[2:56] Speaker 3: on the outskirts of a certain college towns Lippton. On
[3:00] Speaker 3: a large flack sedan moving slowly, came to.
[3:03] Speaker 2: A full stop. I'm a driver, spoke to a farmer
[3:07] Speaker 2: beside the road.
[3:09] Speaker 5: Hey, I wonder if you can tell me that house
[3:12] Speaker 5: up on the hill there for rent. Oh no, that's
[3:15] Speaker 5: the professor, Oh, Professor hol Horn. Professor Horn, he teaches
[3:21] Speaker 5: the college. Heer.
[3:22] Speaker 7: No, everybody says he's a genius.
[3:25] Speaker 5: Nice, big articles for scientific papers.
[3:27] Speaker 2: And bender too. How long has he live there?
[3:30] Speaker 7: Oh about five years? Nice fellow.
[3:33] Speaker 5: When he comes to town, nice smile. Folks like him,
[3:37] Speaker 5: You have many visitors, don't seem to like visited, mister.
[3:42] Speaker 5: That a lady housekeeper though, ah see a nice person.
[3:46] Speaker 5: Oh you can take her leaver about fifty only good,
[3:51] Speaker 5: I guess, But homely old.

[4:05] Speaker 2: I might?
[4:06] Speaker 5: Thanks for the information. Goodbye.
[4:25] Speaker 8: So there's a horn. Where do you want these books
[4:28] Speaker 8: to go?
[4:28] Speaker 2: The left?
[4:29] Speaker 5: Handshells and I are next to the books on nuclear fissions.
[4:34] Speaker 8: Say, I'd be glad to see a plain, ordinary novel.
[4:36] Speaker 5: And this library is the one, my dear, the only
[4:39] Speaker 5: books worth reading of scientific spectual work.
[4:44] Speaker 9: The Anatomy of Toxicology, treats on molecular growth.
[4:48] Speaker 8: In the case, what's this.
[4:50] Speaker 5: One, my scientific daddy, I'll put that one away in.
[4:55] Speaker 8: That closet you never wanted me to look in, or
[4:58] Speaker 8: you should let me do that. The lame leg gets
[5:00] Speaker 8: tired so easy.
[5:01] Speaker 2: You know.
[5:02] Speaker 6: I never want my leg mentioned, Dana.
[5:04] Speaker 9: And I never could understand why you won't let me
[5:06] Speaker 9: go down cellar and see some of your inventions.
[5:09] Speaker 7: I have a lifelong principle, Anna, better to.
[5:14] Speaker 5: Anticipate than to regret. Meanwhile, it proves bad in mind
[5:18] Speaker 5: that I tell you well, and this does not include
[5:21] Speaker 5: your asking questions.
[5:25] Speaker 8: Somebody is at the door. There's a black sedan in
[5:31] Speaker 8: a driveway.
[5:31] Speaker 5: Bro see who it is, but don't bring anyone in
[5:33] Speaker 5: unless absolutely necessary.
[5:35] Speaker 7: I want Professor close that door.
[5:37] Speaker 5: And of course, yes, I'd like to see Professor horns.
[5:51] Speaker 2: He's busy my credentials.
[5:55] Speaker 9: There's the camera in the United States counter of style
[6:00] Speaker 9: its way, mister Cameron, thank you. But there's a horn,
[6:11] Speaker 9: mister Cameron of the counter size.
[6:14] Speaker 5: Thank you, Adam. That will be all, mister Cameron. I
[6:20] Speaker 5: live on an arm squab schedule. I should now be
[6:23] Speaker 5: in my laboratory downstairs, harded work.
[6:26] Speaker 7: I'd trussed you kended brief two.
[6:29] Speaker 5: Nights ago at eleven o seven pm in Amberville, forty
[6:34] Speaker 5: two miles south of here. The Farmer's Exchange bank was
[6:38] Speaker 5: robbed of one hundred and twenty one thousand dollars in cash.
[6:43] Speaker 5: The robber used a very ingenious electronic methods of silencing
[6:47] Speaker 5: the vault alarm system. However, the car used by the
[6:51] Speaker 5: robber went through a puddle of oil and left certain
[6:54] Speaker 5: fire franks.
