[0:13] Speaker 1: We are focused, we are ready to go, and I
[0:16] Speaker 1: have got a whole week's worth of blowing up to do.
[0:19] Speaker 1: Let us get to it straight away.
[0:20] Speaker 2: Now.
[0:20] Speaker 1: We're going to talk to Maddi John's later tonight live
[0:23] Speaker 1: in Washington. Why because tomorrow the UFC is going to
[0:26] Speaker 1: be at the White House. What a pay per view
[0:29] Speaker 1: of Edit's going to be. I can't wait to see it.
[0:32] Speaker 1: Maddie has been to the White House, met Dana White,
[0:34] Speaker 1: all the rest of it. We'll have a chat to
[0:36] Speaker 1: him very shortly. The wonderful Lee Hansen is here as
[0:40] Speaker 1: always to talk about things to do with one nation.
[0:42] Speaker 1: But the Libs in Tasmania, two senators have pulled the
[0:45] Speaker 1: pin just this weekend. Do they see the riding on
[0:48] Speaker 1: the wall. I would think so. And first of the
[0:51] Speaker 1: shoutouts for our next our town. We are heading to
[0:53] Speaker 1: the mighty top End. We're going just outside of Darwin.
[0:56] Speaker 1: If you would like to join us, please do so.
[0:59] Speaker 1: If you can it Sunday the twenty eighth of June.
[1:02] Speaker 1: Sunday the twenty eighth of June, you can make it
[1:04] Speaker 1: to bear them up? Please our town at sky news
[1:07] Speaker 1: dot com dot are you our town at skynews dot
[1:09] Speaker 1: com dot are you a couple of Sundays from now.
[1:11] Speaker 1: But let's fill the room right now with all the
[1:13] Speaker 1: hardcorese if you can get to the NT. What a
[1:15] Speaker 1: magical time that's going to be this weekend coming well
[1:18] Speaker 1: should I say next weekend coming supercars? Then we're there
[1:22] Speaker 1: the next week and then a couple of days later
[1:24] Speaker 1: crack at night. What a time to be in the
[1:25] Speaker 1: Northern Territory. We will be there. Speaking of sport, well
[1:30] Speaker 1: under the soccer ruse, it didn't matter where you were
[1:32] Speaker 1: at home at a pub, you could hear the nation
[1:36] Speaker 1: cheering on as Australia beat Turkey to nil in the
[1:40] Speaker 1: first round. The scenes from a Federation Square absolutely fantastic.
[1:45] Speaker 1: The goals well worth playing again right over the top.
[1:49] Speaker 3: He is nesterary great first 'stery what.
[1:56] Speaker 1: It's a mystery movement? I beg And that's when the
[2:02] Speaker 1: story brings to the team. Boom, Now give me another one.
[2:06] Speaker 1: Bang covers up here fame. How good is that? How
[2:13] Speaker 1: good is that? Now? The expectation was that a turkey
[2:16] Speaker 1: would roll over the top of us, that the United
[2:19] Speaker 1: States when we meet them, Well that'll be a foregone conclusion.
[2:22] Speaker 1: I wouldn't think so. In fact, the very next game
[2:24] Speaker 1: of the Soccer Rus is going to be in Seattle, Washington,
[2:27] Speaker 1: so right on the hard left of the country on
[2:29] Speaker 1: its west coast. Five am is when that is going
[2:32] Speaker 1: to be happening. That'll be happening next Saturday, so early
[2:36] Speaker 1: morning starts. But what a weekend of sport. It has
[2:40] Speaker 1: been well done if you've been cheering along now. Of course,
[2:43] Speaker 1: the greatest prime Minister of all time, he can sense
[2:45] Speaker 1: a bandwagon one to jump on right now, and the
[2:49] Speaker 1: greatest of all time decided to post this incredibly lifelike
[2:53] Speaker 1: it's not ai photo of the Prime Minister today getting
[2:57] Speaker 1: ready celebrating good luck to the soccer Rus. And I
[2:59] Speaker 1: did noticed that about five and a half thousand people
[3:03] Speaker 1: had commented on the post. Now, just because there's comments
[3:06] Speaker 1: on social media doesn't mean news, no, but we can
[3:09] Speaker 1: have fun with it. Here are just some of the
[3:12] Speaker 1: quotes that were being served up. Trevor said that you
[3:14] Speaker 1: surprised your backing, Ozzie's that's a first. Probably going to
[3:18] Speaker 1: introduce a tax for every goal that scored? Was Christopher
[3:21] Speaker 1: Steven said at halftime he'll be going for the other
[3:23] Speaker 1: team because he's changed his position. Well done, I love
[3:26] Speaker 1: this stuff. Probably still has the tag on the jersey,
[3:30] Speaker 1: says Cory. Where's the three flags behind you? Pauly?
[3:35] Speaker 2: Not me?
[3:35] Speaker 1: Somebody else wrote that and danla Alba does the good
[3:39] Speaker 1: because he'll run off with it. Now. Why would Australians
[3:44] Speaker 1: not quite be in love with the greatest prime minister
[3:46] Speaker 1: of all time? Oh that's right. Can you rule out
[3:50] Speaker 1: any changes to negative gearing and capital gains tests? How
[3:54] Speaker 1: hard is it for the fiftiethos? So it was in
[3:57] Speaker 1: our position, then we have changed that. We have changed
[4:00] Speaker 1: to our position. Andrew, my word is my bond? Sure?
[4:05] Speaker 1: Speaking of people who don't tell the truth, Jim Chalmers,
[4:08] Speaker 1: the Treasurer of Australia, Well, he, of course the hope
[4:11] Speaker 1: of the side. Once elbow's out of the way, he's
[4:13] Speaker 1: the one who's going to sort of bring Triple J
[4:15] Speaker 1: Big Day out style politics, a new generation being even
[4:19] Speaker 1: cooler than the last cool generation. Well he ain't helping. Firstly,
[4:24] Speaker 1: he makes the decisions which have got the government in
[4:26] Speaker 1: the world of trouble that it currently is in the polls.
[4:29] Speaker 1: More evidence of that I'll get to in a moment
[4:30] Speaker 1: or two time. But he also thinks, like every politician,
[4:35] Speaker 1: that the best solution to a problem is to throw
[4:37] Speaker 1: more of the politician at it. So this evening on
[4:41] Speaker 1: Channel nine they have an interview with the Treasurer and
[4:45] Speaker 1: of course he's jiu jitsuing. He's playing four D chess,
[4:48] Speaker 1: he's beating everyone.
[4:49] Speaker 2: Well.
[4:50] Speaker 1: Channel nine decided to spare us the pain of having
[4:52] Speaker 1: to actually watch the program because all the good stuff
[4:55] Speaker 1: they released on social media. Here is the greatest treasurer
[4:59] Speaker 1: of all time. I'm really helping. Have a look at this.
[5:03] Speaker 1: This is you have a tasure Thanks very much.
[5:06] Speaker 4: Did you intend to make life harder for young Australians.
[5:10] Speaker 1: Of course not.
[5:10] Speaker 5: I mean this is all about making it easier for
[5:13] Speaker 5: young Australians to buy their first home.
[5:15] Speaker 4: You must be taken by surprise small business to encounter
[5:19] Speaker 4: the outcry from young people.
[5:20] Speaker 5: For too long, young people have been locked out of
[5:22] Speaker 5: the housing market. It is housing trust broken and the taxes.
[5:27] Speaker 1: About the small business change than part of the why
[5:30] Speaker 1: is that about the housing staff.
[5:32] Speaker 4: Now because of your budget, they think their only chance
[5:35] Speaker 4: of getting ahead is actually to leave the country. I mean,
[5:38] Speaker 4: if that's the case, you've failed, haven't you.
[5:41] Speaker 5: Well again, I mean, let's look at the facts of
[5:42] Speaker 5: what we're proposing here.
[5:45] Speaker 1: I'm telling the ticket to get out of the country.
[5:48] Speaker 1: Now what you're saying, you're like, you're faking six.
[5:52] Speaker 4: Were you hoping for a happier response?
[5:54] Speaker 5: No, this was about what I expected. When it comes
[5:57] Speaker 5: to following the polls, the voices of the status quo.
[6:01] Speaker 1: Six people are disapproving of the Prime Minister the status push.
[6:05] Speaker 1: There was a pushback on Channel nine.
[6:06] Speaker 4: People today suffering it's investors saying this country.
[6:10] Speaker 1: Is no longer worth investing in.
[6:12] Speaker 4: You know, there's there's no point in going into a
[6:14] Speaker 4: high risk, high return business because there's no incentive.
[6:18] Speaker 5: You need to be careful where you get your news from.
