[1:44] Speaker 4: the enemy is not countries.
[1:46] Speaker 2: Both at home and abron the night.
[1:53] Speaker 3: More in the case of the cold Blooded Professor, another
[1:56] Speaker 3: Counterspy report to the American people, brought to you we
[2:00] Speaker 3: Tuesday and Thursday by Pepsicola.
[2:02] Speaker 2: Pepsicola hit the spot.
[2:04] Speaker 5: Two glasses, that's the lot.
[2:06] Speaker 3: That's right. You heard what they said. Two full glasses
[2:09] Speaker 3: of sparkling pepsi from one big twelve ounce bottle. You're
[2:12] Speaker 3: getting an extra glass full. I want a delicious glass fall,
[2:16] Speaker 3: the most refreshing, delightful cola that ever tickled your taste.
[2:20] Speaker 3: You can't top Pepsi's singing flavor. And that big, big
[2:23] Speaker 3: bottle saves your money goes twice as far. Pepsi's America
[2:27] Speaker 3: is big, big favorite and America's biggest tola value. So
[2:32] Speaker 3: why take less when pepsi is best? Whenever you reach
[2:35] Speaker 3: for refreshments, remember.
[2:38] Speaker 5: Why take class when Pepsi's best?
[2:41] Speaker 3: And now to Counterspies, it is doubtful if as many
[2:50] Speaker 3: warning flashes ever went out about any criminal as were
[2:53] Speaker 3: flashed by the United States counter spies concerning one Professor
[2:57] Speaker 3: Emery Horn.
[3:00] Speaker 2: Professor Emery Horn and a mastermind of crime.
[3:03] Speaker 3: He is a constant thing to all.
[3:08] Speaker 5: Professor Horn murdered a Counterspy agent with a special flat
[3:12] Speaker 5: handled gun strapped to his kids. He poisoned his housekeeper
[3:17] Speaker 5: with poisoning candidates. Finally captured by the counter fight, Horn
[3:21] Speaker 5: arrogantly described these methods of murder, and the.
[3:24] Speaker 3: Tail cribed and sentenced to death. Professor Horn was held
[3:30] Speaker 3: them a safest sentitentiary in the country, pending his execution.
[3:35] Speaker 3: A few months ago, Professor Horn consulted the prison doctor
[3:38] Speaker 3: about his badly infected upper list.
[3:44] Speaker 6: You're quite a character, Horn, While addressing me, doctor kindly
[3:50] Speaker 6: used my title low chord, Professor Horn, only who made
[3:56] Speaker 6: you a professor? The only person in the world who's
[3:59] Speaker 6: qualified myself?
[4:04] Speaker 2: All armed guards. I'm still.
[4:06] Speaker 7: We're in the prison walls, within the prison wall, doctor alight,
[4:12] Speaker 7: Hold still now.
[4:16] Speaker 3: I don't understand why your rupper lip isn't healing.
[4:19] Speaker 2: This is a bad infection.
[4:21] Speaker 6: I believe the like of healing is due to hyperprotonemia
[4:25] Speaker 6: because the food is lacking simon hydrochloride and near cinemid. No,
[4:30] Speaker 6: really think you no medicine? Don't you pardon me if
[4:32] Speaker 6: I speak medically over your head?
[4:34] Speaker 2: Doctor? But then ignorance always irritates me.
[4:38] Speaker 6: Ah, there's hair around the infection, Hor.
[4:44] Speaker 2: I have to cover your whole upper lip with adhesive. Again,
[4:47] Speaker 2: how long were you a horse? Doctor?
[4:51] Speaker 7: I'm sorry, I'm sorry if I really.
[4:56] Speaker 2: Hey, here you made fix attempt to escape.
[4:59] Speaker 7: In two months, horn, the professor Horn, Now news does travel.
[5:06] Speaker 7: That's only ten days more. You're transferred to the death house.
[5:10] Speaker 7: You have a morbid mind, haven't you. No, No, I
[5:14] Speaker 7: was only going to tell you that, ironic as it
[5:17] Speaker 7: may be, those ulcers you had for so long are cured.
