[0:33] Speaker 3: Give me a call with your range reports. Call me
[0:35] Speaker 3: at Tom Talk Gun. He's just way to get in
[0:37] Speaker 3: there now. One of my good friends been in for
[0:39] Speaker 3: a long time in the gun world and also in
[0:42] Speaker 3: the aviation world, and he's just returned from an amazing
[0:45] Speaker 3: trip flying all over Alaska. I mean, is PA twelve
[0:50] Speaker 3: Piper super Cruiser. Doug Tarnbull joins us. Doug. When was
[0:54] Speaker 3: that airplane made?
[0:54] Speaker 4: Originally October sixteenth of forty six, Oh, you have the
[1:00] Speaker 4: old one.
[1:01] Speaker 3: I had a forty seven. And for those who don't
[1:04] Speaker 3: know the story, you helped me find a PA twelve
[1:07] Speaker 3: Supercruiser and then helped me usher me back as I
[1:10] Speaker 3: was flying it for six days from Maine to Idaho
[1:13] Speaker 3: with you kind of checking the weather and texted me
[1:15] Speaker 3: and saying go here, go there, don't go there.
[1:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, I've done so many trips across the country that
[1:23] Speaker 4: I got a you know, a checklist of places to
[1:26] Speaker 4: go and stay and who to see and yeah, it's great.
[1:30] Speaker 3: It was terrific. Obviously, people know you from Turnbull Restorations,
[1:34] Speaker 3: where you helped really kind of reset the thinking on
[1:40] Speaker 3: what you do with an old gun. You want to
[1:43] Speaker 3: kind of explain that.
[1:44] Speaker 4: Yeah, I grew up in a gun shop. I'm in
[1:47] Speaker 4: dead Head Creekside gun shop. I enjoyed the hands on
[1:51] Speaker 4: aspect of gun fixing, refinishing, and my father, you know,
[1:58] Speaker 4: got into messing around with Bill bunch O color case
[2:00] Speaker 4: hardening process and I took that process and expanded it,
[2:05] Speaker 4: learned about it, figured out how to duplicate different gun manufacturers,
[2:10] Speaker 4: whether it's Parker and early Fox which is different than Winchester,
[2:15] Speaker 4: and i'l C Smith and that and are in that
[2:17] Speaker 4: company along with my employees who really put their heart
[2:21] Speaker 4: into things for close to forty years.
[2:25] Speaker 3: You could bind art with science and all the stuff
[2:28] Speaker 3: you were doing.
[2:29] Speaker 4: Yes, I did, And you know, I look at upgraded
[2:33] Speaker 4: guns and custom guns differently than a lot of people.
[2:38] Speaker 4: I look at it as how can we reproduce what
[2:41] Speaker 4: the factories made back in the day. So we're doing
[2:46] Speaker 4: the old original historical metal finishes, the bone, charcoal, the
[2:50] Speaker 4: carbona charcoal.
[2:51] Speaker 5: Blue, rough blue.
[2:53] Speaker 4: We've did restocking, did all all that stuff to make them.
[2:56] Speaker 4: And then if we were upgrading with engraving, I always pushed,
[3:00] Speaker 4: let's make it look like an original gun, not necessarily
[3:04] Speaker 4: a custom, so you would kind of mixed the two together.
[3:07] Speaker 4: But engraving, to me, it was all the old the
[3:11] Speaker 4: old style, whether it's Colt or you know, the American
[3:14] Speaker 4: shotguns for different styles, and it had to me it
[3:18] Speaker 4: had to have the proper look. It's strange, that is,
[3:21] Speaker 4: That's that's what I always pushed for sure, and that's
[3:25] Speaker 4: you know, there's some incredible, absolutely incredible custom stuff. But
[3:29] Speaker 4: my eye was always original, what's it?
[3:32] Speaker 5: What was it? What does it look like originally?
[3:34] Speaker 6: You know, you.
[3:35] Speaker 3: Clearly have an old soul. You love the lever actions,
[3:39] Speaker 3: the single actions, you fly around a nineteen forty six airplane. Yeah,
[3:45] Speaker 3: what I say, some people are just born in the
[3:47] Speaker 3: wrong century.
[3:49] Speaker 4: Yeah, sometimes I wonder, you know why I got into
[3:52] Speaker 4: the gun side, and that the airplane side. My father
[3:55] Speaker 4: had a one eighty five in fid in behind the
[3:58] Speaker 4: house and we used to go to Alaska fishing.
[4:00] Speaker 3: Well you do, both guys in there we are sounds
[4:03] Speaker 3: a little bit similar to me.
[4:05] Speaker 7: Man.
[4:05] Speaker 3: I was just out flying now yesterday, went up to
[4:08] Speaker 3: Dixie Town blew Inn. Had a good time flying around Ido.
[4:11] Speaker 3: All right, So but we've got to talk about something else.
[4:14] Speaker 3: You have not just an appreciation for, but a love
[4:17] Speaker 3: of the art of gunsmithing.
[4:21] Speaker 8: It is a it's a real thing for you. It
[4:23] Speaker 8: touches you, yes, it does. It's in restoration work. It's
[4:29] Speaker 8: it's not just putting a pretty finish on. It's when
[4:33] Speaker 8: was the gun made? What was the polish supposed to
[4:36] Speaker 8: look like in the that era?
[4:39] Speaker 5: You know.
[4:39] Speaker 4: And if it's a pre thirteen Winchester Coult, it typically
[4:43] Speaker 4: has a high polish. And it's it's not always a never,
[4:47] Speaker 4: but it's you know, it's generally always has a high polish.
[4:51] Speaker 4: And it's because it's a pre war gun. After the
[4:54] Speaker 4: war started, how do you cut back on dollars? Ententially,
[4:57] Speaker 4: you cut off the pulishing because the guys out using
[5:00] Speaker 4: them don't really care, right, So I tied all that
[5:03] Speaker 4: into what we do. And you know, it's it's got
[5:07] Speaker 4: to have the right look. It's all about the look.
[5:10] Speaker 4: It's and as a friend of mine says, when you
[5:12] Speaker 4: walk up to a restore gun or a or an
[5:16] Speaker 4: original gun that you know a very very high condition,
[5:19] Speaker 4: he says, where's the fly? And you're looking for the
[5:23] Speaker 4: fly on it? You're looking for something that stands out.
[5:25] Speaker 5: It's not right, it's not right.
