[2:56] Speaker 3: question or a health related comment as well. Again that's
[2:59] Speaker 3: dot com, all right, doctor Bob and I we believe
[3:03] Speaker 3: that your body was built to heal itself and it's
[3:06] Speaker 3: provided that you give it the right tools and stop
[3:09] Speaker 3: throwing wrenches into the machinery. So let's just stop the
[3:13] Speaker 3: guess work. Let's stop the wait and see approach that's
[3:17] Speaker 3: been failing most of our population. And this is your
[3:21] Speaker 3: hour to take control. And doctor Bob, I know that
[3:25] Speaker 3: I've been itching to get to these emails. Let's go
[3:27] Speaker 3: ahead and start with one of those. It's from Kimberly
[3:31] Speaker 3: and she asked, what are your thoughts on medications such
[3:36] Speaker 3: as Prolia for bone health.
[3:40] Speaker 4: Well, it just so happens, Kimberly, thank you for your question.
[3:44] Speaker 4: Just so happens that one of the first times that
[3:48] Speaker 4: I was asked to lecture at a medical school in
[3:51] Speaker 4: the state of Colorado, at the University of Colorado howth
[3:54] Speaker 4: Science Center, was on this very topic. And it was,
[3:59] Speaker 4: you know, is to speak with fourth year medical students
[4:05] Speaker 4: and teachers and professors on the topic of osteoporosis. And
[4:08] Speaker 4: I was honored to be asked to do that, and
[4:13] Speaker 4: in preparation for that, and before then and after that.
[4:17] Speaker 4: When you look at the enormity of osteoporosis and osteopenia
[4:23] Speaker 4: in the United States, it's so large, it's hard to
[4:26] Speaker 4: even wrap your brain around how big it is, how
[4:30] Speaker 4: serious it is to people. It is a major cause
[4:33] Speaker 4: of death. Statistics show us that about fifty percent of
[4:39] Speaker 4: all people over the age of fifty have some level
[4:42] Speaker 4: of osteoporosis or osteopenia. That means they are more susceptible
[4:48] Speaker 4: to fracture if they fall break a bone. It's a
[4:52] Speaker 4: serious cause of death in the elderly. It's a major
[4:55] Speaker 4: cause of death, and it's something to take serious. So
[4:58] Speaker 4: you don't want to discount osteoporosis. In fact, we used
[5:01] Speaker 4: to on a regular basis, myself and a team of
[5:05] Speaker 4: other physicians used to go out in communities all over
[5:08] Speaker 4: the state of Arizona and do bone density testing using DEXA,
[5:14] Speaker 4: which is the gold standard for osteoporosis testing. And we
[5:19] Speaker 4: measured bone density and we found people that had major osteoporosis,
[5:25] Speaker 4: serious levels of osteoporosi to some who completely unaware of it,
[5:29] Speaker 4: and should they take a fall, it would be you know,
[5:33] Speaker 4: they may not ever leave the hospital basically. And then
[5:37] Speaker 4: other people who had really really solid bone density and
[5:40] Speaker 4: didn't realize that we're happy to learn it. So the
[5:43] Speaker 4: key is this, as our bodies go through aging, we
[5:48] Speaker 4: basically lose everything. We lose bone tissue, we tend to
[5:51] Speaker 4: lose skin cells, we lose our hair, we lose our hormones.
[5:56] Speaker 4: The only thing we really gain with age is pretty
[5:58] Speaker 4: much flatulance or gas. You know, we just get more
[6:02] Speaker 4: gas as we get older, but that's about all. So
[6:05] Speaker 4: you want to take bone health seriously. And the way
[6:09] Speaker 4: that I tell people how to help this is look
[6:12] Speaker 4: at other cultures who don't have as much osteoporosis as
[6:15] Speaker 4: we do in the world. And these people, you look
[6:18] Speaker 4: at their lifestyle, you see that they exercise and get
[6:21] Speaker 4: weight bearing exercise. They eat well, they don't smoke cigarettes,
[6:25] Speaker 4: they don't drink carbonated beverages, and they get a variety
[6:29] Speaker 4: of foods in their diet, especially foods that are high
[6:31] Speaker 4: in mineral content. What are those, well, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legomes,
[6:38] Speaker 4: and there are other things. Here in the United States,
[6:40] Speaker 4: osteoporosis is epidemic partly because of the lifestyle that we
[6:44] Speaker 4: live and they poor nutrition that we take in and
[6:47] Speaker 4: the fact that we're sedentary. So in medicine, the drug
[6:52] Speaker 4: Prolea that you mention is certainly an option. It's a therapy.