[6:57] Speaker 2: Am I being brief enough? No?
[7:00] Speaker 7: But continue.
[7:01] Speaker 5: Every garage within fifty miles of Amberville has been checked
[7:05] Speaker 5: for a car with those treads. The car in your garage.
[7:09] Speaker 7: Has those tire treads. That's a coincidence, mister Cameron. That's
[7:15] Speaker 7: no coincidence, Professor Horn, I'm.
[7:19] Speaker 5: Placing you under arrest on suspicion of robbing the Amberville bank.
[7:22] Speaker 2: Now this is upsetting, mister Cameron.
[7:24] Speaker 5: Leave it rawer along. Put your hands in the air.
[7:28] Speaker 5: I said, put your hands in the air.
[7:32] Speaker 2: Uh as you say, I heard it?
[7:44] Speaker 8: Stop what happened? Oh? I see? How's you shooting? There's
[7:51] Speaker 8: no gun in your hands.
[7:53] Speaker 5: Professor, see under my codema, my invention, small flat handed
[7:58] Speaker 5: gun steps alongside my chest and the wire up through
[8:02] Speaker 5: your sleeve when I raise my hands by the gun. Now,
[8:05] Speaker 5: no more questions. We're leaving an I help me unpack
[8:08] Speaker 5: the closet.
[8:10] Speaker 8: Last all, see what you keep in there, money, tack money.
[8:22] Speaker 2: You will pack this money into those two suitcases.
[8:24] Speaker 9: And all right, how about these two small packages.
[8:28] Speaker 5: I don't touch them. I'm never going to be captured alive.
[8:31] Speaker 2: Anna.
[8:32] Speaker 5: There's enough explosive in this package to kill me and
[8:34] Speaker 5: anyone else around. And this is a bottle of Adriolic
[8:39] Speaker 5: powder to throw into police officer spaces in close quarters.
[8:42] Speaker 2: It burns rightfully.
[8:44] Speaker 8: I hope you'll never have to use.
[8:45] Speaker 2: As I told you, it is better to anticipate than
[8:48] Speaker 2: to regret. You. You will pack this too, Hannah.
[8:55] Speaker 8: All right to sess a horn. You've been wearing a Wii.
[8:59] Speaker 5: Some fools wait until they're escaping to disguise themselves. I've
[9:03] Speaker 5: been disguising myself for ten years. Now I return to
[9:07] Speaker 5: what I really look like. He looks ten years younger
[9:11] Speaker 5: without that week. And one thing more, this build up
[9:14] Speaker 5: shoe which has made it appear that I limp.
[9:20] Speaker 2: Two good legs.
[9:22] Speaker 8: So you haven't been laying the.
[9:24] Speaker 5: Tour as a horn has now disappeared off the face
[9:28] Speaker 5: of the earth. No one, Anna, you will call me
[9:30] Speaker 5: mister Harris.
[9:32] Speaker 2: Now let us get out of the baking.
[9:33] Speaker 8: What about the body of that man on the floor.
[9:36] Speaker 5: I have everything planned, Anna, beautifully planned. The three of
[9:41] Speaker 5: us are leaving together.
[9:58] Speaker 2: We've been driving some time.
[9:59] Speaker 7: Ana, you're getting hungry.
[10:01] Speaker 8: He needs to get and he needs to have.
[10:06] Speaker 2: Here. I have some candy bars in my pocket.
[10:08] Speaker 8: Take one, thank you. There. Do you know where this
[10:12] Speaker 8: side road goes?
[10:14] Speaker 2: Yes?
[10:14] Speaker 7: To the most deserted portion of the space.
[10:18] Speaker 8: Even so, Cameron's body may be found over there in
[10:21] Speaker 8: the bar.
[10:22] Speaker 2: Not for weeks.
[10:23] Speaker 7: If they're.
[10:25] Speaker 2: The car space, I'll get a little bit as soon
[10:28] Speaker 2: as I've.
[10:28] Speaker 5: Hid my money, in securities and these fills against the future.
[10:32] Speaker 8: What will we live on? Meanwhile?
