[0:45] Speaker 2: question or to make a health related comment is eight
[0:48] Speaker 2: hundred six oh six eighty eight twenty two. Eight hundred
[0:51] Speaker 2: six oh six eighty eight twenty two. That's eight hundred
[0:55] Speaker 2: six zero six eighty eight twenty two. It's the Doctor
[0:59] Speaker 2: Bob Martin and Show.
[1:01] Speaker 3: Welcome to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman,
[1:05] Speaker 3: and sitting across from me today is the legend himself,
[1:08] Speaker 3: the man who has spent decades peeling back the curtain
[1:11] Speaker 3: on what health is. And that's doctor Bob Martin. How
[1:14] Speaker 3: are your day, Doctor Bob.
[1:16] Speaker 4: I'm doing fantastic, Doctor Brockman, hope you are as well
[1:19] Speaker 4: as our listeners.
[1:21] Speaker 3: All right, let's get a good show going today, one
[1:24] Speaker 3: that is going to answer lots of listener questions. So, folks,
[1:29] Speaker 3: I want to be real for a second, though, we're
[1:31] Speaker 3: living with this information overload. We spend five minutes scrolling
[1:36] Speaker 3: through our phones and you'll get ten different so called
[1:40] Speaker 3: experts telling you ten different ways to eat and breathe
[1:44] Speaker 3: and move, and it's enough to make your head spind
[1:47] Speaker 3: But that's why doctor Bob and I are here, and
[1:50] Speaker 3: our mission on the show isn't just to add more noise.
[1:54] Speaker 3: It's to be that signal soday we're going to help
[1:59] Speaker 3: try to provide some truth in health and and the
[2:02] Speaker 3: partnership between doctor Bob and myself it's it's built on
[2:06] Speaker 3: a simple, yet a very radical philosophy, and that's that's
[2:10] Speaker 3: your body has an incredible innate ability to heal itself
[2:14] Speaker 3: if you just stop getting in the way. And we're
[2:16] Speaker 3: not interested in that that band aid approach. While we
[2:19] Speaker 3: have a lot of the healthcare system that's busy just
[2:23] Speaker 3: managing symptoms, which is really it's it's just a polite
[2:27] Speaker 3: way of saying that you're you're you're watching yourself get
[2:31] Speaker 3: get get worse slowly. And that's why, that's why doctor
[2:35] Speaker 3: Bob and I were interested in in vitality and longevity
[2:38] Speaker 3: and finding that root cause because I want I want
[2:42] Speaker 3: you to know that nearly eighty six percent of all
[2:45] Speaker 3: healthcare spinning in this country is tied to chronic conditions
[2:48] Speaker 3: that are are largely they're they're preventable through lifestyle and nutrition.
[2:53] Speaker 3: And that eighty six percent, that's a huge number. It's
[2:56] Speaker 3: it's telling us that the system is broken. It's and
[3:00] Speaker 3: we need to basically get back to what our bodies
[3:04] Speaker 3: were designed to do. And we we want to help
[3:08] Speaker 3: you escape that assembly line of what healthcare is today.
[3:12] Speaker 3: And so with the questions today, we're going to dive
[3:15] Speaker 3: into into those real world health hurdles that you're facing
[3:19] Speaker 3: right now. So we want to take off those those
[3:22] Speaker 3: blinders and we want to arm yourself with health facts.
[3:26] Speaker 3: So with that, doctor Bob, I want to get into
[3:28] Speaker 3: the email mail bag if callers, if they have questions,
[3:32] Speaker 3: and it's easier for them to submit through our website,
[3:35] Speaker 3: which is really simple. All they got to do is
[3:37] Speaker 3: hit a hit our form at doctor bob dot com again,
[3:40] Speaker 3: that's doctor Bob dot com. Spell out the word doctor
[3:42] Speaker 3: d O C T O R Bob dot com. It's
[3:45] Speaker 3: a real simple way to get your question in front
[3:48] Speaker 3: of us. And uh and as of right now, we're
[3:50] Speaker 3: getting we're getting so many of those. I want to
[3:52] Speaker 3: start with an email question and start with one from
[3:56] Speaker 3: Don in Phoenix, and she asked, Doctor Adam and doctor Bob,
[4:02] Speaker 3: I'm fifty four and my knees feel like they're filled
[4:06] Speaker 3: with broken glass every morning and my doctor just says
[4:09] Speaker 3: it's war and tear and told me to take ibuprofen
[4:13] Speaker 3: every day? Is this just what my life is now?
[4:17] Speaker 3: And Doctor Bob, do you want to start with that?
[4:19] Speaker 4: One? Would love to. First of all, ibuprofen is a
[4:26] Speaker 4: powerful and said drug. It's just like I look at
[4:29] Speaker 4: it like just a bigger asprint, if you will. And
[4:33] Speaker 4: inasmuch as it can block certain pain pathways, there's no
[4:37] Speaker 4: question about it. Some people get pretty good results with
[4:40] Speaker 4: it in terms of blocking pain. But there's a downside,
[4:44] Speaker 4: a very dark side to ibuprofen. I mean, we could
[4:47] Speaker 4: sit here and talk about the potential side effects for
[4:50] Speaker 4: a long time, including leading in the gas room, intestino track,
[4:54] Speaker 4: increasing your risk of heart attack, and the list goes
[4:56] Speaker 4: on and on. But let's talk about the real problem
[5:01] Speaker 4: that's never discussed about ibuprofen or taking other drugs like it.
[5:05] Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if it's ibuprofen or a leave nap person, motrin, aspirin.
