[1:58] Speaker 2: is what I want to promise our listeners right up front.

[2:32] Speaker 2: hundred six zero six eight eight two two. Or you
[2:36] Speaker 2: can drop us a line through our website, which is
[2:39] Speaker 2: Healthtalkamerica dot com. That's Healthtalkamerica dot com, or by calling
[2:44] Speaker 2: our toll free hotline, which is eight hundred six zero
[2:47] Speaker 2: six eight eight two two. Doctor Bob, before we get
[2:51] Speaker 2: to the mail bag, I have something to ask you,
[2:56] Speaker 2: because you've been doing this longer than anyone in health media,
[3:01] Speaker 2: and you've watched more health movements rise and fall than
[3:05] Speaker 2: most people ever remember existing. So we're roughly a year
[3:10] Speaker 2: into the MAHA movement. Now we're talking about the Make
[3:13] Speaker 2: America Healthy Again movement. There have been real wins, the mercury,
[3:19] Speaker 2: the dental fillings finally getting phased out, the psychiatric over
[3:24] Speaker 2: prescribing in kids is finally getting scrutinized. And there have
[3:29] Speaker 2: been some stumbles, some court challenges, agencies that drag their feet,
[3:35] Speaker 2: which is to be expected. So, doctor Bob, from where
[3:38] Speaker 2: you sit, having watched health policy cycles come and go
[3:43] Speaker 2: for decades, is this one different? Is there something that
[3:47] Speaker 2: is different about this movement or are we watching the
[3:51] Speaker 2: same pattern repeat itself.
[3:54] Speaker 3: I think it's different, and I'm optimistic. I'm optimistic because
[3:59] Speaker 3: I have the sense that what is going on is
[4:03] Speaker 3: for the benefit of people and patients and the public
[4:07] Speaker 3: in general as opposed to the benefiting of pharmaceutical companies
[4:11] Speaker 3: and the incomes of doctors. I think it's with what
[4:16] Speaker 3: the Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior
[4:19] Speaker 3: is doing is based on really the good of humanity
[4:25] Speaker 3: as opposed to some economic benefit. And so I'm really
[4:31] Speaker 3: stoked over because when you hear somebody talking about the
[4:34] Speaker 3: very topics that I have covered on this radio show
[4:37] Speaker 3: for thirty years, and people, you know, way back when
[4:41] Speaker 3: when I started this doctor Brockman up to probably about
[4:44] Speaker 3: ten years ago, you know, they some of the topics
[4:48] Speaker 3: that we covered, including some of the ones you just mentioned,
[4:51] Speaker 3: you know, mercury and teeth, why it's bad to drink
[4:55] Speaker 3: fluoridated water out of your tap, vaccines in general, those
[5:00] Speaker 3: kinds of topics are the ones that I had no
[5:03] Speaker 3: problem tackling because that was right in my wheelhouse.
[5:06] Speaker 2: That was my.
[5:07] Speaker 3: Belief system to begin with. It was my lifestyle. It's
[5:10] Speaker 3: how I raised my family of six children. No vaccines,
[5:15] Speaker 3: no mercury, no toxins, eating healthy food, positive mental attitudes,
[5:21] Speaker 3: all the things that are required to have health and longevity,
[5:26] Speaker 3: and our medical costs in a given year was zero dollars.
[5:30] Speaker 3: Because I basically taught my children how to become their
[5:34] Speaker 3: own best doctors most of the time, just like we
[5:37] Speaker 3: do the listeners of this radio show, and that when
[5:40] Speaker 3: you violate your body, there are consequences. And so they
[5:44] Speaker 3: learned how to take better care of themselves. Now they
[5:48] Speaker 3: went through the same you know, trials and tribulations in
[5:51] Speaker 3: terms of health and wellness that all kids go through.
[5:54] Speaker 3: They all had you know, mumps and measles and chicken pox,
[5:58] Speaker 3: none of which was vaccinated for. But yet they were
[6:01] Speaker 3: naturally vaccinated by having these diseases. And now they have
[6:05] Speaker 3: lifetime immunity that's durable so that these things don't come back,
[6:10] Speaker 3: as in the case of most adults who end up
[6:13] Speaker 3: with today with shingles because they took what a chicken
[6:18] Speaker 3: pox vaccine and now they're grappling with severe shingles problems. Oh,
[6:25] Speaker 3: here's another vaccine for that, you know. So we went
[6:30] Speaker 3: against the grain. In the beginning, it was tough. I
[6:33] Speaker 3: got a lot of pushback from conventional medicine, and they
[6:36] Speaker 3: all tried to get this quack off the radio by
[6:40] Speaker 3: the name of doctor Bob Martin and wrote, you know, campaigns,
[6:44] Speaker 3: letter campaigns, and nasty letters to the radio stations that
[6:48] Speaker 3: I was on saying, oh, this guy's killing people, get
[6:50] Speaker 3: him off the air fast. And they all resisted it.