[10:36] Speaker 2: And I can get all the money I want anytime.
[10:39] Speaker 5: You forget my constant studies of crime techniques and scientific methods,
[10:44] Speaker 5: even of murder by accidents, by weapons, and.
[10:48] Speaker 2: By poison. Wasn't the candy bar going there?
[10:55] Speaker 4: Huh?
[10:56] Speaker 5: I can't see you, of course, you're the only person
[11:07] Speaker 5: in the world who knows what I read.
[11:09] Speaker 7: It looked like, How could you expect to go on living?
[11:31] Speaker 4: To David Hardy, United States counters by Washington from Edwards
[11:38] Speaker 4: and Chicago Field Office countered by eld Cameron vanished while
[11:43] Speaker 4: investigating Amberville.
[11:45] Speaker 2: Thank Robberish local farmer reports.
[11:48] Speaker 4: Talking with Cameron about a Professor Emery Horn of Lipton, Illinois,
[11:55] Speaker 4: or an house king blood spots on library floors, or
[12:00] Speaker 4: housekeeper and a table and car have all so famished.
[12:05] Speaker 2: Ad fot.
[12:09] Speaker 5: Icaugo from Harding Peters and I are flying to join
[12:12] Speaker 5: you at Professor Horn's house. Immediately allow nothing to be disturbed.
[12:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, one of the strangest houses I've ever been in.
[12:30] Speaker 5: Yes, And people in the town they had horntedness Harding.
[12:34] Speaker 5: It is Edward with the invisible presence of a fantastically
[12:38] Speaker 5: clever man in the entire house, not one fingerprint.
[12:42] Speaker 7: Except for the woman.
[12:43] Speaker 5: Several trades people in the town say Horn always wore gloves.
[12:47] Speaker 5: Only Horn spread the story that he once burned his
[12:50] Speaker 5: hands very badly in an experiment.
[12:52] Speaker 2: It might be true, Peters again, it might not be so.
[12:55] Speaker 2: His laboratory in the cellon.
[12:57] Speaker 7: Yes, and look at these.
[12:59] Speaker 10: Books, Mrhergy and Practical Applications, Calculus and the Theory of Relativity,
[13:09] Speaker 10: Works on Atomic energy, Chemistry, poison exposal.
[13:14] Speaker 5: It's an extraordinary man to absorb all that hands obviously extraordinary,
[13:18] Speaker 5: and a d is at covering up we know one
[13:21] Speaker 5: of our own men was murdered here, and there's not
[13:23] Speaker 5: a clue, not even one piece of handwriting. Well, this
[13:27] Speaker 5: man may strike again soon. Edward instruct every counterspight for you,
[13:31] Speaker 5: law but throughout the country to report immediately all crimes
[13:34] Speaker 5: committed for gain, except where the criminal is definitely known. Yes,
[13:39] Speaker 5: I'm leaving for a while. What are you up to
[13:41] Speaker 5: this Somewhere there's a clue to this man. I want
[13:45] Speaker 5: to flounder around a little by myself, see what I
[13:48] Speaker 5: can turn up. Doctor Connor's in one of the grocery
[13:57] Speaker 5: stores in town of Clerks told me that the eure
[14:00] Speaker 5: so Professor.
[14:00] Speaker 7: Horne wasn't feeling well and that let me.
[14:03] Speaker 11: Yes, mister Harthy, I did d Professor Horn a year
[14:06] Speaker 11: or so ago. Now this is the record of his
[14:09] Speaker 11: visit to Starney. Didn't pay you by tanks or text
[14:13] Speaker 11: uh cash to my nurse. Rick Cory wore great dose
[14:18] Speaker 11: skin gloves throughout his visit. Here did he mention having
[14:21] Speaker 11: burned his hands? Yes, but he never removed the gloves
[14:25] Speaker 11: in my presence? Huh did he limple walk normally? Frankly,
[14:30] Speaker 11: mister Harding, I didn't notice, but one thing may interest you.
