Dr. Bob Martin joins Dr. Adam Brockman for an hour built entirely around your questions — starting with a listener asking if dialysis is truly the only option, and the hidden markers that signal when it becomes necessary. Then, an 88-year-old caller's mysterious "shaky leg syndrome" leads to a deep dive into essential tremor, orthostatic tremor, and neuropathy. Plus, a listener weighing total knee replacement against her all-natural lifestyle gets real talk on robotic surgery, recovery, and what actually works alongside it — and we revisit the Fauci hearing conversation that's still generating a great deal of listener response.

[1:29] Speaker 2: Welcome, Welcome to Health Talk America. I'm doctor Adam Brockman,
[1:33] Speaker 2: and I'm thrilled you're spending this hour with us wherever
[1:36] Speaker 2: you're tuning in from whatever you've got going on today.
[1:40] Speaker 2: Thank you for carving out this time for your health.
[1:43] Speaker 2: That decision, small as it seems, is one that actually
[1:48] Speaker 2: moves the needle over the course of a week, a month,
[1:52] Speaker 2: a year, and a lifetime. And I'm not doing this
[1:56] Speaker 2: alone today. Sitting right across the mic from me is
[1:59] Speaker 2: the man whose name has been synonymous with health Talk
[2:02] Speaker 2: radio for over three decades. It's doctor Bob Martin. He's
[2:06] Speaker 2: here with me this hour. Doctor Bob, is a pleasure
[2:08] Speaker 2: to have you in the studio. And I know our
[2:11] Speaker 2: listeners feel exactly the same way every time they hear
[2:14] Speaker 2: that familiar voice come through their speakers. How are you today, doing?
[2:18] Speaker 3: Fantastic Great to be in the studio with you today,
[2:20] Speaker 3: Doctor Brockman. Looking forward to helping some people on the
[2:24] Speaker 3: show by taking listener phone calls and health related questions
[2:28] Speaker 3: and comments.
[2:29] Speaker 2: All right, and for those who may be newer to
[2:32] Speaker 2: the program, doctor Bob Martin has spent more than thirty
[2:36] Speaker 2: years building one of the most trusted platforms in national
[2:39] Speaker 2: health media, answering the questions people are afraid to ask
[2:43] Speaker 2: their own doctors, and he chases down the real answers
[2:47] Speaker 2: instead of just the easy ones, and Doctor Bob refuses
[2:50] Speaker 2: to settle for just take this pill and see me
[2:54] Speaker 2: in six months. That philosophy is still baked into everything
[2:58] Speaker 2: we do on the show, and it's exactly the spirit
[3:00] Speaker 2: we're going to carry through today's hour. So here's what
[3:04] Speaker 2: I want you to know before we get moving this hour,
[3:08] Speaker 2: We're going to try to answer as many of your
[3:10] Speaker 2: health related questions as we possibly can. We've got emails,
[3:14] Speaker 2: we've got calls, We've got real people with real concerns
[3:18] Speaker 2: sitting in our inbox and on the phone lines, and
[3:22] Speaker 2: my goal, in Doctor Bob's goal, is to get through
[3:25] Speaker 2: as many of them as this clock will allow. So
[3:28] Speaker 2: if you've ever sent us a question and you wondered
[3:31] Speaker 2: whether it would ever see the light of day, we'll
[3:35] Speaker 2: stick around because today might be your day. And if
[3:37] Speaker 2: you want to join in the conversation, here's your invitation
[3:40] Speaker 2: to do so by calling our hotline. It's eight hundred
[3:43] Speaker 2: six zero six eight A two to two. That's eight
[3:46] Speaker 2: hundred six zero six eight A two to two, or
[3:49] Speaker 2: by submitting your question through our website, which is Healthtalkamerica
[3:54] Speaker 2: dot com. Again it's Healthtalkamerica dot com. Are our hotline
[3:58] Speaker 2: which is eight hundred six or oh six eight a
[4:01] Speaker 2: two to two. All right, doctor Bob, Before we jump
[4:04] Speaker 2: into our first listener question, I want to ask you,
[4:08] Speaker 2: after all these years of doing this, is there anything
[4:12] Speaker 2: that still surprises you about the questions that people send in?
[4:15] Speaker 3: Not really, it's just you know, rehash of the same
[4:19] Speaker 3: people are not getting answers. I mean, this show exists
[4:23] Speaker 3: due to the fact that people are not receiving the
[4:26] Speaker 3: type of care or the results that they seek, and
[4:31] Speaker 3: therefore they're looking for options, and options happen and have
[4:35] Speaker 3: been having on this radio show for as you pointed out,
[4:38] Speaker 3: thirty plus years. I mean, where can you go anywhere
[4:43] Speaker 3: and get free advice from licensed physicians on weekend? On
[4:49] Speaker 3: top of that, well's that's what we do. We try
[4:52] Speaker 3: to fill in the gaps where there are large canyons
[4:55] Speaker 3: of information missing. The consumers deserve to know more about
[4:59] Speaker 3: their health. They need to be more involved with their health.
[5:03] Speaker 3: They need to be encouraged to be their own best
[5:05] Speaker 3: doctors most of the time, which has really been the
[5:08] Speaker 3: feature of this show. And if it weren't for the
[5:10] Speaker 3: fact that there were so many missing elements and answers,
[5:14] Speaker 3: this show would not exist. And we're booming thanks to
[5:18] Speaker 3: the fact that consumers recognized that there is extreme limitations
[5:24] Speaker 3: with the sick care system that we are all grappling
[5:28] Speaker 3: with today. Things need to be changed, and it looks
[5:32] Speaker 3: like slow change is happening thanks to Bobby Kennedy Junior
[5:37] Speaker 3: and the Health and Human Services Secretary is making some
[5:41] Speaker 3: very good strides in trying to change the sick care
[5:45] Speaker 3: system into a more health oriented system that favors consumers
[5:50] Speaker 3: rather than pharmaceutical companies and doctors.
