[0:01] Unknown: Adam curry Josie Devora
[0:04] Adam Curry: 2820 24 This is your award winning give a nation
[0:07] media assassination episode 1681 This
[0:11] Unknown: is no agenda, defending the Hill
[0:14] Adam Curry: Country and broadcasting live from the heart
[0:17] of the country here in FEMA Region number six. In the
[0:20] morning, everybody. I'm Adam curry came
[0:23] John C Dvorak: from Northern Silicon Valley where we all
[0:25] congratulate terreno Fuji for winning his 10th tournament. I'm
[0:29] John Cena borax.
[0:31] Unknown: Buzzkill
[0:35] Adam Curry: it's amazing. Only one podcast would have sports
[0:39] news. That is not the Olympics and it's this one. incorrectly.
[0:44] Congratulations to Tara fugi. What's his name? Tara Anna Fucci
[0:47] Tara Anna Fuji. He won the Big Fat Man one. That's what I
[0:50] thought I thought the big
[0:51] John C Dvorak: fat guy was not as fat as the other guys, but he
[0:54] is now a die Yokozuna.
[0:58] Adam Curry: Wow. And what is the is there a Do you have to be a
[1:04] minimum? Wait for him? No, there's
[1:07] John C Dvorak: actually a small guy named Midori Fuji.
[1:10] Adam Curry: Yeah, he got his ass kicked out here. No law guy.
[1:14] John C Dvorak: He's actually won more than he lost and he is what
[1:18] is very entertaining to watch. He uses he's just fast. He's out
[1:23] there zooming around. These guys don't know what to do and then
[1:25] they fall down and not on their ass.
[1:29] Adam Curry: Well, I have some news. Some Texas news. J cow was
[1:35] moving to the Austin area. What? Yeah, no. He Wow. He texted me
[1:43] yesterday. sent me a picture of the ranch he bought. It's
[1:47] outside of our ranch. Yeah, horse ranch is beautiful. It's
[1:50] beautiful. And, yes, he's like, hey, you
[1:54] John C Dvorak: know when you have a ranch, you have to
[1:55] maintain it. Well, he's
[1:56] Adam Curry: gonna live there. Yeah, well.
[1:59] John C Dvorak: He's not going to be a ranch ranch.
[2:02] Adam Curry: Ranch. I
[2:03] John C Dvorak: don't think so. Yeah, I see. Hey,
[2:05] Adam Curry: you see? Where's your helipad? Man. I can't visit
[2:07] if you don't have a helipad. I'm gonna be I want to make one. I
[2:10] make a helipad. Yeah. And he's gonna build a studio is a whole
[2:14] thing. He's doing studio. Yeah. All right. Build the studio.
[2:17] I'll bring people by be fun. It'll be interesting to have Jay
[2:21] Cal. He's not in Austin. Thank God. Because man. I mean, he
[2:25] would hate that. Yeah, he said, I'm giving up I've given up on
[2:28] California selling everything. I hate it. Sucks. Moving to Texas.
[2:35] We're talking about Jason Calacanis. For those who don't
[2:37] know who of course we've known for 35 years, maybe we know
[2:41] forever.
[2:43] John C Dvorak: I didn't never never as JKL is always Jason to
[2:48] me, Jason.
[2:49] Adam Curry: Now is Jake, how is Jacob? Hey, think of it this
[2:52] way. Maybe I'll get invited on the all in podcast. Yeah. Once
[2:57] you do that. We haven't tapped that audience yet.
[3:00] John C Dvorak: Yeah, yeah. Okay. They got audio back on Rogen.
[3:07] The audience back? Oh, yeah. Let
[3:10] Adam Curry: me give Joe a call. Hey, hey, Joe. John says I gotta
[3:13] get back on the show. Where's your interviews man? Get
[3:18] John C Dvorak: on Tucker.
[3:19] Adam Curry: Ha I'd love to go on Tucker. He should have me on
[3:22] just just because he loves podcasting so much. He should
[3:25] John C Dvorak: hide. That's what I'm thinking. Yeah.
[3:28] Adam Curry: Now he's busy. He's busy doing stuff. Um, we're
[3:32] small potatoes, face it. small potatoes or nothing. Okay, if
[3:38] all the things that we have on our plate today, I think we're
[3:41] just gonna have to stick on one thing. And one. I mean, I'm just
[3:45] going to keep hammering this until
[3:47] John C Dvorak: you you attack Shula the whole time No, I don't
[3:49] think so. Is it boring?
[3:51] Adam Curry: Oh, come on. Oh, please. Oh, no, I think that
[3:56] there is something horrible happening in the United States.
[4:00] That is is obvious is not being discussed. And I think it's I
[4:07] know it's done for political reasons, but I think it's wrong.
[4:10] Because who is this Daddy Long Legs pretending to be our
[4:14] president? Stop it we have no one in charge. This
[4:19] John C Dvorak: is hilarious. I agree with this guy
[4:21] Adam Curry: is not Joe Biden. It's obvious. I don't know why
[4:26] him run
[4:26] John C Dvorak: it. You know, they put up the big boy steps on
[4:29] the Air Force One and he basically ran up them. Yeah. And
[4:32] then
[4:32] Adam Curry: he had to duck to get in. Yeah, this guy has to
[4:35] get it and you see you see real Joe Biden or whatever. Standing
[4:40] next to Jill. You know, he's she comes up a little bit above his
[4:43] shoulders. And then this guy we're just gonna call daddy long
[4:46] legs. He's he's like he's and
[4:50] John C Dvorak: by the way, I think the moniker is good,
[4:51] because the thing that's most notable, but he has really long
[4:55] legs. And
[4:57] Adam Curry: you know, so I'm talking to Tina about this. And
[4:59] so first of all, is it The is that you know, Joe was is not
[5:03] doing well, health wise by the way someone sent in an
[5:05] interesting note saying those bruises on his face probably
[5:09] from a hospital CPAP mask.
[5:12] John C Dvorak: You know, the funny world does it go that
[5:15] high? The funny thing is once you pointed that out to me,
[5:18] yeah, I can't watch that. No, not see it. And I also see the
[5:21] sight of is, besides that bruise that you're talking about up and
[5:24] down on his forehead? Which CPAP I don't think
[5:27] Adam Curry: I mean, we've got left
[5:29] John C Dvorak: side of his face is swollen. Yes. So it
[5:33] Adam Curry: could be from a fall could be because you or you
[5:36] know, I mean, the actual oxygen mask that is on in the hospital,
[5:42] if they don't rotate it the way they should. It can leave
[5:45] bruises is what I've been led to understand we have our ends and
[5:48] all kinds of medical
[5:51] John C Dvorak: debt assertion. Sure. So now,
[5:53] Adam Curry: Seymour Hersh, who I think you and I both trust, you
[5:57] know, he's he's, he's had pretty good sources. In the past. He's,
[6:01] you know, he's independent, that's for sure. i By the way, I
[6:04] support his substack. I love that he does that. So he wrote
[6:09] today, that by July, I'll read this from his substack July 20.
[6:16] Former President Barack Obama was deeply involved in the Joe
[6:18] Biden getting rid of Joe Biden, there was talk that he would
[6:21] place a call to Biden he was not clear where the Biden had been
[6:24] examined, or just what happened to him in Las Vegas, the big
[6:27] three. This official said to Hirsch referring to the former
[6:31] House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck
[6:33] Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, continued to be
[6:37] directly involved on Sunday morning, with the approval of
[6:40] Pelosi and Schumer Obama called Biden after breakfast breakfast
[6:43] and said, Here's the deal is a quote. Now, here's the deal,
[6:47] Joe, we have Kamala approval to invoke the 25th amendment. And
[6:54] so this is what foresee
[6:55] John C Dvorak: the guy that from his sorcery got it from our last
[6:58] show. Well, that's possible.
[7:00] Adam Curry: So, Joe had no other choice, but I think Joe really
[7:04] is on on the ropes, medically speaking. And and from what I
[7:11] understand, the Obamas hung back a little bit before this phony
[7:16] baloney call with Kamala, because she was three cameras
[7:20] shoot, I might amorous shoot, and she's miked. And even though
[7:24] she's waving the phone around, it seems it sounds exactly the
[7:27] same speakerphone sounds great. Complete Edit. In fact, let's
[7:30] play it. It's only 45 seconds. Now, did he say it wrong? Did he
[7:36] say Is he supposed to say Kamala Kamala? I don't know. It's
[7:40] John C Dvorak: camel like Pamela Kamala.
[7:44] Unknown: Hey there.
[7:47] You're both together. Oh, it's good to hear you.
[7:50] Adam Curry: You're both together too rare.
[7:52] Unknown: I can't have this phone call without saying to my girl
[7:56] Kamala script,
[7:57] I am proud of you.
[7:59] This is going to be historic, we
[8:02] call to say, Michelle and I couldn't be prouder to endorse
[8:06] you and to do everything we can to get you through this election
[8:09] and into the Oval Office.
[8:10] Oh, my goodness script. Oh my goodness, our practice means so
[8:14] much to me. I'm looking listen to
[8:16] Adam Curry: how her mic sounds. And then how the phone sounds
[8:20] really direct and not distant. Like her mic is so phony
[8:23] Unknown: doing this with the two of you.
[8:25] Adam Curry: But here's how it went. Listen, we got to do
[8:28] something, but we don't want to talk to her. Because we don't
[8:31] actually want to talk to her, you will just we'll just record
[8:33] something and play it back. And
[8:35] Unknown: I both and getting out there being on the road. But
[8:40] most of all, I just want to tell you that the words you have
[8:43] spoken and the friendship that you have given over all these
[8:46] years, I mean more than I can express so thank you both means
[8:50] so much. And and we're gonna have some fun with this, too.
[8:54] All right.
[8:54] Adam Curry: So here's the problem. Here's the bottom line
[8:58] problem. She obviously Joe cannot die or be incapacitated
[9:03] President Biden I should say, until the election, because then
[9:07] she would actually be in charge and then she would be blamed for
[9:11] all the crime, everything everything. So they bring in for
[9:15] what and I don't understand. So Daddy Long Legs comes in, you
[9:19] know, go to the Olympics and walk around. It's he's literally
[9:23] like one of those dudes on stilts. It's so obvious. Do they
[9:27] think? Could they not get better? What could
[9:30] John C Dvorak: they not find a guy that was Biden's frame and
[9:34] stature? Well, the only thing is wearing a Biden mask obviously.
[9:38] Yeah, yeah. The discuss this
[9:39] Adam Curry: enough. The only thing I can think is that the
[9:44] CIA disguised lady. She said that, you know, it's relatively
[9:48] easy to do. But you need a donor body and maybe they just I mean,
[9:54] he's kind of got the right head. He can do a bit of the walk. I
[9:57] mean, let me just replay this from the CIA chief. up the skies
[10:00] from we played on the last show. This is from our TED Talk. This
[10:03] Unknown: was sort of the culmination of my career as the
[10:06] chief of disguise. I, I know that once we did this, once we
[10:12] could create these, think of what we could do, we could
[10:15] change you into anything, we could change your gender, a man
[10:19] into a woman, that's a little hard men didn't like to do that
[10:22] a woman into a man that was easier, we could change your
[10:25] ethnicity, we could change your nationality. The most fun thing
[10:30] we could do is we could make another you we could make your
[10:34] twin. So there could be two of you we needed to find a donor
[10:38] who would kind of match height weight, but we can make a second
[10:42] view so
[10:44] Adam Curry: they can match your height and weight but they this
[10:46] is such cases gaslighting, what is it? Why are they doing this?
[10:50] Do Are we stupid?
[10:54] John C Dvorak: This is what I don't understand me why they
[10:56] picked this long legged guy. But it's clear that he's doing it to
[11:00] signals maybe signaling you know, that may be part of the
[11:03] idea to get in trumping without making it too obvious.
[11:07] Adam Curry: Oh, oh, so this is sick. Wait, here's an idea. So
[11:12] it's signaling in order to actually because the Obamas hate
[11:15] Kamala is they hate her. Well,
[11:18] John C Dvorak: I do have a clip about this. Well, let's let
[11:21] relates to what your clip your discussion of hers. First.
[11:25] Adam Curry: Yes versus her shmore This
[11:29] John C Dvorak: this I picked off of a one of the Fox shows they
[11:33] had Monica Crowley on with an analysis that night dot a big
[11:38] fan of Monica Crowley but I have to say this Monica Crowley clip.
[11:42] I think she's got some inside sources and she knows what she's
[11:46] talking about. This is quite good. But Monica first, here we
[11:49] are the Obamas have endorsed Kamala, does it ring true to
[11:53] you? And will it help?
[11:54] Unknown: Well, they're very late to the party and very reluctant.
[11:57] So according to the reporting that we've seen so far, Charlie
[12:01] and Pete What we know is that Barack Obama had an alternative
[12:05] plan, ready to go he wanted Joe Biden removed. He saw that he
[12:09] could not when the New York Post was reporting that they actually
[12:13] moved up the debate because they were trying to frame Joe Biden
[12:17] they knew that he would implode, so they wanted enough time and
[12:21] runway to replace him with someone else. Obama had a
[12:24] different plan in mind, and it was not Kamala Harris, but
[12:28] Kamala Harris proved to be very widely along with her handlers.
[12:32] She was able to accelerate the process to lock up the support
[12:36] and the money so that her nomination was a fait accompli,
[12:40] she got Joe Biden on board to endorse her. She got the
[12:43] Clintons on board and remember Mrs. Clinton lost to Barack
[12:47] Obama in 2008. So she got her little bit of revenge as well.
[12:51] So Kamala got a fait accompli of a nomination. She got the
[12:55] Obama's endorsement now at this late date. So the word of
[13:00] warning to everybody here is do not underestimate Kamala and her
[13:04] handlers, because they boxed out Obama, they outmaneuvered him
[13:09] really for probably the first time in his political career. He
[13:13] is not very happy about it. They will hit the campaign trail for
[13:16] Kamala, but he will not be an enthusiastic supporter. Trust
[13:20] me.
[13:22] Adam Curry: Ah, you know, and that's the way to get rid of her
[13:26] the way and would have, okay, I'm liking this.
[13:30] John C Dvorak: So do you have one more follow up if you want
[13:32] to hear it? Yeah.
[13:33] Adam Curry: And then then I want to come up with my one. To
[13:36] follow up.
[13:37] John C Dvorak: It was done before Biden quit. And it
[13:41] discusses Kamala being the conniver candidate conniving
[13:45] Kamala I like it conniving Kamala and curiously it's from
[13:50] Pastor Manning Alright, hold regular on the show. goes off on
[13:56] Pamela yay it's
[13:58] Adam Curry: the good pasture. Everybody's
[13:59] Unknown: woman was flaunting her relationship with Willie Brown
[14:01] former mayor of San Francisco you know, so sweet, really?
[14:05] Sweet Willie Brown we live in the restaurants down the wharf,
[14:15] you know and when it brown and married my Erin public while she
[14:20] was a district attorney, he she was the adulterous going with
[14:24] this man you know, in and all this all over again pick up the
[14:29] daily British newspaper they I mean, they covered it remember
[14:33] the people in the Frisco Frisco area didn't cover in America
[14:36] they didn't bring it up against it either. But now this one was
[14:39] from her relationship with sweet Willie Brown and they were
[14:42] getting in on this and she did Dana black man called Willis by
[14:45] the Black didn't get that guy a black woman was cold but here
[14:48] what what is it? What does he man he's Jewish guy right. And I
[14:51] might use Jews. I don't hate Amazon. That's right. I'm not
[14:54] against Jews. Me. No, I believe in Abraham. Jesus to you. Isn't
[15:00] Marin is Jewish guys sums up? I can't believe that love it for a
[15:06] site or any other site sums up some stuff that woman is up to.
[15:11] So that is that's a Cronin woman stuff. I think she married that
[15:16] guy sums up thumbs up until you got I think I think I think
[15:21] Willie Brown had her nose open now y'all don't know that her.
[15:26] Y'all don't know that. But I think Willie Brown I think she
[15:29] was really kind of going for Willie Brown. She was hanging on
[15:32] him. He tried to hear after he dumped her Willie Brown. Y'all
[15:35] know sweet Willie, this. We didn't make it. The two of them
[15:42] I think Willie Brown had a no to him. I think she really liked
[15:45] him. You know, and now she ends up at the date Willie Brown.
[15:49] Sweet Willie, she marries this Jewish guy. I just don't know
[15:52] Jewish men to be great lover. Let's get on. I'm not against
[15:56] Jewish food. No, no, this sums up with a camera bag and Blake
[16:05] Harris. And Joe Biden better watch himself. I can tell you
[16:08] that right now.
[16:09] Adam Curry: Wow. Wow. Manning, of course, the progenitor of the
[16:13] long leg magnetic. That's right. So we've got a new long leg mack
[16:20] daddy. Okay, so how about this? So we had all this trickery
[16:25] going on. Kamala slides in Obama's are pissed. Obama say
[16:30] okay, all right. Well, here's what we're going to do. By the
[16:34] way, Jill, and the kids Hunter, here's your net jets card. Okay,
[16:39] stop crying in the Oval Office, you get your net jets card along
[16:43] with the 100 million. Because we're going to put this Daddy
[16:46] Long Legs in into this, it'd be so obvious that people will just
[16:51] have to say, Wait a minute. That's not the president.
[16:55] Something's up. It's going to be a scandal. I'm not sure how it's
[17:01] going to come to light yet. But it has to be some kind of
[17:03] scandal. Kamala has to resume has to assume the presidency.
[17:10] Which I think if she doesn't become President, does she is
[17:13] she does he if he doesn't die, but if he's incapacitated, does
[17:19] she does she does her title change immediately?
[17:22] John C Dvorak: Only if she he's kicked out by the 25th
[17:24] amendment.
[17:25] Adam Curry: Okay, so she'll just be the acting president.
[17:28] Unknown: That
[17:31] Adam Curry: where's our constitutional scholars
[17:34] John C Dvorak: will tell us what what's what I
[17:36] Adam Curry: mean, she'll be the acting president who is good
[17:39] enough. And then we can really blame her for everything. This
[17:43] is a double crossed by the Obamas. There is no other reason
[17:48] for this because they've had better Biden, guys. I've seen
[17:52] him. I agree.
[17:53] John C Dvorak: There's something is amiss with this long legged
[17:56] bike. And the thing is, is notice it for some reason. It
[18:01] could be a tall, bigger guy, but it's a guy with these real he's
[18:03] got these ridiculously long legs. Obviously,
[18:08] Adam Curry: he has, it's like he has a 42 inseam. It's
[18:11] John C Dvorak: huge. And the and then the fact that he went up to
[18:14] long steps, racing Hello, everybody rushed up to LogStash
[18:20] and Biden is barely making it up the short steps. Why didn't they
[18:24] do something fishy about that? Because Why do you put up the
[18:27] long steps? Yeah, after we've had at least two years now
[18:31] shorties have the short steps. So now all of a sudden as long
[18:36] steps are that nobody's suspicious? What What a lie
[18:39] buddy suspicious I
[18:40] Adam Curry: mean if so this of course in the season of reveal
[18:43] I'm really hoping this is all takes place. Because there'll be
[18:46] a lot of splaining to do once once we we expose the whole
[18:51] concept of body doubles like this. I mean, people are gonna
[18:55] lose their their ever loving minds. Well,
[18:58] John C Dvorak: date we had to expose this with their Hillary
[19:00] with the person on the wrong side. Nobody cares about our
[19:03] podcast that faced Hillary it was even the same person. It
[19:06] wasn't even close.
[19:07] Adam Curry: Yeah, the bat her shoulder bag on the wrong
[19:09] shoulder. That was the tail. Oh, she
[19:11] John C Dvorak: had the wrong stature. She didn't say
[19:12] anything. Yeah, well, Biden actually kind of walks he puts
[19:18] his hands forward this phony Biden. Yeah, he puts his it says
[19:21] Adam Curry: call him daddy longlegs just call him one of
[19:23] his daddy long legs.
[19:25] John C Dvorak: He has a he tries to do the Biden gate but he
[19:28] doesn't quite do it. Oh, there everything's wrong. This guy.
[19:34] Adam Curry: I mean, literally, he walks out of the Oval Office
[19:36] where he looks like death warmed over. He's like, Hey,
[19:39] Unknown: everybody.
[19:39] Adam Curry: Look at my legs. Kick. It looks it's wilt the
[19:43] stilt
[19:44] John C Dvorak: Tommy Tune. Looks like Tommy. That's who it is.
[19:50] Adam Curry: Think Tommy Tune died is Tommy tunes still with
[19:53] us? I don't think he's telling
[19:54] John C Dvorak: me to and I did get to see him once on the show.
[19:58] He has got the longest list. Eggs. Yeah,
[20:02] Adam Curry: that's amazing. Well, so let's just go along
[20:06] here and follow this through. You remember who donated a
[20:10] million dollars to the Obama election campaign, television
[20:14] personality to University of California for one, one person,
[20:18] one dude, one guy with a TV show.
[20:21] John C Dvorak: Oh, yeah, Bill Maher. Harris
[20:24] Unknown: would be the first woman president, first black
[20:26] woman, president and first Asian president. But I don't vote for
[20:30] who will be the first. I vote for who will win. And for
[20:34] whatever reason, Harris has never been popular. You can
[20:38] count the number of delegates she won in the 2020 primaries on
[20:41] one hand, as long as that hand has no fingers.
[20:49] In three years as Vice President she has been quieter than an
[20:52] electric car. Unlike an electric car, your Maga uncle can't
[21:00] explain why she fills him with homicidal rage. She just does.
