[0:01] Speaker 1: Hey, this is Stephen Ferdik.
[0:02] Speaker 2: I'm the pastor of Elevation Church and this is our
[0:05] Speaker 2: podcast and I wanted to thank you for joining us today.
[0:08] Speaker 1: Hope this inspires you. Hope it builds your faith.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Hope it gives your perspective to see God is moving
[0:12] Speaker 2: in your life.
[0:13] Speaker 1: Enjoy the message.
[0:17] Speaker 2: I want to tell you something that happened to me
[0:19] Speaker 2: last summer. I have a friend who lives in another country,
[0:23] Speaker 2: Kin Costa. He's originally from South Africa. He resides now
[0:28] Speaker 2: in London, England. He travels the world. He comes to
[0:30] Speaker 2: see me once a year. Just turned seventy. It's good man.
[0:34] Speaker 2: He has a book out called Joseph of Arimathea. Free
[0:37] Speaker 2: plug for my friend, because he gave me the scripture
[0:40] Speaker 2: that I want to use to frame our message. Not
[0:43] Speaker 2: necessarily to preach the scripture, but to frame the message.
[0:47] Speaker 2: And I figured I owed him a book plug. So
[0:49] Speaker 2: check it out on Amazon, Kin Costa, Joseph of Arimathea.
[0:54] Speaker 1: Now that that's out the way. When he comes to
[0:56] Speaker 1: see me, he will usually bring three or four scriptures
[1:00] Speaker 1: and we'll read the scriptures together. He jot them down.
[1:05] Speaker 2: This is the paper that he brought me in July
[1:07] Speaker 2: when he came to see me after my break family
[1:10] Speaker 2: break this summer, and he brought me these scriptures and
[1:13] Speaker 2: we sat on the porch and we looked at the
[1:16] Speaker 2: scriptures and the first one was Exitus fourteen fourteen, and
[1:19] Speaker 2: we read it together, and he said, that's the wrong one,
[1:22] Speaker 2: and so we moved on. He gave me Joshua three four,
[1:26] Speaker 2: Isaiah forty two sixteen, and then Leviticus twenty six ten.
[1:32] Speaker 2: I probably should admit this, but I normally skipped Leviticus
[1:37] Speaker 2: on the Bible reading plans. It's not my go to
[1:40] Speaker 2: book to fight discouragement. But we looked at it and
[1:48] Speaker 2: we read it together.
[1:49] Speaker 1: Put that one on the screen. Leviticus twenty six ten.
[1:53] Speaker 2: The Lord says you will still be eating last year's
[1:56] Speaker 2: harvest when you will have to move it out to
[1:59] Speaker 2: make room for the new.
[2:04] Speaker 1: And we read that together, and I said, well, what
[2:08] Speaker 1: does it mean? He said, I don't know.
[2:13] Speaker 2: I put it in my Bible in a few weeks ago.
[2:15] Speaker 2: I Uh, it fell out of my Bible on a
[2:19] Speaker 2: Friday night. I started looking at it again and I
[2:21] Speaker 2: texted it over to Bishop td Jakes.
[2:23] Speaker 1: I said, what does it mean? He said, Oh, that's
[2:25] Speaker 1: a good one. And he preached about it and that
[2:30] Speaker 1: was good. Well.
[2:35] Speaker 2: The phrase that I want to use and put it
[2:38] Speaker 2: up there again is where it says, make room for
[2:41] Speaker 2: the new. And the Lord told me to tell you today,
[2:45] Speaker 2: make room for the new. This is a word from
[2:50] Speaker 2: the Lord for somebody who is in this room or
[2:55] Speaker 2: at one of our campuses. Come on, let's thank God
[2:57] Speaker 2: for all of our locations. From Lake Norman all the
[3:02] Speaker 2: all the way to Matthews. We are spanning South Charlotte
[3:08] Speaker 2: with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and beyond Melbourne, Florida
[3:12] Speaker 2: University City. You wouldn't believe it. Raleigh, North Carolina is
[3:17] Speaker 2: even joining us. I gotta admit I didn't see that coming.
[3:24] Speaker 2: So y'all drove in for make room for the new.
[3:30] Speaker 2: This is a word for you, make room for the new.
[3:35] Speaker 2: You know I'm getting into old stuff now. I've got
[3:39] Speaker 2: about eighty records upstairs in my office at my house
[3:43] Speaker 2: and a turntable vinyl. Something about getting up and having
[3:47] Speaker 2: to only listen to three songs at a time is
[3:49] Speaker 2: preferable to having every song in the history of the
[3:52] Speaker 2: universe on my phone at my fingertips. For some reason
[3:55] Speaker 2: I would rather listen through a scratchy analog representation of
[3:58] Speaker 2: the music than a digital re creation of the music
[4:01] Speaker 2: that fits.
[4:01] Speaker 1: In my pocket.
[4:02] Speaker 2: I think there's something comforting about something that you used
[4:07] Speaker 2: to touch and hold old.
[4:11] Speaker 1: You know.
[4:12] Speaker 2: I used to like something and be attracted to it
[4:14] Speaker 2: if it was new. But now I like old stuff.
[4:19] Speaker 2: It's just I like I like old. I like old,
[4:22] Speaker 2: I like old songs, I like smashing pumpkins. I don't
[4:29] Speaker 2: need any of this new stuff. I don't need any
[4:33] Speaker 2: of the I like the old stuff. The hymns that
[4:36] Speaker 2: I used to yawn through in church are the ones
[4:39] Speaker 2: that I now write songs around as as a grown man.
[4:43] Speaker 2: And so a lot of things come full circle in
[4:45] Speaker 2: your life that you don't appreciate at the time. Uh.
[4:48] Speaker 1: But the the.