[6:21] Speaker 4: Were you and the Prime Minister lying when you said
[6:23] Speaker 4: you wouldn't touch negative gearing. We've spoken to the people
[6:26] Speaker 4: gains tax concession.
[6:28] Speaker 5: Well, that was the view that we held at the time,
[6:30] Speaker 5: and we've been in very upfront since Santa and saying
[6:32] Speaker 5: we've come to a different view.
[6:34] Speaker 4: You can see it is a broken election promise.
[6:37] Speaker 5: I understand that people will focus on that.
[6:39] Speaker 4: At the time that you made these promises, did you
[6:41] Speaker 4: know you were going to do something different hand on Hunt.
[6:45] Speaker 5: Yeah, we know that we'll lose some political skin from this,
[6:49] Speaker 5: but it's more important to us that we get the
[6:50] Speaker 5: policy right, even if the politics are contentious.
[6:53] Speaker 4: You've left yourself open to the criticism that it's smacks
[6:56] Speaker 4: of sneakiness.
[6:57] Speaker 1: Are you being sneaky? Of course not, of course, of
[7:01] Speaker 1: course not. But why would anyone think that I was sneaking?
[7:03] Speaker 1: Why would anyone think that we secretly always wanted to
[7:07] Speaker 1: do this. Oh that's right, because in the twenty nineteen
[7:09] Speaker 1: election they wanted to do it but it got rejected.
[7:12] Speaker 1: And Jim Chalmers has been the shadow treasurer before he
[7:15] Speaker 1: became the treasurer. He had an opportunity to talk about
[7:19] Speaker 1: this before the last election, but they aggressively said no,
[7:22] Speaker 1: it ain't going to happen. So are we supposed to
[7:24] Speaker 1: honestly believe that the man who's now saying no, no, no,
[7:27] Speaker 1: we only came up with this idea after the election
[7:31] Speaker 1: was lying when he said this seven years ago.
[7:36] Speaker 5: Housing affordability, which doesn't make important and considered changes to
[7:40] Speaker 5: capital gains and negative gearing has a hole in the
[7:43] Speaker 5: middle of it.
[7:44] Speaker 1: But what what what? He always believed what they put
[7:49] Speaker 1: in front of people in twenty nineteen, it was rejected
[7:53] Speaker 1: when asked, are you going to do it? No, definitely
[7:55] Speaker 1: not going to do it. Fingers crossed. They then go
[7:58] Speaker 1: and do it. It's only exclusively about negative gearing. But
[8:02] Speaker 1: of course the issue is to do with capital gains tax,
[8:04] Speaker 1: with small businesses, the amount of tax that they take,
[8:07] Speaker 1: let alone people who have worked out what to do
[8:10] Speaker 1: when they pass away, maybe through something like a family trust.
[8:13] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[8:14] Speaker 1: Nothing to be seen here. They're not helping Jim, but
[8:17] Speaker 1: please keep helping meantime the inquiry because this is the
[8:23] Speaker 1: most transparent government of all time into the changes that
[8:26] Speaker 1: are coming with the budget. Well, it starts tomorrow. They'll
[8:28] Speaker 1: be hearing in Canberra, they'll be hearing in Sydney. It'll
[8:31] Speaker 1: be run by the Senate because the Senators are responsible
[8:35] Speaker 1: for finally passing this. Look it's probably going to pass.
[8:39] Speaker 1: Why because the Greens, well they want it to even
[8:41] Speaker 1: go further Labor of course, and the Greens joined at
[8:44] Speaker 1: the hip. Plenty of others will sign it through will
[8:46] Speaker 1: we learn a little bit of detail about just how
[8:49] Speaker 1: fraudulent the inquiry is going to be? Now, these are
[8:52] Speaker 1: major changes affecting an awful lot of people, and at
[8:55] Speaker 1: the absolute heart of it, a government that didn't have
[8:57] Speaker 1: the balls to stand by what it always below even
[9:00] Speaker 1: since twenty nineteen and sneakily worked out a way to
[9:03] Speaker 1: make a change while overtly pretending that they weren't going
[9:06] Speaker 1: to do it. Did I say lie? Just so they
[9:09] Speaker 1: did in twenty twenty two. Cost living will be lower
[9:12] Speaker 1: under a Labor government. Liel lah, you get the point. Oh,
[9:16] Speaker 1: and I cannot wait to talk about fire the liar.
[9:19] Speaker 1: What a fun thing that was to watch from home.
[9:21] Speaker 1: But the inquiry is unsurprisingly not going to hear from
[9:26] Speaker 1: some of the most prominent critics. The people who have
[9:29] Speaker 1: the information have the data to turn around and say,
[9:31] Speaker 1: you know what, this isn't a good idea. In fact,
[9:35] Speaker 1: the majority of those who will be giving evidence are
[9:38] Speaker 1: already in support of much, if not all, of the changes.
[9:41] Speaker 1: Hence why the Shadow Treasurer Tim Wilson says a two
[9:45] Speaker 1: day inquiry into Labour's toxic taxes is already a stitch up.
[9:48] Speaker 1: Correct also because the Government and the Greens get together
[9:51] Speaker 1: to be in charge of who asks the questions and
[9:54] Speaker 1: the report which will conclude nothing to see here. The
[9:59] Speaker 1: least the Government controls Seniate Economics Committee could do is
[10:01] Speaker 1: stop stacking the agenda and hear from people who actually
[10:04] Speaker 1: pay the price. So who is turning up? Well, I
[10:07] Speaker 1: can tell you because I actually, for my sins had
[10:10] Speaker 1: a look today at who all of the guests are.
[10:12] Speaker 1: Let me show them before your very eyes. Now much,
[10:16] Speaker 1: if not most, certainly more than half of these people. Well,
[10:20] Speaker 1: they already support it because the Australian Institute is the
[10:23] Speaker 1: far left organization. You're also going to have in there
[10:28] Speaker 1: people like the union movement. You're also going to have
[10:32] Speaker 1: people such as a bunch of hand picked economists and professors.
[10:39] Speaker 1: And then of course Treasury gets to have it say
[10:41] Speaker 1: because it's completely impartial, despite the fact that, of course
[10:44] Speaker 1: it is the one who's helped model everything that's been
[10:46] Speaker 1: put in place. Yet again, a stack deck, yet again,
[10:49] Speaker 1: a rig game, yet again, the appearance of transparency when
[10:54] Speaker 1: the reality is they couldn't care less. So well done,
[10:58] Speaker 1: Prime Minister, again, a big win for you, A big
[11:01] Speaker 1: win for charmers, but an absolute go backwards for normal people. Now.
[11:09] Speaker 1: I loved being able to sit back and watch the
[11:13] Speaker 1: great idea of Peter Kredlin, which was fire the liar,
[11:16] Speaker 1: and that to be taken up by one nation, and
[11:18] Speaker 1: for that to go as wild as wild as it
[11:21] Speaker 1: has for the last week now. It was even fun
[11:25] Speaker 1: to see the sort of telethon style like coverage of
[11:28] Speaker 1: how much money was coming each and every day. All
[11:30] Speaker 1: fun to see, but it was also just fun to
[11:33] Speaker 1: see people in the media who remember cheered them in
[11:35] Speaker 1: in twenty two, cheered them back in in twenty five,
[11:38] Speaker 1: well having to say this over and over and over again.
[11:44] Speaker 6: Fire the liar, fire, the fire, the liar, fire the liar.
[11:51] Speaker 1: So well, remember how it was one million, that it
[11:55] Speaker 1: was two million, that it was three million. This is
[11:58] Speaker 1: the current number right now. Three point point nine three
[12:01] Speaker 1: point nine million dollars is how much this thing has raised,
[12:05] Speaker 1: better than the wireless dreams of anyone. There's going to
[12:08] Speaker 1: be merchandise, there's going to be stickers, there's going to
[12:10] Speaker 1: be all sorts of stuff that's going to follow with
[12:12] Speaker 1: all of this, But people are still giving literally one
[12:14] Speaker 1: of the comments on the Facebook page of the Prime
[12:17] Speaker 1: Minister doing that sort of hostage thing with the soccer
[12:20] Speaker 1: roos Jersey. Were people saying that they had just given
[12:22] Speaker 1: to fire the liar. So again the number right now,
[12:27] Speaker 1: three point nine million dollars. Not that the Prime Minister
[12:31] Speaker 1: believes this number at all.
[12:33] Speaker 7: She smashed him in the fundraising race, so she raised
[12:36] Speaker 7: more than a million.
[12:37] Speaker 1: Dollars, did she though?
[12:39] Speaker 2: Did she?
[12:40] Speaker 8: Though?