[21:05] Sometimes life isn't fair. It's not fair that she's not popular.
[21:09] She's intelligent and accomplished. And in fact wasn't
[21:12] put in charge of the border and look at how Okay, better
[21:17] Adam Curry: So, now I understand why this whole weekend Stephanie
[21:23] rule, you know, Stephanie rule, right? Yeah, the Goldman Sachs
[21:27] girl that the the guys on the trading floor like so much.
[21:30] That's just what I hear. Who by the way, I think is on ozempic
[21:34] Because she all of a sudden she has that kind of Oh, face. Full
[21:38] Face. I like that. So she so she title
[21:41] John C Dvorak: show title face?
[21:42] Adam Curry: I haven't we use something like that. Oh, face.
[21:45] Yeah. So. So she's doing all the primetime hours on MSNBC. She's
[21:50] bringing on as many black women as she can. And it's just like
[21:55] one weird anecdote after another. Here's the first
[22:01] Unknown: people are ready for this and ready to sort of
[22:04] continue that energy. I mean, talking about the Zoom call
[22:07] tonight it was white women organizing for president for
[22:10] vice president Harris. I was reading tweets that said they
[22:13] were they were raising $20,000. So this
[22:15] Adam Curry: is yummy ish, shabby chic. And she was normally you
[22:21] know, she was she's been heralded as quite the quite the
[22:24] journalist. Now she's hearing about Zoo. For a while there,
[22:29] she was all like, Yeah, but she, she would have production staff
[22:33] behind her. And now all she all she can report on is zoom calls,
[22:39] and I read a tweet. So she's doing a period she's not doing
[22:43] reporting she's doing. And I heard from someone familiar with
[22:46] the people on the calls thanking for
[22:48] Unknown: president for vice president Harris, I was reading
[22:51] tweets that said they were they were raising $20,000 In a few
[22:55] minutes, every 20 minutes, a tweet that I saw. So in some
[23:00] ways it follows and it does follow the Zoom calls that we
[23:03] saw earlier this week, on Sunday, I was on a zoom call
[23:05] that lasted until like one o'clock in the morning, and that
[23:07] was with 45,000 black women. And other people were on that Zoom
[23:11] call and they raised 1.5 million, we
[23:14] Adam Curry: don't have a screenshot of this zoom call, I
[23:16] want to see 40,000 windows million
[23:19] Unknown: dollars in about three hours, black men had their zoom
[23:21] call. And that's what you're seeing tonight, sort of a
[23:23] continuation of that enthusiasm. Is
[23:26] Adam Curry: there some list or not on? Is there? Are there zoom
[23:28] calls happening that I'm not being invited to?
[23:31] John C Dvorak: I'm thinking yes. When
[23:33] Unknown: it comes to sort of how they're going to keep this up,
[23:35] there's this idea that she's going to be out on the campaign
[23:37] trail a lot, all of my sources that are close to the campaign's
[23:41] thinking,
[23:41] Adam Curry: all of my sources that are close to the campaign's
[23:44] thinking. So she's not even talking to the campaign. She's
[23:48] talking to people who are close to the campaign's thinking,
[23:51] which is mind reading,
[23:54] Unknown: how they're going to keep this up. There's this idea
[23:56] that she's going to be out on the campaign trail a lot, all of
[23:58] my sources that are close to the campaign's thinking, tell me
[24:01] that she's going to be criss crossing this nation going to
[24:03] all sorts of states, one source that's close to the campaign
[24:06] told me that this is really going to be in some ways a soft
[24:10] issues. campaign. And what they meant by that was, it's going to
[24:14] be crime, it's going to be abortion, it's going to be the
[24:15] autonomy, but not sort of, here's my policy, go read my
[24:19] website, it's going to be how do I make you feel better? How do I
[24:22] make you feel safer? How do I make you feel like you're going
[24:25] to have more control over your body? If you elect me, this is
[24:28] Adam Curry: great. It's going to be a campaign of feelings. How
[24:32] do you feel about me, that's
[24:34] Unknown: going to be part of the argument that Vice President
[24:36] Harris is going to be making to Americans. And I think that
[24:39] she's going to be also harnessing all of the different
[24:41] bases in the Democratic Party to sort of rebuild a little bit of
[24:45] the Obama coalition but also her coalition.
[24:47] Adam Curry: Yeah, so that was your mace then we bring on this
[24:50] other woman. Also black and the whole panel
[24:53] John C Dvorak: niche by the way you miss Should I call her? Your
[24:56] nice Oh, yummy.
[24:59] Adam Curry: me okay. Here's the other one,
[25:01] Unknown: Yasmin.
[25:01] We're almost done with the first week of Harris's campaign. What
[25:06] have we learned about the tone and
[25:07] the message of this campaign?
[25:08] Adam Curry: Oh, thank you, Stephanie. Yeah, well,
[25:11] Unknown: I think the tone of the message was in those clips that
[25:14] you played of her today in Houston. We know as you said
[25:17] that she's going to be leaning on her prosecutorial backward
[25:20] background backwater,
[25:22] Adam Curry: but this wishy washy, prosecutorial back,
[25:25] backward, backwoods, backwater background,
[25:28] Unknown: we said that she's going to be leaning on her
[25:30] prosecutorial backwards, backwards, backwards,
[25:34] Adam Curry: backwards, backwards. All right, and Kotori
[25:37] Unknown: tutorial backwards background to juxtapose her
[25:41] candidacy versus Trump, we know that she's going to be talking
[25:44] about some of those kitchen table issues that were really
[25:47] centered and focused in her 2019 run. And we know that she is
[25:51] going to be leaning on this momentum and energy that she
[25:55] feels or that you feel when watching her in these rallies. I
[26:01] know I was in Milwaukee on Tuesday, and I saw just how
[26:05] energetic people were. In fact, when I talked to voters
[26:07] afterwards, the first words out of their mouth was wow, look at
[26:10] that energy that, wow, that energy energy was there. And
[26:14] some of them even said that in previous Biden brollies, that
[26:18] energy wasn't there. So I think that all those things are going
[26:20] to be the tone and tenor. But, you know, of course, the the
[26:24] campaign is still really evolving. I talked to one source
[26:27] this week or two, they're building the plane as it flies
[26:31] when it comes to their messaging. And it comes to other
[26:33] things that the Democrats really waiting on her to talk for, of
[26:36] course, you know, we saw her give comments on Israel and
[26:40] Gaza, making her stance on that. So I think that all of these
[26:43] things that we're seeing in the first days are going to continue
[26:45] to evolve. But really, that is the tone and tenor of her
[26:48] campaign going forward. So
[26:49] Adam Curry: they've just wasn't she say nothing. That's the
[26:52] point. Look at that energy, tone, tenor, it's all fabulous.
[26:55] It's great. And now I'm even questioning this attack, ad
[26:59] attack ad, this M five M supercut. Which I initially I'm
[27:04] like, Oh, that's pretty funny. The RNC put this out, you know,
[27:07] that's what they do. Now, I'm thinking it might be the DNC or
[27:11] the Obamas or just people who just want to hate Kamala,
[27:15] Unknown: there are of course, to say that you have the lowest
[27:17] approval rating
[27:18] of any Vice President. Well, they're
[27:19] polls that also say I have great approval ratings.
[27:23] When voters don't like Harris, how big a drag is Kamala Harris
[27:27] on the ticket, she's a
[27:28] pretty big drag. I think she was arguably, Biden's worst
[27:31] political decision.
[27:32] They don't like her. There's lots of reasons they don't like
[27:34] their Kamala
[27:34] Harris's approval rating is now at 28%, which is an historic low
[27:39] for any modern vice president. We're hearing it from mainstream
[27:42] mainstream media, one outlet after another, one league after
[27:47] another. That Kamala Harris is the worst vice president ever.
[27:51] The worst polishes cishan ever
[27:52] we don't see the vice president. What people are saying to me,
[27:56] I'm sure they're saying to you, where's the Vice President, so
[27:59] minus officials feeling that, that she came off looking
[28:01] unprepared for inevitable questions about when she might
[28:04] visit the southern border. We've been
[28:06] to the border you haven't been before. And I haven't been to
[28:10] Europe. And I don't understand the point that you're making.
[28:14] The point that
[28:15] Lester Holt was making
[28:16] was was obvious to
[28:18] anyone else who was watching this interview, which is that
[28:21] the issues at the border are inextricably linked with the
[28:24] portfolio that she's been given the
[28:26] border is secure. We have a secure border, it nomics is
[28:32] working. Prices have gone up. And families and individuals are
[28:43] dealing with the realities of that bread cost more than gas
[28:48] costs more. And we have to understand what that means.
[28:53] That's about the cost of living going up.
[28:55] Adam Curry: He picked Kamala Harris to
[28:58] Unknown: be his running mate. She was raised and is ranked as
[29:01] the most liberal senator in the
[29:03] United States. So he could have gone the other way. But he went,
[29:05] he went to the left.
[29:07] Joe Biden is running for reelection, and I will be his
[29:09] ticket mate. Full stop.
[29:15] Adam Curry: This, I am now more than ever convinced this is an
[29:19] Obama double cross. And the question is, will they reveal
[29:23] the true identity of daddy longlegs just before the
[29:28] convention so they can sneak in Kelly or whoever else they want
[29:32] to bring in there. How many we have two more weeks?
[29:37] John C Dvorak: Well, they're going to do the straw poll and
[29:40] actually pre elector on the first about a week before the
[29:46] convention. This is their, their their technique. What does that
[29:50] mean? That means they're going to have the guys that
[29:54] conventioneers that are going to be at the convention. Do a pre
[29:57] vote. Show when convention began. She's already been pre
[30:02] selected. So there's no debate at the convention. Okay? And
[30:07] Adam Curry: is Daddy Long Legs gonna show up at the convention
[30:10] and do it? I
[30:11] John C Dvorak: don't know what they're gonna do. I don't know
[30:13] what you're trying to. I mean, I'm trying to know what they're
[30:15] going to do with this guy.
[30:16] Adam Curry: That makes no sense either either. They don't
[30:20] either. He's gone now. And he was just a temp. Like, oh, our
[30:23] regular guy has a show in Vegas. But
[30:27] John C Dvorak: you know, that's hot. Now that might be right
[30:29] about that. It's possible that this long legged guy? Yeah, he's
[30:32] just a temp temp and they'll bring into short legged regular
[30:36] bicone Biden, because our
[30:38] Adam Curry: normal guy he's out with COVID or something, you
[30:41] know? Maybe that's who actually had COVID Oh, man, our
[30:46] John C Dvorak: guy has Biden. Yeah,
[30:49] Adam Curry: that the the knob? The Biden we saw on television
[30:53] that look like that looks like the guy that looked at dying.
[30:55] Dying. Joe on Yeah.
[30:58] John C Dvorak: I want to play just we're on this topic.
[31:02] Something I didn't play in the last couple of shows. But I
[31:06] decided to finally go back to it. And the thing is this guy K
[31:10] part. Yeah, it was with Brooks. He I watched his weekend shows I
[31:15] don't have clips from that. But he is completely in with the
[31:18] women, the women for the black women for Camelot. He's one of
[31:22] them. Movement. Yes, he is. And he is so onto the Kim Kamla
[31:28] thing. It's ridiculous. And I want to play just a piece of
[31:32] from two weeks ago before Biden quit his back and forth was
[31:36] Brooks and his attitude that this is really to me is so
[31:40] biased. I don't understand how this guy's an editor at the
[31:43] Washington Post. If
[31:45] Adam Curry: you don't, the Washington Post is not biased.
[31:48] Hello.
[31:51] John C Dvorak: I want to play these two clips in Is it just to
[31:54] show you what delusion is taking place amongst mostly blacks,
[32:00] black women, mostly men him. Regarding Harris and this is K
[32:05] part on Harris. One, it just leads us into His going nuts
[32:09] Unknown: and things like that. So that's raised the sense that
[32:12] it's inevitable that he's going to go and so if he's gonna go he
[32:15] has to go, but it has to be in the next few days or else he's
[32:18] you know, fatally weakened by being constantly drip drip drip
[32:21] of undermine on what happens next. I think the Democrats will
[32:24] be in big trouble if if Kamala Harris was not on the ticket. On
[32:29] the other hand, nothing comes free in politics. The problem
[32:31] with the democratic process so far, it's been it's been a low
[32:34] inflammation process. Joe Biden got this far because he wasn't
[32:37] tested in the primaries. And the idea you're gonna have another
[32:40] nominee who's not tested should be a little alarming to
[32:43] Democrats. So the idea of a mini primary with those press
[32:48] conferences or debates, that's it's not entirely unappealing to
[32:52] me that Kamala Harris may well get the nomination, but she
[32:55] stepped to earn it. She shot the show, the party in the country
[32:57] that she's really capable of, of doing this campaign.
[33:00] Jonathan, what do you make it not
[33:02] tested has to earn it. She's the sitting Vice President of the
[33:05] United States who has endured a whole lot of scrutiny in that
[33:10] role, lots of brickbats from within the party from the other
[33:14] party, from the press, you know, earn it. She was vice president
[33:19] during during COVID during a 5050 split in the Senate, so she
[33:24] was, you know, basically chained to that president's chair in the
[33:28] Senate chamber not being able to leave Washington for more than
[33:31] two and a half hours so she could get back and cast tie
[33:34] breaking votes, the most tiebreaker votes cast by any
[33:37] vice president, any anyone who says it will I don't mean to
[33:41] pick on you, David. But anyone who says she has sir earn, it
[33:44] hasn't been paying attention to what she's what she's done. Oh,
[33:47] Adam Curry: well, a couple of things. One, finally, they're
[33:50] arguing with each other. That's a pro for the show. We're
[33:56] arguing for the first time ever since we started playing these
[33:58] clips. A second, he clearly was on the 40,000 women zoom call.
[34:04] John C Dvorak: Yeah, I would think so. He takes very
[34:08] defensive about the idea that she should do anything at all,
[34:11] even though she's obviously unpopular. And what
[34:14] Adam Curry: do you notice here? They, it looks to me like
[34:18] they're pushing a lot of women of color. Let's just call them
[34:22] that. Yes. Women of Color, promote this, and this, and this
[34:26] is a protection airy mechanism. Because if it all falls apart,
[34:29] well, hey, you had 40,000 Women on a call you said it was it was
[34:34] locked up. You were familiar with their thinking. It was all
[34:37] good.
[34:39] John C Dvorak: stuff. And he wrote this arguing between the
[34:41] two of them and they kind of make up they make up a little
[34:44] bit in clip too. But but K part maintains his position. And
[34:52] Unknown: I don't mean to say worthy of it. But you know, Joe
[34:55] Biden was president and he just wasn't out there campaigning and
[35:00] process of campaigning, even if it's done over three weeks is
[35:03] better than no process. And so that would be my only point.
[35:06] Jonathan, we'll
[35:06] give you the last word here. We got 45 seconds. David,
[35:08] have you seen Democrats? I mean, my big fear with Democrats is
[35:13] that if they if you do have this common sense proposal of an open
[35:17] primary Democrats will make it a shambolic process. And in the
[35:21] end, whoever gets the top that gets the top spot on the ticket,
[35:24] even if it's the sitting Vice President could be as hobbled as
[35:28] the the president, they potentially driven off the tip
[35:31] top of it.
[35:32] Adam Curry: I hear this word continuously shambolic.
[35:34] John C Dvorak: What exactly do they mean an idiotic word? It's
[35:37] a word that was actually first appeared in the lexicon in 1970.
[35:42] And it means disorganized. Oh weird Shambles it stems from the
[35:49] word Shambles well as I don't know why it showed up, and it's
[35:55] mostly lefties that use it earlier in the same back and
[36:00] forth. Brooks used it earlier and he picked it up and so I
[36:05] don't know why I don't like that term at all. Let's
[36:08] Adam Curry: listen to some more women of color promoting Kamala.
[36:12] This is joy read I think there's so with with Michael Steele,
[36:16] another black woman
[36:17] Unknown: I think there's something to be said for you
[36:19] know, what did they call it the Kabbalah mentum. that's out
[36:24] there. That's really kind of creating a lot of energy here.
[36:27] So much so that you've got Maria Teresa the Grail headline, white
[36:33] women's answered the call for Kamala Harris attracting nearly
[36:37] 200,000 attendees and raising $8.5 million on Zoom. That was
[36:43] wait
[36:44] Adam Curry: a minute, what was what was the Zoom call that they
[36:46] were on? So the black woman raised $20,000 and the white
[36:52] women did like 8 million
[36:55] John C Dvorak: to your desk in the wrong guy for
[36:58] Unknown: Kamala Harris attracting nearly 200,000
[37:00] attendees and raising $8.5 million on Zoom. That was in
[37:06] nodded in response to but in alliance with the call that took
[37:11] place over the weekend among some 40,000 African American
[37:17] women that then grew even more so.
[37:21] Adam Curry: And let's go to Anna Navarro, another woman of
[37:23] Unknown: color they are so triggered and so wacko they are
[37:26] shook it. They are out there saying vile vile remarks about
[37:31] Kamala Harris. By the way, let's start with that. That's
[37:34] pronounced this Kamala Kamala Kamala, this is not Kamala,
[37:40] which they say on purpose, but that's okay. If you don't want
[37:43] to learn how to pronounce this, that's fine, because you're
[37:45] gonna be saying madame president, Hillary Clinton went
[37:48] through is pale in comparison to what they are putting Kamala
[37:51] Harris through just in a week. The remarks are vile, they are
[37:55] trying to make her dating history an issue and listen, if
[37:59] you guys want to do that, if you guys want to make her dating
[38:04] history and her personal history, I have an issue. Let's
[38:08] do that. Okay, bring it on.
[38:11] Adam Curry: Man A Chill out. Chill out. And by the way, you
[38:15] know she's supposed to be a Republican, as is Michael
[38:18] Steele.
[38:19] John C Dvorak: Yeah. Michael Steele is the head of the RNC
[38:23] Adam Curry: was yes was okay, let's let's listen to some white
[38:25] people. Since this is what it's all going to be black versus
[38:28] white. Jen Psaki has a great term. This is not your clip,
[38:33] John C Dvorak: by the way. By the way. I want to mention that
[38:35] this is between if you want to say it's a race thing between
[38:40] whites and blacks is also a thing between black men and
[38:44] black women. Yes. Which I think is the bigger split. Yeah,
[38:48] Adam Curry: but I don't have any clips of that. No,
[38:50] John C Dvorak: I just said, the idea of clearing it up.
[38:53] Adam Curry: Listen to what Saki says the idea that the Vice
[38:56] Unknown: President of the United States Kamala Harris is
[38:58] unqualified to be president on her own merits independent of
[39:01] her race, gender, or anything else is straight up
[39:04] disinformation. This is a woman who was a prosecutor for two
[39:07] decades before being elected as the Attorney General of
[39:10] California. Then she won the election to the Senate in 2016.
[39:14] And gained notoriety for being a tough question or if you
[39:17] judicial nominees and corporate witnesses in hearings, and for
[39:21] the last three and a half years, she has been rice President of
[39:24] the United States for good.
[39:27] Adam Curry: Rice president.
[39:30] Unknown: Listen to her. And for the last three and a half years.
[39:33] She has been rice President of the United States. We're gonna
[39:36] say
[39:36] John C Dvorak: yeah, rice,
[39:37] Adam Curry: she said no, but she says rice President of the
[39:39] United States, listen, thanks.
[39:41] Unknown: And for the last three and a half years, she has been
[39:44] rice President of the United States. We're gonna say her Mom,
[39:47] John C Dvorak: do you not hear this? Rice President of the
[39:50] United States? Yes.
[39:52] Unknown: And for the last three and a half years. I think she
[39:55] has been rice President of the United States for goodness sake.
[39:58] I mean, what are we even talking about here?
[40:00] Adam Curry: I think your rice President United States, that
[40:04] was a five Martini lunch we had rice
[40:07] John C Dvorak: per year. Right? I don't there's no denying. I
[40:10] have a couple of questions. Because there's been these.
[40:13] These concern Miss hearings that I've you hear all the time. Yes.
[40:18] Which are usually the best one. Of course this one. Yeah. But I
[40:22] don't want to go to this right now. I'm just saying that this
[40:25] miss hearing, but in this case, there's no way she didn't say
[40:29] rice and steaks.
[40:31] Adam Curry: rice rice, President of these United
[40:33] John C Dvorak: States, and then she goes off this guy's and then
[40:36] she sat down. She's slurring she's drunk. Yes, yes,
[40:38] Adam Curry: yes. Yes. I think you're right. But that's good.
[40:40] That's good show material right there. Rice, president of the
[40:44] US, United States,
[40:46] John C Dvorak: United States.
[40:49] Adam Curry: I have another white white dude. MSNBC guests. This
[40:54] was this was quite the opposite message.
[40:57] Unknown: The Democratic base right now is just entirely
[41:00] lacking for intensity. I mean, when I talk with Democrat
[41:03] elected officials in the battleground states, they tell
[41:06] me the same story over and over and over again, they can't find
[41:10] anybody to come out and volunteer for them to do the
[41:13] sort of work that that that's necessary in a field operation,
[41:16] because there's just no enthusiasm. I mean, we all the
[41:20] time about the cliche, enthusiasm gap in politics. I've
[41:24] never seen an enthusiasm gap like the one we're witnessing in
[41:27] the summer of this election year. I've heard horror stories
[41:30] from people on the ground in Michigan, in Pennsylvania in
[41:33] Arizona, about just striking out time and time again, as local
[41:37] Democratic Party chapters county chapters have tried to get
[41:40] people to come in and phonebank to get mail going to knock on
[41:43] doors. They can't do it. They can't find people.