[5:53] Speaker 2: Doctor Brockman, Yeah, and you know, for the callers and
[5:56] Speaker 2: an email questions that we get, I also think it
[5:59] Speaker 2: takes courage to ask some of those questions. You know,
[6:01] Speaker 2: people people will will sit on a health question for
[6:04] Speaker 2: months and sometimes years, almost embarrassed to ask it out
[6:09] Speaker 2: loud to their own physician, and then they write it
[6:13] Speaker 2: to us and say three sentences, or they call in
[6:16] Speaker 2: a in a let us know what the problem is.
[6:18] Speaker 2: With no hesitation. So I think that there's some about
[6:21] Speaker 2: this format knowing they're not the only one that's out
[6:25] Speaker 2: there wondering about these problems, and that gives people the
[6:28] Speaker 2: permission to finally ask those those questions. And this is
[6:33] Speaker 2: an important, doctor Bob, because I guarantee you whatever question
[6:37] Speaker 2: we're about to answer, there are thousands of people listening
[6:39] Speaker 2: right now who have wondered the exact same thing and
[6:43] Speaker 2: never said a word about it. So let's go ahead
[6:45] Speaker 2: and get in into it. This first question comes via
[6:49] Speaker 2: our website, which is Healthtalkamerica dot com, and I want
[6:53] Speaker 2: to read exactly as it was sent into us because
[6:55] Speaker 2: I think the way it's written says something about the
[6:59] Speaker 2: person behind it. This is from a listener named Reverend Denny,
[7:02] Speaker 2: and he writes to us from Port Charlotte, Florida, and
[7:05] Speaker 2: Reverend Denny writes, when a patient is diagnosed as needing dialysis,
[7:11] Speaker 2: are there any alternatives? And what are the markers indicating?
[7:15] Speaker 2: If that is necessary? Blessings and thank you in advance,
[7:18] Speaker 2: and doctor Bob, I'm gonna go ahead and take this
[7:20] Speaker 2: one because, as you know, my father was a juvenile diabetic,
[7:25] Speaker 2: a type one diabetic, and he had, you know, as
[7:28] Speaker 2: the lifetime of that which, again, having type one diabetes,
[7:32] Speaker 2: you're talking about the course of thirty plus years with it,
[7:36] Speaker 2: you know, kidney issues arise. So I do want to
[7:38] Speaker 2: answer this one to the best of my ability, and
[7:41] Speaker 2: Reverend Denny, thank you for that question, and thanks for
[7:43] Speaker 2: the blessing right back at you. This is again, this
[7:47] Speaker 2: is a big one, and this question I know resonates
[7:48] Speaker 2: with an enormous number of listeners and their families because
[7:51] Speaker 2: kidney disease doesn't always announce itself loudly until sometimes it's
[7:55] Speaker 2: progressed quite far. So if we break this into two parts,
[7:59] Speaker 2: there workers and then the alternatives out there on the
[8:03] Speaker 2: marker's side, physicians are primarily watching kidney function through a
[8:06] Speaker 2: measurement called GFR, which estimates how efficiently your kidneys are
[8:12] Speaker 2: filtering waste out of your blood. And so when that
[8:14] Speaker 2: number drops into a certain range it's generally speaking about
[8:18] Speaker 2: ten to fifteen percent of normal kidney capacity, then dialysis
[8:22] Speaker 2: becomes part of that conversation. So now, Denny, to answer
[8:26] Speaker 2: your real question, are there alternatives? Well, here's what I
[8:30] Speaker 2: want to carefully say, and to be honest, because I
[8:33] Speaker 2: don't want to over promise. Once kidney function has declined
[8:37] Speaker 2: to the point where dialysis is medically indicated, and then
[8:41] Speaker 2: dialysis or transplantation or functionally the treatments that keep the
[8:44] Speaker 2: patient alive. So it's not place necessarily for guest work,
[8:48] Speaker 2: but and it's a big butt. The story often doesn't
[8:52] Speaker 2: start there. In the years and sometimes decades leading up
[8:55] Speaker 2: to that point, there's a lot of room for intervention
[8:57] Speaker 2: that can slow that progression kidney decline, and in some
[9:01] Speaker 2: cases prevent someone from ever reaching the point where they
[9:04] Speaker 2: need dialysis. So that includes aggressive management of the two
[9:09] Speaker 2: biggest drivers of kidney damage, and that's blood pressure and
[9:13] Speaker 2: blood sugar, because uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes are by a
[9:18] Speaker 2: wide margin, the leading cause of kidney failure in this country.
[9:22] Speaker 2: That includes dietary strategies that reduce that workload on the kidneys,
[9:27] Speaker 2: often meaning careful attention to sodium, protein intake, and you know,
[9:34] Speaker 2: basically you know even if you're looking at potassium and
[9:38] Speaker 2: phosphorus management as the function of kidney's decline, So practitioners
[9:42] Speaker 2: will also frequently look at anemia since kidney disease often
[9:47] Speaker 2: interferes with the body's ability to produce red blood cells
[9:51] Speaker 2: and at reducing or eliminating the medications that are basically
[9:55] Speaker 2: they're very hard on the kidneys and including certain over
[9:59] Speaker 2: the counter pain really that are taken on a regular basis.
[10:03] Speaker 2: And there's a growing body of interest in specific nutritional
[10:07] Speaker 2: and lifestyle interventions that support the kidney health earlier in
[10:12] Speaker 2: that disease process. And we're thinking about things that manage inflammation,
[10:15] Speaker 2: support that healthy blood vessel function in maintaining adequate hydration. So, again,
[10:22] Speaker 2: Reverend Dendy, my honest recommendation is this, if this question
[10:26] Speaker 2: is coming from a personal experience our loved ones diagnosis,
[10:29] Speaker 2: the earlier you get involved with this and start tracking
[10:33] Speaker 2: those markers consistently, the more options stay on that table.