[4:50] Speaker 2: The challenges now to hold on to the old to
[4:54] Speaker 2: the exclusion of receiving the new. When I shared with
[4:59] Speaker 2: you last last week, we were given a picture of
[5:02] Speaker 2: Peter who was having to fight against the traditions and
[5:06] Speaker 2: the customs of the well meaning circumcised believers. And one
[5:10] Speaker 2: thing that it is difficult for us to appreciate about
[5:13] Speaker 2: this community is that they were receiving from God an
[5:18] Speaker 2: entirely new system by which to relate to him. Imagine
[5:22] Speaker 2: that at one point you had to atone for your
[5:24] Speaker 2: sins with the blood of bulls and goats, and now
[5:28] Speaker 2: instead of shedding the blood of an animal, you were
[5:30] Speaker 2: trusting in the blood of Christ. That's a very difficult
[5:34] Speaker 2: thing to apprehend when you had something tactile, something you
[5:38] Speaker 2: could touch, and now you have to believe something by
[5:41] Speaker 2: faith the paradigm of justification. We call it justification by faith,
[5:47] Speaker 2: but it's actually justification by grace through faith. See, it's
[5:52] Speaker 2: not how much faith you have that saves you, it's
[5:54] Speaker 2: how much grace God has that saves you. Because if
[5:58] Speaker 2: it was about how much faith I had, I would
[6:01] Speaker 2: be going to heaven one five minute period, and I
[6:04] Speaker 2: would be bound for the same hell as a serial
[6:06] Speaker 2: killer in the next five I don't always have that
[6:09] Speaker 2: much faith, sometimes high, sometimes low. And depending on whether
[6:14] Speaker 2: you catch me at nine am and I've had my
[6:16] Speaker 2: coffee or whether you catch me after one of my
[6:18] Speaker 2: kids said something disrespectful, I might have a lot of
[6:21] Speaker 2: faith or a little bit of faith. The point is
[6:24] Speaker 2: not how much faith that I have, it's who I
[6:25] Speaker 2: have my faith in y'all ain't gonna help.
[6:28] Speaker 1: Me preach a bit today.
[6:31] Speaker 2: This Bible says that it is by grace you have
[6:33] Speaker 2: been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves. It
[6:36] Speaker 2: is the gift of God, not of works. So that
[6:39] Speaker 2: no one can boast and think about this. God's people
[6:42] Speaker 2: had always related to God through a covenant that was
[6:47] Speaker 2: based on works, that was based on keeping the law.
[6:52] Speaker 2: And now all of a sudden, in the passage I
[6:54] Speaker 2: shared last week, not only are they learning to relate
[6:58] Speaker 2: to God by faith, which is the hardest thing in
[7:01] Speaker 2: the world, to just take it by faith. We talk
[7:05] Speaker 2: a good game when it comes to faith. We say
[7:08] Speaker 2: we're trusting in the Lord with all of our heart
[7:12] Speaker 2: and leaning not to our own understanding. But it still
[7:16] Speaker 2: creates a tension, which is how much should I trust God?
[7:20] Speaker 1: And how much should I try myself?
[7:24] Speaker 2: This tension is written into the very script. The nascent
[7:28] Speaker 2: days of the church were filled with this kind of tension.
[7:32] Speaker 2: So the community God's people, they are now learning to
[7:36] Speaker 2: relate to God in a brand new way. Touch somebody say,
[7:40] Speaker 2: make room for the new. And just about the time
[7:44] Speaker 2: they're getting used to this paradigm of grace, here come
[7:48] Speaker 2: the gentiles who were the ones they were supposed to
[7:51] Speaker 2: stay away from. And the point guard of the New
[7:56] Speaker 2: Testament All Star team, Peter, is going in eating with
[8:01] Speaker 2: these people who are contagious. I use that word for reason,
[8:09] Speaker 2: because when I told you that they wouldn't associate with gentiles,
[8:13] Speaker 2: you're like, well, that's wrong. You know, it's easy to
[8:16] Speaker 2: recognize a truth when you're not living in the tension
[8:20] Speaker 2: of it. It's easy for us to look back on
[8:27] Speaker 2: certain issues of racial segregation now and say why in
[8:32] Speaker 2: the world. But when you're living in the tension of it.
[8:36] Speaker 2: When you're living in the tension, you can lose sight
[8:40] Speaker 2: of the truth. And in the tension of the New
[8:44] Speaker 2: Testament Church, there's not only grace versus works, but there's
[8:48] Speaker 2: this exclusive idea that God is blessing a select group
[8:53] Speaker 2: of people.
[8:54] Speaker 1: And then now get this tension with me.
[8:56] Speaker 2: They have to try to figure out how to protect
[8:58] Speaker 2: what they've been entrusted with at the same time that
[9:01] Speaker 2: they don't hold it too tightly.
[9:04] Speaker 1: Every parent can relate to this.
[9:07] Speaker 2: How do I protect my kids while not putting my
[9:11] Speaker 2: kids in some sort of bubble where they won't be.
[9:14] Speaker 1: Prepared for the real world.
[9:17] Speaker 2: How do I I'm thinking this about Abbey right now,
[9:19] Speaker 2: She's probably going to be pretty. She's already pretty nine
[9:23] Speaker 2: year old, probably going to be a pretty thirteen year old.
[9:26] Speaker 2: Then there's probably going to be some thirteen year old
[9:28] Speaker 2: boy that wants to come.
[9:29] Speaker 1: Up and talk to her about something. And how am
[9:31] Speaker 1: I supposed to let her out of her room.
[9:34] Speaker 2: And trust a thirteen year old boy when I've been one?
[9:39] Speaker 1: How will I do that? I don't know. But what
[9:41] Speaker 1: I do know is this. You ready.
[9:44] Speaker 2: This is the first thing I've said that you probably
[9:46] Speaker 2: will want to write down today, but hopefully.
[9:48] Speaker 1: Not the last. Okay.
[9:51] Speaker 2: Your tolerance for tension determines your potential for growth.
[10:02] Speaker 1: Your tolerance for tension determines.
[10:09] Speaker 2: What I say, your potential for growth. And we don't
[10:16] Speaker 2: like tension when it comes to Christianity.
[10:20] Speaker 1: God said it, I believe it. That settles it.
[10:26] Speaker 2: Let me tell you right now, brother, it doesn't matter
[10:28] Speaker 2: if you believe it or not.
[10:29] Speaker 1: God said it. That settles it. You can just take
[10:31] Speaker 1: the middle of it right there out. God said it,
[10:33] Speaker 1: That settles it.
[10:33] Speaker 2: But wait a minute, wait a minut, Wait a minute,
[10:35] Speaker 2: wait a minute to sit with the tension of what
[10:39] Speaker 2: God actually said.
[10:43] Speaker 1: As opposed to the.
[10:45] Speaker 2: Tradition of what we heard God said through the filter
[10:49] Speaker 2: of personal preference and prejudice.
[10:54] Speaker 1: It's the gift of tension.
[10:56] Speaker 2: If you hire a trainer at what's the name of
[10:59] Speaker 2: a planet fitness. If you hire a trainer, I don't
[11:02] Speaker 2: even know if you can do that at planet fitness.
[11:04] Speaker 2: But if you hire a trainer at the gym, they
[11:07] Speaker 2: are going to at some point teach you about the
[11:10] Speaker 2: gift of tension for the building of muscle. If you
[11:14] Speaker 2: hire a trainer and they do not employ tension in
[11:18] Speaker 2: the training regimen, you should fire the trainer because time
[11:23] Speaker 2: under tension is the.