[41:47] Adam Curry: I don't know if that's true, but it was on
[41:49] MSNBC. I thought that was rather interesting. There's no
[41:52] enthusiasm, but there's 1000s of people on Zoom calls, apparently
[41:56] mythical zoom calls. And there's one other thing that one of our
[42:00] producers brought to my attention, says I don't know
[42:04] what you and John had been seeing this past election cycle,
[42:06] but all I'm seeing is Indians, Indians, Indians, Indians
[42:10] everywhere. Vivec Nim Radha I mean Nikki Haley, Sanjay Gupta
[42:15] player in the game. Dinesh D'Souza, Where's Bobby Jindal
[42:19] bring back Jindal? Vance? Where's
[42:21] John C Dvorak: Bobby Jindal? That's a good point.
[42:24] Adam Curry: JD Vance. His wife, OSHA. I mean, there's a lot so I
[42:28] mean, are we going for some some Indian hate now? Is that is that
[42:32] the next thing on deck with Kamala, she's clearly Indian.
[42:38] John C Dvorak: That I do have a hate clip.
[42:39] Adam Curry: And look who's running Google. Look who's
[42:41] running Microsoft?
[42:44] John C Dvorak: Yeah, Indians, Indians. This is the Morning Joe
[42:48] hate the talking about the about the basis to hate basis, they're
[42:53] gonna start throwing it Camela. And
[42:55] Unknown: I've heard from inside Republican circles and right
[42:58] wing media that the hate campaign against Kamala Harris
[43:02] has begun. You'll notice they purposefully pronounced her name
[43:06] wrong. They say Kamala, they do it all the time. It is on
[43:11] purpose. But the talk is to start that hate campaign and get
[43:15] it going and started churning.
[43:18] Adam Curry: Yeah, so this this is part of most theory and and I
[43:23] have to say there's definitely something to it. He predicted on
[43:29] on the last episode we did together, he predicted that this
[43:33] this unfortunate shooting in Illinois have this black woman
[43:37] by the cops. Have you even heard about this? Yeah. Is that this
[43:43] would start to you know, this. This happened a couple of weeks
[43:45] ago, and now it's bubbling up and that this is going to be the
[43:49] start, you know, they're looking for new George Floyd. You have a
[43:53] clip here that kind of explains what happens. It's clearly I
[43:57] mean, this cop could not have if you wanted a guy that looks like
[44:01] a racist white cop and you have the body cam footage. It's
[44:04] almost like the script is just too good to be true. For some
[44:08] real real protests happening.
[44:11] Unknown: So yet Massey was a mother she was a sister she is a
[44:14] daughter. The
[44:15] call to police for help turning into the last call 36 year old
[44:19] Sonia Massey would ever make her death is sending shockwaves
[44:22] across the nation. As body camera footage is revealing her
[44:25] final moments Massey could be heard saying quote, I will
[44:33] rebuke you in the name of Jesus while moving the pot of water.
[44:40] Thing Aman sheriff's deputy Shawn Grayson drawing his weapon
[44:43] causing Massey to duck behind the counter saying she was
[44:46] sorry. We've stopped the video before Grayson is seen firing
[44:53] his gun three times hitting Masse once in the face. The now
[44:56] fired sheriff's deputies record includes two DUIs in a discharge
[44:59] from the Army for misconduct. According to ABC News, he's
[45:02] pleaded not guilty to three counts of first degree murder
[45:05] among other charges against him. It was one
[45:08] of the most horrific murders that we've ever seen in recent
[45:11] history, if not all of history
[45:12] details following the shooting, revealing not only a breakdown
[45:15] and communication within the department but also to family of
[45:18] Massey body worn camera showing Grayson initially discouraging
[45:22] his partner from trying to save Massey's life
[45:30] we all got to see how a police officer stood by as a woman was
[45:34] murdered right in front of his face.
[45:36] But here's the question how much longer how many more Sonia
[45:40] Massey's how many more Michael Browns how many more Eric
[45:43] Garner's again and again and again that's gone on.
[45:48] Rally goers calling for an overhaul of the system and on
[45:51] Congress to pass the George Floyd justice in policing act
[45:54] something Massey's family has also vocalized, the proposed
[45:57] reform aims to hold police accountable change the culture
[46:00] of law enforcement in the relationships and communities by
[46:03] addressing systemic racism and bias. So
[46:06] Adam Curry: of course, we don't actually know the whole story,
[46:08] but the script is written. I mean, it's it's clear from the
[46:12] way it's being presented. And I think it was Kamala Harris, Vice
[46:17] President rice rice, President Harris, who, who pleaded for the
[46:24] George Floyd act.
[46:27] John C Dvorak: Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. She's really funny
[46:30] that of
[46:30] Adam Curry: course, she also, you know, thought that Jesse
[46:32] Smollett was, you know, that they put a noose around his
[46:35] neck. Yes. Let's not forget that. Let's not forget that one.
[46:40] So, you know, this is clearly a play. I don't know if they're
[46:45] going to I don't know. But I think by August 2, she has to
[46:49] announce her vice president VP pick.
[46:53] John C Dvorak: Why does she have to do it by August 2?
[46:55] Adam Curry: That's just something I heard on the news. I
[46:57] don't know anything. I'm just telling you.
[46:59] John C Dvorak: She can announce anytime she wants it probably be
[47:01] during the convention. I would think
[47:03] Adam Curry: I'm just telling you what I heard. Let's listen to an
[47:07] ad because they do have
[47:08] John C Dvorak: doesn't have to there's no. Okay.
[47:13] Adam Curry: I'm just telling you. Listen, look, the media,
[47:18] the media chooses our presidents. Okay, so we might as
[47:21] well listen to what they're doing. This isn't an ad for
[47:26] rice, rice, President Harris.
[47:30] Unknown: In this election, we each face a question. What kind
[47:34] of country do we want to live in? There are some people who
[47:40] think we should be a country of chaos, of fear of hate. But us
[47:45] we choose something different. We choose freedom.
[47:55] Yeah, Beyonce.
[48:04] The freedom not just to get by, but get ahead. The freedom to be
[48:08] saved from gun violence, the freedom to make decisions about
[48:12] your own body. We choose a future where no child lives in
[48:15] poverty, where we can all afford health care, where no one is
[48:20] above the law. We believe in the promise of America and we're
[48:25] ready to fight for it. Because when we fight, we win. So join
[48:30] us go to Kamala harris.com. And let's get to work comma cable
[48:35] run and because a winner Don't quit on themselves
[48:45] John C Dvorak: well, I thought this one I did I think that ad
[48:47] replaced this one or this one. Replace that when I have? Oh,
[48:51] Adam Curry: every really you're gonna play this? Everyone saw
[48:57] it? Where is it?
[49:00] John C Dvorak: What's it called? Camela ad?
[49:05] Adam Curry: No Camela campaign ad.
[49:09] Unknown: I come on Harris and your Democrat candidate for
[49:11] president because Joe Biden finally exposed to civility. I
[49:17] was selected because I'm the ultimate diversity hire. I'm
[49:20] both a woman and a person of color. So if you've criticized
[49:23] anything, I say you're both sexist and racist. I may not
[49:26] know the first thing about running the country. But
[49:28] remember, that's a good thing. If you're a deep state puppet, I
[49:33] had for years under the tutelage of the ultimate Deep State
[49:37] puppet, a wonderful mentor Joe Biden. Joe taught me rule number
[49:40] one, carefully hide your total incompetence. I take
[49:44] insignificant things and I discuss them as if they're
[49:47] significant. And I believe that exploring the significance of
[49:51] the insignificant is in itself significant, talking about the
[49:54] significance of the passage of time, right the significance of
[49:58] the passage of time So when you think about it, there is great
[50:02] significance to the passage of time. And there is such great
[50:06] significance to the passage of time. Another trick is trying to
[50:09] sound last, I pretend to celebrate Kwanzaa. And in my
[50:13] speeches, I always do my best Barack Obama pressure. So hear
[50:17] me when I say, I know Donald Trump's tight. And okay, look,
[50:22] maybe my work addressing the root causes of the border crisis
[50:26] were catastrophic. But my knowledge of international
[50:28] politics is truly shocking. The United States shares a very
[50:32] important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republican
[50:36] North Korea. It is an alliance that is strong and enduring. And
[50:40] just remember, when voting this November, it is important to see
[50:43] what can be unburdened by what has been, and by what has been.
[50:48] I mean, Joe Biden Do you think the country went to over the
[50:53] past four years? You ain't seen nothing yet.
[50:58] Adam Curry: Now, do you think that was one of our girls, or
[51:00] was that AI?
[51:03] John C Dvorak: I think it was one of the if it could be either
[51:06] one. But I think it's one of the girls.
[51:08] Adam Curry: I think so too. Because they're so prevalent now
[51:11] on on x. It must have been one of them. Yeah, yeah. By the way,
[51:17] if it was AI, that's not going to happen in the European Union.
[51:22] That's not going to happen. Queen Ursula will not allow it,
[51:26] Unknown: the threat of disinformation and foreign
[51:28] interference is more serious than ever.
[51:36] The enemies of our democracies are manipulating information to
[51:40] sow division. So we must step up our action with a European
[51:44] democracy shield.
[51:52] This new structure will track down information manipulation,
[51:56] and coordinate with national agencies. The shield will detect
[51:59] foreign interference, remove content with a stronger approach
[52:03] to AI deep fakes. And finally pre bunkin build resilience in
[52:07] Adam Curry: the European democracy. It's a very audacious
[52:13] project project, the European democracy shield we're going to
[52:17] protect your democracy. But I'd like to move to to the other two
[52:23] candidates for a moment. Trump and RFK Jr. Because they both
[52:30] spent a lot of time this weekend pandering in Nashville
[52:35] Unknown: that saying that all hell is gonna break loose and
[52:38] you're gonna need a Bitcoin.
[52:41] Adam Curry: Now, this is really interesting to me, of course,
[52:44] but it shouldn't be the anybody that the only one so far not
[52:50] pandering to the Bitcoiners is Kamala Harris. Kamala, that's
[52:54] that right now. Kamala Kamala
[52:56] John C Dvorak: your I don't know pronouncing it every chance you
[52:59] get just
[52:59] Adam Curry: because what you do racist There you go. So Trump
[53:02] showed up on the at the very last moment, it was the last
[53:06] speech of the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville. Which by the way,
[53:10] the band's Bitcoin was a podcasting 2.0 project. We of
[53:14] course did this outside of the of their event, we had 12 bands,
[53:18] performing over three days was pretty awesome. All in the
[53:21] modern podcast apps. Congrats Everybody who participated a lot
[53:25] of our no agenda stream people. And I pulled a couple clips
[53:29] actually, I got them from Chris from this week in Bitcoin
[53:33] podcast who did it? He did an emergency pod. It was mergency
[53:36] pod, emergency pod, which I actually appreciate and like,
[53:40] Oh, fantastic that you already you appreciate? Because you got
[53:44] the clip. You pre clipped it for me? Exactly. Here's the
[53:46] introduction. This is
[53:47] Unknown: the kind of spirit that built America. And this is the
[53:50] spirit that's going to help us make America great again. I
[53:57] stand before you today filled with respect and admiration for
[54:02] what the Bitcoin community has achieved. It's incredible
[54:05] actually, I sort of say to my sons, it's like incredible
[54:10] because they know so much about it is so this aware of it much
[54:14] more so than people that are a little bit older. But I say this
[54:18] is the steel industry of 100 years ago really is I think
[54:21] you're just in your infancy I can see it happening. In just 15
[54:26] years, Bitcoin has gone from merely an idea posted
[54:29] anonymously on an internet message board to being the ninth
[54:34] most valuable asset anywhere in the world. Can you believe that?
[54:38] Is that right? That's a big deal. The reason I've come to
[54:44] address the Bitcoin community today can be summed up into very
[54:51] simple words. America first, because if we don't do it, China
[54:55] is going to be doing there's going to be doing it. Let's do
[54:58] it and do it right
[55:00] Adam Curry: So we know it was
[55:03] John C Dvorak: wow, I know I twisted that one into America
[55:06] first. Oh
[55:07] Adam Curry: gets better. This is the kind
[55:09] Unknown: of spirit that built America and this is the spirit
[55:12] that's going to help us make America great again. So what do
[55:18] I stand before you today filled with respect and admiration for
[55:23] what the Bitcoin community has achieved? It's incredible
[55:26] actually. I sort of say to my sons, it's like incredible
[55:31] because they know so much about it is so this aware
[55:34] Adam Curry: of it. But wait, did I just play this? This? Yeah,
[55:36] you
[55:37] John C Dvorak: play this clip, or
[55:38] Adam Curry: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. So I only have
[55:42] a couple here. The most surprising, which I thought was
[55:46] really interesting. It surprised him too, is when he made this
[55:50] statement. He said a lot about Elizabeth Warren and Pocahontas
[55:53] and she hates you, and I'm not gonna let him do anything.
[55:56] Unknown: This afternoon. I'm laying out my plan to ensure
[55:59] that the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet
[56:03] and the Bitcoin superpower of the world and we'll get it done.
[56:11] If crypto is going to define the future, I want to be mined,
[56:15] minted and made in the USA, it's going to be it's not going to be
[56:20] made anywhere else. And if bitcoin is going to the moon, as
[56:24] we say, as going to the moon, I want America to be the nation
[56:28] that leads the way and that's what's going to happen. Though
[56:32] you're going to be very happy with me. I pledged to the
[56:35] Bitcoin community, that the day I take the oath of office, Joe
[56:39] Biden, Kamala Harris's anti crypto crusade will be over it
[56:43] will end it'll be done. It'll be done. Elizabeth Warren and her
[56:50] goons and she's very nasty to you. She hates your people. She
[56:54] hates everything about you. We'll keep their hands off.
[56:57] Bitcoin. They're gonna keep your head their hands of crypto, they
[57:00] gotta let it grow. We're gonna let it grow. On day one. I will
[57:04] fire Gary Gensler and appoint a new CTO
[57:18] I didn't know what it was that unpopular.
[57:21] Adam Curry: He was really surprised by that even he went
[57:23] back and he said it again. I'm gonna fire that guy. I took out
[57:26] all of the other applauses because there was just a lot of
[57:29] it. The biggest one was an obvious one. It was a it was a
[57:33] gimme. Almost today
[57:34] Unknown: I repeat my pledge to commute the sentence of Ross
[57:38] Ulbricht to a set time, sir, it's enough. It's enough.
[57:48] Adam Curry: So that's Ross Ulbricht of Silk Road. I think
[57:51] he's been in jail for 10 years. So oh, the Silk Road guy road
[57:55] guy. Yeah. So here so then he lays out his his strategic plan
[58:00] his policy,
[58:01] Unknown: many Americans do not realize that the United States
[58:04] governor is among the largest holders of Bitcoin. Does anyone
[58:09] know that? How about that? The federal government has almost
[58:13] 210,000 Bitcoin or 1% of the total supply that will ever
[58:18] exist. But for too long, our government has violated the
[58:22] cardinal rule that every Bitcoin er knows, by heart, never sell
[58:27] your Bitcoin. Right? That's right. That's right. How did I
[58:38] figure that one? Never said your Bitcoin. And so the final part
[58:43] of my plan today, I am announcing that if I am elected,
[58:47] it will be the policy of my administration United States of
[58:52] America to keep 100% Of all the Bitcoin the US Government
[58:57] currently holds or acquires into the future will keep 100% I hope
[59:02] you do well, please. This will serve in effect as the core of
[59:08] the strategic national Bitcoin stockpile.
[59:12] Adam Curry: Okay, so, right after he was done, Senator
[59:16] Loomis from Wyoming came on and she had already written the
[59:19] policy for the strategic Bitcoin reserve, which includes
[59:26] purchasing up to 1 million Bitcoin in the next five years.
[59:32] And I guess kind of the good thing is that it would be taken
[59:36] from the Federal Reserve's I don't know extra gold chips they
[59:40] got laying around or something but they wouldn't the idea is
[59:42] that would not print new 1
[59:44] John C Dvorak: million Bitcoin. Yeah. $1 million with a Bitcoin
[59:48] one because that's $65 trillion. I don't think so.
[59:51] Adam Curry: No, I think that's 65 billion. I don't think it's
[59:54] 65 trillion. I don't I don't think it's 65 trillion. Okay,
[59:59] good. Be 65 billion. But here's the kicker. And then I want to
[1:00:03] play RFK. two clips. Here's the kicker, as I'm hanging out, this
[1:00:07] is so opposite of what of what Trump was talking about. I mean,
[1:00:12] really what isn't 180 He's like no as it is a danger to the US
[1:00:16] dollar. But then he kind of uncloaked and there was a lot of
[1:00:20] silence when he talked about this
[1:00:23] Unknown: as part of our effort to provide regulatory clarity,
[1:00:26] we will create a framework to enable the safe, responsible
[1:00:30] expansion of stable, stable coins. Do you know what a stable
[1:00:35] coin is? Does anybody know please raise your hand, allowing
[1:00:38] us to extend the dominance of the US dollar to new frontiers
[1:00:43] all around the world, America will be richer, the world will
[1:00:46] be better and there will be billions and billions of people
[1:00:50] brought into crypto economy and storing their savings in
[1:00:53] Bitcoin.
[1:00:54] Adam Curry: So he didn't really doesn't know much because the
[1:00:56] pronunciate stable coins on stable coin is how it's
[1:00:59] pronounced. So the idea here is you're going to back the stable
[1:01:04] coin, that'll be the expansion of the US dollar, essentially,
[1:01:06] that'll be the digital dollar. I think he's all in on that. And
[1:01:09] you can hear there was no enthusiasm for it. And he even
[1:01:13] said, Oh, this is bitcoin is good. Those
[1:01:15] Unknown: who say that Bitcoin is a threat to the dollar have the
[1:01:18] story exactly backwards? I believe it is exactly backwards.
[1:01:22] Bitcoin is not threatening the dollar, the behavior of the
[1:01:26] current US government is really threatening the dollar.
[1:01:32] Adam Curry: So we'll see what that policy really means. But
[1:01:35] the stable coin business. I don't think that's very good. He
[1:01:39] did say that he would always protect self custody, which is a
[1:01:44] hot button issue for the Bitcoiners as well as create a
[1:01:48] task force made of Bitcoiners who would be working for the
[1:01:53] Bitcoin industry. Now, what is interesting is the day before
[1:01:57] RFK, Jr. Did his speech at Bitcoin, clearly and understands
[1:02:03] much more about the Bitcoin community about Bitcoin itself.
[1:02:08] And here's his intro right there different viewpoints. I found
[1:02:12] the most striking feature of Bitcoin community is this kind
[1:02:16] of paradoxical just juxtaposition, marked by fears,
[1:02:22] visions on several minor issues, and an overwhelming sense of
[1:02:26] unity within the larger Bitcoin Bitcoin ecosystem. The Bitcoin
[1:02:32] community reminds me of how American politics ought to be
[1:02:36] fiercely diverse, but ultimately United our aspirations and our
[1:02:42] belief in our country, and in our convictions that America is
[1:02:46] worth the fight. I am so glad to be back for my second Bitcoin
[1:02:51] Conference. Since last year in Miami, I've been meeting with
[1:02:55] leaders and thinkers from this community. I've conferred with
[1:02:59] Bitcoin miners, with policymakers, with economists,
[1:03:04] with financial experts, with investors and developers,
[1:03:09] entrepreneurs, to deepen my understanding of the
[1:03:13] extraordinary promise of Bitcoin for our country, and for a
[1:03:18] planet. I think he understands this group much better. And he
[1:03:24] also laid out his policy. It's interesting, he uses a very
[1:03:26] similar type of policy to what Trump announced the day after,
[1:03:30] after. After all, I've learned I intend, as President United
[1:03:37] States to sign an executive order on day one, directing the
[1:03:42] Department of Justice and the US marshals to transfer the
[1:03:47] approximately 200,000 Bitcoin held by the US government to the
[1:03:53] United States Treasury, where it will be held as a strategic
[1:03:58] asset.
[1:04:09] On day one, as President, I will sign another executive order
[1:04:14] directing the US Treasury to purchase 550 Bitcoin daily until
[1:04:21] the US has built reserve of at least 4 million Bitcoins.
[1:04:34] Had a position of dominance and no other country will be able to
[1:04:39] use her. Our nation holds approximately 19% of global gold
[1:04:45] reserves. This policy will give us about the same proportion of
[1:04:51] total Bitcoin. The cascading impact on these actions will
[1:04:56] eventually move Bitcoin to a valuation of hundreds of
[1:05:00] trillions of dollars on day one as President, I will sign also
[1:05:06] an executive order directing the IRS to issue public guidelines
[1:05:12] that all transactions between Bitcoin and the US dollar are
[1:05:17] unrepeatable transactions
[1:05:26] and by extension, non taxable, so,
[1:05:31] John C Dvorak: you know that well, he's not going to be
[1:05:33] president, that's never going to happen, but it does give me some
[1:05:36] insight into how the economy is going to eventually collapse.
[1:05:40] So,
[1:05:40] Adam Curry: there's that tell me
[1:05:43] John C Dvorak: where you start? I'm just gonna leave it at that.
[1:05:48] Adam Curry: What? I don't Okay. I just don't understand what
[1:05:51] you're saying. I understand what you're saying that
[1:05:53] John C Dvorak: Bitcoin is not sustainable.
[1:05:59] Adam Curry: not sustainable.
[1:06:00] John C Dvorak: And if it goes back to its original value of 25
[1:06:03] cents, it's going to cause economic havoc. Okay.