[5:22] Speaker 6: You're not doing of yours, doctor, I'm sure, okay, get going,
[5:28] Speaker 6: professor out that way?
[5:42] Speaker 2: Bug uh.
[5:47] Speaker 8: And you awake these SuDS and mattresses they fired it down,
[5:52] Speaker 8: you know well, foot bugs.
[5:54] Speaker 6: The stella is getting on my notes too, You hungry bugs.
[6:00] Speaker 6: Here's a sugar cookie I took from the mask.
[6:04] Speaker 8: You could steal the nose off the water right while
[6:07] Speaker 8: he was looking here it is things.
[6:11] Speaker 2: And put the crumbs in your pocket?
[6:14] Speaker 8: Or whis I go putting cookie crumbs in my pocket?
[6:18] Speaker 6: You figure that one out, and I wouldn't have had
[6:20] Speaker 6: to plan your escape for you. Who's escape? Both of them?
[6:26] Speaker 6: You one way ie another? And you've noticed I've been
[6:31] Speaker 6: bringing back little pieces.
[6:32] Speaker 2: Of lemons in the main dining hall. That's when I
[6:35] Speaker 2: knew you would nuts in my mattress.
[6:38] Speaker 6: I have an extra pair of prison pants lemons contain
[6:42] Speaker 6: a setic acid and a setic acid bleachers. I've been
[6:46] Speaker 6: bleinking those pants with lemon jews, and now they're as
[6:49] Speaker 6: white as any dut pants.
[6:51] Speaker 8: Sometimes I think you witch hey when you pinched them glasses.
[6:58] Speaker 6: Their horn rimmed spectacle. Have you ever seen a little
[7:01] Speaker 6: piece of wire lying around the recreation yard the shoe, Well,
[7:05] Speaker 6: there are lots of little pieces like those, and I've
[7:07] Speaker 6: been collecting them, winding them together and bending them into
[7:10] Speaker 6: these eye frames and ear pieces.
[7:12] Speaker 2: The next step was.
[7:13] Speaker 6: To unravel threads in the bottom of each trousers and
[7:16] Speaker 6: wrap them around the strands of wire to thicken them.
[7:19] Speaker 2: It's just right.
[7:20] Speaker 6: And then I had to give the strands a smooth
[7:23] Speaker 6: surface taste of flour and water.
[7:26] Speaker 2: Didn't then, But when.
[7:28] Speaker 9: You get the glass in plastic crystals stolen from the
[7:34] Speaker 9: wrist watches of other prisoners, and with my new mustache.
[7:40] Speaker 8: And will the minute you ain't got no mustace.
[7:45] Speaker 2: What do you think is under this adhesive tape on
[7:46] Speaker 2: my upper lip? He said?
[7:50] Speaker 6: He scratched to this I did on purpose with a
[7:55] Speaker 6: dirty tin to make sure the infection continued. My excuse
[7:59] Speaker 6: to keep the tes iran and all the time, we'll
[8:03] Speaker 6: grow in the mustache. Okay, so now you've got white
[8:10] Speaker 6: pins their respects of mustache. But why good will let
[8:15] Speaker 6: trouble just to bust out over the wall? Bugs, I've
[8:19] Speaker 6: ever noticed in the corner of our recreation room there's
[8:22] Speaker 6: a pile of old building plans, blueprints of model houses,
[8:26] Speaker 6: things like that.
[8:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, at the.
[8:29] Speaker 6: Right moment, I'll suddenly become a building contractor inspecting the building.
[8:35] Speaker 6: Now walk right out the freedom and the execution of
[8:39] Speaker 6: a plan I have in mind.
[8:41] Speaker 2: Oh, the smoke process. You sure sure having trouble. Bugs. Thanks,
[8:55] Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm biased. Bugs, you're dying that cookie with poison.
[9:04] Speaker 2: Help help me. I don't want to.
[9:07] Speaker 6: I can't anymore that poison I made scraps of garbage.
