[0:00] Speaker 1: WWE actually did the right thing with all of the
[0:04] Speaker 1: key matches here on this show. I cannot believe that
[0:07] Speaker 1: I am sitting here right now and we are going
[0:10] Speaker 1: to talk about Night of champions a WWE Championship match,
[0:13] Speaker 1: a King of the Ring Final, a Queen of the
[0:15] Speaker 1: Ring Final, and WWE is batting a thousand. As far
[0:19] Speaker 1: as all of the key matches go, but none bigger
[0:21] Speaker 1: than what we just saw in the main event. This
[0:24] Speaker 1: went from being just another show to being a very
[0:26] Speaker 1: newsworthy show after what happened in the main event, which
[0:30] Speaker 1: was a triple threat match Cody Rhodes, Gunther and Sammy
[0:34] Speaker 1: Zain for the WWE Championship. This was the natural outgrowth
[0:39] Speaker 1: of everything that we've seen over the last few weeks.
[0:41] Speaker 1: We've already seen Cody and Gunther, Sammy Zay the whole
[0:44] Speaker 1: last real good guy thing. He's kind of worked his
[0:46] Speaker 1: way into this story, and so a triple thread only
[0:49] Speaker 1: made sense for this show. And coming into the show,
[0:52] Speaker 1: I said, you know what I would like to see.
[0:54] Speaker 1: I would like to see Cody Rhodes drop the WWE Championship.
[0:58] Speaker 1: But it was very clear it was not going to
[0:59] Speaker 1: beat a gun Th. Sure, I would love to see
[1:02] Speaker 1: Cody Roach drop the championship to Sammy's Ain. And I
[1:05] Speaker 1: couldn't even believe I was sitting here saying that, because
[1:08] Speaker 1: six months ago, if you would have told me that, hey,
[1:11] Speaker 1: you know what I think we should do. I think
[1:12] Speaker 1: we should put the World Championship on Sammy's Ain, I
[1:15] Speaker 1: would have said, you're out of your fucking mind. It
[1:18] Speaker 1: is incredible. This is a great example of just how
[1:22] Speaker 1: important a simple character tweak, a simple character change can
[1:27] Speaker 1: be in someone's career, because think of where this man
[1:31] Speaker 1: was at the beginning of the year. In fact, we
[1:32] Speaker 1: can go back even further. We are living in the
[1:35] Speaker 1: year twenty twenty six and I do believe it was
[1:38] Speaker 1: twenty sixteen when Sammy's Ain officially made his way to
[1:42] Speaker 1: the main roster. I think it was twenty fifteen when
[1:44] Speaker 1: he had that unfortunate, you know, injury when he wrestled
[1:48] Speaker 1: John Cena and he tore his freaking rotator cuff flailing
[1:52] Speaker 1: his arms around. By twenty sixteen, this man was on
[1:56] Speaker 1: the main roster. He's been there for a decade. And
[1:59] Speaker 1: Sammy's Ain has always been that guy, right, great worker,
[2:03] Speaker 1: He's a great wrestler, he's a good hand, he's a
[2:07] Speaker 1: good guy to put in there, maybe against the champion, right,
[2:10] Speaker 1: but he's not the champion. He doesn't look like a champion.
[2:12] Speaker 1: He doesn't look like somebody that you would build around.
[2:15] Speaker 1: He's not going to be the face of a brand.
[2:18] Speaker 1: He's the guy who works with the guy. Right. That
[2:20] Speaker 1: was kind of the rap on Sammy's a Right, Tag
[2:23] Speaker 1: Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion. The thing about
[2:27] Speaker 1: Sammy though, is that whatever you give him, he takes
[2:31] Speaker 1: it and he knocks it out of the park. He
[2:34] Speaker 1: did that recently with the US Title Open Challenge stuff
[2:38] Speaker 1: last year. He's the one who really got that going.
[2:40] Speaker 1: You went from him to Dragon Off, from Dragging Off
[2:42] Speaker 1: to Carmelo Hayes. But it was Sammy's Ain who really
[2:45] Speaker 1: got things in motion with that, and it was some
[2:47] Speaker 1: of the best television on SmackDown late last year. The
[2:52] Speaker 1: Bloodline stuff, need I say more? The Bloodline stuff was
[2:57] Speaker 1: obviously a much larger story, and I'm not saying it
[3:00] Speaker 1: was a terrible story. But when Sammy z Ain, the
[3:02] Speaker 1: whole Sammy USO thing, right, when Sammy z Ain came
[3:05] Speaker 1: into the picture, holy shit, I mean, did that not
[3:09] Speaker 1: level it up, you know, one level above whatever it
[3:12] Speaker 1: was they were doing before. He added a dimension and
[3:15] Speaker 1: an element to that that was very entertaining and really
[3:18] Speaker 1: took the Bloodline story to that next level. The bloodline
[3:21] Speaker 1: story does not work as well if they don't essentially
[3:25] Speaker 1: luck into the whole Sammy USO thing. So he was
[3:29] Speaker 1: very instrumental in that. He was part of that story.
[3:33] Speaker 1: He ended up getting a main event spot, He got
[3:36] Speaker 1: a main event win, won the tag team Championships in
[3:40] Speaker 1: the main event of WrestleMania. It's had a lot of achievements,
[3:43] Speaker 1: a lot of accomplishments in his career, but now he
[3:45] Speaker 1: can add one more to that list. Now he can
[3:48] Speaker 1: call himself WWE Champion. I didn't think they'd have the
[3:53] Speaker 1: balls to do it. In fact, when SmackDown was over
[3:55] Speaker 1: last night, I had this feeling that as much as
[3:59] Speaker 1: I want want to see Sammy win, this did not
[4:01] Speaker 1: come off to me like a show that was building
[4:04] Speaker 1: to a Sammy's ain title win. I came out of
[4:06] Speaker 1: that show last night thinking, boy, it sure feels to
[4:09] Speaker 1: me like they may just keep the belt on Cody
[4:12] Speaker 1: and we're not going to get any change at all.
[4:14] Speaker 1: And I was kind of hoping it would go a
[4:17] Speaker 1: different way, but I was not terribly optimistic about it.
[4:22] Speaker 1: Sammy's ain went out there in the main event tonight,
[4:27] Speaker 1: a man who only a few months ago, I want
[4:30] Speaker 1: to point this out to you, he was feuding with
[4:35] Speaker 1: Trick Williams and the gingerbread Man. In fact, he showed
[4:40] Speaker 1: up one week dressed up as the gingerbread Man. This
[4:43] Speaker 1: was only two months ago, three months ago. This wasn't
[4:46] Speaker 1: that far. This wasn't that far in the past that
[4:48] Speaker 1: we were doing the gingerbread Man stuff. Okay, I had
[4:51] Speaker 1: a funeral on SmackDown the SmackDown review last night that
[4:55] Speaker 1: I think was more entertaining than the gingerbread Man funeral
[4:58] Speaker 1: a few months ago. But that's the kind of stuff
[5:00] Speaker 1: that Sammy's Aim was doing not that long ago. The
[5:05] Speaker 1: reactions to him began to change, and to me, this
[5:08] Speaker 1: is a great example of something where you kind of
[5:10] Speaker 1: luck into it. There is this organic, natural response from
[5:15] Speaker 1: the audience where Sammy starts getting booed, but it's not
[5:19] Speaker 1: like total complete booze. It's not like he's coming out
[5:23] Speaker 1: there and getting dominic mysterio heat or anything like that.
[5:26] Speaker 1: But the reactions are changing and I'm sure Sammy in
[5:29] Speaker 1: real life is looking at this and he's he's how
[5:32] Speaker 1: can it not bother you? Right, He's probably looking this
[5:34] Speaker 1: and going, hmm, this is kind of strange. But then
[5:36] Speaker 1: if you're someone like Sammy's ain who's been doing this
[5:38] Speaker 1: for a long time, you realize pretty quickly, hey, we
[5:41] Speaker 1: may have something here. We may be able to parlay
[5:43] Speaker 1: this into something that could actually end up being a
[5:46] Speaker 1: really good thing for me. So let's just lean into
[5:49] Speaker 1: it and see where it goes. And hence the whole
[5:51] Speaker 1: you know, last real good guy stuff that he's been
[5:53] Speaker 1: doing where he's a heel but maybe not like one
[5:56] Speaker 1: hundred percent. You know, he comes out, he talks about
[5:59] Speaker 1: his right or fans. It was just an interesting change
[6:04] Speaker 1: to his character from what he had been doing previously.
[6:08] Speaker 1: But it just worked out so well. And the title
[6:10] Speaker 1: scene on SmackDown has been so lackluster they moved Gunther
[6:16] Speaker 1: over from Rowda SmackDown to try to fix the problem
[6:19] Speaker 1: because coming out of WrestleMania, they didn't have Drew MacIntyre,
[6:22] Speaker 1: and you couldn't well go back to Cody and Drew anyway,
[6:25] Speaker 1: you already play that out. They didn't have Randy Orton,
[6:29] Speaker 1: who I take it really is hurt. I saw he
[6:33] Speaker 1: just got pulled from a fanatics fest. He pulled out
[6:35] Speaker 1: a Fanatics Fest which is coming up in a few weeks.
[6:37] Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with him. That story,
[6:40] Speaker 1: to me is a dead story. I mean, sure, they
[6:41] Speaker 1: could always revisit it, but the level of interest in
[6:45] Speaker 1: excitement that I had finally for a Cody and Randy
[6:49] Speaker 1: story was ruined. They fucked it all up at WrestleMania.
[6:54] Speaker 1: So even if they revisit it one day, I don't
[6:56] Speaker 1: know that I'm going to have the same level of
[6:57] Speaker 1: enthusiasm for it. You know, they kind of botched the
[6:59] Speaker 1: whole thing up there. But then Randy Orton, you know,
[7:02] Speaker 1: punted Cody in the head. He hasn't been seen since WrestleMania.
[7:05] Speaker 1: So they had to shift Gunther over. With any hope
[7:09] Speaker 1: they'll move CM Punk over. I've been saying that for
[7:11] Speaker 1: a long time. It sounds like that is what they're
[7:13] Speaker 1: gonna do. They have to, they have to. Monday Night
[7:18] Speaker 1: Raw is the Roman Rain show, it is the Bloodline show,
[7:21] Speaker 1: and we already had a WrestleMania main event with Punk
[7:23] Speaker 1: and Roman Punk. He could use the change in scenery.
[7:27] Speaker 1: But for the time being, we were, you know, dealing
[7:30] Speaker 1: with Cody and Gunther, and Cody had already beaten him,
[7:33] Speaker 1: and then they had the rematch on TV right a
[7:35] Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago or a week ago, whatever it was,
[7:39] Speaker 1: and it was all done in a way that's set
[7:41] Speaker 1: up the match that we had here on this show.
[7:44] Speaker 1: The one negative as I look at these three men,
[7:48] Speaker 1: and I look at Gunther specifically, is the aura that
[7:52] Speaker 1: this man has lost, that he has shed in the
[7:56] Speaker 1: six months since he beat aj Styles, in the seven
[8:00] Speaker 1: since he retired John Cena. He was the man that
[8:03] Speaker 1: they chose. He was the man that John Cena said, Hey,
[8:07] Speaker 1: not only are we gonna work together and you're gonna
[8:10] Speaker 1: beat me, I have an idea for how I'd like
[8:13] Speaker 1: to go out right, I'm gonna give up. They bestowed
[8:19] Speaker 1: that upon Gunther. Look at where he is now, and
[8:23] Speaker 1: you honestly tell me, okay, you honestly tell me that
[8:28] Speaker 1: Gunther in June of twenty twenty six still feels the
[8:31] Speaker 1: same way that he felt in December or January of
[8:35] Speaker 1: this year. He doesn't. And I don't know how they
[8:40] Speaker 1: get that back. Not saying they can't, but I'm saying
[8:43] Speaker 1: what they had, it's kind of gone away, and I
[8:47] Speaker 1: didn't really have much of an interest at this point.
[8:49] Speaker 1: And even seeing Gunther win the championship from Cody but
[8:53] Speaker 1: Sammy that interested me because you can go in a
[8:57] Speaker 1: lot of different directions with that, not just because oh,
[9:00] Speaker 1: you know, I like Sammy, or because oh he deserves it.
[9:02] Speaker 1: He hasn't been the champion yet. You know, sometimes people
[9:05] Speaker 1: don't win the championship, but there are times where it
[9:08] Speaker 1: just makes sense to me. This is a moment in
[9:10] Speaker 1: time here where it made sense to shake things up
[9:12] Speaker 1: a little bit here on the road to Summer Slim.
[9:16] Speaker 1: I don't see the harm in doing it instead of
[9:18] Speaker 1: just playing the status quo. This now shakes up the
[9:22] Speaker 1: title picture on SmackDown in a way that makes things
[9:25] Speaker 1: interesting because we look ahead now to Summer Slam, we're
[9:27] Speaker 1: not exactly sure what the main event is going to
[9:30] Speaker 1: look like on the SmackDown side. Are we looking at
[9:33] Speaker 1: a scenario where we get Cody and Sammy in a
[9:37] Speaker 1: rematch one on one? I think that's very likely. I
[9:39] Speaker 1: cannot imagine a Summer Slim main event this year that
[9:42] Speaker 1: does not have Cody Roads in it. Are we looking
[9:45] Speaker 1: at a scenario where the new King of the Ring
[9:48] Speaker 1: is going to choose to go after Sammy and his championship.
[9:52] Speaker 1: Are we looking at something maybe completely off the wall
[9:56] Speaker 1: that we may not even be thinking of. Are we
[9:58] Speaker 1: even looking at Sammy's aing going into Summer Slam as
[10:01] Speaker 1: the champion? Are we looking at a situation where Sammy
[10:06] Speaker 1: Zane doesn't make it out of Saturday Night's main event
[10:08] Speaker 1: as the WWE champion. All of these options are now
[10:11] Speaker 1: on the table, and I welcome it because SmackDown could
[10:15] Speaker 1: use a real kick in the ass. It can use
[10:16] Speaker 1: a shot in the arm and a little unpredictability, and
[10:20] Speaker 1: I feel like, now that's what we have at least
[10:23] Speaker 1: in the main event scene here here on SmackDown. But again,
[10:28] Speaker 1: like I'm just thinking back to, you know, where we
[10:32] Speaker 1: were coming out of WrestleMania and where we are now,
[10:36] Speaker 1: and Gunther is there and Punk is likely coming in,
[10:38] Speaker 1: Sammy is the champion, you still got Cody in the mix,
[10:41] Speaker 1: and I don't know who else they may want to
[10:42] Speaker 1: throw in there. But all of a sudden, you've got
[10:45] Speaker 1: You've got something I think that people can at least
[10:48] Speaker 1: talk talk about and discuss in terms of like, I
[10:51] Speaker 1: don't know exactly where this is going to go. I
[10:54] Speaker 1: personally just look at that as a good thing. I
[10:57] Speaker 1: thought the main event tonight on this show easily the
[10:59] Speaker 1: best thing on the entire show. I knew coming in.
[11:02] Speaker 1: You put those three men in the ring together, you're
[11:03] Speaker 1: gonna get a great match. That's also why I like
[11:06] Speaker 1: the idea of them doing a triple threat, right, you
[11:08] Speaker 1: get a kick ass match out of it, And that's
[11:11] Speaker 1: exactly what we got. Great drama down the line. It
[11:14] Speaker 1: was it really I think stood out more so because
[11:17] Speaker 1: there were so many other things on this show that
[11:21] Speaker 1: came off so flat. And I can't even just blame
[11:24] Speaker 1: the crowd. The crowd was the crowd was very quiet
[11:27] Speaker 1: for a lot of the undercard, right of course, when
[11:30] Speaker 1: the big stars were out there. Sammy of course is
[11:32] Speaker 1: always beloved when he goes over to Saudi Cody Oba.
[11:37] Speaker 1: There were people like that who got I'm not saying
[11:39] Speaker 1: that they didn't get reactions, but so much on this
[11:42] Speaker 1: show the product came across so cold, like ice cold,
[11:48] Speaker 1: like rigamortis cold. But for a couple of matches on
[11:54] Speaker 1: the entire show, I didn't think this was a good show. Overall,
[11:58] Speaker 1: I was pretty fucking bored for most of it. The
[12:02] Speaker 1: big highlight of the show was that main event and
[12:04] Speaker 1: the main event finish, and again I liked the fact
[12:07] Speaker 1: that they batted a thousand. As far as I think
[12:10] Speaker 1: the outcomes for the key matches on the show, they
[12:13] Speaker 1: got it right when it came to the key matches
[12:16] Speaker 1: on this show, and some people may disagree when it
[12:19] Speaker 1: comes to the Seth and bron breaker match, although I
[12:22] Speaker 1: didn't look at that as one of the key matches
[12:24] Speaker 1: on this show, but where it mattered, where it counted,
[12:28] Speaker 1: I thought they got it right. I'm also just tickled
[12:30] Speaker 1: every time Michael Cole, and this is not the first
[12:33] Speaker 1: time he's done this, but Michael Cole has taken There's
[12:38] Speaker 1: been somebody strays that Wemby has taken, including another one
[12:43] Speaker 1: on commentary tonight during the main event from Michael Cole.
[12:48] Speaker 1: But we'll get into what happened in the main event
[12:51] Speaker 1: where things may go from here with Sammy, that was
[12:53] Speaker 1: obviously the big story coming out of this one thing.
[12:57] Speaker 1: I will say, I do wish and I supp there's
[13:00] Speaker 1: always a chance of it, but it seems unlikely given
[13:06] Speaker 1: that I think he had surgery less than a year ago.
[13:08] Speaker 1: It's a very serious injury. But man, now that sammy's
[13:12] Speaker 1: Ain is the WWE champion for however long he's going
[13:15] Speaker 1: to be the champion for. If ever there was a time,
[13:17] Speaker 1: a perfect time for Kevin Owens to reappear on television,
[13:20] Speaker 1: this would be it, right, whether they're on opposite sides,
[13:24] Speaker 1: whether they're on the same side, because despite what Cody
[13:29] Speaker 1: Rhades may have said on SmackDown last night, Kevin Owens
[13:32] Speaker 1: has never been WWE champion. Sammy's Ain actually won the
[13:37] Speaker 1: WWE title before Kevin Owens did. If ever there was
[13:41] Speaker 1: a good time for him to pop back up on TV,
[13:44] Speaker 1: this would be it. It might be wishful thinking, but who knows.
[13:48] Speaker 1: I guess it depends on how long Sammy holds that
[13:50] Speaker 1: championship for. But then the other thing outside of the
[13:53] Speaker 1: WWE title that this show was built around, right, let
[13:57] Speaker 1: me let me, let me prepare here, because you can't
[14:00] Speaker 1: talk about the King of the Ring without a crown.
[14:03] Speaker 1: So I only feel it's appropriate here that we placed
[14:07] Speaker 1: this on the royal head. Yeah. I think back on
[14:10] Speaker 1: these King of the Ring tournaments over the years, the
[14:12] Speaker 1: televised ones, they go all the way back to nineteen
[14:14] Speaker 1: ninety three, and we've gotten some really good finals over
[14:19] Speaker 1: the years. The first one, you know, Brett Hard and
[14:22] Speaker 1: Bam Bam Bigelow back in ninety three, the Rock and
[14:26] Speaker 1: Ken Shamrock in nineteen ninety eight, Kurt Angle and Edge
[14:29] Speaker 1: in two thousand and one. I'm gonna throw it in there.
[14:33] Speaker 1: Baron Corbin and Chad Gable on Raw in the finals
[14:36] Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen, I thought, and that went like almost
[14:39] Speaker 1: twenty minutes. I thought they had a hell of a
[14:41] Speaker 1: match that year. Randy Orton and Gunther a couple of
[14:45] Speaker 1: years ago. So we've had some really good King of
[14:48] Speaker 1: the Ring finals. Unfortunately, we've had more bad ones than
[14:52] Speaker 1: good ones. I would even say the vast majority of
[14:56] Speaker 1: these King of the Ring finals have been very underwhelming,
[14:59] Speaker 1: very disappointing, or just flat out not good. And unfortunately,
[15:04] Speaker 1: I think that the one that we had here on
[15:06] Speaker 1: this show falls into that latter category, the unforgettable, right,
[15:11] Speaker 1: the unforgettable and the forgettable. It falls into the forgettable category.
[15:16] Speaker 1: There was nothing memorable about the King of the Ring
[15:18] Speaker 1: final or the Queen of the Ring final on this show.
[15:21] Speaker 1: In fact, you have these tournaments that build to these
[15:25] Speaker 1: big finales and it just feels like another match on
[15:28] Speaker 1: the show. And so that sucks because you would hope
[15:31] Speaker 1: at a tournament like it would really build to the big
[15:33] Speaker 1: climactic finale and there would be something about that match
[15:36] Speaker 1: that stands out, whether it's just a bangor wrestling match
[15:39] Speaker 1: or there's just great drama or something big, like there's
[15:43] Speaker 1: got to be something to it, and there really wasn't.
