[2:23] Speaker 3: doctor d O C t R Bob dot com. So
[2:27] Speaker 3: join me as we start to uncover this hour with
[2:30] Speaker 3: the major health stories that are making waves right now,
[2:34] Speaker 3: and every one of these headlines touches real life. We're
[2:37] Speaker 3: talking about your brain, we're talking about your immune system,
[2:41] Speaker 3: we're talking about your metabolism. We're talking about your mood
[2:44] Speaker 3: and your future. So let's go ahead and dive in
[2:47] Speaker 3: with our health headlines of the week. Okay, first up,
[2:59] Speaker 3: let's about food, because this story, it's shocking and frankly,
[3:03] Speaker 3: it's way too relevant for the average American household. We're
[3:07] Speaker 3: talking about a large European cohort study found that people
[3:11] Speaker 3: whose diets were made up of more than thirty percent
[3:14] Speaker 3: ultra processed foods had a forty percent higher risk of
[3:18] Speaker 3: memory impairment before the age of sixty, and that should
[3:22] Speaker 3: stop most of us in our tracks. We're not talking
[3:25] Speaker 3: about the occasional bag of chips or a frozen pizza
[3:29] Speaker 3: on a busy Friday night. We're talking about this steady
[3:32] Speaker 3: pattern of packaged snacks and sugary cereals in these industrial breads,
[3:38] Speaker 3: fast food, the convenient meals. This dominates most of our plates.
[3:43] Speaker 3: In these products, they're designed to be hyper palatable, in
[3:47] Speaker 3: shelf stable, and they're very hard to stop eating. But
[3:51] Speaker 3: your brain pays a price for that convenience. If you
[3:55] Speaker 3: think of ultraprocessed foods like the static in the wiring
[3:58] Speaker 3: of your nervous system, they don't just add the calories,
[4:02] Speaker 3: They drive inflammation and blood sugar cravings and oxidative stress
[4:07] Speaker 3: in that metabolic dysfunction, all of which can chip away
[4:11] Speaker 3: at cognitive performance over time. And when your brain is
[4:15] Speaker 3: constantly dealing with this inflammatory stress or smoke, memory and
[4:20] Speaker 3: focus can start to slip long before anyone expects it too.
[4:24] Speaker 3: So you don't need a perfect diet to move the needle.
[4:27] Speaker 3: You just need to start crowding out that fake stuff
[4:31] Speaker 3: with real food. I start adding more eggs and fish, vegetables, fruit, beans, nuts,
[4:37] Speaker 3: solid oil in high quality proteins. If you shop that
[4:41] Speaker 3: perimeter of the store more often than those middle aisles
[4:45] Speaker 3: and read the labels. If the ingredient list sounds like
[4:48] Speaker 3: a lab experiment, that's your clue. Your brain wants nourishment,
[4:52] Speaker 3: not a chemistry experiment. So if you've been feeling foggy
[4:56] Speaker 3: or sluggish, or just not as sharp as you used
[4:58] Speaker 3: to be, this is one the first places that I'd look.
[5:02] Speaker 3: Protecting your cognition isn't about crossword puzzles and supplements. It
[5:07] Speaker 3: also starts with what lands on your fork. Now, let's
[5:12] Speaker 3: move on from the pantry to the hospital, because this
[5:16] Speaker 3: next story is deeply troubling. The World Health Organization has
[5:21] Speaker 3: continued sounding the alarm on antibiotic resistance, especially in healthcare settings,
[5:26] Speaker 3: where dangerous infections are learning to outsmart the very drugs
[5:30] Speaker 3: that are designed to stop them. These resistant hot zones
[5:34] Speaker 3: are a reminder that our old strategy of throwing antibio
[5:38] Speaker 3: antibiotics at everything is coming back to hanaus. And for decades,
[5:43] Speaker 3: antibiotics they've been used like a magic eraser. If you've
[5:46] Speaker 3: got an ear infection, you get antibiotic. A sinus pressure,
[5:50] Speaker 3: you get an antibiotic. A cough that might be viral
[5:53] Speaker 3: sometimes still an antibiotic. In that over use in both
[5:57] Speaker 3: medicine and agriculture has created enormous evolutionary pressure. The bacteria adapts,
[6:04] Speaker 3: and they mutate, and they share survival tricks, and before long,
[6:08] Speaker 3: what used to be treatable becomes harder to control. And
[6:13] Speaker 3: that's why this issue matters to you. Even if you're
[6:16] Speaker 3: healthy today. Antibiotic resistance isn't some distant problem. It affects
[6:22] Speaker 3: surgeries and wound care and dental procedures and hospital stays,
[6:26] Speaker 3: and these vulnerable patients whose immune systems are already under stress.
[6:31] Speaker 3: It can turn routine care into a risky event. So
[6:36] Speaker 3: what's the takeaway without sliding into panic. We need to
[6:38] Speaker 3: start a smarter relationship with antibiotics. Antibiotics absolutely save lives
[6:44] Speaker 3: when they're used appropriately, but they are not always harmless
[6:48] Speaker 3: and they're not always the answer. This is where prevention
[6:51] Speaker 3: becomes powerful. If you build the host, and that's you.