[1:06:09] Adam Curry: Well see, see it in 19 years. I have a different
[1:06:17] belief there,
[1:06:18] John C Dvorak: ya know, and don't sell whatever you do.
[1:06:20] Adam Curry: know, I've never ever heard President Trump told
[1:06:23] me never ever sell your Bitcoin. Why would I do that? But the the
[1:06:27] point that he's making? I don't I don't know how many bitcoins I
[1:06:31] think there's there's three Bitcoin three and a half Bitcoin
[1:06:34] are created every every 10 minutes. So that's, what is that
[1:06:39] homeless? Oh, that's a times six is 18 times 24. He would be
[1:06:44] really wanting the US to buy more Bitcoin that are created on
[1:06:49] daily basis. So that would, that would definitely increase the
[1:06:53] price. Yeah, because it'd be taking it off the market. Well,
[1:06:57] but you try to Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I love Kennedy,
[1:07:02] John C Dvorak: you know, is a huge Kennedy as if he was
[1:07:05] allowed to be the Democrat that he is, would be a huge threat to
[1:07:10] the Republicans. He could easily win the presidency.
[1:07:14] Unfortunately, that he is against the Democrat policy and
[1:07:19] the Democrat. The fact is Jen Psaki clips are a good example,
[1:07:23] what I'm going to say, which is the Democrats have been
[1:07:26] gaslighting the public, they've been lying to the public, they
[1:07:28] are unbeli. And I wonder, I've said it before, and I'm going to
[1:07:32] backtrack a little bit. I am wondering, you know, I've said
[1:07:37] that they're sincere. And now I'm beginning to be I'm
[1:07:42] beginning to doubt myself. Insofar as their sincerity is
[1:07:47] concerned, because it because of these Jen Psaki clips bring up
[1:07:51] are you kidding me? Are you really that stupid? Are you
[1:07:57] sincere about this? Because I'm beginning to doubt it. Now. I'm
[1:08:00] thinking that they're just basic liars. Can Ivers well
[1:08:05] Adam Curry: hold on a second? You mean the media? Not not the
[1:08:08] Democrats themselves, but the media who are on the Democrat
[1:08:12] payroll or whatever? However, that works.
[1:08:16] John C Dvorak: It's the it's the structure of the Democrat Party
[1:08:19] as a whole. The media is just part
[1:08:21] Adam Curry: of it. Yeah. Yeah. Including Fox.
[1:08:25] John C Dvorak: Fox to so to a much lesser extent I have for
[1:08:30] Jen Psaki clips from this morning. And one it's a it's
[1:08:38] ridiculous.
[1:08:40] Adam Curry: Well, is she drunk? Because I think that Well, she's
[1:08:43] John C Dvorak: I don't think she does. She doesn't listen to it
[1:08:45] by the words Pete budaj says,
[1:08:48] Adam Curry: Do you think that when she says rice president
[1:08:50] that's being racist against Indians? Just thinking I just
[1:08:55] thought, curry
[1:08:57] John C Dvorak: maybe. Okay. First of all, there's the intro
[1:09:01] clip that she has as a teaser, and this is not part of the
[1:09:04] regular set of clips here. But I just want to throw it in as one
[1:09:08] example of of insincerity and add basic line. Just this is the
[1:09:15] beginning of her show, and later,
[1:09:16] Unknown: JD Vance's comments about childless cat ladies is
[1:09:20] just plain weird. And somehow, his attempt at a cleanup only
[1:09:24] made things weirder.
[1:09:27] Adam Curry: Yeah, this is a very old statement he made and it's
[1:09:30] funny.
[1:09:30] John C Dvorak: 2011 to be exact.
[1:09:32] Adam Curry: It's funny.
[1:09:34] John C Dvorak: He talks about childless cat ladies who were
[1:09:37] who hate themselves. And she says there that is weird. Is
[1:09:41] this weird to you? Have you you've ever heard of a cat lady?
[1:09:45] I mean, the Simpsons have a cat lady as a character has been a
[1:09:48] character for 30 years or more. I don't understand how that's
[1:09:53] weird. Well,
[1:09:54] Adam Curry: the old I mean of all the leaders. There's a lot
[1:09:58] of childless cat ladies we have Have I remember a Merkel
[1:10:02] childless cat lady? How about Maloney? Does she have kids? She
[1:10:06] might be a childless cat lady. Back. I mean, yeah, it's like,
[1:10:12] okay. I mean, they've been stereo what they've been using
[1:10:16] this for because, you know, of course I didn't clip but they
[1:10:18] will be using it to say, oh, Trump is already regretting his
[1:10:22] VP. He's gotta be regretted. He's gonna be regretting it
[1:10:26] because look at all these look at this stupid thing he said 13
[1:10:31] years ago? Oh, no. 30 years ago, was it that long?
[1:10:36] John C Dvorak: It Well, yeah, it was 2011 when he said it. Wow. I
[1:10:41] mean, the stuff that Kamala says three years ago, in 2020 when
[1:10:46] she was running she has all these crazy things she said, but
[1:10:48] that we don't pay attention to that but we go back to you know,
[1:10:52] 2011 for this Vance comment which isn't weird. It childless
[1:10:56] cat lady is a is a stereotype that I think a lot of people
[1:11:01] have ridiculed Sure,
[1:11:03] Adam Curry: cat ladies for sure. And cat ladies are often
[1:11:07] childless.
[1:11:09] John C Dvorak: So let's go to the basic clips here. And now I
[1:11:12] want you to listen carefully. Now. I'm going to pre pre bunk
[1:11:17] Oh, no. I'm gonna just so people can hear it as it comes about.
[1:11:23] They bring they're going to talk about Trump and the fact that he
[1:11:26] you know, he's what he said to the Christian group, which we
[1:11:29] understand everyone understands, but they don't. So so they start
[1:11:33] talking about Trump's style of oratory and the fact that he,
[1:11:38] you can take it literally or figuratively, or you can take it
[1:11:41] seriously or non seriously, the script is screwed up. Buttigieg
[1:11:47] blows it and he says, Will people wonder when you can take
[1:11:51] Trump literally or seriously? Oh,
[1:11:56] Adam Curry: he that should have been figuratively.
[1:11:59] John C Dvorak: Serious, literally and seriously are
[1:12:02] exactly the same thing. Yes. So that's not a choice that you'd
[1:12:06] make. So he would say seriously or And seriously, or literally
[1:12:10] and figuratively. But no, he says literally or seriously. Jen
[1:12:16] Psaki chokes doesn't correct him because she could do it right at
[1:12:21] the beginning when he says this and say no, you mean figured
[1:12:24] out? Oh, yeah, yeah, Navy with a with a reset and gone onto there
[1:12:28] complaining. But she doesn't do that she chokes it, because
[1:12:32] she's not good. She's not a good interviewer. She's not
[1:12:34] listening. And she doesn't know how to save something. So it
[1:12:39] gets just goes downhill. Because they add, so she at the very
[1:12:43] last clip was clip for she would have a three guide this started
[1:12:48] with two. She kind of completely chokes it. But I wanted to
[1:12:54] listen to this. And we're, this is what this really bothers me
[1:12:57] that they're taken Trump. They're taking they're taking
[1:13:01] Trump out of context. And then they're, they're analyzing it
[1:13:04] poorly. Here we go, well,
[1:13:06] Unknown: it's officially 100 days until the election. So that
[1:13:09] means it's 100 days to make sure your polling place hasn't
[1:13:12] changed 100 days to figure out if you're gonna vote by mail or
[1:13:15] vote in person. And of course, there's a lot that will happen
[1:13:18] between now and then. We already know the stakes in this
[1:13:22] election. And Donald Trump just reminded us that in 100 days,
[1:13:26] it's really not just a normal election. It's an election where
[1:13:29] we decide if we still want to hold elections again. And
[1:13:33] again, Christians get out and vote just as time. You won't
[1:13:41] have to do it anymore. Four more years. You know what? It'll be
[1:13:45] fixed. It'll be fine. You won't have to vote anymore. My
[1:13:48] beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. In four years. You
[1:13:51] don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed. So good. You're
[1:13:54] not gonna have to
[1:13:56] inform are yours. You're not gonna have to vote again. But
[1:13:58] his words, those aren't my words. That's Donald Trump's
[1:14:00] words. So those are the stakes. Yeah, it's frightening. It
[1:14:04] shouldn't be. The good news, though, is that a lot of good
[1:14:07] things happen this week for the Democratic ticket. Oh,
[1:14:10] Adam Curry: interesting. So she's taking that as you
[1:14:15] Christians, Christians, elect president, he's
[1:14:19] John C Dvorak: dropping the Christians part. She's just
[1:14:21] taken this and this is every she's not the only one doing
[1:14:24] this. And what she's trying to do is, it's like, there'll be no
[1:14:28] more like dictator from day one.
[1:14:30] Adam Curry: Yeah, there'd be no more elections. I'll be a
[1:14:32] dictator just have to do it now. And then you don't have to worry
[1:14:34] about it ever again. That's
[1:14:36] John C Dvorak: exactly what she's saying is happening, as
[1:14:38] she says is frightening. Now, anyone who's who's serious and
[1:14:43] knows about Christian voters, knows that there are a hard nut
[1:14:47] to crack in certain elections with certain people, they just
[1:14:50] don't vote. And it's been a known fact for a long time. And
[1:14:54] it's always like, Oh, God, we got it. We did George Bush,
[1:14:57] George W. Bush got to Christians to vote because he faked being a
[1:15:02] super Christian and nobody's seriously believed him. But it
[1:15:07] was a big deal to get the evangelicals who are lazy voters
[1:15:12] to get out to vote and get them to vote. So this is what Trump
[1:15:16] is doing. He's talking to a Christian group and he's saying,
[1:15:18] Look Christians, let's vote for me because because I know you
[1:15:23] know, we all know that you don't like voting. And so this this
[1:15:27] one time vote, you won't have to worry about it after that.
[1:15:30] That's it. Everyone knows what this means. John is not saying
[1:15:33] this is the last time you ever gonna get to vote. John, it
[1:15:36] worked on
[1:15:37] Adam Curry: me I immediately couldn't wait to vote. Trump has
[1:15:41] got me No, no,
[1:15:42] John C Dvorak: you're never have to vote again. Cuz you won't be
[1:15:44] allowed to vote because he's gonna be dictator from day one.
[1:15:48] This is the threat to democracy we're talking about. So at this
[1:15:52] point, I can't believe that this is sincerity. This is bullcrap.
[1:15:59] This is a blatant lie, and she's trying to pull this off blue
[1:16:02] Adam Curry: dress, gold dress type deal like this is I don't
[1:16:05] think it's even I think it's just complete. Bullshit. What's
[1:16:09] interesting is that clip, I don't think I have it because
[1:16:12] right after that, he says, I'm a I'm a Christian, but you I saw
[1:16:17] it on Twitter, people saying Trump just said he's not a
[1:16:19] Christian. And when you when someone prompts you as saying,
[1:16:23] he said, I'm not a Christian. It sounds like he's saying, I'm not
[1:16:26] a Christian. But he said, I'm a Christian. And she cut that up
[1:16:32] for some reason. I don't understand why, because that
[1:16:34] would have been even funnier. But see that part that that
[1:16:38] subtlety, which you could have easily,
[1:16:40] John C Dvorak: but I think is because they don't care about
[1:16:42] the Christian part. They're trying to get the Christian
[1:16:44] angle out. Yeah, you're right. He's just wants people to vote
[1:16:47] from this one time, because you're not going to get a chance
[1:16:49] to vote again, ever, Christian or not? That's what she's
[1:16:52] saying, Well, this is a you don't wish that would that would
[1:16:55] ruin the point. Do
[1:16:56] Adam Curry: you think her audience buys into this?
[1:17:01] John C Dvorak: I think some of them do. Because they're stupid.
[1:17:03] And I come to the conclusion. And I may go way back on this,
[1:17:07] and I got a couple of comments to make after the last clip. I
[1:17:11] think they're, I think the Democrats take advantage of
[1:17:15] their audience. They get them because the Democrat Party is
[1:17:17] like it's a club. You join it with our cult demon. And you
[1:17:21] want you're a Democrat? Oh, yeah, Democrats, because most
[1:17:23] people don't pay attention. They just vote Democrat. And so the
[1:17:27] ones who do pay attention, they listen to her and she's just
[1:17:30] goading them. Look, what this guy's gonna do is a threat to
[1:17:33] democracy. He's not gonna have elections anymore, which is all
[1:17:36] impossible. But okay, because none of the people that listen
[1:17:40] to this stuff, have ever taken a civics course, who knows how the
[1:17:44] country works. So now, we bring in Pete, and here we go.
[1:17:49] Unknown: So me now as Pete Buttigieg, he is appearing in
[1:17:51] his personal capacity, not his official world as a member of
[1:17:55] the Biden administration. So I'm awkwardly not going to call you
[1:17:57] Mr. Secretary or mayor. That's where we are great to be here.
[1:18:00] Thank you so much for being here with me, for having me. So I
[1:18:03] just I played that clip of Donald Trump saying in four
[1:18:07] years, you won't have to vote again. I mean, he's made similar
[1:18:09] statements before. For Governor Chris Sununu was on after you on
[1:18:14] Fox News This Morning. He said it's just classic Trumpism. I
[1:18:17] think it's pretty important to call out what did you think when
[1:18:19] you heard him say that? Yeah,
[1:18:20] I mean, candidly, I don't completely understand what he
[1:18:23] means. I don't want to have to worry about what he means. It's
[1:18:27] yet another reason why we've got to make sure he doesn't get
[1:18:30] reelected. You know, I remember a few years ago, there were some
[1:18:33] commentators who sounded clever by saying, you know, the problem
[1:18:38] with Democrats is we were taking Trump literally, we should have
[1:18:41] taken him seriously. And smart people were taking him seriously
[1:18:44] instead of taking him literally. But when he says something like
[1:18:47] that, or when he says something like, wanting a political
[1:18:51] opponent like Liz Cheney, a congresswoman who criticized him
[1:18:55] to be tried in a televised military tribunal. I don't know
[1:18:59] whether to take that literally. Or seriously. Either way, it's
[1:19:02] bad news.
[1:19:07] Adam Curry: You had something to say I'm waiting. Well,
[1:19:09] John C Dvorak: you know, I did after the last clip. But let me
[1:19:11] say I want to say yes. Did you hear what would happen there?
[1:19:15] What a mess it was.
[1:19:17] Adam Curry: Well, and and here's what else I want to say this
[1:19:20] about that. Buddha judge when he was on Bill Maher show, he was
[1:19:25] quite impressive. And he was not reading a script. He was just
[1:19:30] talking and I can see where when people just talk to him. He's,
[1:19:36] he's, he's actually quite endearing. He's the he was
[1:19:40] enamoring in a way. I'm like, well, the guys actually, he
[1:19:43] didn't have any of these dumb gaffes. But when he's in a
[1:19:46] scripted environment, he sucks. And that's what you heard. He's
[1:19:50] like, he he's, he's probably an actually a good guy. And when
[1:19:56] he's doing something evil, his his brain won't allow it any
[1:19:59] good. goes off the rails.
[1:20:03] John C Dvorak: Well, that's what happened this time, and it was
[1:20:05] obviously scripted. Yeah. And she made a big point about him
[1:20:08] being there as a private citizen, give me a break. And
[1:20:12] then he says, literally or seriously, and they makes that a
[1:20:16] dichotomy.
[1:20:17] Adam Curry: Not three times he
[1:20:19] John C Dvorak: did it. Oh, yes. And she's like, unfortunately,
[1:20:22] she is incompetent as a host. And she didn't stop it, which he
[1:20:28] should have done right away when she heard it if she was
[1:20:30] listening, but she's one of these you know, she's scripted
[1:20:32] to Yes. And so now it just completely falls apart. And then
[1:20:36] you have to just assume that this is just, this is not
[1:20:41] sincerity. This is just lying. Either way, it's
[1:20:44] Unknown: bad news. Either way, if
[1:20:45] he's saying I want to eliminate a system, so nobody has to vote
[1:20:48] again. That's a huge problem. And we should take that both of
[1:20:51] those of those ways.
[1:20:54] Adam Curry: We should take that both of those ways.
[1:20:57] John C Dvorak: Both were Yeah, would that mean otherwise you
[1:20:59] take it literally and seriously. Oh, so she just drops she blows
[1:21:05] it up. Now I want to mention something here that I've never
[1:21:08] talked about. But when I was writing editore, or op eds for
[1:21:12] the San Francisco Examiner, I, I ran into this book. And I had
[1:21:17] worked with Tom bass was was State Assemblyman he was also
[1:21:21] became Tom Bates. Bates. He used to be mayor of Berkeley, and his
[1:21:27] wife was the mayor of Berkeley, and he was Assemblyman for a
[1:21:29] long time. And back in the 60s or 70s, he wrote a book, which I
[1:21:34] got a hold of, because somebody tipped me off about it. I would
[1:21:39] challenge people to try to find this book. Bates is one of the
[1:21:42] authors, I think there's about three or four author authors.
[1:21:44] It's called the wealth of cities. And the wealth of cities
[1:21:51] describes a process that done a Democrat process of how to rape
[1:21:57] City's coffers to benefit you, the Democrat Party. And it
[1:22:04] includes the idea that if you got, you get a hold of the city,
[1:22:07] you take it over, then you take or take over a whole state like
[1:22:11] the Democrats have done in California. And then you put
[1:22:13] your cronies in place, you give them high paying jobs. And I've
[1:22:17] run into guys in the area that that are beneficiaries of this
[1:22:22] policy. Include including too many to mention, but I do know
[1:22:28] this, they did set up a series of low income housing that they
[1:22:34] were going to give away to the poor. And they built these
[1:22:38] beautiful condos, I can point them out to anybody who wants to
[1:22:41] me to drive them by them. They're in Berkeley, and instead
[1:22:44] of the poor living in them, they were given to various political
[1:22:48] cronies in the Democrat party. It was all part of the strategy
[1:22:51] listed in this book, which is they bought most of them back up
[1:22:55] because there was this embarrassment of the Democrat
[1:22:57] party called the wealth of city in his cities. And as this
[1:23:01] happened in that in by that Raji some weird Indian guru that took
[1:23:06] over a town in Oregon. The guy with the orange, the orange guy,
[1:23:14] yeah, with the 45 mercy or not Mercedes, but Rolls Royces.
[1:23:18] Yeah, they took over a city and they did the same thing. They
[1:23:22] use the wealth the city strategy you take over as you get enough
[1:23:26] voters that vote yourself in and then you steal all the tax money
[1:23:30] and your tax even more which are doing in California as well.
[1:23:33] There's still potholes. And you just put cronies in office and
[1:23:37] give yourself big salaries. This is a scam
[1:23:40] Adam Curry: the Bhagwan guy that's who it was the Bhagwan,
[1:23:42] Bhagwan, yeah,
[1:23:43] John C Dvorak: and it's this huge the Hari Krishna is I think
[1:23:45] is what the group was
[1:23:46] Adam Curry: Hari Krishna is Yeah, I think you're right. It
[1:23:48] was the Hari Krishna is
[1:23:49] John C Dvorak: and this is unbelievable to me. I do these
[1:23:53] people cannot be trusted. The Democrat Party is the most
[1:23:56] corrupt operation I've ever run into having been a Democrat, a
[1:24:00] good part of my life. Well,
[1:24:02] Adam Curry: we we need a copy of that, by the way. Oh, boy,
[1:24:04] John C Dvorak: I can find it bass about this book, when I was
[1:24:07] writing for the examiner. And he was really sheepish about it.
[1:24:11] And I was just when I was a young young man. And he you
[1:24:15] know, said it was bullshit.
[1:24:16] Adam Curry: Well, we need a copy of this book and I now command
[1:24:19] our producers to go find out there is someone out there who
[1:24:23] knows how to get their hands on a copy. We'll see. And with
[1:24:27] that, I'd like to thank you for your courage and say in the
[1:24:29] morning to you the man who put the sea in the wealth of cities
[1:24:33] say hello to my friend on the other on the one and only Mr.
[1:24:35] John
[1:24:39] John C Dvorak: Roos said of creating more ships he was so
[1:24:41] rough in the essence of our games nice out there hello there
[1:24:44] trolls.
[1:24:50] Adam Curry: 2560 which is a little lower than the last
[1:24:54] Sunday we did we had 2899 and what that also shows Was you did
[1:25:00] you fire out? You didn't fire off the puppy Did you? I'm sorry
[1:25:04] you didn't fire off the puppy
[1:25:07] John C Dvorak: what puppy? Oh no I didn't fire off the puppy I
[1:25:10] almost fired off the puppy but I should have because we never got
[1:25:13] enough donations to really found too much fire
[1:25:16] Adam Curry: the fire off the puppy club the seal everybody we
[1:25:21] thank you to these trolls who are here we appreciate you man
[1:25:25] love that you guys are here find us that book wealth of cities. I
[1:25:28] would love to read that book.
[1:25:31] John C Dvorak: You know the funny thing is I may have a copy
[1:25:33] that I've had photocopy from the University of California
[1:25:36] photocopying service Yeah, I'm sure you have a copy last in the
[1:25:40] house. Yep.
[1:25:42] Adam Curry: Don't open the closet whatever you do, don't go
[1:25:44] looking for it please. We want to have another show Thursday.
[1:25:48] Those trolls are in the troll room at troll room.io They were
[1:25:51] a lot of them were on the stream for bands of Bitcoin it was it
[1:25:54] was quite a Hootenanny who had a good time. I even did I went
[1:25:57] against my my beliefs and I streamed the booster Graham ball
[1:26:02] live and I also did video
[1:26:06] John C Dvorak: he did video Yeah.