[15:48] Speaker 1: I will say I will say this though they went
[15:51] Speaker 1: the way of the Continental Classic, they took a page
[15:55] Speaker 1: out of aw with the way that they did these
[15:57] Speaker 1: tournaments this year, or at least it worked out that
[15:59] Speaker 1: way where it out with the Continental Title and the
[16:03] Speaker 1: Continental Classic stuff. There's no outside interference allowed, I thought
[16:07] Speaker 1: for sure, and at least one, if not both of
[16:09] Speaker 1: these matches we were going to get somebody getting involved.
[16:11] Speaker 1: There was going to be interference from the judgment day
[16:13] Speaker 1: trying to help live Morgan brock Lesnar was going to
[16:15] Speaker 1: show up and he was going to try to fuck
[16:16] Speaker 1: over Obafemi, and it was kind of refreshing. We didn't
[16:20] Speaker 1: get any of that. We had two matches here in
[16:22] Speaker 1: these finals where nobody got involved. It was just there
[16:26] Speaker 1: and maybe you thought that made it boring. I don't know,
[16:28] Speaker 1: but like it made for a clean finish in both
[16:31] Speaker 1: cases where it's like, oh okay, that was kind of
[16:35] Speaker 1: a pleasant surprise that I wasn't really expecting. But yes,
[16:40] Speaker 1: Brock Lesnar did not show up on this show the
[16:42] Speaker 1: judgment day outside of live did not show up here
[16:46] Speaker 1: on this show. There was no interference and they got
[16:49] Speaker 1: it right. Everybody was so worried, myself included that they
[16:54] Speaker 1: were going to go with King Yeat on this show.
[17:00] Speaker 1: We were gonna get jay Usso challenging for one of
[17:02] Speaker 1: the world championships at Summerslim. They were gonna get cute.
[17:04] Speaker 1: They were gonna have Brock interfear. We're gonna get Brock
[17:07] Speaker 1: and Oba SummerSlam and jay Uso is wrestling for a belt,
[17:10] Speaker 1: and that would have been fucking awful. That would have
[17:12] Speaker 1: been fucking terrible, and they didn't do that. They toyed
[17:17] Speaker 1: with us, They toyed with us. They wanted us to
[17:20] Speaker 1: sweat a little bit. But all that matters is that
[17:23] Speaker 1: in the end, it was the right call. It was
[17:24] Speaker 1: the obvious choice. He was very straightforward the way they
[17:28] Speaker 1: did it. And Oba Femi is the King of the
[17:30] Speaker 1: Ring He has had quite the year so far, beating
[17:34] Speaker 1: Bronckolesnu at WrestleMania, and now he's the King of the ring.
[17:37] Speaker 1: He is getting a push very similar to the one
[17:41] Speaker 1: that Brock himself got when he first debuted in two
[17:43] Speaker 1: thousand and two. He's getting the Brock push. I'm all
[17:46] Speaker 1: for the Brock push. You don't give the Brock push
[17:50] Speaker 1: very often. You save it if you're gonna do it.
[17:53] Speaker 1: It's a lot in a very short period of time
[17:56] Speaker 1: for someone new that could end up being a bad thing.
[17:59] Speaker 1: The pendulum can swing the other way. It's too much,
[18:01] Speaker 1: too soon, the fans rebel, or the pressure is too
[18:05] Speaker 1: much for the performer. Right. You never really know. But
[18:08] Speaker 1: every now and then there's a guy who comes along
[18:10] Speaker 1: and you just look at him and you know, okay,
[18:12] Speaker 1: this is going to be the guy. So let's just
[18:14] Speaker 1: go all the way with him. Let's not fuck around.
[18:16] Speaker 1: Obafemi wrestling for the Intercontinental title. Who needs to see that?
[18:20] Speaker 1: Opa Femi wrestling for the United States Championship. Who gives
[18:23] Speaker 1: a shit. He's bigger than that, literally the big guy
[18:30] Speaker 1: so here. He is now challenging for one of the
[18:32] Speaker 1: two world championships in his first Summer Slim, and the
[18:36] Speaker 1: only question is which title is it going to be?
[18:41] Speaker 1: And the Queen of the Ring Live Morgan, Eo Sky,
[18:46] Speaker 1: Queen Eo. We now have Queen EO and EO will
[18:51] Speaker 1: be challenging. We already know what championships she's challenging for.
[18:54] Speaker 1: She already told Live Morgan, I'll see you at Summer Slim.
[18:56] Speaker 1: So we had our first match made official for Summerslim
[18:59] Speaker 1: this year. Morgan will defend the Women's World Championship against
[19:02] Speaker 1: the Oh Sky and that's great. We actually had a
[19:05] Speaker 1: second Summer Slide match that we're going to get as well.
[19:07] Speaker 1: It's not official, but after what happened here on this show,
[19:10] Speaker 1: it's pretty clear what the other not for a title,
[19:14] Speaker 1: but what the other women's match on that show is
[19:16] Speaker 1: going to be. Now. As much as I can heat
[19:19] Speaker 1: praise upon them forgetting it right when it comes to
[19:22] Speaker 1: the outcomes of these matches, I can't help but sit
[19:24] Speaker 1: here and also say, as a fan of the King
[19:27] Speaker 1: of the Ring, I wish they as much as they
[19:30] Speaker 1: got the outcome right, I wish they would have gotten
[19:32] Speaker 1: the tournament right because Jay Usso never should have been
[19:36] Speaker 1: in the finals to begin with. All of the options
[19:39] Speaker 1: that were available to them, And again, you could have
[19:42] Speaker 1: had Obafemi in there with any number of people who
[19:45] Speaker 1: were in the tournament, people who were not even in
[19:47] Speaker 1: the tournament. But there were a lot of better options
[19:50] Speaker 1: for a finals match that would have given us a
[19:52] Speaker 1: better match, that would have given us, I think, a
[19:54] Speaker 1: more exciting conclusion, and they went with what I thought
[19:57] Speaker 1: was frankly the most boring of all the options available
[20:01] Speaker 1: to them. Liv Morgan had no business even being in
[20:04] Speaker 1: the Queen of the Ring tournament. She's the women's World champion.
[20:07] Speaker 1: She should not have been in there in the first place.
[20:11] Speaker 1: She took up a spot that could have gone to
[20:12] Speaker 1: somebody else and made no sense that she was even
[20:15] Speaker 1: in there to begin with. So I just I wish
[20:18] Speaker 1: they would have taken greater care in when they put
[20:22] Speaker 1: these tournaments together, figuring out, Okay, what are what are
[20:26] Speaker 1: the best possible options that we have here to make
[20:29] Speaker 1: for the most interesting, exciting tournament, great matches, to where
[20:33] Speaker 1: it really feels like every match is a battle and
[20:35] Speaker 1: this thing really matters, you know, in a major way.
[20:40] Speaker 1: And I thought they fell short of that, just with
[20:42] Speaker 1: you know, some of the choices they made along the
[20:45] Speaker 1: way as far as this stuff goes, we had a
[20:48] Speaker 1: steel cage match on this show only take my crown off? Now,
[20:53] Speaker 1: what do you think? Do you accept me as your king?
[20:59] Speaker 1: Will you bow down and send a super chat? Let's
[21:02] Speaker 1: talk about the cage match. We had a steel cage
[21:04] Speaker 1: match on this show with Seth Rollins and bron Breaker.
[21:07] Speaker 1: This was the blowoff finally, hallelujah between Seth Rollins and
[21:12] Speaker 1: the Vision. And we still don't know who's going to
[21:15] Speaker 1: be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, but
[21:18] Speaker 1: Seth Rollins is definitely got to be one of the top.
[21:21] Speaker 1: I'd say two options of who's going to get Roman
[21:24] Speaker 1: Reigns on that show, and if that's the case, then
[21:26] Speaker 1: he had to win tonight. But I understand people being
[21:29] Speaker 1: upset that bron Breaker did not win. Came into this match,
[21:33] Speaker 1: Seth Rollins was basically saying, let's see what you're made of, kid,
[21:36] Speaker 1: Let's see what you got. And then bron Breaker went
[21:40] Speaker 1: in there and he lost. He got beat by Seth Rollins.
[21:46] Speaker 1: Now I didn't look at how they did it as
[21:48] Speaker 1: any sort of burial, but I look at it and
[21:51] Speaker 1: I do question, Now, what's next for this guy, he
[21:54] Speaker 1: could end up being a burial depending on how they
[21:56] Speaker 1: follow up on this, he could very easily fall through
[21:59] Speaker 1: the cracks, and that would be a terrible thing. So
[22:03] Speaker 1: I think it's too early to judge exactly where he's
[22:05] Speaker 1: going to end up here in the second half of
[22:08] Speaker 1: the year. I don't see there being a lot of
[22:10] Speaker 1: great options though, heading into SummerSlam and beyond for bron Breaker.
[22:15] Speaker 1: But if Seth Rollins is going to challenge for the
[22:17] Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship, it only made sense for him to
[22:20] Speaker 1: win this match. If you're gonna build him up for
[22:23] Speaker 1: a championship match, that's the way it has to be done.
[22:26] Speaker 1: It's no different. I got a question the other night
[22:28] Speaker 1: here on one of these streams from somebody asking me
[22:30] Speaker 1: to I think it was I might have been SmackDown
[22:31] Speaker 1: last night, and somebody asked me, well, do you think
[22:34] Speaker 1: there's a chance that Zach Saber Junior might beat Kenny
[22:37] Speaker 1: Omega Forbidden Door tomorrow? And I'm like, oh, I sure
[22:40] Speaker 1: as fuck hope not. That would be fucking terrible. If
[22:44] Speaker 1: Kenny Omega is going to be challenging for the aw
[22:46] Speaker 1: World title next month, he needs to win. That's the
[22:49] Speaker 1: way it should work. But bron Breaker is in a
[22:55] Speaker 1: weird place now because I honestly look at bron Breaker
[22:57] Speaker 1: and think the best course of action here is to
[22:59] Speaker 1: turn baby face and get him away from the Vision,
[23:03] Speaker 1: because if he sticks with the Vision as it's currently constructed,
[23:06] Speaker 1: I don't really see a good place to go with him.
[23:09] Speaker 1: It's going to be very, very important how they decided
[23:11] Speaker 1: to follow up on this. There was another negative about
[23:15] Speaker 1: this show, which is that the fans and Riod did
[23:18] Speaker 1: not give a single shit about any of the women's
[23:21] Speaker 1: matches on this show. There were a few matches, I mean,
[23:24] Speaker 1: frankly even you know, a good chunk of the Cage match,
[23:27] Speaker 1: but the women's matches in particular, it was very noticeable.
[23:30] Speaker 1: The Queen of the Ring Final, the women's US title match,
[23:32] Speaker 1: they did not give a shit. They did not care.
[23:35] Speaker 1: But for like the fun spots that EO usually does,
[23:38] Speaker 1: they pop for EO winning at the finish, they did
[23:40] Speaker 1: pot for that. But a lot of stuff on the
[23:43] Speaker 1: undercar the women in particular the men's US title match,
[23:46] Speaker 1: that they didn't give a shit and it really brought
[23:49] Speaker 1: the show down. But again I can't put the full
[23:51] Speaker 1: blame on them because what they got wasn't really terribly exciting.
[23:55] Speaker 1: I said before, I didn't think overall this was really
[23:58] Speaker 1: that good of a show. I was fucking bored for
[24:00] Speaker 1: most of it, and the matches that we got were
[24:03] Speaker 1: not great. They were not great outside of the main event,
[24:07] Speaker 1: the main event, save that show. If you take that
[24:10] Speaker 1: main event away and you have a main event very
[24:12] Speaker 1: similar to the matches that we were getting on the undercard,
[24:15] Speaker 1: where it's like it's a solid match, this is an
[24:17] Speaker 1: automatic thumbs down show. I mean, there was somebody who
[24:21] Speaker 1: said to me, Solo Monster, Oba and Jay was so
[24:25] Speaker 1: much better than I thought it would be. Four stars.
[24:27] Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you talking about? Four stars? What
[24:31] Speaker 1: are you out of your mind? Outside of the main event.
[24:35] Speaker 1: There was nothing on this show. The cage match, I
[24:36] Speaker 1: will say, and I did not hate the cage match.
[24:39] Speaker 1: The cage match was very boring for the first half,
[24:42] Speaker 1: very slow, not a whole lot going on. Unacceptable for
[24:47] Speaker 1: a match that was supposed to be this big blowoff
[24:49] Speaker 1: to like a grudge feud. And then in the final,
[24:53] Speaker 1: you know, like I don't know, five six, seven, eight
[24:55] Speaker 1: minutes or whatever, it really picked up and I liked
[24:57] Speaker 1: what they did there at the end, but were it
[25:01] Speaker 1: not for that main event, boy, this would have been terrible.
[25:05] Speaker 1: The main event really did make this show very much,
[25:08] Speaker 1: so we're going to talk about all of it though.
[25:10] Speaker 1: This is your Night of Champions twenty twenty six review.
[25:16] Speaker 1: I am the Solomn Monster. I am King solom Monster.
[25:19] Speaker 1: Very happy that you can join me here on a
[25:21] Speaker 1: Saturday afternoon a lot earlier than usual, but such is
[25:24] Speaker 1: the case with these Saudi shows which air early. It's
[25:27] Speaker 1: gonna be very very much the same with WrestleMania. Next year,
[25:30] Speaker 1: you're gonna get WrestleMania one o'clock in the afternoon, So
[25:33] Speaker 1: get used to it. Like and subscribe. Super chats are
[25:37] Speaker 1: open and they are the lifeblood of the channel. I
[25:41] Speaker 1: do appreciate all of the support that you throw my way.
[25:45] Speaker 1: You guys are awesome. I appreciate all of the support.
[25:48] Speaker 1: I will say I did see something on social media
[25:51] Speaker 1: before about an outage with stream labs, which if that's
[25:57] Speaker 1: the case, it sounds like it might be a widespread outage.
[26:00] Speaker 1: That means nothing is going to pop up on screen.
[26:02] Speaker 1: So I'm going to see all of your messages and
[26:04] Speaker 1: I will read them, but they may not be popping
[26:07] Speaker 1: up on the screen unfortunately, but that's it seems to
[26:10] Speaker 1: be a widespread stream labs things to just be aware
[26:14] Speaker 1: of that. If you don't see them and you're wondering
[26:18] Speaker 1: where they are, don't blame me, but they are coming through.
[26:23] Speaker 1: Let's bring up the wheel and take it for a spin.
[26:26] Speaker 1: Let's see how many likes we need. We do have
[26:28] Speaker 1: a bonus goal in the chat, by the way, a
[26:30] Speaker 1: bonus super check goal. We're already halfway there. If we
[26:32] Speaker 1: hit that goal, we'll do bonus. Be the booker. But
[26:34] Speaker 1: let's find out how many likes we need to do
[26:37] Speaker 1: B to B, which is a fun little thing we
[26:39] Speaker 1: do here on these streams. If we hit our goal,
[26:43] Speaker 1: let's find out four fifty a modest goal. I have
[26:50] Speaker 1: a feeling we're not going to have an issue with that.
[26:55] Speaker 1: I have a feeling that that's not going to be
[26:56] Speaker 1: a problem. We are already up to three eighty five,
[27:00] Speaker 1: so four fifty is the goal. You guys know what
[27:03] Speaker 1: to do. Go ahead and hit that thumbs up. I
[27:07] Speaker 1: do want to acknowledge I know we got a I believe.
[27:11] Speaker 1: Let me see here if it's who it was from,
[27:16] Speaker 1: but I believe we got a gunhar bomb. We did,
[27:20] Speaker 1: we did, we did, we did, we did. We got
[27:25] Speaker 1: a gun thar bomb here from Eric the Sean who
[27:30] Speaker 1: dropped a fifty dollars super Chell. Let me bring it
[27:32] Speaker 1: up in a separate window. So I'm going to read
[27:34] Speaker 1: his now, because that is a that is a big one.
[27:38] Speaker 1: That's what she said. Congratulations to Sammy for finally winning
[27:43] Speaker 1: the big one. Honestly, wish it would have happened a
[27:45] Speaker 1: little bit sooner, but I guess it's better than never.
[27:48] Speaker 1: Does this pave the way for a Kevin Owens return
[27:50] Speaker 1: to either congratulate Sammy or attack him? See great, great
[27:54] Speaker 1: minds think alike. Here these two men will forever be linked.
[27:58] Speaker 1: If one has success, yes, you know, automatically, you got
[28:02] Speaker 1: to think about the other one, right, is the other
[28:03] Speaker 1: one going to turn on them? Is the other one
[28:05] Speaker 1: gonna you know, be happy for them? And they've gotta
[28:07] Speaker 1: be partners again. I just don't know where he is
[28:10] Speaker 1: in terms of his recovery and getting cleared. That was
[28:14] Speaker 1: my first thought. Honestly, It's like, how can they weave
[28:16] Speaker 1: Kevin Owens into this because he's a SmackDown guy too,
[28:19] Speaker 1: But I just don't know if he's I don't know
[28:21] Speaker 1: that he's medically clear, but that doesn't necessarily mean he
[28:24] Speaker 1: can't show up on TV. You know, he may not
[28:28] Speaker 1: be able to wrestle, but if they can figure out
[28:30] Speaker 1: a way to kind of work him into a story
[28:32] Speaker 1: on TV, then who knows, you know, we may see him.
[28:37] Speaker 1: But Eric, thank you, brother. I appreciate that. Michael Cole
[28:41] Speaker 1: and Corey Graves, they were on the call here for
[28:44] Speaker 1: this show. Michael Cole's audio at the beginning of the
[28:48] Speaker 1: show was noticeably clipping anytime he yelled. He sounded like
[28:53] Speaker 1: a YouTuber, so anytime he yelled, he was clipping, and
[28:57] Speaker 1: Corey graves audio also was kind of cutting in and out.
[29:00] Speaker 1: It was very low. At one point. There was a
[29:02] Speaker 1: lot of weird stuff going on with the audio. I
[29:04] Speaker 1: think they fixed Cohle's problem about halfway through, but then
[29:08] Speaker 1: we had more audio problems at the end during the
[29:10] Speaker 1: main event because the announced desk got taken out, which
[29:13] Speaker 1: we'll get to. But they opened this show first hour
[29:16] Speaker 1: on ESPN with the King of the Ring final between
[29:21] Speaker 1: Oba Femi and Jay Usso. So Jay came out first,
[29:27] Speaker 1: he yeaded his way down to the ring and then
[29:30] Speaker 1: it was Oba there was a random burst of pyro
[29:34] Speaker 1: off camera for some reason, or a concussion, I guess
[29:36] Speaker 1: is what they called them. I don't know what that
[29:38] Speaker 1: was about. Sounded like a cannon went off, and nobody
[29:41] Speaker 1: really acknowledged it. And then we were underway and the
[29:44] Speaker 1: match began. We got a right hand from Jay that
[29:47] Speaker 1: only stunned Oba, who mowed him down with a shoulder block.
[29:51] Speaker 1: Jay ducked outside. Oba went out after him, and so
[29:54] Speaker 1: Jay sent him into the ring post. Then he got
[29:56] Speaker 1: back inside. He hit Oba with a suicide dive, and
[30:00] Speaker 1: then another one. A third one got cut off. Oba
[30:03] Speaker 1: hoisted him up. He was going to give him a
[30:04] Speaker 1: shoulder breaker, and he did. And on commentary, I noticed
[30:09] Speaker 1: at this point we were already up to about three
[30:13] Speaker 1: or four mentions, three or four name drops of brock
[30:16] Speaker 1: Lesner on comment his various references to brock Lesner and
[30:20] Speaker 1: Oba's previous battles with him, and I was like, hmm,
[30:25] Speaker 1: they're sure mentioning his name an awful lot, which takes
[30:28] Speaker 1: away if he's going to show up as a surprise,
[30:30] Speaker 1: you wouldn't want to mention his name. You wouldn't even
[30:32] Speaker 1: want people to have brock Lesnar on the brain. So
[30:35] Speaker 1: the fact that they mentioned him several times during this
[30:38] Speaker 1: match was very noticeable to me that maybe we're not
[30:41] Speaker 1: going to see him here. So Oba got him up
[30:45] Speaker 1: for a fall from grace and he fell down on
[30:48] Speaker 1: his butt like he normally would. But before he fell
[30:50] Speaker 1: down on his ass, Jay had slipped out. He slipped
[30:53] Speaker 1: out behind him and so he gave him a super
[30:55] Speaker 1: kick to the back of the head. He went up top,
[30:57] Speaker 1: he hit an USO splash, not even a one count
[31:00] Speaker 1: because Ober reached up and he goozled him. He grabbed
[31:02] Speaker 1: him by the throat. Oba planted him. Then after this
[31:06] Speaker 1: with a choke slam for a two count. There were
[31:09] Speaker 1: multiple super kicks by Jay as he fought back, and
[31:13] Speaker 1: then there was a spear that took down Oba. Jay
[31:17] Speaker 1: go's up top. He lands another USO splash, but he
[31:19] Speaker 1: didn't go for the pin. He didn't follow up with
[31:22] Speaker 1: the pin, which was very strange, and the announcers pointed
[31:24] Speaker 1: out that, well, he may have hurt his ribs on
[31:27] Speaker 1: the way down. I'm like, well, he never hurts his
[31:28] Speaker 1: ribs before when he does the splash, And then they
[31:32] Speaker 1: also floated the possibility that he may be exhausted and
[31:35] Speaker 1: that's a little more believable. I don't think anybody would.
