[1:34] Speaker 2: as long as Johnny. You know the old thing, what
[1:37] Speaker 2: old thing? The time a man spending vision is never
[1:40] Speaker 2: deducted from his life span.
[1:42] Speaker 3: So come on out here for a few days.
[1:44] Speaker 2: Oh, but I love it. And if there was some
[1:46] Speaker 2: insurance problem that I could use this excuse. But there
[1:51] Speaker 2: is there. Well, it's something about that I had to
[1:55] Speaker 2: look into. Yeah, they give it any quick well not
[1:58] Speaker 2: me pretty well, but unless I know what it is,
[2:02] Speaker 2: what companies involved important and purely incidentally, he's a spacial
[2:08] Speaker 2: fighting like that. That's right, okay, buster, What am I
[2:12] Speaker 2: waiting for? Bob Bailey and the Exciting Adventures of the
[2:23] Speaker 2: Man with the Ection Tact expense accounts America's fabulous freelance
[2:27] Speaker 2: insurance investigator, the true Johnny Dollars expense accounts of mither
[2:51] Speaker 2: By personal investigator Johnny Dollar for the Greater estat West
[2:54] Speaker 2: Insurance Company. Los Angelo's office attention at the Royal Jay
[2:57] Speaker 2: Harkins following his accounts incurred during my investigation of the
[3:01] Speaker 2: Frantic Fisherman matter when I white kid about it. When
[3:11] Speaker 2: I started this trip, I had no way of knowing
[3:13] Speaker 2: this sure company was involved. Knowing about to favor, I
[3:16] Speaker 2: honestly figured that his mention of an insurance angle would
[3:18] Speaker 2: just to give me a good excuse.
[3:20] Speaker 4: But when you've.
[3:21] Speaker 2: Read the thanks of this report, I'm sure you'll agree
[3:23] Speaker 2: that Greatest Southwest should pay the old expense account without questioning. Yeah,
[3:26] Speaker 2: and probably a nice extra feet to boot. All right,
[3:30] Speaker 2: i'd'm one hundred and sixty four to fifty nights plans
[3:32] Speaker 2: from Hertford to New York to Las Vegas, nevena. I
[3:34] Speaker 2: had him two fifty bucks to found it on a
[3:36] Speaker 2: rental car. I had a son an east to lake,
[3:38] Speaker 2: no hobby resources. Let me hear this place is the
[3:48] Speaker 2: answer to a fisherman square. The lake itself is over
[3:51] Speaker 2: a sixty miles long, average is about a mile wide.
[3:54] Speaker 2: The resort is at the lower end, complete with modern accommodation, cafe,
[3:58] Speaker 2: doc well about everything you get asked for, and Pratt
[4:02] Speaker 2: the general manager about your favorite his wife Marylyn, or
[4:04] Speaker 2: the thought of the earth. And because of that, the
[4:07] Speaker 2: customers are a pretty fine line without exception.
[4:09] Speaker 5: Almost.
[4:10] Speaker 3: I'm gonna put you here in number eighteen.
[4:13] Speaker 2: Johnny, good buster, I'll see right at home.
[4:20] Speaker 3: And new fit enough.
[4:22] Speaker 2: I want to say seven now, h that's right in
[4:28] Speaker 2: a Mitchell three fifty loaded with four pounds tests those.
[4:32] Speaker 2: As soon as you can change your clothes, will gets
[4:35] Speaker 2: the lake. Okay, now this is all very nice, butter
[4:37] Speaker 2: and I'll be changed in about five minutes.
[4:40] Speaker 3: But good, I'll be waiting at the dot.
[4:41] Speaker 2: But I'm telling you, tell me what the insurance angle is.
[4:45] Speaker 2: Am I coming out here? Where I'm going to charge
[4:47] Speaker 2: my expense account? Yeah?
[4:48] Speaker 3: Out on the lake?