[6:55] Speaker 3: And they resisted it because they had confidence in what
[6:58] Speaker 3: I was talking about in the record that I brought
[7:00] Speaker 3: forward in being an actually a trained radio broadcaster as
[7:06] Speaker 3: well as a physician. So we were able to weather
[7:09] Speaker 3: that storm in the rough days, you know, two decades
[7:13] Speaker 3: worth in the beginning. And now we're starting to see
[7:15] Speaker 3: the very topics that we were talking about in warning
[7:19] Speaker 3: people about and encouraging them to gain information and knowledge
[7:23] Speaker 3: rather than be sheeple and just bow their heads just
[7:25] Speaker 3: because that doctor in his ceremonial white coat and stethoscope
[7:31] Speaker 3: draped around his neck saying do this or die. I'm God,
[7:36] Speaker 3: and you'll be sorry if you don't. People are now
[7:39] Speaker 3: resisting it. They're realizing that the medical profession in general
[7:43] Speaker 3: has extreme limitations and shortcomings, and that there's more to
[7:48] Speaker 3: healing than just taking drugs and cutting and slicing and
[7:53] Speaker 3: doing drugs. They actually are taking charge of their health
[7:56] Speaker 3: and learning about it through shows like this. There are
[7:59] Speaker 3: many others that are excellent as well, and I see
[8:02] Speaker 3: that trend, and I'm so so happy and pleased to
[8:05] Speaker 3: see that a person like Robert F. Kennedy Junior is
[8:09] Speaker 3: running the Health and Human Services Secretary and has really
[8:13] Speaker 3: shaken things up for the betterment of man as opposed
[8:16] Speaker 3: to the financial income that serves the pharmaceutical companies and
[8:22] Speaker 3: the minions that serve all their drugs.
[8:25] Speaker 2: Well, it's definitely going to be an uphill battle for
[8:29] Speaker 2: the MAHA movement. Robert F. Kennedy Junior, you know every
[8:33] Speaker 2: everything that he has going on, because this is this
[8:36] Speaker 2: is what we know, doctor Bob. Five trillion dollars spent
[8:40] Speaker 2: on healthcare. We're fortieth in the world in healthcare, so
[8:45] Speaker 2: we have every chronic disease on the rise, and most
[8:49] Speaker 2: you know is what is it, two thirds of Americans
[8:52] Speaker 2: are on prescription drugs. You know, many, many people will
[8:56] Speaker 2: be diagnosed with cancer, and every minute there's someone diagnosed
[9:00] Speaker 2: with Alzheimer's or dementia. So so we have an uphill
[9:03] Speaker 2: battle to make America healthy again. That's and that's really
[9:07] Speaker 2: got it. We got to have a starting point. So
[9:09] Speaker 2: I think that's where we're at right now.
[9:10] Speaker 3: It is and when you compare the health of other
[9:13] Speaker 3: countries that do it for a lot less and are
[9:15] Speaker 3: a lot healthy. You know there's something wrong with this.
[9:17] Speaker 3: Just take for example, one example, sea sections. Cesarean sections.
[9:21] Speaker 3: They've gone up over sixty percent of them, are completely
[9:25] Speaker 3: unnecessary and put mother and baby at risk. Why did
[9:28] Speaker 3: doctors do that? Because they can go from making around,
[9:32] Speaker 3: you know, the normal case of a vaginal birth out
[9:35] Speaker 3: the doors like fifteen thousand dollars. However, when you have
[9:38] Speaker 3: a sea section, it can be sixty thousand dollars or more.
[9:42] Speaker 3: So of course doctors are motivated to tell every woman
[9:46] Speaker 3: that God made a mistake by not putting a zipper
[9:48] Speaker 3: in their abdomen, and so they're going to make it right.
[9:51] Speaker 3: They're going to cut them, you know, from Stanleystrm, and
[9:53] Speaker 3: they're going to earn big time banks. So there's no
[9:55] Speaker 3: incentive to keep people well in the United States. That's
[9:57] Speaker 3: our problem.
[9:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, And really it's it's built on a sick
[10:02] Speaker 2: care system. And this is something that I know you've
[10:05] Speaker 2: mentioned for decades now. In the sick care system, basically
[10:09] Speaker 2: it only profits when when you maintain your visits every
[10:14] Speaker 2: every week or every month, whatever it might be, until
[10:17] Speaker 2: you have the next health related ailment. That is you
[10:21] Speaker 2: know again, you're not being healthy. You're not healthy for yourself.
[10:25] Speaker 2: You have to be responsible, you have to be proactive,
[10:28] Speaker 2: and that is what this show is all about. Well,
[10:31] Speaker 2: Doctor Bob, we got to take a quick break, but
[10:33] Speaker 2: but everyone, I want you to stay with us. When
[10:35] Speaker 2: we come back, we're going to dive into your question,
[10:38] Speaker 2: starting with a caller who has strong feelings about produce
[10:43] Speaker 2: washing in border policy. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to
[10:46] Speaker 2: Health Talk America. Something big is happening and I want
[11:03] Speaker 2: you to be the first to know. The Doctor Bob

[12:54] Speaker 2: hotline eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.
[12:58] Speaker 2: Let's go ahead and get into our first caller question.
[13:01] Speaker 2: This is Bob and Vincent's Indiana.