[14:34] Speaker 11: I took some X rays of his stomach. He let
[14:37] Speaker 11: me show you. We free show all. It's important. These
[14:52] Speaker 11: small darker factors olten peptic uncers, a severe case of
[14:58] Speaker 11: time A one is one of those. Apparently, if I
[15:02] Speaker 11: am nerved, men, he gets you outward signs of the
[15:05] Speaker 11: emotions and all them making the biggest thing. They have
[15:08] Speaker 11: no emotion, actually they do, and their nervousness and emotions
[15:11] Speaker 11: seek other outfits. In this case peptic ousis course whatever
[15:15] Speaker 11: they high strung of theous conditions. Doctor, did you give
[15:20] Speaker 11: him a prescription? Yes, a special business powder compound, and
[15:25] Speaker 11: he tried them and they gave him relief. Do you
[15:28] Speaker 11: think he's cured and he's also yes, well, I would
[15:30] Speaker 11: doubt if I a must when doctor, he'll be buying
[15:33] Speaker 11: business owners more or less regularly. You might assume so much, honey,
[15:38] Speaker 11: doctor Connors, I'm very grateful to you. This is the
[15:40] Speaker 11: first clue of its cold blooded scientific killer we found.
[15:44] Speaker 11: The big question is where will he strike next?
[16:01] Speaker 7: Miss Florence turn these chemical orders.
[16:04] Speaker 8: To hand a hand of the local jamer Id and Lento.
[16:11] Speaker 7: But what is it?
[16:12] Speaker 2: What's the matter with all of you? Good day, everybody?
[16:17] Speaker 2: Why I stop working. Don't point those guns at us.
[16:22] Speaker 2: Are you the boss here? By yes?
[16:29] Speaker 5: I like your desk, Move away from it quickly. Yes,
[16:35] Speaker 5: listen everyone, I have only a few seconds. I've just
[16:38] Speaker 5: robbed the finance company office down the hall of one
[16:40] Speaker 5: hundred and thirty thousand dollars and there's a big commotion
[16:44] Speaker 5: on the ground floor.
[16:45] Speaker 2: Purse.
[16:46] Speaker 5: The police expect me to leave that way, but instead
[16:48] Speaker 5: I'm going to put my two guns.
[16:50] Speaker 2: On this desk.
[16:51] Speaker 5: Have them with this newspaper. Now get this. In a moment,
[16:56] Speaker 5: the police may come in here. If one of you
[16:58] Speaker 5: makes a false move, I shoot, and I am a
[17:01] Speaker 5: perfect shot. Does everybody understand now I have a camera here,
[17:07] Speaker 5: and I'm going to be taking your picture. Where's the text?
[17:11] Speaker 5: Anybody see anything of a stranger?
[17:12] Speaker 2: Hold up man?
[17:15] Speaker 12: Why?
[17:15] Speaker 2: Uh? No?
[17:17] Speaker 5: All of a sudden, speaker, did anyone here see anybody
[17:21] Speaker 5: who might.
[17:21] Speaker 7: Be a hold up man?
[17:24] Speaker 8: Wait?
[17:25] Speaker 2: Down? The hall was stuck us got away.
[17:26] Speaker 5: I hope you catch him, lieutenant, But just a moment,
[17:29] Speaker 5: I'm taking some pictures for ourselves convention.
[17:31] Speaker 7: Would you mind standing there just the second?
[17:33] Speaker 2: Please not be a fool.
[17:34] Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, keep a gun in your hands
[17:36] Speaker 6: hand a lot.
[17:38] Speaker 2: Thank you, lieutenant.
[17:40] Speaker 5: Anybody sees any suspicious stranger to the officers who posted
[17:44] Speaker 5: my yes, we said me. Well, okay, I owe you
[17:51] Speaker 5: all my thanks.
[17:53] Speaker 2: You behave very well.
[17:54] Speaker 8: Why don't you leave this alone?
[17:56] Speaker 5: Why, young lady, I couldn't think of it. Yeah, stand
[18:00] Speaker 5: over here with him. I want a photograph of you.
[18:06] Speaker 5: That's good. Yes, you are forty smile, can't you?
[18:13] Speaker 7: I care?
[18:14] Speaker 5: Oh, come now, come now, I want a picture of
[18:16] Speaker 5: that sincere honest face. So different from your employers.