[5:12] Speaker 4: It doesn't matter what happens when you take these drugs
[5:16] Speaker 4: to relieve pain, and human beings will relieve pain in
[5:19] Speaker 4: any manner they can. I don't have a problem with
[5:22] Speaker 4: that until you can find out what's causing the pain.
[5:26] Speaker 4: These drugs, as you know, doctor Brockman, and are hopefully
[5:29] Speaker 4: our audience has heard, they should never be taken on
[5:32] Speaker 4: a long term basis. What is long term more than
[5:35] Speaker 4: three to five days. I have people that I know
[5:38] Speaker 4: that have landed in my office, and I'm sure yours,
[5:41] Speaker 4: Doctor brockn that have been taking ibuprofen, motrin, leave a naperson, aspirin,
[5:50] Speaker 4: you name it, for months and sometimes years. Well, we
[5:56] Speaker 4: do when we find somebody with that, and it could
[5:59] Speaker 4: be that they have back pain, or neck pain, or
[6:01] Speaker 4: knee pain, or shoulder pain, some joint disturbance that their
[6:05] Speaker 4: doctors said well, just keep going. I mean, if you're
[6:08] Speaker 4: getting relief with these drugs, that's all there is, and
[6:11] Speaker 4: that is all there is in conventional medicine. But it's
[6:15] Speaker 4: not all there is in the healthcare arena which we
[6:18] Speaker 4: serve people in because we know as physicians that if
[6:22] Speaker 4: you take these drugs long enough and that's more than
[6:26] Speaker 4: three to five days, they start breaking down the body's
[6:29] Speaker 4: ability to make new cartilage. What does that mean, Well,
[6:34] Speaker 4: it means that if you do have arthritis in a
[6:37] Speaker 4: joint or some inflammatory process in the joint, taking the
[6:41] Speaker 4: drug is going to make the problem worse over time
[6:46] Speaker 4: because it interferes with your bodies healing process that is
[6:50] Speaker 4: struggling to help. So taking the drug more than three
[6:54] Speaker 4: to five days for joint pain, any joint pain, is
[6:57] Speaker 4: going to increase the pain because you're actually destroying the
[7:02] Speaker 4: body's ability to lay down new cartilage. It actually is counterproductive.
[7:06] Speaker 4: That's why these drugs are only designed to be taken
[7:09] Speaker 4: for three to five days until you can get to
[7:11] Speaker 4: a physician or a doctor like doctor Brockman and others
[7:15] Speaker 4: that can actually get to the reason why you're having
[7:17] Speaker 4: the pain and then actually give a solution for it.
[7:21] Speaker 4: The good news is you can change your diet, you
[7:25] Speaker 4: can change your lifestyle, you can change your ergonomics, your
[7:28] Speaker 4: position that you're in, and nature provides for us things
[7:33] Speaker 4: that can actually help the inflammation be quelled, and you
[7:38] Speaker 4: can take supplementation help these joint problems. We've talked about
[7:42] Speaker 4: it Omega three fatty acids antioxidants one of the latest
[7:47] Speaker 4: breakthroughs on this, doctor Brockman, and I think you've been
[7:50] Speaker 4: talking about it as well. And doctor Earl Mindel, who
[7:55] Speaker 4: is the author of the Vitamin Bible. He's a pharmacist PhD.
[8:00] Speaker 4: He's been in the nutritional industry for years and years.
[8:04] Speaker 4: He's now recommending, as are we, a formula called APEX minerals.
[8:10] Speaker 4: These minerals are some people are calling them magical. They
[8:14] Speaker 4: are hydro thermal minerals. They're very different in their structure
[8:19] Speaker 4: and formulation than minerals you can find and let's say,
[8:22] Speaker 4: on the health food store shelf or somewhere else. They
[8:25] Speaker 4: are a specific area of the country where they found
[8:29] Speaker 4: this layer of minerals and they were able to figure
[8:33] Speaker 4: out it has special qualities that when swallowed by human
[8:37] Speaker 4: beings within a short period of time, sometimes two weeks,
[8:41] Speaker 4: even four weeks, the joint inflammation, the joint pain goes
[8:46] Speaker 4: away and they get better. And if you combine that
[8:48] Speaker 4: with exercise, lifestyle and other nutrients that support joint health,
[8:53] Speaker 4: you're going to get a better result. Doctor Brock, could
[8:55] Speaker 4: you please pull the phone number where people can find
[8:59] Speaker 4: a Pecks Joint Minerals so they can get started if
[9:03] Speaker 4: they have anchy brakes the joints, or some type of
[9:06] Speaker 4: joint problem it's not getting well, or they want to
[9:08] Speaker 4: get off of their risky drugs. Their take.
[9:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that phone number for for Apex Joint Minerals
[9:15] Speaker 3: is it's eight four four nine four three one one
[9:20] Speaker 3: four four. Again, if you're listening, I want to write
[9:23] Speaker 3: this down. It's eight four four nine four three one
[9:27] Speaker 3: one four four. In their website, it's it's really easy.