[10:36] Speaker 2: So please, please don't wait for a crisis point to
[10:39] Speaker 2: start asking these questions. You're already asking the right ones,
[10:42] Speaker 2: and I put you ahead of where most people are. Okay,
[10:46] Speaker 2: So that's just one of the many questions we're going
[10:48] Speaker 2: to get to this hour. We've got more emails and
[10:51] Speaker 2: caller questions coming ahead, and plenty of ground to cover
[10:53] Speaker 2: with doctor bobas hours stay right there. Health Talk America
[10:55] Speaker 2: will be right back after this. Doctor Adam Brockman here.
[11:01] Speaker 2: You've heard us say it before. Your mouth is the
[11:04] Speaker 2: gateway to your body's health. But what if your dental
[11:07] Speaker 2: problems could actually be repaired, not just patched. If you're
[11:12] Speaker 2: struggling with painful gums, jawbone loss, implant failure, are chronic
[11:16] Speaker 2: dental infections, don't settle for more drilling or medications that
[11:20] Speaker 2: just mask the problem. At American Holistic Care Center, healing
[11:25] Speaker 2: starts from the inside out. Imagine regenerating healthy gum and
[11:29] Speaker 2: bone tissue, eliminating toxic materials, in restoring balance to your

[12:44] Speaker 2: you want to join in the conversation, our hotline is open.

[12:54] Speaker 2: two two or our website Healthtalkamerica dot com. Okay, doctor Bob.
[12:59] Speaker 2: Before the break, we were talking about a caller question
[13:02] Speaker 2: Reverend Denny on on kidney dialysis, and it's such an
[13:05] Speaker 2: important topic to discuss, and I want to go ahead
[13:07] Speaker 2: and get your your opinion on this topic.
[13:11] Speaker 3: I'd love to comment on it. Reverend Denny, Thank you
[13:15] Speaker 3: so very much for sending in making the effort to
[13:18] Speaker 3: send that email into our website at Healthtalkamerica dot com,
[13:21] Speaker 3: because this is going to help. Literally, as you pointed out,
[13:24] Speaker 3: this is the power doctor Brockman of Talk Radio. We're
[13:29] Speaker 3: not only able to help Reverend Denny. There are as
[13:32] Speaker 3: you pointed out, there are thousands of people who are
[13:34] Speaker 3: grappling with the same thing that are headed for a
[13:36] Speaker 3: dialysis center, who are headed to limit their quality of
[13:42] Speaker 3: life and shorten their lifespan because their doctors, unfortunately are
[13:48] Speaker 3: carefully monitoring their kidney disease until it gets worse, going
[13:52] Speaker 3: from stage one to stage two to stage three. Okay,
[13:55] Speaker 3: here we are stage four. Let's put you on the
[13:58] Speaker 3: kidney transplant list. Now. It is a tragedy and it's
[14:02] Speaker 3: so unnecessary. If you know what you're doing, and there
[14:06] Speaker 3: are there are doctors out there who are trained in
[14:09] Speaker 3: functional medicine like we are, and advanced alternative medicine like
[14:15] Speaker 3: we are, you just have to learn how to find them.
[14:18] Speaker 3: They exist, seek them out or we're here for you
[14:22] Speaker 3: every weekend for three hours at free ninety nine no cost,
[14:29] Speaker 3: and have been on the air for thirty years. Sorry,
[14:31] Speaker 3: so what to do?
[14:34] Speaker 2: Well?
[14:34] Speaker 3: This is kind of up my alli. This is my
[14:37] Speaker 3: wheelhouse because I used to teach doctors how to read
[14:40] Speaker 3: blood tests from a preventive, proactive, nutritional in fact I
[14:47] Speaker 3: status position. In fact, I taught my patients how to
[14:50] Speaker 3: do this. I would put ten to twenty patients in
[14:54] Speaker 3: a room. We would have the patients get blood tests.
[14:58] Speaker 3: I would analyze every single one the blood tests. My
[15:01] Speaker 3: staff would prepare their report of findings and recommendations, and
[15:04] Speaker 3: I put them in a room and we go through
[15:06] Speaker 3: every single blood test on their panels, explaining to them
[15:10] Speaker 3: what they are, what they mean when they're high, what
[15:13] Speaker 3: they mean when they're low? What happens to these things?
[15:17] Speaker 3: And you know, it was one of those things that
[15:19] Speaker 3: patients couldn't believe that they could literally learn how to
[15:22] Speaker 3: read their own blood tests, and so they left there empowered.
[15:26] Speaker 3: And we're here talking about kidney function and a standard
[15:29] Speaker 3: laboratory test. When you're dealing with kidney function, well, doctors
[15:32] Speaker 3: only look at two or three different markers, typically in
[15:36] Speaker 3: a comprehensive blood test, that is creatin blood uryin, nitrogen
[15:42] Speaker 3: bun or blood blood ury and nitrogen slash creatin ratio.
[15:47] Speaker 3: And what they do doctors do is they carefully watch
[15:50] Speaker 3: for kidney challenge patients. It's creat any level and they say, well,
[15:54] Speaker 3: it's not really high enough to give you drugs, or
[15:57] Speaker 3: you're not high enough to go on dialysis, so well,
[16:00] Speaker 3: just keep an eye on it. Well, what they're saying
[16:01] Speaker 3: is to keep an eye on it until it gets worse,
[16:03] Speaker 3: which means do nothing until you know you crash. Not necessary.