[12:40] Speaker 2: Did she?
[12:41] Speaker 1: What evidence is there? Ah about three point nine million
[12:45] Speaker 1: dollars worth, sir? And as for the receipts, one nation
[12:49] Speaker 1: is playing a blinder on this again. What an idea
[12:52] Speaker 1: from Peter Kredlin. Fire the liar. Love it, love it,
[12:54] Speaker 1: love love it, love it Right, that's the lady who
[12:56] Speaker 1: knows how to win and knows the words that count.
[12:58] Speaker 1: It's been weaponized, It's gone through the roof supercharged. I
[13:02] Speaker 1: love this because not only have they shown the receipts
[13:05] Speaker 1: and you saw all that last week, just today, one
[13:07] Speaker 1: nation decided to put out this. It's called a heat map.
[13:10] Speaker 1: Where there is an orange dot, there is a donation
[13:13] Speaker 1: and they ain't just coming from one place. Basically all
[13:18] Speaker 1: of the Eastern Seaboard has got something going on. Victoria.
[13:21] Speaker 1: Look at Victoria at the bottom of the map. Now
[13:25] Speaker 1: that is again not just the speck of Melbourne, it's
[13:27] Speaker 1: just outside, it's into the regions. In fact, on the
[13:30] Speaker 1: very latest opinion polls, including the one that came out
[13:32] Speaker 1: tonight from Resolve, and I'll talk about that with the
[13:34] Speaker 1: panel later, the highest primary vote for one Nation is
[13:38] Speaker 1: currently Victoria. We know they're traveling at the state level,
[13:42] Speaker 1: but at the federal level, how good is that? So
[13:44] Speaker 1: what do you do with three point nine million dollars? Okay,
[13:46] Speaker 1: they're going to drive around with the truck. Okay, they
[13:48] Speaker 1: make a couple of t shirts. They're going all in.
[13:51] Speaker 1: They're going all in. Pauline Hanson on Facebook today announced
[13:57] Speaker 1: that part of this money is going to co to
[14:00] Speaker 1: State of Origin ads. ADS in the State of Origin,
[14:04] Speaker 1: of course watched buy people all the way around the country.
[14:09] Speaker 1: Millions of people will watch it. They will see it.
[14:10] Speaker 1: And as they write directly here, Albow One Nation are
[14:15] Speaker 1: turning Elbows Lives to a full blown campaign for fire
[14:18] Speaker 1: the Liar. We're now working on TV commercials for State
[14:20] Speaker 1: of Origin and giant banners that will fly beneath helicopters
[14:23] Speaker 1: across our major cities. Because of the donations, real money,
[14:26] Speaker 1: real data, real campaign to get rid of labor. How
[14:30] Speaker 1: a freaking Louah fire, the liar, fire, the liar. If
[14:36] Speaker 1: I can put it on the set, I'll put it
[14:37] Speaker 1: on the set. But may you be of no doubt whatsoever.
[14:40] Speaker 1: It is in my heart all day, every day. What
[14:43] Speaker 1: a great idea and good on you Australia for backing it.
[14:46] Speaker 1: You know, the website to keep going. Imagine if it
[14:48] Speaker 1: went over four million bucks. Now continue, you see, I'm
[14:55] Speaker 1: enjoying them back on the telly right it's not as
[14:57] Speaker 1: yelling at the telly. You're going to be on it
[14:58] Speaker 1: right now. It's so good to be back see you
[15:00] Speaker 1: all right now, as you know, the race right now
[15:02] Speaker 1: about whom the prime minister is going to be after
[15:04] Speaker 1: the next election, it's still got a long way to run.
[15:07] Speaker 1: Currently in the Reserve poll, the preferred prime minister is handsome, one,
[15:12] Speaker 1: a bit easy, two, don't know, three and Taylor four again.
[15:15] Speaker 1: We get to that a little bit later. The headlines
[15:17] Speaker 1: News Pole, top of the Tree pauling Hanson and one Nation,
[15:21] Speaker 1: red Bridge. In the Financial Review, Top of the Tree
[15:24] Speaker 1: pauling Hanson, One Nation Tonight again, the resolved poll again
[15:27] Speaker 1: twenty nine to twenty eight, top of the pole one nation.
[15:32] Speaker 1: But if there is one conversation that can we please
[15:35] Speaker 1: stop having, it's this endless conversation, where are all these
[15:40] Speaker 1: voters coming from? And what do they believe in? And
[15:43] Speaker 1: why have they all suddenly decided all at once to
[15:46] Speaker 1: jump in behind one nation, As you know, a swim
[15:51] Speaker 1: in the data all day, every day, not to look
[15:54] Speaker 1: for things that will confirm my opinion, but to be
[15:56] Speaker 1: able to show you what the trends are. And again
[15:58] Speaker 1: these are just poles, just little flags in the wind.
[16:03] Speaker 1: But that the closest that you get between an election.
[16:05] Speaker 1: And it doesn't matter where the company is from. The
[16:07] Speaker 1: Turbul Times, the Australian Sky News and the Pulse Red,
[16:11] Speaker 1: they're all telling the same story. The one Nation, which
[16:14] Speaker 1: started at six is now close to thirty percent. And
[16:18] Speaker 1: that has all happened in about twelve and a bit months.
[16:21] Speaker 1: It is an extraordinary thing to take place. But I
[16:25] Speaker 1: want to turn down the noise and sharpen the focus
[16:28] Speaker 1: for people to understand not necessarily where is one nation
[16:32] Speaker 1: getting all these voters from, but where is labor losing them?
[16:37] Speaker 1: One area, and one area above all is the great indicator,
[16:41] Speaker 1: and it is of the people who voted in the
[16:43] Speaker 1: twenty twenty five election. The biggest group that ended up
[16:47] Speaker 1: basically matching the overall two party preferred are people with
[16:54] Speaker 1: a mortgage. Let me explain the red Bridge pole I
[16:57] Speaker 1: mate cause Samarus. They get into the detail where they
[17:00] Speaker 1: have a look at mortgage holders, renters and people who
[17:03] Speaker 1: own their own home. In November of the year before
[17:07] Speaker 1: the last election, coalition up fifty three forty seven. The
[17:10] Speaker 1: interest rate change in February of twenty twenty five pulled
[17:16] Speaker 1: it back to fifty to fifty. The month that followed,
[17:21] Speaker 1: where we were running away to another interst rate fall
[17:24] Speaker 1: and a whole bunch of stuff to do with the
[17:25] Speaker 1: trumps and tariffs and all the rest of it, turned
[17:26] Speaker 1: it to fifty five forty five. That was locked in
[17:29] Speaker 1: one month later. It was confirmed at the election. But
[17:31] Speaker 1: the point being, as you can see, at the end
[17:33] Speaker 1: of twenty twenty four, mortgage holders, because of those fifteen
[17:37] Speaker 1: interest rate rises where they were against the government, they
[17:40] Speaker 1: were willing to change the government. Things got slightly better,
[17:42] Speaker 1: so it leveled up and then it started to go
[17:45] Speaker 1: the way of labor. And again you can see on
[17:49] Speaker 1: this graph here put together by the good people of
[17:51] Speaker 1: SBS News that after fifteen interstrate rises, a long period
[17:55] Speaker 1: of time of things being held, when they started to
[17:57] Speaker 1: come down and the government was running the web turn
[17:59] Speaker 1: the corner, people started to go, Okay, benefit of the doubt,
[18:02] Speaker 1: you're only a one term government. Fine, fair enough, you
[18:04] Speaker 1: get three more years. And then this little thing called
[18:07] Speaker 1: inflation happened. An inflation, of course, got so bad in
[18:11] Speaker 1: Australia that it was way worse than the United States,
[18:14] Speaker 1: way worse than the United Kingdom. We're currently four and
[18:17] Speaker 1: a bit percent. Japan is still one and a bit percent.
[18:20] Speaker 1: So interest rates it went up once, they went up twice,
[18:23] Speaker 1: they went up three times. All of those interest rate
[18:27] Speaker 1: rises mean that now currently, right now again back to
[18:29] Speaker 1: the SBS data, things are as bad as they were
[18:33] Speaker 1: now as they were in November of twenty twenty four.
[18:38] Speaker 1: Single biggest group that gives you an indication about where
[18:41] Speaker 1: Australia is going to go are the people that are
[18:43] Speaker 1: paying off a mortgage because they are gay. They are straight,
[18:47] Speaker 1: they are black, they are white, they are male, they
[18:49] Speaker 1: are female. They are rich, they are poor, they have kids,
[18:51] Speaker 1: they don't have kids. They've got a car, they don't
[18:53] Speaker 1: have a car, they've got a dog, they've got a cat.