[5:29] Speaker 4: And then from once you find it, if you find it,
[5:32] Speaker 4: if you happen to, then you start looking, well why
[5:36] Speaker 4: and you start digging deeper into especially the collectible side,
[5:40] Speaker 4: and it's that's a lot of what we did was okay,
[5:43] Speaker 4: let's try to make it so there's no flies on it.
[5:45] Speaker 3: Well. And the guns that you made, and you know,
[5:48] Speaker 3: yes you worked on them, but in essence, you really
[5:51] Speaker 3: made them. People now talk about it in almost whereverent terms.
[5:55] Speaker 3: You say, oh, it's a turnbull. We're talking with Doug
[5:58] Speaker 3: Turnbull right now. I mean, and you you ran that
[6:01] Speaker 3: to a certain point and then you sold the company. Okay,
[6:04] Speaker 3: so what's the latest thing you've done.
[6:07] Speaker 4: So I've been out of it for four years, and
[6:09] Speaker 4: I'm you know, I've gone to schools and I've talked
[6:12] Speaker 4: to gun smithing schools and students and I've done my part.
[6:18] Speaker 4: I've I've caught my notch out. Well, what can I
[6:21] Speaker 4: do to help the industry? I mean, the industry got
[6:24] Speaker 4: me to where I am. The industry has been very,
[6:28] Speaker 4: very gracious to us and really blessed with it. And
[6:31] Speaker 4: it's like, Okay, do I go to schools and talk
[6:34] Speaker 4: and teach? Do I you know? Do I teach different aspects?
[6:39] Speaker 4: And I came up with this idea of doing a
[6:41] Speaker 4: Doug Turnbull Firearms Restoration Grant and try to get people,
[6:45] Speaker 4: try to get the students to look at gunsmithing in
[6:48] Speaker 4: a different field. There's gunsmithing and there's repairing, and then
[6:52] Speaker 4: there's building custom guns and refinishing stuff. Well, what if
[6:56] Speaker 4: we try to get them to think about restoration and how.
[7:01] Speaker 5: Is that something of an interest?
[7:02] Speaker 4: So what we're doing is working with Pennsylvania Gunspensing School.
[7:06] Speaker 4: I'm funding the grant personally. It has nothing to do
[7:09] Speaker 4: with thermal restoration because I've been gone for four years.
[7:13] Speaker 3: So you run your own money into this thing.
[7:15] Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's my it's my money.
[7:17] Speaker 4: It's it's my money, my word, my you know, my
[7:20] Speaker 4: idea to how can we give back? And what we're
[7:23] Speaker 4: going to do is work with the Pennsylvania Gunspan thing
[7:26] Speaker 4: and they're going to work it looking at and they're
[7:29] Speaker 4: going to grab their core of their group that's going
[7:32] Speaker 4: to do this restoration project, and they're going to figure
[7:34] Speaker 4: out what type of gun do we want to restore?
[7:37] Speaker 4: Is it a shotgun? Is it? Is it American shotgun?
[7:41] Speaker 4: Is what I'm kind of looking at. Is it a
[7:43] Speaker 4: Winchester or a cold or a Marown or some offshoot?
[7:48] Speaker 4: And then and then they've got to learn about it. Okay,
[7:50] Speaker 4: you know when was it manufacturer? Look at it? How
[7:53] Speaker 4: is it polished? To what degree was it polished? What
[7:55] Speaker 4: year is it?
[7:57] Speaker 3: Okay? But what does your grant do? Is it like scholarship.
[8:01] Speaker 4: I'm funding the work for the school to put it together,
[8:06] Speaker 4: to learn all about restoration, restore this piece, and the
[8:10] Speaker 4: peace will end up being part of the school and
[8:13] Speaker 4: the students will put their heart and soul into what
[8:16] Speaker 4: I'm hoping to learn. How to restore a firearm back
[8:20] Speaker 4: to what it was originally?
[8:23] Speaker 3: Why do I get the feeling that as cool as
[8:27] Speaker 3: this is what you're doing, it feels like the start
[8:30] Speaker 3: of something. Not it's not the thing, it's the start
[8:33] Speaker 3: of the thing.
[8:34] Speaker 5: It's the start of the thing.
[8:35] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's trying to change ideas, trying it's trying
[8:40] Speaker 4: to get the students and the staff, because the staff
[8:42] Speaker 4: is into it as much as the students.
[8:45] Speaker 5: Sure to think, what do we got to do to.
[8:50] Speaker 4: To put all this together, to bring it to fruition,
[8:54] Speaker 4: to you know, make it truly work.
[8:56] Speaker 3: And once you get that going, you get people thinking
[8:59] Speaker 3: about it, and not just there, but in other gunsmithy
[9:03] Speaker 3: schools and other gunsmith's around the country.
[9:05] Speaker 4: You're thinking, and that's exactly what I'm hoping for. And
[9:09] Speaker 4: I'm hoping by year two or three. You know, it
[9:13] Speaker 4: may be you know, three or four different guns schools
[9:17] Speaker 4: in one year maybe taking on this project and now
[9:20] Speaker 4: it's going to be you know, it may be three
[9:22] Speaker 4: different three different style of guns, or it's you know,
[9:24] Speaker 4: maybe it's the same brand of a rifle or.
[9:28] Speaker 3: Whatever, taking cool guns and then making them beautiful again.
[9:32] Speaker 4: Bring it back to the factory standards.
[9:35] Speaker 5: Wow.
[9:36] Speaker 4: And it may become a competition between them. But I've
[9:42] Speaker 4: got to start somewhere of getting the ball going and
[9:45] Speaker 4: getting some excitement in and around it.
[9:49] Speaker 3: It sounds to me like you saw the company got
[9:53] Speaker 3: in your airplane, flew around the country, flew up to Alaska,
[9:56] Speaker 3: flew all over the place. You had a lot of
[9:59] Speaker 3: time to process, a lot of thoughts, and that little
[10:03] Speaker 3: single engine plane you're putt putting around, you going to
[10:05] Speaker 3: these interesting places who are in the middle of nowhere,
[10:08] Speaker 3: and you can work it on this idea for a while.
[10:10] Speaker 5: Yeah, I have.
[10:12] Speaker 4: I mean, I just got back from thirty two days
[10:14] Speaker 4: on the road and flew one hundred and thirty four
[10:18] Speaker 4: hours at ninety to ninety five miles an hour.
[10:23] Speaker 3: People that they were kid when we say yeah, sometimes
[10:26] Speaker 3: if you got a head wind, the eight wheelers are
[10:28] Speaker 3: passing you, but.
[10:28] Speaker 5: They are, they do.