[4:49] Speaker 2: Oh sure? That was all just an excuse to get
[4:52] Speaker 2: me out of the face wrong fight. As long as
[4:54] Speaker 2: I'm here, I might as well wrong. Did you say?
[4:58] Speaker 2: That's when I said, then starts bucky.
[5:00] Speaker 6: Sure, out on the lake.
[5:02] Speaker 2: Us there, I'll be ship to break thirty time on
[5:19] Speaker 2: busts hope, will get up the lake at an easy
[5:21] Speaker 2: thirty nine. The day was fair, the win the warm.
[5:23] Speaker 2: I can turn new way to break out the tackle
[5:25] Speaker 2: and gets touch. But us there kept we pants up
[5:28] Speaker 2: half a dozen holes where I knew there was fishing. Instead,
[5:31] Speaker 2: we kept going five or six miles up beyond the
[5:33] Speaker 2: power line start. And then finally he rose.
[5:36] Speaker 3: Into a long, narrow L shaped coat.
[5:39] Speaker 2: It extended back from the main body of the lake
[5:41] Speaker 2: a couple of hundred yards, with flat, rocky walls on
[5:43] Speaker 2: either side. At the end, it angled off to the left,
[5:46] Speaker 2: perhaps a hundred feet. I know there was a very
[5:49] Speaker 2: deep hole there, but if either hadn't tort it, I
[5:52] Speaker 2: noticed another boat back there, and the man in it
[5:55] Speaker 2: seemed to be using a mighty strange fishing technique who
[5:58] Speaker 2: had a long heavy salt water rotting his hands, and
[6:01] Speaker 2: from a pending the nah about that?
[6:04] Speaker 3: Somebody pet us into this spot.
[6:08] Speaker 6: Swinging around and.
[6:10] Speaker 3: Oh, by f alight, I guess that? Why is Jidge
[6:18] Speaker 3: lucy again?
[6:20] Speaker 2: Most of that man sitting down there at the end.
[6:22] Speaker 5: Don't let him notice. To keep an eye on him.
[6:24] Speaker 2: Johnny, you know who you know? He can't say that that.
[6:27] Speaker 5: The name was otis Hellman, he mother blu in Los
[6:30] Speaker 5: Angeles because set away he is speaking out the water
[6:33] Speaker 5: that wad he's using here and wondered about that radio.
[6:36] Speaker 5: But he stops him in the world in the tight.
[6:38] Speaker 2: Did you see what he had on the end of
[6:40] Speaker 2: his line?
[6:40] Speaker 5: Oh that's run down in his.
[6:42] Speaker 2: Book'll just have to work until he gets back to
[6:45] Speaker 2: the doctor.
[6:49] Speaker 6: Ah heyway, all right, rhy No this buff taking him
[6:57] Speaker 6: away side big face? Nothing about manure?
[7:06] Speaker 2: How what did you mean by say about the man?
[7:09] Speaker 6: Would you get a close look at that riggs?
[7:12] Speaker 2: You wait a minute, old the commoners who play that's right.
[7:16] Speaker 6: All the papers last week when we got out of
[7:18] Speaker 6: prison over in California, yeah, true, yes fisherman at the
[7:23] Speaker 6: end of that theme clue day after day, Yes me
[7:28] Speaker 6: that man goodn't.
[7:29] Speaker 3: A good fish.
[7:42] Speaker 2: And the Fredick fisherman met hers. That's the favorite, and
[7:52] Speaker 2: I want up to cut your rock down on Lake Mahobby.
[7:54] Speaker 2: We caught fish plenty of nice big lunka back. We
[7:57] Speaker 2: also kept an eye open to the man who had
[7:59] Speaker 2: been so frantically working a little cold on the way
[8:02] Speaker 2: up using heavy salt water tackle and a right of
[8:05] Speaker 2: peculiar way at un down the son pull out and
[8:08] Speaker 2: head back to Lake Mohavey Resorts the part of them
[8:11] Speaker 2: and said, I still to a ride of the doctor
[8:12] Speaker 2: to Heaven.