[18:55] Speaker 1: They are the middle third of the country, the middle
[18:59] Speaker 1: third of the country that when times are bad, swing
[19:02] Speaker 1: one way and when times a good, swing another way.
[19:04] Speaker 1: They were the determinative group that helped save labor last time. Well,
[19:10] Speaker 1: of course we do the sky News Pulse poll here
[19:13] Speaker 1: and that'll be coming up again on Tuesday night. Thanks
[19:16] Speaker 1: to the good people of Yugov. They too got it
[19:18] Speaker 1: bang on right that labor was going to get fifty
[19:20] Speaker 1: five forty five at the last federal election. Well, guess
[19:24] Speaker 1: what's going on. Labor have lost ten points, ten points
[19:28] Speaker 1: since just the start of the year with the people
[19:30] Speaker 1: that are paying off a mortgage. Why because the interest
[19:32] Speaker 1: rates have been going up, because people are now right
[19:35] Speaker 1: back in the pain that they were in for all
[19:38] Speaker 1: of twenty four that got them to the place where
[19:41] Speaker 1: fifty three forty seven they were going to put Peter
[19:43] Speaker 1: Dutton and the Liberal Party in as the government and
[19:46] Speaker 1: get rid of labor after just one term. Have a
[19:51] Speaker 1: look at that thirty three percent the number one choice
[19:55] Speaker 1: one nation. They did not figure anywhere when it was
[19:59] Speaker 1: twenty twenty before that was the Liberal Party, the liberal
[20:01] Speaker 1: party running a desperate third. But you want to talk
[20:04] Speaker 1: about the people that you need to win over most
[20:05] Speaker 1: to win an election, it is the people that are
[20:08] Speaker 1: trying to pay off a freaking house. When we compare again,
[20:12] Speaker 1: where labor is up, where labor is down with people
[20:15] Speaker 1: who own their own home, thirty one percent of people
[20:19] Speaker 1: who own their own home. They're in with one nation
[20:21] Speaker 1: that is dead level right now with the coalition. Put
[20:23] Speaker 1: them together if you preference each other. Remember your number
[20:26] Speaker 1: two is just as important as your number one when
[20:28] Speaker 1: it comes to vote labor. Gonski and this is the
[20:32] Speaker 1: one where I hope you're sitting down with Renters. One
[20:37] Speaker 1: nation is up eleven points since the start of the year,
[20:41] Speaker 1: up eleven points. Now you're doing the sums there, I'll
[20:45] Speaker 1: hang on the minus one minus three had he get
[20:47] Speaker 1: eleven because it came off the coalition, it came off others,
[20:49] Speaker 1: it came off independence. So remember Renters were supposedly going
[20:54] Speaker 1: to deliver the Greens. They're not playing. They're going to
[20:56] Speaker 1: one nation. Because this isn't ideological, it's not left and right.
[21:00] Speaker 1: It is about people who can put up with the
[21:03] Speaker 1: pain or cannot stand any more of it. People who
[21:07] Speaker 1: know that the people who allegedly turned the corner in
[21:11] Speaker 1: order to win an election, who fiddled with inflation by
[21:16] Speaker 1: handing out those energy rebates, are the very same people
[21:20] Speaker 1: who have been able to have a situation where all
[21:26] Speaker 1: of that has been pushed away. Reality has kicked back in.
[21:29] Speaker 1: Our inflation worse than the rest of the world, and unbelievably,
[21:33] Speaker 1: right now, you're in a scenario where the number one
[21:37] Speaker 1: party with renters one nation, the number one party with
[21:41] Speaker 1: mortgage holders one nation. That's two thirds of Australia. That
[21:46] Speaker 1: is where labor is losing. That is where one nation
[21:48] Speaker 1: is winning, and that is where the coalition has to
[21:50] Speaker 1: do a whole lot better. And while I'm digging around
[21:56] Speaker 1: in the numbers again, I just wanted to compare start
[21:58] Speaker 1: of the year to the middle of the year. Right,
[22:00] Speaker 1: middle of June, we're basically bang on right, We're here
[22:03] Speaker 1: are the middle of the year. Let's have a look
[22:06] Speaker 1: at the generations because the generation gap. Remember if you
[22:10] Speaker 1: look at the elector role, cut it in half. People
[22:12] Speaker 1: over the age of fifty, people under the age of fifty.
[22:15] Speaker 1: That's why they made the choices they did around the budget.
[22:17] Speaker 1: It's why they make the choices. When it comes to
[22:19] Speaker 1: university feest, they'll do all that again. And there's plenty
[22:22] Speaker 1: of little patch ups they can do between now and
[22:24] Speaker 1: the next election. But where are they losing? Where are
[22:27] Speaker 1: they hurting? Where are they bleeding? With younger voters labor
[22:30] Speaker 1: in the Greens dead level right now? Twenty nine percent
[22:34] Speaker 1: coalition one nation not really in this game at all.
[22:36] Speaker 1: That's eighteen to twenty nine year olds. Millennials, they're super woke, right, well,
[22:41] Speaker 1: why are eighteen percent of them currently? Sorry? Should I
[22:45] Speaker 1: say twenty five percent? A quarter of them backing in
[22:48] Speaker 1: one nation? Just a couple of points off. Millennials one
[22:52] Speaker 1: nation is right now. You'd prefer to be them going
[22:54] Speaker 1: up by seven, then the collective down by seven. That
[22:57] Speaker 1: is the establishment, political parties, eneration, Generation X, the ones
[23:01] Speaker 1: paying off the mortgage forty two percent, forty two percent, unbelievable,
[23:10] Speaker 1: forty two percent. Less than a quarter of Gen X
[23:15] Speaker 1: is voting labor and well less than one in five
[23:18] Speaker 1: when it comes to the coalition. So surprise, surprise, the
[23:21] Speaker 1: people and the dead center of Australia paying off a
[23:23] Speaker 1: house in their middle age, with young kids, older parents,
[23:27] Speaker 1: all the pressures in the world they are saying a
[23:30] Speaker 1: big fu to the government. They hadn't been convinced to
[23:34] Speaker 1: go to the opposition. They are rallying around one nation.
[23:38] Speaker 1: When it comes to boomers. This is people that are
[23:40] Speaker 1: between the ages are basically sixty and eighty one. Nation
[23:42] Speaker 1: again thirty four percent, Coalition twenty eight percent and Labor
[23:46] Speaker 1: twenty five percent. Ironically, Labour's vote gets better above the
[23:50] Speaker 1: age of eighty the Coalition vote does as well, but
[23:53] Speaker 1: numerically speaking, the dead center of the country of a
[23:56] Speaker 1: certain age regardless again sex, gender, ped ownership, Ford, Holden,
[24:01] Speaker 1: byd whatever you are. That group of people, they are
[24:05] Speaker 1: fired up and they are ready to riot. As for Victoria,
[24:10] Speaker 1: there was quite a protest that took place this weekend,
[24:12] Speaker 1: just seeing to Allen on her way hopefully to the
[24:15] Speaker 1: exit in November. But we'll all have to wait, watch
[24:17] Speaker 1: and sea together fingers crossed giant protest her hometown, her
[24:20] Speaker 1: home seat, Bendigo. Why because of this emergency services levy.
[24:25] Speaker 1: You know, it's a disgrace. They tried to delay it.
[24:27] Speaker 1: Well it's all back again and they're not letting the
[24:29] Speaker 1: premier get away with it. He was one of the
[24:31] Speaker 1: CFA volunteers ripping her a new one.
[24:34] Speaker 9: To day, it's just gone up and up and up up,
[24:37] Speaker 9: and it's another impulse on us.
[24:39] Speaker 1: And where's the money going to? It's not going to
[24:41] Speaker 1: ask I think somehow it's going back in the government
[24:43] Speaker 1: coffae somewhere.
[24:44] Speaker 5: Significant cost of living is high and it's it's difficult
[24:48] Speaker 5: for families everywhere, but for farmers in particular.
[24:52] Speaker 1: You mean those people that might be paying off a mortgage,
[24:54] Speaker 1: who've got kick are you? Are you seeing what's happening
[24:58] Speaker 1: All this conversation about people who want to pretend, oh
[25:02] Speaker 1: there's a protest here, and there's a protest there. It's
[25:04] Speaker 1: a bad people who have just had enough and they've
[25:06] Speaker 1: had enough because they've been squeezed, because they've been screwed,
[25:08] Speaker 1: and because they've been bs two by everyone for too long.