[16:07] Speaker 3: Here's what you do if you want to have kidneys
[16:10] Speaker 3: for a lifetime, ask your doctor to start running a
[16:14] Speaker 3: specific type of blood test, which is typically not run
[16:16] Speaker 3: in a typical medical setting. And that blood test is
[16:20] Speaker 3: called systatin C, and I'm gonna spell it here. This
[16:24] Speaker 3: is important. Everybody has two kidneys and you should have
[16:27] Speaker 3: them for a lifetime. Pystatin C spelled cy st a
[16:32] Speaker 3: tin C and that should be between a range of
[16:36] Speaker 3: zero point six and one point two. Anything higher net
[16:40] Speaker 3: you're headed for kidney disease. Now, what do you do
[16:42] Speaker 3: to preserve your kidneys? All the things that doctor Brockman
[16:45] Speaker 3: mentioned previously, watching your protein intake. Excess protein not good
[16:50] Speaker 3: for the kidneys. Too many people in the United States,
[16:53] Speaker 3: I think, take way too much protein. We are protein addicts,
[16:58] Speaker 3: and it's driven by the proteins, the people who are
[17:00] Speaker 3: selling protein powders and everything else. We need protein. It's
[17:03] Speaker 3: an important macronutrient, but I think a lot of people
[17:06] Speaker 3: have gone overboard on it, especially the muscleheads out there.
[17:09] Speaker 3: They go crazy. And that's okay as long as you're exercising,
[17:13] Speaker 3: but most Americans aren't exercising, so they get in too
[17:16] Speaker 3: much protein in their diet standard American dye. The other thing,
[17:19] Speaker 3: of course, you mentioned the stuff with salt and potassium
[17:23] Speaker 3: and water, all critical. But one thing that's not mentioned
[17:27] Speaker 3: doctor Brockman, which is killing kidneys is ibuprofen. You want
[17:31] Speaker 3: to kill your kidneys faster than anything, Start taking motrin
[17:34] Speaker 3: and advil and ibuprofile on a regular basis, and you
[17:38] Speaker 3: will definitely need to live real close to a real
[17:42] Speaker 3: dialysis center because you're going to need one someday. So
[17:45] Speaker 3: and then you start looking at what foods that help kidneys,
[17:49] Speaker 3: like vegetables, commaflour, blueberries, red belt peppers, garlic, onions. These
[17:55] Speaker 3: are foods that the kidneys love. And the more you
[17:58] Speaker 3: eat of them and all all the other things, the
[18:01] Speaker 3: more likely you are to have kidneys for a lifetime,
[18:04] Speaker 3: which is the way our creator wanted it.
[18:07] Speaker 2: Great information, doctor Bob. And again, we could spend a
[18:10] Speaker 2: whole hour on this on this topic, and and you
[18:14] Speaker 2: know we'll come back to it eventually again because there'll
[18:16] Speaker 2: be more more questions. Okay, let's go ahead and get
[18:19] Speaker 2: to a caller question. It's a it's a listener to
[18:23] Speaker 2: His name is Jack, and he's calling in from Charles City, Iowa.
[18:28] Speaker 4: My name is Jack. I'm calling from Charles City, Iowa.
[18:33] Speaker 4: I'm calling because I have what I call shaky legs
[18:36] Speaker 4: syndrome when I walk, but if I try to put
[18:42] Speaker 4: on tower series my seaton, my ledger has shaken. So
[18:47] Speaker 4: also when I'm walking there shaking. I live in the country,
[18:53] Speaker 4: and when I put on my heavy boots to go outside,
[18:57] Speaker 4: it helps a little bit to stabilized me. As soon
[19:01] Speaker 4: as I take the boots off to see heat can returns.
[19:07] Speaker 4: And I did a little bit of shaking in my
[19:09] Speaker 4: hands as well. I'm not mentioning that ors O. And
[19:14] Speaker 4: I'd like to have something that would stop this sakness
[19:19] Speaker 4: so I could be more stable as I'm locking andy
[19:25] Speaker 4: and put on sower shoes or boots or shoes.
[19:31] Speaker 2: All right, well, Jack, thank you for calling in, and
[19:35] Speaker 2: you gave some great detail to me. That key detail
[19:38] Speaker 2: is that it improves noticeably when you're wearing heavy boots,
[19:42] Speaker 2: and that's a that's a meaningful clue here. It's it's
[19:45] Speaker 2: more related to how that nervous system is processing that
[19:49] Speaker 2: balance and appropriate sceptive the feedback, I mean the signals
[19:53] Speaker 2: effrot your brain gets is trying to get where his
[19:57] Speaker 2: legs and feet are in space, and it's getting lost
[19:59] Speaker 2: somewhere in the trans I do encourage you, Jack to
[20:02] Speaker 2: go back and listen to an episode that we did
[20:06] Speaker 2: about a month ago. And talking about essential tremors. And
[20:11] Speaker 2: we did have an opportunity to be part of a
[20:13] Speaker 2: study for that, and if you want to sign up
[20:17] Speaker 2: for the study, go to this website. It's bioinsights dot
[20:22] Speaker 2: com and backslash study. That's b io I N S
[20:28] Speaker 2: I G h T S dot com, backslash Study, bio
[20:32] Speaker 2: insights dot com, backslash study and doctor Bob. I'll go
[20:35] Speaker 2: ahead and let you answer this. We've got about a
[20:37] Speaker 2: minute left before break.
[20:38] Speaker 3: Okay, I think Jack, thanks for your call. I think
[20:40] Speaker 3: you're right about what is going on with Jack. And
[20:43] Speaker 3: of course when you have shaky lake syndrome and you shake,
[20:46] Speaker 3: you think of it, Jack, like a car that's just
[20:49] Speaker 3: running out of gas as it starts to sputter and
[20:52] Speaker 3: it starts to jerk forward and intermittently, that's running out
[20:56] Speaker 3: of fuel. And fuel is the spark that moves the engine, right,
[21:00] Speaker 3: and the same thing here. Nerves are the firing elements
[21:03] Speaker 3: that move the muscles. And so there's some type of
[21:06] Speaker 3: an interruption that could be related to blood sugar. It
[21:08] Speaker 3: could be related to a spinal problem as high as
[21:11] Speaker 3: in your neck area that feeds your entire body. It
[21:15] Speaker 3: could be related to a number of things, and I
[21:17] Speaker 3: think that the best advice I can give you here
[21:21] Speaker 3: is to find a functional doctor, because obviously you haven't
[21:24] Speaker 3: found one, you wouldn't be calling into the show that
[21:26] Speaker 3: can really investigate this, rather than a typical conventional medical
[21:32] Speaker 3: approach to this, which has extreme limitations other than just
[21:36] Speaker 3: loading you up on pharmaceuticals and calling it today.