[1:26:09] Adam Curry: Well, videos Oh saying a lot. But I had. So I
[1:26:13] had I was streaming my screen with you know, my, my DJ set it
[1:26:19] with me and a little corner of my face.
[1:26:22] John C Dvorak: So you're down in the corner? Yeah, like the cat.
[1:26:25] Exactly what you're talking
[1:26:28] Adam Curry: cat, exactly. The dog and cat wherever we need
[1:26:31] bring back the talking cat, everybody. So people were in the
[1:26:34] troll room troll room.io. Of course, they were using the
[1:26:37] modern podcast apps because that's where you can do live
[1:26:40] streaming and get notified every single time a new band came on,
[1:26:43] you got a notification about it. It was pretty it was pretty
[1:26:45] cool. podcast apps.com is where you get one of those support
[1:26:50] your independent podcast apps. If not, you'll be very sorry
[1:26:54] when you see it because there will be one of your favorite
[1:26:56] podcasts just gonna poop just gonna disappear from Apple, as
[1:27:00] they might as well start importing your, your favorite
[1:27:02] podcasts from all of those legacy apps. What do you laugh?
[1:27:07] What are you laughing
[1:27:08] John C Dvorak: live, we'll open up the art generators he'll see.
[1:27:13] Adam Curry: Okay. We run value for value, which is a roller
[1:27:17] coaster of life, it means we put out the show with no expectation
[1:27:21] other than that you'll support us with value in return. And we
[1:27:25] take that in time, talent and treasure. You can do all we
[1:27:28] actually we got a lot of meetup reports, which is kind of fun,
[1:27:32] which we'll be doing later on. But before that, we want to
[1:27:35] thank some other people who give us valuable, very valuable work.
[1:27:40] It is our artists. And we want to thank the artists for episode
[1:27:44] 16 ad we titled that seismic Sunday, which was mentioned in
[1:27:48] the show and the art was brought to us by yet another Dutch
[1:27:51] master Matthew drop Co. He's been Dutch masters since the
[1:27:55] early 1700s. And there we have it, it was a piece of AI was the
[1:28:01] best one we felt we did look at a couple other things. We'll
[1:28:04] talk about that. But this was while we think that was the
[1:28:09] original Joe with Kamala Harris as he's passing the ice cream
[1:28:13] cone. A lot of people liked this art they thought it was funny.
[1:28:18] They immediately said hey, hey, I still can't do hands and
[1:28:22] fingers right? Which is true. Kamala had three fingers Joe had
[1:28:26] five
[1:28:28] John C Dvorak: you what's funny is that a friend of mine who
[1:28:32] teaches art drawing at the Art Center in Pasadena once told me
[1:28:38] when you're looking at art to purchase he says the hardest
[1:28:41] thing for actual artists to do is hands
[1:28:45] Adam Curry: Yeah,
[1:28:45] John C Dvorak: oh sure. Sure is to do a realistic hand in
[1:28:50] there's little hand miles and all these things but as he says
[1:28:53] that is the number one hard thing so you always look at the
[1:28:55] hands to see if the artist does any good. And you'll find that
[1:28:59] very few of them can do hands so it doesn't really shouldn't be a
[1:29:02] shock that the AI can't do hands because artists themselves can't
[1:29:08] do hands and it's hard
[1:29:09] Adam Curry: to do this wealth of cities that's not by Norquist is
[1:29:12] it
[1:29:15] John C Dvorak: I don't think so. It's got Bates has got to be one
[1:29:17] of the authors. Okay,
[1:29:18] Adam Curry: yeah, cuz people are sending me this. Oh, look at
[1:29:21] Grover Norquist
[1:29:22] John C Dvorak: is the guy who is that? No. This book should be
[1:29:26] from the 60s or 70s Not anything.
[1:29:29] Adam Curry: This is John Norquist. Oh, it's
[1:29:32] John C Dvorak: not Grover.
[1:29:32] Adam Curry: No. No, let me see when is it from his from?
[1:29:37] Doesn't say anyway, I don't think that's the one. No, the
[1:29:41] wealth of cities Norquist chronicles the decay of urban
[1:29:44] centers. No, no,
[1:29:45] John C Dvorak: no, that's not it's not about decay. It's about
[1:29:47] exploitation, fake news,
[1:29:49] Adam Curry: fake news. Everybody is fake news. So let's look at
[1:29:54] some of the other submissions that we didn't choose. I
[1:29:57] remember I was pushing for something pretty Hard was
[1:30:00] John C Dvorak: Yeah, you were pushing for the laughing
[1:30:02] coconut.
[1:30:03] Unknown: I love the laughing
[1:30:04] Adam Curry: coconut and you thought it was gruesome? It was
[1:30:08] John C Dvorak: there's nothing more gruesome than a big human
[1:30:11] mouth on something other than a human.
[1:30:13] Adam Curry: I thought it was great it was.
[1:30:16] John C Dvorak: I thought like sometimes you really fall for
[1:30:18] gruesome art.
[1:30:20] Adam Curry: But it wasn't that gruesome and you know this you
[1:30:23] had two credits.
[1:30:24] John C Dvorak: Creepy. Okay, it wasn't gruesome. You're right.
[1:30:26] It's creepy. So
[1:30:27] Adam Curry: you had two credits. And I just said you now have one
[1:30:29] credit line No, no, no, yet no, this does not qualify as, as you
[1:30:35] said gruesome and now you're backpedaling.
[1:30:39] John C Dvorak: It's gruesome and creepy. That's it's gruesome and
[1:30:43] creepy. was trying to get out of the hole.
[1:30:46] Adam Curry: So it was Kamala. She's also creepy. Let's see
[1:30:51] what else there was. Now the one that you wanted, which you use
[1:30:53] ultimately for the newsletter was the totally Joe where it's a
[1:30:57] Joe Biden sitting behind three mics and you you got this author
[1:31:01] from drop CO by the way. You got it right away, because this is a
[1:31:04] throwback callback.
[1:31:06] John C Dvorak: Yes. And yeah, I had to explain it to you. Yep,
[1:31:08] you did. And it's a callback to a Star Trek episode. From the
[1:31:14] late I think probably the first or second season, where some
[1:31:19] some Star Trek captain had to move to some, some planet to
[1:31:26] help modernize it, but they ended up turning into a Nazi
[1:31:30] state. They drugged him and then put him behind microphones to
[1:31:34] turn over the government to a bunch of fascists. And that is
[1:31:39] what this represents. And so only like, Star Trek junkies or
[1:31:45] lunatics that have a long memory of would remember this wasn't a
[1:31:49] good pick for the for the show, because it's too obscure. It's
[1:31:53] an obscure joke. Yes, it was the one the one I liked and I was
[1:31:58] trying to promote was the Taunton Neil, no agenda Kamala
[1:32:05] Adam Curry: comme la la, comme Mala. You're saying it wrong?
[1:32:09] No, it's
[1:32:09] John C Dvorak: Camela. Well, I
[1:32:11] Adam Curry: didn't like that it
[1:32:12] John C Dvorak: rhymes with Pamela. Pamela Camelus. Easy way
[1:32:15] to remember how to do it right.
[1:32:16] Adam Curry: The Dutch master Taunton, Neil, I was against it
[1:32:19] because it has a gruesome green color, which is her color, which
[1:32:22] is the Bratz color.
[1:32:23] John C Dvorak: You know, I had to relent? Yes, you did. And
[1:32:26] Adam Curry: then you said, Well, how about the one next to it
[1:32:27] from Darren I like she's wearing a British flag outfit is no
[1:32:31] good.
[1:32:33] John C Dvorak: Well, then we let's go back to this green.
[1:32:35] This green is really bad. And it's really if it was anything
[1:32:41] and then you also mentioned that the Comala doll. I said Kumala
[1:32:46] is that it? Can Camela Yeah, that Camela doll is didn't look
[1:32:50] like her? No,
[1:32:51] Adam Curry: no at all at all. No, no, that was Taunton. Neil
[1:32:54] just threw some stuff together.
[1:32:56] John C Dvorak: So it was a botch. Yeah, yeah. It was a
[1:32:58] botch.
[1:32:59] Adam Curry: And I don't think there was anything else pop up.
[1:33:04] John C Dvorak: I did like the ACT Blue Grass Roots cleaning
[1:33:07] professional showing the money laundering. And you just nixed
[1:33:11] that period. Boom. Yeah.
[1:33:12] Adam Curry: Well, clearly you agree with me, because you got
[1:33:15] chits, you got credits. So you would have pulled you would have
[1:33:17] thrown into credit. Which you did. You did. You threw in a
[1:33:20] crib. You threw in lies. And I did also like Scarem, Angus
[1:33:25] Camela, which is the camel with are coming out of his mouth. I
[1:33:30] thought that Yeah. And
[1:33:31] John C Dvorak: I thought it was just a pun. That was no good.
[1:33:33] Well, we will punt.
[1:33:35] Adam Curry: We congratulate Matthew Dropo. On the winning
[1:33:40] the
[1:33:40] John C Dvorak: lottery, we had some art to talk about at least
[1:33:43] Yeah,
[1:33:43] Adam Curry: we did. And it looks like we'll have more to talk
[1:33:45] about for this show is indeed Yes. Funny stuff. Of course, we
[1:33:50] also like to thank our executive and Associate Executive
[1:33:53] producers because it is time talent and treasure. Treasure
[1:33:56] does need to flow in order for us to pay bills just like
[1:33:58] everybody else. And as you know, we can't do advertising or
[1:34:02] anything else because the show wouldn't have been on the air
[1:34:04] for almost 17 years. So we also give out credits for these
[1:34:09] amounts, even though we're happy with anything that's how value
[1:34:11] for value works. Whatever you can afford, whatever you find is
[1:34:14] the value that you receive from the show is good with us. That's
[1:34:18] all it is good with us. But like Hollywood, we'd like to thank
[1:34:22] our executive and Associate Executive Producers $200 and
[1:34:24] above your Associate Executive Producer real credit, you can
[1:34:27] use it anywhere including imdb.com and we read your notes
[1:34:30] 300,000 above executive producer credit and we read your note and
[1:34:34] that of course is also valid wherever credits are accepted.

[1:35:12] John C Dvorak: Yeah, it was and it had been. Yeah, I use it a
[1:35:17] lot. It's really tasty. And
[1:35:19] Adam Curry: speaking of the lighter side of life after
[1:35:21] resolving a minor tech issue recently for my smokin hot
[1:35:24] girlfriend, she said, You are the sexiest guy named Brad I
[1:35:28] know. Then she caught herself and said, Wait, what is it? Oh,

[1:36:47] Adam Curry: Baron of being a Nashville Tennessee 333 dot 33
[1:36:51] John and Adam I spent yesterday afternoon in Mount Juliet. So
[1:36:55] Mount Juliet is a city in Tennessee. It exists next to
[1:36:58] another city called Nashville. Nashville is a bigger city.
[1:37:01] Nashville is a powerful city. This Nashville producer decided
[1:37:05] to invade a meet up in Mount Juliet. So basically that's
[1:37:08] everything that no agenda stands for. This is a take off on
[1:37:11] Kamala with Russia and Ukraine. Got it? Thank you, Lady Vox for
[1:37:15] hosting the meetup. It was great to meet all the other producers

[1:37:50] mouth over the years and to be listening when they've donated
[1:37:54] to the best podcast in the universe. Can I get some bar
[1:37:57] exam karma for my son Blake, who is taking the bar exam this week

[1:38:58] and I have achieved the Baron level it works it works so title
[1:39:03] title change Dr. Sir otter Baron are the flatwater also add me to
[1:39:07] the birthday List for July 30. I will be 42 Looking for
[1:39:11] relationship karma just a barren looking for a dame and then he
[1:39:15] wants a Johns fisting nuts which you hate. Kamala how Trump
[1:39:21] aroused Kamala, don't come Trump I'm going to come and yet karma.
[1:39:25] It's only 40 seconds. Well, we don't play this one off and just
[1:39:29] go for John, tell us your peeve about the fisting method of
[1:39:34] eating snacks. I
[1:39:36] John C Dvorak: see this on the airplane and it's very annoying
[1:39:38] and I think it will result in in fights breaking out because it
[1:39:41] just so annoying to watch. guy takes his bag of peanuts and
[1:39:46] throws a pile of them into his palm of his hand and then he
[1:39:50] makes a fist around the nuts. And then he shakes his fist to
[1:39:57] try to bring a nut to the little stuff. He draws a nut in his
[1:40:04] mouth from his bed. Then he does it again he shakes it throws the
[1:40:09] shakes and throws. It is annoying as hell to watch.
[1:40:15] Unknown: It was hard to get it aroused and it is hard to get it
[1:40:17] aroused, but we got an arrest. I'm gonna come.
[1:40:22] Adam Curry: Wait, where was the karma don't come second, I'm
[1:40:25] sorry,
[1:40:26] Unknown: do not come,
[1:40:27] I'm gonna come.
[1:40:30] You've got karma.
[1:40:36] John C Dvorak: By the way, the entire extent of her being the
[1:40:40] czar of the border, was that one comment. She, as far as she's
[1:40:45] concerned, she did her job.
[1:40:47] Adam Curry: But you know, it just as an aside, because people
[1:40:49] sent me this legislation, which is House resolution 253. And if
[1:40:58] you look at House resolution 253. It says, whereas on March,
[1:41:03] this was expressing the sense of the House of Representatives
[1:41:07] that Vice President Kamala Harris should be removed from
[1:41:10] her position as the head of the Biden administration strategy to
[1:41:14] address the root causes of migration whereas our March
[1:41:17] 24 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris was named borders are in
[1:41:22] charge of leading efforts to stem migration across the United
[1:41:25] States Mexico border. So this was a resolution that never made
[1:41:30] it past introduction. But people are saying let's see, she was
[1:41:34] the borders are one of that was a bunch of Republicans, you
[1:41:37] know, calling her that in this resolution, but in general, she
[1:41:41] was put in charge of the border and everybody knows it. But
[1:41:45] yeah, I
[1:41:46] John C Dvorak: don't that this is another example of what I
[1:41:49] said earlier, which is a guest is gaslighting, and as an it's
[1:41:54] like, done deliberately, I've got there were some sincerity
[1:41:58] involved, and I'm now doubting myself about that thesis. I
[1:42:01] think they're doing this purposefully. And they're
[1:42:05] insincere and they're bastards.
[1:42:11] Adam Curry: There you go.
[1:42:15] John C Dvorak: Gary miles up. He's in Port y Nimi, which I
[1:42:19] always mispronounces who Indymedia money,
[1:42:22] Adam Curry: but he gave us a little bit of gave us a handy
[1:42:24] Pronunciation Guide.
[1:42:25] John C Dvorak: Everybody I do that with some of these towns
[1:42:27] because when you look at this age guide, anybody had to take a
[1:42:30] pen write this down? Hu e n, e m, e is pronounced y nimi. But
[1:42:38] you would look at it and say Chu name Hina Me Me, me, or
[1:42:43] something? Yeah, like the chick from Harry Potter. To 11 is what
[1:42:48] he came in with greetings, cracking beause I savor the show
[1:42:52] so much I limit my listening to when I'm washing dishes.
[1:42:57] Adam Curry: By the way, that's when I listen to I listen to the
[1:43:00] podcast doing dishes and walking the dog that's all it's all the
[1:43:05] time. I can't I can't multitask driving if but I don't drive
[1:43:10] that much. So
[1:43:13] John C Dvorak: you don't have a dishwasher.
[1:43:15] Adam Curry: I tried to avoid that conversation. But yeah, we
[1:43:18] do. I just when I'm clearing out the dish, you're putting dishes
[1:43:21] in the dishwasher and I'm taking them out and putting everything
[1:43:24] away.
[1:43:25] John C Dvorak: You're putting dishes in the dishwasher and to
[1:43:27] you This means you're washing the dishes Yeah, well in some
[1:43:30] way you actually are washing the dishes but in fact all right,
[1:43:34] and we continue he says when I'm washing the dishes or watering
[1:43:38] the garden I've been donating monthly since 2015. And finally
[1:43:41] added up everything is now 2726 These night oh he hasn't even
[1:43:47] been knighted. Yeah, no, please Knight me so sir Topo G Joe
[1:43:51] Pfister of nuts How about that for
[1:43:54] Adam Curry: random number theory
[1:43:55] John C Dvorak: there you go. You just can't get away with from
[1:43:58] it. I humbly request much needed jobs karma from my wife our
[1:44:03] family has been mostly living paycheck by paycheck so she
[1:44:07] paycheck to paycheck when she decided to quit her swanky job a
[1:44:12] few years ago and hasn't found anything yet love the show it
[1:44:15] keeps me in better spirits and then he has to put into it this
[1:44:19] give her is getting every jobs karma that he wears he's asking
[1:44:22] for his didn't ask for any jobs come up for did he
[1:44:25] Adam Curry: just said he literally said he. Jobs karma.
[1:44:29] Yes. All right.
[1:44:30] John C Dvorak: I'm not relisting to my son.
[1:44:32] Adam Curry: I'm not sure she wants a job though. That's what
[1:44:34] I'm questioning here. Yeah, you know there's that Yeah, well, we
[1:44:38] we are going to give it all four jobs, jobs,
[1:44:42] Unknown: jobs and jobs. Jobs.
[1:44:48] Adam Curry: Job karma incoming Jeffrey Anton Melbourne, Florida
[1:44:52] to 1060 and he has no note. Do you have a note from Jeffrey
[1:44:57] Anton I looked at it gets a coveted double of karma
[1:45:04] Unknown: karma Melissa
[1:45:06] John C Dvorak: Alvarez port dev vereda verde Verda verdura
[1:45:13] Adam Curry: vedra Ponte very vedra Ponte ever get it Asante
[1:45:17] vedra
[1:45:18] John C Dvorak: Ponte Vedra Beach. It's not a just Ponte
[1:45:22] Vedra, it's a beach Yes. In Florida to 10 my perfect
[1:45:25] husband, poor gay. Hit me in the mouth a few years ago. I figured
[1:45:30] it's time to donate because because douchebaggery is not my
[1:45:34] style. You think
[1:45:35] Adam Curry: she needs to deduce she's not asking for it, but
[1:45:39] John C Dvorak: I would think she'd get it. Yeah, I would give
[1:45:41] her one anyway.
[1:45:43] Unknown: You've been de deuced
[1:45:46] John C Dvorak: I've been a fan of Adams headbangers ball and
[1:45:50] respect both of you. Thank you for what you do and keep it real
[1:45:53] rock.
[1:45:54] Adam Curry: Rock on sister rock on. And there he is Eli, the
[1:45:58] coffee guy from Bensenville Illinois 207 28. I'd like to
[1:46:02] shout out a product made by a fellow producer. We came across
[1:46:05] a long drink while on vacation in the Upper Peninsula. I heard
[1:46:09] about this fine adult beverage during a donation segment a few
[1:46:12] years ago when the owner mentioned it. I have to say they
[1:46:15] make a dynamite product. I'm not normally a gin drinker, but it's
[1:46:19] a great summertime super, very refreshing with a perfectly
[1:46:23] balanced flavor. Now fishing. Now fishing in the afternoon is
[1:46:27] even better. And for a great morning beverage visit gigawatt
[1:46:31] coffee roasters.com use code ITM 20 for 20% off of your coffee
[1:46:36] order. Stay caffeinated, says Eli the coffee guy. And
[1:46:41] John C Dvorak: I will recommend if anybody has a chance to go
[1:46:45] into the Upper Peninsula of MIT of Florida. No, no, he's talking
[1:46:53] about Illinois. Where no he's talking about Upper Peninsula
[1:46:57] Michigan. Oh, is that where he is? Okay, and it's dynamite it's
[1:47:04] just a dynamite place is really weird. It's kind of like old
[1:47:07] fashioned especially if it's like especially if you're
[1:47:10] hammered on jam or Don gin Yeah, it would be probably useful as
[1:47:13] Linda Lou packings up she's in Lakewood Colorado 200 bucks for
[1:47:16] normal donation which and she's always does this she asked for
[1:47:20] jobs karma and free and then says for faster, more effective
[1:47:24] job search visit image makers inc.com That's image Biggers
[1:47:28] Inc, with a que your go to for executive resumes a job by the
[1:47:33] way, go check that website as really pretty, very slick. And
[1:47:38] work with Linda Lou, Duchess of jobs and writer resume so you
[1:47:41] can find her on the list. Somebody wrote me a note. Hey,
[1:47:43] what was that website name? And I said really? Yeah. And I said,
[1:47:48] Wow, so much repetition. Wow,
[1:47:51] Adam Curry: there you go. advertising works everybody
[1:47:53] jobs, jobs, jobs
[1:47:56] Unknown: and jobs.
[1:48:01] Adam Curry: Now this is a little weird. Unless you came in again,
[1:48:04] because I remember Tiara car from Baltimore from the last
[1:48:09] show with $200 with a birthday wish to her fiance Alex Schlegel
[1:48:16] so either because he's on the 30th which would make sense
[1:48:21] since that's in between shows but it was on the last list so
[1:48:24] I'm not sure if she donated again
[1:48:29] John C Dvorak: you know, if somebody donates near the
[1:48:31] midnight hour it can you have all kinds of problems she
[1:48:35] sometimes you get double credit.
[1:48:37] Adam Curry: Credited. I'm gonna I'm going to get the benefit of
[1:48:41] the doubt. Hi, hello. Hello. I'd like to wish my amazing fiance
[1:48:45] Alex Schlegel a very happy 44th birthday on July 30 and donate
[1:48:49] $200 And no agenda on his behalf. He has been an avid
[1:48:52] listener for a long time I hope he can now be deduced we're
[1:48:55] going to DD Duchenne for deed Do you so much as Tiara car and
[1:49:03] that concludes our
[1:49:04] John C Dvorak: and by the way that should be a switcheroo.