[11:24] Speaker 1: Formula for growth.
[11:27] Speaker 2: And yet when it comes to our movies, we love tension.
[11:32] Speaker 2: When it comes to our television entertainment Netflix binging content,
[11:38] Speaker 2: we love tension. I don't want to watch a show
[11:40] Speaker 2: about somebody who had a good day. I want to
[11:43] Speaker 2: watch a show about somebody who ended up on drugs
[11:46] Speaker 2: and had to fight a whole gang single handedly and
[11:49] Speaker 2: almost died in the process, and got a divorce and
[11:52] Speaker 2: went bankrupt. But what makes for a good TV show
[11:56] Speaker 2: is the kind of stuff we try to pray away
[11:58] Speaker 2: from our lives. So I started the year praying something
[12:03] Speaker 2: really weird. I said, God, increased the quality of my problems. Lord,
[12:14] Speaker 2: I want higher quality problems in twenty twenty. The reason
[12:20] Speaker 2: I prayed that is because I tried asking Him in
[12:23] Speaker 2: previous years take my problems away.
[12:27] Speaker 1: That was an ineffective prayer. He did not.
[12:30] Speaker 2: Seem too interested in answering that prayer to take my
[12:33] Speaker 2: problems away.
[12:35] Speaker 1: In fact, it seems as if some of.
[12:38] Speaker 2: The things that came into my life in one season
[12:41] Speaker 2: as a problem, some of the things that came into
[12:44] Speaker 2: my life as opposition, were the things that God used
[12:49] Speaker 2: to create opportunities for me to know him and make
[12:54] Speaker 2: him known.
[12:57] Speaker 1: So what's crazy? What's crazy?
[13:02] Speaker 2: Everybody say it's crazy. What's crazy about Leviticus twenty six
[13:08] Speaker 2: ten is it can be interpreted as either a blessing
[13:15] Speaker 2: or an inconvenience, because the scripture said that if you
[13:23] Speaker 2: live in alignment with God in an agreement with his covenant.
[13:26] Speaker 1: This is the old covenant, which was by works.
[13:30] Speaker 2: Remember, they had to conditionally receive the favor of God
[13:35] Speaker 2: through certain behaviors in community, and so as Moses is
[13:39] Speaker 2: giving them all of this law. They've been out of
[13:42] Speaker 2: Egypt only for a very short time. They've constructed a tabernacle,
[13:46] Speaker 2: which is a space where they can.
[13:47] Speaker 1: Meet with God.
[13:49] Speaker 2: And he says, in verse nine, let's just get a
[13:51] Speaker 2: running start at it. I will look on favor with
[13:55] Speaker 2: you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers. And
[13:58] Speaker 2: I will keep my covenant with you, old covenant, the
[14:03] Speaker 2: covenant that was established through obedience and works. It was
[14:08] Speaker 2: still grace, but it was grace measured out through behavior.
[14:12] Speaker 2: Can I teach the Bible on this particular worship service?
[14:17] Speaker 2: So then when he gets to verse ten, he says,
[14:20] Speaker 2: if you will keep your end of the covenant, then
[14:24] Speaker 2: you will still be eating last year's harvest when we
[14:26] Speaker 2: have to move it out to make room for the new.
[14:30] Speaker 2: I'm so glad that I am not under that contract anymore.
[14:37] Speaker 2: I really am. I don't want God to give.
[14:40] Speaker 1: Me what I deserve. I don't want God to be
[14:43] Speaker 1: fair to me.
[14:45] Speaker 2: I don't want God to relate to me on the
[14:48] Speaker 2: basis of how much I prayed last week.
[14:51] Speaker 1: I really don't.
[14:52] Speaker 2: I don't want him to I don't want him to
[14:54] Speaker 2: treat me according to what my lifestyle would merit. And
[14:58] Speaker 2: so we understand now. I think most of us in
[15:00] Speaker 2: this church understand that this is the Old Covenant, but
[15:03] Speaker 2: it's the same community. They have progressed from a point
[15:07] Speaker 2: where they were wandering in the wilderness until we get
[15:10] Speaker 2: to Acts chapter eleven, and now they are becoming a church.
[15:14] Speaker 2: Now in that setup, I want to go back into
[15:16] Speaker 2: Acts chapter ten and I want to read the story
[15:19] Speaker 2: to you again, or as we said last week, the
[15:22] Speaker 2: whole story. You never really know the whole story. That's
[15:26] Speaker 2: why you got to keep living. That's why you got
[15:28] Speaker 2: to keep praying. That's why you got to keep believing.
[15:32] Speaker 2: That's why you got to keep trusting. That's why you
[15:35] Speaker 2: got to keep swinging. Because you don't know the whole story.
[15:39] Speaker 2: That's why you can't kill your kids. It might grow
[15:43] Speaker 2: up and pay for your retirement or something like that.
[15:46] Speaker 2: Because you don't know the whole story. That's why you
[15:49] Speaker 2: can't judge anything too soon. And you're going to see
[15:51] Speaker 2: this in the scripture right here, is that in the
[15:55] Speaker 2: midst of great tension, a great truth was shown make
[16:00] Speaker 2: room for the new Verse one says, the apostles and
[16:05] Speaker 2: the believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles had also
[16:10] Speaker 2: received the Word of God. The gospel is spreading, it's spreading.
[16:16] Speaker 2: I guess you could say Grace is going viral. It's
[16:21] Speaker 2: just out of control. Can't stop it. It's just all
[16:24] Speaker 2: over the place. And they didn't like that because they
[16:27] Speaker 2: are in the tension of trying to protect the old,
[16:31] Speaker 2: and when you are protecting the old, what's new looks.
[16:37] Speaker 1: Like a threat. When I asked my dad one time,
[16:43] Speaker 1: are you threatening me?
[16:45] Speaker 2: He said something, I'm sure you've heard this before. He said,
[16:48] Speaker 2: it's not a threat. It's a promise. I was like, oh,
[16:54] Speaker 2: he was six two. I was like, got it, I'm good,
[16:57] Speaker 2: No further questions.
[17:00] Speaker 1: It's not a threat, it's a promise. He said that.
[17:04] Speaker 2: It's not a threat, it's a blessing. They were threatened
[17:10] Speaker 2: by the blessing because they did not recognize it and
[17:15] Speaker 2: it did not remind them of what they were used
[17:18] Speaker 2: to in their religious routine. Are you threatened by your
[17:24] Speaker 2: very own blessings?