[13:08] Speaker 4: Believe it's Bob. I live in Vincent's Indiana, and I
[13:13] Speaker 4: love your show. The help the correct guess that's going
[13:17] Speaker 4: dramatically down because the barriers are closed and those people
[13:22] Speaker 4: can't bring a crap in here anymore. Then he says,
[13:26] Speaker 4: washing vegetables, how do you wash him? Let me just
[13:30] Speaker 4: plain water or bleach or to washine away. Thank you.
[13:36] Speaker 2: I love your show, all right, Thank you, Bob, and
[13:41] Speaker 2: doctor Bob, you want to go ahead and start this one?
[13:43] Speaker 3: Happy to Bob. Thanks for your call. It's a great question,
[13:47] Speaker 3: especially right now with all of the concern over the
[13:51] Speaker 3: parasitic infection which is rampant in the United States causing
[13:55] Speaker 3: explosive diarrhea and other unwanted elements. I think it's top
[13:59] Speaker 3: of mind for everybody right now. So it's a good question.
[14:02] Speaker 2: But there are.
[14:03] Speaker 3: Ways that you can avert that kind of risk coming
[14:07] Speaker 3: in your direction. And I think first and foremost, you
[14:10] Speaker 3: should seek out grocery stores that sell organic fruits and veggies.
[14:17] Speaker 3: If they sell organic fruits and veggies, there's going to
[14:20] Speaker 3: be a much much lesser risk of developing any kind
[14:26] Speaker 3: of food borne infection from contamination. Now that's not to
[14:32] Speaker 3: say all organic fruits and vegetables are one hundred percent.
[14:36] Speaker 3: There may be that, but it's going to reduce it
[14:39] Speaker 3: down to such a small number the worry would be
[14:41] Speaker 3: a lot less. And if you do decide, and by
[14:44] Speaker 3: the way, organic fruits and vegetables. People say, well, yeah,
[14:48] Speaker 3: you know, they cost more and they look bad. Well,
[14:51] Speaker 3: that may be true in the in the in the
[14:54] Speaker 3: on the front end, you may pay a little bit
[14:56] Speaker 3: more for organic, but you're also not going to pay
[14:59] Speaker 3: on the other end of your life as much when
[15:01] Speaker 3: you develop cancer from those sprays, those pesticides, those fungicides,
[15:07] Speaker 3: those cancer causing agents that are hitting your fruits and vegetables.
[15:11] Speaker 3: Strawberries being one of the worst ones on the top
[15:14] Speaker 3: of the list, has been measured to have twenty three
[15:17] Speaker 3: different toxins, pesticides, and fungicides on it. So I guess
[15:21] Speaker 3: it's your choice. You want to pay me now or
[15:23] Speaker 3: pay me later kind of a thing. So yeah, get
[15:26] Speaker 3: the organic if you can. But if you do shop
[15:29] Speaker 3: at a conventional grocery store, or you can't get organic
[15:33] Speaker 3: because it's out of season or whatever, you can always
[15:36] Speaker 3: take those fruits and veggies. Get a big bowl, put
[15:39] Speaker 3: the put the veggies or the fruits in the bowl,
[15:42] Speaker 3: pour water in there, hopefully pure water, and then add
[15:47] Speaker 3: a half a cup of baking soda to it, baking
[15:51] Speaker 3: soda arm or baking soda, and stir it around, soak it,
[15:57] Speaker 3: leave it sit for half hour, then pour it off.
[16:00] Speaker 3: That's one technique to get most of them off of there.
[16:03] Speaker 3: The other technique is you can add apple cider vinegar
[16:08] Speaker 3: to another half cup of apple cider vinegar to that
[16:11] Speaker 3: same bowl or a separate bowl, let them soak, and
[16:15] Speaker 3: then rinse it off. Rinse the vinegar off it's okay,
[16:18] Speaker 3: and the baking powder off. That will get the majority
[16:21] Speaker 3: of the outside chemicals that are clinging to it off
[16:26] Speaker 3: of there. It doesn't penetrate enough and won't get some
[16:30] Speaker 3: of the deeper pesticides in cancer crossing agents that were
[16:34] Speaker 3: sprayed when those were seedlings coming up. They're still going
[16:38] Speaker 3: to exist. And that's why this radio show is really
[16:42] Speaker 3: trying to, you know, laser focus people on seeing the
[16:46] Speaker 3: value and organic fruits and vegetables. And if you don't
[16:49] Speaker 3: know where to get them, there is a place to
[16:51] Speaker 3: get them. Just look for the closest natural grocer stores
[16:55] Speaker 3: to you naturalgrocers dot com to find the closest one
[16:59] Speaker 3: to where liver or work shop there you'll you'll be
[17:02] Speaker 3: getting one hundred percent organic, guaranteed USDA certified organic fruits
[17:07] Speaker 3: and vegetables.