[9:31] Speaker 3: It's Jointminerals dot Com. Again, that's Jointminerals dot com. And
[9:37] Speaker 3: uh and and yeah, doctor Bob, that was a great information, uh,
[9:42] Speaker 3: for for anybody that's having any type of joint pain
[9:45] Speaker 3: and using ibuprofen. Uh, you know, long term and and
[9:50] Speaker 3: I think also, you know, we want to start with
[9:52] Speaker 3: that foundation and that's reduced the inflammation. But ibuprofen only
[9:55] Speaker 3: quiets that pain signal. It doesn't fix that fire. So
[9:58] Speaker 3: just like you said chronic and said use from like ibuprofen,
[10:03] Speaker 3: it can harm the gut lining, it elevates blood pressure,
[10:06] Speaker 3: and it slows that cartilage repair. One final final thought,
[10:11] Speaker 3: and that's on the regendaive options like PRP and prolo therapy,
[10:16] Speaker 3: you know, peptides and stem cells. And we recently just
[10:19] Speaker 3: mentioned a great clinic that performs that, and that's Holistic
[10:22] Speaker 3: Care Clinic. And again, this website for this is Holisticcare
[10:26] Speaker 3: dot com. And folks, if you have questions for us

[13:01] Speaker 3: six or O six eight eight two to two. Okay,
[13:04] Speaker 3: doctor Bob, let's get back into some caller questions. This
[13:08] Speaker 3: is going to be a call from Angela in Boise, Idaho.
[13:20] Speaker 5: Angela and Boys, Idaho. I I would like to know
[13:28] Speaker 5: what the doctor recommends for neurotsy. Thank you very much.
[13:38] Speaker 3: Okay, doctor Bob, you want to start this one.
[13:42] Speaker 4: Happy to Angela. Thank you very much for your call
[13:46] Speaker 4: from Idaho. This is a problem, Dr Brockman, that a
[13:49] Speaker 4: lot of people go crazy over. And the reason they
[13:53] Speaker 4: go crazy over is they can't get results. They search
[13:56] Speaker 4: out doctors, they go to their general doctor. The general
[14:00] Speaker 4: doctor sends them Eventually after maybe trying drugs and recommendations
[14:06] Speaker 4: over to the neurologists. The neurologists gives them just another recommendation,
[14:11] Speaker 4: maybe stronger drugs, and it doesn't work, and the drugs
[14:15] Speaker 4: are often worse than the very condition that they're being
[14:18] Speaker 4: treated for. The neuropathy. Neuropathy is kind of a complicated condition.
[14:23] Speaker 4: It just means that something is going wrong with the nerves.
[14:27] Speaker 4: Usually it's peripheral neuropathy, meaning at the extremities, and usually
[14:33] Speaker 4: it starts in the feet. That's where people begin to
[14:36] Speaker 4: notice pins and needles and numbness and they can't feel
[14:40] Speaker 4: their feet and they don't know what to do about it,
[14:45] Speaker 4: and they you know, this is a condition that usually
[14:48] Speaker 4: has an onset that's slow and insidious, and then it
[14:52] Speaker 4: just continues to get worse. And there's a combination of
[14:56] Speaker 4: reasons for it. But let me cut to some of
[14:59] Speaker 4: the more important things to consider. Since I wrote a
[15:01] Speaker 4: book about this years ago called Secret Nerve Cures, it
[15:05] Speaker 4: might be out there, it might be available somewhere. I'm
[15:08] Speaker 4: not sure it's out of print now, but I know
[15:11] Speaker 4: there's people that have it and sell it, probably after
[15:14] Speaker 4: market stuff. But when I did the research on this book.
[15:17] Speaker 4: It was coupled with the decades that I spent treating
[15:22] Speaker 4: peripheral neuropathy patients who had usually been to their doctors,
[15:28] Speaker 4: many doctors, and they finally ended up in my office
[15:31] Speaker 4: some way, somehow, and we were able to turn their
[15:35] Speaker 4: condition around most of the time.
[15:38] Speaker 6: And some of these conditions that are neuropathies are very chronic,
[15:44] Speaker 6: they are recalcitrant. You've tried to help them and they're
[15:48] Speaker 6: so far gone. With the chronicity of the conditions, very difficult,
[15:53] Speaker 6: but we always try, and especially with natural forms of care,
[15:57] Speaker 6: they don't get worse as it relates to their condition
[16:01] Speaker 6: or their general health, Whereas in a medical setting, when
[16:04] Speaker 6: they start giving them drugs that are earmarked for epilepsy,
[16:09] Speaker 6: which is usually the case with drugs that are given
[16:13] Speaker 6: for people who have neuropathy, they're taking drugs that originally
[16:16] Speaker 6: started for epilepsy, neuronton and various other drugs. They just
[16:23] Speaker 6: don't work, and if you look up the side effects
[16:25] Speaker 6: of these drugs, it's worse than the neuropathy itself. So
[16:27] Speaker 6: now they have neuropathy on top of a whole long
[16:30] Speaker 6: list of side effects, lyrica, you name it. They just
[16:35] Speaker 6: don't work because they don't address the underlying problem. The
[16:37] Speaker 6: underlying problem many in many cases is blood sugar. You
[16:42] Speaker 6: get that under control, get their lifestyle neurologic, which means
[16:46] Speaker 6: there's a spinal problem. They haven't had their monthly chiropractic checkups,
[16:51] Speaker 6: and they should and if they do, they're going to
[16:54] Speaker 6: get response most of the time better, especially if they
[16:58] Speaker 6: couple that with a dietary approach, which a lifestyle approach
[17:01] Speaker 6: and taking specific supplements that cause nerve regeneration nerve growth
[17:09] Speaker 6: factor specifically, meaning when you take certain nutrients that are
[17:14] Speaker 6: lacking in your diet, such as alphalipoic acid, methyl cobolemin,
[17:20] Speaker 6: which is a form of vitamin B twelve. It's a
[17:23] Speaker 6: specific neuroactive form of B twelve called methyl cobolomin lions maine,
[17:28] Speaker 6: which is an herb that works very well on neuropathy,
[17:32] Speaker 6: and vitamin B one in the form of a fat
[17:36] Speaker 6: soluble vitamin B one alei diamon or.