[6:54] Speaker 3: You support your immune system, You prioritize sleep, nutrition, exercise,
[6:59] Speaker 3: blood sugar control, and gut health. You ask better questions
[7:03] Speaker 3: when medications are prescribed, use when necessary and not just
[7:07] Speaker 3: when it's convenient. So your body it shouldn't be this battleground.
[7:11] Speaker 3: It's an ecosystem. The stronger and more resilient that that
[7:15] Speaker 3: terrain is, the better prepared you are when the exposure happens.
[7:19] Speaker 3: This is one of those headlines that sounds intimidating, but
[7:22] Speaker 3: it should motivate us. So there you have it, And
[7:25] Speaker 3: now for some good news, and honestly, I really like
[7:29] Speaker 3: this one. There's research out of Harvard that highlighted that
[7:32] Speaker 3: brisk walking for just twenty to thirty minutes a day
[7:35] Speaker 3: may reduce all causes of mortality by up to thirty
[7:39] Speaker 3: five percent. I want to go ahead and say that again.
[7:43] Speaker 3: One of the most powerful longevity tools on the planet
[7:46] Speaker 3: is not locked in a bottle, hidden behind a prescription pad,
[7:50] Speaker 3: or sold in a flashing biohacking package. It's simple. It's movement.
[7:55] Speaker 3: Walking is incredibly underrated because it just looks too simple.
[8:01] Speaker 3: People assume it if it doesn't leave you gasping on
[8:05] Speaker 3: the floor for air. It's not doing that much, but
[8:08] Speaker 3: your body responds beautifully to regular, consistent motion. Walking supports
[8:14] Speaker 3: circulation and insolence, sensitivity and lymphatic flow. It helps your
[8:19] Speaker 3: joints and your bones, and it also regulates your mood.
[8:23] Speaker 3: It tells your system we are alive, we are adapting,
[8:27] Speaker 3: and we're not going to shut down. In my clinics,
[8:31] Speaker 3: I see this every day. People often wait until pain
[8:35] Speaker 3: forces them to pay attention. But movement is one of
[8:38] Speaker 3: the best ways to keep the body from sliding into
[8:41] Speaker 3: that downrolled spiral in the first place. It's maintenance for
[8:45] Speaker 3: your machine. And let's be honest, the side effect profile
[8:49] Speaker 3: of walking is pretty amazing. You get better sleep and
[8:53] Speaker 3: better energy, and better mental clarity and better digestion and
[8:57] Speaker 3: overall a better attitude. If you want to live longer
[9:01] Speaker 3: and live better, start with what your body was built
[9:04] Speaker 3: to do. Walk after meals and walk in the morning,
[9:08] Speaker 3: walk during phone calls. Let's get moving all right, And finally,
[9:12] Speaker 3: let's continue this talk about mood and resilience and one
[9:16] Speaker 3: of the most overlooked nutrients that we have, and that's
[9:19] Speaker 3: vitamin D. In a large analysis of thirty seven studies
[9:23] Speaker 3: found that vitamin D deficiency may triple the risk of
[9:27] Speaker 3: depression in adults. It triples it. That is a huge association,
[9:32] Speaker 3: and it deserves way more attention than it gets. We
[9:35] Speaker 3: become this indoor civilization. We wake up indoors, we commute indoors,
[9:39] Speaker 3: we work indoors, We exercise under fluorescent lighting, and we
[9:44] Speaker 3: unwind in front of screens. Then we are surprised when
[9:48] Speaker 3: so many people are running on empty physically and emotionally.
[9:52] Speaker 3: Vitamin D is not just about bones. It functions as
[9:55] Speaker 3: a pro hormone and it influences immune balance and inflammation
[10:00] Speaker 3: and in brain health. So you know, if we're talking
[10:04] Speaker 3: about this, the empowering move here is simple. Get your
[10:07] Speaker 3: levels checked talk with your healthcare provider about what's optimal
[10:11] Speaker 3: and not just what barely avoids that deficiency. And get
[10:14] Speaker 3: that safe sun exposure when you can, and make sure
[10:17] Speaker 3: you got magnesium other nutrient cofactors in the picture, and
[10:21] Speaker 3: if supplementation is appropriate, use it intentionally. All right. So
[10:26] Speaker 3: there you have it the health headlines. But there's one
[10:28] Speaker 3: big message. Your longevity is shaped by daily choices far
[10:32] Speaker 3: more than people realize. And so don't just consume this
[10:35] Speaker 3: health news. Use it. Let it motivate you, let it
[10:38] Speaker 3: sharpen your questions, Let it push you towards habits that
[10:41] Speaker 3: build resistance and resilience instead of dependency. All right, folks,
[10:46] Speaker 3: So we got more to come, including practical strategies that
[10:48] Speaker 3: you can actually use in real life. I want you
[10:51] Speaker 3: to stay with us. You're listening to the Doctor Bob
[10:53] Speaker 3: Martin Show, and I'm doctor Adam Brockman. We'll be right back.
[11:00] Speaker 3: Do you know about your body's most important signaling molecule.
[11:03] Speaker 3: It's called nitric oxide, and without it you lose energy,
[11:08] Speaker 3: endurance in circulation from head to toe. That's where doctor
[11:11] Speaker 3: Nathan Bryan's N one oh one comes in. They're the
[11:15] Speaker 3: world's nitric oxide innovation experts back by Nobel Prize winning
[11:19] Speaker 3: science helping your body restore its natural power to expand
[11:23] Speaker 3: blood vessels, deliver oxygen and energize every cell. More nitric
[11:28] Speaker 3: oxide means better heart health, faster recovery, and sharper mental focus.