[17:28] Speaker 1: Come on, Raleigh. They get used to it. I know
[17:30] Speaker 1: y'all love the Word of God and.
[17:32] Speaker 2: Raleigh and so they are being blessed. The church is growing.
[17:39] Speaker 2: That's exactly what they want. And sometimes God can be
[17:43] Speaker 2: giving you exactly what you want, but the tension that
[17:46] Speaker 2: it takes to produce the growth is super uncomfortable.
[17:51] Speaker 1: We don't like tension in our Christianity. Rapture me Jesus
[17:55] Speaker 1: and get me out of here.
[18:00] Speaker 2: In the meantime, you need to pay your taxes and
[18:03] Speaker 2: change your oil and do all this stuff. Just in
[18:05] Speaker 2: case he doesn't get you out of it. You need
[18:08] Speaker 2: to learn how to bring God into it. And so
[18:18] Speaker 2: as the message is going to the gentiles, they're not
[18:20] Speaker 2: the Jewish people.
[18:22] Speaker 1: They're the gentiles. That's all of us who do not
[18:24] Speaker 1: have a Jewish ancestry. We're like these people. And they
[18:29] Speaker 1: didn't want to let him in the church.
[18:31] Speaker 2: So next time you don't want to let somebody in
[18:33] Speaker 2: church because something about them offends you, just to remember
[18:38] Speaker 2: that by that standard, you wouldn't be here either. So
[18:47] Speaker 2: the circumcised believers criticized him. It is a criticism that
[18:52] Speaker 2: is birth out of ignorance. And they said, you went
[18:56] Speaker 2: into the house of uncircumcised men and ate with them
[18:59] Speaker 2: and start darting from the beginning. Peter told them the
[19:01] Speaker 2: whole story. He said, I was in the city of
[19:05] Speaker 2: Japa praying and in a trance I saw a vision.
[19:09] Speaker 2: I saw something like a large sheep being let down
[19:13] Speaker 2: from heaven by its four corners, and it came down.
[19:18] Speaker 1: To where I was. I saw something being.
[19:22] Speaker 2: Let down from heaven, and it came down to where
[19:26] Speaker 2: I was. When I read that, the Lord said to me,
[19:31] Speaker 2: I'm going to bring it to you when you are
[19:37] Speaker 2: positioning yourself according to the peace and the purpose of God,
[19:43] Speaker 2: and when you are present in the situation where He.
[19:45] Speaker 1: Has placed you.
[19:47] Speaker 2: God said, all the other things that people run after,
[19:51] Speaker 2: I'm going to bring it to you. If you want
[19:55] Speaker 2: in on this word, shout, God's going to bring it
[19:57] Speaker 2: to me. I'm gonna tell the person next to you,
[20:01] Speaker 2: I don't have to chase it, stress about it, cheat
[20:04] Speaker 2: to get it, violate my morality or my ethics. God's
[20:08] Speaker 2: gonna bring it to me. This is the Covenant of Grace.
[20:13] Speaker 2: Watch this. I tried to get to God, I couldn't.
[20:17] Speaker 2: So he ripped open Heaven step down to come inside
[20:21] Speaker 2: of me so that the righteous requirements of the law
[20:25] Speaker 2: might be fully met in us. No, I cannot achieve
[20:29] Speaker 2: his holiness. But God's gonna bring it to me. Heaven's
[20:32] Speaker 2: gonna come to my house, Heaven's gonna come to my mind.
[20:36] Speaker 2: Peace is gonna come to my marriage. God's gonna bring
[20:39] Speaker 2: it to me. I wanna shut the whole sermon down
[20:46] Speaker 2: for a minute and give God praise by faith that
[20:50] Speaker 2: he's gonna bring it to me. What's your need, He's
[20:54] Speaker 2: got it. God's gonna bring it to me. God's gonna
[20:58] Speaker 2: bring it to me. Praise him, Blessings come down. God's
[21:03] Speaker 2: gonna bring it to me. I don't have to begging.
[21:06] Speaker 2: COB's gonna bring it. Peter wasn't looking for a vision
[21:20] Speaker 2: for his life. God brought it to him. All he
[21:26] Speaker 2: did was go to Joppa. Can we talk about Joppa.
[21:29] Speaker 1: For a minute. Joppa? Everybody say Joppa.
[21:35] Speaker 2: I thought about calling this message the Opportunity of a lifetime,
[21:39] Speaker 2: but that was corny.
[21:43] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll scratched that one out real quick. You can
[21:45] Speaker 1: have it. That's not a good title for a message.
[21:51] Speaker 1: But it got me that he was in Joppa because
[21:53] Speaker 1: I was like, Joppa.
[21:57] Speaker 2: Joppa, Joppa, Joppa, Joppa, Joppa, Joppa, support city. I know
[22:03] Speaker 2: that they put the timber there. They take the timber,
[22:07] Speaker 2: and the timber came there when they built Solomon's temple.
[22:09] Speaker 2: I think I think they brought the timber from Lebanon
[22:12] Speaker 2: to Joppa because it's on the Mediterranean coast. They brought
[22:14] Speaker 2: timber there and then they sent it to build the temple. Oh,
[22:17] Speaker 2: maybe Japa is something where God takes the raw materials.
[22:24] Speaker 1: Joppa. No, that's not it.
[22:26] Speaker 2: Japa, Jappa, Joppa, Joppa. Why does it say over and
[22:30] Speaker 2: over again he was in Joppa. Go to Acts ten,
[22:32] Speaker 2: verse one. It says it a couple of times, because
[22:36] Speaker 2: remember Peter got in trouble. He didn't have to go
[22:39] Speaker 2: looking for trouble. Trouble came looking for him. Well, y'all
[22:45] Speaker 2: were shouting a minute ago, we just killed the vibe.
[22:51] Speaker 2: I think we killed the vibe. Peter wasn't looking for controversy,
[22:55] Speaker 2: wasn't looking for conflict, wasn't looking for problems.
[22:59] Speaker 1: He was in Joa.
[23:02] Speaker 2: Because there was a woman in the church at Joppa
[23:06] Speaker 2: who was very important to the believers there. And he
[23:09] Speaker 2: was in Lida raising people from the dead, you know,
[23:12] Speaker 2: just the stuff you do.
[23:16] Speaker 1: And when he was in the.
[23:19] Speaker 2: Middle of this crazy revival in Lida, which wasn't too
[23:24] Speaker 2: far from Joppa, this amazing e Kids volunteer died.
[23:29] Speaker 1: Her name was Dorcas, her Greek name was Dorcas.