[17:09] Speaker 2: And that's a great recommendation. Doctor Bob Uh with the
[17:12] Speaker 2: organic fruits vegetables and uh and Bob from Vincent's thank
[17:17] Speaker 2: you for listening, thank you for calling in. So I
[17:20] Speaker 2: want to I want to take this with the vegetable
[17:22] Speaker 2: washing a little bit further, because you know what doctor
[17:27] Speaker 2: Bob was saying with the playing cool, you know, running water,
[17:31] Speaker 2: that's genuinely that's your your best tool for produce. And
[17:35] Speaker 2: I know, I know Bob our caller Bob was was
[17:38] Speaker 2: joking here, but I also want to reiterate that you
[17:43] Speaker 2: definitely don't need bleach and under no circumstance put your
[17:47] Speaker 2: vegetables in the washing machine. And and I know, I
[17:51] Speaker 2: know that sounds like an obvious thing to say, but
[17:53] Speaker 2: I want to say it out out loud because you
[17:56] Speaker 2: never know somebody listening might take it seriously. But here's
[18:00] Speaker 2: here's why plain water works so well. You know, most
[18:05] Speaker 2: most of what you're removing from produce, the dirt, the
[18:08] Speaker 2: surface residue, and and some bacteria comes off through simple
[18:13] Speaker 2: mechanical action. And this is again, this is why it's
[18:15] Speaker 2: so important to get organic fruits and vegetables free of
[18:19] Speaker 2: those synthetic pesticides. And when I'm talking about this meaning
[18:23] Speaker 2: rubbing or scrubbing this surface under running water. And for
[18:27] Speaker 2: firmer produce like potatoes or carrots, cucumbers, there's some like
[18:32] Speaker 2: there's a produce brush that you can use under running water,
[18:35] Speaker 2: and that's that's excellent for that. For your for your
[18:38] Speaker 2: leafy greens, a good soak and swish and a bowl
[18:42] Speaker 2: of cool water followed by by like a rinse that
[18:45] Speaker 2: does the job well. And if you want to want
[18:47] Speaker 2: to take an extra step for produce with a lot
[18:50] Speaker 2: of surface area, like like broccoli or berries, that diluted
[18:55] Speaker 2: vinegar water soak. What we do in our house is
[18:58] Speaker 2: roughly one part of white you know, the apple cider
[19:02] Speaker 2: vinegar to three parts of water and that can help
[19:05] Speaker 2: reduce that surface bacteria a little bit further in its
[19:10] Speaker 2: food safe unlike bleach, which should never touch anything that
[19:14] Speaker 2: you intend to eat. Now Now, now, Bob, I also
[19:19] Speaker 2: want to address that broader point in your message, and
[19:23] Speaker 2: this is where I'm going to take it. The relationship
[19:25] Speaker 2: between that border policy and health outcomes. It's a kind
[19:28] Speaker 2: of a complicated question. It's not something that we can
[19:32] Speaker 2: respond to reasonably with a single sound bite on the show.
[19:36] Speaker 2: What I will say is this the food safety and
[19:38] Speaker 2: produce contamination in this country is influenced by a wide
[19:42] Speaker 2: range of factors, including the farming practices, the supply chain length, uh,
[19:48] Speaker 2: you know, the storage integrity handling standards at every step
[19:53] Speaker 2: from from the field to the store. And we're talking
[19:56] Speaker 2: about both here in America in what's important. So it's
[19:59] Speaker 2: it's likely not accurate to just reduce a complex public
[20:05] Speaker 2: health picture to some single cause. So it's like looking
[20:09] Speaker 2: at for from a lens of food safety systems and
[20:12] Speaker 2: practices rather than one one particular reason. So what I
[20:18] Speaker 2: can say with confidence is that no matter where your
[20:20] Speaker 2: produce comes from, proper washing at home is always always important,
[20:26] Speaker 2: and that should be what is your last and your
[20:29] Speaker 2: most controllable line of defense. So I'm glad that you
[20:33] Speaker 2: asked that part of the question because something every single
[20:35] Speaker 2: one of us can act on today, regardless of where
[20:39] Speaker 2: our food traveled from and how it gotten to our kitchen.
[20:43] Speaker 2: Doctor Bob, anything else you'd like to add, we just
[20:45] Speaker 2: got a minute or so before break.
[20:47] Speaker 3: Now I think you've summed it up. As you pointed out,
[20:50] Speaker 3: there are different methodologies for which you can make your
[20:56] Speaker 3: fruits and veggies safer, and that's the goal, because you know,
[21:00] Speaker 3: you got to remember, ladies and gentlemen, the old saying,
[21:03] Speaker 3: garbage in, garbage out. You may not be able to
[21:06] Speaker 3: see or smell or taste the pesticides and the carcinogenic
[21:11] Speaker 3: agents that have been sprayed on your fruits and veggies,
[21:14] Speaker 3: but you're sure as excuses of an accult you sure
[21:17] Speaker 3: as hell wouldn't want to feed those to your children,
[21:19] Speaker 3: would you. And therefore this is a call to action,
[21:22] Speaker 3: Doctor Brockman, all right.
[21:25] Speaker 2: Well, we got to take another break, but we got
[21:27] Speaker 2: a great call coming up. This one is about something
[21:30] Speaker 2: a lot of you have asked about recently. We're talking
[21:33] Speaker 2: a mold exposure and how it affects our body. I
[21:36] Speaker 2: want you to stay with us here on Health Talk America.
[22:10] Speaker 2: Welcome back to Health Talk America. I'm glad to have
[22:13] Speaker 2: you back with us, Doctor Adam Brockman here with doctor
[22:16] Speaker 2: Bob Martin, and we've got a great color question coming up.