[10:30] Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, and you know, and sometimes you're going to
[10:35] Speaker 4: find that, you know, you've got to be five hundred
[10:37] Speaker 4: feet or maybe a little lower because you're going across
[10:40] Speaker 4: the prairie and that's the only place you've got no wind.
[10:42] Speaker 5: Or maybe maybe you're lucky you got to tail one
[10:45] Speaker 5: at two miles an hour.
[10:46] Speaker 3: Two miles an hour, right exactly. But it does give
[10:48] Speaker 3: a lot of time to think to come up with ideas.
[10:51] Speaker 5: It does.
[10:52] Speaker 4: Yeah, there's there's so many different ways to look at things.
[10:57] Speaker 4: And just like they tell the students, you know, there's
[11:00] Speaker 4: there's money in so many different areas in the industry
[11:06] Speaker 4: because you know, maybe you're a machinist, so okay, we'll
[11:11] Speaker 4: build parts for for something. Maybe you like wooden. You're
[11:15] Speaker 4: a checker. You're just a stock maker and not just
[11:18] Speaker 4: but you know your your love is is doing stocking. Well,
[11:22] Speaker 4: learn about it, become the best. Take a three hour
[11:25] Speaker 4: job and turn it into a two hour or one
[11:27] Speaker 4: hour job.
[11:29] Speaker 3: Can people make a living as gunsmiths now?
[11:31] Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah they can, I think more.
[11:35] Speaker 4: Becoming specialized a general gunsmith is tough because you've got.
[11:40] Speaker 5: To be a jack of all trades.
[11:42] Speaker 4: Right, if you work it, it really understanding a specific
[11:47] Speaker 4: thing or you know, like us, we worked on winchesters,
[11:53] Speaker 4: We worked on American double Winchester lever guns, right, we
[11:56] Speaker 4: worked on American side by sides, some cults, single actions,
[12:00] Speaker 4: and then nineteen elevens and.
[12:03] Speaker 3: By limiting the scope you were able to get really
[12:06] Speaker 3: good at what you did exactly.
[12:09] Speaker 4: You know, you're doing the bone, charcoal color case hardening
[12:11] Speaker 4: and beck and was a Kentucky by centennial. Late eighties,
[12:15] Speaker 4: early nineties. Kevin Cherry called and said he wanted five
[12:19] Speaker 4: hundred Winchester ninety four case colored and I said, Yep,
[12:23] Speaker 4: we can do that. This is the price, hung up
[12:25] Speaker 4: the phone and went, what have I done?
[12:28] Speaker 3: How are we going to do this?
[12:31] Speaker 5: And I've and it's happened so many times.
[12:35] Speaker 4: We did twenty five hundred nineteen eleventh and we Charcole blued,
[12:39] Speaker 4: we did the Remington umc run.
[12:41] Speaker 3: I've often talked about my idea that we do in
[12:43] Speaker 3: our family. I've told my kids and it sounded like
[12:46] Speaker 3: you're doing the same thing, which is, if somebody asked
[12:48] Speaker 3: you if you could do something, always say yes and
[12:51] Speaker 3: then go figure out.
[12:52] Speaker 4: How Yeah, exactly, And we've done that so many times.
[12:57] Speaker 3: Well, yeah, you've done amazing work. I mean you were
[12:59] Speaker 3: this air a combination of an artist and a good businessman,
[13:03] Speaker 3: and now you have moved on to this next level,
[13:05] Speaker 3: which is, okay, how do I help other people to
[13:09] Speaker 3: do what I did and to appreciate what I appreciate.
[13:12] Speaker 5: And I let them build their own name.
[13:15] Speaker 3: What is the school again that you're doing this first
[13:17] Speaker 3: grant too.
[13:18] Speaker 4: It's a Pennsylvania gunsmithing school down in Pittsburgh.
[13:22] Speaker 3: Okay, very good. Well, I know they appreciate it. I
[13:25] Speaker 3: got to tell you, we appreciate those of us who
[13:28] Speaker 3: love guns and what you have done and really kind
[13:32] Speaker 3: of recaptured, if you will, this love of fine guns
[13:37] Speaker 3: and the restoration work. You You broke the ground. You
[13:42] Speaker 3: created this whole movement. You really did.
[13:44] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I've broken the mold.
[13:47] Speaker 4: I've had dealers in gunsmiths in your early eighties saying,
[13:50] Speaker 4: you know, you're were owning this stuff too. Thank God
[13:54] Speaker 4: for what you're done and what you know, the quality
[13:58] Speaker 4: they've put into it, and the acceptance of restoration if
[14:02] Speaker 4: it's done right. And there's some fantastic stuff that's being
[14:06] Speaker 4: produced that I look at it and go, I know
[14:09] Speaker 4: it's redone, but holy cow, is that good?
[14:12] Speaker 3: Yeah? It's really good. Well yeah, congratulations, well done. You're
[14:16] Speaker 3: an amazing talent and now you're spreading that and making
[14:19] Speaker 3: sure that that goes forward. Doug Turnbull, thank you so
[14:21] Speaker 3: much for what you're doing. My frame, Tom, great to
[14:24] Speaker 3: talk with you. Alrighty, Hi, don't go far. We'll be
[14:26] Speaker 3: right back with more gun talk.

[16:33] Speaker 7: When it comes to carry guns, size matters, but so
[16:36] Speaker 7: does performance. The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard two point zero
[16:40] Speaker 7: delivers both. It's slim, ergonomic, and built to handle recoil
[16:44] Speaker 7: like a champ. The upgraded slide serrations mean you can
[16:47] Speaker 7: rack it fast, even under pressure, and that striker fired
[16:51] Speaker 7: flat face trigger, clean, crisp and repeatable like your favorite
[16:55] Speaker 7: playlist on loop. Big confidence in a small package.
[17:13] Speaker 3: I got a question, were you assuming you own more
[17:17] Speaker 3: than one pistol? And I'm guessing that a lot of
[17:20] Speaker 3: the people listening to this do how do you decide
[17:25] Speaker 3: which one to carry? If you're going to go carry
[17:27] Speaker 3: a gun for self defense? How do you make the
[17:31] Speaker 3: decision which one and which one do you carry the most?