[25:12] Speaker 1: I know that upsets some people, but that is just
[25:14] Speaker 1: the truth, all right. I don't know what's going to
[25:16] Speaker 1: happen next week, next year, or at the election, but
[25:19] Speaker 1: right now today, this is what is going on. It
[25:22] Speaker 1: is extraordinary. As for the potential next premiere of Victoria,
[25:26] Speaker 1: well she was there, not hiding like the current one is.
[25:30] Speaker 6: This government has mismanaged the budget for a decade, and
[25:34] Speaker 6: now they are coming after the very people who go
[25:37] Speaker 6: out and risk their lives.
[25:39] Speaker 1: Now, I said, it was a big weekend for sport.
[25:41] Speaker 1: Still got Formula one ahead. I know, right, but stick
[25:44] Speaker 1: with me. You know I love them in New York.
[25:46] Speaker 1: You know we've got our documentary coming up in a
[25:48] Speaker 1: few weeks time. Well what a time if you like basketball,
[25:52] Speaker 1: but particularly if you're like New York when it comes
[25:53] Speaker 1: to basketball, because they haven't won a title for fifty years.
[25:56] Speaker 1: They did it, and they did it over the San
[25:58] Speaker 1: Antonio Spurs. It is a best of even series. They
[26:00] Speaker 1: didn't need it because they were able to get them
[26:03] Speaker 1: in five. They lost one, they won four, They win
[26:05] Speaker 1: the title. People went nuts, for example Exhibit A, the
[26:21] Speaker 1: exhibit B, and I don't even know what they're saying,
[26:34] Speaker 1: but they were saying it loudly.
[26:36] Speaker 6: Never got any order.
[26:38] Speaker 1: Order go on.
[26:39] Speaker 6: We stayed together in the said.
[27:02] Speaker 2: Mathew, more words, to do it hard.
[27:11] Speaker 1: Again. I heard birthday in there somewhere, and I heard
[27:13] Speaker 1: nix an awful lot. Enjoy the win if you're a
[27:15] Speaker 1: long suffering Knicks fan, or you just like seeing the
[27:18] Speaker 1: underdog get up. Strange that that is New York. But
[27:22] Speaker 1: it is when it comes to basketball, but no longer.
[27:24] Speaker 1: Quick break back with Bore Lee Hanson Daniel Wild standing
[27:27] Speaker 1: by to discuss a whole bunch of stuff including get
[27:29] Speaker 1: another pole telling the story. They are on their way
[27:32] Speaker 1: and something's going on with the Tasmanian libs. Two senators
[27:34] Speaker 1: this weekend have all pulled the pin. Is it because
[27:36] Speaker 1: they know Lee Hanson is coming? Yeah? Probably we'll talk
[27:40] Speaker 1: to her in a moment's time as well as Maddie
[27:42] Speaker 1: John's White House in the UFC. Whoo great to be back.
[27:50] Speaker 1: Thank you so much for watching. Thank you very much
[27:52] Speaker 1: for following on all the socials as well, which is
[27:54] Speaker 1: a PM on air. If you are on Instagram, let's
[27:57] Speaker 1: lift that one up. Also, just go searching for Paul
[27:59] Speaker 1: Murray Live. But remember but the homepagesko news dot com
[28:02] Speaker 1: that are you share all of the content, spread the
[28:04] Speaker 1: message far and wide because of a noise lefties. It
[28:07] Speaker 1: just that's what we want to feel right now. Two
[28:10] Speaker 1: people that are more than happy because the snow sook
[28:11] Speaker 1: snow Lefties with that particular message, the great Lee Hanson
[28:14] Speaker 1: hopefully on our way to the Senate with one nation
[28:16] Speaker 1: in TASMANI, I'd love you to see your mate Daniel
[28:18] Speaker 1: Wild fingers crossed, He too gets into the federal polament
[28:20] Speaker 1: one day because you know I want good people there,
[28:22] Speaker 1: all right, So Lee, take your pick. The story is
[28:25] Speaker 1: the same every day. The story is the same every week.
[28:28] Speaker 1: But I know you don't take anything for granted. Pole
[28:30] Speaker 1: drops in the Channel nine newspapers and via their TV
[28:33] Speaker 1: stations tonight it yet again confirms in every pole now
[28:37] Speaker 1: that one Nation is the number one political party in
[28:41] Speaker 1: the country. They've got you twenty nine to twenty eight
[28:43] Speaker 1: over labor, the Coalition down to twenty the preferred prime
[28:48] Speaker 1: minister stakes has got your Mum at thirty three percent,
[28:53] Speaker 1: Albanizi at twenty nine, undecided at twenty two, Taylor of
[28:58] Speaker 1: course at six. Pretty obviously with less than thirty percent,
[29:04] Speaker 1: the Prime minister is in a world of trouble. But
[29:05] Speaker 1: we have quite a way to go between now and then,
[29:08] Speaker 1: So Lee, who knows we'd all love to get in
[29:12] Speaker 1: a time machine and find out what happens in two
[29:14] Speaker 1: years time. But how do you make sure that you
[29:17] Speaker 1: don't just keep the momentum you turn it into memberships.
[29:20] Speaker 1: You're getting behind things like fire the lyre because it
[29:23] Speaker 1: feels like one Nation is operating on twenty eight cylinders
[29:26] Speaker 1: at the moment and finding new ways to get votes.
[29:31] Speaker 6: We stay the course, Paul, And isn't it phenomenal to
[29:35] Speaker 6: see the validation of the hard work and the tenacity
[29:40] Speaker 6: and the resilience of our leader, Pauline after all these
[29:44] Speaker 6: years and people are realizing that One Nation represents the
[29:49] Speaker 6: everyday Australians and we're here and we care about our
[29:52] Speaker 6: country and we put Australia first. So yes, you can't
[29:55] Speaker 6: take it for granted. You have to stay the course.
[29:57] Speaker 6: You have to translate it. We need to keep building
[29:59] Speaker 6: our polar season.
[30:00] Speaker 8: Yes, Paul. We have plenty of policies and we have
[30:02] Speaker 8: plenty more coming and to demonstrate to the public of
[30:07] Speaker 8: exactly what we stand for.
[30:09] Speaker 6: But the key difference and why we're resonating so much
[30:12] Speaker 6: is we're authentic. We say what we mean, and we
[30:15] Speaker 6: meet what we say, and people can see that they
[30:18] Speaker 6: can relate.
[30:19] Speaker 2: Do you know.
[30:19] Speaker 6: I went to the Melbourne fundraising event on Friday night
[30:23] Speaker 6: and I said to Mum afterwards, I said, I can't
[30:27] Speaker 6: get over how many people just want to hug you.
[30:30] Speaker 8: Every person you meet just wants to hug you. They
[30:33] Speaker 8: want to have this connection to you.
[30:34] Speaker 6: They see you as as part of them, an extension
[30:39] Speaker 6: of them, that you're representing them and giving them hope.
[30:42] Speaker 6: You tell me one other politician out there that would
[30:44] Speaker 6: get as many hugs and kisses as Pauline hands.
[30:46] Speaker 8: And I can't name many, that's for sure.
[30:49] Speaker 1: Dare I say it right now? No it's mum, and
[30:51] Speaker 1: no it's party leader. But it's like, you know, I've
[30:53] Speaker 1: never seen anything like it, and I've seen it from
[30:56] Speaker 1: when it was you know, won't we make it to
[30:58] Speaker 1: the Senate in twenty six bean out the back of Birdsville,
[31:01] Speaker 1: all the way through to the state elections and again,
[31:03] Speaker 1: I think we all know a Pauline somewhere at some
[31:05] Speaker 1: point in time, and more people wanting to put that
[31:08] Speaker 1: at the front and center of things. Daniel. Again, we've
[31:10] Speaker 1: had a version of this conversation all the time because
[31:12] Speaker 1: it is just relentless the information. But let's get back
[31:15] Speaker 1: to my observation about Labour's greatest vulnerability, and that is
[31:20] Speaker 1: people with a mortgage. Now, people with a mortgage. As
[31:22] Speaker 1: I showed at the end of twenty four when the
[31:24] Speaker 1: Libs were in front, they were starting to move away
[31:27] Speaker 1: because interstrates hadn't changed. The change happened in February. It
[31:31] Speaker 1: was able to bring them back. They saved their backside.
[31:33] Speaker 1: Same thing when it comes to Generation X, we're now
[31:36] Speaker 1: seeing again as interest rates have basically gone back to
[31:38] Speaker 1: where they were in the dark days of twenty twenty
[31:41] Speaker 1: four that, unsurprisingly the Prime Minister six out of ten
[31:44] Speaker 1: people not interested ten point drop in the number of
[31:47] Speaker 1: people with a mortgage that are being paid off. So
[31:50] Speaker 1: is this yes, currently strength for one nation, but surely, surely,
[31:54] Speaker 1: shortly this is the opportunity for the coalition. That is
[31:58] Speaker 1: the group of people who, more than any one on
[32:00] Speaker 1: other ones, that are the ones willing to move.