[18:21] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[18:22] Speaker 5: I noticed the chemical ingredients in that container on the
[18:24] Speaker 5: shelves instead of penium to present a lixtum dichlorosulfate and
[18:29] Speaker 5: ticking of the boys and colloidal suspension and entirely ineffective combination.
[18:33] Speaker 5: My dear fellow, No, my dear, that smile. Now come, come, come,
[18:40] Speaker 5: a lovely girl like you can always smile.
[18:45] Speaker 2: That's it.

[18:52] Speaker 5: of that job. My guns are in my pocket. Remember
[18:57] Speaker 5: I have photographs of all of you. If anyone of
[19:00] Speaker 5: you who talks to the police, I'll come back and shoot.
[19:06] Speaker 5: Oh claim, good day.
[19:11] Speaker 7: And goodbye to you.
[19:13] Speaker 2: I didn't before we go back to counter spy.
[19:28] Speaker 5: Please listen PepsiCo up to that for you?
[19:35] Speaker 6: Why take less?
[19:35] Speaker 5: When peti said?
[19:37] Speaker 3: More and more among fellows and girls, among mothers and dads,
[19:40] Speaker 3: you hear that scene and sensible questions. Why take less
[19:43] Speaker 3: when Pepsi's best, no budget, no allowance ever had a
[19:47] Speaker 3: better friend and tangy sparkling pepsicola. Because one big, twelve
[19:51] Speaker 3: out pepsi bottle gives you two delicious drinks that's twice
[19:55] Speaker 3: as much tangy taste, twice as much delicious pepsi to
[19:58] Speaker 3: go just twice as far. That's why more and more
[20:01] Speaker 3: family says, why take less when Teesti's best. Yes, family
[20:06] Speaker 3: is like yours and mine. Family's all over America they're
[20:10] Speaker 3: all saying, why take less? When Pepsi's best pepsi.
[20:14] Speaker 6: Cola so delicious, and this bottle makes to drinks? It
[20:17] Speaker 6: is certainly for the purchaser who thinks.
[20:20] Speaker 5: Everybody's drinking Petsy doesn't compare it.
[20:23] Speaker 6: When the rest Thomas Mouras Thomas.
[20:27] Speaker 3: Today Tomorrow always get America's biggest coll the value take home.

[20:40] Speaker 3: pepsi at the stands. Say pepsi whenever you reach for refreshments.
[20:45] Speaker 3: Remember why take less when Pepsi's best? And now back
[20:51] Speaker 3: to Todder's five. David Harding and his assistants or in
[21:01] Speaker 3: the communications room of a tower Spyfield office in Chicago. David,
[21:06] Speaker 3: the support of that big robbery in Denver yesterday. I
[21:09] Speaker 3: have a hunch that was Professor horn.
[21:10] Speaker 5: Oi Peter's the cleverness of the planning a daring, that
[21:14] Speaker 5: camera gag, but no gloves and no limp No.
[21:17] Speaker 2: I can't accomfort that. And from a.
[21:19] Speaker 5: Description he must have been ten or fifteen years younger
[21:22] Speaker 5: than harn Yes, but it's the tricky method of committing
[21:24] Speaker 5: the crime that strikes me hardest. What's my moves? Well,
[21:28] Speaker 5: send out this new description of him to all police
[21:30] Speaker 5: and commisspirefield officers. Also a description to all gruggists in Colorado,

[23:23] Speaker 7: Edward should be near.

[23:41] Speaker 2: Oh, what is it?
[23:43] Speaker 14: A very pretty girl out of the crowd to meet him.

[23:54] Speaker 5: Denver in another hour. Yeah, I get it, thankfully.
[24:15] Speaker 2: Layout Horn and the girl under that bungalow there.

[24:40] Speaker 5: Peter, Peter, pull all agents back to set up to
[24:43] Speaker 5: see father from the house.
[24:45] Speaker 7: Mother seen me.
[24:46] Speaker 2: We have to work out a different plan of attack.
[24:48] Speaker 7: It's not a big.
[25:00] Speaker 2: Emory. You play beautify, Thank you, madam.