[17:36] Speaker 3: Just kind of curious. I mean, it's like, once again,
[17:38] Speaker 3: no right or wrong answer, Just wondering. Eight six to six,
[17:41] Speaker 3: talk gun or Tom talk gun. Over in Texas, they
[17:44] Speaker 3: got a Senate race going on. Fascinating actually, and one
[17:50] Speaker 3: of the candidates, the Democrat James Tallerico, has made it
[17:55] Speaker 3: a point, although he's trying to hide from it now,
[17:58] Speaker 3: uh from voting him parading his anti gun positions. And
[18:04] Speaker 3: I'm wondering if the word is out, if Texans actually
[18:10] Speaker 3: know about taller Rico's comments, and this is not just
[18:15] Speaker 3: happenstance or somebody's saying this. This is actually on video.
[18:19] Speaker 3: You can go look at it. When he said, let's
[18:22] Speaker 3: see making sure I get this right. Yeah, he says,
[18:27] Speaker 3: I think universal background checks, I think closing the gun
[18:30] Speaker 3: show loophole, and I saw weapons ban, a large capacity
[18:34] Speaker 3: magazine ban. I think restricting large firearm purchases. I think
[18:38] Speaker 3: even we should start to think about handgun design safety standards. Hmm.
[18:47] Speaker 3: So he favors a ban on AR fifteen's favors a
[18:52] Speaker 3: ban on standard capacity magazines. Now, if you ask him
[18:56] Speaker 3: to that was in twenty twenty. If you ask him today,
[18:58] Speaker 3: he says, oh, yeah, no, no, I'm I'm a Second
[19:00] Speaker 3: Amendment supporter. Says, but most people don't really realize. You
[19:04] Speaker 3: know that you're able to do restrictions on guns and
[19:09] Speaker 3: still support the Second Amendment. Actually, no, sir, you're not.
[19:12] Speaker 3: I actually, no, you're not. I also love the ones
[19:16] Speaker 3: not tell Rica. But others said, well, you know, most
[19:20] Speaker 3: politicians have never read the Second Amendment, because if they did,
[19:25] Speaker 3: they would know it says well regulated. Well, it does,
[19:29] Speaker 3: in fact say well regulated starts off a well regulated
[19:32] Speaker 3: militia being necessary to the security of a free state.
[19:36] Speaker 3: The right of the people to keep and bear arms
[19:39] Speaker 3: shall not be in fringe. That's the whole thing, Just
[19:42] Speaker 3: a few words. But you got to go back and say,
[19:45] Speaker 3: what did the word regulated mean when they wrote it,
[19:48] Speaker 3: And you look back at the dictionaries at the time,
[19:50] Speaker 3: it was very clear and very easy to understand. And
[19:55] Speaker 3: very much not what people are saying it is today.
[19:58] Speaker 3: Regulated simply meant that it works well, really well equipped,
[20:03] Speaker 3: well run, well regulated militia means it has the equipment
[20:08] Speaker 3: it needs, has the guns, it has the ammunition, it's trained,
[20:12] Speaker 3: and it is competent. That's what well regulated meant. At
[20:17] Speaker 3: the time, we talk about regulating a clock, making sure
[20:20] Speaker 3: it's running correctly. So the current gun banners like to
[20:25] Speaker 3: say well, well regulated means we can regulate, we can
[20:29] Speaker 3: restrict gun rights. That is not at all what it meant.
[20:33] Speaker 3: And frankly, to say that is to say you know
[20:37] Speaker 3: nothing about the Supreme Court decisions of the last fifteen
[20:40] Speaker 3: twenty years on the Second Amendment, because the Supreme Court
[20:45] Speaker 3: has said, no, that's not what that meant. It's something meant,
[20:48] Speaker 3: well rehearsed, well equipped. It meant that the militia, which
[20:54] Speaker 3: is all of us, can and should it must have guns.
[21:02] Speaker 3: The second A moment actually says we should all have guns.
[21:06] Speaker 3: Now you are not required to have a gun, but
[21:11] Speaker 3: it also says the government is prohibited from keeping you
[21:18] Speaker 3: from having guns. There are those who say that you know,
[21:25] Speaker 3: the government doesn't allow or the government allows this, or
[21:28] Speaker 3: that that's not how it works in our country. Now
[21:32] Speaker 3: in other countries, that is how it works. Everything is
[21:34] Speaker 3: prohibited unless the government allows it. Here, everything is allowed
[21:37] Speaker 3: unless the government prohibits it. It is an essential difference,
[21:43] Speaker 3: and it is the essence of liberty. We can do
[21:48] Speaker 3: whatever we want unless it is specifically prohibited. That's just
[21:53] Speaker 3: the way our laws work. So no one the government
[21:57] Speaker 3: doesn't allow you to carry a gun. The government doesn't
[22:00] Speaker 3: allow you to own guns. The government may try to
[22:04] Speaker 3: prohibit those activities, but under the Second Amendment, it is
[22:09] Speaker 3: specifically prohibited from doing that. That is what the Second
[22:13] Speaker 3: Movement is. That is a restriction on the government. It
[22:16] Speaker 3: is not a right that is granted to us. We
[22:20] Speaker 3: have that right. What have you been shooting? Give me
[22:22] Speaker 3: a holler. I'd love to know about it. We'd love
[22:24] Speaker 3: to get those range reports. And also how many twenty
[22:28] Speaker 3: twos do you own? I remember back many years ago,
[22:40] Speaker 3: just not too long after we started doing gun talk radio,
[22:43] Speaker 3: MSNBC came to town and wanted to do an interview
[22:46] Speaker 3: with me. They spent like three days with me, and
[22:48] Speaker 3: in the process of doing all that, and once they
[22:51] Speaker 3: asked me, so, well, how many guns do you own?
[22:54] Speaker 3: And just just popped into my head. I said more
[22:59] Speaker 3: than I need and not as many as I want.
[23:03] Speaker 3: Still seems like a good answer. I don't know. Let's
[23:06] Speaker 3: go line one. John's with us out of Saint Louis, Missouri. Hello, John,
[23:09] Speaker 3: you're on gun talk.
[23:11] Speaker 13: Oh, yes, I'm here to hear me.
[23:13] Speaker 3: I got you.
[23:14] Speaker 13: Go ahead, sir, Yeah, I'm driving right now. I'm heading
[23:17] Speaker 13: down to the Arnold Rifle Pistol Club in Arnold, south
[23:21] Speaker 13: of Saint Louis to shoot from a wobble trap. But
[23:25] Speaker 13: when I hear you, that word need comes up all
[23:28] Speaker 13: the time in your discussions where people are quizzing you
[23:31] Speaker 13: need versus what do you need a car for? What
[23:34] Speaker 13: do you need of this or that? What I've been
[23:38] Speaker 13: doing for so many years is when I hear somebody
[23:40] Speaker 13: ask that, I ask him right there, I go, Hey,
[23:43] Speaker 13: what are you a communist? You know? They look at
[23:46] Speaker 13: me befuddled, like, what are you talking about?