[6:57] Speaker 4: But when a doctor pribes a drug, my first recommendation
[7:02] Speaker 4: to a patient is go look at the side effects
[7:05] Speaker 4: of that drug and see if that's really what you
[7:06] Speaker 4: want to do. Because when you look at Prola and
[7:09] Speaker 4: all the other drugs in the bysphosphonate area, you see
[7:12] Speaker 4: that one of the side effects is osteonocrosis of the jaw.
[7:16] Speaker 4: If you ever had to have a demo Procedu're done
[7:18] Speaker 4: and you were on this prolea for any period of time,
[7:22] Speaker 4: your jaw may deteriorate, it may die, and then when
[7:26] Speaker 4: the doctor goes take the tooth out of your mandible
[7:30] Speaker 4: an extraction, the whole jaw comes apart and it's a disaster,
[7:34] Speaker 4: a potential disaster. So this drug is certainly one that's used.
[7:39] Speaker 4: It wouldn't be something I would say. I'd say, find
[7:41] Speaker 4: a way to get your lifestyle under control, get the
[7:43] Speaker 4: exercise of the diet, and then start taking nutrients to
[7:46] Speaker 4: resupply the body with vitamin D three, K two, magnesium, zinc, strontium,
[7:53] Speaker 4: boron and other nutrients like that, and then check your
[7:57] Speaker 4: hormone system because when the hormones are out of balance,
[7:59] Speaker 4: that can all impact your bone health. So it is
[8:02] Speaker 4: a very wide topic. And if you know somebody who's
[8:06] Speaker 4: dialed into this, a chiropractic physician who's had training and nutrition,
[8:11] Speaker 4: nature pathic physician, holistic mdd O, somebody in homeopathy, these
[8:16] Speaker 4: people are aware of all the things I'm talking about.
[8:18] Speaker 4: And the sooner you get to that kind of a
[8:21] Speaker 4: person for a true second opinion, the better off you're
[8:24] Speaker 4: going to be, as opposed to just take thinking that
[8:26] Speaker 4: prolea is going to solve the problem, it may actually
[8:29] Speaker 4: create a nightmare for you in the end.
[8:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, doctor Bob. And this is a great question because
[8:35] Speaker 3: bone health is one of the most misunder understood areas
[8:40] Speaker 3: in modern medicine. That's if we're talking about what prolea
[8:44] Speaker 3: actually is. You know, it's the prescription injection that's given
[8:48] Speaker 3: every six months to treat osteoporosis. And this is in
[8:53] Speaker 3: postmenopausal women or even in men that have taken long
[8:57] Speaker 3: term steroids. So it works by targeting that pathway that
[9:02] Speaker 3: that breaks down bone especially, you know, essentially basically turning
[9:06] Speaker 3: off the cells that eat away at that bone tissue
[9:09] Speaker 3: which you mentioned with the necrosis. And so you know,
[9:12] Speaker 3: on on paper you're looking at this and you're thinking, well,
[9:15] Speaker 3: is this going to be less bone loss and fewer fractures? Well,
[9:20] Speaker 3: guess maybe, you know, the short term clinical studies show
[9:24] Speaker 3: that that. But again, you know, if we're if we're
[9:27] Speaker 3: looking at it from a natural medicine perspective, this whole
[9:31] Speaker 3: scenario is a red flag. Any therapy that requires you
[9:35] Speaker 3: to stay dependent to avoid the crisis situation, it deserves
[9:39] Speaker 3: a careful thought. So if you're considering prolea, this must
[9:44] Speaker 3: be part of a tailored plan that Doctor Bob was
[9:47] Speaker 3: talking about, addressing the hormone balance and the vitamin D
[9:50] Speaker 3: levels in the in the gut absorption, and then we
[9:53] Speaker 3: need to talk about kidney health and lifestyle factors. That
[9:56] Speaker 3: is what truly determines long term bone strength. So again,
[10:01] Speaker 3: here's what we know to support that bone formation, not
[10:04] Speaker 3: just bone density, resistance, exercise, balanced training to prevent falls,
[10:10] Speaker 3: adequate protein, collagen, vitamin D three and K two, magnesium,
[10:16] Speaker 3: you know, all these things that doctor Bob talked about,
[10:19] Speaker 3: and the trades minerals like boron and silica. So remember
[10:24] Speaker 3: that the stress, the inflammation, the acid forming diets, this
[10:28] Speaker 3: is all what erodes that bone health. And that's so
[10:31] Speaker 3: no injection is going to fix that. So again, it
[10:34] Speaker 3: may be appropriate for high risk individuals under close supervision,
[10:38] Speaker 3: but it's not a fundamental replacement for bone health. All right, Well,
[10:43] Speaker 3: great question, Kimberly, and I hope that answers that for you.