[25:05] Speaker 14: I saw you a a package from the good story.
[25:08] Speaker 2: You're not speaking, Oh no, they're not just business pas.
[25:14] Speaker 2: I help my stomach. Emory.
[25:17] Speaker 7: That's guil that I feel very happy with you. I'm glad.
[25:22] Speaker 14: Funny sometimes once you know why, you meet someone you
[25:26] Speaker 14: feel you've known all your life.
[25:29] Speaker 2: It's only been three days, guil down, I.
[25:31] Speaker 14: Feel though I know you all my love, and still
[25:35] Speaker 14: I don't know it's thing about you. Accept it.
[25:37] Speaker 7: I love you.
[25:39] Speaker 2: That's a very sweet guil them.
[25:41] Speaker 14: On the second thought, I do know something about you,
[25:45] Speaker 14: something to try to hunt from me.
[25:49] Speaker 2: And what is that? Guil there?
[25:54] Speaker 14: I guess you do it because you really think I'm.
[25:57] Speaker 2: Not very broad, Gilda.
[25:59] Speaker 14: What is it you're agreement the book shot about doing
[26:04] Speaker 14: wrottoons in the newspapers on the radio, and.
[26:12] Speaker 2: Compared to you, my dear, it is nothing emory.
[26:17] Speaker 14: There's something else.
[26:18] Speaker 2: I know You're not as I'm observing as I thought, Guilder.
[26:26] Speaker 14: I mean, I think you've almost asked him to know you.
[26:30] Speaker 14: An emmy if you do.
[26:32] Speaker 15: I m car crie into the lamp post right in
[26:43] Speaker 15: front of the house, and he's been thrown from no, no, no,
[26:47] Speaker 15: he was hit by the car. The cars racing away
[26:49] Speaker 15: down the street getting.
[26:50] Speaker 1: On driv it.
[26:51] Speaker 14: We got healthy A wait, we can't let him lie
[26:56] Speaker 14: there very well, I'll go with you. Oh, sadly taking
[27:07] Speaker 14: to him, bloody looking.
[27:10] Speaker 12: No, no, no, no, I'll good like you must never
[27:11] Speaker 12: move an injured person and had if they have a
[27:15] Speaker 12: closer love, unbroken, no God, all very stereo.
[27:27] Speaker 2: I had conclusions and abraid. Hm hmm, that's funny. I
[27:35] Speaker 2: can just see better than this lie.
[27:37] Speaker 4: What hard?
[27:38] Speaker 2: What right?
[27:47] Speaker 5: When I get the handcuff from it, I got David
[27:50] Speaker 5: while tell off my back.
[27:51] Speaker 2: Let me.
[27:54] Speaker 5: All right, young woman, United States colored Fires. You better
[27:58] Speaker 5: be glad this happened. In another week, you'd have been
[28:00] Speaker 5: as dead as an a cable, as man's housekeeper and
[28:02] Speaker 5: countess by age and Cameron.
[28:04] Speaker 11: I can't believe it.
[28:05] Speaker 2: You are right.
[28:06] Speaker 7: This is a violin him, and I'm betting it's explosives.
[28:10] Speaker 2: All right, Honting.
[28:12] Speaker 5: I don't know how you found me, but you'll never
[28:15] Speaker 5: keep me until you go to the death house. I'll
[28:17] Speaker 5: see that you're kept in the safe of penitentre in
[28:19] Speaker 5: the country horn.
[28:20] Speaker 7: Come on, get going.
[28:36] Speaker 3: When your friends drop in, Be generous, but be fristy too.
[28:40] Speaker 3: You're plenty of delicious PEPs Cola. Pepsi's Bee twelve ounce
[28:44] Speaker 3: bottle gives you not just one sparkling glassful.
[28:47] Speaker 2: But two.
[28:48] Speaker 3: Get a title of six and serve twelve delicious drinks. Yes,
[28:52] Speaker 3: pepsi is America's biggest solar value. You get twice the
[28:55] Speaker 3: tangy taste, twice the refreshments, twice the pepsi. I take
[29:00] Speaker 3: less when teesty is best. Whenever you reach for refreshments, remember.
