[24:24] Speaker 13: Happened just like room.
[24:25] Speaker 4: That was a message I sent out the first thing
[24:28] Speaker 4: I came into this room. We had everything steps come on,
[24:31] Speaker 4: I want to drive back and face them.
[24:44] Speaker 6: Where are we going nowadays?
[24:46] Speaker 4: We've got a place where we hide people like them
[24:48] Speaker 4: away for a while. I couldn't more over a private prison.
[24:53] Speaker 4: There are steel bars and escape proof dividers. That's what
[24:55] Speaker 4: you mean. After that, it's the firing squad. All these
[25:12] Speaker 4: people in these cells. Oma, our agents is the Gestapo
[25:15] Speaker 4: or the Japanese Black Dragons. That's win to this cell.
[25:20] Speaker 4: I'll wait.
[25:23] Speaker 13: Oh, oh, it's horrible. It's pretnant just to look at it.
[25:29] Speaker 13: He didn't see him arise. They know they're going to
[25:33] Speaker 13: be shot.
[25:33] Speaker 4: Oh God, tack and see if a sir held palmers
[25:37] Speaker 4: we brought in yet, if he has bringing to this cell, yeah,
[25:43] Speaker 4: sit down on this card, Norma. We may have quite
[25:45] Speaker 4: a little week.
[25:47] Speaker 13: Dave, how did you catch the hell?
[25:52] Speaker 4: We'll let him do the dogging when he gets here. Ohma,
[25:56] Speaker 4: let me tell you something, because something very startling about
[26:00] Speaker 4: to happen. Lieutenant John O'Brien was a confidential messenger for
[26:06] Speaker 4: the Army. On his last mission, he was murdered in
[26:09] Speaker 4: the train while the lights were out. The window was
[26:12] Speaker 4: broken and his body thrown out to help interest minute
[26:16] Speaker 4: messidim Oh gud Alona. We checked O'Brien, the movement, everything
[26:22] Speaker 4: he did. After he received those confidential instructions, O'Brien went
[26:26] Speaker 4: back to his hotel room and the only thing he
[26:28] Speaker 4: did besides packing, was to put in five telephone calls.
[26:33] Speaker 4: Three were calls to the Army department, one was a
[26:35] Speaker 4: call to his mother, and one was a call to
[26:38] Speaker 4: a girl. We traced that call. It shows the hotel records.
[26:42] Speaker 4: We immediately started investigating that girl, and it gradually showed
[26:46] Speaker 4: up that her background wasn't quite what she claimed it
[26:49] Speaker 4: to be. In other words, she'd found out that Lieutenant
[26:53] Speaker 4: O'Brien was a trusted government messenger. He'd become acquainted with
[26:56] Speaker 4: him and started seeing a good deal of him. And
[26:59] Speaker 4: when he own her on a certain night and said
[27:01] Speaker 4: he was going to San Francisco, she knew it must
[27:04] Speaker 4: be on important business, and as he was a confidential
[27:08] Speaker 4: government messenger, she knew he'd probably have the papers with him,
[27:13] Speaker 4: so she passed the word on, gave orders for the
[27:17] Speaker 4: two men to board the train, and after a little
[27:19] Speaker 4: while cut the electric light wires in that car. Murder
[27:22] Speaker 4: O'Brien throw his body off. At a certain pre arranged time.
[27:28] Speaker 4: Two other men in an automobile were waiting and carried
[27:30] Speaker 4: his body away because they were afraid he might have
[27:34] Speaker 4: important papers on his personal well.
[27:37] Speaker 13: Were those men who were running the short rail station
[27:39] Speaker 13: the one.
[27:40] Speaker 4: Who murdered his n of the brand, Yes, but they
[27:43] Speaker 4: received their instructions from the woman to do it. The
[27:47] Speaker 4: woman was the real murderer, did you turn to me. Yes,
[27:52] Speaker 4: I believe you know, Miss Brilly. Oh yes, I've.
[27:58] Speaker 6: Had that privilege. That's right. So held are you, Miss Brayley.
[28:04] Speaker 6: What a counter spire to me, George Davis.
[28:10] Speaker 13: But he's a Canadian. He's getting me to walk.
[28:13] Speaker 4: He's the one.
[28:13] Speaker 13: I saw the papers.
[28:14] Speaker 6: Then the very good job of skeealing them you did too,
[28:19] Speaker 6: Miss Brayley.
[28:19] Speaker 4: You were under arrest by the United States government. No
[28:25] Speaker 4: take it away from Davis. While you were stealing the papers, David,
[28:30] Speaker 4: he was putting blank Cottridge in the gun you had
[28:32] Speaker 4: in your handbag. Killing comes pretty easy to you, doesn't
[28:35] Speaker 4: it you. I wasn't absolutely positive that you were the woman,
[28:39] Speaker 4: Miss Brayley. So we heard that broadcast tonight and your
[28:42] Speaker 4: expies passed on word about the revised fortification papers being
[28:47] Speaker 4: sent to the coach Saturday night. Then I knew that
[28:51] Speaker 4: you were the one we wanted, because that was just
[28:54] Speaker 4: a made up story, and you and I were the
[28:58] Speaker 4: only two in the whole world. Hold put it into me.
[29:03] Speaker 4: You're very unobserving. You should have noticed that this is
[29:07] Speaker 4: a woman section, and half an hour before we arrived,
[29:10] Speaker 4: this very cell was reserved for you. This is the
[29:14] Speaker 4: place that you're going to stay. Come on, David, you.