[12:42] Speaker 3: eight two two. Okay, Doctor Bob. We're answering caller questions today,
[12:46] Speaker 3: call calling questions, email questions, all the above, and next up,
[12:50] Speaker 3: we have a caller question from from Dean in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Oh,
[12:57] Speaker 3: Doctor Bob, my name is Dean from that Springs, ark
[13:01] Speaker 3: Top and sixteen years ago I had a heart attack.
[13:06] Speaker 3: It had two skits put in, and I'm just wondering
[13:11] Speaker 3: how often should I hit my doctor check these stents?
[13:17] Speaker 5: Thanks?
[13:18] Speaker 3: Okay, So Dean, that's a great question, and it's a
[13:22] Speaker 3: good topic to bring up because it's it's really it's
[13:25] Speaker 3: something that many heart patients wander about years after they've
[13:29] Speaker 3: had those stints placed. So doctor Bob, I'm gonna go
[13:33] Speaker 3: ahead and let you start with this.
[13:35] Speaker 4: All right, Well, I've teated many patients who have had
[13:38] Speaker 4: stints in my practice career. Stints can be life saving,
[13:43] Speaker 4: and they have saved many, many lives, So they're an emergency.
[13:47] Speaker 4: I look at them as a sort of a stopgap measure,
[13:52] Speaker 4: but nonetheless important, an important part of emergency medicine and
[13:58] Speaker 4: the management of a heart disease patient. But it doesn't
[14:03] Speaker 4: go beyond management. It certainly doesn't address the reason why
[14:07] Speaker 4: this person's arteries were clogged up or got clogged up
[14:11] Speaker 4: with ashorosclerosis, lacking, or clots. It doesn't address any of that.
[14:17] Speaker 4: In fact, there's been many studies here in the United States,
[14:20] Speaker 4: doctor Brogman, as you know, that have shown that stints
[14:25] Speaker 4: are done way too often. In fact, they were rising, rising, rising,
[14:29] Speaker 4: and finally somebody said, hey, why are so many people
[14:33] Speaker 4: having these stint surgeries. These cardiac surgeons are making a
[14:38] Speaker 4: lot of money, and yet we're not reducing these risks
[14:41] Speaker 4: in the long term for these patients. And then finally,
[14:44] Speaker 4: I think they were able to figure out that yes,
[14:47] Speaker 4: way too many stint operations were occurring, and that they
[14:52] Speaker 4: have curtailed them or at least cut them back. But
[14:55] Speaker 4: nonetheless they're still important. But this doesn't address the underlying
[15:00] Speaker 4: reason why a person like Dean developed heart disease in
[15:05] Speaker 4: the first place, which is really all about, you know,
[15:08] Speaker 4: his lifestyle, what he ate during his life, what he's eating,
[15:14] Speaker 4: how much exercise he's getting, how much stress he's under,
[15:17] Speaker 4: does he smoke. Things like that need to be considered.
[15:21] Speaker 4: Questions asked and answered. Usually they're not. They're usually Okay,
[15:26] Speaker 4: you've had a stint. We saved your life. Great, Now
[15:30] Speaker 4: come back and every once in a while we'll get
[15:32] Speaker 4: you checked up. And he should. He should have regular
[15:35] Speaker 4: medical tests because stints don't last forever. I think last
[15:38] Speaker 4: time I looked at it, like the average like eight
[15:40] Speaker 4: to fifteen years or something, some less, some more. But
[15:43] Speaker 4: it doesn't address the underlying reason why he clogged his
[15:47] Speaker 4: arteries in the first place. And that gets back to inflammation.
[15:51] Speaker 4: It's all about inflammation. It's not about cholesterol. The cholesterol
[15:54] Speaker 4: myth has been busted. Finally there the medical profession is
[15:57] Speaker 4: that coming to Jesus moment where they knew the cholesterol
[16:01] Speaker 4: cholesterol loarding drug statins have been a total farce the
[16:04] Speaker 4: whole time. They don't reduce anybody dying over the long haul.