[9:11] Speaker 6: But the tooth fresh handle himself a too strong and
[9:13] Speaker 6: quick by.
[9:16] Speaker 2: That shoo me.
[9:17] Speaker 6: Oh no, no, the PBS I made you put in
[9:20] Speaker 6: your pocket. They'll prove you stole the cookie yourself.
[9:23] Speaker 2: All right, you robbing.
[9:32] Speaker 6: God?
[9:35] Speaker 2: God, what did you hey? What with bugs? I'm afraid
[9:47] Speaker 2: it's my fault. God, you killed him.
[9:51] Speaker 6: They confessed to me about a murder he'd committed. The
[9:53] Speaker 6: police never knew about.
[9:55] Speaker 2: He was eating his cookie MT have poisoned. It must
[9:59] Speaker 2: have minute suicide right under my eyes.
[10:16] Speaker 10: Recreated, you'll get twenty minutes for recreation.
[10:24] Speaker 6: Listen when we come to the corner, I'm ducking out
[10:27] Speaker 6: into that landing room off the recreation halls. Cover my
[10:30] Speaker 6: place in line. If I won't miss me. I need
[10:32] Speaker 6: at least three and a half minutes.
[10:40] Speaker 2: A class. He's a tape off, that's not a blue
[10:56] Speaker 2: prints and into the hall. It's the out of the
[11:06] Speaker 2: freedom three minutes before I'm missed.
[11:13] Speaker 6: Oh god, hey, who are you and the architect's assistance
[11:18] Speaker 6: working on autorations to be made in this prison?
[11:20] Speaker 2: Yeah? I didn't hear nothing about no iterations.
[11:24] Speaker 6: How did you get into the proof by the entrance
[11:26] Speaker 6: on the other side with the rest of our staff?
[11:28] Speaker 6: Has this desk your seat and had always been located
[11:31] Speaker 6: at this spot? Yeah, twelve years now because I can
[11:37] Speaker 6: watch this inside gate, an automatic slide gate controlled from here. Now,
[11:42] Speaker 6: when the gates to be opened, I phone a main
[11:44] Speaker 6: gate room and they push a button and this gate
[11:47] Speaker 6: slides off. And will you demonstrate, please, my dear man,
[11:52] Speaker 6: I'm in a hurry. I've got to know how these
[11:54] Speaker 6: things work.
[11:55] Speaker 7: All right?
[11:59] Speaker 2: Ericson number two. Opener up some architecture. Yes, okay, how
[12:08] Speaker 2: she'll open unless you get fine? Thank you? Hey you
[12:17] Speaker 2: want to see your pose against ah? Yes, please lower
[12:25] Speaker 2: its cool motadland here. You can't just walk out of here.
[12:34] Speaker 6: I'm connected with the building contractor. You gotta sign out
[12:37] Speaker 6: with me, and I got to take it to the
[12:39] Speaker 6: main gate room. They take it to your signature. When
[12:41] Speaker 6: you sign it's all right. But the first you've got
[12:43] Speaker 6: to show me how this gate works for planning aderations.
[12:46] Speaker 6: We may have to move this platform.
[12:48] Speaker 2: It's instead on.
[12:50] Speaker 6: Oh well, the gate there is controlled by this button here,
[12:56] Speaker 6: but the interrogates control from the main gate room.
[12:58] Speaker 2: Why is this one easier? They see? Anybody gets bet
[13:01] Speaker 2: that Dad has a right to lead.
[13:03] Speaker 6: We may have to change that. I want to close
[13:05] Speaker 6: to look at the gate itself. Push the button now, please,
[13:14] Speaker 6: hik go.
[13:17] Speaker 11: Alry you're covering great. I know my work has all done.
[13:22] Speaker 11: You can close the gate. Okay, Honey.
[13:51] Speaker 12: Tell them Harry Peters. The honey is not in his
[13:53] Speaker 12: office here. I'll try all the departments, all.
[14:04] Speaker 2: Counters, fight departments, mister honey on the main floor.
[14:08] Speaker 3: Rush report for you, mister handing rush reports.