[29:21] Speaker 13: Friend, do you understand how.
[29:24] Speaker 4: France refugee right from Berlin? You never saw France in
[29:26] Speaker 4: your life. We checked your family. They live on Connection
[29:29] Speaker 4: Strappa Hamlet.
[29:35] Speaker 6: He's about the most icious I was taken infant toward
[29:38] Speaker 6: started hunting.
[29:40] Speaker 4: I have a feeling she's responsible for a lot of
[29:42] Speaker 4: important information leaking out David. The one thing certain he
[29:48] Speaker 4: won't get.
[29:49] Speaker 1: Up welcome back. The sound quality wasn't the best, and
[30:04] Speaker 1: the title, which can be confirmed from newspaper reports, is
[30:09] Speaker 1: a bit in apt for what the story is about.
[30:12] Speaker 1: Certainly there's a radio station involved, but that's not even
[30:17] Speaker 1: the central point of what's happening in the episode. But
[30:22] Speaker 1: those are my two complaints. I really found myself impressed
[30:27] Speaker 1: with this episode and what is interesting and what happens
[30:33] Speaker 1: I think all too rarely is you had a story
[30:37] Speaker 1: where the protagonist actions don't make sense. But I love
[30:43] Speaker 1: the twist that the lady Harding recruited or seemed to recruit,
[30:49] Speaker 1: was actually the head of the spir ring. It is
[30:53] Speaker 1: such a great reversal and it flips us so much
[30:58] Speaker 1: that happened in the episode on its head because he
[31:01] Speaker 1: did this at the very least strongly suspecting that she
[31:06] Speaker 1: was an enemy agent, so we can't actually trust much
[31:10] Speaker 1: of what he may have said about the operation of Counterspy,
[31:15] Speaker 1: things like calling her from the phone boath in case
[31:19] Speaker 1: that Gestapo had tapped the line of the head of
[31:23] Speaker 1: Counterspy may have just been for show. But I really
[31:28] Speaker 1: do love this twist of Hardy putting the likely enemy
[31:34] Speaker 1: agent by making her his operative. Just a really masterful
[31:39] Speaker 1: move by Harding. A listener comments and feedback now, and
[31:43] Speaker 1: we have some comments starting with Spotify, and we have
[31:46] Speaker 1: some comments regarding the case of the gasoline barge. Mechanic
[31:51] Speaker 1: sixty six says giving out weather conditions is now prohibited,
[31:55] Speaker 1: but there was a bad storm tonight. I'm fairly certain
[31:58] Speaker 1: a bad storm is a weather condition, and that's a
[32:02] Speaker 1: good point. And again, I do think that the implementing
[32:09] Speaker 1: the ban on forecasting weather about a fictional location at
[32:14] Speaker 1: a fictional time was a silly concedant. I guess that's
[32:18] Speaker 1: another part of it. Harrison said, Bud Bixby and Baxter
[32:24] Speaker 1: and Baxter Boy couldn't throw in a mister Smith or
[32:27] Speaker 1: mister Morris to make it easier on multitasking, modern listeners.
[32:32] Speaker 1: I digress, Well, this isn't mister Keanes racer of Lost
[32:37] Speaker 1: Persons or of wartime version. I guess mister Keanes racer
[32:42] Speaker 1: of Lost Spies. I actually thought of mister Kean recently
[32:46] Speaker 1: when I heard the news that Matt Damon, as I believe,
[32:54] Speaker 1: said that filmmakers are being pressured by Netflix to have
[33:03] Speaker 1: people repeating the names of characters over and over again
[33:07] Speaker 1: for folks who are passively listening to Netflix while they're
[33:12] Speaker 1: doing other things, so trends come around. Harrison also added
[33:19] Speaker 1: my favorite bit of comedy was I'm afraid this gas
[33:22] Speaker 1: is being obtained by counterfeit coupons to be used to
[33:26] Speaker 1: refuel enemy submarines, and Harrison quotes, you think it goes
[33:32] Speaker 1: that deep? Honestly, that is such a good catch. I
[33:36] Speaker 1: didn't miss it. All the lines were delivered in a
[33:39] Speaker 1: very straightforward way, but that one, that one had to
[33:44] Speaker 1: be the writer deciding, yeah, there's a war going on,
[33:48] Speaker 1: but I could work in a little joke over on YouTube.
[33:52] Speaker 1: Regarding the Loganberry point spot, Alan Riot's a favorite episode
[33:57] Speaker 1: of mine, Ryan Sir Riots Up get me the super
[34:01] Speaker 1: secret headquarters of counter Spy in Washington, d C. I'd
[34:06] Speaker 1: read your comment Ryins, and I couldn't help but think
[34:09] Speaker 1: for most of the episode, given how hard hard he
[34:15] Speaker 1: was describing his job in terms of being able to
[34:20] Speaker 1: do recruitment, it seems like either he should not be
[34:25] Speaker 1: a public face of the agency, or if he is
[34:29] Speaker 1: going to be the public face, somebody else had better
[34:32] Speaker 1: be doing all of the top secret work, because being
[34:36] Speaker 1: is well known as he apparently is is a bit
[34:39] Speaker 1: of a detriment. And finally, Mark writs, try the movie
[34:42] Speaker 1: The Russians are Coming. The Russians are Coming. Well, thanks