[8:22] Speaker 6: Up here we are, Johnny back home same day.
[8:27] Speaker 2: That's up, Jim, take care of.
[8:31] Speaker 1: I'm a story.
[8:32] Speaker 3: I can make a oh pretty good Jim. Hey, you
[8:37] Speaker 3: meant it.
[8:37] Speaker 6: All right, Jim.
[8:38] Speaker 3: Mister helmon, how'd you do today? Where were you fishing?
[8:46] Speaker 4: Didn't I see you in.
[8:47] Speaker 2: The long narrow curve by the power line, and so game? Yes,
[8:56] Speaker 2: I care attack on my sure, all them picking stuff
[9:03] Speaker 2: the tackles from the end of his line into a
[9:05] Speaker 2: fish stock. But I caught a glimpse of a couple
[9:07] Speaker 2: of huge triple lead collars. It was big enough, heavy
[9:11] Speaker 2: enough to catch a whale a respectable pressure water. Bass
[9:14] Speaker 2: couldn't even get one of them into his mouth, thanking
[9:17] Speaker 2: my loan over a scratch and sewed up Buster. And
[9:18] Speaker 2: I talked about it when I asked you, Johnny, the
[9:22] Speaker 2: first team here mother, something about trying to snag and
[9:25] Speaker 2: the carp with that rig snag some cart. But if
[9:28] Speaker 2: you noticed up there in that col before he saw
[9:31] Speaker 2: us looking at it, he was right over the deep
[9:34] Speaker 2: hole at the end of it, the only place I've
[9:36] Speaker 2: ever seen him, you can call it. Then it was
[9:39] Speaker 2: apparently dropping those heavy gang hooks down at the bottom
[9:42] Speaker 2: and then breaking them up the rocky.
[9:44] Speaker 5: Side, like.
[9:46] Speaker 2: Like a grappling hook. Journey right, And he's trying to
[9:50] Speaker 2: snag something down there, All right, busty, but it's certainly
[9:53] Speaker 2: not cart. Have you tried dropping a line down there
[9:56] Speaker 2: to see what you might have? Conso you can't get
[9:58] Speaker 2: me the place because he's always even at nice well, no,
[10:03] Speaker 2: but Johnny, you know what I think it is. And
[10:07] Speaker 2: he just got out of jail too, remember I remember, well, Johnny,
[10:12] Speaker 2: I think his body down there and for some reason
[10:16] Speaker 2: he's trying to bring it up he's very well. Be yes, sir,
[10:20] Speaker 2: and that's why I called you. Well well through Buster,
[10:25] Speaker 2: I'll see what I can do. User had said that
[10:34] Speaker 2: Helman came here from Los Angeles. Well, I was a
[10:37] Speaker 2: man in all with a verta amount of information. Well,
[10:40] Speaker 2: James Harkins, the Greater Southwestern Surrian. It wasn't now. So
[10:43] Speaker 2: I put in a call with Home. I tat him
[10:45] Speaker 2: forty five cents, and he had plenty for me. Of course,
[10:48] Speaker 2: I know who owed his helm and is Johnny. When
[10:51] Speaker 2: he and that partner of his walked out of McKenny
[10:53] Speaker 2: money supply with.
[10:54] Speaker 4: Sixty thousand dollars and in cash.
[10:57] Speaker 2: Mind you, we had to make good on it. Is
[11:00] Speaker 2: that why Helmon was sent to prison Roy, Yeah, for
[11:03] Speaker 2: complicity in that job, though I believe his partner was
[11:06] Speaker 2: the one who really did it was at.
[11:08] Speaker 4: Another old prospector named Oscar Kirkman.
[11:12] Speaker 2: Kirkman, is he still in jail? Oh? He disappeared Johnny
[11:16] Speaker 2: just before he was to go to trial. And the money,
[11:18] Speaker 2: not a penny of it was ever found.