[1:49:08] Adam Curry: Yes, I'm pretty sure he's okay. It's fine. We
[1:49:13] John C Dvorak: gonna say
[1:49:13] Adam Curry: is we Yes. Well, we err on the side of the produced
[1:49:17] caution. Yeah, we caution Yes, we caution indeed. Well, thank
[1:49:21] you very much these executive and Associate Executive
[1:49:23] producers of episode 61,681. What an amazing ride. It has
[1:49:28] been. It's mind blowing, I tell you, it's mind blowing. Thank
[1:49:34] you very much for supporting us. Thank you to all of the
[1:49:36] producers. If no one is a listener or a fan. We're not
[1:49:40] fans you're not tippers. No you return value for value want to
[1:49:44] learn more go to value for value dot info, value number four
[1:49:48] value dot info. We'll be thanking more people $50 And
[1:49:51] above because we never read anything under 50 For reasons of
[1:49:54] anonymity, and remember it is sustaining donations that really
[1:49:58] matter. So although We always appreciate these execs and
[1:50:01] associate execs if everybody did a sustaining donation it would
[1:50:05] be fantastic thank you again for supporting the no agenda podcast
[1:50:10] our
[1:50:11] Unknown: formula is this we go out we get people in the mouth
[1:50:28] Adam Curry: and I got a little bit of technology news
[1:50:31] technology news tech news. I want to share with you because
[1:50:36] you know it's hard to get technology news these days tech
[1:50:39] news no
[1:50:39] John C Dvorak: nobody wants to cover it well who said boost it
[1:50:42] they want to boost it boosted yeah hey, this is great.
[1:50:49] Adam Curry: Well, you're the AI is my beat. I think it's it's a
[1:50:54] farce I think it's falling apart. I think it's is going to
[1:50:57] take down the entire economy. That's how the economy is gonna
[1:51:00] crash. And I've always talked about a pivot. Well, breaking
[1:51:05] news everybody.
[1:51:06] Unknown: For today, a former steel mill site on Chicago's far
[1:51:09] south side will have a new purpose as home to a
[1:51:13] groundbreaking quantum computer. Business
[1:51:15] leaders say the development could make have major impacts on
[1:51:19] Chicagoland and the future industries as well. W Janice
[1:51:22] Christine floors is joining us live and details. Christine.
[1:51:25] Well, good evening, we are at steel workers park where by the
[1:51:27] year 2027. This will be the new home of the quantum computer
[1:51:32] campus. Now this was the former site of the US Steel Workers
[1:51:36] South plant which closed more than 30 years ago.
[1:51:42] Right here beneath our feet will be a catalyst for a potential
[1:51:47] revolution in science and technology and the betterment of
[1:51:50] life for all humankind.
[1:51:53] The quantum computing campus will be located off 87th street
[1:51:56] and shout out to Savile Lake Shore Drive in the city's
[1:51:59] forests outside and will be built by California based tech
[1:52:02] company site Quantum. It's the site of the former US Steel self
[1:52:06] works plant.
[1:52:08] With this multibillion dollar investment from courtside
[1:52:10] quantum quantum computing will be the premier industry of
[1:52:14] Chicago's future.
[1:52:16] During a press conference Thursday afternoon, officials
[1:52:19] estimated the facility to be about 300,000 square feet and
[1:52:23] employ up to 150 people within five years. But an even longer
[1:52:27] term plan is for it to provide answers to a number of career
[1:52:30] fields.
[1:52:31] The potential applications are vast and transformative from
[1:52:35] developing new life saving drugs, a next generation
[1:52:39] electric batteries and solar cells, this quantum computer
[1:52:42] will change the world lives works and heals. We're
[1:52:45] Adam Curry: going to change the way you heal everybody. This
[1:52:47] John C Dvorak: is entirely AI. Now let me let me get this
[1:52:50] straight. So you're gonna put in this quantum computer and nobody
[1:52:53] knows that these things even work at all. Oh, no, they don't
[1:52:57] even know you're gonna, they don't even know you're gonna go
[1:52:58] in there. And out of the blue out of the blue. It's going to
[1:53:01] create new drugs.
[1:53:03] Adam Curry: And it's new ways of healing. The investors so they
[1:53:08] have not developed the quantum computer yet. But their
[1:53:12] investors are black rock. The Founders Fund, though they're
[1:53:16] finally getting the dumb money and that's Microsoft's venture
[1:53:18] fund red point. Third point atomica government partnerships
[1:53:23] with the US Department of Energy, Queensland Government
[1:53:26] soaked the taxpayer while you're at it as right, that's right, we
[1:53:30] need to get in on this side quantum has one mission to build
[1:53:34] and deploy the first useful quantum computers was founded in
[1:53:39] 2015. How are we doing boys 10 years later. But they're
[1:53:46] building 1000s of wafers of quantum chips. Okay, perfect.
[1:53:51] But that wasn't the only completely hilarious bogus tech
[1:53:55] news. This one I love this because it's shaken up
[1:53:59] everything in Silicon Valley. Whoa, boy boy, breaking news.
[1:54:03] Got some
[1:54:03] Unknown: breaking news right now on open AI speaking of AI and
[1:54:07] chat GPT and Steve Kovac has the details. Steve's pay their damn
[1:54:10] Yeah, open AI is getting into the search business. They just
[1:54:13] announced here in a blog post minutes ago that they were
[1:54:17] testing a prototype version of a search product. You can see
[1:54:20] Google shares just reacting here done better than 2%. Now, as
[1:54:24] soon as this announcement crossed, this looks like it's an
[1:54:27] early version. They're having users sign up for a waitlist. If
[1:54:30] you've ever used the start of the app from the startup
[1:54:33] perplexity Dom, you're probably very familiar with how these AI
[1:54:36] search engines work. You ask a question, it gives you the
[1:54:40] direct answer you can ask follow up questions. You're seeing some
[1:54:42] examples here from the open AI product here. And then it also
[1:54:48] real time results from the web and gives you the sources from
[1:54:52] those results as well. Opening I hear says they are working with
[1:54:57] publishers and other websites to make sure they have proper
[1:55:00] access to all of this information and properly
[1:55:03] credited and so forth. It does sound like early days, but just
[1:55:06] the fact that opening I hear is getting involved in the search
[1:55:09] business. If you can see what it's doing here to Google, by
[1:55:12] the way, opening eyes biggest investor of Microsoft, they own
[1:55:16] 49% of open AI, they just announced a similar feature that
[1:55:20] I'm talking about right now for their Bing search engine
[1:55:23] yesterday. So this is a very hot item for search. By the way, the
[1:55:27] alphabet earnings just a couple of days ago, they were talking
[1:55:30] about their AI search project product and how that's driving
[1:55:34] engagement. But still very few details whether or not that's
[1:55:37] going to be a big moneymaker for Google but we clearly see what
[1:55:41] the market thinks with opening getting into the search getting
[1:55:43] done. I love
[1:55:44] John C Dvorak: this. This is an example of the kind of reporting
[1:55:47] I'm talking about. It's just boosterism Yeah, but I love guy
[1:55:50] does know, you know, if you ask this thing, 10 questions,
[1:55:53] there'll be nine of them completely wrong.
[1:55:56] Adam Curry: Here's what we're doing wrong. We have a great
[1:55:58] search engine Bing it.io Now we I think let me just check it.
[1:56:03] Let me just check being it dot add sir D nonnamous. Put this
[1:56:06] together. It's a real product by the bing.io. And yes, and it's
[1:56:12] actually his product. He's He's Montes monetizing this product.
[1:56:14] Now. It's called clip Genie. And it's powered by AI. But the
[1:56:21] beauty of the no agenda show with its 17 years of history,
[1:56:25] and we have 17 years of transcripts, clips, and news
[1:56:30] articles in there. And did I mention it's powered by AI?
[1:56:37] John C Dvorak: We should get some sort of venture money.
[1:56:39] Yeah,
[1:56:39] Adam Curry: breakfast, get some venture money. Just give me a
[1:56:41] topic, any topic. And I'll show you that our AI search is better
[1:56:46] than any of these guys. Just give me a topic. Any topic.
[1:56:49] Unknown: Any topic,
[1:56:49] Adam Curry: any topic, any topic.
[1:56:51] John C Dvorak: Candy manufacturing,
[1:56:53] Adam Curry: Candy menu fracturing, okay, we type it in
[1:56:57] to Well, the first hit we have is 1497 Bug peeps. And 3d 3d
[1:57:07] printed candy bars it we were talking about that. So that's
[1:57:12] the thing. I think it's a good hit good results. 1434 we have
[1:57:18] technology the size of a candy bar. I'm telling you, this is a
[1:57:21] great search engine. But what did you want to know
[1:57:24] specifically?
[1:57:27] John C Dvorak: I just You just asked for a topic. I didn't have
[1:57:29] any, any desire. FDA
[1:57:33] Adam Curry: approves candy flavored amphetamine for kids.
[1:57:38] I'm telling you, we have the best
[1:57:39] John C Dvorak: so that's always a good we should revisit that
[1:57:42] topic.io
[1:57:43] Adam Curry: Everybody is fantastic. Seriously, it's
[1:57:46] better than this nonsense. And unlike those guys, it's free.
[1:57:49] Because they failed to mention there's no business model in it
[1:57:52] for them. And final piece of tech news tech news because tech
[1:57:57] news just big tech AI in the socials. The Justice Department
[1:58:02] is in its fight now. It's a lawsuit with tick tock. And so
[1:58:07] they're they're releasing just some basic bullcrap information.
[1:58:11] Unknown: The Justice Department accuses tick tock of secretly
[1:58:14] collecting sensitive bulk data on American users. For China.
[1:58:19] The data includes views of divisive topics like gun
[1:58:23] control, abortion, and religion. The Justice Department says this
[1:58:27] would allow China in theory to manipulate tic TOCs feed to
[1:58:31] create division and undermine American democracy. This was the
[1:58:35] DOJ his first response to the lawsuit filed by parent company
[1:58:39] bytedance, who is suing the US government over a bill banning
[1:58:43] Tiktok. If the Chinese firm does not sell the American portion of
[1:58:47] its operation.
[1:58:48] Adam Curry: So notice that they say in theory they could be
[1:58:51] selling, they could be giving this to China, and that's saying
[1:58:53] they gave it to China. Whereas not even theoretical Google and
[1:59:00] Microsoft and Microsoft in particular, are actually selling
[1:59:03] your information to the highest bidder on the open markets,
[1:59:07] including
[1:59:08] John C Dvorak: China, including China. Microsoft has a lot of
[1:59:13] its operations in China.
[1:59:15] Adam Curry: Yes, horrible. All right. I think I feel obliged we
[1:59:20] need to discuss the Olympics briefly as we had the UI for
[1:59:23] John C Dvorak: you that you want to stay on China. China. Yeah, I
[1:59:28] have some China clips I want to get out of the way all right.
[1:59:31] Because this is important. This is this has not been covered by
[1:59:33] anybody.
[1:59:34] Adam Curry: Yes, this you sent me this video and I looked at it
[1:59:38] and I was like, I was like wow, who knew? It's in the show
[1:59:43] notes. It is in the show notes. It's worth 13 minutes of Wow. Is
[1:59:48] John C Dvorak: yes it's 30 minutes Wow. And it this is the
[1:59:52] part I thought was the most interesting that begins with a
[1:59:55] bunch of fires that are going on in China China's on the verge of
[1:59:57] a civil war according to at least this this comment Data um,
[2:00:00] where was this from this video I forget, because it's Chinese one
[2:00:03] of these Chinese operation. I mean, it's not from China. It's
[2:00:06] called China today of China Watch or something and they,
[2:00:09] they're so negative. They're not pro China by any means you can
[2:00:12] tell. But they, they're something that has shown up on
[2:00:17] NHK and elsewhere is these unbelievable debts that the
[2:00:21] small Chinese provinces are, have developed in the trillions
[2:00:26] and trillions and is believed that the Chinese government as a
[2:00:28] whole is in the hole for as much as we are with our ridiculous
[2:00:32] data.
[2:00:33] Adam Curry: You know, why? Because
[2:00:34] John C Dvorak: they don't have any bitcoin. Yeah, that's the
[2:00:36] reason. So here we go. China's Civil War one
[2:00:40] Unknown: back in the days under the collective economy in rural
[2:00:43] China, it is estimated that over 30 to 40 million farmers starve
[2:00:47] to death. Xi Jinping has not acknowledged this period and
[2:00:50] public statements. Critics argue that his policies reflect a
[2:00:54] continuation of practices from the mouth donor area, which they
[2:00:58] claim led to significant loss of life. In preparation for this so
[2:01:03] called internal war, Xi Jinping has been laying the groundwork
[2:01:07] for some time, and a recent military political work
[2:01:10] conference in yen and besides the official statements
[2:01:13] published by state media attendees reported that he also
[2:01:16] gave an impromptu speech. This speech has circulated through
[2:01:21] various channels corroborated by multiple independent sources and
[2:01:24] it seems to be appreciated revelation, its content aligns
[2:01:28] closely wishes actual political maneuvers. In the speech, He
[2:01:32] admonished the entire CCP. We are in yen and today for a
[2:01:37] military meeting, preparing for internal war, you must realize
[2:01:41] that we are facing severe economic and political crisis
[2:01:45] and internal wall, the wall has already begun. If we do not
[2:01:49] respond with war, our party and government will go bankrupt.
[2:01:53] You've seen the establishment of police tax combat centers
[2:01:56] nationwide. This is a wartime state comrades. We will not
[2:02:01] overcome this crisis if we do not use combat to collect taxes.
[2:02:05] Just like the Comintern blockade, Yan, and back then it
[2:02:09] Adam Curry: really works better with the visuals because you see
[2:02:11] the tanks rolling out and you see the the marching soldiers
[2:02:15] and everything.
[2:02:16] John C Dvorak: Yes, and you also see the hyper rich Chinese. The
[2:02:21] idea here is that they think that they that they're gonna go
[2:02:25] broke China, which a lot of people have suspected. And so so
[2:02:30] she's decided to collect get the money back from the Chinese
[2:02:35] billionaires,
[2:02:36] Adam Curry: why don't they just print more money like like we
[2:02:38] do? Well, they
[2:02:39] John C Dvorak: do that, too, doesn't help. So they're going
[2:02:43] to
[2:02:43] Adam Curry: tax your church. This is our future that the US
[2:02:46] government will just roll out the tanks to collect the money
[2:02:49] from the billionaires.
[2:02:50] John C Dvorak: I don't know if that's the case here. It's not
[2:02:53] they're not making plans for it. But they are in China, according
[2:02:56] to this report, God land there. They want to take the
[2:03:00] billionaire class and they wanted to soak up and take all
[2:03:02] their money at gunpoint, at gunpoint and redistribute the
[2:03:07] wealth. I mean, this is of course, more likely in a
[2:03:09] communist society, which is still is kind of and so there's
[2:03:13] no there's too many billionaires in China. I think there's more
[2:03:16] there than there are here. And so they're going to just soak
[2:03:19] them in here we go with part two.
[2:03:20] Unknown: Now the US and Western economies are blockading us. We
[2:03:24] are fighting on two fronts just like before. Now the police and
[2:03:28] tax authorities are cooperating to trace back 30 years and
[2:03:33] reclaim the surplus value from the wealthy wasn't agree that
[2:03:37] the rich would help the poor. Now we have to confiscate their
[2:03:40] wealth through combat forcefully if we don't, how can we survive
[2:03:45] this crisis? If the police tax cooperation fails to resolve the
[2:03:49] economic dilemma we must implement a wartime economy if
[2:03:53] necessary, the military must step in. If economic discontent
[2:03:57] builds up to a critical mass with mass bankruptcies of
[2:04:00] individuals, banks and enterprises. A storm will arise
[2:04:04] that could threaten our state power, our country and our party
[2:04:08] cannot go bankrupt. Although the authenticity of the leaked
[2:04:12] internal speech attributed to Xi Jinping cannot be verified, it
[2:04:15] appears to reflect elements of his governance strategy. This
[2:04:19] speech suggests a focus on addressing internal challenges
[2:04:22] through stringent measures indicates a strategy that
[2:04:25] includes using forceful means to collect tax and reclaim citizens
[2:04:29] property. Additionally, the concept of a wartime economy
[2:04:32] aligns with the karmic, political and military measures
[2:04:35] she has implemented in recent years. Observers suggest that if
[2:04:40] an economic crisis escalates, it could lead to a significant
[2:04:43] social unrest and potential violence. If I may
[2:04:49] Adam Curry: drop some knowledge on you. China has 406
[2:04:57] billionaires according to Forbes as of April 20 You 24 They are
[2:05:01] number two on the list. Number one is the United States, in
[2:05:06] fact, with 813 billionaires?
[2:05:10] John C Dvorak: Well, they're not going to be 400 much longer,
[2:05:13] Adam Curry: you know as number three
[2:05:16] John C Dvorak: Saudi Arabia, India. Oh, yeah,
[2:05:20] Adam Curry: that makes sense. Saudi Arabia are they even on
[2:05:23] the chart, now they're
[2:05:24] John C Dvorak: billing, you get one. So, so they, so the thing
[2:05:28] that's going to happen because this happened, when, in 9798
[2:05:32] era, when the Communists were gonna get Hong Kong back, there
[2:05:38] was a flight, most of them went to Canada and free Canadians
[2:05:44] offered full citizenship for I think, $250,000 If I'm not
[2:05:48] mistaken, maybe more by the time it started. Really getting
[2:05:53] going. And they just fled. And that's what's going to happen
[2:05:56] with these, these 400 billionaires are going to take
[2:05:58] their, as much money as they can get out of the country, which is
[2:06:02] not easy to do, but they it's doable. And leave year,
[2:06:07] Adam Curry: they're gonna come here, you're
[2:06:08] John C Dvorak: gonna come here, put your money in our stuff. And
[2:06:11] your next thing, you know, you're gonna have a bunch of
[2:06:12] rich Chinese over here that will be spending, you know, the same
[2:06:16] way they did over there is gonna be over here. Hey, Lee Lee want
[2:06:20] to buy some bitcoin? It's gonna be it's gonna be a bonanza. For
[2:06:24] us, Hey,
[2:06:25] Adam Curry: we can take some investment for our AI powered
[2:06:28] search engine.
[2:06:29] John C Dvorak: Now you're talking let's go into last clip.
[2:06:31] Unknown: This speech acknowledges that during Mao's
[2:06:33] era, everything could be covered up, all crimes were hidden. The
[2:06:37] CCPs propaganda is filled with so much misleading information.
[2:06:41] And even the unprecedented tragedy of millions starving to
[2:06:45] death was sold off completely, so much so that young people
[2:06:48] today still can't believe it, attributing it to natural
[2:06:51] disasters. However, a total censorship is no longer possible
[2:06:55] in a crisis a truth cannot be hidden. Under the CCP role, the
[2:06:59] Chinese populace has faced the victim restrictions on human
[2:07:02] rights. Currently surging pains, administration faces substantial
[2:07:05] challenges in maintaining credibility, both domestically
[2:07:08] and internationally. There is notable disparity between state
[2:07:12] propaganda and the actual conditions within the country.
[2:07:15] As a result, many Chinese citizens are increasingly
[2:07:18] skeptical of state media and are seeking alternative sources of
[2:07:21] information. Yeah,
[2:07:23] Adam Curry: and so there was shown a whole bunch of video of
[2:07:25] explosions and all kinds of weird stuff happens
[2:07:28] John C Dvorak: in great videos, but everyone's got a camera
[2:07:30] phone, and you know, what are you gonna do? You can't stop
[2:07:32] that people pass them around. They get on the net. You
[2:07:35] Adam Curry: said that just like Obama phone?
[2:07:39] John C Dvorak: That's a camera phone.
[2:07:40] Adam Curry: Yes. Yeah.
[2:07:43] John C Dvorak: So they guess this could be bogus, but it's at
[2:07:47] least something we should be aware of? Well,
[2:07:48] Adam Curry: they put a lot of effort into creating this video
[2:07:50] if it's bogus, so I'm not quite sure if Well,
[2:07:53] John C Dvorak: that and, and it is well known that there are a
[2:07:56] huge, and there's a lot of research companies that have
[2:07:59] been looking into it. They've done studies on just the amount
[2:08:03] of light output in the various areas.
[2:08:06] Adam Curry: Yeah. As Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's, you can tell how
[2:08:09] things are going. You
[2:08:11] John C Dvorak: can tell things are going bad how lit up it is,
[2:08:14] and it's not looking good. So well, here's something to think
[2:08:18] about. Well,
[2:08:20] Adam Curry: we need to keep them big and scary, because you know,
[2:08:23] we got to build huge ships.
[2:08:25] John C Dvorak: Well, we can do that anyway. So the Yeah, you're
[2:08:29] right, we would this information may or may actually be a
[2:08:32] detriment to our schemes.
[2:08:34] Adam Curry: Let's hope not. We need ships and subs. Big,
[2:08:38] beautiful, sleek service, cheaper than any other subs they
[2:08:41] go. To the Olympics started.
[2:08:45] John C Dvorak: Oh my god.