[11:33] Speaker 3: And whether you're an athlete dealing with blood pressure issues,
[11:37] Speaker 3: are just wanting to feel years younger, N one oh
[11:40] Speaker 3: one has the proven science based solutions to get you
[11:43] Speaker 3: there naturally and safely. So don't wait for fatigue or
[11:47] Speaker 3: poor circulation to slow you down. Call eight three two
[11:51] Speaker 3: seven seven nine four four three five right now. That's
[11:55] Speaker 3: eight three two seven seventy nine four four three five,
[11:58] Speaker 3: or go online to N one oh one dot com.
[12:02] Speaker 3: That's N one oh one dot com. And he said, Sunday,
[12:07] Speaker 3: out of the chambers to them.
[12:10] Speaker 2: Black guy, iorgle, what's your gift?
[12:16] Speaker 4: And you gotta.
[12:17] Speaker 3: Turned to think about what you do with it?
[12:23] Speaker 4: What did you do it?
[12:26] Speaker 5: What did I do with it?
[12:29] Speaker 4: What would I do it?
[12:33] Speaker 6: Got?
[12:35] Speaker 3: Welcome back everyone. You're listening to Health Talk America presents
[12:38] Speaker 3: the Doctor Bob Martin Show, and I'm your host, Doctor
[12:41] Speaker 3: Adam Brockman. Before we went to break, I was just
[12:44] Speaker 3: starting to digest a call that came in from Al
[12:47] Speaker 3: in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and let's go ahead and have
[12:51] Speaker 3: you take a listen.
[12:54] Speaker 4: Hi, I'm Al Mountain Home, Arkansas, the VA. Yeah, have
[13:01] Speaker 4: me get Oh geez, what do they call it? It's
[13:06] Speaker 4: like when they stick needles in you, only they stuck
[13:10] Speaker 4: in little chunks of gold in my ears. And I
[13:16] Speaker 4: did it about eight six eight times so far, and
[13:21] Speaker 4: I have absolutely no pain.
[13:25] Speaker 3: After them doing that. And I was wondering if you've
[13:28] Speaker 3: heard of this.
[13:30] Speaker 6: It seems like it's some kind of a miracle procedure.
[13:35] Speaker 4: Okay, Hey, I'm thanks what I appreciate your shoul.
[13:43] Speaker 3: Okay, Al, well, thanks for your call, and I want
[13:46] Speaker 3: to dive a little bit deeper into what you experienced.
[13:49] Speaker 3: So Al told us that during a visit to the VA,
[13:53] Speaker 3: he received a treatment where tiny pieces of gold were
[13:56] Speaker 3: placed just under the surface of the skin in his ears.
[14:00] Speaker 3: He described the relief as miraculous, taking him from chronic
[14:05] Speaker 3: grinding pain to a state of ease that he hadn't
[14:08] Speaker 3: felt in years. And now, to most this is going
[14:12] Speaker 3: to seem impossible, But what Al experienced is a profound
[14:16] Speaker 3: intersection of ancient wisdom and modern neurology that is known
[14:21] Speaker 3: as a recular therapy. It's a specialized form of acupuncture
[14:26] Speaker 3: that treats the entire body through the gateway of the
[14:29] Speaker 3: external ear. So let's go ahead and pull this back
[14:33] Speaker 3: a little bit further. Imagine that your body. It's this massive,
[14:36] Speaker 3: complex skyscraper. And usually if there's a fire on the
[14:40] Speaker 3: fourteenth floor, let's just call that your lower back, or
[14:44] Speaker 3: a plumbing issue in your basement, let's call that your
[14:47] Speaker 3: digestive track. You have to go to a specific floor
[14:53] Speaker 3: to fix it. A recular therapy suggests that the ear
[14:57] Speaker 3: is that security office or the main control room for
[15:01] Speaker 3: the entire building, and you have every square millimeter of
[15:05] Speaker 3: your outer ear, and that corresponds to a specific organ
[15:10] Speaker 3: or a system or a nerve pathway. It's a microsystem.
[15:15] Speaker 3: It's a literal map of basically your body etched into
[15:20] Speaker 3: cartilage and into your skin. And so when we stimulate
[15:23] Speaker 3: these points, we aren't just poking the ear. We are
[15:26] Speaker 3: sending a high speed fiber optic signal directly to the
[15:30] Speaker 3: brain and through that throughout the body. So these tiny
[15:34] Speaker 3: acupuncture needles are placed, or in Al's case, these tiny
[15:39] Speaker 3: dots that are left in the ear as a semi
[15:42] Speaker 3: permanent seed or a stimulator. So these needles are seeds
[15:47] Speaker 3: in this world of energy medicine. It's it's believed to
[15:51] Speaker 3: have specific vibrational properties that help to balance those cellular
[15:56] Speaker 3: fields throughout the body. And while conventional medicine might scoff
[16:01] Speaker 3: at the word vibration, neurology cannot ignore the results that
[16:06] Speaker 3: it has. So you've got research that shows that stimulating
[16:10] Speaker 3: these these these trigger points in the brain release a
[16:14] Speaker 3: flood of endorphins, your body's natural heavy hitting pain killers,
[16:19] Speaker 3: and it modulates how our nerves perceive threats or pain signals.