[17:40] Speaker 4: Or something similar to that. The combination of that along
[17:43] Speaker 4: with vitamin D hits the mark and then you monitor
[17:48] Speaker 4: that patient over sometimes months, because nerve tissue is slow
[17:53] Speaker 4: healing and it takes time. You got to be patient,
[17:57] Speaker 4: So you clear the spine with the chiropractic care, I
[18:01] Speaker 4: would consider acupuncture. I would consider, uh, you know, anything
[18:05] Speaker 4: to bolster the body's stability to turn it around.
[18:08] Speaker 7: Do it.
[18:09] Speaker 4: And the drugs, the drugs, doctor Brockman, as you probably
[18:13] Speaker 4: well know, are a dead end street when it comes
[18:15] Speaker 4: to neuropathy. They don't work. Not only do they not work,
[18:19] Speaker 4: they make other conditions come up on the radar screen,
[18:23] Speaker 4: and now they have not only neuropathy, but something else.
[18:25] Speaker 4: So combination of those things that I mentioned. And I
[18:28] Speaker 4: want you to add into the conversation here, doctor Brockwen,
[18:31] Speaker 4: what you've had results with with neuropity patients.
[18:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was great, uh, you know, great results
[18:38] Speaker 3: out of everything that you mentioned there, doctor Bob. And
[18:41] Speaker 3: I just want to start with neuropathy. It's it's not
[18:45] Speaker 3: a disease, it's it's more of a consequence. So if
[18:48] Speaker 3: your nerves they're they're they're crying out maybe from damaged
[18:52] Speaker 3: circulation or or nutrient starvation, inflammation, or sometimes a toxin overload.
[18:59] Speaker 3: So so that approach, it must go beyond that suppressing
[19:03] Speaker 3: pain in starting to nurture that repair, which again, as
[19:06] Speaker 3: doctor Bob said, is very slow, so you got to
[19:09] Speaker 3: fuel those nerves back to life. And with doctor Bob saying,
[19:14] Speaker 3: you mentioned the B vitamins, those are those building blocks
[19:17] Speaker 3: for that nerve regeneration, the B one, the B B twelve,
[19:23] Speaker 3: those are definitely key in this component. But the deficiency
[19:28] Speaker 3: a lot of times is that is that root cause
[19:30] Speaker 3: of neuropathy. And you're talking about especially in diabetics or
[19:33] Speaker 3: those that are using metformin or protein pump inhibitors or
[19:38] Speaker 3: even statins. So these are our key to get back
[19:43] Speaker 3: into into the system. If you're one that's some of
[19:45] Speaker 3: that regeneration, and you've got to restore that microcirculation. So
[19:51] Speaker 3: every nerve and needs oxygen, it needs nutrients, so so
[19:55] Speaker 3: get out and get moving and that will help to
[19:58] Speaker 3: also calm that inflammation. Uh, that the fire that is
[20:02] Speaker 3: causing some of that as well, because those those hyper
[20:05] Speaker 3: excitable nerves, they're they're blasting these false pain signals. So
[20:10] Speaker 3: again we look at things like turmeric, uh, magnesium glycinate
[20:15] Speaker 3: that can help to reduce that that over firing and
[20:18] Speaker 3: uh you know, and again detox that that burden that
[20:21] Speaker 3: is is sometimes causing that neuropathy. That's that's from the
[20:25] Speaker 3: the toxins, the heavy metals.
[20:27] Speaker 4: Uh.
[20:27] Speaker 3: You know, it can be mold medications. You know, list
[20:29] Speaker 3: goes on and on. Uh, So figure out ways of
[20:32] Speaker 3: detox and UH. In building on what doctor Bob said
[20:36] Speaker 3: with with treating the body through through adjustments or movement,
[20:41] Speaker 3: you can also treat the nerves with with light and
[20:44] Speaker 3: that's literally you're talking. We're talking about low level laser
[20:47] Speaker 3: light therapy or infrared light therapy. It can help to
[20:51] Speaker 3: change that. It increases uh atp uh production, which is
[20:56] Speaker 3: your cell's energy currency, and it helps from promote new
[21:01] Speaker 3: vessel growth. So those are great options and UH and
[21:05] Speaker 3: and finally, you know, as doctor Bob mentioned, the nerves
[21:08] Speaker 3: they heal slowly, but they do heal when that environment changes.
[21:13] Speaker 3: So so focus on the progress. You know, measure improvements monthly,
[21:20] Speaker 3: not daily. And that numbness, it may start to fade
[21:23] Speaker 3: to tingling and then then maybe a warm and then
[21:26] Speaker 3: maybe that normal sensation. So that's what we're we're looking
[21:29] Speaker 3: at looking at that's that's regeneration in in real time.
[21:33] Speaker 3: So again, doctor Bob, great suggestions on neuropathy. We hope
[21:36] Speaker 3: this gives you some insight, Angela and UH and folks,
[21:40] Speaker 3: it's time for a quick break again. But when we
[21:43] Speaker 3: come back, we'll get more to your questions. You're listening
[21:45] Speaker 3: to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Are you waiting on

[22:11] Speaker 5: Way?
[22:14] Speaker 4: Don't you want to learn to deal it?
[22:17] Speaker 3: Don't you want to take the wheel stamp?
[22:20] Speaker 6: Don't you another man?
[22:24] Speaker 7: Why wait?
[22:26] Speaker 3: Welcome back Doctor Adam Brockman here, and you're tuned into

[22:57] Speaker 3: to your health concerns. Again, you can call us eight
[23:00] Speaker 3: hundred and six or O six eight eighty two to two,
[23:02] Speaker 3: or reach us at our website which is doctor Bob
[23:05] Speaker 3: dot com. Okay, let's get onto another email question from
[23:09] Speaker 3: doctor Bob dot com, and that is from Jorge in Miami.