[14:19] Speaker 2: I thank all counters fine apartments. This is David Hardy.
[14:23] Speaker 5: I've gotta learned that Professor Emery Horn has made an
[14:26] Speaker 5: amazing escape.
[14:26] Speaker 3: From aw to land of penitentiary. All flights of him
[14:30] Speaker 3: has been lost.
[14:31] Speaker 2: All information having even a faint bearing on the professor.
[14:34] Speaker 6: Rush to me, top priority, Dave. I was sure we
[14:40] Speaker 6: had the Professor's told it away from good hands.
[14:42] Speaker 2: Fantastically clever Peter. Now he's loose again, a vicious killer.
[14:45] Speaker 6: All right, smells double during his trial, Peter, is the
[14:47] Speaker 6: amazing knowledge of legal treaks you passed on to his
[14:49] Speaker 6: defense lawyer. Almost safe from the chair. But we're going
[14:54] Speaker 6: to get him again. If it's the last case I
[14:56] Speaker 6: ever handled, I don't think I've ever seen us to land.
[14:58] Speaker 6: It is two state supers. A woman accomplished the counterspy agents,
[15:03] Speaker 6: probably a fellow convict. I'm never going to give up
[15:06] Speaker 6: on that man. We haven't got one lead on him.
[15:09] Speaker 6: Then we have to start back at the beginning. Now
[15:12] Speaker 6: we know that for some years Horn poses a scientists
[15:15] Speaker 6: and lived quietly in a small town in Illinois where
[15:17] Speaker 6: we killed the counterspy. But Dave, we find tooth Combe
[15:20] Speaker 6: that place at the time. This time we won't be
[15:22] Speaker 6: looking for a clue in the ordinary sense, Peters, but
[15:25] Speaker 6: some new clue to his character. We'll have to learn
[15:28] Speaker 6: about the man from that old house, back to Todder
[15:44] Speaker 6: spy and just a moment. But first tell us popo lasses,
[15:52] Speaker 6: that's a lot more value, a lot more.
[15:55] Speaker 2: Why take less when tempty best?
[15:57] Speaker 3: More and more among fellows and girls, among mothers and
[15:59] Speaker 3: dads hear that same and sensible question. Why take less
[16:03] Speaker 3: when Pepsi's bet, no budget, no allowance ever had a
[16:06] Speaker 3: better friend than tangy sparkling pepsicola, Because one big twelve
[16:10] Speaker 3: out Pepsi bottle gives you two delicious drinks that's twice
[16:14] Speaker 3: as much tangy taste, twice as much delicious Pepsi to
[16:18] Speaker 3: go just twice as far. That's why more and more
[16:21] Speaker 3: family say, why take less when Pepsi's bet Yes, family
[16:25] Speaker 3: is like yours and mine family's all over America, they're
[16:29] Speaker 3: all saying, why take less? When Pepsi's best.
[16:33] Speaker 4: Pepsicola pist taste terrific, when you're.
[16:36] Speaker 2: Hot, more and better than the rest?
[16:39] Speaker 6: Why take less?
[16:40] Speaker 3: When Petsi says today tomorrow always get America's biggest cola
[16:44] Speaker 3: value take home a tartan of six big big pepsi bottles.
[16:49] Speaker 3: Insists on pepsi at the store, and say pepsi at
[16:53] Speaker 3: the fountain, Stay pepsi at the sand, Say pepsi whenever
[16:58] Speaker 3: you reach for refreshment. Remember why take west wind And
[17:04] Speaker 3: now back to countras By and eerie, stormy nights at
[17:08] Speaker 3: the former hideout of Professor Horn in Illinois, Dave, this
[17:20] Speaker 3: old house is the best local for a murder I've
[17:23] Speaker 3: seen years.
[17:24] Speaker 6: It was the locale of a murder. The stain of
[17:28] Speaker 6: Agent Cameron's blood still in the country, and that's under
[17:34] Speaker 6: this musty, creepy old place. And he could spend the
[17:38] Speaker 6: nineties alone. I'll control your imagination. Let's pick the pack.