[31:38] Speaker 1: Would you be too shocked to find out if jay
[31:42] Speaker 1: Uso was, you know, exhausted by this point in the match.
[31:45] Speaker 1: So anyway, he didn't follow up with a pin. Both
[31:47] Speaker 1: men were down, so he went up top. He had
[31:50] Speaker 1: a second Uso splash, this time he covered. Oba kicked
[31:53] Speaker 1: out it too. Jay got a sleeper hole applied on
[31:58] Speaker 1: the mat, and they pointed out on comment it's the
[32:00] Speaker 1: same move that he used to beat Gunther to win
[32:03] Speaker 1: the World championship. Yeah, you don't have to remind us.
[32:05] Speaker 1: We remember that. We're never gonna forget the ending of
[32:08] Speaker 1: that match and the way that went down. Oba them
[32:11] Speaker 1: made it back up to his feet very easily. He
[32:13] Speaker 1: broke free a pair of running uppercuts, then dropped Jay.
[32:17] Speaker 1: He hoisted him up, he bealed him and now it's
[32:22] Speaker 1: time for the fall from grace. And I'm waiting. I'm
[32:26] Speaker 1: just waiting for the fuckery. I'm like, Okay, something's about
[32:28] Speaker 1: to happen here. Someone's coming out, Rock showing up. Something's
[32:31] Speaker 1: gonna happen here. Gets him up for the fall from grace.
[32:35] Speaker 1: Down goes jay Uso and Oba Femi pins jay Uso
[32:41] Speaker 1: clean as a sheet one two three in the middle
[32:44] Speaker 1: of the ring about eight minutes in to become the
[32:47] Speaker 1: King of the Ring. Nick Aldis was there to present
[32:51] Speaker 1: the crown to Oba. Not as nice as not as
[32:54] Speaker 1: nice as this one right here. He presented the crown. Honestly,
[32:57] Speaker 1: it was probably it's probably made of the same plastic
[32:59] Speaker 1: as it one is. You know, you know, those fucking
[33:04] Speaker 1: crowns are just cheap, cheap as fuck. So Adam Pierce
[33:09] Speaker 1: wasn't there for whatever reason, but Nick all this was.
[33:12] Speaker 1: And so he presents the crown to Oba, who never
[33:15] Speaker 1: put it on his head. Neither's a gunther now that
[33:18] Speaker 1: I think about it. They probably didn't want them to
[33:21] Speaker 1: look ridiculous with it on their head. Interestingly, Cody had
[33:24] Speaker 1: no problem putting the crown on his head and looking silly,
[33:28] Speaker 1: but I don't think Oba ever actually put the crown
[33:30] Speaker 1: on his head. Byron Saxton got in the ring to
[33:32] Speaker 1: interview him. Oba said, it feels good to go from
[33:34] Speaker 1: being the ruler to being the king. He said, you
[33:38] Speaker 1: can't beat Destiny, and most importantly, you can't beat him.
[33:43] Speaker 1: He is the mountain that you cannot conquer. He is
[33:45] Speaker 1: the beast slayer. He is the king of the ring,
[33:48] Speaker 1: Oba Bemi, And I'm just sitting here and I'm thinking
[33:53] Speaker 1: to myself, thank god, common sense prevailed. At the end
[33:58] Speaker 1: of the day, they made the right move. There really
[34:02] Speaker 1: only should have been one outcome to this. It was
[34:05] Speaker 1: the obvious one. But they got a lot of people
[34:07] Speaker 1: very worried because the blood line, right is the end
[34:11] Speaker 1: all be all in this company. And Jay had gotten
[34:13] Speaker 1: this renewed singles push lately, and he made it all
[34:15] Speaker 1: the way to the finals, and we knew Brock was lurking.
[34:17] Speaker 1: We didn't know if he was going to show up
[34:19] Speaker 1: or not. This match was only going to go one
[34:22] Speaker 1: of two ways, right, Either Oba wins or Jay wins. Duh, obviously,
[34:26] Speaker 1: but as far as how Jay only wins if Brock interferes.
[34:31] Speaker 1: If Brock Lesner shows up, that's how Jay Uso wins.
[34:34] Speaker 1: So either Brock shows up or he doesn't, and if
[34:37] Speaker 1: he doesn't, then Oba wins. And that's what they did.
[34:41] Speaker 1: No interference, no Shenanigan's no fuckery here. And again them
[34:47] Speaker 1: name dropping Brock all those times, to me was kind
[34:49] Speaker 1: of a giveaway that he probably wasn't going to shot.
[34:51] Speaker 1: I mean I wasn't one hundred percent sure, but by
[34:55] Speaker 1: the third or fourth mention of brock Lesnar, I was
[34:57] Speaker 1: pretty sure that he wasn't showing up here in this match. Now, look,
[35:01] Speaker 1: some people are gonna quibble, I'm sure over how much
[35:04] Speaker 1: offense Jay got. It went eight minutes, he got. They
[35:07] Speaker 1: gave him a lot in this match, and he got
[35:09] Speaker 1: a bunch of neer falls. That doesn't bother me, because
[35:13] Speaker 1: of course they're gonna give him offense here. I know
[35:15] Speaker 1: that there are a lot of people out there who
[35:17] Speaker 1: don't either like jay Uso or who just don't feel
[35:20] Speaker 1: like he is someone who should be in the position
[35:23] Speaker 1: that he's in where he's you know, main eventing stuff
[35:26] Speaker 1: on his own right, Been there, done that, And I'm
[35:29] Speaker 1: kind of in the same camp. I'm over it. I
[35:31] Speaker 1: don't hate jay Uso, but he had no business being
[35:33] Speaker 1: in this match. He certainly had no business beating Obafemi
[35:37] Speaker 1: and going on to the main event a summerslim. But
[35:40] Speaker 1: at the same time, I also understand like he's still
[35:42] Speaker 1: super over. He comes out, the people yeat, the kids yeat,
[35:45] Speaker 1: he moves a lot of merch. I get it. He's
[35:47] Speaker 1: part of the bloodline, of course, he's always going to
[35:49] Speaker 1: be in that top mix. You have to expect that
[35:52] Speaker 1: they're gonna give him something here, especially if they're gonna
[35:55] Speaker 1: beat him clean. They're at least going to make him
[35:57] Speaker 1: look strong before then. So it's not the end of
[36:00] Speaker 1: the world. It's not a big deal. The only thing
[36:03] Speaker 1: that matters here is that Oba one. I don't give
[36:08] Speaker 1: a shit that jay Usso. I mean, he could have
[36:10] Speaker 1: had ninety five percent of the match, as stupid as
[36:12] Speaker 1: that would have been the only thing that mattered here.
[36:15] Speaker 1: Who goes over? And at the end, the right man
[36:18] Speaker 1: went over. So that's the thing. Now again my main
[36:22] Speaker 1: issue I mentioned at the top. You could have done
[36:25] Speaker 1: Obafemi and bron Breaker. You could have done Obafemi and
[36:29] Speaker 1: Seth rollins. We know why they didn't because they wanted
[36:31] Speaker 1: to have rollins and break or wrestle each other on
[36:33] Speaker 1: this show. You could have done Obafemi and Royce Keys.
[36:36] Speaker 1: You could have done Obafemi and Javon Evans and you
[36:39] Speaker 1: would have gotten a much better match out of it.
[36:41] Speaker 1: I think that would have been more interesting. I think
[36:44] Speaker 1: we would have gotten a better wrestling match out of it. It
[36:47] Speaker 1: would have been maybe a little more exciting in that way.
[36:50] Speaker 1: So I just think as King of the Ring finals go,
[36:54] Speaker 1: this one was very unremarkable. This one was very underwhelming.
[36:58] Speaker 1: It was a perfectly fine television match that you would
[37:02] Speaker 1: see on any given episode of Raw or SmackDown. But
[37:06] Speaker 1: I would expect a little bit more out of a
[37:08] Speaker 1: pl match. I would expect a little bit more out
[37:10] Speaker 1: of a King of the Ring final, any tournament final.
[37:13] Speaker 1: So that that was my other issue with this. Now,
[37:16] Speaker 1: the announcers, we're wondering which champion is Oba going to
[37:20] Speaker 1: choose for SummerSlam, because you have the choice now, I
[37:24] Speaker 1: don't think they've really done it that way before. We
[37:28] Speaker 1: didn't get our answer. They're gonna make us wait at
[37:30] Speaker 1: least until Monday, if not longer. I would think Monday.
[37:34] Speaker 1: We may well get our answer. On Monday. Roman Rains
[37:36] Speaker 1: is back on the show in Atlantic City on Monday.
[37:39] Speaker 1: Early start time, by the way, six pm to be
[37:42] Speaker 1: er work because they're taping Raw and SmackDown on Monday
[37:46] Speaker 1: to give all the wrestlers off later in the week
[37:48] Speaker 1: for July fourth, So six pm Raw on Netflix. Just
[37:52] Speaker 1: so you're aware, Roman is back on the show. We
[37:55] Speaker 1: may got our answer. Then we may got our first
[37:57] Speaker 1: face to face in the ring between Roman and Noble, which, honestly,
[38:00] Speaker 1: what else is Oba gonna do? You know what I mean?
[38:03] Speaker 1: Like you would think he would show up and confront
[38:05] Speaker 1: Roman reigns, but like to me, there's no mystery to it.
[38:09] Speaker 1: We had Oba in the ring on Raw last week,
[38:11] Speaker 1: pulling the audience. He put both options out there, which
[38:16] Speaker 1: champion should I challenge for SummerSlam after I become king?
[38:19] Speaker 1: And he mentioned should I go after the WWE Championship?
[38:22] Speaker 1: And the reaction was kind of lukewarm, and he said
[38:26] Speaker 1: or and he saved it for last, should I go
[38:29] Speaker 1: after the World Heavyweight Championship? And everybody cheered wildly. So
[38:34] Speaker 1: we know what the fans would like to see him do, right,
[38:37] Speaker 1: We know which champion we we as the fans by
[38:40] Speaker 1: and large, would like to see him go after. But
[38:43] Speaker 1: I also feel like in his promo that he had
[38:44] Speaker 1: with Jay Uso, he made it pretty clear. You know,
[38:47] Speaker 1: he told Jay basically tell your cousin. Right he was,
[38:49] Speaker 1: he was telling us basically who he's going after. So
[38:52] Speaker 1: I think we all know what the answer is. It's
[38:54] Speaker 1: going to be Roman and Oba hopefully at SummerSlam, if
[38:59] Speaker 1: by chance, So he doesn't go after Roman, I would
[39:03] Speaker 1: think Seth Rollins would be the most likely option, because honestly,
[39:07] Speaker 1: if Oba picks Roman, I don't know what Rollin we're
[39:10] Speaker 1: talking about, bron Breaker, I don't know what Rollins does
[39:14] Speaker 1: at SummerSlam. If it's not Rollins and Roman plus Bronson,
[39:18] Speaker 1: Reed is going to be back in the next month,
[39:20] Speaker 1: and they want to do Rollins and Red, which I
[39:22] Speaker 1: feel like we've already done. If he's not wrestling for
[39:25] Speaker 1: the for the World Championship, I don't even know what
[39:28] Speaker 1: he would be doing. It seems to me like there
[39:32] Speaker 1: are a couple of options that seem very likely now
[39:36] Speaker 1: that we know who the King of the Ring is.
[39:40] Speaker 1: This idea has been discussed, and I know we've talked
[39:43] Speaker 1: about it on TNT. I've talked about it on my
[39:45] Speaker 1: end of having Oba wrestle twice, right, having Oba wrestle twice,
[39:51] Speaker 1: And actually, that's a great point in the Chad Zora
[39:53] Speaker 1: makes a very good point. I forgot about that. Seth
[39:58] Speaker 1: and Jacobs a great point I mentioned on Raw and
[40:02] Speaker 1: not this past Monday, but the week before the last
[40:05] Speaker 1: time Roman was on the show. If you remember that
[40:07] Speaker 1: last segment in the back because Jacob had gone out there.
[40:12] Speaker 1: I think he gave La Knight the spike and he
[40:14] Speaker 1: beat up eric Andre and everything, and Roman told him
[40:18] Speaker 1: this one thing left I need you to do. I
[40:21] Speaker 1: remember he whispered something in his ear, and the only
[40:25] Speaker 1: words I could really make out if you're a lip reader,
[40:27] Speaker 1: was kill him. Right, he was talking about someone whoever
[40:30] Speaker 1: it was, kill him? But I thought that I had heard,
[40:34] Speaker 1: like I kind of. I rewatched it and I leaned in,
[40:37] Speaker 1: and I thought before that I heard Roman say the
[40:39] Speaker 1: name Seth Rawlins. It sounded to me like he had
[40:43] Speaker 1: mentioned Seth's name, which I was thinking about, like, all right,
[40:46] Speaker 1: well they're not really actively feuding. Does that even make sense?
[40:50] Speaker 1: But boy, it sure sounded to me like he mentioned
[40:52] Speaker 1: Seth Rollins. So you may be onto something there. If
[40:57] Speaker 1: I was right about that and he was talking about Seth,
[41:00] Speaker 1: then we may see Jacob attacks Seth as early as
[41:02] Speaker 1: Raw on Monday. So that's a good point. Seth and
[41:07] Speaker 1: Jacob could be the match. Are we looking at Oba
[41:10] Speaker 1: wrestling twice at SummerSlam? You got two nights of SummerSlam.
[41:14] Speaker 1: We know Brock and Oba are going to wrestle again
[41:16] Speaker 1: at some point if they want Brock in a match
[41:21] Speaker 1: in Minneapolis, an actual match. The only matches against Oba, Like,
[41:26] Speaker 1: that's it. He's not wrestling Gunther, He's not wrestling anybody
[41:29] Speaker 1: but Oba Femi. If Brocklesna wrestles on that show, do
[41:33] Speaker 1: we get that on one night and do we get
[41:35] Speaker 1: Oba challenging Roman on the other night? Right, seems like
[41:38] Speaker 1: a very realistic possibility. There's another possibility, which is that
[41:45] Speaker 1: we get Oba and Roman and they're not quite ready
[41:48] Speaker 1: to put the championship on Oba yet or take it
[41:50] Speaker 1: off Roman, and they do a finish where Brock doesn't wrestle,
[41:55] Speaker 1: but he shows up at Summer Slam and he costs
[41:59] Speaker 1: Oba Femi the World Heavyweight Championship. We all thought that
[42:02] Speaker 1: he was going to cost him the King of the Ring.
[42:05] Speaker 1: He cost him something even bigger than that. He cost
[42:08] Speaker 1: him the world title, which then allows Oba and Brock
[42:13] Speaker 1: to go off to have their rematch and finish their feud,
[42:16] Speaker 1: and you put off the coronation of Obafemi until Saudi
[42:20] Speaker 1: Mania next year, WrestleMania forty three. That to me, honestly,
[42:23] Speaker 1: that seems like the likeliest scenario as I sit here
[42:27] Speaker 1: right now and I mull all of this over. I
[42:30] Speaker 1: think that there's a very very good possibility of that happening,
[42:34] Speaker 1: which again it's not like we haven't seen that in
[42:36] Speaker 1: years past, where they don't want to crown somebody at SummerSlam,
[42:40] Speaker 1: so they want to hold it off until wrestling. That
[42:42] Speaker 1: was the idea with Luger back in ninety three. He
[42:44] Speaker 1: won in this whole bus tour, the whole summer. Everything
[42:47] Speaker 1: was building to him winning the World Championship from Yokozuna
[42:50] Speaker 1: and he didn't, and he didn't, and then we found
[42:53] Speaker 1: out the stipulation was that you can't challenge for the
[42:56] Speaker 1: title again. He won the rumble to get around that.
[42:59] Speaker 1: But the idea was that Vince didn't want a crown
[43:01] Speaker 1: him at Summer Slim, he wanted to hold off on
[43:03] Speaker 1: it until WrestleMania ten. But shit happened in the meantime
[43:07] Speaker 1: and plans change. Look at Daniel Brian back in twenty thirteen,
[43:10] Speaker 1: he actually did win the belt, lost it the same night,
[43:14] Speaker 1: and as things turned out, he won the championship of WrestleMania.
[43:17] Speaker 1: So it's not like we haven't seen this sort of
[43:19] Speaker 1: thing before. So I think those are the options that
[43:23] Speaker 1: we're looking at right now. But I can't see Oba.
[43:27] Speaker 1: I can't see Oba picking anybody, but Roman reigns. Just
[43:30] Speaker 1: based on what we saw and heard from him on
[43:33] Speaker 1: Monday night, that would seem to be the direction here.
[43:37] Speaker 1: This week's episode is sponsored by Wicks. It can be

[44:52] Speaker 1: com slash harmony. That's wix dot com slash harmony. Now,
[44:57] Speaker 1: after a four minute break, we were to have the
[45:00] Speaker 1: finals of the Queen of the Ring with the Women's
[45:03] Speaker 1: World Champion, Live Morgan taking on EO sky Boy. They
[45:07] Speaker 1: were really running through these finals, weren't they. They wanted
[45:10] Speaker 1: to fit everything in that first hour on ESPN and
[45:12] Speaker 1: just be done with this stuff, which I guess I
[45:15] Speaker 1: can understand. You know, you kind of do this. You
[45:17] Speaker 1: front load it with the King and Queen of the
[45:20] Speaker 1: Ring stuff, pad it in the middle, and then you
[45:24] Speaker 1: close with the WWE Championship, So I guess that kind
[45:27] Speaker 1: of makes sense. But instead, before any of the women
[45:31] Speaker 1: can come out, we had Dan Housen, who is not
[45:34] Speaker 1: a woman, at least not to my knowledge. But he
[45:36] Speaker 1: came out on stage and he said hello to rehot Housen. Right,
[45:41] Speaker 1: is that what he said, reh hot Housen, Rehothausen. I
[45:44] Speaker 1: don't know what he's said. He said, he's recently come
[45:47] Speaker 1: into a large amount of human monies. But before he
[45:52] Speaker 1: could continue, Live Morgan made her entrance for the next match,
[45:56] Speaker 1: and she stopped on stage and she confronted Dan and said,
[46:00] Speaker 1: speaking of money, you owe the judgment day a whole
[46:03] Speaker 1: lot of money, and if you don't give it back,
[46:05] Speaker 1: a lot of bad things are going to happen to you.
[46:08] Speaker 1: So Dan Housen said, I I have no idea what
[46:10] Speaker 1: you're talking about, and then he placed a curse, placed
[46:16] Speaker 1: a curse on liv Morgan, and so Live smacked the
[46:20] Speaker 1: shit out of him and then continued on with her entrance.
[46:22] Speaker 1: So before EO Sky even came out, before EO Sky
[46:26] Speaker 1: even made her way to the ring, she already won
[46:29] Speaker 1: Queen of the Ring. We already knew how this was
[46:32] Speaker 1: going to end. They gave away the finish. EO tried
[46:39] Speaker 1: for a sunset flip power bomb to the floor early
[46:42] Speaker 1: on Live blocked it and on the floor EO came
[46:45] Speaker 1: off the barricade with a crossbody and she was celebrating,
[46:48] Speaker 1: but Live sent her headfirst into the ring post. Morgan
[46:53] Speaker 1: went for a Boston craw. Actually before that, Live she
[46:56] Speaker 1: hit the three Amigos and then uh An inzugary to
[46:59] Speaker 1: the back of the ahead. When EO was trying to
[47:02] Speaker 1: get up, got to get that three Amigo's reference in there,
[47:06] Speaker 1: Morgan went for a Boston crab. She leaned too far back, though,
[47:09] Speaker 1: and EO rolled through and she jumped up gave her
[47:12] Speaker 1: a standing double stump. EO came off the top rope
[47:16] Speaker 1: with a missile dropkick. Live was able to escape a
[47:19] Speaker 1: double underhook into a backstabber EO. They'll rolled out to
[47:23] Speaker 1: the floor, so Live went for a dive. EO cut
[47:25] Speaker 1: her off with a forearm and EO hit a springboard
[47:27] Speaker 1: moon salt to the floor. Back inside, eodroped Lived with
[47:30] Speaker 1: a double underhook into a backbreaker for a near fall.