[16:09] Speaker 4: So what do you do? Well, You first test the
[16:12] Speaker 4: person to find out other factors that can give you
[16:16] Speaker 4: information as to whether that person is at risk. These
[16:20] Speaker 4: are tests that do not get done usually in a
[16:23] Speaker 4: medical setting. And what tests I'm talking about are simple
[16:26] Speaker 4: blood tests like TMAO which was discovered a Cleveland clinic
[16:30] Speaker 4: to be able to determine who's that risk of heart
[16:32] Speaker 4: disease TMAO. Write it down so you have that in
[16:36] Speaker 4: your pocket so you can ask your doctor to perform
[16:39] Speaker 4: it the next time, and while he's at it or
[16:40] Speaker 4: she's at it, asks them to run your homocysteine level
[16:44] Speaker 4: and your cardiosensitive C reactive protein and your small particle cholesterol.
[16:49] Speaker 4: These are things that need to be done, absolutely need
[16:52] Speaker 4: to be done to assess your risk. And then once
[16:55] Speaker 4: they find out that these numbers are either good or bad.
[16:58] Speaker 4: If they're bad, the cardiologist or your internist or your
[17:02] Speaker 4: general MD needs to refer you to a competent clinical nutritionist,
[17:09] Speaker 4: nature path, chiropractic physician, homeopathic physician, somebody who understands a
[17:15] Speaker 4: lifestyle medicine, somebody who understands preventive healthcare, somebody understands holistic
[17:19] Speaker 4: health care and can guide you along the line and
[17:22] Speaker 4: tell you how you got to where you're at and
[17:24] Speaker 4: how to reverse it. Yes, you can reverse heart disease.
[17:27] Speaker 4: Look at Nathan Prittikin's work, look at many of doctor
[17:31] Speaker 4: John McDougall. There are many doctors who have proven you
[17:35] Speaker 4: can reverse heart disease through diet and exercise and lowering
[17:38] Speaker 4: your stress and nutritional supplementation. And ultimately it's your choice.
[17:43] Speaker 4: You want to manage the problem or reverse the problem.
[17:46] Speaker 4: You want to cure the problem or just kick the
[17:48] Speaker 4: can down the road waiting for the next crisis. Your choice.
[17:51] Speaker 4: Along the line, you should learn about a study. Many
[17:55] Speaker 4: studies have been done about reversal of heart disease using
[17:58] Speaker 4: age garlic extract. Use CLA. Doctor Budolph has proven by
[18:04] Speaker 4: taking kyolic age garlic extract you can actually not only
[18:08] Speaker 4: stop the progression of the placking of the arteries, you
[18:11] Speaker 4: can actually reverse it. Look it up. Kyolic aged garlic
[18:16] Speaker 4: extract something that has over seven hundred different studies on
[18:19] Speaker 4: it in medical text and so heart disease, yes, it's
[18:24] Speaker 4: the number one killer, but it is something that absolutely
[18:27] Speaker 4: can be helped, not just managed, but reversed if you
[18:31] Speaker 4: can get to the right type of care.
[18:34] Speaker 3: All right, great, great information, doctor Bob, and I want
[18:37] Speaker 3: to start with a little perspective, you know, the coronary.
[18:40] Speaker 3: The stints are their tiny mesh tubes if you will,
[18:44] Speaker 3: that help help keep the arteries open after a heart
[18:47] Speaker 3: attack or such, you know, like doctor Bob mentioned, with
[18:52] Speaker 3: a lifestyle Once once those stints have healed into the
[18:57] Speaker 3: artery wall, usually after several months, they and to remain
[19:01] Speaker 3: stable for years. And so we're talking about here sixteen
[19:05] Speaker 3: years later. The metal itself in the stint is probably
[19:09] Speaker 3: isn't the main concern. It's the condition of your the
[19:12] Speaker 3: rest of your cardiovascular system that is that bigger concern,
[19:16] Speaker 3: which doctor Bob mentioned in detail. Most cardiologists agree that
[19:21] Speaker 3: there's there's no need for routine imaging or stress testing
[19:25] Speaker 3: at set intervals just to just to check up on
[19:29] Speaker 3: these old stints, so to speak, unless you're having symptoms.
[19:34] Speaker 3: What matters most is how you feel. If you have
[19:37] Speaker 3: new chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, or decreased exercise
[19:43] Speaker 3: tolerance as showing up, that's your your cue to check in. Otherwise,
[19:48] Speaker 3: a yearly visit with your cardioologists, your primary care physician.
[19:53] Speaker 3: That's that's the standard here. During during that check up,
[19:57] Speaker 3: you'll get assessed for your overall health. The blood pressure,
[20:02] Speaker 3: cholesterol levels, blood sugar EKGs, you know sometimes the stress test.