[17:42] Speaker 6: Gladly have begun to me. Well, I've been here in
[17:46] Speaker 6: the study looking through some of these scientific books Horn
[17:48] Speaker 6: left behind. Take with me and see if that makes sense.
[17:53] Speaker 6: A book on physics stresses and streams. And take this page.
[18:05] Speaker 6: M hmm. Little drawings sort of doodles in the margins,
[18:10] Speaker 6: scribbled probably while he was thinking over di guessing what
[18:13] Speaker 6: he was reading. Getchy little drawings content. I'm finished almost
[18:20] Speaker 6: as in landon now some one, almost every page see
[18:30] Speaker 6: I'll take another book at random, this one on bild chemistry.
[18:34] Speaker 6: I think eighth great about these books is and.
[18:41] Speaker 2: See this thing.
[18:44] Speaker 6: More drawings at the same time, there's two of a
[18:47] Speaker 6: dozen more of these volumes at least. So when Horn's
[18:50] Speaker 6: a doodler, a scientific doodlist, Dad, how can we use
[18:55] Speaker 6: the fact that it's the characteristic of Horns the doodle
[18:57] Speaker 6: and scientific books. Well, Horn has this scholarly side to him,
[19:01] Speaker 6: and I wouldn't you think that everywhere he goes he'd
[19:03] Speaker 6: want to consult scientific works? Where could he accept the
[19:06] Speaker 6: libraries exactly to be more exact scientific libraries? Right now, First,
[19:13] Speaker 6: we'll text through all these books. We may find various
[19:15] Speaker 6: definite types of duties that occur over and over, and
[19:17] Speaker 6: we'll make photostatic copies and send us step to every
[19:20] Speaker 6: library in the country. But Dave, this will mean asking
[19:24] Speaker 6: librarians to want on their leaders. Then I've trained for that. Well,
[19:26] Speaker 6: all library books are inspected, every so of them, Peters.
[19:30] Speaker 6: The only tiny cool we need may be hidden this
[19:33] Speaker 6: very moment in some library. If we only knew where,
[19:37] Speaker 6: and if we only knew where Horn is now, I.
[20:00] Speaker 2: I think, what's sir? Give me last okay for us.
[20:05] Speaker 6: Come on, h thank you stranger. He that's mighty lonely.
[20:11] Speaker 6: Not many cars coming through. I'm glad you came along,
[20:16] Speaker 6: especially since I see your just about my size. What
[20:23] Speaker 6: get out of the com Oh stick up? Okay, okay,
[20:32] Speaker 6: I guess very well about your size.
[20:34] Speaker 2: Mister.
[20:35] Speaker 6: Your suit will suit me very well. My suit really
[20:40] Speaker 6: took my money. I can always get money when I wanted.
[20:43] Speaker 2: Mister wants you an.
[20:45] Speaker 6: End Blake Jack Splacial Delivery Lake the Professional Football Plan.
[20:51] Speaker 6: What a pleasure to meet you, mister Blake. Take off
[20:54] Speaker 6: your suit please. Hey, what the next bullet won't go
[20:59] Speaker 6: in the ground, mister Blake, It'll go into you. Okay,
[21:03] Speaker 6: tough guys or dagget throwed in the car please. Now
[21:10] Speaker 6: the trousers I need to shoe too, please, mister Blake,
[21:16] Speaker 6: and of course your car. Hey.
[21:18] Speaker 2: Look, i'll die out in this desert and the sun. True.
[21:21] Speaker 6: We must be twenty miles in the water. No there, sport,
[21:23] Speaker 6: will there give me some kind of a chance.
[21:25] Speaker 2: A chance? Pretty well, mister Blake. We'll play a little
[21:30] Speaker 2: game of my invention. Just remain there beside the road. Lake.
[21:39] Speaker 6: Now, mister Blake, you start running. I'm going to try
[21:44] Speaker 6: to run you down with your own car. I don't
[21:48] Speaker 6: get you in one minute or less, you'll be perfectly free.