[22:20] Speaker 2: But first, you know, one thing we talk about constantly
[22:25] Speaker 2: on the show is that health isn't just what happens
[22:29] Speaker 2: in the obvious places like your brain and your heart.
[22:33] Speaker 2: Your mouth is part of this conversation too, and that's
[22:36] Speaker 2: why I want to tell you about the Sprite dental
[22:39] Speaker 2: defense system. Spry makes oral care products built around xylotol,
[22:44] Speaker 2: and that's something that is natural that actually works with
[22:48] Speaker 2: your body instead of against it. Here's what most people
[22:51] Speaker 2: don't realize. The bacteria responsible for cavities and plaque build
[22:56] Speaker 2: up feed on sugar to survive, but xylotol looks like
[23:01] Speaker 2: sugar to those bad bacteria without giving them what the
[23:05] Speaker 2: bacteria needs to thrive. So over time, consistent xylotol use
[23:10] Speaker 2: can help shift the oral microbiome toward a healthier balance,
[23:14] Speaker 2: which is a much different approach than simply masking bad
[23:18] Speaker 2: breath or scrubbing harder with a toothbrush. And Spry's lineup
[23:22] Speaker 2: includes gum, mince, mouthwash, and toothpaste and it's all formulated
[23:27] Speaker 2: around this xylotol first philosophy, and the products are free
[23:33] Speaker 2: of harsh ingredients found a lot of other oral care products,
[23:37] Speaker 2: and in Spry there are no artificial sweeteners, no sodium
[23:42] Speaker 2: laurel sulfate, stripping your mouth's natural protective barrier. Doctor Bob
[23:47] Speaker 2: and I recommend Spry gum specifically after meals because chewing
[23:52] Speaker 2: stimulates saliva production. In saliva combined with xylotol. It's a
[23:57] Speaker 2: powerful combination for maintaining a healthy mouth environment throughout the day,
[24:02] Speaker 2: not just when you're brushing. So if you've been dealing
[24:06] Speaker 2: with dry mouth or sensitive gums, or you're just looking
[24:09] Speaker 2: for an oral care routine that actually supports your body's
[24:13] Speaker 2: own defenses instead of working against them, look into the
[24:18] Speaker 2: Spry full product line. Your mouth is your gateway to
[24:22] Speaker 2: the rest of your health, and I'm talking inflammation and
[24:25] Speaker 2: bacterial imbalances there. Don't just stay in the mouth that
[24:29] Speaker 2: has ripple effects throughout the body. You can find Spry
[24:33] Speaker 2: at places that you already shop like CVS, Targets, Sprouts
[24:38] Speaker 2: and Natural Grossers and online at Clear dot com that's
[24:42] Speaker 2: spelled x l e R dot com. Clear as the
[24:45] Speaker 2: makers of nasal sprays, which doctor Bob and I highly recommend.
[24:50] Speaker 2: It's a simple switch, meaningful difference with the Spry dental
[24:54] Speaker 2: defense system. Okay, doctor Bob, let's get to our next question,
[24:58] Speaker 2: and it comes from and Laurville, Louisiana.
[25:04] Speaker 5: My name is Linda. I'm in Laurville, Louisiana, and I'm
[25:09] Speaker 5: calling to find out if y'all have any knowledge about
[25:15] Speaker 5: mold in the body, in the brain and other parts
[25:20] Speaker 5: of the body. If you have any type of something
[25:26] Speaker 5: that you think ought to be done to get rid
[25:30] Speaker 5: of this.
[25:31] Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, all right, thank you Linda. Doctor Bob,
[25:35] Speaker 2: you want to start, I do.
[25:37] Speaker 3: Linda, thank you so much for your call. Many people
[25:40] Speaker 3: are plagued by mold exposure and have all kinds of
[25:45] Speaker 3: health problems, including asthma and allergies and eggzema, and just
[25:50] Speaker 3: the list is so long, and most people don't even
[25:53] Speaker 3: consider that that mold may have gotten into the body
[25:57] Speaker 3: through respiration. The first thing you do, before you think
[26:01] Speaker 3: about anything, is removed the mold from the environment that
[26:05] Speaker 3: you're in. Mold loves moisture, and so you see more
[26:10] Speaker 3: mold or what we call micotoxins. We see more of
[26:14] Speaker 3: that in humid places where there's water and their humidity
[26:19] Speaker 3: is higher. And usually that starts in like you know,
[26:23] Speaker 3: the bathroom where there's water constantly, with showers and bathtubs
[26:27] Speaker 3: and sinks or moldy basements that can also off gas
[26:34] Speaker 3: these micotoxins, these molds, and then they are inhaled, you know,
[26:39] Speaker 3: through your nasal cavity or your mouth, and so it
[26:42] Speaker 3: needs to be dealt with. Somebody needs to investigate the
[26:45] Speaker 3: possibility of mold overgrowth in the environment in which you
[26:50] Speaker 3: are living in. And we live we spend about ninety
[26:53] Speaker 3: percent of our day and night indoors. Therefore, that exposure
[26:58] Speaker 3: is great when you're in caps related in your home
[27:02] Speaker 3: and that mold is just growing away and the spores
[27:04] Speaker 3: are off gasing into the air and you're breathing them in.