[23:35] Speaker 2: Her name was also Tabitha, And they asked Peter if
[23:39] Speaker 2: he would come to comfort them. And he got there
[23:44] Speaker 2: and he saw how important she was to all of
[23:46] Speaker 2: them in Japa, and he started. He started looking at
[23:51] Speaker 2: all the clothes that she sewed for widows, and she
[23:54] Speaker 2: had a ministry to the poor. She cared about people
[23:58] Speaker 2: she served on the parking team, about people she worked
[24:02] Speaker 2: on production at Raleigh Durham. She was.
[24:11] Speaker 1: They hated to lose Dorcas. And Peter got kind of bored.
[24:17] Speaker 2: You know, he was a man of action, so he's like,
[24:19] Speaker 2: this is cool, like taking a tour of everything she did.
[24:22] Speaker 1: But y'all leave the room. Check out this scripture real quick.
[24:25] Speaker 1: I know, I said AX ten, but I want to
[24:26] Speaker 1: go back to AX nine real quick.
[24:27] Speaker 2: I want to give you the whole story because we
[24:31] Speaker 2: know what happened when he got to Joppa. How did
[24:32] Speaker 2: he get there? It's important. He went to Joppa to
[24:36] Speaker 2: visit Dorcas. Give me nine forty. Peter sent them all
[24:40] Speaker 2: out of the room. She's been washed and placed for
[24:44] Speaker 2: burial in the upper room, and as they're memorializing her,
[24:46] Speaker 2: he got down on his knees and prayed, and turning
[24:49] Speaker 2: toward the dead woman, he said, Tabitha, get up, Peter's like,
[24:56] Speaker 2: we can have a funeral or we could have a resurrection.
[25:02] Speaker 1: Peter was Peter was bold. He tried it like Jesus.
[25:08] Speaker 1: One time. Jesus did the same exact thing, but it
[25:11] Speaker 1: was with.
[25:11] Speaker 2: The little girl. This little girl was dead. And Jesus
[25:16] Speaker 2: sent everybody out of the room because he knew that
[25:20] Speaker 2: if they stayed in the room that their doubt might
[25:25] Speaker 2: make it impossible for faith to really do what faith
[25:29] Speaker 2: can do when it is unencumbered by doubt.
[25:33] Speaker 1: What's the title of this message, make room for the
[25:37] Speaker 1: new And when Jesus.
[25:39] Speaker 2: Sent them all out, he said something in Aramaic, Talitha
[25:43] Speaker 2: kom It means little girl, get up, Little girl, get
[25:46] Speaker 2: up now watch Peter, imitating his master. He sent them
[25:49] Speaker 2: all out of the room and turned toward the woman
[25:51] Speaker 2: and said, Tabitha, get up.
[25:54] Speaker 1: It's almost like Talita. It's just one letter different.
[25:59] Speaker 2: And he thought something, if he did it, if Jesus
[26:02] Speaker 2: did it, and if his spirit lives in me, I
[26:08] Speaker 2: came with a message for somebody, Make room for resurrection,
[26:12] Speaker 2: make room for things in your life that you were
[26:15] Speaker 2: just about ready to bury.
[26:18] Speaker 1: To Breathe again, Tabitha, get.
[26:23] Speaker 2: Up, and she did she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter,
[26:27] Speaker 2: she sat up. Well, I guess, so she sat up.
[26:31] Speaker 2: And he stayed in Japa a little while, and they
[26:35] Speaker 2: liked him. He was very popular in Joppa. Peter could
[26:39] Speaker 2: have run for mayor of Joppa because he demonstrated great
[26:44] Speaker 2: power in Joppa.
[26:47] Speaker 1: Joppa, Joppa.
[26:50] Speaker 2: It's a place where, it's a place where you don't
[26:53] Speaker 2: expect anything great to happen, but something does Joppa.
[26:57] Speaker 1: Joppa is like your job Jaba Joppa.
[27:05] Speaker 2: He was just doing his job, just going to see
[27:07] Speaker 2: it in a miracle happened. He was just going to
[27:09] Speaker 2: see it in a miracle happened. He was just going
[27:11] Speaker 2: to see it and going to comfort them and going
[27:13] Speaker 2: to do what he did in a miracle happened, Joppa, Joppa.
[27:17] Speaker 2: Place where God puts stuff together, Joppa. While he was
[27:21] Speaker 2: in Joppa, Joppa, it's kind of familiar. Who else went
[27:29] Speaker 2: to Joppa?
[27:29] Speaker 1: In the Bible?
[27:32] Speaker 3: I was trying to remember. I was talking to the
[27:35] Speaker 3: interns this week, and I put him on the spot.
[27:38] Speaker 3: We had such a good time then with I said,
[27:40] Speaker 3: who else went to Joppa? They went through every character
[27:43] Speaker 3: in the Bible, guessing zach Kiyas Bartimaeus Luke Matthew John.
[27:51] Speaker 3: I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no no,
[27:53] Speaker 3: it's somebody in the Bible. I'm gonna give you a hand.
[27:58] Speaker 3: It involves a fish rhymes with corona. Jonah went to Joppa.
[28:15] Speaker 3: But watch what he did in Japa?
[28:17] Speaker 1: You ready? Jonah won? Three says.
[28:20] Speaker 2: Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed to Tarshish.
[28:25] Speaker 2: He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship
[28:29] Speaker 2: bound for that port.
[28:31] Speaker 1: God called him to Ninevah, but he resisted it.
[28:35] Speaker 2: He resisted going to Ninevah because those were not the
[28:39] Speaker 2: people he expected God to bless. He resisted what he
[28:43] Speaker 2: did not understand. He resisted what he could not conceptualize.
[28:48] Speaker 2: He resisted what he had no frame of reference for.
[28:52] Speaker 2: He went down to Joppa and boarded a ship heading
[28:56] Speaker 2: away from the Lord. So now I've got a contrast,
[28:59] Speaker 2: and I want to ask ask what will you do
[29:01] Speaker 2: in Joppa? Will you be like Peter who when he
[29:05] Speaker 2: got to Joppa and God send him an opportunity to say, Peter,
[29:10] Speaker 2: I want you to make room for something new.
[29:13] Speaker 1: I want you to believe that I can break a
[29:15] Speaker 1: barrier in your life.
