't get
[24:03] Speaker 9: that feeling with anybody else. You only get that feeling
[24:06] Speaker 9: the first time with one person.
[24:07] Speaker 2: That is my well, the only thing I would say
[24:09] Speaker 2: about that, and this is the operative statement. This is
[24:12] Speaker 2: where the caution lies. Feelings are notoriously unreliable. That's my point.
[24:21] Speaker 9: That's why I know what feelings you're having, because if
[24:24] Speaker 9: you're talking about the feeling of a touch, is a
[24:27] Speaker 9: lot different than the kind of feelings that you get
[24:30] Speaker 9: with the butterflies in your stomach. And you know what
[24:33] Speaker 9: I mean, there's different feelings. And only from my experience
[24:36] Speaker 9: have I experienced that with one person. I have not
[24:39] Speaker 9: experienced that feeling with other men except for one man,
[24:43] Speaker 9: and I believe that's what drew him away from his
[24:47] Speaker 9: parents and drew him to me. And at that point,
[24:50] Speaker 9: because you have those feelings, that is what brought you together.
[24:55] Speaker 9: That is what you need to do is finish it
[24:58] Speaker 9: off and get married.
[24:59] Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, don't have any problem with that. And once
[25:01] Speaker 2: you're married, you have that commitment.
[25:04] Speaker 9: Yeah, but the drawing together, I believe that those feelings
[25:08] Speaker 9: that I'm talking about you don't get with just anybody.
[25:13] Speaker 2: Well, I think that's true. I think that there are
[25:16] Speaker 2: special attachments and feelings you have for the person that
[25:20] Speaker 2: you marry. I'm simply saying that you want to make
[25:23] Speaker 2: sure that, as you've pointed out, you solidify that with
[25:26] Speaker 2: a commitment, because feelings are notoriously unreliable and they do
[25:30] Speaker 2: web and flow. You know, the article I was talking
[25:33] Speaker 2: to our audience about in the Christian Research Journal might
[25:36] Speaker 2: be helpful to you to read. Not that I'm necessarily
[25:39] Speaker 2: saying that I'm disagreeing with how you said what you
[25:42] Speaker 2: just said a moment ago, but the article still I
[25:44] Speaker 2: think might be worthwhile for you. It's called a Reconsideration
[25:48] Speaker 2: of Romantic Love that's available through the ministry of the
[25:50] Speaker 2: Christian Research Institute. If you hang on, we'll send it
[25:52] Speaker 2: out to you. Okay, thank you, Hey, thanks for your