[16:25] Speaker 3: And so we know we live in this world where
[16:27] Speaker 3: the standard response to chronic pain is a prescription pad
[16:30] Speaker 3: in a good luck But here it's a staggering statistic
[16:35] Speaker 3: for you. Research into a regular therapy has shown that
[16:39] Speaker 3: just one week of treatment can reduce pain intensity by
[16:42] Speaker 3: approximately forty five percent, and by the fourth week that
[16:47] Speaker 3: that pain relief often deepens further, is relieved completely. So
[16:52] Speaker 3: if you compare that to the side effect profile of
[16:55] Speaker 3: long term and said or ibuprofen use or opiate use,
[17:00] Speaker 3: and you start to see why al says this was
[17:03] Speaker 3: a miracle. So we're talking about this non invasive drug
[17:08] Speaker 3: free intervention that is actually FDA approved and it's used
[17:13] Speaker 3: by the military. You can even in some instances call
[17:18] Speaker 3: it a battlefield acupuncture, and that is to treat trauma
[17:23] Speaker 3: on the front lines. So if we're talking about it's
[17:26] Speaker 3: good enough to help our veterans find that piece from services,
[17:32] Speaker 3: whether that's trauma, mentally or pain, it's certainly something that
[17:37] Speaker 3: we should be talking about basically in every clinic across America.
[17:41] Speaker 3: And then Al you also touched on something. You asked
[17:44] Speaker 3: if I was familiar with this, and the answer is
[17:50] Speaker 3: a resounding yes. In my practice, I don't just look
[17:54] Speaker 3: at the ear for pain. I look at these reflex
[17:57] Speaker 3: points as a way to talk to the immune system
[17:59] Speaker 3: as well, so aurricular therapy. It has been used with
[18:04] Speaker 3: incredible success for things like allergies and anxiety and even
[18:08] Speaker 3: addiction recovery. And this is called immune modulation. We're not
[18:14] Speaker 3: just suppressing a symptom like a maybe an anahistamine may do.
[18:19] Speaker 3: We are retraining the body's response to the world around it.
[18:23] Speaker 3: So let's talk about topic that's very relevant in Owl's
[18:27] Speaker 3: Neck of the Woods in Arkansas and across much of
[18:29] Speaker 3: the United States now and this is alpha gu syndrome.
[18:33] Speaker 3: And for those who don't know, this is a life
[18:35] Speaker 3: altering allergy to red meat, specifically this alpha goal sugar molecule,
[18:40] Speaker 3: and it's triggered by the bite of a lone star tick.
[18:44] Speaker 3: It is a condition where a simple burger continding into
[18:48] Speaker 3: anaphylactic shock within minutes or hours after you've eaten it.
[18:53] Speaker 3: So in our clinic, we use the same philosophy that
[18:56] Speaker 3: governs auricular therapy and stimulates the bodies innate, feeling intelligent
[19:01] Speaker 3: to tackle conditions like alpha gal in other complex sensitivities.
[19:06] Speaker 3: And I also want to talk about something that is
[19:10] Speaker 3: known as low dose immunotherapy or LDI. So if we
[19:15] Speaker 3: think of LDI as this software update for your immune system.
[19:20] Speaker 3: So instead of using these massive doses of a drug
[19:22] Speaker 3: that's going to shut down your immune response, it's introducing
[19:27] Speaker 3: these extremely diluted antigens, essentially a digital thumbprint of a
[19:32] Speaker 3: trigger to tell the T cell regulator cells to calm down.
[19:38] Speaker 3: So it's the same principle as what else talking about.
[19:42] Speaker 3: With these gold seeds, we're not overriding the body, we're
[19:46] Speaker 3: whispering to it we're saying, hey, that red meat protein,
[19:50] Speaker 3: that's not the enemy. You can go ahead and take
[19:54] Speaker 3: a seat down, right. So, when we combine these types
[19:59] Speaker 3: of comple wellness strategies, we are seeing these outcomes that
[20:02] Speaker 3: conventional medicine seems like it's impossible. So we've seen patients
[20:08] Speaker 3: who couldn't walk through a grocery store without an inflammatory
[20:11] Speaker 3: flare up suddenly find their lives again. So it's not magic.
[20:14] Speaker 3: It's the result of respecting the body's biological map and
[20:18] Speaker 3: using the right tools to help navigate it. And so
[20:23] Speaker 3: you know, when we're talking about this ol, you know
[20:25] Speaker 3: your story. It's a beacon of hope for anyone that's
[20:28] Speaker 3: listening who feels trapped by chronic pain or a haywire
[20:32] Speaker 3: immune system. You were told at the VA, who generally
[20:37] Speaker 3: sticks pretty tied to that conventional model of care, that
[20:41] Speaker 3: this unconventional therapy was the answer. In this case, it
[20:45] Speaker 3: was a regular therapy and it was the answer. So
[20:48] Speaker 3: this is a message that I want to go ahead
[20:52] Speaker 3: and leave you listeners with as we had to break.