[32:05] Speaker 3: Well, I think that's right. But what you're seeing here,
[32:07] Speaker 3: I think, Paul, is this is really Middle Australia. Yes,
[32:11] Speaker 3: it's about the mortgages and the economic situation. But if
[32:14] Speaker 3: you'll say, forty years old, forty five years old, you
[32:18] Speaker 3: have seen before your eyes your country go from one
[32:22] Speaker 3: of the greatest countries that's ever existed to where we
[32:25] Speaker 3: are today.
[32:26] Speaker 2: Now.
[32:26] Speaker 3: Yes, we're still the greatest country on earth, but we
[32:29] Speaker 3: have plummeted so much in just the space of a generation.
[32:32] Speaker 3: And they have seen it with their own eyes, whether
[32:34] Speaker 3: it's the economic circumstances, whether it's the degradation of our culture,
[32:38] Speaker 3: the mass migration that has turned suburbs that these people
[32:41] Speaker 3: grew up in to being completely unrecognizable. And when you've
[32:45] Speaker 3: got children coming through, they now see that they're not
[32:48] Speaker 3: going to be able to afford a home, going to
[32:50] Speaker 3: university or going to tafe, is no longer enough to
[32:52] Speaker 3: get a decent, well paid, full time job, and all
[32:56] Speaker 3: of this has sort of happened while they've been out
[32:58] Speaker 3: there busy attending to their response abilities, having a job,
[33:01] Speaker 3: paying the mortgage, raising the family. They stick their neck
[33:03] Speaker 3: up for air. And the first time they did that
[33:05] Speaker 3: was with the Voice de Parliament, right. This was the
[33:07] Speaker 3: first time this cohort got really fired up. And I
[33:10] Speaker 3: reckon if you were to overlay those who volunteer their
[33:12] Speaker 3: time and money for the No campaign at the Voice
[33:16] Speaker 3: to those who are doing the same for Fire the Liar,
[33:18] Speaker 3: I reckon there'd be a pretty significant overlap between those
[33:21] Speaker 3: two campaigns. So I reckon a lot of people are
[33:24] Speaker 3: pretty fired up at the moment well.
[33:25] Speaker 1: And also similar to the No situation, as you saw
[33:30] Speaker 1: Lee in Melbourne, the more rat bags that turn up
[33:33] Speaker 1: to protest. I mean they're doing you a favor, right
[33:36] Speaker 1: because not only how extreme they are, how weird the
[33:39] Speaker 1: left has become, how the particular people they can't help
[33:42] Speaker 1: themselves going too far. Rather than just trying to be
[33:45] Speaker 1: a form of resistance or opposition, it's got to be
[33:47] Speaker 1: the worst form of abuse, the mostly humanizing and excessive
[33:51] Speaker 1: language targeting normal people going in and out, not even
[33:54] Speaker 1: the high profile political figures that are in all of this.
[33:58] Speaker 1: And again there's a fatal flaw Peter Dutton and the
[34:00] Speaker 1: Liberal Party made in twenty twenty five, which was follow
[34:03] Speaker 1: the know and that becomes the vote again. I think
[34:06] Speaker 1: the aggravating factor there was the changes when it came
[34:09] Speaker 1: to mortgage holders. But again when you're at that event
[34:13] Speaker 1: last weekly, I mean it's almost manner from heaven. The
[34:16] Speaker 1: more protesters that turn up, the harder they think they
[34:19] Speaker 1: are making life for one nation. They are pushing people
[34:22] Speaker 1: towards it, because if you've got a choice of the
[34:24] Speaker 1: people in that room or the people outside, nine out
[34:27] Speaker 1: of ten are going to identify with the people inside.
[34:30] Speaker 8: Right one hundred percent.
[34:34] Speaker 6: They're actually forging more support for conservative politics and one nation.
[34:39] Speaker 8: As a result of it. They're standing there fighting their cause.
[34:42] Speaker 6: But all they're demonstrating is the extreme activism and complete
[34:47] Speaker 6: disconnect on the left and people. It highlights what exactly
[34:52] Speaker 6: we're trying to fight, what we need to stand up
[34:54] Speaker 6: and rise up against. And you know the comments and
[34:57] Speaker 6: the signs that you see by the individuals, I mean,
[35:01] Speaker 6: what depth to the nation. Why isn't this hate crime?
[35:05] Speaker 6: Why is the double standards? Why is it acceptable for them?
[35:08] Speaker 6: But when you see people from conservative cyber politics, you know,
[35:12] Speaker 6: the average Australian out there, you know, protesting or trying
[35:15] Speaker 6: to stand up for their future. Their branded you know,
[35:19] Speaker 6: the far right, they're branded, but they don't use the hate,
[35:22] Speaker 6: they don't use the violence that we're seeing from the left,
[35:26] Speaker 6: you know.
[35:26] Speaker 8: And people have had enough.
[35:27] Speaker 6: And this is why exactly to your point, fire the Lie,
[35:30] Speaker 6: which has been a brilliant campaign, has absolutely surged because
[35:35] Speaker 6: it shows just how outraged people are and this is
[35:40] Speaker 6: their way to put their hand up, to have a
[35:42] Speaker 6: voice and say enough, we want the labor government gone
[35:45] Speaker 6: and we are going.
[35:46] Speaker 2: To do that.
[35:47] Speaker 1: Well it's way just south right now. Four million bucks,
[35:49] Speaker 1: it'll be that by the time we wake up in
[35:50] Speaker 1: the morning. Look again, Free advice it's worth what you
[35:53] Speaker 1: pay for it. Could the people who make the cartoon
[35:55] Speaker 1: make the add for origin. It'll stand like the proverbial, right,
[35:58] Speaker 1: I'd love to see it. It'll be so. I love
[36:00] Speaker 1: that picture behind you know, and please that you've stuck
[36:02] Speaker 1: with the beetroot color. There no change when it came
[36:05] Speaker 1: to the depiction of Barnaby. I love it all right now,
[36:07] Speaker 1: Daniel again, opportunity for the coalition here. I think tomorrow
[36:12] Speaker 1: is when they need to start two weeks ram ram
[36:14] Speaker 1: ram about the excise cut when it comes to fuel.
[36:18] Speaker 1: June thirty is when it is going to disappear. That
[36:22] Speaker 1: means up to thirty two cents. Once you're throw in
[36:24] Speaker 1: gst up, it goes again. This is while the government
[36:28] Speaker 1: is in a world of pain when it comes to
[36:30] Speaker 1: the budget. To me, this is the clear air. This
[36:32] Speaker 1: is the obvious target. Do you think that there's a
[36:35] Speaker 1: chance that this is what the message is for the
[36:37] Speaker 1: next couple of weeks. Will they be able to get there?
[36:41] Speaker 3: Well, I think it's got to be the message you're
[36:42] Speaker 3: banging on. I mean, this affects everybody in a big way.
[36:45] Speaker 3: We know that goes right through the economy, the transport sector,
[36:47] Speaker 3: and everything else. You know, the other point here is
[36:50] Speaker 3: not just about the fuel excise, but about the fact
[36:52] Speaker 3: that the government hasn't bothered to actually use this moment
[36:56] Speaker 3: to fix its terrible policies. You know, we now import,
[36:59] Speaker 3: as you know, about eighty percent of our liquid fuels
[37:02] Speaker 3: into this country. Now that was just twenty percent two
[37:05] Speaker 3: decades ago. And this hasn't been an accident. This is
[37:09] Speaker 3: an example of the deliberate and managed decline of Australia.
[37:13] Speaker 3: There is nothing inevitable, there's no reason why we have
[37:15] Speaker 3: to shut down oil refineries other than we have chosen
[37:18] Speaker 3: to or our political leaders have chosen to. And you
[37:21] Speaker 3: look at policies like net zero, you look at the regulation,
[37:25] Speaker 3: the red tape, the Green tape, the environmental activism, you know,
[37:28] Speaker 3: the climate change misinformation that's promulgated through schools that says
[37:32] Speaker 3: if you drive a car, you're a bad person because
[37:34] Speaker 3: you're going to cause sea levels to rise and you're
[37:35] Speaker 3: going to kill people. I mean, all of that is
[37:37] Speaker 3: still out there. So this fuel exercise, I think is
[37:41] Speaker 3: a microcosm of a much much bigger problem we have
[37:44] Speaker 3: in our society. The government's done absolutely nothing about it.