[21:52] Speaker 6: I can't out run an automobile, or you forget your
[21:55] Speaker 6: special delivery. Blake the best broken field runner in football.
[22:01] Speaker 6: Start running, mister Blake, any direction. I'll even give you
[22:06] Speaker 6: a little head Stop. God, God, now hear I come.
[22:24] Speaker 10: A mister Blake, Miss Joe, keep on running, No bad,
[22:37] Speaker 10: mister Blake. Only can't take its more and you'd still
[22:39] Speaker 10: be alive. But then I wouldn't have had your polls
[22:43] Speaker 10: and your car would I.
[23:00] Speaker 3: Feel a lot at San Francis, no tray.
[23:02] Speaker 6: He had a Professor Horn himself. But Scientific Library here
[23:05] Speaker 6: reports five technical about hims mock with characteristic marginal drawings
[23:08] Speaker 6: within past week.
[23:10] Speaker 2: Proctor Horn must be in the vicinity. No, this could
[23:25] Speaker 2: beat what we've got. The five books Horn used on
[23:29] Speaker 2: some eight visits to.
[23:30] Speaker 6: The Senate of the Sto Scientific Library, and the drawing
[23:33] Speaker 6: zoom sing same.
[23:35] Speaker 2: It may not be on them.
[23:37] Speaker 6: I think it is the characteristic career, a little going
[23:41] Speaker 6: to more definitely things as if he had a definite
[23:44] Speaker 6: plan the law you won't explode, Yeah, Stage two eighty
[23:53] Speaker 6: seven being with liquid explode the drawings with company and
[23:59] Speaker 6: bottles and a location thirty two ounces, I mean thirty
[24:03] Speaker 6: two ounds bottles.
[24:04] Speaker 13: Me, but why bottles?
[24:05] Speaker 6: No bottles are an innocent way of carrying liquid explosives either,
[24:09] Speaker 6: you know, a thankful print, but there are no books
[24:11] Speaker 6: here about both, or electronic predection devices. He here's a
[24:15] Speaker 6: book on the scientific preservation of works of odds painting.
[24:20] Speaker 6: Now I hadn't noted that when they're here's something they
[24:26] Speaker 6: well drawings on two different pages, pages where the locations
[24:32] Speaker 6: of famous paintings are lifted unusual interest for home by
[24:41] Speaker 6: Jorge What little drawings that might represent explosions? And look
[24:46] Speaker 6: what they are?
[24:47] Speaker 8: Right?
[24:47] Speaker 13: Mix of a.
[24:48] Speaker 6: Listing of four different paintings for ten tenpence. Sell those home.
[24:51] Speaker 6: We're planning to steal and preserve them in good conditions
[24:54] Speaker 6: scientifically and sell luminated in secrets, because thirty paintings are
[24:57] Speaker 6: in short for two hundred and fifty thousand dollars each,
[25:00] Speaker 6: and the want of them would be a good haul.
[25:02] Speaker 6: I'm not seeing these teams. They're kept in both they
[25:04] Speaker 6: might be, and that's where they look what explosive did
[25:07] Speaker 6: come him? No doubt they are watchmen to be taken
[25:10] Speaker 6: care of.
[25:11] Speaker 2: Exposures might serve two purposes.
[25:13] Speaker 6: There, kill the watchman and blow up in the vault. Yes,
[25:16] Speaker 6: I want to take quote bottles to carry the stuff in. Anyway,
[25:21] Speaker 6: we'll check these museums about their storage vaults if we can't.
[25:25] Speaker 2: Narrow the field. There's too many themes only one. There
[25:40] Speaker 2: aren't workings and faults in the basement.
[25:42] Speaker 3: They have a propecial watchmen as the line and churches.
[25:46] Speaker 6: Okay, and that's for the watchman, Peter, that's your special assignment.
[26:12] Speaker 2: Oh oh, but that's it.
[26:15] Speaker 6: You'll be my watchmen here at the arfever answer, I've
[26:20] Speaker 6: been sitting married on the shadow, you see, dressing it
[26:23] Speaker 6: in a bit of a risk walking forward an only job.