[20:55] Speaker 3: Don't accept a life of managing symptoms when you could
[20:58] Speaker 3: be resolving the underlying dysfunction, whether it's it's through a
[21:02] Speaker 3: regular therapy or specialized probiotics to heal that gut, brain
[21:06] Speaker 3: access or low dose immunotherapy to to quiet and overactive
[21:11] Speaker 3: immune system. The tools for that miracle, they're already here.
[21:17] Speaker 3: You have the power, and you have to retrain your
[21:20] Speaker 3: nervous system. You have to to have the power to
[21:23] Speaker 3: demand more than a pill. We are you know, we're
[21:26] Speaker 3: here to help you arm with that knowledge to make
[21:30] Speaker 3: those decisions. So if you're you're dealing with chronic pain,
[21:33] Speaker 3: don't just wait for it to go away. Look into
[21:35] Speaker 3: these reflex therapies. Look into practitioners who understand that the
[21:39] Speaker 3: ear is a doorway to the to the to your
[21:41] Speaker 3: entire body and out. Thanks for your call and bring
[21:45] Speaker 3: this up. You remind us that sometimes the best way
[21:48] Speaker 3: to look forward is to look at what we've been
[21:51] Speaker 3: using for a thousand years or more. All Right, folks,
[21:53] Speaker 3: I want you to go ahead and stay tuned. You're
[21:54] Speaker 3: listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman,
[21:58] Speaker 3: and we'll be right back.
[22:04] Speaker 4: Everybody's got mistakes, but everybody's got a choice to make.
[22:10] Speaker 3: Everybody needs to leave the faith. When are you taking yours?
[22:17] Speaker 6: Mon?
[22:17] Speaker 4: Are you in.
[22:26] Speaker 3: Welcome back to the show. Everybody you're listening to help
[22:29] Speaker 3: Talk America presents the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor
[22:33] Speaker 3: Adam Brockman, and we were just talking with Al from
[22:36] Speaker 3: Mountain Home, Arkansas about his incredible journey with auricular therapy
[22:41] Speaker 3: and that's that tiny points in the ear that essentially
[22:45] Speaker 3: helped him to reboot his system. And now it sounds
[22:48] Speaker 3: like science fiction to some, but when you understand the
[22:52] Speaker 3: ear as a neurological microsystem, it's just pure beautiful physiology.
[22:58] Speaker 3: And Folks, if you miss part of that conversation, I
[23:01] Speaker 3: strongly encourage you to head back and listen to it
[23:05] Speaker 3: at our website through the podcast library, and that's at
[23:08] Speaker 3: doctor Bob dot com. Again, that's doctor Bob dot com
[23:11] Speaker 3: spelling out the word doctor docto r Bob dot com
[23:15] Speaker 3: and there you can catch it up on the show.
[23:17] Speaker 3: Because understanding how these distal points in the body can
[23:21] Speaker 3: affect your central nervous system, it's a total game changer
[23:25] Speaker 3: for anyone that has been dealing with chronic pain or
[23:28] Speaker 3: neurological hurdles. But before we jump back into more of
[23:33] Speaker 3: your health questions, I want to pivot to a different
[23:36] Speaker 3: kind of entry point to your health. We just talked
[23:40] Speaker 3: about the ears, but we often overlook the most significant
[23:45] Speaker 3: gateway to your internal environment, and that is your mouth.
[23:50] Speaker 3: So if you're ready to have a fresh start with
[23:52] Speaker 3: your oral care, I want to introduce you to the
[23:55] Speaker 3: Spry Dental Defense System. It's my personal secret to a
[24:00] Speaker 3: healthier smile in today I'm going to share it with
[24:03] Speaker 3: you because a healthy mouth it's cornerstone for a long
[24:08] Speaker 3: life in longevity and the magic ingredient with Spried Dental
[24:12] Speaker 3: Defense System is xylotol. It's a plant based powerhouse that
[24:17] Speaker 3: does what traditional toothpaste simply can't. Xylotol it's a structural miracle.
[24:24] Speaker 3: It helps to fight cavities, it reduces plaque in, it
[24:28] Speaker 3: helps to keep your breath fresh by targeting the very
[24:31] Speaker 3: root of the problem. Now, you see, most oral health
[24:36] Speaker 3: issues are caused by a specific type of bacteria. It's
[24:40] Speaker 3: a bad guy and it's called Streptococcus mutans.
[24:45] Speaker 2: In.
[24:45] Speaker 3: These bugs, they love sugar, but when they try to
[24:49] Speaker 3: eat xylotol, they get tricked because xylotol is something that
[24:53] Speaker 3: the bad bacteria can't digest. They literally starve to death.
[24:58] Speaker 3: The bad bacteria that is while trying to process it.
[25:02] Speaker 3: So xylotol it's a natural. It's a non toxic way
[25:05] Speaker 3: to clear out that biological squatters that are in your mouth.