[23:48] Speaker 3: John?
[23:49] Speaker 13: I said, that's the communist word. That's communism. When you're
[23:53] Speaker 13: starting to decide what people need. Our country is a
[23:57] Speaker 13: country of wants. And if you want something legally obviously,
[24:04] Speaker 13: but you get busy you figure out how to get it.
[24:06] Speaker 13: You may or may not get it, but that's what
[24:09] Speaker 13: you do. But when it comes down to needs, there's
[24:13] Speaker 13: going to be a group somewhere deciding what you need.
[24:18] Speaker 13: And my final on that is, if we were to
[24:23] Speaker 13: get taken over by communism. I'm seventy nine so hopefully not,
[24:27] Speaker 13: but if that were to happen, I want to be
[24:31] Speaker 13: a decider. I call it a group of deciders, And
[24:34] Speaker 13: I tell my buddies, I'll be trying to be as
[24:38] Speaker 13: fair and nice to you as I can be. But
[24:40] Speaker 13: believe you me, you don't want me deciding on what
[24:44] Speaker 13: you need, whether it be the house, own, the car, own,
[24:49] Speaker 13: the gun, to own or not own. You don't want
[24:52] Speaker 13: me there, even though I be a pretty good guy,
[24:54] Speaker 13: I think. But I tell you what, I challenge everybody
[24:58] Speaker 13: when you hear that word pop up up in conversations,
[25:01] Speaker 13: what do you need that for? What do they need
[25:03] Speaker 13: that communists? And call them out on it.
[25:05] Speaker 3: There you go. I like it. That's a great I
[25:07] Speaker 3: tell you what I'm going to borrow that consider it stolen.
[25:09] Speaker 3: There you go. So it's a good idea. Thank you
[25:12] Speaker 3: for the call. I appreciate it. Hell yeah, good shooting.
[25:13] Speaker 3: By the way, when you get down to Arnold. Yeah,
[25:17] Speaker 3: somebody said, what do you need that for? What do
[25:19] Speaker 3: you mean what I need it for? I want? I
[25:20] Speaker 3: want it. You know, the only question is is it legal?
[25:24] Speaker 3: Do I want it? And can I afford it? You know,
[25:27] Speaker 3: what do you need a five thousand dollars pistol for?
[25:30] Speaker 3: Don't That's the good part about it. I don't have
[25:33] Speaker 3: to need anything. I just want it and if I
[25:37] Speaker 3: can afford it, or like in my case to say, okay,
[25:40] Speaker 3: well I'm going to get something that I've been going
[25:42] Speaker 3: through the process over the last few years of I
[25:45] Speaker 3: have a lot of guns and um are very special
[25:47] Speaker 3: and sell them several at a time and then replacing
[25:49] Speaker 3: them with like one really nice gun. So now I'm
[25:51] Speaker 3: going to quality over quantity. I guess that is what
[25:55] Speaker 3: you'd say. All right, let's start down line too. Tom
[25:57] Speaker 3: said in the Houston, Texas Hello to time you're on
[26:00] Speaker 3: gun Talky.
[26:03] Speaker 14: Good afternoon, Tom. Yes, sir, that's about how many twenty
[26:07] Speaker 14: two's I've got, right, And I was sitting here thinking
[26:14] Speaker 14: I got seven of them, but then I remembered recently
[26:19] Speaker 14: they had the Taurus, a little nine milimeters pistol right
[26:24] Speaker 14: on sale and for two and fifty nine dollars. You
[26:30] Speaker 14: got a free uh what do you call it, American
[26:34] Speaker 14: Red Rider or whatever? The single action.
[26:39] Speaker 3: Revolver.
[26:41] Speaker 14: Yes, but it's the it's the one you got to open.
[26:45] Speaker 14: It's like a like a Army Special back, you know,
[26:50] Speaker 14: you open the gate and you load around one of
[26:52] Speaker 14: the roll out.
[26:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a single action revolver. So you got that
[26:57] Speaker 3: for free?
[26:59] Speaker 14: Yes? Or so I'm up to ten twenty two's right now,
[27:03] Speaker 14: and I love the twenty two cartridge. And people always
[27:08] Speaker 14: when I get talking to them, I say, well, let's
[27:11] Speaker 14: stop and think about it. If we're in a survival
[27:14] Speaker 14: situation and I can carry three hundred rounds of twenty
[27:20] Speaker 14: two versus thirty five forty five rounds of nine millimeters
[27:25] Speaker 14: or five point seven or whatever. And then I stop
[27:29] Speaker 14: and they say, well, yeah, but I still like my
[27:33] Speaker 14: five five six. I said, okay, I said, so you're
[27:37] Speaker 14: going to take down a squirrel or a rabbit or whatever.
[27:42] Speaker 14: You're out there, but on your own, you know, or
[27:44] Speaker 14: maybe you got two or three people with me. You know,
[27:47] Speaker 14: I can eat two or three squirrels. I cannot eat
[27:50] Speaker 14: a whole deer and continue to move. Yep, you want me,
[27:56] Speaker 14: you want me to pack, refrigerate, and preserve. One hundred
[28:00] Speaker 14: and fifty pounds were dressed out in me.
[28:04] Speaker 3: I understand you understand what you're saying, all right, so
[28:07] Speaker 3: let me ask you. I'll go a little further.
[28:09] Speaker 15: Right.
[28:09] Speaker 3: We're up to ten twenty two, and I'll bet you
[28:12] Speaker 3: if I forced you to, you can probably find another
[28:14] Speaker 3: word or too you forgot about. But here's another question
[28:16] Speaker 3: for you. Do you have any earthly idea? How many
[28:19] Speaker 3: rounds of twenty two am you have?
[28:25] Speaker 14: I'm somewhere between thirty five hundred and four thous Okay, well,
[28:30] Speaker 14: let's say four hundred of that is magnum. I bought
[28:38] Speaker 14: the Keltegs BMR thirty, which as soon as I slap
[28:43] Speaker 14: a magazine in that booker, I have thirty rounds before
[28:47] Speaker 14: I'm out.
[28:48] Speaker 3: That is one of the most fun pistols to shoot.
[28:51] Speaker 3: We were shooting that thing into a range of Celtech
[28:54] Speaker 3: one time, shooting video. I don't know if you've ever
[28:56] Speaker 3: experienced this with yours, but in the right light, when
[28:59] Speaker 3: you shoot that thing, it blows out a donut of fire.