[23:13] Speaker 3: And he asked, my cholesterol hit two thirty and my
[23:18] Speaker 3: doctor wants me on a statin immediately. I've heard horror
[23:22] Speaker 3: stories about muscle pain and memory loss. Are there real
[23:25] Speaker 3: alternatives that actually work for heart health? All right, doctor Bob,
[23:30] Speaker 3: and you want to take a Jorges question first?
[23:33] Speaker 5: Yes, I do.
[23:34] Speaker 4: Or Hey, thank you for your phone call from Miami,
[23:36] Speaker 4: Florida today. It's a very common question.
[23:39] Speaker 6: I'm glad he called because in answering his question, As
[23:42] Speaker 6: you know, Doctor Bob.
[23:43] Speaker 4: There are a lot of people listening right now who
[23:45] Speaker 4: either have.
[23:46] Speaker 6: Cholesterol challenges themselves or they know somebody.
[23:49] Speaker 4: It's huge. So this is an important question that we
[23:52] Speaker 4: need to delve into because so many people are confused.
[23:57] Speaker 4: We're starting with the number that he provided, two thirty cholesterol,
[24:02] Speaker 4: and I assume this means his total cholesterol number gives
[24:07] Speaker 4: us absolutely no information. Is it is useless to have
[24:14] Speaker 4: just that number? But we can surmise, just by his
[24:18] Speaker 4: concern and his doctor's desire to put him on statin
[24:21] Speaker 4: for life, that it is something that we need to address,
[24:25] Speaker 4: and I think it needs to be addressed because some
[24:28] Speaker 4: other people may be in the same predicament. Number one,
[24:33] Speaker 4: we need to look at the whole profile. We need
[24:35] Speaker 4: to look at his LDL, his low density lipe of
[24:39] Speaker 4: protein also known as the lousy type or the HDL,
[24:44] Speaker 4: the high density lipe of protein, which is more of
[24:47] Speaker 4: the good guys. We need to look at, you know,
[24:51] Speaker 4: the particle size of his cholesterol. We need to know
[24:55] Speaker 4: if any of the cholesterol that he's making is oxidized.
[24:59] Speaker 4: These are tests, These are blood tests that his doctor
[25:03] Speaker 4: should have and could have performed and hope hopefully they did.
[25:07] Speaker 4: And poor Hey can provide us additional information and then
[25:10] Speaker 4: we can wax eloquent on more information at a later date. Meanwhile,
[25:15] Speaker 4: we'll take it from here. The other part of the
[25:18] Speaker 4: cholesterol situation is knowing that the body produces cholesterol for
[25:25] Speaker 4: a reason. It is human beings couldn't live. We would
[25:28] Speaker 4: die without cholesterol.
[25:30] Speaker 6: Cholesterol is essential to us as oxygen and water. We
[25:34] Speaker 6: have to have it and we wouldn't exist. So we
[25:37] Speaker 6: need to understand it's not an evil that you destroy.
[25:41] Speaker 6: The body makes excessive cholesterol. In response to here it
[25:46] Speaker 6: comes here's the payoff. Write this down inflammation, its inflammation
[25:52] Speaker 6: as the smoking gun of high cholesterol, not cholesterol itself.
[25:56] Speaker 6: Cholesterol is an after product and after mark product, if
[26:00] Speaker 6: you will. The body is simply making a fat slick
[26:05] Speaker 6: to put into the bloodstream, to carry it to an
[26:08] Speaker 6: area where there's wounding going on or high inflammation, or fire,
[26:13] Speaker 6: to put a fat slick over the fire, to try
[26:16] Speaker 6: to extinguish it, to try to put it out. So
[26:18] Speaker 6: the body just keeps cranking it out, making making making
[26:21] Speaker 6: more of it. Because the problem, the reason for the
[26:25] Speaker 6: cholesterol being going up, that means inflammation or high inflammation,
[26:31] Speaker 6: high sea reactive protein, high homocysteine, or some other inflammatory
[26:35] Speaker 6: markers not being addressed.
[26:36] Speaker 4: That's what needs to be addressed. I would ask Orges doctor,
[26:40] Speaker 4: did he run a cardiosensitive sea reactive protein The answer.
[26:45] Speaker 6: Is probably no. Did he run a homo cysteine blood test?
[26:50] Speaker 6: The answer is probably know because those two blood factors
[26:52] Speaker 6: are more important than just cholesterol, especially just total cholesterol.
[26:56] Speaker 6: So we have no real findings here.
[27:00] Speaker 4: Like to know his trich lysterra i'd count, I want
[27:02] Speaker 4: to know if he was fasting during the blood etc.
[27:05] Speaker 4: So we start with this on a person with high,
[27:09] Speaker 4: you know, just to two thirty cholesterol. I would say
[27:12] Speaker 4: if it were my patient, I wouldn't put him on statins,
[27:15] Speaker 4: that's for sure, because the statins will do more damage
[27:17] Speaker 4: than good. They may lower the total cholesterol a little bit.
[27:21] Speaker 4: In the meantime, though, they they're going to damage his
[27:24] Speaker 4: brain by damaging his microgilia and his brain so memory
[27:28] Speaker 4: loss Alzheimer's. It's going to send him on a pathway
[27:32] Speaker 4: to an increased risk of diabetes. It's going to cause
[27:35] Speaker 4: nerve damage, He'll have neuropathy. It's going to cause liver toxicity.