[29:05] Speaker 6: Texty call us tasty spoon, cold glasses.
[29:08] Speaker 7: That's the lost plot for value.
[29:10] Speaker 6: Lots more desks. I take less when Testy's.
[29:12] Speaker 3: Tests une and every Tuesday and Thursday, same time, say
[29:16] Speaker 3: station to counter Spy. Listen on Thursday for the exciting
[29:20] Speaker 3: counter Spy case of the cold Blooded Professor.
[29:24] Speaker 2: That's right, well, we.
[29:25] Speaker 5: Never expected that Professor Horn would cause your counterspines many
[29:28] Speaker 5: more frandy gowers. Only Professor Horn would use prison pants
[29:33] Speaker 5: that had been washed in lemon juice, or create a
[29:36] Speaker 5: new appearance by feeling watch crystals and mixing them with flour,
[29:40] Speaker 5: water and wire, and escape from an escape proof penitentiary.
[29:46] Speaker 5: If you're to tune in on Thursday, day after tomorrow
[29:48] Speaker 5: for file.
[29:49] Speaker 3: Number two, Baste of the cold Blooded Professor on counter Spy.
[30:00] Speaker 3: The Night's Counter five program originated in New York and
[30:03] Speaker 3: feature Don McLachlan and Mandel Framer with music by Des Crawford.
[30:08] Speaker 3: Couderspy is a philip ate Lauryn production for Pepsicona enjoy
[30:12] Speaker 3: some pepsi I cold tonight.
[30:29] Speaker 1: Well some good stuff in here. In addition to the
[30:32] Speaker 1: name cast, I heard Maurice Trplin doing doubles, most notably
[30:39] Speaker 1: as the Faraday like police lieutenant pursuing Professor Horn. Professor
[30:47] Speaker 1: Horn himself, of course, played by Ralph Bell, who shows
[30:52] Speaker 1: some of his range here. He's often associated with sort
[30:57] Speaker 1: of underworld characters who make cup series like Boston Blackie,
[31:02] Speaker 1: but here played a far more elegant and refined menace.
[31:07] Speaker 1: Professor Horne is a very entertaining villain, though there's definitely
[31:12] Speaker 1: a theatrical tone to his antics. Although it reflects the
[31:17] Speaker 1: type of story that we're telling here with this big,
[31:20] Speaker 1: over the top crime story. Who's closer to a Batman
[31:25] Speaker 1: comic book villain than a dragnet radio villain. In real life,
[31:29] Speaker 1: a somewhat less clever but more cautious criminal would probably
[31:34] Speaker 1: have gotten further harding as usual rose to the occasion.
[31:39] Speaker 1: And I think if there is a real life, if
[31:43] Speaker 1: there's a principle that can be taken from this episode
[31:48] Speaker 1: and applied to real life, it's that it is very
[31:52] Speaker 1: hard to hide all distinguishing characteristics. There are small things
[31:59] Speaker 1: that lift you up even when you go to the
[32:02] Speaker 1: extremes that Professor Horn did. Imagine a guy who spent
[32:09] Speaker 1: ten years wearing a wig and probably causing himself severe
[32:14] Speaker 1: pain by walking with a fake lamp, and had sweaty
[32:21] Speaker 1: hands so much for that period, so he didn't spread
[32:26] Speaker 1: fingerprints all that, and he gets caught because he needs
[32:31] Speaker 1: some powders for his ulcer listener comments and feedback, and
[32:36] Speaker 1: we go to Spotify where random Spotify user comments for
[32:40] Speaker 1: the record, if I were to be an evil henchman,
[32:43] Speaker 1: I would only work for someone named Bryce Hondo. Well
[32:47] Speaker 1: that's a high standard, but if you're going to go
[32:50] Speaker 1: into the ioal henchman business, you've got to have them.
[32:54] Speaker 1: But then again, working with Bryce Hondo didn't turn out
[33:00] Speaker 1: all that too well for those who did, so that
[33:04] Speaker 1: might be an evaluate your life choices situation. Well, now
[33:08] Speaker 1: it's time to thank our Patreon supporter of the day,