[2:08:47] Adam Curry: Let's listen to the NPR report of the four hour
[2:08:53] opening show. Extraordinary,
[2:08:55] Unknown: audacious impertinent, full of surprises. You know,
[2:08:58] Paris became an open air theater last night with performances
[2:09:01] along rooftops, the riverbanks the monuments. 12 amazing
[2:09:05] tableaus unfolded with seams like liberty and darkness. Lady
[2:09:09] Gaga on either last few day performing with pink plumes on a
[2:09:12] piano, a French Revolution scene with a hard rock band and Marie
[2:09:15] Antoinette decapitated heads speaking from a window in the
[2:09:19] castle where she was actually held prisoner before her
[2:09:21] guillotine, a hooded medieval character ran across the Paris
[2:09:25] rooftops with the Olympic flame, a glowing White Horseman gallop
[2:09:28] down the middle of the river dancers hung beautifully from
[2:09:31] the scaffolding of Notre DOM of
[2:09:35] any room for the you know, the athletes.
[2:09:38] Of course, there were 85 boats carrying 6800 Waving athletes
[2:09:43] from 205 nations they sailed by in the river procession in the
[2:09:46] middle of it all. They looked excited with smiles on their
[2:09:49] faces, something we haven't seen in the last two Olympics because
[2:09:52] of COVID. Scott did I mentioned the stunning light show at the
[2:09:55] Eiffel Tower? Yeah, it all landed with the flame coming
[2:10:01] back down the river in a speedboat driven by tennis star
[2:10:04] Serena Williams Rafael Nadal USA sprinter Carl Lewis and Romanian
[2:10:08] gymnast Nadia Coleman each remember her to the twin gardens
[2:10:12] where it was lifted up into the dark Paris sky over the Louvre
[2:10:15] in a hot air balloon, while Celine Dion who hasn't sung and
[2:10:18] for years, belted out a classic from French icon Edith Piaf. Oh,
[2:10:22] my word.
[2:10:23] Adam Curry: Oh, my word NPR really have their finger on the
[2:10:27] pulse of the nation, as you can tell, because there was a little
[2:10:30] controversy but before we get to that there's little there's more
[2:10:33] of this NP there's more of this NPR report got to
[2:10:37] Unknown: tell you that Marie Antoinette stuff shook me up a
[2:10:38] bit. Such a spectacular Oh, yeah. Any problems? Well,
[2:10:43] the rain it came down on us the whole time, but it didn't bother
[2:10:46] everyone. We spoke to Daniela Rodriguez from New Jersey.
[2:10:49] Listen to her. It
[2:10:50] was rainy but it was worth it. Definitely.
[2:10:52] I like to lean beyond everything on the river, the horse, of
[2:10:56] course, just floating through the water. But carrying the
[2:10:59] plane through the river trail, you
[2:11:00] know, and this morning, Scott, I spoke to my neighbor 70 year old
[2:11:03] piano peacock who said she was going to her TV for four hours
[2:11:07] last night listen to her
[2:11:08] since she needed to simply mom mushy
[2:11:13] said it was sure magic, a huge moment for France. And she added
[2:11:17] that she was also relieved that everything went well
[2:11:19] Adam Curry: and PR no just going to their neighbors for
[2:11:22] reporting. There were
[2:11:23] Unknown: those attacks on the high speed train network in the
[2:11:25] early hours of yesterday. How did that affect the ceremony?
[2:11:29] Yeah,
[2:11:29] that sabotage, coordinated sabotage, you know, briefly
[2:11:32] crippled train service. This huge investigation is underway.
[2:11:36] But you know, it didn't affect the ceremony, but it made people
[2:11:39] a little jittery. Before the opening. The security has been
[2:11:41] massive. They had to anticipate threats from the sky, the ground
[2:11:44] the water, even under the water. They used sonar and anti drones.
[2:11:48] There were 50,000 police officers and soldiers on the
[2:11:51] streets of the capital. Scott they close the Paris airspace
[2:11:54] for six hours. That's unprecedented.
[2:11:56] Adam Curry: Oh my god, the security was amazing. Before we
[2:11:59] get to another clip about the opening, here's a brief I
[2:12:04] thought funny little. I call it a gap but I think it could be
[2:12:08] used of the security the security. Oh my, please. Let's
[2:12:13] go to the streets and tell us about the security.
[2:12:16] Unknown: Hey, good morning, Robin. Yeah, you mentioned that
[2:12:18] tight security. This is what that looks like. Check it out.
[2:12:22] The Octo Trump is just behind me.
[2:12:23] Adam Curry: Now. What did you hear her say?
[2:12:25] Unknown: Bark to Trump? Yes, exactly.
[2:12:28] Adam Curry: Like to Trump.
[2:12:29] Unknown: I like Trump
[2:12:32] Adam Curry: as great art to Trump. What a moron. So did you
[2:12:36] see any of the opening games? John the the opening of the
[2:12:38] games.
[2:12:39] John C Dvorak: Did you see the opening ceremonies where you
[2:12:41] said yes. The
[2:12:42] Adam Curry: opening ceremony. Did
[2:12:43] John C Dvorak: you see? Yes, it was dreadful. They had cancan
[2:12:49] dancers that were uncoordinated falling, kicking with the wrong
[2:12:53] leg not kicking a guy. It was they couldn't kick it all it was
[2:12:59] it would that was one thing then they had a sacrilegious scene of
[2:13:04] drag queens pretending to be at the Last Supper Christ Last
[2:13:07] Supper. It was totally blast from us. Then they had a some
[2:13:13] sort of a play that was taking place with a couple with a guy
[2:13:17] dressed as a harlequin in a library and some girl flirting
[2:13:21] with him. And then a guy flirting with him and he runs
[2:13:24] off with the guy and some sort of gay tryst, the whole thing
[2:13:27] was gross. I couldn't eat at some point. I just turned it off
[2:13:30] because it was just ridiculous. It was terrible.
[2:13:33] Adam Curry: Yeah. And that was the general consensus. I don't
[2:13:37] know why were NPR gets their reporting from they didn't watch
[2:13:40] it. I don't think they did either. I think they just read
[2:13:43] the rundown of what was going to happen because without a doubt,
[2:13:48] on social on the social medias, there was a lot of mean people
[2:13:52] just like well, this is not good. Is what is happening here.
[2:13:56] Now. I got this clip. It's a local clip. Because one of the I
[2:14:01] think ceasefires one of the big ads or certainly a large
[2:14:04] advertiser on the Olympic Games, and they're pulling out of there
[2:14:09] who see spire so i don't know i Yeah. What do they do their
[2:14:15] other tech company? I think colons C Spire. They are Yeah,
[2:14:19] have a internet wireless business. It solutions. I think
[2:14:23] they're pretty big.
[2:14:25] Unknown: I never heard of them, but okay. They got built.
[2:14:28] Adam Curry: They got huge, huge buildings, huge buildings. When
[2:14:31] you see the logo, you're like, oh, yeah, I've seen that logo.
[2:14:35] This was surprisingly unlike NPR not surprising. I like NPR. A
[2:14:40] balanced report specifically about the Last Supper part.
[2:14:44] Unknown: I love Lady Gaga and Celine Dion, but I thought it
[2:14:47] was very disrespectful and sacrilegious. Mississippians
[2:14:50] are responding to the Paris Olympics opening ceremony the
[2:14:54] ceremony not only getting backlash from viewers, but also
[2:14:57] local companies. See spire into social media announcing that
[2:15:01] they are pulling advertising from the Olympics. That
[2:15:05] technology company feeling like the sporting event made a
[2:15:08] mockery of the Last Supper. Some believe a portion of the Olympic
[2:15:11] open was emulating the final meal. Jesus shared with his
[2:15:15] disciples before his crucifixion, saying what they
[2:15:18] saw during the performance does not align with Christian values
[2:15:22] at all. I
[2:15:23] think it's just indicative of how people tend to criticize a
[2:15:27] Christians religion rather than any other religion, it wouldn't
[2:15:31] have wouldn't have flown if it had been against the Muslim
[2:15:34] religion or another religion.
[2:15:35] Others feel the opening ceremony is being misunderstood and has
[2:15:38] nothing to do with Christianity.
[2:15:41] There's confusion over the Greek representation that was meant by
[2:15:44] that piece. So probably just checking in a little bit more
[2:15:47] about the cultural piece that was being pulled into that. But
[2:15:51] I don't think that it was pulling in the Italian Last
[2:15:54] Supper, art at all. We reached
[2:15:56] out to sea spider, the President and CEO Susie Hasting see spider
[2:16:01] is supportive of our athletes who have worked so hard to be a
[2:16:04] part of the Olympics. However, we will not be a part of the
[2:16:08] offensive and unacceptable mockery of the Last Supper,
[2:16:11] which is why we're pulling our advertising from the Olympics.
[2:16:15] Gov. Tate Reeves also went to Twitter standing in full support
[2:16:19] of ceasefires decision, saying I am proud to see the private
[2:16:22] sector and Mississippi step up and put their foot down. God
[2:16:26] will not be mocked, oh,
[2:16:29] Adam Curry: he's quoting Galatians six, God will not be
[2:16:31] mocked. And you know, the power went out supposedly are
[2:16:34] apparently a lot of pictures in most of Paris. And people were
[2:16:38] posting that on social media saying God will not be mocked.
[2:16:41] Now, the organizers themselves those responsible for this
[2:16:45] opening ceremony say it was a big misunderstanding. This was
[2:16:49] not the Last Supper. It was a depiction of the ancient Greek
[2:16:53] but I call a baka now, of course, the games are Greek
[2:16:58] games. Bukka NALEO. Now the blue guy the blue dude, that would be
[2:17:03] the god of wine. And these Bacchus Bacchus Yes, and the,
[2:17:10] this is the Dion Dion is us, the Greek god IO nesis. That's what
[2:17:15] I'm saying. The Greek god of fertility, later known as the
[2:17:19] god of wine and pleasure. And so this was a depiction of the
[2:17:23] hedonism of the day of the Olympic Games. Now, of course,
[2:17:28] we all saw that, you know, we had the fat, the fat dude with a
[2:17:33] golden crown in the middle. I mean, there was definitely a
[2:17:36] little wink there towards the Last Supper. Also, it wasn't it
[2:17:40] wasn't death on the pale horse that was Sequana Goddess of the
[2:17:44] Sand the river anyway big Miss big miss by the Olympics and
[2:17:51] what really stuck out forget the religious aspect. See, like,
[2:17:57] what was what was with all the dudes and the gayness and the
[2:18:00] trainees is that I mean, I France may be humorless and burn
[2:18:08] their churches but I didn't think they were stupid. I mean,
[2:18:12] this was
[2:18:12] John C Dvorak: just It was unbelievable. It was probably
[2:18:14] the worst opening ceremony for the last 20 years especially
[2:18:19] when it compared to what China did. Oh, which was not only
[2:18:23] elaborate but tasteful this was this was not tasteful. That's
[2:18:27] exactly bring
[2:18:28] Adam Curry: back the days of Lionel Richie flying in with the
[2:18:31] white piano Come on people that this was it made no sense now. I
[2:18:36] mean, but forever this will be known as the Olympics that
[2:18:40] mocked the Last Supper they just blew it. They blew it big time.
[2:18:44] And I say blew it intentionally there was and they had kids with
[2:18:50] all the with the with the drag queens. It was it was weird.
[2:18:56] Like why why? Why? And I don't want to watch the Olympics now
[2:19:01] it's put a bad taste in my mouth again. Pun intended.
[2:19:07] John C Dvorak: Full upon I am so
[2:19:09] Adam Curry: a little more color about a little more color about
[2:19:12] the organization. There was another gaffe of course, I mean,
[2:19:15] if the French screw up once they're gonna go all the way
[2:19:18] John C Dvorak: United five Olympic organizers say they are
[2:19:21] deeply sorry for a major mistake during yesterday's opening
[2:19:24] ceremonies. The public address announcer identified South
[2:19:27] Korean athletes as representing the Democratic People's Republic
[2:19:31] of Korea. That's the official name for North Korea. South
[2:19:35] Korea goes by the Republic of Korea. Olympic leadership says
[2:19:39] that mix up was a regrettable mistake. South Korean officials
[2:19:42] have requested a meeting with the International Olympic
[2:19:45] Committee. Today is the 71st anniversary of the Korean
[2:19:49] armistice. I
[2:19:50] Adam Curry: think the pope should call for a meeting. I
[2:19:52] want a meeting. I'm the Pope. I want a meeting what are you
[2:19:56] people thinking? So this there sorry about Oh, really? Really
[2:20:00] sorry about that. Sorry about that Korea didn't
[2:20:02] John C Dvorak: mean to do it. Yeah, that's what they're sorry
[2:20:04] about. They should be sorry about the whole thing. And
[2:20:06] Adam Curry: then NBC in their infinite wisdom somehow, not
[2:20:10] only I mean, I don't know who did the deal was Snoop Dogg to
[2:20:15] carry the Olympic flame. But he also is an official commentator
[2:20:19] for NBC Sports everybody. This is awesome. stoop had a
[2:20:23] Unknown: great time he is going to be with us during these
[2:20:26] games, and joins us now. Snoop, what was it like to carry the
[2:20:30] Olympic torch on the day of the opening ceremony?
[2:20:32] Like, is too hard to put in words, baby I mean, the deal
[2:20:37] double was holding a torch. Walking through the city man. I
[2:20:40] felt like Muhammad Ali. It was extraordinary. It was excellent.
[2:20:44] And I found out that when you hold the torch, you a piece
[2:20:47] messenger. So I really felt good about that. Tell
[2:20:51] me about how people were looking at the folks who as you were
[2:20:53] going by were just waving taking pictures and sharing the moment
[2:20:57] with you. Like
[2:20:58] I was waving, shaking hands kissing the baby's doing what I
[2:21:02] do you understand me putting my foot in the pavement letting
[2:21:05] people know that we're here. We're here for peace, love and
[2:21:08] unity and great sportsmanship. That's what we're here for baby.
[2:21:11] Nothing
[2:21:12] Adam Curry: says sportsmanship like Snoop Dogg everybody that
[2:21:16] was weird bubble. I mean, you
[2:21:18] John C Dvorak: know they pay Celine Dion 1 million flat.
[2:21:21] Well, she deserved it and you know she's a million dollars to
[2:21:25] sing one song. Yes, yes. Yes. Yeah. Nobody deserves that.
[2:21:29] Yeah, she
[2:21:29] Adam Curry: does. She's She's dying. She's she's in a horrible
[2:21:32] condition. And then Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga was on the scene. And
[2:21:38] and then at the very end, as it as we had torrential rains,
[2:21:42] Unknown: unfortunately, the swimmers weren't the only ones
[2:21:44] getting wet today in Paris. Coors drenched Beach,
[2:21:48] volleyball, athletes and spectators alike. Skateboarding
[2:21:52] was postponed but the women's cycling time trial was not.
[2:21:56] There were a lot of crashes. The heavy rainfall could also cause
[2:22:00] sewage to overflow into the sun affect the latter quality.
[2:22:04] Sunday's practice session for triathletes and distance
[2:22:07] swimmers may be canceled with Tuesday's competition in
[2:22:10] jeopardy. But hopefully
[2:22:12] we get a swim bike and run because I don't swim this much
[2:22:16] to just run by.
[2:22:19] Adam Curry: So I don't know what she said. So torrential rains,
[2:22:24] because God will not be mocked. And then at the end, at the very
[2:22:29] end, they hoisted the Olympic flag and it was upside down.
[2:22:35] John C Dvorak: I didn't see that. Yeah. Yeah, it was I heard
[2:22:39] about it. Upside down Upside down.
[2:22:42] Adam Curry: Yeah,
[2:22:42] John C Dvorak: he's there in distress. He had flipped a flag
[2:22:45] over you're in distress and they, I think are but then I
[2:22:48] agree with you about the events eight it's like it's like the
[2:22:52] whole thing's it's soured ever. I think it's soured a lot of
[2:22:55] people. And NBC is partly responsible and
[2:22:58] Adam Curry: and ultimately, the people who do these types of big
[2:23:01] shows they are globalist Satanists. We've seen it time
[2:23:04] and time again. Every single time opening a tunnel.
[2:23:08] John C Dvorak: I didn't even think of that angle. Yeah,
[2:23:10] Adam Curry: I think that's what they're doing. That's why they
[2:23:12] show all this hedonistic stuff. There's no real. I mean, was it
[2:23:15] funny to show Marie Antoinette with her cut off head? I mean,
[2:23:20] John C Dvorak: no, it wasn't funny. It was kind of creepy.
[2:23:22] And it wasn't just one of them. By the way, there was a bunch of
[2:23:24] duplicates in different windows you have
[2:23:26] Adam Curry: chosen that as show art sorry, would you have chosen
[2:23:32] a Marie Antoinette with her? No, of course not. Because it's what
[2:23:35] is it? It's gruesome gruesome it's so if the no agenda show
[2:23:39] won't even put that on, on on show art. I mean, these this is
[2:23:45] all satanic. They are they're just what they are. Do you see
[2:23:47] the guy who produced this thing? Oh my god. He's got all kinds of
[2:23:52] satanic tattoos and devil worship. It's sickening. And
[2:23:58] it's interesting. I didn't know any of that. Yeah. And I and I,
[2:24:01] and I liked it this that it came out this way. So that people can
[2:24:05] finally see that these people are not okay. It's like every
[2:24:10] single big ceremony. Oh, man. What
[2:24:13] John C Dvorak: the grandmas China.
[2:24:16] Adam Curry: They got other problems.
[2:24:18] John C Dvorak: They're in the midst of a screwed up either.
[2:24:20] Adam Curry: You're in the midst of a civil war. No, America did
[2:24:24] well, we did again, was the last time we did okay. Lionel Richie
[2:24:28] white pianos. Beautiful. When was the last was a
[2:24:31] John C Dvorak: this was this was I didn't think of it as satanic
[2:24:34] but not you mentioned wise.
[2:24:36] Adam Curry: Oh, please. Oh, please. Absolutely. That's what
[2:24:41] they do. And
[2:24:43] John C Dvorak: the worst part is France. You know, you think that
[2:24:45] they have taste. Now they know how to put on a show.
[2:24:49] Adam Curry: Now. They're burning down their churches over there.
[2:24:51] They don't care. They don't care.
[2:24:57] John C Dvorak: Well, it's a humiliation for them. As it
[2:25:00] should be.
[2:25:04] Adam Curry: Let's see, of course, while this all took
[2:25:07] place, we had we had all kinds of bad stuff going on in the
[2:25:14] Middle East and in Israel. We had another tit for tat. Kill
[2:25:19] some people over here kill some people over there. Oh, yeah,
[2:25:22] let's expand this. Let's bring in Hezbollah. There are
[2:25:25] Unknown: growing fears that a conflict between Israel and
[2:25:28] Hezbollah as Israel continues its war with Hamas and Gaza.
[2:25:34] People died after airstrikes destroyed a school serving as a
[2:25:39] shelter for displaced Palestinians. Israeli military
[2:25:43] says it was targeting a mosque command center Meantime, Prime
[2:25:47] Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is blaming Hezbollah for a rocket
[2:25:51] attack on a soccer field in Golan Heights. 11 people died in
[2:25:55] that airstrike has Bilaal says it was targeting a military
[2:25:59] location. So
[2:26:01] Adam Curry: this is just the new thing. I'm going to kill some
[2:26:03] citizens. It was a military installation under that soccer
[2:26:06] field. I'm going to kill some citizens over there in the
[2:26:09] hospital or the whatever the kids are hiding. They had a
[2:26:12] military installation there. Stop it. Stop it, you idiots.
[2:26:18] And Bibi spoke in the Senate. We heard about that. And then as as
[2:26:23] was scheduled, he went to go see the 45th President of the United
[2:26:27] States that is home estate in Mar a Lago. It's
[2:26:31] Unknown: a photo op Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
[2:26:33] Netanyahu rearranged his schedule to get meeting with
[2:26:37] former President Donald Trump Amid growing pressure to secure
[2:26:40] a ceasefire and hostage deal in Gaza.
[2:26:43] There's been some
[2:26:46] military pressure exerted. Netanyahu
[2:26:48] says Israeli negotiators are going to Rome for talks that
[2:26:52] include Qatar, Egypt and the US CIA director. Friday's meeting
[2:26:56] is the first between Trump and Netanyahu since 2020. Trump
[2:27:00] insists they remain on good terms despite having expressed
[2:27:04] outrage that Netanyahu congratulated President Biden
[2:27:07] for his win over Trump in 2020. But there is tension in
[2:27:10] Netanyahu his relationship with President Biden over the ongoing
[2:27:13] Gaza War. His meetings with Biden and vice president Kamala
[2:27:17] Harris, and addressed to Congress and movements around
[2:27:20] Washington were followed by 1000s of pro Palestinian
[2:27:23] protesters. Netanyahu is walking a fine line not knowing who will
[2:27:27] be in the White House come January. It's no secret the
[2:27:30] Israeli leader would prefer a Trump administration. But
[2:27:33] there's a newly reenergized Harris campaign and she promises
[2:27:37] to be more outspoken on the war in Gaza.
[2:27:39] We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot
[2:27:43] allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not
[2:27:48] be silent.
[2:27:50] John C Dvorak: Good. Because
[2:27:53] Adam Curry: yeah, yeah. Well, so now the race is on. This is a
[2:27:57] political point at this. i If Harris is smart, she'll she'll
[2:28:01] hang back a little bit. But the fear is, as as we've discussed,
[2:28:05] the fear is that Trump is going to negotiate a peace deal. And
[2:28:10] he'll he'll he'll keep this running a little bit longer, but
[2:28:14] it would maybe in October surprise something to make him
[2:28:17] look like the big the big Peacemaker.
[2:28:22] John C Dvorak: Here's the anti de Netanyahu wrap.