[11:21] Speaker 4: Oh. If you have any ideas about how and where
[11:24] Speaker 4: you might recover it, very right.
[11:26] Speaker 2: But if you're interested in Kirkland's body, might be able
[11:29] Speaker 2: to find that for him. What or what's the left
[11:31] Speaker 2: of it? I hit? How can I be sure? I
[11:39] Speaker 2: mean that it was a body that Helmon was trying
[11:41] Speaker 2: to locate up there in that piece little cold well.
[11:43] Speaker 2: There was only one way to find out, and I
[11:45] Speaker 2: needed a special equipment for it. Early the next morning,
[11:48] Speaker 2: I climbed it in my rental car.
[11:50] Speaker 3: They shall be sporting goods up in Las Vegas journey.
[11:53] Speaker 2: That's the closest place, you know, huh, I'm.
[11:55] Speaker 3: Afraid so okay, then here I go near it doesn't
[11:59] Speaker 3: clost around here there. Good loaning to you, cause most
[12:01] Speaker 3: of the people right now, either fishermen or water skin.
[12:04] Speaker 2: Incidentally, did Helman go out in this boss this morning?
[12:07] Speaker 3: Oh Johnny? And uh listen here making my imagination to
[12:11] Speaker 3: working over? Its time to listen down.
[12:14] Speaker 2: Helman had breakfast food early over in the cafe, and
[12:17] Speaker 2: then he's got.
[12:17] Speaker 3: In by those window where he could look forth with children.
[12:20] Speaker 2: Mister county dozen cups of coffee couldn't there, But he didn't.
[12:23] Speaker 3: Budge until you came out off.
[12:25] Speaker 2: When you did, you went over.
[12:27] Speaker 3: Perfect or to carry walked down to the floahouse.
[12:31] Speaker 5: I mean it was a little too casual.
[12:33] Speaker 6: Just put around down there still step an eye on you?
[12:36] Speaker 3: No, I don't like it.
[12:37] Speaker 2: Mm some many must have sort him more.
[12:39] Speaker 5: End Uh.
[12:40] Speaker 2: I wanted to help Johnny.
[12:41] Speaker 3: I wanted him not too before you ride.
[12:43] Speaker 2: And I don't think any of it. Guess that's the
[12:45] Speaker 2: same I think Helman fishes in it, and Johnny, I'll
[12:49] Speaker 2: stop worrying.
[12:50] Speaker 3: That's the same.
[12:50] Speaker 2: Speak an eye on him. I'll see when I get
[12:53] Speaker 2: back from ont Vegas. It was nearly one hundred miles
[13:01] Speaker 2: to Vegas and I made it in two hours five.
[13:04] Speaker 2: There are Shelby's sporting goods. I spent it him four
[13:06] Speaker 2: one hundred and sixty nine dollars and eighteen cents for
[13:08] Speaker 2: a complete skin diving outfit, laying space play diving tank
[13:11] Speaker 2: and regulator, a powerful waterpool headlamp, and yeah, passionate thin
[13:16] Speaker 2: pair of suncop.
[13:18] Speaker 3: Hey our pardoner. You're gonna do your skin diving over lake.
[13:21] Speaker 2: Me dono, maholly. You know the last time I outfitted
[13:25] Speaker 2: a man for down there was a couple of years ago.
[13:28] Speaker 2: A man called him to a minor prospector. Oh you know,
[13:32] Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty bucks worth the stuffed to him
[13:34] Speaker 2: and never got it. Back. I wait a minute, you
[13:37] Speaker 2: know what his name was? Sure wye of the fact
[13:40] Speaker 2: that he gave me a pony. Went right after that
[13:43] Speaker 2: that His picture was all over the papers with his partner,
[13:46] Speaker 2: another crook named gotus Hellman, and his name rings a
[13:49] Speaker 2: bell down in the partner it sure does. I sure
[13:52] Speaker 2: wow Hellman took a rap. This one disappeared. The name
[13:55] Speaker 2: was Ostra Crookman. Let's tell you, you've just given me
[13:58] Speaker 2: a wild idea, So just wild enough to make some sense. Yeah,
[14:02] Speaker 2: and help me solve a kith. Solve the kate what kind?