[25:10] Speaker 3: And Spry has perfected the delivery of xylotol in every
[25:13] Speaker 3: product they make, and I'm talking about their toothpaste, Spry mouthwash, gum,
[25:18] Speaker 3: and mints. And they've done it in flavors that you
[25:22] Speaker 3: already love and enjoy, like peppermint, spearmint, and cinnamon. And
[25:26] Speaker 3: here's how the science works. Xylotol helps to balance the
[25:31] Speaker 3: pH in your mouth, and when your mouth is to acidic,
[25:35] Speaker 3: your enamel dissolves in that bacteria thrive. But Spry it
[25:40] Speaker 3: shifts that balance and it creates an alkaline environment where
[25:44] Speaker 3: harmful bacteria simply can't survive. It's a natural. It's a
[25:48] Speaker 3: proactive way to protect your teeth and your gums from
[25:51] Speaker 3: the inside out. So if you want to know my
[25:53] Speaker 3: personal routine, I brush with Spry toothpaste, I rense with
[25:58] Speaker 3: Spry mouthwash, and I always have Spry gum or mints
[26:02] Speaker 3: handy to chew after meals. It's simple, it's effective, and
[26:06] Speaker 3: it makes a world of difference for your long term wellness.
[26:10] Speaker 3: If you want to know where to find SPRY, you
[26:11] Speaker 3: can find it at your favorite local spots like CBS,
[26:15] Speaker 3: Target sprouts, and natural grossers. And if you want to
[26:18] Speaker 3: dive in deeper to the research behind it, visit Clear
[26:22] Speaker 3: dot com. It's spelled x L e a r dot com.
[26:26] Speaker 3: There are also the makers of xylotol based nasal spray
[26:31] Speaker 3: by the name of Clear. So your smile, your confidence,
[26:36] Speaker 3: all of that will thank you, and it's time to
[26:38] Speaker 3: start that fresh start with SPRY. All right, it's time
[26:42] Speaker 3: for our health alternative of the week. Today, we're talking
[27:05] Speaker 3: about the heavy hitter, the big boss, vitamin D three. Now,
[27:11] Speaker 3: let's get one thing straight, right of a gait, Calling
[27:15] Speaker 3: D three a vitamin is like calling a ferrari a scooter.
[27:20] Speaker 3: It's a massive understatement. Vitamin D three is actually a
[27:25] Speaker 3: potent neurosteroid hormone that influences over two thousand genes in
[27:31] Speaker 3: your body. That's nearly ten percent of your entire human genome.
[27:37] Speaker 3: So I want you to think about that, when you
[27:39] Speaker 3: are low on D three, you're not just a little tired.
[27:43] Speaker 3: You are essentially dimming the lights on your body's operating system.
[27:48] Speaker 3: You're leaving the gates wide open for invaders. We see
[27:52] Speaker 3: people coming into the clinic every day with chronic back pain,
[27:55] Speaker 3: that are dragging their feet with fatigue, or catching every
[27:59] Speaker 3: single buz that goes around. They're not just getting old.
[28:04] Speaker 3: I tell them, you may be just starve for the sun. Now,
[28:08] Speaker 3: why D three is the superior health alternative, it's because
[28:13] Speaker 3: in the world of supplements, there's a major impostor that's
[28:17] Speaker 3: called vitamin D two. You'll see that in cheap multi
[28:20] Speaker 3: vitamins and fortified cereals. But here's the shocking truth. D
[28:25] Speaker 3: two is often plant derived and it's way less effective.
[28:29] Speaker 3: Your body craves D three and it's coly calcifer all
[28:34] Speaker 3: that's where the stuff that your skin produces when you're
[28:37] Speaker 3: out there at the beach, and research shows that D
[28:41] Speaker 3: three is significantly more potent at raising your blood levels
[28:45] Speaker 3: and keeping than where it needs to be compared to
[28:48] Speaker 3: D two. If you want that, and you want that
[28:52] Speaker 3: to protect your bones, you need that D three to
[28:55] Speaker 3: absorb the calcium. And without it, you could drink a
[28:57] Speaker 3: whole gallon of milk a day and it wouldn't matter.
[29:00] Speaker 3: That calcium is just going to end up flowing through
[29:04] Speaker 3: through your veins and arteries instead of getting into your
[29:06] Speaker 3: skeletal system. So if you want to keep your brain
[29:09] Speaker 3: sharp and ward off the blues, D three is your
[29:13] Speaker 3: best friend. That's the ultimate biological insurance policy. So my
[29:18] Speaker 3: advice is to stop guessing, get your levels checked, ask
[29:22] Speaker 3: for twenty five hydroxy vitamin D test. You want to
[29:28] Speaker 3: be in that sweet spot of fifty to eighty nanograms
[29:31] Speaker 3: per mill leader, and you don't want to just be
[29:33] Speaker 3: in that Barreler surviving level of thirty that most tests
[29:37] Speaker 3: say is okay, we don't want you to just survive.
[29:40] Speaker 3: We want you to thrive for that one hundred years.
[29:44] Speaker 3: So I use vitamin D three as a cornerstone in
[29:47] Speaker 3: my practice from anything from sports rehab to holistic wellness,
[29:52] Speaker 3: because you can not heal a body that is chemically
[29:56] Speaker 3: deprived of a primary conductor. It's effective and it's a
[30:01] Speaker 3: game changer for your immune system, your tyre immune system.
[30:06] Speaker 3: It's vitamin D three and that is your health alternative
[30:10] Speaker 3: of the week. All right, folks, I want to just
[30:12] Speaker 3: stick around because we've got more to cover on this hour,
[30:16] Speaker 3: how to optimize your life. We're heading to a quick
[30:19] Speaker 3: break to hear from our sponsors, but don't go anywhere.