[29:03] Speaker 3: It's a ring of fire that comes out from the muzzle.
[29:06] Speaker 3: It's really cool, Johnny.
[29:10] Speaker 14: It's called the Johnny Cash model, and it's a good
[29:15] Speaker 14: little pistol. And of course they have the CMR now,
[29:19] Speaker 14: which what is at fourteen or sixteen inch barrel?
[29:22] Speaker 3: Right?
[29:23] Speaker 14: And God only knows what the muzzle velocity is on
[29:28] Speaker 14: that bigger.
[29:30] Speaker 3: All right, well, I love it. Thank you for the call, sir,
[29:33] Speaker 3: I just you know, I love He's counting up as
[29:35] Speaker 3: twenty two and then he says, oh, but wait, there's
[29:37] Speaker 3: another one. Of course, at first he started out with
[29:39] Speaker 3: eight and he said, but I got a free one.
[29:41] Speaker 3: So then he said, well, I guess it's ten. I'm
[29:43] Speaker 3: going huh, And then he says he's got ten twenty two.
[29:46] Speaker 3: Is I'm thinking you got a ten twenty two? Oh
[29:48] Speaker 3: oh no, that's a different thing. But everybody ought to
[29:50] Speaker 3: have a ten twenty two. Also, you know another twenty
[29:53] Speaker 3: rifle I really like, and if you have one, you understand.
[29:58] Speaker 3: If you don't, you may not understand it. The Smith
[30:00] Speaker 3: and Wesson m n P fifteen twenty two it is,
[30:05] Speaker 3: and they are fifteen and twenty two rim fire basically
[30:09] Speaker 3: the fire control group is the same. And I don't
[30:12] Speaker 3: know what they are three hundred four hundred bucks. They're
[30:14] Speaker 3: not terribly expensive. And just fun. Great way to get
[30:18] Speaker 3: somebody going. Got the collapsible stock, adjustable stock so you
[30:22] Speaker 3: can have you know, kids or people have different sizes,
[30:27] Speaker 3: shoot them and they're just fun, and stick a red
[30:32] Speaker 3: dot on it and it's easy for everybody to shoot.
[30:34] Speaker 3: It's a great way to start people out shooting. Obviously,
[30:37] Speaker 3: if you're going to in any of these, I know
[30:40] Speaker 3: sometimes people say it's just a twenty two. You don't
[30:42] Speaker 3: need hearing protection. Yes, you do. Hearing. It's a one
[30:50] Speaker 3: way loss deal. If you've ever hung around somebody who's
[30:54] Speaker 3: lost his or her hearing, you start to understand how
[30:58] Speaker 3: incredibly frustrating it is. They say now that loss of
[31:05] Speaker 3: hearing actually accelerates dementia, which I can understand certainly makes
[31:11] Speaker 3: your world get smaller. All that to say, anything you
[31:15] Speaker 3: can do to protect your hearing is worthwhile. With somebody
[31:19] Speaker 3: earlier saying yeah, he wears double hearing protection, I think
[31:23] Speaker 3: that's a great idea. We're like phone plugs and then
[31:27] Speaker 3: we're muffs over the top. Great way to go. Obviously,
[31:32] Speaker 3: any talk about hearing protection brings us straight into silencers
[31:36] Speaker 3: and suppressors. Just a really good idea whose time has come.
[31:44] Speaker 3: It has now become much easier to buy a silencer.
[31:50] Speaker 3: What two or three years ago, it was taken a
[31:52] Speaker 3: year to get the forms back from the ATF. Now
[31:55] Speaker 3: it's two days to five days. We were having to
[31:59] Speaker 3: pay two hundred tax or each one of them. Every
[32:03] Speaker 3: time you bought a suppressor or silencer, you have to
[32:05] Speaker 3: pay a two hundred dollars tax. The tax is gone,
[32:08] Speaker 3: that does not exist anymore. So now it's like no
[32:12] Speaker 3: dollars for tax in mere days to get it in,
[32:16] Speaker 3: and people are buying silencers like crazy. So there you go.
[32:20] Speaker 3: Let's grab stand online. Four out of the that hey
[32:23] Speaker 3: stand here on gun talk? Which question, sir?
[32:26] Speaker 15: Well, I had two questions. You gave me a third one.
[32:30] Speaker 15: The first two were just fun. The first is why
[32:36] Speaker 15: do I need a gun? Or the same reason I
[32:39] Speaker 15: would ask somebody why they need a fire extinguisher if
[32:41] Speaker 15: they're not expecting a fire.
[32:45] Speaker 3: I agree you, I do you know the thing about that.
[32:49] Speaker 3: I'll let you get to your other questions. But I
[32:50] Speaker 3: have run that past several people when I said, well,
[32:53] Speaker 3: you know, well you got a fire extinguisher right, Trying
[32:55] Speaker 3: to use that as an example, I am stunned at
[32:59] Speaker 3: how many people do not have a fire extinguisher in
[33:01] Speaker 3: their house. I can't even imagine it, but you'd be
[33:04] Speaker 3: amazed at how many people who don't are thinking, Okay,
[33:06] Speaker 3: well you just are clearly not thinking about this.
[33:10] Speaker 15: Yeah, the same people that would of course expect calling
[33:14] Speaker 15: the police is going to save a home break in.
[33:16] Speaker 3: Exactly right, exactly all right.
[33:19] Speaker 15: The second is why would I want a gun? I
[33:23] Speaker 15: would ask why do people want ferraris? They're a lot of.
[33:28] Speaker 3: Fun, because they're fun, and I just want one. And
[33:33] Speaker 3: really the only question at that point isn't it that
[33:36] Speaker 3: can I afford it? And if I can afford it
[33:38] Speaker 3: and I want it, why wouldn't I?
[33:40] Speaker 14: Where's the hard exactly?
[33:42] Speaker 15: But the third one, while I was listening on hold,
[33:45] Speaker 15: you were talking about suppressors. I actually, I think that's
[33:48] Speaker 15: an important question. That's ear protection, right, and if we're
[33:52] Speaker 15: talking about using a firearm and inside your home, these
[33:57] Speaker 15: are people that have never fired a gun, don't know
[34:00] Speaker 15: what kind of damage they do to your ears.
[34:04] Speaker 13: Very much, Yep.
[34:07] Speaker 15: Don't agree with suppressors not being legal, because if I'm
[34:11] Speaker 15: going to use my forty in my house to defend myself,
[34:15] Speaker 15: I'd don't really like to not go death doing it.