[27:41] Speaker 4: He'll have liver cells that are dying like mad and
[27:44] Speaker 4: the list goes on and on. You look at the
[27:45] Speaker 4: side effects of these statin drugs, it's horrible. If they
[27:50] Speaker 4: worked and got to the cause, I wouldn't have a
[27:52] Speaker 4: problem with it. The reality is is that about fifty
[27:55] Speaker 4: percent of people who have heart attacks have perfect cholesterol
[28:00] Speaker 4: at about one hundred and fifty milligrams per deslol leader. Therefore,
[28:03] Speaker 4: people with higher cholesterols actually live longer than those with
[28:09] Speaker 4: normal cholesterols and sometimes lower cholesterols depending on what kind
[28:13] Speaker 4: of cholesterol it is. And that's what we need to
[28:14] Speaker 4: sift through and tease away.
[28:17] Speaker 6: We don't have that information right now, so I am
[28:20] Speaker 6: inclined to say, let's attack the inflammatory process first, not
[28:25] Speaker 6: even knowing what's going on underneath this, and leave the
[28:28] Speaker 6: cholesterol alone.
[28:29] Speaker 4: It's a protective factor. It's just the big myth in medicine,
[28:34] Speaker 4: the big fraud in medicine. The drug companies love it
[28:37] Speaker 4: because they can just continue to sell these statin drugs
[28:40] Speaker 4: based on this fraudulent information that came about by this
[28:44] Speaker 4: doctor years and years ago. And that problem still exists today, unfortunately.
[28:49] Speaker 4: Doctor Brockman.
[28:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know we're talking about you know, Jorge,
[28:55] Speaker 3: you hit on something that millions of Americans are feeling,
[28:58] Speaker 3: and that's that statin forever one mentality, and it's it's
[29:02] Speaker 3: one of the biggest debates in modern medicine. We see
[29:05] Speaker 3: we see patients all the time who start a statin
[29:08] Speaker 3: and then suddenly their gym performance tanks because their muscles
[29:11] Speaker 3: are screaming or their joints are screaming. And that that's
[29:14] Speaker 3: because statins they deplete co enzyme Q ten and that
[29:19] Speaker 3: is a spark plug for yourself. So that is one
[29:21] Speaker 3: thing that you need to to uh to probably look
[29:24] Speaker 3: at and replace one if you're on a statin or
[29:27] Speaker 3: two just for heart health in general, and in these
[29:30] Speaker 3: you know what doctor Bob said, cholesterol isn't some boogeyman.
[29:35] Speaker 3: It's it's actually a vital building block for your hormones
[29:38] Speaker 3: in your brain. So the real danger is oxidize L
[29:42] Speaker 3: d L in that systemic inflammation. So for for heart
[29:45] Speaker 3: health again, coenzyme Q ten. We also look at things
[29:49] Speaker 3: like Coyolic age garlic extract. They have they have several
[29:53] Speaker 3: different cardiovascular formulas. You can find one that fits fits
[29:57] Speaker 3: you at coyolic dot com. Great great products again, kyolic
[30:02] Speaker 3: age garlic extract, Coenzyme Q ten, red yeast rice. These
[30:06] Speaker 3: are all answers to that lipid management, nature's answers if
[30:11] Speaker 3: you will. But again we also have to look at
[30:14] Speaker 3: vitamin K two to make sure calcium goes into your
[30:18] Speaker 3: bones and not your arteries, just flowing around your arteries
[30:22] Speaker 3: and so so, Jorge again, before you jump on a
[30:26] Speaker 3: lifetime prescription, look at these these markers. Like doctor Bob
[30:30] Speaker 3: mentioned the CRP in the home assisting, So again, Hora,
[30:36] Speaker 3: if you've got questions or you want to go into
[30:38] Speaker 3: further detail on that I encourage you to reach back
[30:41] Speaker 3: out through doctor Bob dot com. You can call us
[30:44] Speaker 3: eight hundred and six or oh six eight A two

[33:55] Speaker 3: Doctor Bob, let's get into into more more questions and comments.
[33:59] Speaker 3: Next up, you mentioned in the first segment about secret
[34:03] Speaker 3: nerve cures. Linda in Utah wants to make a comment
[34:06] Speaker 3: on that.
[34:07] Speaker 9: Hello, my name is Linda. I'm from the state of Utah.
[34:13] Speaker 9: The reason I'm calling is how do I go about
[34:17] Speaker 9: ordering a book? And I think you have a sequel
[34:20] Speaker 9: to it too, Secret Nerve Cures. At one time I
[34:26] Speaker 9: called in and doctor Bob Martin sent me that book
[34:31] Speaker 9: and it has absolutely changed my life. It's helped me
[34:36] Speaker 9: so much. Well, my doctor, who is also a nature path,
[34:43] Speaker 9: would love to get a copy of this book, and
[34:45] Speaker 9: I can't seem to find I don't want to go
[34:48] Speaker 9: on Amazon. But how would I go about get seeing
[34:54] Speaker 9: my doctor a copy of this book. I guess you'd
[34:56] Speaker 9: have to send it to me here in Utah. I
[35:00] Speaker 9: appreciate it. I listened to doctor Bob every Sunday, but
[35:05] Speaker 9: that was a book that Secret Nerve Tures has changed
[35:10] Speaker 9: my life.
[35:12] Speaker 3: All right, Doctor Bob, do you want to go ahead
[35:14] Speaker 3: and comment on from Linda in Utah?