[14:05] Speaker 2: Who knows? Maybe murder, among other things. I'm gonna drive
[14:17] Speaker 2: down the Lake Mohabbe Resort. I stopped in Boulder City
[14:19] Speaker 2: at the office of the National Parker Man. There, I
[14:22] Speaker 2: got a hold of a topographical map of the whole
[14:24] Speaker 2: area before Lake Mohabe was filled up. I did a
[14:26] Speaker 2: thing then, thanking Iran a very thought. I went over
[14:29] Speaker 2: as very carefully, only got a minute I before I
[14:34] Speaker 2: drive over to Bluehead City.
[14:35] Speaker 3: But I saw you come rearing in a minute ago.
[14:38] Speaker 2: And what do you get it? Hey all, looks take
[14:42] Speaker 2: a look here on the slack. Yeah, before the new
[14:45] Speaker 2: dam sold.
[14:45] Speaker 4: Up the lake a few years ago. Oh I look.
[14:49] Speaker 2: Here, Oh well, yes, for that long clove is now
[14:55] Speaker 2: world is Helman has been working with that a boop
[15:00] Speaker 2: hole at the end of that call Kirkman Farley. That
[15:04] Speaker 2: is right, Kirkman had a mine there before the lake
[15:08] Speaker 2: was filled, when it was all just desert land by
[15:10] Speaker 2: the side of the Canorader River. And right there is
[15:13] Speaker 2: where Hellman is grappling. Right, Kirkman disappeared, Johnny, Yes, but
[15:19] Speaker 2: what really happened is as otis Hellman killed him.
[15:22] Speaker 3: And stepped him down there and underwater mine.
[15:25] Speaker 2: Maybe, but why he wants to bring him up again?
[15:28] Speaker 4: Whatever?
[15:28] Speaker 3: Let's must.
[15:29] Speaker 2: I want to lose your boat, sure, and if Helmond
[15:33] Speaker 2: hasn't gone out fishing having oh he's still lying around
[15:36] Speaker 2: down to right. Good, somehow you've got to keep him
[15:39] Speaker 2: from following me.
[15:40] Speaker 5: Well, Hellman has seen knew me together so much.
[15:43] Speaker 2: But well, I can help gimm fill up the fuel
[15:46] Speaker 2: tank on Helman's boat and meantime take out one of
[15:49] Speaker 2: his sportsblogs something like that. Right, God, he'll have plenty
[15:52] Speaker 2: of chances because Hellman will be watching me when.
[15:54] Speaker 5: I take off.
[15:55] Speaker 4: What are you going to do a little sking diving.