[30:22] Speaker 3: You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show and we'll
[30:25] Speaker 3: be right back.
[30:34] Speaker 5: Now. More than ever, it is important to have a
[30:36] Speaker 5: healthy immune system. Many health professionals agree that probiotics are

[30:55] Speaker 5: and immune response. The key to Doctor o Heroes success

[33:19] Speaker 6: Down to.
[33:32] Speaker 3: Welcome back to help Talk America presents the Doctor Bob
[33:35] Speaker 3: Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman, and I'm thrilled that
[33:38] Speaker 3: you're spending this hour with us. We've been diving deep
[33:41] Speaker 3: into the world of longevity and metabolic health today and
[33:45] Speaker 3: the energy in our studio is high and we're trying
[33:48] Speaker 3: to keep it that way without the sugar crash. And
[33:51] Speaker 3: speaking of sugar crashes, we have a great question from
[33:55] Speaker 3: one of our listeners. Kel Kel writes in with a
[33:58] Speaker 3: problem that it's a violent epidemic in this entire country.
[34:02] Speaker 3: Kel asks what is the best way to quickly reduce
[34:06] Speaker 3: spiking your blood glucose after it occurs? And Kel was say,
[34:11] Speaker 3: thanks for this question. We've all been there. You think
[34:15] Speaker 3: you're making a healthy choice, or maybe you've decided that
[34:18] Speaker 3: you're enjoying that extra slice of a birthday cake, and
[34:21] Speaker 3: then suddenly you feel it. You feel like that brain
[34:25] Speaker 3: fog and the fatigue in that internal alarm bell that
[34:29] Speaker 3: goes off that's telling that your blood sugar is currently
[34:32] Speaker 3: performing this vertical climb and it seems like it's climbing
[34:35] Speaker 3: Mount Everest. And before we dive into that fire extinguisher
[34:39] Speaker 3: method to put out that glucose fire, let's look at
[34:41] Speaker 3: the reality I want you to know that eighty eight
[34:45] Speaker 3: percent of Americans are considered metabolically unhealthy, and that's a
[34:49] Speaker 3: huge statistic. Most of us are walking around with blood
[34:53] Speaker 3: sugar levels that resemble a rollercoaster more so than a
[34:57] Speaker 3: steady stream like we want. And when the spike happens,
[35:02] Speaker 3: we're not just having this temporary inconvenience. It's a direct
[35:07] Speaker 3: assault on your cellular longevity. So let's talk about how
[35:12] Speaker 3: to ground the fire and just have a cruising, steady stream.
[35:18] Speaker 3: So if you've you've checked your monitor, or you feel
[35:21] Speaker 3: like this familiar postcarb thump in your chest, the absolute
[35:25] Speaker 3: best thing that you can do is to move. And
[35:29] Speaker 3: I'm not talking about hitting a personal best on a
[35:31] Speaker 3: bench press or running a five K. I'm talking about
[35:34] Speaker 3: a simple, brisk, ten to fifteen minute walk. So think
[35:38] Speaker 3: of your muscles as this giant metabolic sponge. When you
[35:41] Speaker 3: engage in light physical activity, your muscles are requiring energy,
[35:46] Speaker 3: so you don't have to wait for that slow mail
[35:48] Speaker 3: of insulin to unlock the doors. This movement opens up
[35:53] Speaker 3: the pathways and it sucks in that excess glucose out
[35:56] Speaker 3: of your bloodstream and it burns it for fuel. It's
[35:59] Speaker 3: the most natural, effective and immediate way to blunt a
[36:03] Speaker 3: blood sugar spike. So I tell my patients all the time,
[36:06] Speaker 3: a ten minute walk after a meal is worth an
[36:09] Speaker 3: hour in the gym later. So if you're stuck in
[36:12] Speaker 3: an office, walk the stairs, if you're at home, pace
[36:15] Speaker 3: while you're on your phone, all you got to do
[36:17] Speaker 3: is move. Your longevity depends on your muscles ability to
[36:22] Speaker 3: go ahead and get that glucose level where it should be.
[36:26] Speaker 3: So the next step to manage a spike is often
[36:29] Speaker 3: overlooked as well, and that is hydration. So when your
[36:32] Speaker 3: blood sugar is high, your blood ineffectively becomes more like
[36:37] Speaker 3: maple syrup than it does water. It's thick, it's sticky,
[36:40] Speaker 3: and it's hard on your kidneys. And by drinking a
[36:43] Speaker 3: large glass or two of filtered water, you're helping your
[36:46] Speaker 3: body dilute that excess sugar and it assists your kidneys
[36:50] Speaker 3: in filtering at it through your urine, so proper fluid.
[36:55] Speaker 3: That balance is the grease of your metabolic engine. Without it,
[36:58] Speaker 3: your metabolic phoneunction grinds to screeching halt. So reach for
[37:02] Speaker 3: a diet soda. That's just more chemical confusion for your body.