[47:34] Speaker 1: She went to the top. She was setting up with
[47:36] Speaker 1: a big moon salt, but she had her back turned
[47:40] Speaker 1: to Live and so Liv was able to shove her
[47:42] Speaker 1: off and EO landed on the steps. Now she landed
[47:45] Speaker 1: perfectly on the steps right. She didn't land in her leg,
[47:48] Speaker 1: bend or anything right, but she was supposed to sell that.
[47:51] Speaker 1: She tweaked her knee. It didn't look like anything at all,
[47:54] Speaker 1: but she had to sell it that way. So she's
[47:56] Speaker 1: laying on the floor outside and she's writhing around now
[48:00] Speaker 1: in pain, and Live of course hones in on that
[48:07] Speaker 1: like a shark tasting blood, and she goes in and
[48:11] Speaker 1: she starts to work over the knee. She locked in
[48:13] Speaker 1: a half crab, same way that she did when she
[48:16] Speaker 1: beat Charlotte Flair to advance in the Queen of the Ring.
[48:20] Speaker 1: Eo tried to get to the ropes. Live, though dragged
[48:22] Speaker 1: her back to the center of the ring. Eo escaped
[48:24] Speaker 1: Live hit a codebreaker out of what at first looked
[48:28] Speaker 1: like an attempt at an Oblivion Morgan, though did go
[48:31] Speaker 1: for oblivion. Eo avoided it. The liv got caught up
[48:34] Speaker 1: in the ropes. Eo went for a dive off the
[48:37] Speaker 1: middle rope. She missed again. She jammed her knee Live
[48:42] Speaker 1: in an Eo. They were fighting up top. Eo landed
[48:46] Speaker 1: a top rope Spanish fly before racing back up to
[48:49] Speaker 1: the top to hit her over the moon salt to
[48:51] Speaker 1: win the match and the crown, and after Nick All
[48:55] Speaker 1: this presented EO with her crown Byron Saxton got in
[48:58] Speaker 1: the ring and asked her, how does it feel it'll
[49:00] Speaker 1: be the twenty twenty six Queen of the Ring and
[49:04] Speaker 1: she said, yes, I am the Queen. And then she
[49:09] Speaker 1: said live. Who is sitting in the aisle licking her wound?
[49:12] Speaker 1: She goes, live, I'll see you at SummerSlam. She didn't
[49:18] Speaker 1: need She was like, I ain't going to SmackDown. I
[49:20] Speaker 1: don't want to have anything to do with SmackDown. I'm
[49:22] Speaker 1: perfectly content where I am on Raw. Don't send me
[49:25] Speaker 1: over there. I'm staying put. She didn't need any time
[49:28] Speaker 1: to make her decision. I don't blame her. She wanted
[49:29] Speaker 1: nothing to do with SmackDown. She said, the hell with that.
[49:34] Speaker 1: I thought the match itself, I thought the match itself
[49:37] Speaker 1: was solid. I thought this was a better match than
[49:39] Speaker 1: Oba and Jay easily, and not just because it was
[49:42] Speaker 1: twice as long. I actually think it didn't need to
[49:44] Speaker 1: go as long as it did. It was kind of
[49:45] Speaker 1: dragging a little bit, but they had the better match.
[49:48] Speaker 1: This was a better match than Oba and Jay had.
[49:51] Speaker 1: But neither of these finals. Again, that's My issue with it.
[49:54] Speaker 1: Neither of these finals rose to the level of anything
[49:58] Speaker 1: truly memorable or that you would look back on and go, man,
[50:01] Speaker 1: that was a great like, what a great match to
[50:04] Speaker 1: pay off this tournament. Unfortunately this year we didn't get that.
[50:07] Speaker 1: We got that with Gunther and Randy a few years ago,
[50:11] Speaker 1: we didn't get that this year with either one. And
[50:13] Speaker 1: the crowd was very flat again outside for some of
[50:16] Speaker 1: the stuff that EO was doing in the finish, they
[50:18] Speaker 1: were very flat for this. Doing the Dan Housen bit
[50:22] Speaker 1: right before this. I know they think that that's cute
[50:24] Speaker 1: and everything. It does give the finish away, though. I mean, look,
[50:28] Speaker 1: anybody with a brain who's been following this week to week,
[50:33] Speaker 1: you had no reason to believe that liv Morgan was
[50:35] Speaker 1: going to win this tournament. Okay, there was a very
[50:37] Speaker 1: low probability to begin with that Live was gonna win.
[50:40] Speaker 1: I think EO was the safe choice. But once they
[50:43] Speaker 1: did that bit you know before the match, that just,
[50:46] Speaker 1: you know, kind of gave the store away right there.
[50:48] Speaker 1: The other thing also that I thought was weird and
[50:50] Speaker 1: I didn't like they spent the latter part of the
[50:54] Speaker 1: match after she tweaked her knee EO is screaming and selling,
[50:58] Speaker 1: and Live is working it over, and she's got the
[51:00] Speaker 1: half crab like she's fucking landstorm and she's trying to
[51:06] Speaker 1: sell this knee injury. But then she hits the top rope,
[51:08] Speaker 1: you know, she hits this avalanche Spanish fly, lands on
[51:12] Speaker 1: her knees, by the way flat. When she does, immediately
[51:15] Speaker 1: gets back up, races back to the top rope and
[51:17] Speaker 1: hits her moonsaw again, landing on her knees, And I'm like, Okay,
[51:22] Speaker 1: well that was kind of dumb. I mean, if you're
[51:24] Speaker 1: gonna have her all of a sudden start selling the
[51:26] Speaker 1: leg and then the last two big spots of the
[51:29] Speaker 1: match just totally no sells it. So that's my little
[51:33] Speaker 1: minor nitpick of that. But EO choosing Lived, to me,
[51:36] Speaker 1: that was the expected decision. I'm surprised that there were people.
[51:40] Speaker 1: I got some replies and mentions about this from people.
[51:44] Speaker 1: Do you wish that she would have picked Rhea? And
[51:45] Speaker 1: I just kind of look at it and I go,
[51:48] Speaker 1: you can make sense of it by saying that Ria
[51:51] Speaker 1: has never been able to be EO. They still have
[51:54] Speaker 1: that story at some point they have to explore. At
[51:56] Speaker 1: some point Rhea has to get her win over Eo,
[52:00] Speaker 1: maybe at WrestleMania one day. So if you want to
[52:04] Speaker 1: look at it from that perspective, EO could go, Rhea,
[52:07] Speaker 1: I love you, but I want a challenge for your
[52:10] Speaker 1: championship because you've never beaten me. I guess you can
[52:15] Speaker 1: make sense of it that way, but I just look
[52:16] Speaker 1: at it and go. These two have been portrayed as
[52:18] Speaker 1: like the best of friends right on television, what a
[52:23] Speaker 1: shitty friend. If Leo was to pick Ria, Like why
[52:26] Speaker 1: would she pick Ria? That just never made any sense
[52:30] Speaker 1: to me. And also I just figured they don't want
[52:32] Speaker 1: them back on the same show. So it always felt
[52:35] Speaker 1: to me like, if Leo actually pulls this out, she's
[52:38] Speaker 1: just gonna have a rematch with Live. If she beat
[52:40] Speaker 1: her once, I could beat you again, right, and then
[52:41] Speaker 1: she'll she'll challenge for the World Championship at Summer Slim.
[52:45] Speaker 1: So I think that's the right move. We don't even
[52:47] Speaker 1: know what Rihea's status is going to be. They're talking
[52:49] Speaker 1: about her on television like she's going to be there
[52:51] Speaker 1: at Summer Slim. I don't even know if they know.
[52:54] Speaker 1: Last we heard a couple of weeks ago on TV
[52:56] Speaker 1: they said that she was undergoing treatment and they were
[52:58] Speaker 1: waiting to see if the treatment worked. We don't even
[53:01] Speaker 1: know what the injury is. It's fifty to fifty right now,
[53:04] Speaker 1: right down the middle. Nobody knows. Rhea Ripley may wrestle
[53:07] Speaker 1: at SummerSlam. She may not wrestle at SummerSlam, but I
[53:10] Speaker 1: don't think that even factored into this. Even if she's
[53:13] Speaker 1: one hundred percent healthy, I never really felt like that
[53:16] Speaker 1: was going to be the match to do. What does
[53:19] Speaker 1: this mean for Live in the judgment day? Is she
[53:22] Speaker 1: going to be upset that Raquel and Roxanne weren't there
[53:26] Speaker 1: to help her and support her. I think that's very likely.
[53:31] Speaker 1: Is she actually going to defend her championship at SummerSlam?
[53:36] Speaker 1: Is she going to defend her championship before SummerSlam? I mean,
[53:40] Speaker 1: we have to expect that Live will still be championed
[53:42] Speaker 1: by SummerSlam. I mean that seems pretty likely. But is
[53:45] Speaker 1: she going to defend her title a little all before SummerSlam?
[53:48] Speaker 1: Live Morgan has been the champion since WrestleMania. We are
[53:51] Speaker 1: looking at a situation where it is entirely possible that
[53:54] Speaker 1: by the time we get to SummerSlam, liv Morgan will
[53:57] Speaker 1: have been champions since WrestleMania without a single title defense,
[54:02] Speaker 1: which is completely preposterous. Like that is so unbelievably stupid.
[54:08] Speaker 1: I don't even know where to begin. Stephanie Vicaire gets hurt,
[54:12] Speaker 1: she disappears, everything falls apart. Oh my god, we have
[54:16] Speaker 1: we have nobody for Live Morgan to wrestle. We'll just
[54:18] Speaker 1: have her keep the belt warm for a few months.
[54:20] Speaker 1: What is that stretch? April to August? Right one? Two?
[54:23] Speaker 1: Four months of no title defense is good job. She
[54:26] Speaker 1: may well end up beating the Jade Cargill record. I
[54:29] Speaker 1: think Jade went a little over one hundred days without
[54:33] Speaker 1: defending her championship. Exciting stuff. Let me tell you, boy,
[54:37] Speaker 1: that sure is riveting stuff. You know, for a company
[54:41] Speaker 1: that has all these plees and they have hours of
[54:43] Speaker 1: weekly television every single week, and you have a champion
[54:47] Speaker 1: who's probably going to go four months without a single
[54:49] Speaker 1: title defense, that's really exciting stuff. Good job. And then
[54:55] Speaker 1: Stephanie Vicaire, I don't know how she may factor into things.
[54:59] Speaker 1: We may get staf Deephanie back on television very soon.
[55:01] Speaker 1: Maybe Stephanie is going to be added to this. You know,
[55:04] Speaker 1: I mentioned last week the possibility that maybe they can
[55:07] Speaker 1: somehow work themselves into a situation where it's not one
[55:10] Speaker 1: on one. Maybe it's a triple threat match at Summer
[55:13] Speaker 1: Slim if they can get Stephanie back. I don't know
[55:15] Speaker 1: what's going on with Stephanie. I know she was hurt.
[55:17] Speaker 1: She's got to be okay by now. I mean, is
[55:19] Speaker 1: she the victim of visa issues? We've heard rumors of
[55:22] Speaker 1: certain talents being affected by visa issues. We don't know,
[55:27] Speaker 1: we don't know. It's like the Ilia Dragon off thing,
[55:29] Speaker 1: Like he just completely vanished from television, vanished. I have
[55:37] Speaker 1: to assume there's a reason for that, and I don't
[55:39] Speaker 1: believe it's injury related. Again, maybe he's the victim of
[55:43] Speaker 1: visa issues as well. The way some people just kind
[55:46] Speaker 1: of dropped off the face of the earth and they
[55:48] Speaker 1: haven't even been mentioned or used in any capacity on television,
[55:54] Speaker 1: there's clearly something else going on here. And so ended
[56:00] Speaker 1: the ESPN portion of this of this broadcast, and after
[56:06] Speaker 1: several minutes of commercials and bullshit, it was finally time
[56:10] Speaker 1: for another wrestling match, a steel cage match between Seth
[56:14] Speaker 1: Rollins and bron Breaker, and what we were told was
[56:16] Speaker 1: only bron Breaker's second cage match, the second steel cage
[56:20] Speaker 1: match that bron Breaker has ever been in. What happened
[56:25] Speaker 1: to Jordan Well, Jordan Grace, that's that. I don't think
[56:29] Speaker 1: that's a visa issue. Was she was she Canadian? I
[56:34] Speaker 1: don't know. Is Jordan Grace Canadian? Who knows? Maybe there
[56:40] Speaker 1: is a visa issue with her. I don't know. I
[56:43] Speaker 1: know she's been trying to get her pilot's license and
[56:45] Speaker 1: she just got she just got informed that she's not
[56:48] Speaker 1: going to be able to get it because they found
[56:50] Speaker 1: out she has ADHD. So now she has to jump
[56:53] Speaker 1: through all kinds of bureaucratic hoops and she has to
[56:58] Speaker 1: pay out of her own pocket thousands of dolls, like
[57:01] Speaker 1: at least five thousand dollars or more for some sort
[57:04] Speaker 1: of test and it's a whole thing. But I'm like,
[57:08] Speaker 1: she's really like seriously into all that. I'm like, is
[57:12] Speaker 1: she gonna be wrestling anymore? She'd been wrestling on main event,
[57:15] Speaker 1: they just haven't been using her on TV. So yeah,
[57:20] Speaker 1: I imagine there's no visa issue with Jordan Grace if
[57:24] Speaker 1: she's wrestling on main event. That one. I can't explain
[57:27] Speaker 1: why she hasn't been on television like on SmackDown. I
[57:29] Speaker 1: have no fucking idea. I have no good answer for you,
[57:33] Speaker 1: none whatsoever. Shift her over to Raw. At least that'll
[57:37] Speaker 1: give liv Morgan somebody to work with. It's too late now.
[57:42] Speaker 1: So the first thing that Rollins did when he came
[57:44] Speaker 1: down was he tossed a bunch of kendo sticks and
[57:47] Speaker 1: assorted weapons into the cage. You know what the biggest
[57:50] Speaker 1: shock to me was this might have been the biggest
[57:53] Speaker 1: shock on the entire show. The tables, the tables that
[57:58] Speaker 1: were in the ring in the cage. No slim Gym logo.
[58:03] Speaker 1: I was amazed by this. No slim Gem tables on
[58:08] Speaker 1: this show. It makes me wonder maybe Slimjym paused their
[58:13] Speaker 1: sponsorship again with all these rumors that have been going
[58:16] Speaker 1: around about Vince McMahon and maybe he'll come back to WWE,
[58:19] Speaker 1: they're preemptively pausing their sponsorship to make sure that doesn't happen.
[58:23] Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know, but there were no
[58:24] Speaker 1: slim Gym tables. So Breaker came out. He did the
[58:27] Speaker 1: same thing when he entered. He went under the ring
[58:29] Speaker 1: for all the toys, the chairs, and the cando sticks
[58:32] Speaker 1: and a garbage can, and he brought it in the
[58:34] Speaker 1: ring with him. They started the match. They were each
[58:37] Speaker 1: sitting down facing each other from across the ring in
[58:40] Speaker 1: a chair and Rollins was talking all kinds of shit.
[58:44] Speaker 1: Then they rose to their feet and they started throwing hands.
[58:47] Speaker 1: I thought the first half of this match was very boring.
[58:51] Speaker 1: It was slow, it was plotting, There wasn't a whole
[58:53] Speaker 1: lot going on. My issue with it was that sense
[58:56] Speaker 1: of urgency and anger. This is supposed to be a
[59:00] Speaker 1: grudge match. These men have been feuding for months. It
[59:03] Speaker 1: all goes back to last year when Rollins got kicked
[59:06] Speaker 1: out of the Vision and then recently Seth. Rollins bounced
[59:12] Speaker 1: out of the King of the Ring tournament, loses his
[59:14] Speaker 1: opportunity potentially to challenge for a world championship at Summer
[59:17] Speaker 1: Slim because a bron Breaker. Seth turns around he cost
[59:22] Speaker 1: bron Breaker the tag team titles with Austin theory, there's
[59:25] Speaker 1: a lot of bad blood between these two men and
[59:28] Speaker 1: they're just having a boring wrestling match with a bunch
[59:31] Speaker 1: of random weapons inside the cage, and I'm like, well,
[59:33] Speaker 1: this is fucking boring. So to me, that was the
[59:37] Speaker 1: story of the first half of this match. I didn't
[59:39] Speaker 1: get the sense that these two men were in some
[59:41] Speaker 1: sort of blood feud with each other. Rollins tried to
[59:44] Speaker 1: bury Breaker's funny. I wrote that subconsciously, maybe he tried
[59:51] Speaker 1: to bury Breaker in a pile of chairs and he
[59:53] Speaker 1: went to the top. Breaker though, cut Rollins off, and
[59:57] Speaker 1: Rollin shoved him down. Breaker though, he ran right back
[1:00:00] Speaker 1: up the ropes and he hit a Brakensteiner. Picture perfect too,
[1:00:05] Speaker 1: because Rolins went flying and he landed perfectly right on
[1:00:08] Speaker 1: the pile of chairs. I thought that looked good. This
[1:00:11] Speaker 1: is where the match finally started to really pick up.
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: Breaker told Rollins, you're gonna die. He yelled at him
[1:00:18] Speaker 1: multiple times. You're gonna die. Tell me what song that's from.
[1:00:28] Speaker 1: Welcome to the Jungle, Baby, Welcome to the Jungle. You're
[1:00:32] Speaker 1: gonna die. So, in fact, seth Rollins did not die,
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: although bron Breaker's career may have died depending on where
[1:00:40] Speaker 1: they go with him coming out of the show. So
[1:00:43] Speaker 1: Breaker he tells him this. He wedges Rollin's head between
[1:00:48] Speaker 1: a chair and he took a golf swing with another chair,
[1:00:52] Speaker 1: but Rollins had gotten out of the way in time.
[1:00:54] Speaker 1: Rolin super kicked the chair into Breaker's head. Then he
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: charged at and Breaker just mauled him though with spear
[1:01:01] Speaker 1: for a near fall. If I mentioned it before, the
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: rules for this match pinfall, submission, and escape the cage.
[1:01:07] Speaker 1: You can win by any of those methods. So Breaker
[1:01:10] Speaker 1: set Rollins up on a table. He climbed to the
[1:01:12] Speaker 1: top rope. He looked down, then he looks up and
[1:01:15] Speaker 1: he says, eh, I'm going to go to the top here.
[1:01:17] Speaker 1: So he climbs to the very top of his cage.
[1:01:21] Speaker 1: Rollins follows him up there. They're both sitting up there,
[1:01:23] Speaker 1: yay boo, back and forth. Rollins rakes his eyes and
[1:01:27] Speaker 1: then he superplexes Breaker from the top of the cage.
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: Now he wasn't standing on top of the cage. I
[1:01:36] Speaker 1: have to just clarify that, because that would be insane.
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: Rollins was standing on the ropes. Breaker was kind of
[1:01:42] Speaker 1: draped over the cage. And it's still very impressive and
[1:01:45] Speaker 1: still very dangerous, but he superplexed him off the top
[1:01:49] Speaker 1: of the cage down through the table. Somewhere in all
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: of this, and I did not see how it happened.
[1:01:54] Speaker 1: It may have been as simple as him getting because
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: I think Rollins had a cut on his unless that
[1:01:59] Speaker 1: was bronze blood may have been. He had a little
[1:02:01] Speaker 1: bit of blood on his back, like over his shoulder blade.
[1:02:04] Speaker 1: But Breaker, somehow in all of this, and I don't
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: know if it was again on the spot or right
[1:02:10] Speaker 1: before the spot, he got busted open by his eye
[1:02:16] Speaker 1: and was bleeding quite a bit. And so he was
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: wearing I would say, half of a Crimson mask. He
[1:02:22] Speaker 1: looked two faced. One half of his face was fine,
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: the other half of his face was drenched in blood.
[1:02:30] Speaker 1: Rollins went for a stomp, but he charged right into
[1:02:33] Speaker 1: a hard lariat instead. Breaker then hit the ropes a
[1:02:35] Speaker 1: few times. He cut Rollin's down with a spear. Even still,
[1:02:38] Speaker 1: Rollins kicked out it too. So Breaker headed for the door,
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: and I just thought, boy, somewhere Jesse Ventura, who I
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: would bet my life, was not watching this show. But
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: all of a sudden, his ears started ringing. Somebody's trying
[1:02:50] Speaker 1: to escape through the door. He was trying to get out,
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: Rollins grabbed his foot to prevent him from exiting. Rollin's
[1:02:56] Speaker 1: drag Breaker back. He kind of had him in the rope.