[35:18] Speaker 4: I do, Linda, thank you for your call and appreciate
[35:22] Speaker 4: your kind words. So happy to hear that you responded
[35:25] Speaker 4: well to the information provided in the book. Unfortunately, because
[35:31] Speaker 4: this book was written quite a few years ago, you
[35:33] Speaker 4: may have to go to Amazon to find it.
[35:37] Speaker 6: And if you can't navigate that, maybe you can have
[35:39] Speaker 6: somebody in your family or a friend do it for
[35:43] Speaker 6: you find the book. I'm sure there's a copy out
[35:46] Speaker 6: there somewhere that you can purchase and provide to your
[35:49] Speaker 6: nature pathic doctor so that he has that information that
[35:53] Speaker 6: you have and that would be great because he can
[35:56] Speaker 6: use that for his patients as well.
[35:58] Speaker 4: And that's how we get the word out. That's we
[36:00] Speaker 4: get the process moving to help others in this regard. Again,
[36:05] Speaker 4: thanks again for your call, Lind.
[36:09] Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you very much for your call in comment, Linda.
[36:12] Speaker 3: We appreciate that. Well, Doctor Bob, we got a just
[36:16] Speaker 3: a couple of minutes left. And this is a common
[36:17] Speaker 3: question that we get on the show, and that's this
[36:20] Speaker 3: one comes from David in Austin, Texas, and he says,
[36:24] Speaker 3: I've been on a PPI A, which is a protein
[36:27] Speaker 3: pump inhibitor for acid reflux, for five years now. I'm
[36:31] Speaker 3: reading that they can cause bone loss in B twelve deficiency.
[36:35] Speaker 3: How do I get off this stuff without my chest
[36:38] Speaker 3: feeling like it's on fire? And Doctor Bob, you want
[36:40] Speaker 3: to start this one too.
[36:42] Speaker 4: Yes, this is common. I mean, you know, like seventy
[36:45] Speaker 4: eight thousand people on a daily basis in the United
[36:48] Speaker 4: States have problems like this. Acid a digestion, heartburn, gastrosopoagny
[36:55] Speaker 4: reflux otherwise known as GERD. They start with the mild stuff,
[36:59] Speaker 4: maybe hums or rolaids, and then you move on to
[37:02] Speaker 4: things that are much more potent. They go to their
[37:05] Speaker 4: doctor's office and they get prescription drugs like PPIs, the
[37:09] Speaker 4: pro tumbuminator drugs, or H two blocker drugs. Not good.
[37:13] Speaker 6: These drugs do not address the underlying reason why they're
[37:17] Speaker 6: having acid. We need stomach acid. Stomach acid is your
[37:20] Speaker 6: best friend. It is a way to deodorize and get
[37:26] Speaker 6: rid of toxins and poisons that you come in contact with.
[37:30] Speaker 6: And it also of course turns that steak or that
[37:33] Speaker 6: piece of salmon you're going to eat into liquid so
[37:37] Speaker 6: that you can digest in and absorb the nutrients. If
[37:39] Speaker 6: you stop the body making acid, which is critical, viruses
[37:44] Speaker 6: and bacteria and parasites and everything else are going to
[37:47] Speaker 6: have free rein over your body coming in through your
[37:50] Speaker 6: food and water. So it's not a good idea. These
[37:52] Speaker 6: drugs are only supposed to be taken on a temporary basis.
[37:56] Speaker 6: What is that three to five days at the most
[37:59] Speaker 6: until you can get to an integratively trained doctor like
[38:02] Speaker 6: doctor Brockman and I and other doctors nature pathic physicians,
[38:06] Speaker 6: chiropractic physicians, homeopathic physicians, or mds Ordos who are trained
[38:10] Speaker 6: in functional medicine. If you can find that kind of
[38:13] Speaker 6: a doctor, they can actually search out for you on
[38:16] Speaker 6: your behalf. The cause of the problem, and usually the
[38:19] Speaker 6: cause of the problem is either a heidel hernia, which
[38:21] Speaker 6: is where your stomach has protruded up into your lower
[38:25] Speaker 6: esophageal sphincter and is spilling acid up into your esophagus
[38:28] Speaker 6: giving you heartburn caused.
[38:30] Speaker 4: By eating late at night and laying down on a
[38:32] Speaker 4: full stomach, or that is caused by H. Pylori. You
[38:37] Speaker 4: may have an H. Pylori infection. According to the World
[38:39] Speaker 4: Health Organization, about sixty to seventy people have this infection
[38:43] Speaker 4: in your body attempts to burn it out by making
[38:45] Speaker 4: more acid. But if you get rid of the H.
[38:47] Speaker 4: Pylori infection in your stomach by using a combination of
[38:51] Speaker 4: nutrients in Doctor Brockman, you've talked about this on the
[38:54] Speaker 4: show before, gum mastic and Kyle La garlic and doctor Ohis,
[38:59] Speaker 4: pro biotics and zinc carnosine. These are things that get
[39:04] Speaker 4: rid of this infection and suddenly your stomach doesn't make
[39:06] Speaker 4: all this acid that is trying to burn out this infection.
[39:09] Speaker 4: Is bug. So, yeah, there's a lot of ways to
[39:12] Speaker 4: treat this, but it's not through drugs.
[39:16] Speaker 3: Yeah, and David, this is a shocking reality for millions
[39:19] Speaker 3: of people. These these PPIs, these protein pump inhibitors. They were,
[39:23] Speaker 3: like doctor Bob said, originally intended for short term use.