[21:39] Speaker 2: All right, Jack, thank you again for your call, and
[21:41] Speaker 2: trust us with the question. That's just one of the calls.
[21:43] Speaker 2: We're working through this hour. Everyone, We've got plenty more ahead.
[21:48] Speaker 2: Stick around. Help Talk America returns right after the short break.
[22:12] Speaker 2: Welcome back, everybody. This is Health Talk America, doctor Adam
[22:15] Speaker 2: Brockman here with doctor Bob Martin, and we're glad to
[22:18] Speaker 2: have you back with us. And if you're just joining
[22:20] Speaker 2: in the conversation, you can find everything from today's show,
[22:23] Speaker 2: plus our full library of past episodes at Healthtalkamerica dot com.
[22:28] Speaker 2: That's health talk America dot com. And also you can
[22:32] Speaker 2: call in our Coller hotline that's eight hundred six zero
[22:36] Speaker 2: six eight eight two two. Eight hundred six zero six
[22:40] Speaker 2: eight eight two two. But before we get back in
[22:43] Speaker 2: today's questions, I want to take a moment to talk
[22:46] Speaker 2: about a product line that's become a real staple and
[22:49] Speaker 2: a lot of our listeners daily routines, Doctor Bob, and
[22:52] Speaker 2: that's the Spry Dental Defense System. You know, Doctor Bob,
[22:56] Speaker 2: We talked constantly on the show about the small daily
[23:00] Speaker 2: habits that add up to real long term health, and
[23:04] Speaker 2: oral health is one that people underestimate more than almost
[23:08] Speaker 2: any other. Here's something a lot of people don't realize.
[23:11] Speaker 2: Your mouth is essentially the front door to your entire body.
[23:15] Speaker 2: What happens in there doesn't just stay there. Gum inflammation,
[23:20] Speaker 2: bacterial imbalance, even the pH of your saliva can ripple
[23:24] Speaker 2: outward and connect to your cardiovascular health, including your immune function,
[23:29] Speaker 2: and much more. That's exactly why both Doctor Bob and
[23:33] Speaker 2: I tell listeners and patients alike about the Spray Dental
[23:37] Speaker 2: Defense System. Spry makes oral care products that are built
[23:41] Speaker 2: around xylotol, and that's a natural sweetener that does something remarkable.
[23:46] Speaker 2: It actually makes it harder for cavity causing bacteria to
[23:49] Speaker 2: stick to your teeth and thrive in your mouth. Instead
[23:52] Speaker 2: of just masking problems with mint flavor and calling it
[23:57] Speaker 2: a day, Spry is designed to actively sh your oral
[24:00] Speaker 2: environment to a healthier direction every single time you use it.
[24:05] Speaker 2: Spry's lineup includes Xylatl gum and mints for on the
[24:09] Speaker 2: go protection between brushings, along with Spry toothpaste and Spry
[24:13] Speaker 2: Mouth Wrench that skip the harsh ingredients found in a
[24:17] Speaker 2: lot of other oral care products. There's no artificial sweeteners
[24:21] Speaker 2: that you can't pronounce, no unnecessary additives, just clean, effective
[24:26] Speaker 2: formulations built around the science of a healthier mouth. And
[24:30] Speaker 2: I like recommending Spry because if it's so naturally into
[24:34] Speaker 2: an already busy day, keep the gum in your car,
[24:38] Speaker 2: your purse, your desk drawer a few pieces after meals.
[24:42] Speaker 2: It's a simple, almost effortless habit that supports your teeth
[24:46] Speaker 2: and gums around the clock and for dry mouth, for
[24:49] Speaker 2: cavity prevention. For anyone wanting a cleaner approach to oral care,
[24:53] Speaker 2: Spry is absolutely worth a look. Learn more and find
[24:57] Speaker 2: their full product line at their website, which is Clear
[25:00] Speaker 2: dot com that's spelled x L e a r dot com.
[25:03] Speaker 2: They are the makers of Clear nasal sprays, which are
[25:07] Speaker 2: also powered by Xila Talp and so doctor Bob, I
[25:11] Speaker 2: know that you use spray and you've used spray for
[25:13] Speaker 2: years and can you give some insight from our listeners.
[25:16] Speaker 3: Well, it's an every day, everyday event for my family.
[25:20] Speaker 3: We love our dentists, but we never want to see them,
[25:24] Speaker 3: you know, that's the whole goal. I mean, who wants
[25:26] Speaker 3: to hear the sound of well? I don't want that
[25:29] Speaker 3: sound in my ear ever again. So that's why we
[25:31] Speaker 3: use the spray dental defense system.
[25:33] Speaker 2: All right, doctor Bob, let's get back into listener questions
[25:36] Speaker 2: just a minute. But before we do, I want to
[25:38] Speaker 2: circle back to something that we covered recently on this
[25:41] Speaker 2: program that has generated more listener responses than almost anything
[25:46] Speaker 2: else we've talked about lately. And you know exactly what
[25:49] Speaker 2: I'm talking about, doctor Bob. We're talking about the Fauci Hearing.