[27:07] Speaker 3: But don't fear, because there are many ways the body
[27:11] Speaker 3: can bined and process and eliminate these microtoxins or molds
[27:16] Speaker 3: from your system. First, get rid of the source, That's
[27:19] Speaker 3: what I just said, and then start looking at how
[27:22] Speaker 3: there are ways you can bind these toxins up. You
[27:26] Speaker 3: can use activated charcoal, you can use Bens Benson, Ben's
[27:32] Speaker 3: bent what is it, Benton Nite night clay, bet Nite Clay.
[27:36] Speaker 3: Modified citrus pectin is another one we use, and I've
[27:39] Speaker 3: often used Doctor Brockman high doses of garlic. I love
[27:44] Speaker 3: age garlic extract by kyolic that is a mold killer.
[27:49] Speaker 2: There are other.
[27:50] Speaker 3: Supplements like glue, tothione. Anybody who's exposed to it and
[27:53] Speaker 3: is sick from it going is going to be really ill.
[27:57] Speaker 3: It's one of the worst things somebody can experience is
[28:00] Speaker 3: mold infection. So I'm a big fan of using things
[28:03] Speaker 3: that raise the body's levels of glue to thione up,
[28:05] Speaker 3: whether it be a glue to thione supplement that's leposomal
[28:11] Speaker 3: form or anecetyl cystein. Sometimes this mold gets into the liver,
[28:16] Speaker 3: slimmering as an herb is good for that. And there's
[28:19] Speaker 3: a whole long list of other nutrients that are against mold.
[28:23] Speaker 3: I love a reganal oil is one of them.
[28:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, great recommendation, doctor Bob and Linda. This is a
[28:30] Speaker 2: such an important question because mold exposure, in the mold
[28:34] Speaker 2: related illness, it's far more common than people realize, and
[28:39] Speaker 2: it's far you know, it's underrecognized by conventional medicine. And
[28:43] Speaker 2: that's that's what you know, it's so important about this question.
[28:47] Speaker 2: So again that that framework that doctor Bob gave you,
[28:50] Speaker 2: the mold exposure, it typically causes problems in one of
[28:55] Speaker 2: two ways. There's that ongoing exposure the living or working
[28:59] Speaker 2: in the water damage environment where those mold spores and
[29:04] Speaker 2: their byproducts. Like doctor Bob mentioned that the micotoxins they're
[29:08] Speaker 2: actively being inhaled or absorbed and then the second that
[29:13] Speaker 2: there's the body's inability to properly clear those micotoxins once
[29:18] Speaker 2: they once once you are exposed, and this is where
[29:22] Speaker 2: genetics might play a role. Your immune system plays a role.
[29:26] Speaker 2: Some people simply they detoxify these mold byproducts far less
[29:31] Speaker 2: efficiently than others, which is why two people in the
[29:35] Speaker 2: same house or same moldy building might have wildly different
[29:40] Speaker 2: symptom severity. So the symptoms, of course, it can be
[29:44] Speaker 2: brain fog, it can be chronic fatigue, it can be
[29:47] Speaker 2: sinus issues. Uh, it can be even unexplained joint pain
[29:52] Speaker 2: and mood changes. And these symptoms they often overlap, just
[29:56] Speaker 2: like so many other conditions, and that's why the bold
[29:59] Speaker 2: illness gets missed constantly. So so again my recommendation, building
[30:04] Speaker 2: on what doctor doctor Bob said, Linda, start with identifying
[30:08] Speaker 2: removing that source that that has to happen first, because
[30:12] Speaker 2: no amount of that internal detox is going to outpace
[30:16] Speaker 2: some ongoing exposure. And from there, work with a practitioner
[30:19] Speaker 2: that's familiar with mold related illnesses and how to how
[30:23] Speaker 2: to bind those in your body. Like doctor Bob mentioned,
[30:26] Speaker 2: activated charcoal, ben night clay, uh, you know, there's so
[30:30] Speaker 2: many you know, coyolic age, garlic extract, these are all
[30:33] Speaker 2: so good in combining that it supports your your livers
[30:37] Speaker 2: detoxification pathways. So so that's that's the recommendation. Linda, thank
[30:42] Speaker 2: you so much for your question. I hope that gives
[30:44] Speaker 2: you a real starting point for the mold exposure. Okay,
[30:47] Speaker 2: doctor Bob, we got to take a short break, but
[30:49] Speaker 2: when we come back, we're going to get some more

[34:26] Speaker 2: on Health Talk America. Doctor Adam Brockman here with Doctor
[34:29] Speaker 2: Bob and we're powering through your questions this hour. So
[34:32] Speaker 2: let's go ahead and get to our next caller question.
[34:35] Speaker 2: And this one comes from Ray in Chandler, Arizona.
[34:42] Speaker 7: Oh yes, this is Ray from Chandler, Arizona. I want
[34:47] Speaker 7: to ask you know, I'm told you know I don't
[34:51] Speaker 7: have trouble with eating bread that has gloon in it,
[34:56] Speaker 7: but yet you know, these other critical health are saying, oh,
[34:59] Speaker 7: you need to get off of it. In all the troubles,
[35:04] Speaker 7: the gluten free breads have cane sugar in it is
[35:09] Speaker 7: cane sugar bad.