[20:07] Speaker 3: Those are what we're talking about there. But from a
[20:10] Speaker 3: proactive or natural medicine approach, that's where that's where we're
[20:15] Speaker 3: going to give you some more indication on what you
[20:18] Speaker 3: can do to improve, prove, and prevent. Even though their
[20:23] Speaker 3: stents may be doing their job, your arteries still need
[20:25] Speaker 3: nourishment and protection every day. That means that need to
[20:29] Speaker 3: have those those lifestyle choices that Mediterranean style or a
[20:33] Speaker 3: plant forward type of diet and in thirty minutes is
[20:37] Speaker 3: the bare minimum of movement most days, and ways to
[20:41] Speaker 3: reduce your stress and obviously not smoking. And the nutritional
[20:45] Speaker 3: support that doctor Bob gave was spot on and I
[20:49] Speaker 3: can help to reduce that inflammation and protect the vessel
[20:52] Speaker 3: lining the omega three fatty acids, magnesium, coenzyme Q ten, antioxidants,
[20:59] Speaker 3: vitamin C find them an e that all needs to
[21:02] Speaker 3: be part of that discussion. And then doctor Bob mentioned
[21:05] Speaker 3: Kyolic age garlic extract that is they have several different
[21:09] Speaker 3: cardiovascular formulas. That is something to look at you can
[21:12] Speaker 3: you can do look at their website which is Kyolic
[21:15] Speaker 3: dot com k Yo L I C dot com that
[21:20] Speaker 3: can give you some of the information on the research.
[21:22] Speaker 3: It's readily available at most finer health food stores throughout
[21:26] Speaker 3: the country. But besides that, you know, your bottom line
[21:30] Speaker 3: is those stints don't require special routine imaging unless your
[21:34] Speaker 3: symptoms are changing. So think about the checkups, think about
[21:38] Speaker 3: your wellness overall. Those are the ways to stay consistent
[21:41] Speaker 3: with that lifestyle and work closely with a doctor who
[21:44] Speaker 3: looks at both medical and nutritional angles. All right, doctor Bob,
[21:48] Speaker 3: We've got to take a short break. We'll be right back.
[21:50] Speaker 3: You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Are you

[22:43] Speaker 3: at eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.
[22:45] Speaker 3: Again it's eight hundred six zero six eight eight.
[22:48] Speaker 5: Two to two.
[22:49] Speaker 3: All right, doctor Bob, let's get back into our email questions.
[22:53] Speaker 3: And if in folks listening, if you want to submit
[22:56] Speaker 3: your email question, you can just go to our website,
[23:00] Speaker 3: which is doctor Bob dot com and just click right
[23:03] Speaker 3: there on the homepage to fill out a short form
[23:08] Speaker 3: and give your question to us to answer. But doctor Bob,
[23:11] Speaker 3: so Melanie, she is asking, is there a safe way
[23:15] Speaker 3: to help improve sexual desire after menopause?
[23:20] Speaker 4: Absolutely there is. Not all women experience that, and women
[23:24] Speaker 4: who do experience it typically there's something that's out of balance,
[23:29] Speaker 4: and that's something that's out of balance. Could be mental, emotional,
[23:34] Speaker 4: it could be physical, it could be chemical, could be environmental.
[23:38] Speaker 4: There's all kinds of different factors that can affect our
[23:42] Speaker 4: hormone system and our physiology. So it's a good idea,
[23:48] Speaker 4: first of all, to come at something like this in
[23:52] Speaker 4: a conservative manner, which means this is not a life
[23:56] Speaker 4: threatening situation by any stretch of the imagination. So if
[24:00] Speaker 4: you go to your allopathic doctor doctors who prescribe and
[24:05] Speaker 4: recommend pharmaceutical drugs, you're probably gonna get a drug. It's
[24:09] Speaker 4: kind of like, you know, asking you know what you're
[24:13] Speaker 4: gonna get. If you put a hammer in a carpenter's hand,
[24:16] Speaker 4: you're gonna get nailed. There's gonna everything's a nail.
[24:20] Speaker 6: So I suggest that for this particular condition you find
[24:25] Speaker 6: like a licensed nature pathic physician or chiropractic physician, or
[24:31] Speaker 6: somebody who understands functional medicine integrative care, so that they
[24:36] Speaker 6: can say to you, look, it could be just a
[24:39] Speaker 6: slight imbalance of some sort, and start asking questions like,
[24:45] Speaker 6: how is your stress.
[24:45] Speaker 4: In life right now? Have you noticed lately that there's
[24:48] Speaker 4: been more stress on you than usual? Are you sleeping well?
[24:53] Speaker 4: Are you trusting your mate? Are you getting regular exercise?