[34:18] Speaker 3: I agree, you know, And I remember at Head from Gunside,
[34:21] Speaker 3: who edged no longer with us, but he said he
[34:25] Speaker 3: would keep ear muffs, electronic earbuffs next to his knight
[34:30] Speaker 3: stander on his nightstand so that if he had to
[34:32] Speaker 3: get up, if there was a bump in the night
[34:33] Speaker 3: or something, he put those on. Yes, to get hearing
[34:36] Speaker 3: protection front, but also with the amplification, you can hear
[34:39] Speaker 3: what's going on in the rooms around you. And I
[34:41] Speaker 3: thought that's brilliant. I love that idea.
[34:44] Speaker 15: Because exactly if I'm trying to find someone in the
[34:48] Speaker 15: dark in my house and I have ear muff on
[34:52] Speaker 15: like that just makes it harder.
[34:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, But if they are amplified, if you've got electronic
[34:59] Speaker 3: ear muffs, you can hear sounds in the other rooms.
[35:02] Speaker 3: That just that's a better way to go. I love it.
[35:04] Speaker 3: You got three good points there, Thank you, sir. I
[35:06] Speaker 3: appreciate the call. Let's grab Chris in California on five.
[35:10] Speaker 3: Hey Chris, you got something interesting here?
[35:14] Speaker 16: By Tom.
[35:15] Speaker 6: Yes, I remember from a show a while back you
[35:18] Speaker 6: were saying that supporters of Wayne Lafier moved from the
[35:22] Speaker 6: n ra A to the n r A, I l
[35:24] Speaker 6: A and no, no, no.
[35:25] Speaker 3: No, no no no no no no no, let's let's
[35:28] Speaker 3: stop that right there. No, they moved to the NRA
[35:31] Speaker 3: Foundation Friends of the NRA, a different group completely.
[35:36] Speaker 6: Okay, well great, I'm glad you cleared that up, because
[35:39] Speaker 6: I got a text message saying that there's a virtual
[35:42] Speaker 6: session for uh, you know, working to become a you know,
[35:47] Speaker 6: work with the NRA, I l A in their activities,
[35:50] Speaker 6: and I just wanted to verify that it wasn't something
[35:53] Speaker 6: that would be going to Wayne Lafier.
[35:56] Speaker 3: No, no, no, boy, I am really glad you asked
[35:58] Speaker 3: that question. No, the the bad guys at NRA with
[36:02] Speaker 3: the Lopier group have moved over to the NRA Foundation.
[36:05] Speaker 3: They've actually changed the name of it now, and they're
[36:08] Speaker 3: being sued by NRA to get the money back because
[36:10] Speaker 3: there's like one hundred and fifty million dollars sitting over
[36:13] Speaker 3: there that these guys have grabbed. But no, NRAILA is
[36:17] Speaker 3: perfectly good, and actually I think it's better than it's
[36:19] Speaker 3: ever been. And they're working very closely with the other
[36:23] Speaker 3: Second Amendment groups, Secondment Foundation, Gunners of America, Farms Policy Coalition,
[36:29] Speaker 3: and all of them working together in these cases. So
[36:31] Speaker 3: if you have an interest in that seminar, I would
[36:33] Speaker 3: suggest you go ahead and do it.
[36:36] Speaker 6: Okay, Can I give that information out the time of day?
[36:39] Speaker 3: Yeah? Go ahead?
[36:40] Speaker 6: Well okay, yeah, it's it's a webinar. It's the fourteenth
[36:43] Speaker 6: of this month, and it's six pm to eight pm
[36:46] Speaker 6: Pacific standard time.
[36:47] Speaker 16: That's according to the text I received from.
[36:49] Speaker 3: That, and probably get going to the nraila website will
[36:53] Speaker 3: get to the information on that. I'm guessing.
[36:56] Speaker 13: I'm guessing that too.
[36:57] Speaker 6: I didn't research that far. I'm just like, I'm just
[36:59] Speaker 6: going on the text I received, and I just wanted
[37:02] Speaker 6: to verify that there were good guys.
[37:04] Speaker 3: I'm glad you asked. You know, you're correct. Yeah, those
[37:08] Speaker 3: directors who actually got ousted moved over to the NRA Foundation,
[37:13] Speaker 3: and that is the group that puts on the Friends
[37:16] Speaker 3: of the NRA banquets. The money is supposed to go
[37:19] Speaker 3: to the NRA, but they somehow. I don't know exactly
[37:22] Speaker 3: how it happened, and there's a lawsuit involved, and it's
[37:25] Speaker 3: a mess. But no, LA is just fine. We got
[37:28] Speaker 3: time for Ken. All right, let's do that line three.
[37:31] Speaker 3: Ken's in Boise, Idaho. Hello, Ken, you're on gun talk.
[37:34] Speaker 17: Let's talk twenty thanks, hey, twenty two. So I was
[37:38] Speaker 17: just counting mine up. I've got a dozen right now,
[37:42] Speaker 17: and I just send her and sold three hand guns
[37:46] Speaker 17: within the last month, and I can't have enough. I've
[37:49] Speaker 17: got seven hand guns and five rifles. I'm getting a
[37:53] Speaker 17: little on AMMO. I counted the other day, I only
[37:56] Speaker 17: had about fifty thousand rounds left, so a real big deal,
[38:05] Speaker 17: and I thought, well, I better buy a little more.
[38:07] Speaker 17: So I bought another sixty six hundred crowns. So I'm
[38:10] Speaker 17: up to fifty six thousand rounds. Oh my god for a.
[38:14] Speaker 3: While, all right, So what's the next twenty two you're
[38:17] Speaker 3: gonna buy?
[38:19] Speaker 16: You know?
[38:20] Speaker 17: I went through all the handguns that anybody if they
[38:23] Speaker 17: put competition in the name. I bought one, and then
[38:26] Speaker 17: I sent the herd and bought two long Courts and
[38:29] Speaker 17: Black Mambas, and I love them. They both shoot so sweet.
[38:35] Speaker 17: They're like they run like a singer soul.
[38:37] Speaker 3: Machine, well exactly, and both Courson just makes such nice,
[38:41] Speaker 3: nice guns. I mean, you really can't go bad with those,
[38:44] Speaker 3: so just wonderful, well done. So I think fifty six
[38:48] Speaker 3: thousand rounds of twenty two AMO, that's that's a good number.
[38:53] Speaker 3: You know. When people say, well, I've got like four
[38:54] Speaker 3: or five thousand rounds, I think, man, there's a rookie number.