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: He was pulling back on his head in such a
[1:03:01] Speaker 1: way where he was using the ropes to basically kind
[1:03:04] Speaker 1: of choke him, and he was talking all kinds of shit,
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: and Breaker just reaches out and grabs the door, the
[1:03:10] Speaker 1: Messha door, and just pulls it forward and rams Rollins
[1:03:13] Speaker 1: right in the head with the cage door. So Breaker
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: sets up for a spear in the corner. Rollins moves
[1:03:20] Speaker 1: out of the way at the last minute, and Breaker
[1:03:23] Speaker 1: crashes through a table that was set up in the corner.
[1:03:27] Speaker 1: Then Rollins had a pedigree and then a stomp, and
[1:03:31] Speaker 1: they had me. I thought that was it. I thought
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: that that was the end of the match. Breaker kicked out,
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: and this is what I mean when I mentioned earlier
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: that even though he lost, they did certain things in
[1:03:44] Speaker 1: this match to keep him strong, to portray him in
[1:03:48] Speaker 1: a very strong way. I thought the match was over
[1:03:50] Speaker 1: at that point, and he kicked out. Rollin set up
[1:03:54] Speaker 1: for another stomp Breaker though, who was on his knees.
[1:03:56] Speaker 1: He put his hand up and Rollin's stopped in his tracks.
[1:04:03] Speaker 1: And this was a little awkward. I'm like, why is
[1:04:06] Speaker 1: Rollin's waiting to see what he's going to do. Just
[1:04:09] Speaker 1: fucking kill this man. Just end this and Breaker is
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: I thought Breaker was gonna do one of those things
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: where it's like he kind of accepts his fate, kind
[1:04:18] Speaker 1: of like the the Malachi Black thing in his last
[1:04:20] Speaker 1: match in ab or what I think was his last
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: match in aw with was it Coal? Was it Adam Cole?
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: Might have been Adam Cole where it's sort of like
[1:04:28] Speaker 1: you accept your fate, do what you gotta do, But
[1:04:30] Speaker 1: that's not really what it was. Instead, he was taking
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: a moment and then all of a sudden, he starts
[1:04:35] Speaker 1: psyching himself up and he's getting back to his feet.
[1:04:39] Speaker 1: He gets back to his feet, he's kind of hunched over.
[1:04:41] Speaker 1: It's pretty clear what they're setting up for here. Rollins
[1:04:44] Speaker 1: comes off the middle rope with like kind of a
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: super stomp. I guess a super stomp would be from
[1:04:48] Speaker 1: the top rope. This was kind of sort of a
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: super stomp, but he he stomped him out and that
[1:04:55] Speaker 1: got him the three count. It started off slow, picked
[1:05:00] Speaker 1: up very well there towards the end. The blood added
[1:05:02] Speaker 1: a lot to this, it really did. Blood in a
[1:05:06] Speaker 1: cage match is always welcome, Like blood in a cage match.
[1:05:09] Speaker 1: There should be blood in a cage match, whether it's
[1:05:12] Speaker 1: steel cage. Helling to sell war games blood and guts.
[1:05:16] Speaker 1: The word blood is literally in the name. Blood is
[1:05:19] Speaker 1: appropriate in matches like that, right within reason. Obviously, we're
[1:05:23] Speaker 1: gonna get buckets of it tomorrow night. You're gonna have
[1:05:26] Speaker 1: twelve men in one cage. I can only imagine it's
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: gonna be a fucking blood bath tomorrow night. It worked here, though,
[1:05:33] Speaker 1: It was effective here because we don't get to see
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: it very often in WWE. And I don't mean like
[1:05:37] Speaker 1: a trickle of blood. Like again, half his face was
[1:05:40] Speaker 1: like caked in blood here, and it just added to it.
[1:05:43] Speaker 1: It added so much more. Even if it was incidental
[1:05:46] Speaker 1: and it was not intentional, the blood, I think really
[1:05:49] Speaker 1: added something that it would not have had without it.
[1:05:52] Speaker 1: Rollin's winning a questionable decision, not an unexpected one, questionable,
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: and that he came into this saying that this is
[1:06:01] Speaker 1: the match that would test what bron Breaker can really do.
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: And then Breaker goes in there and he loses. Now
[1:06:10] Speaker 1: you could say that he looks strong in defeat, and
[1:06:12] Speaker 1: it took a lot to put him down, right, It
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: took a superstomp at the end, but still he lost.
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: He came in talking a lot of shit, just like Rollins,
[1:06:19] Speaker 1: and he wasn't able to back it up, and that's
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: gonna hurt It's not gonna bury him, but it's gonna
[1:06:24] Speaker 1: it's gonna hurt him. The key is in the follow up.
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: If he shows up on rawn Monday night, he's a
[1:06:30] Speaker 1: man possessed, or maybe they begin some sort of angle
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: where he's he's having a falling out with the Vision.
[1:06:35] Speaker 1: He can't be controlled. Hayman hasn't been there. Hayman, you know,
[1:06:39] Speaker 1: is not there to control him. Like there are ways
[1:06:42] Speaker 1: that they could coming out of this kind of build
[1:06:46] Speaker 1: him up as this unstoppable force who you know. This
[1:06:51] Speaker 1: loss just sets something off within him. But I feel
[1:06:54] Speaker 1: like I have deja vu as I sit here and
[1:06:56] Speaker 1: I say this, I'm trying to think what I feel
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: like I had said something similar. Maybe it was after
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: he lost the Punk at the beginning of the year
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: and they didn't do what I was hoping they would do.
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: I don't have a lot of faith they're gonna do
[1:07:12] Speaker 1: it now either, But I think it's something that they
[1:07:14] Speaker 1: need to because otherwise, if he just kind of goes
[1:07:16] Speaker 1: back and falls in line with the other remaining members
[1:07:19] Speaker 1: of the Vision, whoever's left, what does he do? You
[1:07:23] Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like, he only ended up as
[1:07:24] Speaker 1: one half of the Tag Team champions because Logan Paul
[1:07:26] Speaker 1: got hurt and he didn't need the tag team titles,
[1:07:30] Speaker 1: which he doesn't have now anyway, you know, I mean,
[1:07:34] Speaker 1: do you want to build something with him in Penta
[1:07:38] Speaker 1: for the Intercontinental title? You could, but I don't like
[1:07:41] Speaker 1: that idea because Chad Gable should be the one challenging
[1:07:44] Speaker 1: Penta for the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslim, not bron Breaker.
[1:07:50] Speaker 1: If it's a matter of you can only pick one
[1:07:52] Speaker 1: or the other, I'm going with Chad Gable. So if
[1:07:54] Speaker 1: he's not wrestling for the world title, he's not wrestling
[1:07:56] Speaker 1: for the Intercontinental title. Half the fucking group that he's
[1:08:00] Speaker 1: a part of is injured. He just lost the feud
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: to Rollins. I don't know where you go with bron
[1:08:07] Speaker 1: Breaker other than just again, let him just fucking snap
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: and just start wrecking shit and you can figure it out,
[1:08:15] Speaker 1: like what that next move is going to be. I
[1:08:17] Speaker 1: look at this and my feeling is that a baby
[1:08:20] Speaker 1: face turn and a split from the Vision is what
[1:08:23] Speaker 1: this guy needs. The Vision is a dead faction. I mean,
[1:08:25] Speaker 1: I don't care if Paul Hayman is with them or not,
[1:08:27] Speaker 1: I don't give a shit. The Vision sucks. The Vision
[1:08:30] Speaker 1: is a terrible group. The Vision is a dead end
[1:08:33] Speaker 1: for bron Breaker. Bron Breaker I feel like is actually
[1:08:35] Speaker 1: less over now than he was at the beginning of
[1:08:38] Speaker 1: the year. I don't really see how it's benefited him.
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: So I think transitioning him into a babyface turn tweeener,
[1:08:46] Speaker 1: you know whatever you want to call it, that to me,
[1:08:48] Speaker 1: that's the only way to go. How they go about
[1:08:51] Speaker 1: doing it, I don't know, but I think that's what
[1:08:54] Speaker 1: he's gonna need. That'll take the sting away from him
[1:08:58] Speaker 1: losing this feud. I say that a lot about like
[1:09:01] Speaker 1: any turn. If there's somebody who's about to turn turn,
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: he'l let's say, turn babyface. If they just lost a
[1:09:10] Speaker 1: big match, but you know you're gonna turn them, the
[1:09:12] Speaker 1: loss doesn't matter, right, Turning can cure all ills in
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: that regard. He just lost the blowoff to seth rollins.
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: If he's gonna turn or have some sort of fallout
[1:09:23] Speaker 1: with the Vision, and then who knows, maybe he can
[1:09:26] Speaker 1: fude with Bronton Reid. When Reid comes back, then this
[1:09:30] Speaker 1: will be forgotten and he'll be better off for it.
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: But we look at Summer Slim in Minneapolis. I don't
[1:09:38] Speaker 1: know what he would be doing on that show. I
[1:09:40] Speaker 1: honestly don't know. I don't know. But if Rollins is
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: gonna be challenging Roman Reigns for the World Championship, then
[1:09:47] Speaker 1: this was the right decision to make. If Rollins is
[1:09:49] Speaker 1: not challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslim, then
[1:09:53] Speaker 1: I think this was a very dumb decision and bron
[1:09:55] Speaker 1: Breaker should have won this match. I can't answer that
[1:09:59] Speaker 1: question though, hundred percent, until I know what the direction
[1:10:01] Speaker 1: is going to be with Rollins. But he finally puts
[1:10:06] Speaker 1: the Vision in the rear view. Thank god, thank god,
[1:10:09] Speaker 1: We're done. We're done. We're done with Rollins and the Vision.
[1:10:15] Speaker 1: The MFTs just broke up. It feels to me like
[1:10:17] Speaker 1: the world is healing, right, don't you get that feeling?
[1:10:20] Speaker 1: The world is healing? Bit by bit, Trick Williams with
[1:10:26] Speaker 1: Lil Yachti defending the United States Championship against Ricky Saints.
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: Saints jumped Trick before the bell on the floor. He
[1:10:36] Speaker 1: went over to Lil Yachti. He grabbed his kendo stick,
[1:10:39] Speaker 1: grabbed it away from him. The referee's back was turned
[1:10:43] Speaker 1: and Saints smacked the ring steps with the kendo stick
[1:10:47] Speaker 1: and then he dropped to the ground. So when the
[1:10:50] Speaker 1: referee turned around, right the old Eddy Guerrero spot. So
[1:10:53] Speaker 1: when the referee turned around, he thought that it was
[1:10:56] Speaker 1: Lil Yachti who had attacked Ricky with kendo stick, and
[1:10:59] Speaker 1: he ejected, Lil YACHTI, see this is the smart man,
[1:11:03] Speaker 1: is Ricky Saints? Tricky Ricky a smart heel and then
[1:11:10] Speaker 1: Ricky spent the majority of the match on offense, which
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: was a big mistake. He spent the majority of the
[1:11:16] Speaker 1: match in control. Trick was selling. This was not very exciting.
[1:11:20] Speaker 1: The crowd was dead. They were dead dead for the
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: majority of this match. Later on, Saints avoided a trick
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: shot knee He caught Williams with a tornado DDT. Saints
[1:11:33] Speaker 1: came off the top with an elbow for a near fall.
[1:11:36] Speaker 1: He countered out of a book end. He hit a
[1:11:38] Speaker 1: knee strike Trick, then ducked a clothesline finally hit the
[1:11:42] Speaker 1: trick shot out of nowhere for the pin to retain
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: the title. After the match, Ricky tried to attack Trick
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: from behind. Lil Yachti though, suddenly reappeared in the ring
[1:11:51] Speaker 1: and he had his kendo stick with him and Williams
[1:11:54] Speaker 1: ended up dropping Ricky with a backhand, and then he
[1:11:58] Speaker 1: had YACHTI hit this great value version of a people's elbow.
[1:12:05] Speaker 1: It's no Snoop Dogg. I'll say that the match was mid.
[1:12:11] Speaker 1: The match was mid. I thought the work here from
[1:12:14] Speaker 1: Ricky was solid. I just don't understand the decision to
[1:12:17] Speaker 1: have him take eighty percent of the match like that.
[1:12:21] Speaker 1: You know, he was the heel who was talking a
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: lot of smack and doing all this stuff heading into
[1:12:25] Speaker 1: this match. It should have been a little more even,
[1:12:27] Speaker 1: and they just opted to go like all Ricky have
[1:12:30] Speaker 1: tricks selling and then Boom hit his finish out of nowhere,
[1:12:34] Speaker 1: and that didn't help get It made for a very
[1:12:37] Speaker 1: boring match. I felt bad for these guys watching this,
[1:12:39] Speaker 1: though they weren't doing anything wrong. Trick didn't really do
[1:12:43] Speaker 1: much in this match. Again, he was mostly selling. He
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: did his usual stuff. He didn't do anything to really
[1:12:48] Speaker 1: impress me here. Ricky, I thought, again his work was solid,
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: But I felt bad for them watching this because you've
[1:12:56] Speaker 1: heard me mention the crowd a few times here in
[1:12:57] Speaker 1: this review. This was not just the problem in there.
[1:13:00] Speaker 1: It was a problem and a lot of other matches
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: on the show as well where the crowd was just
[1:13:04] Speaker 1: not reacting to anything. But this is the point in
[1:13:08] Speaker 1: the show where they were as quiet as they were
[1:13:13] Speaker 1: all night. It felt like I was watching those pandemic
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: error shows in the empty performance center, like that's how
[1:13:21] Speaker 1: quiet it was, And I just felt bad for them.
[1:13:24] Speaker 1: They're out there working and they're trying to get a
[1:13:26] Speaker 1: reaction and they're just they're not reciprocating. They're not getting
[1:13:30] Speaker 1: anything in return. And it didn't get much better in
[1:13:34] Speaker 1: the next match, because we had Tiffany Stratton defending the
[1:13:36] Speaker 1: Women's United States Championship against Jade Cargill, a match that
[1:13:40] Speaker 1: I'm sure was never going to be on this show
[1:13:43] Speaker 1: if Ria Ripley was healthy. Once Rhea got pulled from
[1:13:47] Speaker 1: the advertising, Tiffany took her place. We've seen this match
[1:13:51] Speaker 1: four or five times before, the biggest ones being at
[1:13:53] Speaker 1: Summer Slam last year and then the rematch on Saturday
[1:13:56] Speaker 1: Night's main event in November, same show where cmpunk b
[1:13:59] Speaker 1: j Us to win the world title, and none of
[1:14:02] Speaker 1: the matches that they've ever had are particularly good. Right,
[1:14:07] Speaker 1: some of them, maybe you're better than others. They're okay,
[1:14:09] Speaker 1: they're solid enough. But I'm not going to look back
[1:14:13] Speaker 1: and go, hey, remember that great Tiffany Stratton Jade Cargill
[1:14:16] Speaker 1: match we had last year. I can't do that because
[1:14:18] Speaker 1: it doesn't exist. So I wasn't terribly excited to see
[1:14:22] Speaker 1: it again, but I could see where it was going
[1:14:26] Speaker 1: clear as fucking day, what the finish of this match
[1:14:29] Speaker 1: was going to be. Even more so than like brack
[1:14:30] Speaker 1: Lesner potentially getting involved in the Obafemi match, I knew
[1:14:33] Speaker 1: exactly who was going to show up and get involved
[1:14:35] Speaker 1: here in this match, because it was the only thing
[1:14:37] Speaker 1: that made sense. Stratton tried for a dive early on,
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: Jade caught her, bounced her off the ropes and into
[1:14:43] Speaker 1: a knee strike. Back inside, Jade caught Tiffany with a
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: sitout power bomb for a near fall. Jade started doing
[1:14:49] Speaker 1: push ups in the ring, and it was so quiet
[1:14:51] Speaker 1: in the building you could, I mean very loudly, you
[1:14:54] Speaker 1: can hear her counting along to every push up that
[1:14:57] Speaker 1: she was doing. Stratton caught Jade with a role sent
[1:15:00] Speaker 1: on later, she went for the prettiest moon Salt ever
[1:15:03] Speaker 1: but Jade got her knees up on the landing. Jade
[1:15:06] Speaker 1: set up for Jaded. Tiffany, though countered with a stunner.
[1:15:09] Speaker 1: Stratton went up top when bee Fab ran out, and
[1:15:13] Speaker 1: she distracted the referee so that Mechen could then show
[1:15:16] Speaker 1: up and shove Stratton off the top, and then Jade
[1:15:19] Speaker 1: gave her a choke slamb but she only got a
[1:15:21] Speaker 1: two count out of it. Chelsea Green all of a
[1:15:24] Speaker 1: sudden emerged. She crawled out from under the ring again
[1:15:27] Speaker 1: to no reaction, and she took out be Fab in mechin.
[1:15:30] Speaker 1: Then she picked up the US title because when she
[1:15:32] Speaker 1: beat them up, she knocked over the pedestal that had
[1:15:34] Speaker 1: the belt on it, and I think it was in
[1:15:37] Speaker 1: a bag, so she reached into the bag she pulled
[1:15:39] Speaker 1: out the women's US title. She's smiling at it, she's staring,
[1:15:43] Speaker 1: she's gazing at this belt, and Jade is in the ring.
[1:15:46] Speaker 1: She reaches out and she grabs Chelsea from behind. Chelsea
[1:15:50] Speaker 1: ends up dropping the belt or laying it on the mat,
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: so now it's in the ring and Stratton rolled up Jade.
[1:15:57] Speaker 1: She snuck up behind her, rolled her up for a
[1:15:59] Speaker 1: two count. Jade then put her down with a pump kick.
[1:16:02] Speaker 1: Jade spots the belt sitting on the mat. I think
[1:16:05] Speaker 1: the referee was over tending to Tiffany. Why I don't
[1:16:10] Speaker 1: really know, but the referee was over with Tiffany, and
[1:16:15] Speaker 1: so before Jade can go over and grab the US title,
[1:16:20] Speaker 1: Charlotte Flair magically appears at ringside. She's standing outside the ring,
[1:16:27] Speaker 1: and so she and it wasn't like she was trying
[1:16:29] Speaker 1: to be inconspicuous either, I mean with the outfit she
[1:16:32] Speaker 1: was wearing colorful, I mean you could see her from
[1:16:34] Speaker 1: outer space. How she just magically appeared and we didn't
[1:16:37] Speaker 1: again hear the crowd reacting to her showing up. I
[1:16:40] Speaker 1: have no idea, but there she was. She was at ringside.
[1:16:43] Speaker 1: She took the belt instead, and then when Jade stuck
[1:16:47] Speaker 1: her head out, she got whacked right in the head
[1:16:49] Speaker 1: with the title belt knocked her backwards. Jade was knocked
[1:16:52] Speaker 1: out cold. Tiffany went up top, she hit the prettiest
[1:16:55] Speaker 1: moon Salt ever and she got the pin to retain
[1:16:57] Speaker 1: the title. I gotta tell you, guys, I gotta admit
[1:17:00] Speaker 1: something here. I was kind of hoping that we would
[1:17:02] Speaker 1: get a cameo appearance here from Sgt. Slaughter. I thought
[1:17:07] Speaker 1: that Sgt. Slaughter was going to show up and maybe
[1:17:10] Speaker 1: put Tiffy in the in the camel clutch, the Cobra
[1:17:14] Speaker 1: c the Cobra clutch, But we had no such luck here.
[1:17:18] Speaker 1: I wonder though, if he would have hit the scene,
[1:17:20] Speaker 1: do you think she would have recognized them? Probably not right.
[1:17:24] Speaker 1: She would have been like, who is this strange man
[1:17:26] Speaker 1: wearing army fatigues? Very much like their previous matches. Not
[1:17:32] Speaker 1: the worst thing I've seen, but not good either. It
[1:17:35] Speaker 1: was a match that happened. That's the way I would
[1:17:37] Speaker 1: describe this. It was a match that took place in
[1:17:41] Speaker 1: the history of matches. It was a means to an end.
[1:17:45] Speaker 1: The end was Charlotte Flair showing up and fucking Jade
[1:17:49] Speaker 1: Cargill out of the US title because because why Because
[1:17:56] Speaker 1: Jade Cargill beat her up backstage before her match would live.
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: Morgan last week injured her knee, cost her the opportunity
[1:18:03] Speaker 1: to go on to become Queen of the Ring, and
[1:18:05] Speaker 1: so why wouldn't Charlotte Flair show up and pay it
[1:18:08] Speaker 1: right back to her? Right, one good turn deserves another.
[1:18:11] Speaker 1: Of course, she was going to show up and cost
[1:18:14] Speaker 1: her the championship. Now they've each cost each other something
[1:18:16] Speaker 1: very important, and now they can build to Summer Slim
[1:18:20] Speaker 1: in Minneapolis and we will get the match between Charlotte
[1:18:23] Speaker 1: Flair and Jade Cargill. That's why, That's why this match existed.