[37:47] Speaker 3: So yeah, I agree with you. The Coalition needs to
[37:49] Speaker 3: be hammering this for at least the next couple of
[37:51] Speaker 3: weeks and probably a lot longer.
[37:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the thing. The only reason was cut
[37:54] Speaker 1: in the first place was because of what the Coalition
[37:57] Speaker 1: and one Nation we're able to do. Here's the opportunity
[37:59] Speaker 1: again to stand out on that for the next couple
[38:01] Speaker 1: of weeks. All Right, I've got Maddie John standing by
[38:03] Speaker 1: in Washington, and I'm sure he's very excited that he's
[38:06] Speaker 1: up at twenty to eight in the morning over there.
[38:08] Speaker 1: We'll have a chat to Maddie in a couple of
[38:09] Speaker 1: minutes time ahead of that UFC, which event that you'll
[38:12] Speaker 1: be able to see on main event. I can't wait
[38:13] Speaker 1: to talk to him about the experience of the White House.
[38:16] Speaker 1: But Lee Hanson and Daniel Wild your bold predictions for
[38:18] Speaker 1: the week ahead, Lee, what is definitely happening this week?
[38:23] Speaker 8: Look, I had to pitch this one for Dan.
[38:25] Speaker 6: I've got my must say, Dan, I'm going for the
[38:29] Speaker 6: Queensland a win this week. I know my New South
[38:33] Speaker 6: Wales colleagues I might upset them a little bit in
[38:36] Speaker 6: Senator Belle's office, but I have to go for the
[38:38] Speaker 6: Queensland win.
[38:39] Speaker 1: All right, level the series at one. All we'll see Daniel.
[38:43] Speaker 3: I've got a boring politics one this week, which is
[38:46] Speaker 3: I reckon the government's going to start you turning pretty
[38:49] Speaker 3: hard on its budget and on migration policy. They're worried
[38:52] Speaker 3: about one nation. They don't know how to deal with it.
[38:55] Speaker 3: You saw Tony Burke on this network this morning basically
[38:58] Speaker 3: laying the groundwork saying they've stuffed up how an immigration.
[39:01] Speaker 3: Don't be surprised if you see more rumblings around that,
[39:03] Speaker 3: because immigration is the top issue at the moment.
[39:06] Speaker 1: All right, thanks guys, do appreciate it. Maddie John's live
[39:09] Speaker 1: in Washington.
[39:09] Speaker 4: D C.
[39:10] Speaker 1: Straight after the break. I can't wait for this UFC
[39:12] Speaker 1: at the White House. I love this man more in
[39:15] Speaker 1: a second, you know how much I love Maddie John's
[39:22] Speaker 1: Normally you'd see him, of course postgame after the Tigers
[39:25] Speaker 1: this weekend. But he's in Washington, DC. Why because tomorrow
[39:30] Speaker 1: UFC on the lawns of the White House. Maddie joins
[39:33] Speaker 1: us now from Washington, d C. He's just out the
[39:36] Speaker 1: front of the Treasury Building. Maddie, you're a boy from
[39:39] Speaker 1: Cessnock and you had the chance to be able to
[39:41] Speaker 1: go to be able to go to the White House.
[39:45] Speaker 1: Have we got Maddie there? Oh, hopefully all right, we'll
[39:49] Speaker 1: have to hold just do a little more fit and
[39:51] Speaker 1: fiddle here and hopefully we can reconnect. He was ready
[39:54] Speaker 1: to go, and thankfully he was the one listening and
[39:56] Speaker 1: not doing the talking, so no one's embarrassed there. But
[39:59] Speaker 1: all of this is going to be tomorrow late morning
[40:03] Speaker 1: in the afternoon on main events, So normally we can
[40:05] Speaker 1: go and get your pay per view events. You're able
[40:07] Speaker 1: to do that, and you're able to do that via
[40:09] Speaker 1: the main event channel. Where this thing is located, so
[40:12] Speaker 1: from the Pennsylvania Avenue sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue. That's, of
[40:17] Speaker 1: course where the fountain is. You see that side. That's
[40:20] Speaker 1: not where it is. Where is it from? It is
[40:23] Speaker 1: on the other side the gardens area. That's of course
[40:26] Speaker 1: where the helicopter lands each and every time. We'll get
[40:30] Speaker 1: to Mattie in a second, but in the meantime, let's
[40:31] Speaker 1: celebrate how they spend your money. We're about to well
[40:35] Speaker 1: go back to work and pay our taxes, and then
[40:38] Speaker 1: we pay for politicians and we pay for staffers to
[40:40] Speaker 1: do things like this. I'm gonna buy a nose and
[40:45] Speaker 1: let it ride in the forest set honorable.
[40:52] Speaker 2: Week.
[40:54] Speaker 1: Really, really, there's.
[40:56] Speaker 7: More labour's making the housing system. Look, mommy, you got
[41:06] Speaker 7: tweets labors making the housing system.
[41:09] Speaker 1: The God love them all right. The boyfriend Nick Knock,
[41:12] Speaker 1: he's in DC. He's been to the White House and
[41:15] Speaker 1: he joins us now, Maddie John's over to you, big fellow.
[41:17] Speaker 1: Are you looking forward to the UFC at the White House.
[41:24] Speaker 2: Very much?
[41:25] Speaker 9: Pauly, It's it's been been a great experience here all week.
[41:28] Speaker 9: It's I tell you, Paul, you know you've got a
[41:31] Speaker 9: sport here in the UFC that I reckon five six
[41:34] Speaker 9: years ago. We'll certainly a decade ago it was viewed
[41:37] Speaker 9: as a niche sport, an outlier, mate.
[41:40] Speaker 2: It is it is. It's a megasport over here. At
[41:43] Speaker 2: the moment. It's just get bigger and bigger. Evidence of
[41:45] Speaker 2: how big it is.
[41:46] Speaker 9: Like we we did a tour the other day with
[41:49] Speaker 9: Volk Alexander Volkanovski and we were going around and I
[41:53] Speaker 9: tell you what, as we know, he's a star in Australia.
[41:56] Speaker 9: Over here, mate, he is a megastar everywhere we went
[41:59] Speaker 9: and I'm talking and make groups of kids on excursions
[42:03] Speaker 9: just rushing up to him. And I said to one
[42:05] Speaker 9: of the kids. There was a girl, little girl, late
[42:07] Speaker 9: nine years old. I said, how do you know him?
[42:08] Speaker 9: And she said, I watched the UFC with my father.
[42:11] Speaker 9: And so you've got this way of the next generation
[42:13] Speaker 9: coming through and just some of the things they've put on.
[42:17] Speaker 2: You know, last night they had like a fan night
[42:20] Speaker 2: and they.
[42:21] Speaker 9: Had like eagles, American Eagles just you know, you know,
[42:25] Speaker 9: flying over the crowd.
[42:26] Speaker 2: It's they know how to put on an event.
[42:29] Speaker 1: It's that thing, isn't it where I mean, it's something
[42:31] Speaker 1: that you love being around us an Aussie. It's not
[42:34] Speaker 1: the way we do things, but I love everything's turned
[42:36] Speaker 1: up to eleven Trump's birthday, the big weekend. It's all red,
[42:40] Speaker 1: white and blue. The Rah rah is amazing. But give
[42:43] Speaker 1: me an idea, as a man who has lived an
[42:46] Speaker 1: incredible life, how humbling was it to see that White
[42:49] Speaker 1: House and go, yep, this is this is where I
[42:52] Speaker 1: stand today.
[42:57] Speaker 9: Well, Pauly as you know, I mean, you've been in
[42:59] Speaker 9: the White House, you know, we were on the lawn
[43:01] Speaker 9: of it, you know, But it was it's a surreal
[43:04] Speaker 9: experience and like you said, everything over here they died
[43:08] Speaker 9: up to eleven. They're amazingly patriotic. You know, we can
[43:13] Speaker 9: learn a little bit something from the Americans of what's
[43:15] Speaker 9: going on in our country at the moment. But it's interesting, Paul,
[43:19] Speaker 9: because you know, there's I expected when I get here
[43:21] Speaker 9: there'd be a fair bit of politics involved. I mean,
[43:23] Speaker 9: it's on the lawn of the White House. Some people
[43:25] Speaker 9: weren't in favor of it.
[43:26] Speaker 2: I think they.
[43:28] Speaker 9: They looked to Sue, Dana White all that sort of stuff.
[43:32] Speaker 9: But it hasn't been like that. Everyone's sort of celebrating it.
[43:35] Speaker 9: We had the fand the other day the only thing.
[43:37] Speaker 9: I was cornered by a bloke from the New York Times,
[43:39] Speaker 9: of all places, and I said, this is an interesting
[43:41] Speaker 9: New York Times and SES's not coming together.