[25:53] Speaker 2: The conversation that we had on that and our our
[25:55] Speaker 2: phone lines in the inbox has been lit up ever
[25:58] Speaker 2: since that aired, so so for those of you who
[26:00] Speaker 2: missed it, we spent real time breaking down the audio
[26:04] Speaker 2: and the testimony from the hearing, including the exchanges, the
[26:08] Speaker 2: claims made, the moments that raised eyebrows across the entire
[26:12] Speaker 2: political spectrum. And Doctor Bob, I have to tell you
[26:16] Speaker 2: the response from this audience, has been huge. We've heard
[26:20] Speaker 2: from listeners who felt validated, listeners who wanted more context,
[26:25] Speaker 2: and listeners who disagreed with even parts of our take.
[26:29] Speaker 2: And honestly, that's exactly the kind of engagement that we
[26:32] Speaker 2: do want on this program. And we're not necessarily here
[26:35] Speaker 2: to tell the listeners exactly how to think or what
[26:39] Speaker 2: to think. We're here to lay out what was actually
[26:41] Speaker 2: said and hopefully you, the listener, can draw your own conclusion, Doctor.
[26:46] Speaker 3: Bob, well as listeners who have been with this radio
[26:50] Speaker 3: show for a number of years when this whole thing
[26:54] Speaker 3: started with COVID back at the end of twenty nineteen,
[26:58] Speaker 3: twenty twenty, know that from the very beginning of the
[27:03] Speaker 3: COVID announcement, we advised our listeners to be very careful
[27:09] Speaker 3: due diligence on their part, and be careful because it
[27:14] Speaker 3: was an experiment in the process. And as a result
[27:17] Speaker 3: of my throwing down an opinion on this I was
[27:23] Speaker 3: deplatformed from Facebook. I had thousands and thousands of listeners
[27:29] Speaker 3: viewers who logged onto my Facebook account to hear about
[27:35] Speaker 3: and read about my opinion on a whole variety of topics.
[27:38] Speaker 3: It was tied right into this very radio show, and unfortunately,
[27:43] Speaker 3: but I'm proud of it. We were right on the
[27:48] Speaker 3: leading edge of warning consumers that this was an experimental shot,
[27:52] Speaker 3: it's extremely dangerous, buyer beware, and they knew right away
[27:57] Speaker 3: that doctor Bob and his family would never go anywhere
[28:00] Speaker 3: near a COVID shot. And that was the position that
[28:04] Speaker 3: I took. And I'm happy to say now all those
[28:08] Speaker 3: conspiracy theories that some people thought were going on the
[28:12] Speaker 3: anti vaxxer, all that have come true, and people were going,
[28:16] Speaker 3: oh my gosh, I certainly wish I would have listened
[28:20] Speaker 3: to doctor Bob back in twenty twenty, twenty one, twenty two.
[28:24] Speaker 3: So here we go, Fauci again. We're not done with
[28:26] Speaker 3: this thing because they're still uncovering Lie's deception dishonesty. In
[28:32] Speaker 3: his emails, in his text messaging to this very day,
[28:37] Speaker 3: doctor Bachmann, he was saying back then that he was
[28:42] Speaker 3: questioning along with the head of the FDA, the Food
[28:45] Speaker 3: Drug Administration, and the head of other governmental agencies. They
[28:52] Speaker 3: were talking back and forth about whether or not pregnant
[28:56] Speaker 3: women it would be safe to give a second COVID
[28:59] Speaker 3: show to pregnant women for fear of miscarriage. And in
[29:04] Speaker 3: his writings. He questioned it, and of course the head
[29:08] Speaker 3: of the FDA and the head of the CDC was
[29:10] Speaker 3: on that call, on those exchanges with doctor Fauci, and
[29:15] Speaker 3: he voiced concern about it, about the fact that you know,
[29:19] Speaker 3: it could disrupt and cause spontaneous abortion in a pregnant
[29:24] Speaker 3: woman in her first trimester, and nobody was listening, and
[29:27] Speaker 3: then he changed suddenly and went quiet, did not disclose
[29:32] Speaker 3: that to the public. And where what do we have, Well,
[29:35] Speaker 3: eighty two percent increase in spontaneous abortion, abortion in pregnant
[29:41] Speaker 3: women in their first trimester if they got a COVID shot.
[29:46] Speaker 3: He hit it. That's Anthony Fauci, that is the head
[29:51] Speaker 3: of the National Institutes of Health at the time. The
[29:54] Speaker 3: head of the FDA also hid that information, and the
[29:58] Speaker 3: head of the CDC, all of them were conspiring to
[30:02] Speaker 3: hide that information in order to support the pharmaceutical companies
[30:06] Speaker 3: who are rolling out this experimental clot shot frankensteinshot, whatever
[30:10] Speaker 3: you want to call it. And we were really at
[30:16] Speaker 3: that point in time trying to encourage consumers to think
[30:21] Speaker 3: twice and be very very careful with their decision about it.
[30:25] Speaker 3: And we're glad that we did and I'm glad to
[30:27] Speaker 3: be having been deplatformed from Facebook over my opinion on it.
[30:33] Speaker 3: I got to tell you.
[30:35] Speaker 2: Well, folks again, if you missed the conversation on the
[30:38] Speaker 2: Fauci hearing that we did on the show, go back
[30:40] Speaker 2: and listen for yourself. Find it at Healthtalkamerica dot com
[30:44] Speaker 2: and keep those calls and emails coming because clearly this
[30:47] Speaker 2: is a conversation our audience wants to keep having. Okay,
[30:51] Speaker 2: we've got more listener questions coming right up. Stay with us.

[32:06] Speaker 2: want to talk to men who are watching their hair
[32:09] Speaker 2: disappear and wondering if anything actually works. Here's what I

[33:13] Speaker 2: All right, we are rolling right along here on Health
[33:16] Speaker 2: Talk America. Doctor Adam Brockman here with doctor Bob Martin,
[33:19] Speaker 2: and I'm glad you're still with us. For anything that
[33:22] Speaker 2: you've missed this hour or any of our past episodes,
[33:25] Speaker 2: you can find it waiting for you at Healthtalkamerica dot com.