[26:27] Speaker 6: It is the museum being asked by itselfish way. I'm
[26:31] Speaker 6: creepy too. It's a cemetery under beside the church offer.
[26:36] Speaker 6: I happen to have a couple of bottles of wine
[26:39] Speaker 6: here that side. This could but if you would drink
[26:42] Speaker 6: you could only might not be wise. He would be
[26:46] Speaker 6: here tutting a bottle gear outdoors.
[26:48] Speaker 2: There's never nobody to see.
[26:50] Speaker 6: Well, I'm should be better inside, maybe maybe down in
[26:54] Speaker 6: the cellar where it could be warm.
[26:57] Speaker 2: We're drink to friendly, toast to odd. But if you're
[27:00] Speaker 2: about to.
[27:00] Speaker 13: Give me a drink, I don't mind the first one
[27:02] Speaker 13: right here?
[27:04] Speaker 6: Very well, try their support of in Spain the dark
[27:10] Speaker 6: heavy wine, right thanks? H might you find it is
[27:21] Speaker 6: too Shall we go inside? Now?
[27:25] Speaker 13: What kind of wine would that?
[27:26] Speaker 2: Other? Busy?
[27:27] Speaker 6: Now I'll show you inside. All right, Well it's a
[27:35] Speaker 6: light white wine. Yeah, now that's more like it might
[27:38] Speaker 6: be labor. I must say.
[27:42] Speaker 2: You can take my word. I'd like to know what
[27:43] Speaker 2: it is. I'll be drinking. I really want to look
[27:46] Speaker 2: at the labor if you want, says yeah, thank you.
[27:53] Speaker 13: Tip Top Value Short Term doesn't by Tip Top Value
[27:58] Speaker 13: Winery Incorporated. I wonder if blushing the fountain you've.
[28:04] Speaker 3: Thrown it.
[28:07] Speaker 2: Wanted to drink some wine that close up your poor you,
[28:11] Speaker 2: you poor.
[28:15] Speaker 6: Harm.
[28:16] Speaker 2: We got no no, no clean out.
[28:19] Speaker 6: All right, horns, you're not blowing open any vaults tonight
[28:22] Speaker 6: with explosive wine.
[28:25] Speaker 2: I didn't. I'd like to know how you caught. I'll
[28:28] Speaker 2: be glad to tell you, and I'll also tell you
[28:30] Speaker 2: that we.
[28:30] Speaker 6: Know where you've got that suit you have on. You
[28:32] Speaker 6: murdered Jack Blake in the desert two weeks ago. I'll
[28:35] Speaker 6: be glad to tell you a lot of things on
[28:36] Speaker 6: including this. You're not going to teach the executioner again.
[28:51] Speaker 6: When your friends stop in, be generous, but be thristy too.
[28:54] Speaker 6: There's plenty of delicious Pepsicola Pepsis twelve ounce bottle gives
[28:59] Speaker 6: you not to one sparkling glass full dot two, you
[29:02] Speaker 6: get a carton of six and serve twelve delicious rinks. Yes,
[29:06] Speaker 6: Petsy is a Clerica's biggest solar value. You get twice
[29:10] Speaker 6: the tangy taste, twice the refreshments, twice the PETSI. So
[29:14] Speaker 6: why take less when Petsy's best. Whenever you reach for refreshments,
[29:19] Speaker 6: remember tet the call.
[29:20] Speaker 2: Of Teoto glasses. That's the lot more value, a lot
[29:24] Speaker 2: more deaty take less when testy.
[29:28] Speaker 3: Tune in every Tuesday and Thursday, same time, same station
[29:31] Speaker 3: to counterspile it next Tuesday. For the exciting counterspy case
[29:36] Speaker 3: of the arrogance Arthenist.
[29:38] Speaker 6: When an international combine was threatened with exposure, the secret
[29:42] Speaker 6: owner hired an operator to erase certain files with kerosine globules.