[15:58] Speaker 2: Off at the end of that call, and don't be
[16:00] Speaker 2: surprised at what I may bring up. Almond was still
[16:11] Speaker 2: at the dock, and I thought he kept his eyes
[16:13] Speaker 2: only on me. As I filed the skin diving stuff
[16:15] Speaker 2: at about his book, John Jim went through the motions
[16:18] Speaker 2: of feeling up his water. Then I took off, and
[16:20] Speaker 2: with the flattel wide open, drove up the lake in
[16:23] Speaker 2: the long l shaped coal. At the end of it,
[16:25] Speaker 2: where the deep hole was, I tied up to an
[16:27] Speaker 2: overhanging rock, but on swim trunks, fatally slippers and tanks,
[16:31] Speaker 2: and gently left myself over the side. I've done a
[16:38] Speaker 2: lot of skin diving here and there, but this is
[16:41] Speaker 2: something new. The bright desert sunlight from above filtered through
[16:45] Speaker 2: the clear cool water and blended almost clearly the colors
[16:48] Speaker 2: of the rocks and the narrow canyon that made this
[16:50] Speaker 2: little coal, where the tremendous forces of nature of the
[16:53] Speaker 2: millions of years that stood up in the very space
[16:55] Speaker 2: of the earth and never been cooled and crushed and
[16:59] Speaker 2: twisted the rocks and the stringed with wonderful shape, and
[17:02] Speaker 2: the fish, fancy coffee and bo dear even a lazy
[17:05] Speaker 2: old car. They're watching without fear as I glided down
[17:08] Speaker 2: beside it, moved gently at signed and sell it a
[17:12] Speaker 2: huge Tasi casually turned aside. As I put down the
[17:15] Speaker 2: passer beam of the headliner. I can almost imagine a
[17:18] Speaker 2: look of the spring on his face. Is desided this
[17:21] Speaker 2: mum beam in the world above. And then I found
[17:25] Speaker 2: what I was looking for. The entrance to the old
[17:28] Speaker 2: Chrispling mind simply boarded up. But I managed to find
[17:31] Speaker 2: one of the boards loose, and I found a package
[17:34] Speaker 2: wrapping heavy plastic with a heavy coating of white, but
[17:37] Speaker 2: I could see the color of money inside. I slammed
[17:40] Speaker 2: back up to the surface with it. The shadow I
[17:42] Speaker 2: thought was suck the face passing off my gear. I
[17:47] Speaker 2: flung him and the package in the board and granted up.
[17:51] Speaker 6: Father coming up with mister tellers, Wow, let's help.
[17:57] Speaker 3: A place the spark plug in my motors that you
[17:59] Speaker 3: had to removed.
[18:00] Speaker 2: Good for you, he gave me a lot of trouble
[18:01] Speaker 2: dollars locating and recovering the money. Turn me now that
[18:05] Speaker 2: I haven't look if you're laying that thing yet away?
[18:08] Speaker 6: Did you at those figs?
[18:09] Speaker 2: What I mean?
[18:09] Speaker 3: You astir kirkman nurm there, I listened Helen hand. Don't matter.
[18:13] Speaker 6: After that killed you, You're gonna train down there with
[18:16] Speaker 6: these answers tied.
[18:17] Speaker 3: To your feet.
[18:19] Speaker 6: Thanks again, mister.
[18:24] Speaker 2: I picked with all I had and overturned the boat
[18:27] Speaker 2: at the end of the water. I haven't fight again.
[18:29] Speaker 2: I coun cushion hit his clothes, but he dropped the gunner.
[18:32] Speaker 2: With a help of of sins on my feet, I
[18:33] Speaker 2: was over the turn and grabbed him around the neck
[18:35] Speaker 2: and dragg him down. I had taken a deep threat
[18:37] Speaker 2: before capsizing his boat, and he was an older man
[18:40] Speaker 2: and I but it's mood like hours before. He finally
[18:42] Speaker 2: put struggling, and with my lungs almost bursting, I carried
[18:45] Speaker 2: him back up to the suffet. It was full of lies.
[18:48] Speaker 2: What hat must blessed his part and the blory when
[19:03] Speaker 2: he saw Helman following up the lake, so he buy
[19:06] Speaker 2: the boat was waiting for us there at the end
[19:08] Speaker 2: of the others. Hammon, Well, that's that for the course.
[19:12] Speaker 2: The money, of course, are sixty thousand bucks of it.
[19:14] Speaker 2: We'll go bank to the company. Oh expense the council,
[19:18] Speaker 2: including all the incidentals I could think of in a
[19:20] Speaker 2: couple of days, A good fifteen sixty eighty five, Your
[19:24] Speaker 2: sweet Johnny DAWs here's our story to tell you about
[19:42] Speaker 2: next week's story. Next week a call from an old friend. Yeah,
[19:47] Speaker 2: the news were death in the desert, john Us, won't
[19:50] Speaker 2: you You're swelling, Johnny Dawes, You're truly Johnny Dollars, Dunning
[20:04] Speaker 2: Bob Bailey originates in Hollywood and the Zipping produce them.