[35:12] Speaker 2: All right? And that was Ray. She is a loyal
[35:15] Speaker 2: listener of the program. And Ray, thank you so much
[35:19] Speaker 2: for your engagement with the show. And Ray, this is
[35:23] Speaker 2: such a smart it's a it's a layered question, So
[35:25] Speaker 2: I want to I want to unpack it because what
[35:28] Speaker 2: you've actually identified as something a lot of people miss entirely. First,
[35:33] Speaker 2: if you tolerate gluten well with no diagnosis of silliac disease,
[35:39] Speaker 2: or confirmed gluten sensitivity. There is no blanket medical requirement
[35:44] Speaker 2: that you need to eliminate it. The gluten avoidance has
[35:47] Speaker 2: become what I think something of a cultural trend, doctor Bob,
[35:51] Speaker 2: and it's applied broadly to people who don't actually have
[35:56] Speaker 2: a physiological reason to avoid it. So if your body
[35:59] Speaker 2: handles it fine, that part of the pressure that you're
[36:02] Speaker 2: feeling isn't necessarily grounded in your personal health need. But
[36:08] Speaker 2: here's the sharper insight in your question, Ray, You've noticed
[36:13] Speaker 2: something a lot of health conscious shoppers completely overlook, and
[36:17] Speaker 2: that is the gluten free process products, including including breads,
[36:21] Speaker 2: they very often substitute refined starches in added sugars, including
[36:27] Speaker 2: cane sugar, to make up to make up for the
[36:30] Speaker 2: texture in the structure that gluten normally provides. So somebody
[36:34] Speaker 2: swapping to gluten free thinking that they made a healthier choice,
[36:39] Speaker 2: they've actually just traded one issue for a product that's
[36:42] Speaker 2: higher in refined sugar and often lower in fiber in
[36:46] Speaker 2: nutrient density. So there's your trap, and you spotted it
[36:49] Speaker 2: very well.
[36:50] Speaker 3: Ray.
[36:51] Speaker 2: So to directly answer your question, yes, cane sugar in
[36:56] Speaker 2: meaningful quantities consumed absolutely matters for blood sugar regulation and
[37:03] Speaker 2: insulin response and the long term metabolic health. Regardless of
[37:07] Speaker 2: whether it's sitting inside a healthy labeled gluten free product
[37:12] Speaker 2: or it's sit in a candy bar. The sugar sugar
[37:16] Speaker 2: metabolicky speaking that is, and a gluten free label doesn't
[37:20] Speaker 2: necessarily override that. So my advice, Ray, don't chase the
[37:25] Speaker 2: gluten free label just if you don't have a documented
[37:30] Speaker 2: reason to not consume any gluten. Instead, focus on what's
[37:35] Speaker 2: actually in the product, that the fiber content, the added sugar,
[37:39] Speaker 2: and the overall nutrient density of what you're eating. And
[37:43] Speaker 2: doctor Bob, anything you'd like to add on sugar and
[37:46] Speaker 2: gluten free.
[37:48] Speaker 3: Yes, Ray, thanks for the call. You're probably listening to
[37:51] Speaker 3: one of our affiliates, ktr FM ninety two point three
[37:56] Speaker 3: there in Phoenix, Arizona. They have a huge signal. Really
[38:00] Speaker 3: appreciate them airing the Health Talk America show. I think
[38:06] Speaker 3: that the gluten was sort of the crazy craze before
[38:10] Speaker 3: mask wearing doctor Brockman. Seriously, people are now paranoid about gluten,
[38:14] Speaker 3: and at one time they were throwing all their bread out.
[38:17] Speaker 3: Nobody was eating bread, which is a substantial portion of
[38:19] Speaker 3: how human beings get fiber. If you don't get fiber,
[38:23] Speaker 3: you don't build your gastrointestinal flora. If you don't have
[38:26] Speaker 3: gas intestinal good bacteria, you have no immune system. So
[38:30] Speaker 3: it's crazy on its space for anybody to try to
[38:35] Speaker 3: avoid healthy forms of grains. And I'm talking about grains
[38:39] Speaker 3: that are in the gluten family like whole wheat, whole wheat, barley, rye,
[38:46] Speaker 3: and other grains that have gluten. The problem is not
[38:49] Speaker 3: gluten though. What the problem is is the glypha sate
[38:52] Speaker 3: that's sprayed on the grains. That's what you really need
[38:55] Speaker 3: to be aware of. You need to be eating only
[38:59] Speaker 3: organic grains. And you mentioned certain grain certain breads that
[39:04] Speaker 3: have sugar, and that's true. So what do you do
[39:06] Speaker 3: You shop for Ezekiel bread. Ezekiel bread is probably the
[39:10] Speaker 3: healthiest bread you're going to get. You're going to find
[39:12] Speaker 3: it's in the refrigerator. Sometimes in the refrigerator or the freezer,
[39:17] Speaker 3: and you can get non gluten. And I encourage you
[39:20] Speaker 3: if you have that paranoia about eating any gluten, get
[39:23] Speaker 3: yourself checked. There's a simple saliva test that can measure gladin,
[39:27] Speaker 3: which is one of the two proteins that make up
[39:29] Speaker 3: gluten and tell you if you're truly allergic to it,
[39:33] Speaker 3: and it's highly accurate, and then you remove it. But
[39:35] Speaker 3: most people aren't allergic to the gluten, but are certainly
[39:41] Speaker 3: you know, should stay away from the glythosate, which is
[39:44] Speaker 3: the poisonous stuff they spray on the grains to keep
[39:47] Speaker 3: the vermin away so they have higher yields. Instead of,
[39:50] Speaker 3: you know, one hundred bushels an acre, they get three
[39:53] Speaker 3: hundred bushels an acre by poisoning the food. And then
[39:55] Speaker 3: we eat the poison and then guess what we get
[39:57] Speaker 3: down the road.