[37:07] Speaker 3: Reach for pure clean water. It's a simple way to
[37:10] Speaker 3: support your system in in help during that blue that
[37:14] Speaker 3: glucose spike. So, now, if you want to arm yourself
[37:18] Speaker 3: with some serious metabolic backup, there are specific nutrients that
[37:22] Speaker 3: act like a swat team for your blood sugar. They're
[37:24] Speaker 3: not we're not talking about magic pills, but they are
[37:27] Speaker 3: powerful biochemical levers that help your body process carbohydrates more efficiently.
[37:32] Speaker 3: And we're talking about magnesium chromium berberine, and we're talking
[37:38] Speaker 3: about a LA. It's a that's a powerful antioxidant that
[37:42] Speaker 3: helps your cells turn glucose into energy. So if you're
[37:47] Speaker 3: someone who struggle with these frequent spikes, having these in
[37:51] Speaker 3: your cabinet is a game changer. So cal while we
[37:55] Speaker 3: want you to put out that fire today, we also
[37:57] Speaker 3: want to prevent that arson from showing up tomorrow. So
[38:01] Speaker 3: the best way to reduce spikes is to stop them
[38:03] Speaker 3: before they start. And the secret isn't necessarily zero carbs,
[38:08] Speaker 3: it's how you dress them up. We want to build
[38:11] Speaker 3: a sugar shield around every meal. This means never eating
[38:14] Speaker 3: a naked carb. If you're going to have a potato
[38:18] Speaker 3: and apple or a piece of sour dough, you must
[38:21] Speaker 3: pair it with a protein or a healthy fat and
[38:24] Speaker 3: also fiber. So when you combine these macro nutrients, you
[38:29] Speaker 3: slow down that gastric emptying and so instead of the
[38:32] Speaker 3: sugar hitting your bloodstring like this wave, it's released in
[38:35] Speaker 3: a slow, steady state. This helps keep your energy stable
[38:39] Speaker 3: and your brain sharp. And also those longevity markers in
[38:43] Speaker 3: the green so kel your body. It's incredibly resilient if
[38:48] Speaker 3: you give it those right tools. Take a walk, drink
[38:52] Speaker 3: the water and consider the nutrients that I mentioned to
[38:56] Speaker 3: keep your metabolism heading in the right direction. And Folks,
[39:00] Speaker 3: if you want to dive deeper into these topics, or
[39:02] Speaker 3: you have a questionnaire your own you'd like me to
[39:04] Speaker 3: answer on air, head over to doctor Bob dot com
[39:07] Speaker 3: and drop me a line. Again, that's doctor Bob dot Com.

[39:18] Speaker 3: but don't go anywhere. I'm doctor Adam Brockman and this
[39:21] Speaker 3: is the Doctor Bob Martin Show. We'll be right back

[39:45] Speaker 3: important message from doctor Earle Mendel, PhD. Pharmacist and author.

[40:48] Speaker 3: Mineral Welcome back to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm
[41:04] Speaker 3: your host, doctor Adam Brockman. So today we've been talking
[41:08] Speaker 3: about the incredible resilience of the human body, and for
[41:12] Speaker 3: this segment, I want to pivot to something that it's
[41:16] Speaker 3: more of a story that challenges everything we know about
[41:20] Speaker 3: biological growth and stability. And it's time for our health
[41:23] Speaker 3: mystery of the week. I want you to imagine for
[41:32] Speaker 3: a second that you're tucking your six year old daughter
[41:34] Speaker 3: in bed. You've done this a thousand times, but tonight,
[41:38] Speaker 3: as you pull the covers up, you notice something and
[41:41] Speaker 3: something's off. Her right foot looks smaller than her left.
[41:45] Speaker 3: You shrug it off as this trick of light. But
[41:49] Speaker 3: over the next five months, the trick of the light
[41:52] Speaker 3: turns into a living nightmare. And we're talking about the
[41:56] Speaker 3: reality of a girl named Valerie and her family and
[41:59] Speaker 3: I to ho and Valerie was a vibrant she was
[42:02] Speaker 3: an active little girl until one month that started to
[42:06] Speaker 3: roll around something that her parents were noticing over time.
[42:10] Speaker 3: It started with a simple complaint of leg pain, the
[42:13] Speaker 3: kind of thing that we usually dismiss as growing pains
[42:17] Speaker 3: with our children. But instead of growing, Valerie began to
[42:21] Speaker 3: do the opposite. She began to shrink. I'm talking about
[42:25] Speaker 3: muscle wasting, invisible atrophy in her right foot that quickly
[42:29] Speaker 3: climbed up her entire right side. And we're not talking
[42:32] Speaker 3: about a little bit of weight loss. Here, folks, we
[42:35] Speaker 3: are talking about a systemic, unilateral recession. Her right ear
[42:40] Speaker 3: is smaller than her left, her right hand, her right arm,
[42:43] Speaker 3: her right leg, all of them physically smaller than the
[42:46] Speaker 3: corresponding parts on her left side. So she had every
[42:50] Speaker 3: test in the book and the result everything came back normal.
[42:54] Speaker 3: And in Valerie's cases, the doctors were leaning towards a
[42:57] Speaker 3: diagnosis of Hemi trophy. And that's a condition where one
[43:01] Speaker 3: side of the body essentially gives up growing or maintaining itself.
[43:05] Speaker 3: So some theories suggest that the left side of her brain,
[43:09] Speaker 3: the side that controls the right side of her body,
[43:12] Speaker 3: may not be developing correctly and it causes us massive