[29:17] Speaker 2: I want you to believe that I'm about to do
[29:19] Speaker 2: something that your mind has not conceived. Will you be
[29:24] Speaker 2: like Peter who went with it? Or are you going
[29:28] Speaker 2: to be like Jonah who ran from it? Peter went
[29:35] Speaker 2: to Joppa. While he was in Japa praying, he saw
[29:40] Speaker 2: something amazing that he didn't expect. And he looked and
[29:43] Speaker 2: he saw a sheep from the four corners four corners
[29:48] Speaker 2: representing the four corners of the earth. God's like, I'm
[29:50] Speaker 2: about to break all of your barriers. I'm about to
[29:53] Speaker 2: break through your unbelief. See, we talk about making room
[29:56] Speaker 2: for the new. You want to go have a yard
[29:57] Speaker 2: sale or something like that, or put everything on It's
[30:01] Speaker 2: not about closet space. It's not about it's not about
[30:07] Speaker 2: clearing out your closet. It's about the transformation.
[30:12] Speaker 1: Of your mind. Do you have room for the new
[30:21] Speaker 1: in your mind? Because they didn't.
[30:23] Speaker 2: Peter didn't when God showed Peter what he was about
[30:27] Speaker 2: to do, Like, this is the way it always is.
[30:29] Speaker 2: When God shows us something, we compare it to our
[30:32] Speaker 2: previous point of reference and then we start consulting our
[30:36] Speaker 2: resources and God wants to bring us new relationships. But
[30:40] Speaker 2: watch this, if you're not ready for new people in
[30:43] Speaker 2: your life, you will bring the same patterns to the
[30:48] Speaker 2: new relationships that you brought to the old relationships, and
[30:53] Speaker 2: we literally keep people out of our lives that God
[30:55] Speaker 2: wants to send because we are holding on to the
[30:58] Speaker 2: hurts from the one who have already left. I feel
[31:07] Speaker 2: the spirit of God breaking barriers as I preach right now,
[31:12] Speaker 2: because you're like, what is this message you have to
[31:13] Speaker 2: do to me? I'm not getting on an airplane and
[31:15] Speaker 2: going to preach to somebody in cessarea like Peter did.
[31:18] Speaker 1: You don't have to.
[31:19] Speaker 2: All you have to do is dare to believe that
[31:23] Speaker 2: God is making room for the new in your life
[31:26] Speaker 2: right now. And even sometimes when it was painful for
[31:32] Speaker 2: me and I thought I was losing things in my life,
[31:36] Speaker 2: I wasn't losing it.
[31:39] Speaker 1: God was moving it. Who is this for?
[31:45] Speaker 2: I just need to know, probably about twenty people, you
[31:48] Speaker 2: didn't lose it.
[31:50] Speaker 1: God moved it.
[31:53] Speaker 2: He said, you will still be eating last year's harvest.
[31:57] Speaker 1: When you have to move it out. Somebody shall move
[32:01] Speaker 1: it out. God.
[32:03] Speaker 2: Anything that is in the way of me being who
[32:06] Speaker 2: I need to be in this season, get it out
[32:09] Speaker 2: of my heart, get it out of my mind, get
[32:12] Speaker 2: it out.
[32:12] Speaker 1: Of my habits. You can have it, God, I don't
[32:15] Speaker 1: want it.
[32:15] Speaker 2: I want what you've got, So you can't receive new
[32:23] Speaker 2: miracles with old mindsets.
[32:31] Speaker 1: Make room for the new.
[32:32] Speaker 2: It looks like this, emptying yourself, humbling yourself and asking God,
[32:39] Speaker 2: what do you.
[32:39] Speaker 1: Want to do in my job of Or you can
[32:45] Speaker 1: run from it and resist it, and you can keep
[32:49] Speaker 1: remembering when the kids were so cute. They are forty
[32:54] Speaker 1: three now they stop being cute. Quite a while ago.
[33:02] Speaker 2: And the church was trying to figure out how do
[33:04] Speaker 2: we protect what we loved while we embrace.
[33:09] Speaker 1: What is new? And I don't know.
[33:12] Speaker 2: I think there are at least three lessons in this text.
[33:15] Speaker 2: Y'all got a minute, make room for the new. Number one,
[33:18] Speaker 2: God says this, don't limit yourself by labels. The first
[33:30] Speaker 2: thing God told Peter, he said, you've got your nice
[33:33] Speaker 2: little neat categories, because when the sheet came down, Peter
[33:36] Speaker 2: saw all kinds of animals, and y'all need to know.
[33:39] Speaker 2: In this culture, they respected visions. This was not like
[33:43] Speaker 2: Peter's hallucination or you know how some people now are
[33:46] Speaker 2: so weird and they're like, well, the Lord showed me
[33:48] Speaker 2: a vision of us walking on the beach. It's like, bro,
[33:50] Speaker 2: you need to ask her out and stop trying to
[33:52] Speaker 2: embed it in this weird spirituality.
[33:58] Speaker 1: So Peter actually saw.
[34:00] Speaker 2: But remember there's sometimes a tension between what you thought
[34:03] Speaker 2: God showed you. It's at tension, and that tension is
[34:07] Speaker 2: a real gift because that's where growth happens, where it's
[34:10] Speaker 2: like God. I thought. I thought I was going to
[34:13] Speaker 2: be married to her the rest of my life, but
[34:15] Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not married now, and that's painful. But
[34:20] Speaker 2: what you do with it becomes your japa, which determines
[34:23] Speaker 2: do you run from God's purpose for your future or
[34:27] Speaker 2: do you run toward it. That's jappa. And the word
[34:31] Speaker 2: God gave me was don't limit it with the label,
[34:35] Speaker 2: because the first thing he told Peter, he said. Peter said,
[34:38] Speaker 2: in verse six, acts eleven, I looked into it and
[34:41] Speaker 2: saw four footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles,
[34:43] Speaker 2: and birds. And then after he saw the pigs in
[34:46] Speaker 2: a blanket, he said, I try to keep y'all awake.
[34:50] Speaker 1: Then I heard a voice telling me get up, Peter,
[34:53] Speaker 1: kill and eat.
[34:53] Speaker 2: Now.
[34:53] Speaker 1: When I read that, I said, God was trying to
[34:56] Speaker 1: get Peter to go hunting. No, wasn't. It wasn't about
[34:59] Speaker 1: the animals.
[35:00] Speaker 2: He was about to send Cornelius, whom Peter saw as
[35:03] Speaker 2: an unclean gentile.
[35:05] Speaker 1: So he was using this. It wasn't about bacon. It
[35:09] Speaker 1: was about barriers, mental barriers.
[35:13] Speaker 2: So when he said, get up, Peter, kill an e,
[35:15] Speaker 2: it wasn't that God wanted Peter to kill a pig.
[35:19] Speaker 1: It was that he was trying to kill Peter's categories.
[35:24] Speaker 1: In this season of.