[33:30] Speaker 2: That's Healthtalkamerica dot com. You can also join in the
[33:33] Speaker 2: conversation by calling our caller hotline, which is eight hundred
[33:38] Speaker 2: six zero six eight a two two. Again it's eight
[33:41] Speaker 2: hundred six zero six eight eight two two. Okay. Next up,
[33:45] Speaker 2: we have a question coming from Jenna, and she's calling
[33:50] Speaker 2: in from Walla, Walla, Washington.
[33:56] Speaker 7: Hi. My name is Jenna, and I'm in Washington State,
[34:01] Speaker 7: Walla Walla, and I'm going to go in and well,
[34:05] Speaker 7: I want to ask first whether or not a total
[34:08] Speaker 7: knee replacement is a great thing. I'm bone on bone, bone,
[34:12] Speaker 7: spurs all over, and is there anything else? I've been
[34:15] Speaker 7: taking collagen, I take humeric, I take you name it, romaline,
[34:20] Speaker 7: all kinds of different things. I'm physically fit. I exercise,
[34:24] Speaker 7: trying to build up the muscles all around the knees.
[34:27] Speaker 7: But I'm at a point now where I'm just like,
[34:30] Speaker 7: I need to do something so that I just have
[34:32] Speaker 7: more mobility and everything, even though I think I really do.
[34:36] Speaker 7: I ride my bike, So any advice, I'm looking at
[34:40] Speaker 7: two different knee surgeons at this point and just wanted
[34:45] Speaker 7: to see what you guys recommended as far as that
[34:47] Speaker 7: now they have robot assist, so they're more clear as
[34:53] Speaker 7: far as being able to make sure what they do
[34:55] Speaker 7: and clean up and cut and if you even think
[34:58] Speaker 7: that's a great idea, the PP and R, I've tried
[35:02] Speaker 7: that in my shoulders before. They want to do steroids.
[35:05] Speaker 7: I don't want to do steroids and total natural supplements
[35:10] Speaker 7: be well. So any advice that you guys can give me,
[35:14] Speaker 7: that'd be great.
[35:15] Speaker 4: Thank you.
[35:17] Speaker 2: Okay, doctor Bob, you want to start this one?
[35:19] Speaker 3: Yes, Jenna, thank you so much for your call. A
[35:22] Speaker 3: lot of people will relate to this because they too
[35:25] Speaker 3: have been given the old bone on bone scenario, which
[35:29] Speaker 3: we hear as doctors all the time. That's a doctor
[35:32] Speaker 3: trying to convince a patient to go forward with a
[35:36] Speaker 3: life changing procedure knee replacement, and it couldn't be in
[35:40] Speaker 3: many cases further from the truth. First of all, I
[35:45] Speaker 3: would ask the question, if you do so many healthy things,
[35:48] Speaker 3: and it sounds like you're doing a lot of great things,
[35:50] Speaker 3: and you're very aware as a consumer about your own health,
[35:55] Speaker 3: why do you have spurs to begin with? How did
[35:57] Speaker 3: those spurs form? And when you get right down to it,
[36:00] Speaker 3: spurs only form when there's trauma or ongoing friction adverse biomechanics,
[36:07] Speaker 3: meaning that if you've got good structure, you've got good function,
[36:11] Speaker 3: and in your case, you've had poor function within the knee,
[36:15] Speaker 3: and the body is trying to build a bridge by
[36:17] Speaker 3: forming spurs to shut you down so you don't further
[36:20] Speaker 3: damage it. So we have tried to unwind how you
[36:23] Speaker 3: got there in the first place, rather than make you
[36:26] Speaker 3: into the bionic woman. First the knees, then the hips,
[36:29] Speaker 3: everything else behind it. The surgeons will have their way
[36:32] Speaker 3: with you if you say yes, and you're saying no,
[36:36] Speaker 3: and I like that but I would I would consider
[36:39] Speaker 3: biomechanics first and foremost because to me, that's the number
[36:42] Speaker 3: one cause of bad knees. Poor biomechanics, poor body biomechanics
[36:47] Speaker 3: than traumas that are un untreated and left untreated. And
[36:52] Speaker 3: I would start looking into shockwave therapy or softwave therapy
[36:57] Speaker 3: incredible for helping to break up the spurs. You can
[37:01] Speaker 3: do that. You can enrich the blood supply to the
[37:04] Speaker 3: area relieve spasm. Doctor Brockman will address something called PRP
[37:09] Speaker 3: plasma rich platelets and stem cell injections. I love that stuff.
[37:15] Speaker 3: But first you got to think of the biomechanics. Start
[37:17] Speaker 3: at the bottom orthotics for the feet, so that you're
[37:21] Speaker 3: unbalanced in your foot, because often the imbalance starts at
[37:24] Speaker 3: the foot. Then find a chiropractor who can balance up
[37:28] Speaker 3: your hips and your lower back. And get an activator
[37:32] Speaker 3: trained activator methods trained DC doctor of chiropractic, a chiropractic
[37:37] Speaker 3: physician to make sure the knees are not out of alignment.
[37:40] Speaker 3: The discs that you do have, and I guarantee you
[37:42] Speaker 3: still have it. Don't believe that bone and bone thing.
[37:45] Speaker 3: They told my sister this thirty years ago, told her
[37:49] Speaker 3: she'd need knee replacements. I'm happy to say my sister
[37:51] Speaker 3: still has her knees and they're functioning well after she
[37:54] Speaker 3: spent two hours in my two months basically in the
[37:58] Speaker 3: back of my clinic getting care. So that's what I
[38:01] Speaker 3: was suggest And there's a lot of other nutritional things,
[38:03] Speaker 3: but I want to let doctor Brockman also win on this.