[1:18:31] Speaker 1: It's the whole reason this match was even taking place
[1:18:33] Speaker 1: on this show was for them to be able to
[1:18:36] Speaker 1: do that finish so that they could set up a
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: big Summer Slim match. So it accomplished what they set
[1:18:41] Speaker 1: out to do. I just didn't think the match was
[1:18:42] Speaker 1: anything special, as was the case with a lot of
[1:18:46] Speaker 1: stuff on this show, but not the main event. The
[1:18:50] Speaker 1: main event is what really saved it for me. The
[1:18:53] Speaker 1: main event was a triple threat match for the WWE Championship.
[1:18:56] Speaker 1: It was Cody Rhoades defending his title against Gunther and
[1:19:00] Speaker 1: sammy's Ain. This was Sammy z Ain's tenth opportunity at
[1:19:05] Speaker 1: a world championship. That means that he failed nine times
[1:19:09] Speaker 1: coming into this. Zizo says, Sgt. Slaughter would get Megaheat
[1:19:17] Speaker 1: in Saudi. It's a good point. He would get Megaheat
[1:19:24] Speaker 1: in Saudi. They totally should have done that. Maybe they'll
[1:19:27] Speaker 1: have him a manager. Tiffany Stratton managed by Sgt. Slaughter. Well,
[1:19:35] Speaker 1: if they didn't bring him in to manage Lacy Evans,
[1:19:38] Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna do it with Tiffany Stratton.
[1:19:41] Speaker 1: So Sammy was of course the clear favorite coming into
[1:19:46] Speaker 1: this match, as he always is here on these Saudi shows.
[1:19:49] Speaker 1: They love Sammy's ain and he was right at home
[1:19:53] Speaker 1: with all of his rider die fans. Cody got a
[1:19:56] Speaker 1: good reaction to I was just happy that people were
[1:19:59] Speaker 1: getting any reaction at this point, you know, signs of
[1:20:03] Speaker 1: actual life on this show. I was very happy about that. Hey,
[1:20:08] Speaker 1: easy fifty three fifty three, nineteen months of channel membership.
[1:20:13] Speaker 1: He's a sound off superstar, says I'm glad Sammy got
[1:20:17] Speaker 1: the title. Cody is stale, he needs to take off
[1:20:20] Speaker 1: for a while. Oba winning was the only right decision,
[1:20:23] Speaker 1: and Solo is the true king of the ring. Well,
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: thank you very much. I will happily accept this crown
[1:20:30] Speaker 1: on your behalf. I will be your king. I hope
[1:20:34] Speaker 1: I can serve you well. So there was an early
[1:20:39] Speaker 1: Cody cutter to Gunther, and then Gunther just got right
[1:20:42] Speaker 1: back up to his feet and they just kept wrestling.
[1:20:44] Speaker 1: I'm like that was weird. The hell was that about now,
[1:20:50] Speaker 1: we're just turning the Cody Cutter into just another move.
[1:20:53] Speaker 1: Cody also had a springboard double Cody Cutter on both
[1:20:57] Speaker 1: men and then he hit Sammy with a suicide dive.
[1:20:59] Speaker 1: Cody got back in the he was setting up for Crossroads. Gunther,
[1:21:02] Speaker 1: though countered out into a power bomb with the stack.
[1:21:05] Speaker 1: Sammy was able to save the match, though at the
[1:21:07] Speaker 1: last minute. Outside the ring, Sammy very aggressively launched Gunther
[1:21:12] Speaker 1: into the steel steps. Michael Cole then compared this is
[1:21:15] Speaker 1: the point in the match where Michael Cole compared Sammy
[1:21:17] Speaker 1: z Ain to Wemby of the San Antonio Spurs and
[1:21:23] Speaker 1: how entitled he is. I just I love it all
[1:21:27] Speaker 1: these petty shots that Cole because I know this is
[1:21:31] Speaker 1: not the first time he's done this, All these petty
[1:21:33] Speaker 1: shots that he keeps taking a Wemby. These San Antonio
[1:21:38] Speaker 1: fans are not going to be happy with Michael Cole.
[1:21:41] Speaker 1: It's a big Knicks fan. Funny enough, I think he
[1:21:44] Speaker 1: lives in Texas, but he's a big Knicks fan, a
[1:21:47] Speaker 1: big Mets fan too. You'll have to excuse Michael Cole
[1:21:50] Speaker 1: for you know, when you're a Mets fan, you're a
[1:21:52] Speaker 1: little You're probably a little launry, especially lately. So back inside,
[1:22:00] Speaker 1: Sammy hit a beautiful blue thunderbomb to Cody for a
[1:22:03] Speaker 1: near fall. It looked like he may be setting up
[1:22:06] Speaker 1: for the halluva kick, but Gunther from the floor reaches in,
[1:22:09] Speaker 1: he yanks his legs out from under him, and he
[1:22:11] Speaker 1: crotches him on the ring post. So we were back
[1:22:15] Speaker 1: to Cody and Gunther for a little bit. Cody hit
[1:22:17] Speaker 1: crossroads on Gunther, he covered him. Sammy pulled the referee
[1:22:21] Speaker 1: out of the ring to prevent the three counts, which
[1:22:26] Speaker 1: is perfectly legal in a triple threat match. There is
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: nothing wrong with it, perfectly legal. Sammy shook his head like,
[1:22:35] Speaker 1: no hit Cody. It's it's not ending like that. So
[1:22:40] Speaker 1: Cody missed a disaster kick when Sammy moved and Sammy
[1:22:43] Speaker 1: dropped him with a brainbuster. He covered him. Gunther, though,
[1:22:46] Speaker 1: broke it up with a splash off the top rope.
[1:22:48] Speaker 1: Gunther with a power bomb to Sammy. Then he power
[1:22:51] Speaker 1: bombed Cody onto Sammy. Then he picked up Sammy to
[1:22:55] Speaker 1: deliver another power bomb, and Sammy countered that into this
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: great code red for a near fall as a great spot.
[1:23:03] Speaker 1: So now we're cooking here. In this match, Gunther got
[1:23:06] Speaker 1: hung up in the corner on a miss telubakick and
[1:23:08] Speaker 1: Sammy hit one of his own to Gunther, and he
[1:23:10] Speaker 1: had the match one. He had the title one. But
[1:23:12] Speaker 1: this time it was Cody who pulled the referee out
[1:23:15] Speaker 1: to the floor to save his championship. And so Sammy
[1:23:19] Speaker 1: goes outside. Two of them start going at it. Cody
[1:23:22] Speaker 1: clears off the announced desk, Sammy clears off the Arabic
[1:23:26] Speaker 1: announced desk. They wound up on top of that one
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: and Sammy was setting up for a Kevin Owens esque
[1:23:32] Speaker 1: package pile driver. Cody fought out of it, though, and
[1:23:36] Speaker 1: he hit a big back body drop, I mean he
[1:23:40] Speaker 1: got some height on that, and as Samby came down,
[1:23:43] Speaker 1: he crashed through the announced table. I was sad here
[1:23:49] Speaker 1: the English announced desk, and I was sad here because
[1:23:52] Speaker 1: that deserved way more of a reaction than it got.
[1:23:57] Speaker 1: I popped big for it, even if the didn't. So
[1:24:01] Speaker 1: that also, though, took out Michael Cole's audio, as we
[1:24:04] Speaker 1: were told by Corey Graves, so he took over basically
[1:24:07] Speaker 1: doing commentary on the match. Gun through powerbomb Cody onto
[1:24:11] Speaker 1: the Arabic announced desk, which did not break, so he said,
[1:24:14] Speaker 1: fuck it, we're gonna do it again, and he power
[1:24:17] Speaker 1: bombed him a second time, and this time the table
[1:24:20] Speaker 1: collapsed and he quickly got Cody back in the ring,
[1:24:23] Speaker 1: because you can't win the championship outside, so he got
[1:24:26] Speaker 1: him back in the ring. He got the sleeper hole
[1:24:27] Speaker 1: applied with the body scissors down on the mat, He's
[1:24:30] Speaker 1: squeezing the air out of Cody's lungs. Michael Cole got
[1:24:34] Speaker 1: his audio back, but it sounded like absolute dog shit.
[1:24:37] Speaker 1: He sounded like he was doing commentary underwater. It was
[1:24:41] Speaker 1: very low and very muddled. Cody got up to his feet.
[1:24:45] Speaker 1: He fell backwards to break the hold, but Gun there
[1:24:48] Speaker 1: quickly reapplied the sleeper. Cody began to fade, he was
[1:24:52] Speaker 1: going out here, and the referee lifted Cody's arm. This
[1:24:55] Speaker 1: was the one thing about this match that I just
[1:24:57] Speaker 1: kind of laughed at it, like it didn't upset me.
[1:25:01] Speaker 1: But I just I'm watching this and the idea is
[1:25:05] Speaker 1: that the way they do things now typically in WWE,
[1:25:08] Speaker 1: they don't do the drop the arm three times I
[1:25:12] Speaker 1: think they did with John Cena. They do it when
[1:25:14] Speaker 1: they feel like doing it, but by and large. They
[1:25:16] Speaker 1: don't do that anymore. That's like an old school thing.
[1:25:19] Speaker 1: They drop the arm once. If somebody looks like they're unconscious,
[1:25:21] Speaker 1: they'll drop the arm once, and if you're out, they
[1:25:23] Speaker 1: call for the bell. And that's how it would be
[1:25:25] Speaker 1: done in like a real fight, right, You wouldn't be like,
[1:25:28] Speaker 1: okay once twice. Meanwhile, this person's unconscious, So the referee
[1:25:33] Speaker 1: is picking up Cody's arm and clearly he's he's out, right,
[1:25:38] Speaker 1: Sammy jumps into the ring and he grabs the arm
[1:25:43] Speaker 1: right at the very last minute before the arm can
[1:25:45] Speaker 1: can drop to the mat to save the match. But
[1:25:50] Speaker 1: I'm looking at this and I'm like, okay, if if
[1:25:55] Speaker 1: you want to call it kind of like a shoot, right,
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: if the referees can concerned that one of the participants
[1:26:01] Speaker 1: may be unconscious, that shouldn't matter, like you know what
[1:26:05] Speaker 1: I mean, Like you should you should still call the
[1:26:07] Speaker 1: match or get in there and see and if the
[1:26:09] Speaker 1: person's out, you call for the bell. But it's like, no,
[1:26:11] Speaker 1: Sammy's ain't held the arm, so therefore we gotta let
[1:26:13] Speaker 1: the match continue even if this man is completely unconscious.
[1:26:16] Speaker 1: I just laughed. It's one of those silly stupid wrestling things.
[1:26:20] Speaker 1: It's like, all right, so he's just gonna let the
[1:26:23] Speaker 1: match continue. Huh, poor Cody. Fuck Cody, I guess, but
[1:26:27] Speaker 1: Sammy saved it. So at this point, Corey Graves gave
[1:26:31] Speaker 1: Michael Cole his headset. I don't know if he was
[1:26:34] Speaker 1: told in his ear to do that or if he
[1:26:36] Speaker 1: did that just as a friend, like, here, you're the
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: main announcer, We're heading to the finish of this match.
[1:26:43] Speaker 1: Take my headset. So we didn't have Corey on commentary
[1:26:46] Speaker 1: for a little bit. Cole took his headset. Gunther started
[1:26:50] Speaker 1: shopping the shit out of Sammy. Sammy hit an exploder
[1:26:53] Speaker 1: into the corner and then he hit a halluva kick
[1:26:56] Speaker 1: and he covered and Gunther kicked out. And to me,
[1:27:00] Speaker 1: that was the moment in the match where I was like,
[1:27:02] Speaker 1: well that's it. You know. I was pulling for Sammy
[1:27:05] Speaker 1: and that near fall told me all right, it's not happening.
[1:27:12] Speaker 1: He's not winning the belt. They got me on that one,
[1:27:17] Speaker 1: like it felt to me like his chances of winning
[1:27:19] Speaker 1: just flew out the window. Gunther was setting Sammy up
[1:27:23] Speaker 1: for something, Cody got back in he dropped him with
[1:27:25] Speaker 1: a super Cody cutter, and then he had a crossroads
[1:27:29] Speaker 1: to Sammy, but no he didn't because Sammy was able
[1:27:32] Speaker 1: to reverse out of it into one of his own.
[1:27:34] Speaker 1: And he drops Cody with the crossroads, and now he's
[1:27:37] Speaker 1: lining up with the halluva kick, and as he comes
[1:27:40] Speaker 1: charging in, Gunther swoops in from out of nowhere and
[1:27:44] Speaker 1: just catches him in a sleeper hole, but overcomes Cody,
[1:27:48] Speaker 1: and Cody delivers a double crossroads to both men. Was
[1:27:54] Speaker 1: it a double crossroads or a double Cody cutter? Might
[1:27:58] Speaker 1: have been a double crossroads. Whichever one it was, he
[1:28:02] Speaker 1: executed it on both of them at the same time.
[1:28:05] Speaker 1: Gunther at that point rolled out of the ring. His
[1:28:07] Speaker 1: night is over. So we're down to Cody and Sammy.
[1:28:09] Speaker 1: Cody is setting up for a Cody cutter, and or
[1:28:13] Speaker 1: again maybe it was a crossrow. Why am I getting
[1:28:15] Speaker 1: those two moves confused? He was setting up for a crossroads.
[1:28:19] Speaker 1: Sammy drops down, He rolls Cody up, has the legs
[1:28:24] Speaker 1: almost like if he had given him a victory role.
[1:28:28] Speaker 1: He's holding the legs and he pins Cody right in
[1:28:32] Speaker 1: the middle of the ring. One two three, and he
[1:28:35] Speaker 1: wins the WWE Championship. And I was like, I was stunned,
[1:28:41] Speaker 1: only because I didn't know if they would have the
[1:28:43] Speaker 1: balls to do it. I was hoping they would. I've
[1:28:47] Speaker 1: learned not to give these people the benefit of the doubt,
[1:28:49] Speaker 1: given the way the booking has been over much of
[1:28:52] Speaker 1: the past year plus. And I was like, Wow, they
[1:28:57] Speaker 1: actually did it. And Sammy, of course, was playing it
[1:28:59] Speaker 1: up like he was stunned and just shocked and he
[1:29:03] Speaker 1: just couldn't believe it. He dove into the crowd, he
[1:29:07] Speaker 1: was mobbed by fans, showered with love, and as the
[1:29:13] Speaker 1: camera is following him out and up the ramp, he
[1:29:16] Speaker 1: looked into the camera and he said, it's been ten years,
[1:29:19] Speaker 1: ten years of Sammy's ain in WWE. People said he
[1:29:23] Speaker 1: would never do it, he would never win a world championship. Well,
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: here it is, and they shot off Piro on the
[1:29:29] Speaker 1: stage behind him, the big celebration, and that is how
[1:29:32] Speaker 1: they went off the air. They did the damn thing.
[1:29:38] Speaker 1: They did the damn thing ten years and ten chances later,
[1:29:43] Speaker 1: because if he would have lost here, to have ten
[1:29:46] Speaker 1: opportunities and to fail ten times, how do you recover
[1:29:50] Speaker 1: from that? How do you recover from that? But on
[1:29:55] Speaker 1: his tenth try, Sammy's Ain finally wins the big One.
[1:29:57] Speaker 1: He is a world champion. Not even Kevin Owen was
[1:30:01] Speaker 1: WWE champion. Despite what Cody Road said on SmackDown Friday Night,
[1:30:04] Speaker 1: Kevin Owens never even won the w W Championship. Sammy's
[1:30:08] Speaker 1: Ain't did easily the best thing on the entire show.
[1:30:11] Speaker 1: This was I thought an excellent main event, a very
[1:30:14] Speaker 1: exciting and I thought, well well executed finish. It was
[1:30:18] Speaker 1: a shame the audio issues that they were having. It
[1:30:21] Speaker 1: kind of you know, I want to say it ruined it,
[1:30:25] Speaker 1: but you know, it kind of put a damper on
[1:30:28] Speaker 1: it there a little bit with Cole's audio anyway. But
[1:30:32] Speaker 1: just an excellent finish down the stretch, lots of great
[1:30:35] Speaker 1: near falls, lots of drama. They had me convinced at
[1:30:38] Speaker 1: one point that they weren't going with Sammy, and then
[1:30:40] Speaker 1: they went with Sammy. And that was probably also why
[1:30:43] Speaker 1: I was sitting here a little stunned because I was like, Wow,
[1:30:45] Speaker 1: they actually ended up doing it. How about that. Here's
[1:30:50] Speaker 1: the other thing I liked. I liked that they had
[1:30:53] Speaker 1: him pin Cody. He pinned the champion. It would have
[1:30:57] Speaker 1: been worse, I think if he pined Gun It would
[1:30:59] Speaker 1: have been worse for gun Through if he would have
[1:31:00] Speaker 1: been Gunther, but I'm glad they didn't do that. They
[1:31:03] Speaker 1: had him pin Cody. Cody is the WWE champion. He
[1:31:05] Speaker 1: got beat so I like that. This to me was
[1:31:09] Speaker 1: a much needed shake up for the title picture on
[1:31:13] Speaker 1: SmackDown heading into Summer Slim. And now it presents a
[1:31:17] Speaker 1: lot of questions. Does Obafemi challenge Sammy's A? I cannot
[1:31:23] Speaker 1: see that being the Summer Slam match? To me, like,
[1:31:26] Speaker 1: if you wanted to make a chart of all of
[1:31:28] Speaker 1: the potential options right for Summer, that's at the bottom,
[1:31:32] Speaker 1: that's like the bottom three. Obafemi against Sammy's A at SummerSlam.
[1:31:37] Speaker 1: I can't see that. But there's no way that Cody
[1:31:41] Speaker 1: Roads is not going to be involved to me, in
[1:31:43] Speaker 1: the WWE Championship match at Summer Slim. So I feel
[1:31:47] Speaker 1: like Cody versus Sammy in a singles rematch is one
[1:31:51] Speaker 1: of the more likely, if not the likeliest, I feel like,
[1:31:55] Speaker 1: of all of the possibilities here. But that's assuming Sammy
[1:31:59] Speaker 1: even makes it to Summer Slim. I don't know that
[1:32:02] Speaker 1: Sammy's gonna get a very long run. I don't expect
[1:32:04] Speaker 1: Sammy's run to be very long, right, but that can
[1:32:07] Speaker 1: mean a lot of things. Is he gonna be champion
[1:32:08] Speaker 1: for a week? Is he gonna be champion until Saturday
[1:32:11] Speaker 1: Night's main event. Is he gonna drop it at SummerSlam?
[1:32:14] Speaker 1: Are they gonna let him run with it a little
[1:32:15] Speaker 1: bit longer? What would be the harm in letting him
[1:32:18] Speaker 1: run a little bit longer with it? To me, you
[1:32:20] Speaker 1: read the room. You got a good thing going with
[1:32:23] Speaker 1: him in this character right now. And I don't know
[1:32:25] Speaker 1: what effect it's gonna have on business in terms of tickets.
[1:32:28] Speaker 1: I don't know what effect it's going to have in
[1:32:30] Speaker 1: terms of television ratings or whatever metrics that they're gonna
[1:32:33] Speaker 1: look at, social whatever is important to them. If they
[1:32:37] Speaker 1: notice that there's a drop off, they may panic. I
[1:32:40] Speaker 1: can't speak to any of that. Sammy'szany has never been
[1:32:42] Speaker 1: world champion before. We don't know. We don't know right
[1:32:45] Speaker 1: how he's going to do in that role. But to me,
[1:32:49] Speaker 1: like you're heading into a part of the year that
[1:32:50] Speaker 1: typically is pretty like I mean, coming out of Summer Slam.
[1:32:54] Speaker 1: I'm talking about right, Summer Slim's their second biggest of
[1:32:56] Speaker 1: end of the year, coming out of summer slim, you
[1:32:58] Speaker 1: go into the fall and generally there's not a whole
[1:33:01] Speaker 1: lot going on, Like, what would be the harm in
[1:33:04] Speaker 1: keeping the belt on Sammy beyond SummerSlam and giving him
[1:33:07] Speaker 1: a few months, you know, to run with it, especially
[1:33:10] Speaker 1: if what he's doing is working. That's why I mean
[1:33:13] Speaker 1: when I say you got to read the room. If
[1:33:15] Speaker 1: if what they're doing with him seems to be resonating
[1:33:17] Speaker 1: and it's working, and with him as a heel in
[1:33:20] Speaker 1: that spot, maybe he'll have more babyfaces to work with.
[1:33:25] Speaker 1: Then maybe you keep it on him for a little
[1:33:26] Speaker 1: bit longer. Again, we don't know what the status of
[1:33:29] Speaker 1: Kevin Owens is. He had surgery I think about eleven
[1:33:32] Speaker 1: months ago. How close is he potentially to being cleared
[1:33:35] Speaker 1: for a comeback, right? And how might he factor into
[1:33:38] Speaker 1: things when it comes to Sammy is the champion? You know?