[35:25] Speaker 2: Your life, God is trying to kill your categories. He's
[35:30] Speaker 2: going to use people you did not even like to
[35:35] Speaker 2: grow you up and mature you. There was one person
[35:39] Speaker 2: the other day that shared a Bible verse with one
[35:41] Speaker 2: of my kids, and they left our church years ago.
[35:44] Speaker 1: They didn't even like me when they left.
[35:47] Speaker 2: But when they gave a Bible verse to my kids,
[35:49] Speaker 2: I said, God, I don't care who hands them the scriptures.
[35:52] Speaker 2: I'll take a cold cup of water in the pit
[35:54] Speaker 2: of hell from anybody. I don't care who hands it
[35:56] Speaker 2: to them. Use who you want to use, God, do
[35:59] Speaker 2: what you want to do, kill my categories. As a
[36:02] Speaker 2: matter of fact, when we say all things work together
[36:04] Speaker 2: for the good, what we mean when we quote Romans eight.
[36:07] Speaker 1: Twenty eight out of context?
[36:09] Speaker 2: Because Romans eight twenty eight is connected and conjoined incidentally
[36:12] Speaker 2: to Romans eight twenty nine, which says, according to his purpose.
[36:16] Speaker 2: So what it means by good is this going to
[36:18] Speaker 2: fulfill his purpose? Not my preference. Y'all can shout right now.
[36:24] Speaker 2: What it means is I can't categorize. That's God's job.
[36:29] Speaker 2: It is God's job to know what's best for me.
[36:32] Speaker 2: It is God's job to know what needs to happen.
[36:34] Speaker 2: It is God's job to know what experiences I need
[36:38] Speaker 2: to get. So God says, stop limiting it by labels.
[36:44] Speaker 2: Labels labels can apply to a group of people. He said,
[36:49] Speaker 2: look what the Lord said when he said, arise, Peter,
[36:52] Speaker 2: kill and eat. Peter says, surely not, Lord, nothing impure
[36:55] Speaker 2: or unclean has ever entered my mouth.
[36:57] Speaker 1: Now watch what God said in verse nine. Those are
[36:59] Speaker 1: your category, is not mine.
[37:03] Speaker 2: The voice spoke from heaven a second time, saying, do
[37:06] Speaker 2: not call anything impure that God has made clean. Stop
[37:10] Speaker 2: limiting God with your labels. Most people that live in
[37:21] Speaker 2: Charlotte weren't born in Charlotte. So you come here and
[37:24] Speaker 2: it's like, I don't really like Southerners. Well, you're stuck
[37:29] Speaker 2: with us for this season, So do not overgeneralize the
[37:33] Speaker 2: people that you have to live with. Now, the same
[37:36] Speaker 2: thing can be said of any group of people, northern
[37:39] Speaker 2: or southern, or anything.
[37:40] Speaker 1: We want to mention.
[37:41] Speaker 2: This is the problem. We are all so prejudiced. We
[37:44] Speaker 2: stopped realizing it a long time ago. You're like, I'm
[37:46] Speaker 2: not prejudiced. I'm not prejudiced. Prejudge. You do it all
[37:49] Speaker 2: the time. I do it all the time. We think
[37:54] Speaker 2: we know what is and what isn't going to be
[37:55] Speaker 2: good all the time. We even think we know who
[37:59] Speaker 2: is holy and who is not holy by what they wear.
[38:03] Speaker 2: You know, even with people, we think we know who
[38:06] Speaker 2: is important and who is not. You have no idea.
[38:10] Speaker 2: You have no idea. And then we size up opportunities
[38:13] Speaker 2: by how public they are to see how significant they are.
[38:17] Speaker 2: But Peter was in Joppa doing something that was off
[38:20] Speaker 2: the radar when God led him to Cornelius's house to
[38:24] Speaker 2: take the Gospel to the gentiles, and I just wanted
[38:28] Speaker 2: to say, don't limit your life by labels.
[38:31] Speaker 1: Don't limit what God can do through you through labels.
[38:35] Speaker 2: Somebody say you single, say, well, first of all, I'm saved, sanctified,
[38:42] Speaker 2: and then i'm single.
[38:44] Speaker 1: But don't put that as my first label. There's a
[38:46] Speaker 1: whole lot more to me than what's going on on
[38:49] Speaker 1: one finger on my left hand, So please do not
[38:52] Speaker 1: limit me. Preach. Pastor Stephen Ferne, I am one guy
[39:04] Speaker 1: said to me.
[39:04] Speaker 2: He was, like, your preaching has gotten more Pentecostal these days.
[39:09] Speaker 1: All he meant was I yell more.
[39:12] Speaker 2: And the only reason I yell more now than I
[39:14] Speaker 2: used to is because when the church was small, I
[39:17] Speaker 2: needed people and I was didn't want to scare them off.
[39:21] Speaker 1: Now we got enough. If we scare a few off,
[39:24] Speaker 1: a few more will come and I can holler like
[39:26] Speaker 1: I want to. I can great. It'suck. I feel it, not.
[39:30] Speaker 2: Theological stylistic, So don't be limited by labels. I'm white,
[39:42] Speaker 2: but I'm not only white. I'm black, but I'm not
[39:46] Speaker 2: only black. Please do not prejudge me based on something
[39:51] Speaker 2: I had no control over. I want you to get
[39:54] Speaker 2: to know my character. I want you to get to
[39:57] Speaker 2: see the God in me, rather than labeling me. So
[40:03] Speaker 2: don't judge me by mine. Ask little nas X ask
[40:08] Speaker 2: him about labels. Is it country?
[40:10] Speaker 1: Is it wrap? I'll tell you what it is.
[40:13] Speaker 2: It's a billion streams, it's a Grammy, and it's multimillion dollars.
[40:17] Speaker 1: You could take me, write out this box and drive
[40:19] Speaker 1: me to the bank.
[40:20] Speaker 2: And God wants to do something bigger. But you will
[40:23] Speaker 2: limit yourself with the label, and you limit others the label.
[40:27] Speaker 2: Who you can and can't receive from, who God can
[40:29] Speaker 2: and can't use in your life, What God can and
[40:31] Speaker 2: can't use in your life.
[40:32] Speaker 1: Oh well, they're insulting me, are they? Or is God
[40:36] Speaker 1: using them to instruct you?
[40:39] Speaker 2: I don't like it, doesn't feel good, So don't limit
[40:44] Speaker 2: yourself with labels. And number two, don't be loyal to
[40:51] Speaker 2: a lie. I don't have time to show you. But
[40:58] Speaker 2: the passage and acts in with Peter and the counsel
[41:05] Speaker 2: there the deacon board that called him in as a
[41:10] Speaker 2: Baptist flashback I was having right there when they called
[41:16] Speaker 2: him in. By the end of it, I said this
[41:19] Speaker 2: on Sunday. I didn't say it on Saturday last week.