[38:57] Speaker 3: We got up our game here and things nice about
[39:00] Speaker 3: it now, hammil prices are a little bit lower twenty two.
[39:04] Speaker 3: You can afford them. You can buy them a thousand
[39:06] Speaker 3: at a time. One thousand this week, one thousand next week.
[39:09] Speaker 3: You do that for a year or two, you might
[39:11] Speaker 3: be up to some good numbers there. How many rounds
[39:15] Speaker 3: do you have? Love to hear? All right? That be here?
[39:28] Speaker 3: Going straight to the phone, You're going to talk with
[39:30] Speaker 3: Bob and Denver on four. Hello Bob, you're on gun Talk.
[39:33] Speaker 3: How can we help you?
[39:35] Speaker 16: Yes, Tom, I've had multiple surgeries to my neck and
[39:39] Speaker 16: can't stand recoiled very much.
[39:42] Speaker 13: Uh huh, But I like.
[39:44] Speaker 16: Bird sitting and looking for a resource for two and
[39:48] Speaker 16: a half inch twenty eight games shutgun shells and five
[39:52] Speaker 16: or seven and a halfs so I can shoot more.
[39:57] Speaker 3: Question is do you have a gun chambered in two
[40:00] Speaker 3: and a half inch or do you just look for
[40:03] Speaker 3: lower recoil?
[40:05] Speaker 16: Lower recoil, it's chamber two and three quarters, which is
[40:09] Speaker 16: readily available, but two and a half inch shut shot
[40:12] Speaker 16: before and it worked really well in Remington eleven hundred.
[40:18] Speaker 16: But I don't know where to buy the shells anymore.
[40:23] Speaker 3: I'm not sure right off hand. I'm doing a little
[40:27] Speaker 3: check all right now to see what I can find.
[40:32] Speaker 3: RST might have those, Yeah, they might. RST shells online.
[40:41] Speaker 3: You're definitely gonna have to go online. You're not gonna
[40:43] Speaker 3: find anything like this locally, of course. Yep, there you go,
[40:46] Speaker 3: two and a half inch shells. RST Shells dot com.
[40:50] Speaker 16: Oh, perfect is very much.
[40:52] Speaker 3: Appreciate it, you bet, and good luck with that. But
[40:56] Speaker 3: I appreciate what you're saying. The recoil and the twenty
[40:59] Speaker 3: eight gages grew. I love it because it's much much
[41:02] Speaker 3: more effective than a fourten is a low recoil. But also,
[41:05] Speaker 3: you know, not nearly the number of shot pellets, So
[41:08] Speaker 3: that's the way to go. Yeah, rstshells dot com. Good
[41:12] Speaker 3: luck with that, and thanks for the call, sir. Shotgun. Oh.
[41:16] Speaker 3: I just got the clay coppter from Caldwell. Haven't had
[41:19] Speaker 3: a chance to get it out yet. That just looks
[41:21] Speaker 3: like the coolest fun toy. Throwing those spinning targets for well,
[41:26] Speaker 3: it's not clay targets. They're spinning goofy targets. You got
[41:30] Speaker 3: to look at the video if you go to Callwell
[41:32] Speaker 3: website and take a look at the clay copter, it
[41:35] Speaker 3: just looked like so much fun. I've had a chance
[41:37] Speaker 3: to shoot the targets or make them fly, but not
[41:40] Speaker 3: shoot them with a gun, at least not so far.
[41:43] Speaker 3: So we're gonna be doing that pretty soon. We'll get
[41:45] Speaker 3: out and do that. And I just got my twenty
[41:47] Speaker 3: eight gauge bag. Speaking a twenty agent, I am sitting
[41:50] Speaker 3: off to the gunsmith, had it cleaned, had it serviced,
[41:52] Speaker 3: got it all back. I was able to get a
[41:55] Speaker 3: twenty eight gauge over and under.
[41:58] Speaker 14: That was to me.
[42:01] Speaker 3: It's bent for a left handed shooter, and having your
[42:03] Speaker 3: shotgun fitted to you is like magic. It is unbelievable
[42:09] Speaker 3: what it does for you. You will shoot so much better, Seriously,
[42:12] Speaker 3: you will. So if you're thinking about what can I
[42:15] Speaker 3: do next? If you like shotgunning and you've never had
[42:18] Speaker 3: a gun fitted to you, find a place you know
[42:21] Speaker 3: a lot of the good skip ranges or Sporting Cleans
[42:25] Speaker 3: ranges will have a gunfit or available, or they have
[42:27] Speaker 3: one that comes through occasionally spend the money, get a
[42:31] Speaker 3: gun fitted to you. See what it does for you.
[42:33] Speaker 3: I think you will be amazed at what a difference
[42:35] Speaker 3: it makes. Once again, why would I need to do that?
[42:38] Speaker 3: BOT because I want to. Need is not a factor
[42:42] Speaker 3: in this. It's not the Bill of needs, it's the
[42:46] Speaker 3: Bill of rights. And as our caller said, besides, it's
[42:49] Speaker 3: communist to ask about need. Why is if I need
[42:53] Speaker 3: a car that goes one hundred and twenty miles an hour,
[42:55] Speaker 3: I don't know, just want it, Okay, it's a legal goal.
[42:59] Speaker 3: If I can drive that fast where it's legal. Lot
[43:01] Speaker 3: of will there you go, as long as you keep
[43:03] Speaker 3: it legal and you can afford it. I don't care.
[43:06] Speaker 3: And if you want to buy a three hundred dollars pistol,
[43:09] Speaker 3: that's fine. If you want to buy a fifty three
[43:12] Speaker 3: hundred dollars pistol, I don't care. It doesn't affect me
[43:15] Speaker 3: one way or the other. You know does It'd love
[43:19] Speaker 3: to get your take on that. If you want to
[43:20] Speaker 3: join us, call me right now. You can get on
[43:22] Speaker 3: the after show. Call me a Tom Talk gun. The
[43:25] Speaker 3: question on the floor is, let's compare five hundred dollars
[43:30] Speaker 3: guns and five thousand dollars guns. If you had the money,
[43:35] Speaker 3: would just spend it on a gun like that. In
[43:37] Speaker 3: the meantime, go out there, a little shooting this week.
[43:39] Speaker 3: Shoot more Ambo, buy more Ambo. Take somebody with you.
[43:43] Speaker 3: It's fun to take a friend to the rain. We
[43:46] Speaker 3: all need to do more of that. Be safe out there,
[43:48] Speaker 3: Watch those muzzles.