[24:58] Speaker 4: These are all key factors. And if all of those
[25:01] Speaker 4: are in good shape and nothing's really changed, then we say, well, yeah,
[25:04] Speaker 4: you know, everybody's hormone system as we age starts to
[25:07] Speaker 4: go down, and perhaps yours has gone down more so
[25:12] Speaker 4: than others and may require some rebalancing. All right, So
[25:16] Speaker 4: then how do you do that well? You take a
[25:17] Speaker 4: saliva sample, you ask the patient to come to the office,
[25:21] Speaker 4: you give them a kit, or you send the kit
[25:23] Speaker 4: to them. They spit in these tiny vials. It goes
[25:27] Speaker 4: to a licensed, regulated laboratory. That laboratory does this very
[25:32] Speaker 4: very sensitive salid ary hormone test, which is better than
[25:35] Speaker 4: blood testing, more sensitive than blood testing, and it shows
[25:40] Speaker 4: three different estrogens, her progesterone, her testosterone, her dh EA,
[25:46] Speaker 4: and other things, so that we can measure precisely where
[25:50] Speaker 4: the imbalance is. And we often find that it's a
[25:54] Speaker 4: mixed bag. It could be low estrogen, it could be
[25:57] Speaker 4: low progesterone, it could be a combination of low estrogen
[26:00] Speaker 4: and progesterone. It can even be low testosterone. But having
[26:04] Speaker 4: a roadmap is a good way to go about it. Now,
[26:07] Speaker 4: if you don't want to do that, there's also ways
[26:10] Speaker 4: you can go around that. It's sort of a quick fix,
[26:14] Speaker 4: but it may solve the problem. And go to the
[26:15] Speaker 4: health food store and look for some herbs that have
[26:19] Speaker 4: been historically used to increase libido in women. And you say, well,
[26:24] Speaker 4: what are those, doctor, Bob, Well, they're very common to
[26:27] Speaker 4: people at the health food store is very knowledge about this.
[26:30] Speaker 4: We're talking about maca root, we're talking about tribulus fin
[26:36] Speaker 4: you Greek red ginsing. There's lots of herbs that will
[26:41] Speaker 4: stimulate and provide what are called plant based hormones, which
[26:46] Speaker 4: are bioidentical to your own versus the stuff that is
[26:50] Speaker 4: given out in the pharmacy. The pharmacy certainly can provide
[26:55] Speaker 4: you with drugs estrogen, but there's a lot of risk
[26:59] Speaker 4: that are associated with them, and in the past there's
[27:01] Speaker 4: been a lot of concern about increasing the risk of
[27:05] Speaker 4: the big CEA with these drugs. Over time, it's gone
[27:09] Speaker 4: back and forth, back and forth, and I think it's risky,
[27:13] Speaker 4: especially if you have conservative measures that are available to you.
[27:17] Speaker 4: So always go conservative in non life threatening situations. Usually
[27:21] Speaker 4: this involves lifestyle, diet and a little adjustment in the
[27:24] Speaker 4: botanical area, and most women will come out of that
[27:27] Speaker 4: and be right back to where they need to be
[27:29] Speaker 4: and want to be.
[27:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's all great information, doctor Bob. And this
[27:34] Speaker 3: is an important question. And I really like that Melanie
[27:38] Speaker 3: asked this out loud or well through email in this case,
[27:42] Speaker 3: because that sexual desire after menopause, it's one of you know,
[27:47] Speaker 3: a lot of people just don't like to talk about
[27:48] Speaker 3: it when we're talking about women's health. So if we
[27:51] Speaker 3: start with that truth, the changes in libido after menopause,
[27:55] Speaker 3: that's completely normal. Declining estrogen and testostere own levels, the
[28:01] Speaker 3: vaginal dryness, the stress, the sleep issues, and sometimes even
[28:05] Speaker 3: relationship dynamics, they all play this role. But normal doesn't
[28:10] Speaker 3: mean that you have to accept it and that it's unchangeable.
[28:15] Speaker 3: So if we reclaim that body's natural rhythm, that drop
[28:19] Speaker 3: in estrogen during menopause, it can reduce the blood flow
[28:24] Speaker 3: and sensitivity, and that decline in testosterone we consider that
[28:28] Speaker 3: like a spark type of hormone for both sex, as
[28:32] Speaker 3: a male and female, that can start to dull the desire.
[28:36] Speaker 3: So one of the safest first steps in restoring that
[28:39] Speaker 3: hormonal balance naturally, I'm talking about supporting the body's own hormone,
[28:45] Speaker 3: the communication through lifestyle and food and sometimes that plant
[28:49] Speaker 3: based therapy. So regular movement, especially resistance training, has been
[28:55] Speaker 3: shown to raise testosterone and growth hormone levels naturally, and
[28:58] Speaker 3: then if you add enough sl you're already halfway there.