[41:22] Speaker 2: It said that it started with protest and ended in praise.
[41:26] Speaker 2: When they brought him in. They were protesting, like we
[41:28] Speaker 2: always do when God is doing something new in our lives.
[41:30] Speaker 1: God, I don't like it. I don't like it. I
[41:32] Speaker 1: don't like it.
[41:33] Speaker 2: Now everybody that hears new will hear something different. When
[41:36] Speaker 2: I preach, people will quit their jobs over this marriage.
[41:40] Speaker 2: People are over this message. People will put their marriage
[41:43] Speaker 2: over this message. Some will quit their job and their
[41:46] Speaker 2: marriage over this message. And they're missing the point. Because
[41:51] Speaker 2: what I mean is make room for the new in you,
[41:56] Speaker 2: so you don't have to find out after you moved
[41:58] Speaker 2: a five different running from yourself.
[42:03] Speaker 1: That sometimes the environment is not the issue.
[42:10] Speaker 2: And what we will do a lot of times is
[42:12] Speaker 2: we will hold on so tightly to a lie because
[42:15] Speaker 2: it's familiar that we will miss what God is bringing
[42:19] Speaker 2: to us by faith because we don't like how it feels.
[42:24] Speaker 2: Don't be loyal to a lie. And my third one
[42:29] Speaker 2: is don't be late. Don't be late. One thing the
[42:37] Speaker 2: Spirit told Peter that I wanted to say to you
[42:41] Speaker 2: through the power of the Holy Spirit today. Yeah, you
[42:44] Speaker 2: got it. They're so good in the back they anticipated
[42:46] Speaker 2: my verse I love them Acts eleven twelve says that
[42:50] Speaker 2: the Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going
[42:53] Speaker 2: with them. Don't be late, because if you hold on
[42:59] Speaker 2: to what's old, the way you thought and what you
[43:02] Speaker 2: wanted and how it was, you might miss today's miracle.
[43:09] Speaker 2: Trying to hold onto yesterday's blessing. What am I holding
[43:15] Speaker 2: that's old? It's keeping me from receiving what's new, what's now,
[43:20] Speaker 2: what's your I don't mean that we don't value tradition
[43:23] Speaker 2: and experience and continuity.
[43:25] Speaker 1: That's not my message.
[43:28] Speaker 2: But the scripture said in Leviticus twenty six' ten you
[43:31] Speaker 2: will still be eating last year's, harvest that's the, old
[43:36] Speaker 2: when you will have to move it out to make
[43:39] Speaker 2: room for the. New it's not that the old was,
[43:42] Speaker 2: Bad it's just that the new is, here a new,
[43:49] Speaker 2: covenant a new, day a new. Season some of you
[43:53] Speaker 2: are really destabilized right.
[43:56] Speaker 1: Now in, life.
[43:58] Speaker 2: We all go through these season of instability that really
[44:01] Speaker 2: tests our. Faith And god gives us this tension in
[44:04] Speaker 2: these moments to see what will we do In? Joppa
[44:08] Speaker 2: run From god or run Toward? God and if that's
[44:14] Speaker 2: where you are today In, JOPPA i mean in a psychological, sense,
[44:18] Speaker 2: obviously not a geographical sense or a spiritual, sense an emotional,
[44:22] Speaker 2: sense trying to figure, Out, god what are you doing
[44:25] Speaker 2: in my? Life i've never seen this, Before i've never
[44:27] Speaker 2: felt this. Before i've never been in my forties. BEFORE
[44:34] Speaker 2: i wonder what you will do In Joppa the thing
[44:39] Speaker 2: About god's blessing is it rarely checks your schedule to
[44:42] Speaker 2: see if this would be a convenient. Time in, Fact leviticus,
[44:48] Speaker 2: said as they were giving all the instructions for worship
[44:51] Speaker 2: and the covenant to set up the, community and how
[44:54] Speaker 2: to deal with diseases and, poverty and how to deal with,
[44:57] Speaker 2: indebtedness and how to be a, people and as they
[44:59] Speaker 2: were a and acclimating to be out Of egyptian slavery
[45:02] Speaker 2: and coming into a new, place Before god made them the,
[45:06] Speaker 2: promise he, said you need to know that you're still
[45:07] Speaker 2: going to be eating.
[45:08] Speaker 1: Last year's harvest when you have to move it out
[45:12] Speaker 1: to make room for the. New this is how it.
[45:14] Speaker 2: Works you're not even used to it, yet and here
[45:19] Speaker 2: comes something, new and you have to learn to multitask your.
[45:24] Speaker 2: Miracles you have to learn to multitask your. Miracles you
[45:31] Speaker 2: have to learn to move between things and to Trust
[45:33] Speaker 2: god and keep, giving keep, going keep, trusting and keep
[45:39] Speaker 2: believing by, faith or else you're going to find yourself
[45:44] Speaker 2: missing today's opportunity because you are too attached to yesterday's.
[45:49] Speaker 2: BLESSING i wonder what new Mindset god is creating in
[45:55] Speaker 2: me in this.
[45:56] Speaker 1: SEASON i want to. KNOW i wonder what barriers he's
[45:59] Speaker 1: going to break through your. LIFE i want to.
[46:01] Speaker 2: Know he, said you will still be eating last year's
[46:04] Speaker 2: harvest when you will have to move it out to
[46:08] Speaker 2: make room for the. New that's what repentance. Is it's
[46:14] Speaker 2: a change of. Mind it makes room for the, new
[46:19] Speaker 2: new way of. Thinking you're doing it the old. Way
[46:23] Speaker 2: you keep, manipulating keep, forcing keep getting. Angry that's the old.
[46:26] Speaker 2: Way that's not how you do it. Anymore if anyone
[46:29] Speaker 2: is In, christ he is a new. Creation the old has,
[46:32] Speaker 2: gone the new has. Come there's a new.
[46:35] Speaker 1: Way to do, this a new way to, live a
[46:40] Speaker 1: new way to, love a new.
[46:41] Speaker 2: Way to, serve a way that seems upside down but
[46:44] Speaker 2: is actually right side. Up And god, said if you
[46:47] Speaker 2: will make room for the, new you will still be eating.
[46:50] Speaker 1: Last year's harvest when you will have to move it.
[46:53] Speaker 2: Out, FATHER i thank you for your word, today the
[46:58] Speaker 2: power of, it the precision of.