[2:28:27] Adam Curry: Let me see.
[2:28:29] John C Dvorak: Under Netanyahu Yeah, I
[2:28:32] Adam Curry: don't see Netanyahu is there. No. Would it start
[2:28:36] with Netanyahu?
[2:28:38] John C Dvorak: Yeah, then no, I
[2:28:40] Adam Curry: have Monica Crowley Morning Joe hate and then Pastor
[2:28:43] Manning. I don't have an I don't have a Netanyahu. Oh, is it
[2:28:50] called something else?
[2:28:52] John C Dvorak: Ah, you just it's from the last show sorry. Oh,
[2:28:56] well like to look at I'm
[2:28:57] Adam Curry: not gonna find that but just want you to know that.
[2:29:00] Yeah, yeah.
[2:29:01] John C Dvorak: I'm looking at the wrong I'm looking at the
[2:29:02] wrong call sheet.
[2:29:05] Adam Curry: Because you know, you kind of you kind of like,
[2:29:08] scoffed at me there. So which one is Netanyahu in Congress?
[2:29:12] one two and three? Overview overview. Got it. Okay. Israeli
[2:29:24] Unknown: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint
[2:29:26] session of Congress for the fourth time today, the first
[2:29:30] foreign leader ever to do so. He thanked the US for its support
[2:29:34] and made the case for why the US should keep supplying Israel
[2:29:37] with tools to fight Hamas. Some lawmakers. No good.
[2:29:42] Adam Curry: No, we
[2:29:42] John C Dvorak: played it already. I remember playing it
[2:29:48] alright, I just didn't exit off my mistake. So I screwed up.
[2:29:51] Okay,
[2:29:52] Adam Curry: so okay, hey, before we have a light number. Before
[2:29:56] we go to light clips I've got I've received word from Several
[2:30:00] air traffic controllers. Oh, I want to hear about this. What
[2:30:04] was the story again that we had was on the previous
[2:30:07] John C Dvorak: clip again, it's under ATC.
[2:30:10] Unknown: Yes I have it here another airport public safety
[2:30:12] issue is being resolved air traffic controllers will be
[2:30:16] getting longer rest breaks between shifts. The Federal
[2:30:20] Aviation Administration announced longer rest breaks for
[2:30:23] air traffic tower workers. A scientific panel assess the risk
[2:30:26] of fatigue and recommended 10 to 12 hours between shifts in the
[2:30:30] 2025 contract agreement between the FAA and the national air
[2:30:35] traffic controllers Association tower workers will get 10 hours
[2:30:39] off between shifts. Those who work at midnight will have 12
[2:30:43] hours off before and after the shift. The agreement also
[2:30:47] includes fewer in successive overtime assignments. Union
[2:30:51] chief rich Santa says air traffic controller fatigue has
[2:30:54] been an issue for years. He believes the New Deal quote will
[2:30:58] begin to provide relief to the understaffed workforce. The FAA
[2:31:03] has already had to reduce the number of flights in New York
[2:31:06] and Florida because of the lack of controllers to help ease the
[2:31:09] shortage. FAA administrator Mike Whittaker says the agency plans
[2:31:14] to hire and train more than 1500 controllers this year.
[2:31:19] Adam Curry: So the anonymous controller sent in a note his
[2:31:24] wife sent in a note as well. So I'm going to read pieces from
[2:31:28] each the claim controllers that she might be the claim made on
[2:31:33] this new segment is there'll be less overtime required shift
[2:31:36] fewer and six successive overtime assignment assignments,
[2:31:40] please What a joke. We've been working six days a week for
[2:31:44] years with little relief due to low staffing. And I'm gonna get
[2:31:49] to that why that is in a moment. So he says there's a minimum
[2:31:56] number that has to be met before planes start getting rerouted
[2:31:59] around airspace they don't magically stop. So that's false
[2:32:02] of this news report. They just fly longer as my wife emails
[2:32:05] younger balloons and that the flight does not get canceled,
[2:32:08] they simply get moved to other airspace at times. Overloading
[2:32:13] other controlling airspace New York, Washington and Cleveland
[2:32:16] are notorious for this now, here is the longer note responding to
[2:32:20] your discussion about hiring air traffic controllers. By the way,
[2:32:23] if you're new to the no agenda show, this is why we are
[2:32:27] literally the best podcast in the universe. Because we have
[2:32:30] producers in every line of work, all you have to do was send out
[2:32:33] a bad signal. Here's the details in 2023, there were over 12,000
[2:32:38] applicants, but only 1500 applicants were selected. At
[2:32:43] first glance, this may seem like the FAA has a highly selective
[2:32:46] process. But you'd be wrong to assume that the generation that
[2:32:50] is joining the workforce is the generation of children who have
[2:32:53] been on ADHD medication since they were in preschool. As you
[2:32:58] as you are aware, but others may not be you can't control
[2:33:01] airplanes, if you've ever been on or currently on SSRIs without
[2:33:06] a medical waiver, which takes years to get from a flight
[2:33:09] surgeon and would never happen for a new hire. So 20 Somethings
[2:33:14] are now feeling one of the many very real consequences of their
[2:33:17] parents allowing overzealous doctors to indiscriminately
[2:33:20] prescribed Adderall and antidepressants to them as
[2:33:23] children. Along with that, yes, you and John, were correct. We
[2:33:27] were correct in your assessment that they are probably doing a
[2:33:30] lot of dei hiring sort of that's been happening for about 10
[2:33:34] years, and failing miserably. So now we're seeing an influx of
[2:33:38] boring white men come through the door, because who would have
[2:33:42] guessed it? The people who dominated the career field
[2:33:45] before dei are the same people who are good at the job? I can
[2:33:49] say this because I'm not a white man. And while I've got your
[2:33:53] ear, let me complain that dei has actually caused pilots to
[2:33:57] question me. So this is the anonymous controllers wife to I
[2:34:02] guess she's not white, she's black dei complaints has
[2:34:06] actually caused pilots to question me and doubt me because
[2:34:10] they hear my voice and assume I'm a dei hire, instead of a
[2:34:13] competent controller who has been doing this job for a total
[2:34:16] of 15 years including military time, DCI roads, all good
[2:34:21] things.
[2:34:22] John C Dvorak: I agree. And this is this is a theme that came up
[2:34:26] on the show I actually you and Mo did this. About to fear and
[2:34:31] I've heard this from other sources to fear that the entire
[2:34:36] idea of dei is to discredit black people
[2:34:40] Adam Curry: is what is his what's happening? Yeah.
[2:34:43] John C Dvorak: And she's what she's telling us what's going
[2:34:46] on. She's probably extremely competent with all that with
[2:34:49] their background in
[2:34:50] Adam Curry: yours including military I mean, come on. So
[2:34:54] this is this is what is done. Thank you. Larry Fink Black Rock
[2:34:58] was your idea. Very, very destructive. Yeah, that's
[2:35:03] John C Dvorak: just uh, yeah. Democrats at work.
[2:35:09] Adam Curry: You can just blame it on. Okay. Yeah.
[2:35:12] John C Dvorak: Well,
[2:35:12] Adam Curry: I guess. I guess. It's it's sad. That's right.
[2:35:17] That makes me mad. And I never questioned my air traffic
[2:35:21] controllers. Mainly because if you question them be like, hey
[2:35:28] why don't you fly? Fly to Houston and come back for a
[2:35:31] landing in Dallas? No, no, no, I'm trusting my controllers.
[2:35:37] John C Dvorak: Who want to play a call in on C span? Oh,
[2:35:41] Adam Curry: all right. This has been this is new.
[2:35:45] John C Dvorak: No, it's not new. No,
[2:35:47] Adam Curry: I mean, normally. I mean, I've I've been doing that
[2:35:50] beat for a while toll our sends me at least three a day. Most of
[2:35:55] them are not usable. So you must have something really good here.
[2:36:00] John C Dvorak: why? It's because I have a comment. Now, this is
[2:36:04] the C span Linda McGovern clip. It's not from Linda Maga. It's
[2:36:08] about McGovern. And I want to contradict what she has to say,
[2:36:13] having been a voter at the south to election who was Linda
[2:36:18] McGovern. No, it's not. Linda McGovern is a woman named Linda.
[2:36:22] Oh, about talking about my government. Okay, here we
[2:36:25] Unknown: go. Next call is Linda. And Linda is in Dobbins,
[2:36:29] California Democrat. Linda, do you think the President made the
[2:36:32] right decision by dropping out of the race?
[2:36:35] Oh my gosh, you know, I was gonna vote for him because I
[2:36:39] have complete faith in Joe Biden, I first got interested in
[2:36:45] politics. When I was in high school, I did a report in an
[2:36:48] exam, the 68 convention, and it got me totally stirred in
[2:36:55] politics. Then I've watched the whole Nixon debacle and voted in
[2:37:01] 72 for the very first time and you had just said that. Biden
[2:37:06] came in as Senator, I believe you said in 72. And then he ran
[2:37:11] for office in 87. And that, you know, when you think back about
[2:37:15] plagiarism, and then all of the corruption now is this in this
[2:37:21] time? Oh, my gosh, you know, how crazy the differences. I was
[2:37:25] gonna vote for Biden back then. And I am so proud of him. He is
[2:37:31] he's got so much class integrity, morals. You know,
[2:37:36] he's just everything that our country needs, you know, and
[2:37:40] especially at a time like this, and for him to step down and
[2:37:44] pass a gauntlet to Kamala Harris. I am so proud of him. I
[2:37:48] am so proud to be a supporter of his and I'm from California. And
[2:37:53] I know Kamala Harris and I voted for her every single time she
[2:37:57] was up for election, I vote every single election.
[2:38:00] Linda, where are you living? Where were you living in? 1972?
[2:38:04] Would you cast your first vote?
[2:38:06] Sounds just go.
[2:38:07] And did you vote for
[2:38:10] George McGovern? Actually, yeah, it was, it was like two evil.
[2:38:15] Which one? Which one was, you know, it was one of those
[2:38:19] elections where I wasn't proud to vote for either one. But I
[2:38:23] had already gotten a clue about Nixon. So McGovern was the only
[2:38:28] other choice. But you know, with living learn, right? You have to
[2:38:34] sometimes you have to vote for the lesser of two evils. And you
[2:38:38] know, who ended this particular point? And so proud to vote for
[2:38:43] Kamala Harris.
[2:38:44] Adam Curry: Okay. Now,
[2:38:45] John C Dvorak: once you Oh, my God. Why this theme of this show
[2:38:50] is the Democrats are literally stupid. And this by the way,
[2:38:55] McGovern was the get was the anti awards is probably the last
[2:39:00] anti war candidate that the Democrats ever had. But govern
[2:39:04] stems from the fact that Eugene McCarthy was upsetting the
[2:39:07] applecart and came in and got very popular with the students
[2:39:10] and all the anti war people in in 72, because the war was
[2:39:14] dragging on the Vietnam War. So he was going to get the
[2:39:19] nomination and then Robert Kennedy came along and kind of
[2:39:23] just pushed him out of the way it was in a very awkward way and
[2:39:27] nobody liked and then he got killed. Yes bomber and so then
[2:39:32] there were the Democrats, again, like they are announced, were
[2:39:34] scrambling around, but they wanted to keep their anti war
[2:39:37] stance solid. And so they brought in McGovern, who was a
[2:39:41] sweetheart, partly the lesser of two evils as she described it.
[2:39:47] In fact, her description is disgusting and probably just a
[2:39:50] lie. Or stupid. Or maybe she's a war monger. I don't know but I
[2:39:56] just when I heard this clip, I got very annoyed by it. Yeah.
[2:40:00] Because McGovern was anything but the lesser of two evils to
[2:40:02] anyone voting in 1972.
[2:40:05] Adam Curry: Can I? Can I suggest something here? Because you say
[2:40:11] your your theme for the show as Democrats are stupid. Is it
[2:40:15] possible they've been put under a hex spell of some sort?
[2:40:21] John C Dvorak: Wow. Yeah, that's exactly right.
[2:40:24] Adam Curry: Thank you. That's what I wanted to hear.
[2:40:34] John C Dvorak: Maybe I
[2:40:36] Adam Curry: have a, I have a California clip that I'd like to
[2:40:39] share because I found this to be rather interesting. homeless
[2:40:44] Unknown: encampments across California may soon be taken
[2:40:47] down with more urgency sparked by a recent US Supreme Court
[2:40:51] decision allowing an Oregon City to issue citations and arrests
[2:40:54] for sleeping outside. Governor Gavin Newsom issued a state
[2:40:58] order directing California officials to quote, move
[2:41:01] urgently to address dangerous encampments while supporting and
[2:41:04] assisting the individuals living in them. Some homeless advocates
[2:41:07] were caught off guard and outraged. This
[2:41:10] is really a punch in the gut, super
[2:41:12] sad and disappointing Jennifer freedombox That she already sees
[2:41:17] 1000s of people on a waitlist for housing in San Francisco,
[2:41:20] and that all the city's shelter beds are already full.
[2:41:23] They want to basically
[2:41:24] crack down on folks who have no other choice. California
[2:41:28] has the largest homeless population in the nation, more
[2:41:31] than 180,000 people. According to a 2023 homelessness
[2:41:35] assessment report to Congress, the state's policies following
[2:41:38] the Supreme Court decision are being closely watched by other
[2:41:41] cities and states across the nation. An estimated 650,000
[2:41:46] people are experiencing homelessness nationwide, more
[2:41:49] than a 12% increase since 2020. About a dozen big city mayors
[2:41:53] across California support the governor's directive while
[2:41:56] emphasizing a need for housing solutions. Los Angeles Mayor
[2:42:00] Karen Bass put out her own statement pushing back on quote,
[2:42:03] strategies that just move people along from one neighborhood to
[2:42:07] the next.
[2:42:08] Adam Curry: So what you're hearing here is no solutions for
[2:42:13] these people, zero solutions. And all these instances and not
[2:42:18] in and organizations. They're all none of them want to solve
[2:42:23] the problem because then they're their clients actually literally
[2:42:26] call them clients, their clients, you know, they can't
[2:42:28] have them solved because then we're all out of a job. And
[2:42:31] there's just no. And I would like to recommend the a guy I
[2:42:35] met eight years ago, Alan Graham, I think we've talked
[2:42:38] about on the show before he started the community first
[2:42:41] village outside of Austin, they're now in phase three, they
[2:42:45] have over 450, tiny homes. The end is not policed as a
[2:42:49] community and 85 He says 85% Of all the people that they bring
[2:42:55] in off of the streets with very minimal screening. It works out
[2:43:00] fine for them. They'll never leave the community but they're
[2:43:02] in this community. They have mental issues. They know they do
[2:43:05] have some drug issues, and as long as they're not stealing
[2:43:08] each other's bikes, and it's okay. The community kind of
[2:43:11] police's itself has been extremely successful. And of
[2:43:15] course, they received no funding, no funding. And he and
[2:43:19] I just I mentioned this because Joe Rogan heard about him, and
[2:43:24] had him on his most recent episode is a dynamite episode
[2:43:27] and you take a look at community for his village. That's a real
[2:43:30] solution. And all of this is just bull crap. They don't care
[2:43:34] about these people.
[2:43:35] John C Dvorak: No, they don't but 400 out of is 400 and
[2:43:39] 180,000 with
[2:43:41] Adam Curry: this, which this is Austin. This is Austin.
[2:43:45] John C Dvorak: I my solution. I you know what it is? I've said
[2:43:48] it before because no other way of doing this. Yeah, find some
[2:43:52] area and create let it let a shanty town like the rest of
[2:43:56] South America. And lots of Europe. Let a shanty town emerge
[2:44:03] and people can go there. I mean, that's the only workable
[2:44:07] situation is it works in the favelas in Brazil. And it works
[2:44:12] all over South America and it works in parts of Europe. I know
[2:44:16] it's the disk is it's a blight. But at least it gets people out
[2:44:21] of these tents in the middle of town in San Francisco where
[2:44:24] there's just it's like you go downtown is a tent, but not not
[2:44:28] a tent. What am I saying? There's like 100 tents. Well,
[2:44:33] Adam Curry: isn't that basically the same thing as a tiny
[2:44:35] village?
[2:44:37] John C Dvorak: But the tents, yeah, and the shanty town. No,
[2:44:41] the shanty towns are a little different because it's not
[2:44:42] coordinated just completely itself itself. works itself out.
[2:44:49] Adam Curry: Well, where should we do? Should we do this in
[2:44:53] Alameda, California.
[2:44:57] John C Dvorak: There's no room now you need an area where
[2:44:58] there's a bunch of opens based in South San Francisco is
[2:45:01] perfect. The whole side of the hill, south, there's a hillside
[2:45:05] now I think about it because people in Brazil if you go to
[2:45:08] Rio
[2:45:09] Adam Curry: got to be on a hill, you got to have a bitch
[2:45:11] John C Dvorak: would they bitch they say, you know, the best
[2:45:13] views of Rio the best is in the favelas, because the favelas
[2:45:18] took over the hills. And so if you want to get a good view, you
[2:45:22] go up into the shanty towns up into villas, and you can see
[2:45:25] wow, it was beautiful up here. Just south of San Francisco, in
[2:45:29] South San Francisco, there is a giant sign on a hill that says
[2:45:33] South San Francisco, and it's all is not populated. It would
[2:45:37] be a perfect favela, that whole hill, and you could start
[2:45:42] building there, just let it go. And you don't have to do
[2:45:44] anything. Once it gets going. It just gets going. And that's what

[3:06:28] money and and he Dana had a very good suggestion. Go to
[3:06:34] unclaimed.org find out it put your name in there. It'll show
[3:06:37] you all the possible money, you have money. And in California,
[3:06:42] for example, I mentioned this. If you keep your money in a
[3:06:46] bank, and you don't access it or touch it or do anything for
[3:06:50] about a year, they still just kick it, kick it to the state
[3:06:53] stealing from you. They steal it and they kick it to the state
[3:06:57] and you go back to your bank account. They say oh, no, no,
[3:06:59] it's been sent to the state. You haven't been talking to us for
[3:07:03] like a year. So everyone's got a bunch of money. It turns out I
[3:07:07] have a bunch of money that are refunds from State Farm
[3:07:10] Insurance. Wow. Are you gonna want to just put it and take it
[3:07:15] off my
[3:07:16] Adam Curry: bill? Donate to the show, man. You got dough. Now
[3:07:19] you're so anyway, Brunetti
[3:07:20] John C Dvorak: says, And he doesn't answer the phone that
[3:07:22] way, by the way, just because he'll give me grief
[3:07:27] Adam Curry: retired go for banana Brunetti. So
[3:07:32] John C Dvorak: he, his idea is that if you find a bunch of
[3:07:36] money, you should chip in to the show was you know, whatever. Oh,
[3:07:40] no, you said chip in by said shippin. So I'd say 20% That
[3:07:45] would be good. unclaimed.org. Now in certain states, for
[3:07:49] example, they have all of this stuff. They have all my
[3:07:51] California stuff on there. But I have to click on a link to go to
[3:07:55] the California site and start the process over because callate
[3:07:58] this site will take most of the states and they'll do all the
[3:08:02] work for you right on the site. So you get a bunch of money
[3:08:05] there's money everyone out there's got money that is
[3:08:08] sitting around waiting to be picked
[3:08:09] Adam Curry: up. And what is that website again?
[3:08:11] John C Dvorak: unclaimed.org.org
[3:08:17] Adam Curry: I believe we've discussed this on the show
[3:08:19] before Joe was years years and years ago. Let me go to being
[3:08:26] a.io Yes, I think it was episode 377 That's how long Yeah, yeah,
[3:08:34] here it is. Oh, listen to this. This will be forgotten. Dead
[3:08:38] bison and bison. There's nothing like it.
[3:08:42] John C Dvorak: David Daniels Dallas Texas 5412 In The Morning
[3:08:46] John and Emerson he suggested it look for unclaimed property so I
[3:08:49] went to the Texas unclaimed property website we formed a
[3:08:52] search on my name and yes that's
[3:08:53] Adam Curry: the first time that 377 We talked about it was a
[3:08:56] producer tip another producer tip at the time. Yeah. And I
[3:09:02] would add to that tip of the day because I have done this and I
[3:09:08] have I think I've gotten all the unclaimed money that was out
[3:09:10] there was a couple 100 bucks from New Jersey etcetera.
[3:09:14] However, if you are not on good terms with your former spouse,
[3:09:18] you can probably just forget about it because often they will
[3:09:21] need identification proof from both people which would it
[3:09:28] depends on the state it depends on the state well New Jersey is
[3:09:31] like that and I think Texas is like New Jersey and New York for
[3:09:35] sure. I will
[3:09:36] John C Dvorak: mention something else we discussed which is that
[3:09:41] brunette he got into this. He's looking at you can look up other
[3:09:44] people on unclaimed.org and then call them have someone that's on
[3:09:50] the on the run on the lam you can get their address get gives
[3:09:54] you their address. It's actually kind of a security issue. Yeah,
[3:09:58] so he looked you up And you're correct. He found a bunch of
[3:10:03] money for me but then he looked you up and he said there was we
[3:10:06] couldn't find anything. Nope. So you have actually clear it out.
[3:10:10] I've
[3:10:10] Adam Curry: cleaned it up, baby. I'm riding high. I'm high on the
[3:10:13] hog. That's right.

[3:12:38] Adam Curry: oh yeah they have to gaslight themselves into
[3:12:40] believing
[3:12:41] John C Dvorak: they're basically gaslighting themselves and
[3:12:44] they're all in it's embarrassing to watch but people forget
[3:12:55] Unknown: Democrats forget people forget