[38:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a great topic, and this is actually one,
[38:10] Speaker 2: doctor Bob. As you know, I'm finishing up a book
[38:13] Speaker 2: on regenda medicine called Before the Knife that should be
[38:16] Speaker 2: out early next year. But when we're talking about regenda medicine,
[38:20] Speaker 2: this is absolutely gold here. It's the ancient wisdom and
[38:24] Speaker 2: it's meeting that modern technology, and we we know so
[38:27] Speaker 2: much about it now. It sounds like the procedure that
[38:30] Speaker 2: you had. I think you were mentioning it was PRP
[38:34] Speaker 2: and in most cases that is effective. But then you
[38:36] Speaker 2: also have you have stem cells, you have prolo therapy.
[38:39] Speaker 2: You can bind a good combination of those all together,
[38:43] Speaker 2: and you have a winning, a winning formula. And I
[38:46] Speaker 2: also want to go ahead. We just got a minute
[38:48] Speaker 2: or so before break. This is another topic, doctor Bob,
[38:50] Speaker 2: that we could we could spend a whole hour on
[38:53] Speaker 2: you know, a whole three hours on absolutely, But I
[38:56] Speaker 2: want to point toward our friends at Holistic Care dot com.
[39:01] Speaker 2: That's spelled h O l I S T I C
[39:05] Speaker 2: C A r E dot com and their hotline is
[39:10] Speaker 2: eight seven seven two zero seven zero eight two four.
[39:13] Speaker 2: I'll come back to that. They're a fantastic resource for
[39:16] Speaker 2: exactly this kind of situation. They're practitioners that take that
[39:20] Speaker 2: whole body approach to joint in mobility support, looking at
[39:23] Speaker 2: that inflammation, the nutrition, and they promote natural recovery strategies
[39:28] Speaker 2: together rather than just treating that knee and isolation. So
[39:32] Speaker 2: I encourage you to visit their website again, that's Holisticcare
[39:36] Speaker 2: dot com or call them. They got great specialists willing
[39:40] Speaker 2: to help you. That number eight seven seven to zero
[39:43] Speaker 2: seven zero eight two four and explore what they have
[39:47] Speaker 2: to offer before you go under the night. All right,
[39:51] Speaker 2: doctor Bob, we do got to take a short break, Jenna,
[39:53] Speaker 2: thank you for calling in, but we got more in
[39:55] Speaker 2: just a moment. Hair on Healthtalk America.
[40:03] Speaker 8: Wow, kids don't just bring home homework, They bring home germs.
[40:08] Speaker 8: And those germs don't just stay with them, They spread
[40:11] Speaker 8: to the whole household. That's why Clear Nasal Spray was
[40:14] Speaker 8: created by a practicing physician to give parents and grandparents
[40:17] Speaker 8: peace of mind. You may not think about it, but
[40:20] Speaker 8: your nose is filtering out a semi truck full of
[40:22] Speaker 8: air every single day. Clear isn't just another spray. It

[41:03] Speaker 1: What's wrong within, What's wrong within, What's wrong within? Continents?
[41:15] Speaker 2: And that brings us to the close of this hour
[41:18] Speaker 2: of Health Talk America. I'm doctor Adam Brockman alongside doctor
[41:21] Speaker 2: Bob Martin and doctor Bob What a rich hour of
[41:25] Speaker 2: conversation this turned out to be we covered a lot
[41:27] Speaker 2: of ground. We started with Reverend Denny and Port Charlotte,
[41:30] Speaker 2: Florida asking about dialysis. Then we moved on to Jack
[41:36] Speaker 2: and Charles City describing that shaking lake syndrome. And then
[41:40] Speaker 2: we talked with Jenna and Walla Walla Washington, Wayne In
[41:45] Speaker 2: about the total knee replacement. And along the way we
[41:48] Speaker 2: revisited that conversation on the Fauci hearing testimony, which clearly
[41:53] Speaker 2: struck a nerve with so many of our listeners. And
[41:57] Speaker 2: you know, I met what I said. Go back and
[41:59] Speaker 2: listen to that full breakdown at Healthtalkamerica dot com. If
[42:02] Speaker 2: you haven't already, Doctor Bob, is there anything that stood
[42:07] Speaker 2: out to you as we wrap up this hour, any
[42:09] Speaker 2: last words of wisdom or a health tip?
[42:12] Speaker 3: Yes, people need to remember the only bad health question
[42:16] Speaker 3: is the one you're not asking. Please don't be intimidated
[42:19] Speaker 3: by your doctor, meaning that when you have a health concern,
[42:24] Speaker 3: the last thing on your mind should be, Oh, if
[42:27] Speaker 3: I don't want to ask my doctor that my doctor
[42:29] Speaker 3: will will will make me feel like I'm questioning his expertise. No,
[42:35] Speaker 3: remember the relationship ladies and gentlemen your doctor is your employee.
[42:40] Speaker 3: You are the employer. Why on earth would you not
[42:44] Speaker 3: want to answer ask that question of the provider to
[42:48] Speaker 3: your health. And if you have that kind of guilt,
[42:51] Speaker 3: maybe you need to change doctors because that doctor has
[42:53] Speaker 3: made you feel that way, feel guilty, or has talked
[42:57] Speaker 3: down to you, or you think that he or she
[42:59] Speaker 3: is in her and you don't want to slow them
[43:02] Speaker 3: down for fear that you'll make them upset or mad
[43:04] Speaker 3: at you. No, that's not the relationship. Get out of
[43:07] Speaker 3: what you need in your health care practitioner, or leave
[43:11] Speaker 3: that health care practitioner. That's my advice.
[43:15] Speaker 2: Thank you, doctor Bob. And these listener questions on the surface,
[43:19] Speaker 2: they seem so different. You were talking kidneys and tremors
[43:22] Speaker 2: and knees, but they all come back to that same
[43:26] Speaker 2: poor idea. You listen to your body early, ask the
[43:30] Speaker 2: uncomfortable questions before there's a crisis. It. Don't assume that
[43:34] Speaker 2: your only options are the first ones that have been
[43:37] Speaker 2: handed to you. And folks, so thank you so much