[29:47] Speaker 6: How this incident forced certain counterspy agents to act as
[29:51] Speaker 6: stupid in reverse will be exposed on our next broadcast
[29:55] Speaker 6: if you're to tune in next Tuesday for case of
[29:58] Speaker 6: the Arrogant Arsenals on counter Spy. The Night's counter Spy program,
[30:08] Speaker 6: originated in New York, was elected by William M. Sleet
[30:11] Speaker 6: and featured Don McLaughlan and Mandel Kramer, with music by
[30:15] Speaker 6: Jesse Crawford. Counter Spy is a Philipates Layde production for Pepsicola.
[30:20] Speaker 6: Enjoying some pepsi I's Cold Tonight.
[30:29] Speaker 1: Welcome back Well, another fine performance by Ralph Bell and
[30:34] Speaker 1: creating this character who is both incredibly cunning but also
[30:41] Speaker 1: massively sadistic. Easily, he is the toughest villain that David
[30:47] Speaker 1: Harding has faced off against, and Harding gets to show
[30:51] Speaker 1: the strength of his deductive and investigative abilities here and
[30:57] Speaker 1: showing in an approach and a philosophy it is very adaptive.
[31:02] Speaker 1: What he realizes is that Horn is going to make disguises.
[31:06] Speaker 1: Horn is going to do a lot of clever things
[31:09] Speaker 1: that will foil the traditional investigative approach. But what Harding
[31:15] Speaker 1: searches for is not trying to anticipate Horn's next big
[31:20] Speaker 1: scheme as much as first figuring out, okay, who is he?
[31:25] Speaker 1: What is the pattern of his behavior beneath all the
[31:29] Speaker 1: substrfuge that he's about to lay out, And in many
[31:33] Speaker 1: ways Harting is very much like a modern profiler and
[31:37] Speaker 1: goes somewhere that a lot of the detectives or crime
[31:41] Speaker 1: programs just did not go. And he's very effective, And
[31:46] Speaker 1: there are so many episodes of this series that do
[31:48] Speaker 1: make me appreciate how clever and brilliant David Harding is
[31:54] Speaker 1: in his own right, And unlike Horn, he doesn't need
[31:57] Speaker 1: to make a big show about it. All right, Listener
[32:00] Speaker 1: comments and feedback, And we have a comment on Spotify
[32:05] Speaker 1: regarding the murdering Messenger. Clark gets shot and sits in
[32:09] Speaker 1: his living room for ten minutes. He could have had
[32:12] Speaker 1: the housekeeper take him to the hospital, but she says
[32:15] Speaker 1: he didn't want to be bothered because she was baking.
[32:18] Speaker 1: Those had better be brownies to die for. Well, to
[32:23] Speaker 1: be fair, she didn't strike me as particularly helpful, and
[32:27] Speaker 1: it's also fair to wonder if getting to the hospital
[32:31] Speaker 1: would have made that big of a difference in that time.
[32:34] Speaker 1: Modern day, maybe calling nine to one one ems might
[32:38] Speaker 1: do something, But who can say all right, and now
[32:43] Speaker 1: we have a comment from YouTube where a listener asked
[32:47] Speaker 1: a question regarding the bouncing bank robber, where is the espionage?
[32:54] Speaker 1: That's a fair question amidst all of the high flying
[32:59] Speaker 1: and in that episode. Now, as discussed before and a
[33:04] Speaker 1: lot of listeners have called out, it's a situation where
[33:08] Speaker 1: effectively Counterspy is the FBI, just not really written in
[33:14] Speaker 1: cooperation with them and not based on real cases, but
[33:18] Speaker 1: essentially postwar. They're patterned after the FBI, which makes sense
[33:22] Speaker 1: because the FBI did a lot of counterintelligence work. But
[33:26] Speaker 1: whether you're going to have actual counter intelligence involved in
[33:30] Speaker 1: the work of Counterspy does really vary from week to week.
[33:34] Speaker 1: All right, Well, now it is time to thank our
[33:37] Speaker 1: Patreon supporter of the day, and I want to go
[33:40] Speaker 1: ahead and thank Michelle, Patreon supporter since May of twenty