[1:33:41] Speaker 1: Would they even bring him back maybe to television even
[1:33:44] Speaker 1: if he's not ready to wrestle, but maybe he could be,
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: you know, kind of part of this in some way.
[1:33:50] Speaker 1: I don't know, right, I just again I put that
[1:33:51] Speaker 1: out there as a possibility. CM Punk is the other
[1:33:55] Speaker 1: wild card here. CM Punk is coming back very soon.
[1:33:58] Speaker 1: He'll probably be on Raw when they in Chicago on
[1:34:00] Speaker 1: July six, but he is probably going to be a
[1:34:03] Speaker 1: SmackDown star. The report is that not only is he
[1:34:06] Speaker 1: going to SmackDown, but they got a big match lined
[1:34:08] Speaker 1: up for him. Now. The biggest match would be Cody
[1:34:12] Speaker 1: Rhodes against Cmpunk for the WWE Championship. That doesn't look
[1:34:16] Speaker 1: like that's gonna be happening anytime soon. My thought was
[1:34:20] Speaker 1: that if Sammy doesn't win the title, the Summer Slam
[1:34:24] Speaker 1: match for him could be against Punk. You could do
[1:34:26] Speaker 1: that as like a big undercard match at Summer Slim.
[1:34:28] Speaker 1: But now Sammy is the champion. If Punk goes to SmackDown,
[1:34:33] Speaker 1: how does he fit into this? Does he fit into
[1:34:37] Speaker 1: the title picture right away? Would they do punkin Sammy? Like?
[1:34:39] Speaker 1: I don't know right It's it's interesting. It's another kind
[1:34:44] Speaker 1: of wrinkle in all this. Where does Gunther go from here? Gunther,
[1:34:49] Speaker 1: I feel like, is in a similar boat to bron
[1:34:52] Speaker 1: Breaker on Raw in that he took this loss and
[1:34:57] Speaker 1: on its own, it's not going to bury him. But
[1:34:59] Speaker 1: he's in a very precarious position right now where a
[1:35:03] Speaker 1: lot of it is going to hinge on what this
[1:35:05] Speaker 1: next step is for him. He just lost to Cody
[1:35:09] Speaker 1: Rhoades three times, right technically now again, I'm not even
[1:35:14] Speaker 1: Let's not even go back to Crown Jewel two years ago.
[1:35:16] Speaker 1: Let's just look at Clash in Italy, SmackDown and this
[1:35:19] Speaker 1: match here on this show. He just went oh for
[1:35:22] Speaker 1: three back to back to back in WWE title matches. Well,
[1:35:28] Speaker 1: I guess technically four technically four times because they restarted
[1:35:32] Speaker 1: the match on SmackDown last week, oh for four. Since
[1:35:35] Speaker 1: the end of May, in the span of a month,
[1:35:39] Speaker 1: Gunther has now gone oh for four in his quest
[1:35:43] Speaker 1: to become WWE champion. That's pretty fucking terrible and I
[1:35:49] Speaker 1: now have no interest in seeing him pursuing the championship.
[1:35:53] Speaker 1: He's got to move on to something else. Him him
[1:35:55] Speaker 1: going after Sammy's aying at Summer, I don't want to
[1:35:57] Speaker 1: see that. I have no interest in that. It soured
[1:36:00] Speaker 1: me on that. But I don't know where he goes
[1:36:03] Speaker 1: from here. It's funny because many months ago, I don't
[1:36:07] Speaker 1: know if it was on the Prediction Show, but many
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: months ago I said, you know, Iliya Dragonov being on SmackDown,
[1:36:13] Speaker 1: we need to get Gunther unsmacked down. Actually, probably coming
[1:36:16] Speaker 1: out of WrestleMania. When I was talking about moving Gunther over,
[1:36:19] Speaker 1: I think I floated that as a possibility, Like, man,
[1:36:21] Speaker 1: how great would it be if they end up on
[1:36:24] Speaker 1: the same brand. We could build to like a program
[1:36:26] Speaker 1: between Gunther and Dragonov, you know, and it doesn't even
[1:36:29] Speaker 1: need to have a belt on the line necessarily. But
[1:36:32] Speaker 1: then Dragonov fell off the face of the fucking earth,
[1:36:34] Speaker 1: and I don't know when we're going to see him again.
[1:36:36] Speaker 1: I honestly don't know what would be next. If Punk
[1:36:39] Speaker 1: is going to SmackDown Punk and Gunther. We've seen it though.
[1:36:43] Speaker 1: That was the Summer Slam match last year, and at
[1:36:46] Speaker 1: least there there was a championship on the line. I
[1:36:49] Speaker 1: don't want to go back to that, So I don't know.
[1:36:52] Speaker 1: Just like bron Breaker Unraw, I don't know. I don't
[1:36:55] Speaker 1: know what's next. I can tell you one thing, I
[1:36:59] Speaker 1: mean him, him and Brock Lesnar, which at one point
[1:37:02] Speaker 1: was before all the Oba Femi stuff came about, there
[1:37:06] Speaker 1: was the possibility of a big Brock and Gunther match.
[1:37:09] Speaker 1: And it's like Gunther is coming off all of these losses,
[1:37:13] Speaker 1: so much of that aura that he had at the
[1:37:15] Speaker 1: beginning of the year has been wiped away. He just
[1:37:17] Speaker 1: feels like another guy now that I feel like, even
[1:37:19] Speaker 1: if they wanted to do him and Brock, Like, the
[1:37:23] Speaker 1: only way that works is if they're really not gonna
[1:37:26] Speaker 1: do Oba and Brock again. I can't imagine they don't
[1:37:30] Speaker 1: do it again, but like, if they're not gonna do
[1:37:33] Speaker 1: that again, and Brock really is gonna hang it up
[1:37:35] Speaker 1: in Minneapolis at SummerSlam, and I don't know how likely
[1:37:40] Speaker 1: that even is, and then maybe they make guntherro his
[1:37:43] Speaker 1: last opponent. I mean, you could do that, h Does
[1:37:48] Speaker 1: that really excite you? Is that something that you would
[1:37:51] Speaker 1: really be interested in seeing? Maybe? Like I'm not opposed
[1:37:55] Speaker 1: to a Brock and Gunther match. I think we're in
[1:37:58] Speaker 1: a situation now where they may have waited too long.
[1:38:03] Speaker 1: We may not even get the chance to see it.
[1:38:05] Speaker 1: And maybe now time wise, it doesn't make sense. This
[1:38:09] Speaker 1: is not the same Gunther that was present at the
[1:38:11] Speaker 1: beginning of the year. It's just not that it wouldn't
[1:38:13] Speaker 1: feel the same. He's taken too many losses recently. That's
[1:38:17] Speaker 1: what I mean when I say he just feels like
[1:38:18] Speaker 1: another guy. So I don't know what's next for him.
[1:38:23] Speaker 1: Will Johnny Gargano finally stop stop planking, and is he
[1:38:27] Speaker 1: going to factor into this in some way where maybe
[1:38:29] Speaker 1: maybe he becomes Sammy stooge. Sammy is usually the one
[1:38:33] Speaker 1: that's in the role of stooge, right, Traditionally he's been
[1:38:36] Speaker 1: the stooge in the past. But this whole association on
[1:38:41] Speaker 1: TV with him and Gargano, you would think maybe that's
[1:38:43] Speaker 1: leading somewhere. If Gargano finally gets up off the crate,
[1:38:47] Speaker 1: he ain't gonna be wrestling for the WWE Championship, but
[1:38:49] Speaker 1: maybe he can. It be his lackey or something. I
[1:38:53] Speaker 1: don't know, so there's a lot of questions now where
[1:38:55] Speaker 1: the peace is going to fall. This is good though,
[1:38:57] Speaker 1: This is a good conversation to have. SmackDown's going back
[1:39:01] Speaker 1: to two hours starting next week, which is great. Sorry
[1:39:05] Speaker 1: to all the people who are going to probably end
[1:39:07] Speaker 1: up being left off the show, but the show is
[1:39:08] Speaker 1: fucking awful, and if they refuse to improve the show,
[1:39:12] Speaker 1: then it's better at two hours than three. But at
[1:39:14] Speaker 1: least now coming out of this show where the main
[1:39:17] Speaker 1: title pictures concerned, I'm interested to see where they're going
[1:39:21] Speaker 1: to go with all these people, right, they have my attention.
[1:39:24] Speaker 1: Now I want to see where they're going to take this.
[1:39:26] Speaker 1: It's not totally predictable anymore in the way that it
[1:39:29] Speaker 1: was when Cody had the belt. So I see that
[1:39:32] Speaker 1: as a good thing. But that main event was fucking great.
[1:39:34] Speaker 1: The only thing on this show I would say that
[1:39:36] Speaker 1: about because of the rest of the show I thought
[1:39:39] Speaker 1: was very mid but that main event was fantastic. So
[1:39:43] Speaker 1: that was Night of Champions. The next big show is
[1:39:46] Speaker 1: going to be Saturday Night's made event for them, July eighteenth,
[1:39:49] Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden. Hey, maybe they do brock and Oba
[1:39:55] Speaker 1: at MSG, the world's most famous arena, home of the
[1:40:01] Speaker 1: world champion New York Knicks. It's possible be the Booker goal. Yeah,
[1:40:09] Speaker 1: somebody asked about that. The wheel said four hundred and
[1:40:12] Speaker 1: fifty likes was the goal. We are currently at six
[1:40:15] Speaker 1: hundred and thirty three, so yes, we did hit the goal.
[1:40:18] Speaker 1: We're seven out of ten on the bonus goal, so
[1:40:20] Speaker 1: we'll see if we end up getting over there. But
[1:40:23] Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead and take your questions because I
[1:40:26] Speaker 1: know there's a whole bunch of them here. Again, they
[1:40:30] Speaker 1: haven't been popping up on screen because there's an outage
[1:40:33] Speaker 1: with stream Labs, which triggers them on screen. Apparently this
[1:40:37] Speaker 1: is a widespread outage that started earlier today. So I'm
[1:40:41] Speaker 1: getting them. They're just not showing up, So I will
[1:40:43] Speaker 1: read them fear not. I will go through all of them.
[1:40:49] Speaker 1: If Falcon Star says, I hope we don't get brockingto
[1:40:51] Speaker 1: on Saturday nights made event I canceled my Peacock subscription,
[1:40:56] Speaker 1: they may have to. They may get you to re subscribe.
[1:41:00] Speaker 1: Then that's their goal. They want you to resubscribe. They
[1:41:06] Speaker 1: want to pick up as many subscribers as possible. Could
[1:41:13] Speaker 1: they do two and a half hours for SmackDown? Not
[1:41:18] Speaker 1: until they could put together a string of really good
[1:41:21] Speaker 1: SmackDown shows, But could they do it? Sure, it's just
[1:41:25] Speaker 1: a matter of does USA Network want to have a
[1:41:27] Speaker 1: two and a half hour show? And then how do
[1:41:29] Speaker 1: they fill that thirty minutes? I think most of their
[1:41:31] Speaker 1: shows are an hour long, so what would they do
[1:41:33] Speaker 1: for those thirty minutes? They may not want to do that.
[1:41:40] Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know where the where their
[1:41:42] Speaker 1: head is at on that. Hey Joseph Stewart, Happy Saturday
[1:41:48] Speaker 1: to you brother. He was ever present on the stream yesterday,
[1:41:53] Speaker 1: very supportive. What was a very quiet night, so I
[1:41:59] Speaker 1: appreciate it. Favorite moment from Wolfpack Sting showing more of
[1:42:09] Speaker 1: his personality, Yeah, yeah, I mean Sting was showing more
[1:42:12] Speaker 1: personality when he was in the Wolfpack. I just think
[1:42:16] Speaker 1: I don't have a favorite wolf Pack Sting moment, but
[1:42:18] Speaker 1: like him having any sort of association with the nWo
[1:42:22] Speaker 1: is just wrong to me. It's kind of like WWE
[1:42:24] Speaker 1: sending the nWo guys out there Hogan, Paul Nash and
[1:42:28] Speaker 1: wrestlemaniad to Helpsting like they gave no shits about like
[1:42:33] Speaker 1: the history of WCW by doing that. Yeah, we'll just
[1:42:37] Speaker 1: have the nWo guys go out there and help Sting. Sure, sure,
[1:42:42] Speaker 1: why not? How different would ddp's career have been if
[1:42:50] Speaker 1: he had been the one to end Goldberg Streak. I
[1:42:53] Speaker 1: pitch for that very thing, like he would have been
[1:42:58] Speaker 1: an even bigger star out of it. The Raven character. Yeah,
[1:43:05] Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't really know what the backstory
[1:43:07] Speaker 1: would be. Probably a somebody who had suffered some sort
[1:43:12] Speaker 1: of great loss in life and you can kind of
[1:43:14] Speaker 1: build on like a tortured soul kind of thing. Maybe
[1:43:16] Speaker 1: that would be the backstory, like the origin story or Raven.
[1:43:22] Speaker 1: Do I think Sting was Hogan's greatest rival in WCW
[1:43:26] Speaker 1: in WCW. Yes, And do I think Keanna James is
[1:43:30] Speaker 1: going to be a big star in WWE. I think
[1:43:33] Speaker 1: that I'm so hesitant with with like the booking, it's
[1:43:42] Speaker 1: I think I'd like to say yes, but you know,
[1:43:45] Speaker 1: with this crew, it's just who knows. I'm gonna say
[1:43:48] Speaker 1: that she will be a future world champion in the
[1:43:52] Speaker 1: women's division. Yes. What about Harley Cameron in AW she
[1:44:00] Speaker 1: does a lot of media stuff for them and is
[1:44:01] Speaker 1: it movie premieres. Yeah, Harley, Harley's a star for them.
[1:44:05] Speaker 1: She's never going to be a megastar though you know
[1:44:08] Speaker 1: she's super talented, though she's very multitalented. I did not
[1:44:18] Speaker 1: know that about Arnold anyway. Joseph, I appreciate that the
[1:44:25] Speaker 1: pair of nine ninety nine from Joseph. Joseph, I'm going
[1:44:28] Speaker 1: to give you a yes chance. Always showing love man,
[1:44:33] Speaker 1: even in slow times, even in slow times lately it's
[1:44:37] Speaker 1: been very slow. I appreciate it. Olivia Rare pay per
[1:44:42] Speaker 1: view live watch from Bulgaria. Much love Solo, shout out
[1:44:47] Speaker 1: to all my peeps in Bulgaria. I don't know how
[1:44:50] Speaker 1: many of them I have over there. I have at
[1:44:52] Speaker 1: least one, at least I know I have at least
[1:44:55] Speaker 1: one g be Oba Brock at Madison Square, Garden Oba
[1:45:03] Speaker 1: Roman and Brock Gunther at SummerSlam. Any of those are possible.
[1:45:10] Speaker 1: I think the latter part of your message is probably
[1:45:14] Speaker 1: more likely than the first part. But I could see
[1:45:18] Speaker 1: I could see any of that. I could see any
[1:45:20] Speaker 1: of that being the case. It's always Russev Day in Bulgaria,
[1:45:26] Speaker 1: certainly not Rusev Day in WWA, super Pony. I haven't
[1:45:30] Speaker 1: marked out like that in fucking years. Holy shits so
[1:45:33] Speaker 1: happy for Sammy. He deserves it so much. Match was
[1:45:36] Speaker 1: amazing too. Yeah, it was a great match. It was
[1:45:40] Speaker 1: a great match. I mean, I'm sure there's gonna be
[1:45:42] Speaker 1: a lot of hate. I know there's a lot of
[1:45:44] Speaker 1: people who are not gonna be happy about sammy' zan
[1:45:49] Speaker 1: being the champion. They don't see him as championship material.
[1:45:52] Speaker 1: But I thought it was a great moment. Mark you
[1:45:58] Speaker 1: the mark. Let's fucking go Oba one, Sammy one and
[1:46:02] Speaker 1: EO one. I said, men, they got it right with
[1:46:05] Speaker 1: all three key matches on this show, the big matches,
[1:46:08] Speaker 1: the finals, the title match, they batted a thousand As
[1:46:13] Speaker 1: far as the outcomes, the Shawnathan Finally Triple H doesn't
[1:46:19] Speaker 1: play it safe and Sammy wins. I don't know for
[1:46:22] Speaker 1: how long, but Cody and Roman his World Champions is
[1:46:24] Speaker 1: boring right now. This is the right move in my opinion. Well,
[1:46:32] Speaker 1: remember the beginning of the year, they did that with
[1:46:34] Speaker 1: Drew and they put the belt on Drew, and I
[1:46:37] Speaker 1: was an advocate for that, and then two months later
[1:46:41] Speaker 1: he lost it back to Sammy so or to Cody.
[1:46:45] Speaker 1: In fact, I think the only title defense successful title
[1:46:48] Speaker 1: defense he had was against Sammy, which was at the Rumble.
[1:46:53] Speaker 1: Andre Jefferson Hey Solo says, I had a thought. Oba
[1:46:59] Speaker 1: challenges Sammy at Summer Slam, beats him. Then Brock challenges
[1:47:03] Speaker 1: Oba for Wressell Palooza. They do love their Wrestle Palooza,
[1:47:11] Speaker 1: don't they. They're probably gonna bring that back now. I
[1:47:18] Speaker 1: don't see Oba and Sammy though, that's I don't see that.
[1:47:21] Speaker 1: I don't see that as a Summer Slam main event,
[1:47:26] Speaker 1: Mark you says, and let's not have him drop it
[1:47:29] Speaker 1: back to Cody. That title doesn't have to be affiliated
[1:47:31] Speaker 1: with Kingdom all the damn time. Oh, you're gonna get
[1:47:34] Speaker 1: Kingdom and you're gonna like it. Kingdom ain't going nowhere,
[1:47:39] Speaker 1: Tommy Kolela. So from now on we can call Sammy's
[1:47:42] Speaker 1: a Grand Slam sam to bet Kevin Owens couldn't be
[1:47:47] Speaker 1: there and celebrate like Shampa did with Gargano back in
[1:47:49] Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. Oh, I'm sure there'll there'll be a phone
[1:47:53] Speaker 1: call or a text message. Then. I'm sure Super Pony
[1:47:56] Speaker 1: praying that they let Sammy hold it till summer Slim
[1:47:59] Speaker 1: and we get Cody against Sammy. That's the best WWE
[1:48:02] Speaker 1: title match they can do on that show. Well, I
[1:48:08] Speaker 1: mean now would be before I would have said Cody
[1:48:10] Speaker 1: and Punk, but I don't know how realistic that ever
[1:48:14] Speaker 1: was going to be. Hey, super Pony, they'll thank you
[1:48:17] Speaker 1: for the four ninety nine men, and Tommy, thank you
[1:48:19] Speaker 1: for the five. You guys are awesome, says Lucas. Bloodlines.
[1:48:28] Speaker 1: Feeling usy after Sammy's win, Well, they're feeling somewhat oosy.
[1:48:34] Speaker 1: Jay Usso did not win, which is fine with me.
[1:48:39] Speaker 1: Misfit Wrestling Podcast with the ten spot going on Misfitch,
[1:48:45] Speaker 1: They're gonna have Brock beat Sammy for the title of
[1:48:48] Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden and then do Brock versus Oba for
[1:48:52] Speaker 1: the title at SummerSlam, aren't they? Because Oba is not
[1:48:56] Speaker 1: pulling double duty yet. Some you know what, mmm mmm,
[1:49:05] Speaker 1: Brock against Sammy at Madison Square Garden. It's an interesting idea.
[1:49:18] Speaker 1: It is an interesting idea. You have Brock beat Sammy
[1:49:26] Speaker 1: like Oba will well. I guess there's no time limit right,
[1:49:29] Speaker 1: Oba can make his I mean, if Oba wants to
[1:49:31] Speaker 1: wait a few weeks to make his choice, how about this.
[1:49:35] Speaker 1: I'll tell you this. If Oba Femi, like in the
[1:49:39] Speaker 1: next week or two, if Oba Femi chooses the WWE
[1:49:43] Speaker 1: championship to go after at Summer Slim, to me, that's
[1:49:46] Speaker 1: a huge red flag. If he picks Sammy Zaying to
[1:49:50] Speaker 1: go after, then I think you're right, because I do
[1:49:53] Speaker 1: not see Sammy going into Summer Slim to be the
[1:49:55] Speaker 1: one to defend that belt against Oba. If that's the
[1:49:58] Speaker 1: choice that Oba makes. If Oba picks Sammy, then I
[1:50:02] Speaker 1: think you're right. I think somehow they get to Sammy
[1:50:05] Speaker 1: and Brock for the title. On that show, Brock wins
[1:50:08] Speaker 1: and he's already made his choice, and that's how we
[1:50:12] Speaker 1: get Oba and Brock with Oba going over and winning
[1:50:15] Speaker 1: the championship and then Sammy would just have the mother
[1:50:19] Speaker 1: of all meltdowns. And maybe that's how we know Punk
[1:50:24] Speaker 1: debuts on SmackDown. We get Sammy and Punk as an
[1:50:27] Speaker 1: undercard match. The only thing is, again, where does Cody
[1:50:30] Speaker 1: fit in? How is Cody not going to be involved
[1:50:33] Speaker 1: in like one of the top matches on the shows.