[29:02] Speaker 3: Because your libido strongly depends on energy in adrenal balance.
[29:07] Speaker 3: So now if we're talking about the vaginal dryness and discomfort,
[29:11] Speaker 3: which are major libido killers. Tried non hormonal moisturizers or
[29:17] Speaker 3: lubricants made with natural ingredients like hyaluronic acid or vitamin
[29:22] Speaker 3: e or coconut oil. And as doctor Bob said, if needed,
[29:26] Speaker 3: discuss bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. These are These are those
[29:30] Speaker 3: carefully dose plant derived estrogen and progesterone that mimic what
[29:37] Speaker 3: your body produces naturally. These these these forms, when monitored,
[29:42] Speaker 3: are much gentler than synthetic hormones of the of the
[29:46] Speaker 3: past that can reignite that uh. These these biodentical hormones
[29:51] Speaker 3: reignite the energy, the mood and also hopefully in this case,
[29:55] Speaker 3: the intimacy. So so again, if we're we're talking about
[29:59] Speaker 3: the mind by East side of things, stress or fatigue
[30:03] Speaker 3: can quiet that desire faster than any hormone shift. And
[30:07] Speaker 3: I suggest also sometimes we need to look at restoring
[30:11] Speaker 3: emotional connection UH with with our partners, maybe through relaxation
[30:16] Speaker 3: or mindfulness or simply open communication. Sometimes desire follows that
[30:22] Speaker 3: that closeness, and then and then finally those adaptagen herbs
[30:27] Speaker 3: like like maka root and and tribulus Oshwagandha. They have
[30:32] Speaker 3: demonstrated the libido enhancing benefits by supporting that adrenal resilience
[30:37] Speaker 3: and then that that circulation. So yes, the libido can
[30:40] Speaker 3: return and even blossom at any stage of life. All right,
[30:45] Speaker 3: Doctor Bob, we got to take a short a short break.
[30:47] Speaker 3: We'll be right back with more of the listener's questions.

[33:53] Speaker 3: seven at doctor bob dot com. All right, Doctor Bob,
[33:56] Speaker 3: let's get back to the to the caller hotline with
[33:59] Speaker 3: a question from Dave and Iowa.
[34:04] Speaker 8: Yeah, this is Dave from the Cocon Iowa, and I
[34:08] Speaker 8: just wondered what doctor Rob Martin thinks about dog workers
[34:14] Speaker 8: stuff for fighting cancer, and I guess I would just
[34:20] Speaker 8: appreciate any thoughts on that what he thinks about it.
[34:23] Speaker 3: So thank you. Okay, doctor Bob.
[34:29] Speaker 4: Maccada, Iowa very familiar. I used to be an amateur boxer.
[34:33] Speaker 4: I boxed in that city as well as all over
[34:35] Speaker 4: the state of Iowa. Dave, thank you for the call.
[34:39] Speaker 4: This question comes up frequently because there's a lot of
[34:42] Speaker 4: influencers on the Internet who talk about all these deworming drugs,
[34:48] Speaker 4: repurpose deworming drugs. Some of them are really good. I
[34:52] Speaker 4: rem actin and mendzvenal and all these different drugs that
[34:57] Speaker 4: have been repurposed for not just you know, veterinarian deworming
[35:01] Speaker 4: of animals, but also for taking of humans. There's been
[35:05] Speaker 4: Nobel Prize one on them, so there's validity. However, we've
[35:11] Speaker 4: had hold Of Clark on this radio show. Hold Of
[35:15] Speaker 4: Clark was a botanical herbal expert wrote books about how
[35:22] Speaker 4: there's a connection between parasites and the treating of parasites
[35:27] Speaker 4: and cancer. Of course, she was way ahead of her time,
[35:30] Speaker 4: and the medical profession attacked her as a quack, a Charlatan,
[35:33] Speaker 4: you know, selling snake oil. Now they're all chasing her cure,
[35:38] Speaker 4: which is really affecting the metabolism of the cancer cell
[35:43] Speaker 4: by virtue of the same chemistry that is used in
[35:47] Speaker 4: these dewormer drugs. But in her case, she wasn't pitching
[35:51] Speaker 4: the drugs. She was pitching certain botanical certain herbs. Which
[35:54] Speaker 4: many of the drugs that we have in circulation today,
[35:59] Speaker 4: of goodly number of them come from botanical drugs and
[36:02] Speaker 4: they're eventually synthesized and made through petrochemicals so they can
[36:06] Speaker 4: roll out and scale it up. And in her case,
[36:09] Speaker 4: she was talking about wormwood oil. She taught me about
[36:12] Speaker 4: wormwood oil early in my practice years back in the
[36:16] Speaker 4: late seventies early eighties. She talked about black walnut extract,
[36:21] Speaker 4: She talked about oregano clove. These are drugs, or not drugs.