[39:26] Speaker 3: Now people are on them for decades. And so the
[39:29] Speaker 3: irony is most of this reflux isn't caused by too
[39:32] Speaker 3: much acid. It's caused by too little. So if you
[39:35] Speaker 3: don't have enough acid to break down food, the food
[39:38] Speaker 3: sits there, it ferments and creates that gas that pushes
[39:42] Speaker 3: the remaining acid up into the esophagus. And so again
[39:45] Speaker 3: what doctor Bob said, the great recommendations there, but this
[39:50] Speaker 3: is a is a conversation that we probably need to
[39:52] Speaker 3: go in further detail, Doctor Bob. It's a common one
[39:55] Speaker 3: that we get on the show, and folks, well, we
[39:58] Speaker 3: do have to take a quick break, but when we
[39:59] Speaker 3: come back, we'll hit our final stretch for this hour.
[40:02] Speaker 3: You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Hi, it's
[40:05] Speaker 3: doctor Adam Brockman. We talk about health every week. When
[40:09] Speaker 3: your joints hurt, everything hurts, you lose that freedom to
[40:12] Speaker 3: move and bend and stretch and do the things you love.
[40:16] Speaker 3: And that's why I want to tell you about something
[40:18] Speaker 3: truly special, and that's APEX Joint Minerals. This isn't another
[40:22] Speaker 3: gimmick or quick fix. It's a mineral complex and it's
[40:25] Speaker 3: inspired by a discovery high in the Sierra Mountains. And
[40:28] Speaker 3: it's minerals that your body actually recognizes and uses to
[40:32] Speaker 3: restore joint flexibility and comfort. And what makes APEX Joint
[40:36] Speaker 3: Minerals different is it's science seeing what happens when people
[40:40] Speaker 3: give their joints the nutrients they've been missing and they
[40:42] Speaker 3: get their life back. And that's what I want for you.
[40:45] Speaker 3: So if you're ready to move freely again, go to
[40:47] Speaker 3: Jointminerals dot com or call eight four four nine four
[40:52] Speaker 3: three one one four fourths Jointminerals dot com or call
[40:56] Speaker 3: now at eight four four nine four three one one
[41:00] Speaker 3: four four it texts Joint Minerals because movement is the
[41:03] Speaker 3: gift worth protecting. Welcome back, Doctor Adam Brockman here and
[41:22] Speaker 3: you're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show, and Doctor
[41:25] Speaker 3: Bob and I we've covered some ground a day from
[41:28] Speaker 3: that broken glass in your joints to the fire in
[41:32] Speaker 3: your chest. And so if there's there's one thing I
[41:35] Speaker 3: want you to take away from this hour, it's this
[41:38] Speaker 3: that you are the CEO of your own health, not
[41:42] Speaker 3: your doctor, not your insurance company, and that you can
[41:46] Speaker 3: also be your own best doctor most of the time,
[41:49] Speaker 3: and that that truth in health isn't always the easiest path.
[41:54] Speaker 3: It requires some discipline, and it requires questioning that that
[41:58] Speaker 3: status quo, and it require wires, a willingness to look
[42:01] Speaker 3: at the body as a whole, an integrated system, if
[42:04] Speaker 3: you will, rather than a collection of separate parts. And
[42:08] Speaker 3: so whether you're managing inflammation through movement or fixing your
[42:12] Speaker 3: gut to save your bones, that power is in your hands.
[42:17] Speaker 3: And doctor Bob, again, thank you for joining this hour
[42:21] Speaker 3: and giving the insight that only you can do. You
[42:23] Speaker 3: have some final thoughts.
[42:25] Speaker 4: I do just going with what you were saying.
[42:29] Speaker 7: The theme, and that is the body is attempting to
[42:32] Speaker 7: stay steady in an equilibrium, keeping the terrain of your
[42:37] Speaker 7: body healthy so that it's less likely to get six,
[42:40] Speaker 7: so that you have resistance.
[42:42] Speaker 4: When something goes wrong, it lowers the resistance and therefore
[42:46] Speaker 4: illness will follow. And that resistance could be something that
[42:52] Speaker 4: interfuces you by lack of sleep, not getting the right
[42:56] Speaker 4: type of diet and nutrients, mental stress, exposure to toxin's,
[43:02] Speaker 4: thermal stress, spiritual stress. These are all stressors that can
[43:07] Speaker 4: bring the body down.
[43:08] Speaker 6: And what we have to do, is, doctors, is teach
[43:11] Speaker 6: our patients how not to let that happen, and if
[43:14] Speaker 6: it does, how to get it right without having to
[43:19] Speaker 6: poison it at the same time, which is what the
[43:21] Speaker 6: medical profession is really all about.
[43:23] Speaker 4: And again there's not a putdown. We need medical care
[43:27] Speaker 4: for emergency care, but people use it too often when
[43:30] Speaker 4: there are kinder, gentler techniques and tools that could be used,
[43:34] Speaker 4: and hopefully people come to this radio show to find
[43:37] Speaker 4: out about those.
[43:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, well again, thanks doctor Bob and folks, you know,
[43:43] Speaker 3: doctor Bob and I were here to provide that map.
[43:46] Speaker 3: But you have to You have to ultimately drive the car.
[43:49] Speaker 3: So don't let another day go by where you're just
[43:53] Speaker 3: managing a decline. You can start advocating for yourself. You know,
[43:58] Speaker 3: when you go to the doctor, ask the hard questions.
[44:01] Speaker 3: If there's a treatment plan that doesn't make sense to you,
[44:05] Speaker 3: or if you're being handed a pill for every illness,
[44:09] Speaker 3: it's time to take that new perspective and that's why
[44:11] Speaker 3: you're here joining the show. And I also encourage you
[44:14] Speaker 3: to join our community on our social pages, our social networks,
[44:19] Speaker 3: even our YouTube channel, and also go visit our website