[43:43] Speaker 2: And he said to me, what do you think about this?
[43:46] Speaker 9: Do you think it's a little do you think it's
[43:47] Speaker 9: a little grotesque on the White House? As I said
[43:51] Speaker 9: to him, I said, listen, mate, you know I don't
[43:53] Speaker 9: get into politics at home. I said, it ain't my country,
[43:55] Speaker 9: it ain't my president. I'm just see to have a
[43:57] Speaker 9: good time and get on the drink.
[44:00] Speaker 2: You know.
[44:00] Speaker 1: One hundred percent. But also this, I mean, yes, okay, yes,
[44:03] Speaker 1: it's Trump all there is but red, white, and blue.
[44:05] Speaker 1: Nobody owns that, not the left, not the right, not
[44:06] Speaker 1: the Dems, not the Republicans. The whole point of it
[44:08] Speaker 1: is two fifty. Of course, that's up in the next
[44:11] Speaker 1: couple of weeks. But give us an idea about the card.
[44:14] Speaker 1: Obviously people can see it all on main event and
[44:17] Speaker 1: order that there. You can also see it through Ko
[44:19] Speaker 1: who's going to be going bang bang. Yes, well let's
[44:26] Speaker 1: see what the main event is going to be something special.
[44:30] Speaker 1: You got Justin Gaichie, who's you know, he's just one
[44:32] Speaker 1: of the great entertainers made. He's really rough and time
[44:35] Speaker 1: Will gets on the offensive against.
[44:36] Speaker 9: Elia who he's George, and well he's a Spaniard parents Georgia.
[44:42] Speaker 9: Now from that area there where they're just wrestling is
[44:45] Speaker 9: their national sport, and they're going up against it. He's
[44:49] Speaker 9: going to be a great fight. We're actually justin Goichie.
[44:51] Speaker 9: He he's from a long light of coal miners. His
[44:54] Speaker 9: dad's a coal miner, so we had that in common.
[44:56] Speaker 9: And he said, I said, oh yeah, you tell me
[44:58] Speaker 9: about the old man. And he said, I made he
[45:00] Speaker 9: loves a drink, and I said, well, it sounds like
[45:02] Speaker 9: he's exactly my blow. So we caught up with him
[45:05] Speaker 9: yesterday and me and him we had a drinking competition
[45:08] Speaker 9: and ended up after a couple of hours.
[45:11] Speaker 2: It was a ended up a draw, so we squared
[45:14] Speaker 2: off correct correct.
[45:16] Speaker 1: No thirteenth round required, none at all. You're so right
[45:19] Speaker 1: as well about the growth of UFC. The fact that,
[45:22] Speaker 1: again was sort of off to one side. It was
[45:24] Speaker 1: one of these things that he was making a whole
[45:26] Speaker 1: bunch of money for TV. But the fact that it
[45:29] Speaker 1: is is at the heart of the culture. And it's
[45:31] Speaker 1: not just the trump of it. It is of course
[45:33] Speaker 1: the Elon Muskets, the kid Rock, it's the social media
[45:37] Speaker 1: around all of it. And it is a certain type
[45:39] Speaker 1: of America. And again, as the guy who does the politics,
[45:43] Speaker 1: I get it. There are some parts of America that
[45:45] Speaker 1: want to be a bit more like Europe, and there's
[45:47] Speaker 1: parts of America that want to be like the nineteen
[45:49] Speaker 1: eighties and a little more sort of whole koguiney. But
[45:52] Speaker 1: the whole point is is that this is a sport
[45:54] Speaker 1: where there's nowhere to hide. There's nowhere to hide the
[45:57] Speaker 1: nature of the cage means there's no where high. It's
[46:00] Speaker 1: not like you can in boxing go up against the
[46:03] Speaker 1: ropes and the riff's going to get in between you
[46:05] Speaker 1: if you cuddle up too much.
[46:06] Speaker 9: It is all brawl all the time. Yeah, well that's
[46:13] Speaker 9: it to look Poorly. I've always grown up. I've always
[46:16] Speaker 9: been a huge boxing fan. But there's people are starting
[46:19] Speaker 9: to get a little disenchanted with boxing. I mean some
[46:22] Speaker 9: of the decisions. You know, the people fighters being robbed,
[46:26] Speaker 9: you know, people going mate, how they come to that conclusion.
[46:29] Speaker 9: People suspecting a bit of corruption there or whatever this
[46:32] Speaker 9: sport is. It's pretty simple. You know, you get in
[46:35] Speaker 9: there and they just tear in and you're in. You've
[46:38] Speaker 9: got no you're in no doubt who.
[46:40] Speaker 2: The winner is. And so yeah, it's it's an amazing growth.
[46:44] Speaker 9: They've got a pop up store here Poorly right, and
[46:47] Speaker 9: again evidence of how big this is. There's a pop
[46:49] Speaker 9: up store and the joint is absolutely heaving. There's like,
[46:54] Speaker 9: I think there's thirty tools there and they lined up
[46:57] Speaker 9: to get outside the door. It's just a money making machine.
[47:00] Speaker 1: It is awesome to see. Thank you so much, Maddie,
[47:02] Speaker 1: all the best, mate, enjoy the fights. We'll see it
[47:04] Speaker 1: all of course on KO and Foxtel tomorrow on the
[47:07] Speaker 1: main event channels. You can order it up. What are
[47:09] Speaker 1: you pointing out? What's going on over there?
[47:14] Speaker 2: I'm just looking what we are.
[47:16] Speaker 9: We're near your favorite bar, Ebbittts there, Yes, And I
[47:21] Speaker 9: know it's your favorite bar because my producer said, the
[47:24] Speaker 9: poorly li likes to go there smoke a cigar and
[47:27] Speaker 9: need us say simultaneously, So.
[47:31] Speaker 2: Just right here, I've going to test it out later,
[47:33] Speaker 2: go do it for me.
[47:34] Speaker 1: Send the photos. Love you brother, all the best. Maddie
[47:36] Speaker 1: John's God love him. How good is it? You can
[47:38] Speaker 1: normally see him on Fox Sports. Great to see him
[47:40] Speaker 1: here on Sky News and you of course see it
[47:42] Speaker 1: all on Main Event. It is on KO, it is
[47:44] Speaker 1: on Foxtell it starts tomorrow the UFC from the freaking
[47:47] Speaker 1: White House more in a sec year before we're done,
[47:50] Speaker 1: looking forward to the news at the top of the
[47:51] Speaker 1: hour too. All right, one more thing about the UFC mat.
[47:59] Speaker 1: You just told us off here that because of the
[48:01] Speaker 1: weather and there's a chance of from thunderstorms, and that
[48:03] Speaker 1: obviously plays a little bit to have it with an
[48:05] Speaker 1: outdoor event. There's a chance of what he is supposed
[48:07] Speaker 1: to start at ten am Sydney time tomorrow is going
[48:11] Speaker 1: to be starting maybe an hour earlier, so be prepared
[48:14] Speaker 1: to be up that a little bit earlier. Keep an
[48:15] Speaker 1: eye on things. But again you can get all of
[48:17] Speaker 1: that through the KO website or through the box and
[48:20] Speaker 1: go over to the main event channels and you can
[48:22] Speaker 1: order there full results, coverage, all the rest of it
[48:25] Speaker 1: all day and it's sky News dot com dot Au.
[48:27] Speaker 1: A reminder, we are on our way to the Northern Territory.
[48:30] Speaker 1: I love every chance I get to be in the NT.
[48:32] Speaker 1: We're going to wear your suburb on the edges of Darwin, Berma.
[48:35] Speaker 1: If you'd like to join us for our town a
[48:37] Speaker 1: couple of weeks time Sunday, the twenty eighth of June,
[48:40] Speaker 1: So go up for the supercars, stick around for a week,
[48:43] Speaker 1: then hang out for crack a night on the first. Okay,
[48:47] Speaker 1: all lines go to the Northern Territory. Ourtown. It's sky
[48:50] Speaker 1: News dot com that are you ourtown at skyews dot
[48:53] Speaker 1: com dot Au. Also, just digging through even more of
[48:56] Speaker 1: these numbers here when it comes to one nation by
[49:00] Speaker 1: state breakdown is particularly fascinating. Victoria is one of the
[49:04] Speaker 1: most popular places for one Nation. Now we know that
[49:08] Speaker 1: that's the case when it comes to the donations for
[49:10] Speaker 1: fire liar. We also know when it comes to the
[49:13] Speaker 1: Victorian state election. But remember there's no leader currently for
[49:16] Speaker 1: the Victorian state election, so we'll talk about Victoria on