[1:50:35] Speaker 1: I just don't see how he's not involved. So what
[1:50:39] Speaker 1: is Cody doing on that show? That's the only problem
[1:50:42] Speaker 1: with that idea. But it does sound like something WWE
[1:50:48] Speaker 1: would do. I feel bad for Sammy though it'd be
[1:50:51] Speaker 1: almost be as bad as what they did with Kofy
[1:50:53] Speaker 1: and Brock. I don't think anything will be as bad
[1:50:55] Speaker 1: as that, but that would be almost as bad as that.
[1:51:02] Speaker 1: But that does sound like very much a WWE type
[1:51:05] Speaker 1: of thing that they would do. So thanks, I hope
[1:51:09] Speaker 1: you're wrong. Thanks, I hate it. We've got timb toes.
[1:51:19] Speaker 1: Been loving the show since twenty ten. Glad to see
[1:51:21] Speaker 1: you're still going strong. Be well, my friend, Hey brother,
[1:51:24] Speaker 1: I appreciate that Timby the timb or Thimby me Thimby,
[1:51:32] Speaker 1: unlike Wemby, get ship on by Michael Cole every week, Speedy,
[1:51:39] Speaker 1: what are the odds now of a Cody heel turn.
[1:51:44] Speaker 1: I think they're still very low. I smoked a lot
[1:51:50] Speaker 1: of weed. Is Cody a bigger star than Randy in
[1:51:54] Speaker 1: his career? Yes, Aaron, Gunther and all this got in
[1:52:07] Speaker 1: a fight on the post show. Oh my god, don't
[1:52:13] Speaker 1: tell me. Don't tell me that that's gonna be their
[1:52:15] Speaker 1: idea for Gunther wrestle the GM. Let me tell you something.
[1:52:25] Speaker 1: If that ends up being the match, considering where Gunther
[1:52:31] Speaker 1: was six months ago and they picked him to be
[1:52:34] Speaker 1: in that spot to retire John Cena. If six months
[1:52:36] Speaker 1: later he's wrestling the general manager at SummerSlam, that's just
[1:52:40] Speaker 1: that's an epic failure of WWE creative. Just an epic failure.
[1:52:51] Speaker 1: Hey gamer dude, thank you brother, listening to the sound
[1:52:54] Speaker 1: of while I'm on the grind listening for over a decade.
[1:53:00] Speaker 1: Now keep doing your thing. I'm trying, man, I'm trying.
[1:53:05] Speaker 1: I'm here every week. Eric the Shawn. I read his
[1:53:09] Speaker 1: super chat earlier, but I gotta say thank you again
[1:53:13] Speaker 1: for that fifty dollars Gunhar. But I only wish Gunhar
[1:53:15] Speaker 1: was working tonight and he can pop up. But I
[1:53:19] Speaker 1: appreciate it, brother, Thank you for the fifty. It's the
[1:53:22] Speaker 1: biggest one all night. Chris Bars with a ten says yes,
[1:53:27] Speaker 1: oh solo Monster, I acknowledge you as our king. Here
[1:53:32] Speaker 1: we go s yeah, that's what I like. What I
[1:53:34] Speaker 1: like hearing let me put my crown back on. I'm
[1:53:41] Speaker 1: proud to serve. Jeremy says, why does Jay still at
[1:53:45] Speaker 1: the baby face entrance? He's a fucking heel? Twenty twenty
[1:53:48] Speaker 1: six Wrestling fans popping for his entrance annoy me and
[1:53:51] Speaker 1: I'm a j fan. Why does Roman still get cheered
[1:53:57] Speaker 1: even though he's a heel? La Knight is not wrong
[1:54:00] Speaker 1: in anything that he says when he's on TV every
[1:54:02] Speaker 1: single week. Roman Like. The only time that La Night
[1:54:04] Speaker 1: gets booed is whenever he says something negative about Roman,
[1:54:07] Speaker 1: and then the fans chang oh tc, oh TC. Sean
[1:54:16] Speaker 1: Sanders says obi Oba tapped Jay rematch on Raw. Here
[1:54:23] Speaker 1: comes the paint. That wasn't a tap. I know what
[1:54:26] Speaker 1: part of the match you're talking about that was not
[1:54:27] Speaker 1: a tap? Are you trying to will something into existence
[1:54:37] Speaker 1: with Jay Usa? Because I will not allow it. T
[1:54:40] Speaker 1: Max says, Bruh, I thought bron versus Rollins cooked. I
[1:54:46] Speaker 1: mean the latter part of the match. Did The first
[1:54:48] Speaker 1: half of the match was fucking boring. I thought it
[1:54:52] Speaker 1: turned into a pretty good match by the end. As
[1:54:56] Speaker 1: far as the show itself, he says three and a
[1:54:59] Speaker 1: half out of five because of that main event, I
[1:55:06] Speaker 1: might go three out of five. It was not better
[1:55:10] Speaker 1: than that. This was a very mid show outside of
[1:55:14] Speaker 1: that main event. I'm sorry, Jeremy Rose Drew seeing Sammy
[1:55:18] Speaker 1: Winn got him licking his chops. Oh yeah, you know what,
[1:55:22] Speaker 1: that's a great point. That is a great point. Sammy's like,
[1:55:26] Speaker 1: oh for eleven against Drew McIntyre and Drew McIntyre. He's
[1:55:30] Speaker 1: he's rubbing his hands together. Are you kidding me? That
[1:55:33] Speaker 1: championship's coming home? Jeremy says, is Cody gonna do the
[1:55:42] Speaker 1: babyface thing and congratulate Sammy or are we gonna lean
[1:55:45] Speaker 1: into heal Cody? And he gives him no credit for
[1:55:48] Speaker 1: a fluke win. I think for for Cody's character, he'll
[1:55:53] Speaker 1: give you know, he'll give credit to Sammy words due,
[1:55:56] Speaker 1: those are the rules of a triple threat match. He
[1:55:58] Speaker 1: knew the risks coming in. There's nothing that Sammy did
[1:56:03] Speaker 1: in the match that was really out of bounds and
[1:56:09] Speaker 1: I think he'll give him credit. Johnny Burny watched Sammy
[1:56:18] Speaker 1: drop the belt to Brock in eighteen seconds. It's Saturday
[1:56:21] Speaker 1: Nights made Events. Oh good. Alexander says, Eo is now
[1:56:26] Speaker 1: Queen of the Sky. Yes she is. Jeremy says, do
[1:56:30] Speaker 1: you see Bloodline beating down Oba and Roman wearing the
[1:56:33] Speaker 1: crown on raw like he did with Xavier Woods. Probably not.
[1:56:40] Speaker 1: It's one thing to beat down Xavier Woods. Plus they
[1:56:47] Speaker 1: would just be recycling the same angle. Aaron says, Triple
[1:56:55] Speaker 1: H is so afraid of booze that he didn't go
[1:56:58] Speaker 1: to give the crowns up. You were talking about liquor.
[1:57:02] Speaker 1: He's a teetotaler. He's afraid of the booze. Bader Mohammed.
[1:57:09] Speaker 1: I was at the show and I was desperate for
[1:57:11] Speaker 1: Sammy to win the title, he says. I didn't think
[1:57:14] Speaker 1: that they were going to pull the trigger, especially at
[1:57:19] Speaker 1: this show, but they did. Hats off to you. You
[1:57:23] Speaker 1: called it on TNT. I was just hoping, man, I
[1:57:26] Speaker 1: was hoping. I said, show some balls and put the
[1:57:31] Speaker 1: belt on Sammy, and that's what they did. I'm very happy,
[1:57:35] Speaker 1: but I hope you enjoyed the show. Baterer, so you
[1:57:37] Speaker 1: got to be there for history. History was made with
[1:57:41] Speaker 1: Sammy's big win. Asu Amy Jade Cargill wrestles like she
[1:57:45] Speaker 1: is going through the match with her opponent before the show.
[1:57:49] Speaker 1: That's because she probably is. I said that match that
[1:57:53] Speaker 1: she had it was the King of the Ring qualifying
[1:57:58] Speaker 1: match that she had with the four way with Charlotte
[1:58:03] Speaker 1: Soul and Lyra unsmacked down a few weeks ago. Especially
[1:58:08] Speaker 1: when she was in there with Charlotte, it looked like
[1:58:09] Speaker 1: it was her first day at wrestling school, or not
[1:58:13] Speaker 1: her first day of wrestling school. It looked like her
[1:58:15] Speaker 1: first day at school, finally being ready to have a match.
[1:58:19] Speaker 1: That's what it looked like. Alexander, we need Gunhar against
[1:58:25] Speaker 1: Dragonov three, but it won't happen. Yeah, it's too bad.
[1:58:33] Speaker 1: It really sucks. Nick Grosso with a nine ninety nine,
[1:58:37] Speaker 1: I think Oba picks Roman and they do Brocko but three.
[1:58:40] Speaker 1: It's Saturday Night's made event in Madison Square Garden. And
[1:58:45] Speaker 1: I also still think there's a chance they do Gunther
[1:58:47] Speaker 1: against Brock at Summerslime, because what else do you do
[1:58:51] Speaker 1: with Gunther at Summer Slime. Well, evidently it might be
[1:58:56] Speaker 1: Nick Aldos I don't know. Also another idea for Brock
[1:59:03] Speaker 1: at SummerSlam, Breaker leaves the Vision and Hayman sends the
[1:59:07] Speaker 1: Beast after him and we get Lesnar against Breaker. That
[1:59:11] Speaker 1: could work as long as Breaker wins. Bron has to win.
[1:59:18] Speaker 1: He lost the cage match. If you are going to
[1:59:21] Speaker 1: do him and Brock, he must win that match. Otherwise,
[1:59:26] Speaker 1: don't do the match. He would have to win. Aaron says,
[1:59:30] Speaker 1: will Saudi top Vegas for worst WrestleMania crowd? Eh? I
[1:59:36] Speaker 1: don't know if tonight was any indication. I'm not terribly
[1:59:40] Speaker 1: optimistic about it, Alex despiteful rache. First, the Knicks winning
[1:59:46] Speaker 1: a chip, Now Sammy's Ain winning a WWE championship. So
[1:59:51] Speaker 1: many underdog wild cards this year. Congrats to him. Well
[1:59:55] Speaker 1: then you know. On that note, I'll put this question
[1:59:57] Speaker 1: to you guys, because some of you may know more
[1:59:59] Speaker 1: about it than I would. If this is the year
[2:00:02] Speaker 1: of the underdog, who would you say would be considered
[2:00:07] Speaker 1: the underdog team right now in the World Cup. Maybe
[2:00:12] Speaker 1: it's their year. I don't know. I don't know who
[2:00:17] Speaker 1: the underdog would be m v K. It was another
[2:00:22] Speaker 1: scuffle solo between Gunther and Nick all this and it
[2:00:25] Speaker 1: got physical. Yes, I know. They just mentioned that to me.
[2:00:30] Speaker 1: So either what they're gonna wrestle or all this is
[2:00:32] Speaker 1: gonna suspend him and they're just they don't have anything
[2:00:35] Speaker 1: for Gunther, so they'll just take them off TV for
[2:00:37] Speaker 1: a while. Good morning, Cheza, Good morning to you. Toya.
[2:00:45] Speaker 1: Ain't nice. They had a backstage segment with gun Through
[2:00:48] Speaker 1: and Nick nick Aldis could have a match there, Thank you, Toya.
[2:01:00] Speaker 1: Alexander says Gunhar needs to drop the career killer gimmick. Now,
[2:01:05] Speaker 1: he's not fooling anyone with this amount of losses that
[2:01:07] Speaker 1: he has. Now it still says career killer on his
[2:01:11] Speaker 1: tron when he comes out, But they really haven't been
[2:01:14] Speaker 1: focusing on it too much on commentary because it's a
[2:01:16] Speaker 1: stupid gimmick. So I agree and Fox with a nine
[2:01:21] Speaker 1: ninety nine. I saw Obsession a couple of days ago,
[2:01:23] Speaker 1: and Wow, it was good. The actress was amazing. I
[2:01:26] Speaker 1: felt bad for her character the whole movie says, but man,
[2:01:30] Speaker 1: I hate the ending. That is not exactly a happy ending.
[2:01:33] Speaker 1: There's nothing really happy about the movie. But to me,
[2:01:38] Speaker 1: it's the best movie all year so far. I loved it.
[2:01:44] Speaker 1: I thought it was great, but it's not exactly what
[2:01:46] Speaker 1: you would call a feel good tale. Link Master says
[2:01:53] Speaker 1: Kofi had at least two more world title reigns in him.
[2:01:57] Speaker 1: No he didn't. I mean, look, we're being honest here.
[2:02:04] Speaker 1: No he didn't. Uh, super Pony. Do you think Ko
[2:02:09] Speaker 1: will get his moment like Sammy did today when he
[2:02:11] Speaker 1: comes back? It's a crime that he's never been WWE champion.
[2:02:15] Speaker 1: I think the fact that Sammy just won the belt
[2:02:17] Speaker 1: makes it more likely. I'd like to think the answer
[2:02:20] Speaker 1: is yes, Tyler Hansen, punk versus Roads at Summer Slim,
[2:02:28] Speaker 1: if not, then at Wrestlemany of forty three? Yeah, but
[2:02:33] Speaker 1: are you saying Punk versus Roads at Summer Slim non title?
[2:02:38] Speaker 1: That would be bold if they did it on the
[2:02:40] Speaker 1: undercard and not as a main event, because to me,
[2:02:43] Speaker 1: that's a main event, and if it's going to be
[2:02:46] Speaker 1: in the main event, then it has to be for
[2:02:47] Speaker 1: the title. And Toya says Brock's last match should be
[2:02:54] Speaker 1: at Summer slam O, but can work two nights if
[2:02:57] Speaker 1: need be, And those I think I'm all caught up. Oh, Buffman,
[2:03:05] Speaker 1: forty two months of membership, No. Sixty two? Where'd I
[2:03:10] Speaker 1: get forty two from sixty two months, says America, though
[2:03:16] Speaker 1: Hosting is considered an underdog in this tournament. Interesting, who
[2:03:26] Speaker 1: did somebody say before Cabo Cabo Verde? Hunter hates Owens,
[2:03:36] Speaker 1: He'll never win the best? Wait, mean he hates Owens.
[2:03:40] Speaker 1: Owens was like his boy in na I mean, he
[2:03:43] Speaker 1: wasn't in NXT for very long. I never got the
[2:03:49] Speaker 1: impression he hated him. The old Triple H would have
[2:03:52] Speaker 1: hated the old Triple H like when he was still
[2:03:55] Speaker 1: wrestling many many years ago, like way pre NXT. The
[2:04:00] Speaker 1: kind of person that he would have like in production
[2:04:03] Speaker 1: meetings or meetings with Vince booking meetings, he would have
[2:04:05] Speaker 1: completely shit on somebody who looked like Kevin Owens. And
[2:04:10] Speaker 1: he probably still feels the same way as he felt
[2:04:13] Speaker 1: back then. Right, Leopard never really changes his spots, but
[2:04:16] Speaker 1: now that he's in a position of power, he understands
[2:04:18] Speaker 1: that he needs people like that on the roster. But
[2:04:22] Speaker 1: he would completely bury this shit out of somebody who
[2:04:26] Speaker 1: dressed like Owens, look like Owens, because Triple HS is
[2:04:29] Speaker 1: a body guy. If you know, look the part, you're
[2:04:32] Speaker 1: not a champion, right, But then again, Sammy's ain is
[2:04:36] Speaker 1: now WWE champions, so maybe he's changed his views. All right,
[2:04:41] Speaker 1: you guys are getting a round to be the booker.
[2:04:44] Speaker 1: You guys unlocked it, and so let's go ahead and
[2:04:47] Speaker 1: do it. Be the booker time. Ladies are gentlemen. It
[2:04:50] Speaker 1: is now time to be the booker. Cape Verde are
[2:04:58] Speaker 1: technically the lowest team to make it to round of
[2:05:01] Speaker 1: thirty two. Sounds like an underdog to me. Allright, we go,
[2:05:12] Speaker 1: oh my god, fucking low down on a night where
[2:05:20] Speaker 1: Sammy Zaine won the big one, we needed a big
[2:05:22] Speaker 1: night to be the booker. And we start with Lowdown, Dlo,
[2:05:27] Speaker 1: Brown and Mash from the Headbangers. Chaz, look at this.
[2:05:36] Speaker 1: This was the thing. This was a real thing. By
[2:05:38] Speaker 1: the way, I have no idea why. Oh man, you know,
[2:05:47] Speaker 1: I uh, I was gonna give this the easy buzz,
[2:05:50] Speaker 1: but you know what, just the fact that we have
[2:05:55] Speaker 1: the brainbusters in here. You got Ron, you got Tully,
[2:05:58] Speaker 1: Dlo is great. I think they can make something out
[2:06:04] Speaker 1: of this. I'm surprised in myself that I gave that
[2:06:12] Speaker 1: the bell. But once I saw Arn and Tully and Bobby,
[2:06:17] Speaker 1: I said, I had to uh choose four women and
[2:06:21] Speaker 1: book a tag team and then we just do this
[2:06:23] Speaker 1: last night, choose four women and book a tag team match.
[2:06:30] Speaker 1: I guess we're booking a women's tag team title match,
[2:06:34] Speaker 1: so you get two tag team matches tonight. Oscar, Yes,
[2:06:39] Speaker 1: all right, who's gonna be teaming up with Oscar? It's
[2:06:43] Speaker 1: gonna be Oscar and it's going to be Corrigeade. That's
[2:06:48] Speaker 1: not the team I was expecting. Oscar and Coorage Aide
[2:06:53] Speaker 1: against Victoria. Ooh, Oscar and Victoria on opposing teams, and
[2:07:01] Speaker 1: Victoria's partner Kyrie saying, well, now I'll talk about being
[2:07:10] Speaker 1: on opposing sides. Kyrie will finally get her revenge that
[2:07:14] Speaker 1: WWE did not give her. She's gonna fuck up Oscar
[2:07:17] Speaker 1: in this match. Victoria and Kyrie against Osca and Corey
[2:07:23] Speaker 1: j Ag. I wonder who's taken the pin in this match.
[2:07:27] Speaker 1: It's the only reason Kora j eight is in there.
[2:07:31] Speaker 1: I love that. I love it. Oscar and Kyrie on
[2:07:33] Speaker 1: opposing teams. Seeing if Triple H isn't gonna give you
[2:07:37] Speaker 1: the payoff, I will at least you'll get it here.
[2:07:45] Speaker 1: Kyrie's revenge. That's right, that's right. Atmax says we USA
[2:07:53] Speaker 1: definitely the underdogs to win the Cup. Well, I guess
[2:07:57] Speaker 1: if the USA wins, it'll be officially the year of
[2:07:59] Speaker 1: the Underdog. And in the main event we have William Regal.
[2:08:10] Speaker 1: He's a former King of the Ring. Oh boy, William Regal,
[2:08:20] Speaker 1: who has an awful lot of metal in his neck,
[2:08:24] Speaker 1: is going into battle with brock Leisure and that seems
[2:08:30] Speaker 1: like a very bad idea because he's going to be
[2:08:33] Speaker 1: dumped on his head a whole bunch of times. He's
[2:08:35] Speaker 1: going to be taken to Supplex City, and I don't
[2:08:39] Speaker 1: think that would be very good for William Regal, but
[2:08:43] Speaker 1: I will give it the bell and that is a
[2:08:45] Speaker 1: clean sweep. There you go. Some very interesting matches there
[2:08:53] Speaker 1: that we were able to book. Even though I was
[2:08:57] Speaker 1: not enamored with this card, I still think that this
[2:09:00] Speaker 1: card was better than what we just booked. Although the
[2:09:06] Speaker 1: women's tag match intrigues me, but that was not our
[2:09:09] Speaker 1: strongest be the booker. Pray pray for Regal. Regal isn't cleared.
[2:09:18] Speaker 1: Oba gets Brock. Oba is the replacement. Regal is not
[2:09:23] Speaker 1: medically cleared. Hey, sweet, A sweep is a sweet man.
[2:09:28] Speaker 1: There you go. Anyway, thank you guys for hanging out
[2:09:31] Speaker 1: with me on a Saturday afternoon Slash evening and coming

[2:10:34] Speaker 1: first time, Sammy Zain is WWE Champion. May sell It's
[2:10:39] Speaker 1: a good night. I'll see tomorrow