[20:08] Speaker 6: Directed by Jack.
[20:09] Speaker 2: Johnstone, region our cast for Barney Phillips, Sam Edwards, Bibat,
[20:14] Speaker 2: Robinson Blaas Lewis and Ralph Lucy. He could have joined
[20:18] Speaker 2: us next week, same time in season or another exciting
[20:21] Speaker 2: story of your truly Johnny Dollar.
[20:28] Speaker 3: This is Jim Matthew speaking.
[20:33] Speaker 1: Welcome back. This was an entertaining episode, but there are
[20:39] Speaker 1: some puzzling decisions in this starting with Otis's plan. Now,
[20:44] Speaker 1: the way Johnny resolves this and finds the money Hilly
[20:48] Speaker 1: does beg the question why didn't Otis do that? It
[20:53] Speaker 1: could be that, unlike Johnny, Otis is not an expert diver,
[20:58] Speaker 1: but he could have hired I mean, maybe he didn't
[21:02] Speaker 1: want to attract attention by hiring a diver. That was
[21:08] Speaker 1: the case, probably should not have spent six consecutive days
[21:14] Speaker 1: in the same.
[21:15] Speaker 4: Little cove with a salt water rod and.
[21:19] Speaker 1: With hooks far too big to catch any fresh water fish.
[21:24] Speaker 1: I also do wonder why Johnny was so focused on
[21:28] Speaker 1: this primarily being about recovering the body of his partner,
[21:34] Speaker 1: Because if you're dealing with a situation where there is
[21:40] Speaker 1: stolen loot unaccounted for and the body of one of
[21:45] Speaker 1: the suspects, I'm gonna lean towards the loot being the
[21:49] Speaker 1: primary impetus here listener comments and feedback now and have
[21:55] Speaker 1: a comment from a random Spotify user regarding the miling
[21:59] Speaker 1: Buddha matter. I wish this could have been an omnibus
[22:03] Speaker 1: or a six parter when only one main characters introduced.
[22:06] Speaker 1: There's only one suspect. I appreciate how Johnny was able
[22:10] Speaker 1: to solve it, but the potential for more suspects would
[22:13] Speaker 1: have been more satisfying, and I think that's a fair concern.
[22:19] Speaker 1: I do think that as the series got to this
[22:23] Speaker 1: point where you had less than twenty minutes of storytelling time,
[22:27] Speaker 1: they often cut out the who done it element, sometimes
[22:33] Speaker 1: intentionally and sometimes unintentionally. This week's episode is a good example.
[22:40] Speaker 1: There was really no who done it? Element? Johnny was
[22:45] Speaker 1: called in to investigate Otis's suspicious behavior with the real
[22:51] Speaker 1: mystery mean what's going on? And I think that's okay
[22:55] Speaker 1: in a case like this Smiling Buddha matter, because it
[23:00] Speaker 1: really does hint at it being a question of who
[23:05] Speaker 1: and that being really important to figure out who stole
[23:10] Speaker 1: the statue and how they got it out. Now, given that,
[23:14] Speaker 1: though who was the housekeeper, the what becomes a lot
[23:18] Speaker 1: less interesting because there's lots of ways the person with
[23:24] Speaker 1: means and access to the statue would be able to
[23:29] Speaker 1: steal it. So definitely a case where more suspects would
[23:33] Speaker 1: be helpful. I don't know if I'd want it to
[23:36] Speaker 1: go all the way to like the full length Cereals,
[23:40] Speaker 1: because I don't think there was enough story there to
[23:44] Speaker 1: really build off of. Then we go to YouTube where
[23:47] Speaker 1: we have a comment from bat Ball Passport regarding the
[23:54] Speaker 1: Life at Stake matter. It's nice to see Johnny deal
[23:57] Speaker 1: with a non perilous encounter steaks. So what you liked
[24:04] Speaker 1: about that episode was lower stakes and more steaks.
[24:08] Speaker 5: And on that.