[39:59] Speaker 2: You got it, big.
[40:00] Speaker 3: Fee and all these other diseases that go with it.
[40:03] Speaker 3: So forget about the gluten unless you've been checked objectively
[40:07] Speaker 3: through laboratory testing. And then get to the right kinds
[40:11] Speaker 3: of grain that are clean and without sugar. And I
[40:15] Speaker 3: think you'll have a better life because you'll have a
[40:17] Speaker 3: better immune system and you have better ball movements and
[40:19] Speaker 3: everything else.
[40:21] Speaker 2: Well, Ray, thank you for that question. That's exactly the
[40:25] Speaker 2: kind of critical thinking about food labels that we'd love
[40:27] Speaker 2: to hear on the show. All right, it's time for
[40:30] Speaker 2: a quick break. But before we go, if today's show

[42:32] Speaker 2: alongside doctor Bob and Uh. We've had a great mail
[42:35] Speaker 2: bag we got through today. I got one final question,
[42:39] Speaker 2: doctor Bob, and this comes from Tamala in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
[42:45] Speaker 2: This is an email question. She asked. I have nearly
[42:49] Speaker 2: three inches of incision scar on my neck and around
[42:52] Speaker 2: my ear from a paradid ectomy, I asked. I asked
[42:57] Speaker 2: the doctor about using a specific formula scargel. The doctor
[43:02] Speaker 2: states to not bother with the special scargel that the
[43:06] Speaker 2: dermatologist recommends basoline. And for what I have, the doctor
[43:12] Speaker 2: said to apply twice a day for an entire year.
[43:15] Speaker 2: Should I have concerns with using this petroleum based product
[43:19] Speaker 2: for a long period of time and if so, what
[43:22] Speaker 2: else could be used? Thank you? And that question comes
[43:25] Speaker 2: from Tamala and cedar rapids Iowa. Doctor Bob all.
[43:28] Speaker 3: Right, Tamala, thank you for your call there about scars.
[43:31] Speaker 3: I think this will be of interest to other people
[43:33] Speaker 3: who have scars or will get scars in the future.
[43:36] Speaker 3: When you scar yourself, you have a sufficient wound deep
[43:40] Speaker 3: enough that it disrupts all kinds of soft tissue, and
[43:44] Speaker 3: then your body lays down in an unorganized manner, lays
[43:49] Speaker 3: down disorganized tissue, and that's what causes these keiloids or
[43:53] Speaker 3: the heaving up of that tissue. That is that which
[43:56] Speaker 3: we call scars, which are unsightly. People don't like them. Now,
[44:00] Speaker 3: it's sooner you get to these scars, the better you are,
[44:04] Speaker 3: meaning that once the wound is healed and there's no
[44:07] Speaker 3: type of infection in and around the area, you can
[44:09] Speaker 3: apply pure vitamin E oil into it, massage vitamin E
[44:13] Speaker 3: oil in it. You can also massage alo gel into
[44:17] Speaker 3: these scars. I have had some pretty dramatic results with
[44:22] Speaker 3: patients using what are called what is called a silicone
[44:26] Speaker 3: scar tape. It's a tape that is put out by
[44:29] Speaker 3: a company by the name of Nuva Dermas Nouvadermas Silicone
[44:35] Speaker 3: Scar Removal tape and it works well. And the sooner
[44:38] Speaker 3: you get to using it after that scar starts to form,
[44:42] Speaker 3: or before it forms, after the lesion is closed and
[44:45] Speaker 3: there's no infection. It works really well, and there's no
[44:48] Speaker 3: problem with the silicone. It's not going to impart any
[44:51] Speaker 3: kind of toxin into your body from the outside. However, vaciline,
[44:56] Speaker 3: on the other hand, you are correct, it is a petrochemical.
[44:59] Speaker 3: That's you know, nutrition illiteracy on the part of the dermatologist.
[45:05] Speaker 3: We shouldn't be recommending vasoline for anything besides maybe greasing
[45:09] Speaker 3: up our joints in our cars. That's about it, but
[45:13] Speaker 3: not human beings. So get these try these scars, that
[45:17] Speaker 3: scar tape that I just mentioned, vitaminytopical alo massaging it,
[45:23] Speaker 3: taking internal antioxidants, all of that should help.
[45:27] Speaker 2: Great recommendations, Doctor Bob, and doctor Bob, thank you for
[45:30] Speaker 2: jumping in with me this hour, your perspective on where
[45:34] Speaker 2: the MAHA movement stands after a year, and your input

[45:41] Speaker 2: coming back to this program. That's it for us this hour.