[36:25] Speaker 4: These are botanicals, natural medicines that affect the same enzymatic
[36:30] Speaker 4: pathway as ivermectin and these other drugs you're hearing about
[36:34] Speaker 4: by these influencers all over the internet today. Now, certainly
[36:40] Speaker 4: these drugs are safe when used appropriately. I think they
[36:44] Speaker 4: have their efficacious for cancer, but they're not the whole story.
[36:48] Speaker 4: I mean, you think you can just you know, treat
[36:50] Speaker 4: cancer patients with deworming drugs. You're missing the message here.
[36:55] Speaker 4: Cancer is a very complicated disease. You need to look
[36:59] Speaker 4: at it holistic. That means mind, body, spirit, physical, chemical, emotional,
[37:05] Speaker 4: environmental All of that needs to be considered. Not just
[37:09] Speaker 4: go out and get a prescription de wormer drug and
[37:12] Speaker 4: call it a day and start swallowing the paste or
[37:14] Speaker 4: the pill or the potion or the powder. No, you
[37:17] Speaker 4: need to plug in diet, you need to plug in exercise,
[37:20] Speaker 4: you need to plug in lowering your stress. All of
[37:23] Speaker 4: that needs to be considered. And yes, you can use
[37:27] Speaker 4: certain things that affect the cancer pathway. You got to
[37:30] Speaker 4: get people away from sugar and glutamine to begin with.
[37:34] Speaker 4: They got to get off their sugar, because that's what
[37:36] Speaker 4: cancer sells love. They love sugar, they love glutamine, They
[37:40] Speaker 4: love people who are under stress, they love people who smoke.
[37:42] Speaker 4: They allow themselves to proliferate that way and expand. It's
[37:46] Speaker 4: the immune system. The thrashing of the immune system over time.
[37:50] Speaker 4: There's always a mental component and emotional component. So you
[37:53] Speaker 4: look at the big picture, and to do that, you
[37:56] Speaker 4: need to find a clinic that deals with this holistically,
[38:00] Speaker 4: a clinic that can look at the entire picture, not
[38:03] Speaker 4: just give anti parasitic drugs. That's a good approach, certainly
[38:07] Speaker 4: better than chemotherapy, because chemotherapy might render you like maybe
[38:11] Speaker 4: a three percent result at the most. Meanwhile, you know
[38:15] Speaker 4: your life is upside down. Your quality of life is
[38:18] Speaker 4: in the drash. You're losing your hair, losing your stomach,
[38:21] Speaker 4: everything else. So holism with respect to a chronic disease
[38:25] Speaker 4: like cancer is the best way to go. But I'm
[38:28] Speaker 4: not against anti parasitic drugs or the botanicals are the equivalent,
[38:33] Speaker 4: But big picture here is the key.
[38:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, great information, doctor Bob. And here's my advice
[38:40] Speaker 3: to not experiment with animal medications. Instead, work with an
[38:45] Speaker 3: integrative oncologist or a natural medicine doctor that's experienced in
[38:50] Speaker 3: metabolic in immune based therapies. So, if you're drawing to
[38:53] Speaker 3: something like dog de wormers because it represents hope, direct
[38:58] Speaker 3: that energy towards therapies that are both hopeful and proven,
[39:02] Speaker 3: say for humans. And if you do have cancer, or
[39:06] Speaker 3: are concerned, or have a family member that has cancer,
[39:10] Speaker 3: please give us a call because we know of some
[39:13] Speaker 3: promising options that we can set a referral for. Again,
[39:18] Speaker 3: our hotline is eight hundred six zero six eight eight
[39:21] Speaker 3: two two. Again it's eight hundred and six zero six
[39:24] Speaker 3: eight eight two two. And so in short, yes, the
[39:26] Speaker 3: story of dog de Warmer raising raises some and interesting
[39:31] Speaker 3: scientific questions, but it's a not do it yourself type
[39:35] Speaker 3: of cancer plan. Let the researchers do their work in
[39:39] Speaker 3: the meantime. Fuel your body with nutrition, movement, detoxification, and
[39:44] Speaker 3: faith in your body's God given ability to heal itself.
[39:48] Speaker 3: All right, Doctor Bob, we got to take a short break,
[39:50] Speaker 3: and folks, you're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
