[0:01] Speaker 1: Ruger didn't just update the ar, they rebuilt it from
[0:04] Speaker 1: the ground up. The Harrier is the modern sporting rifle
[0:07] Speaker 1: reimagined for the serious shooter. Millspec for seventy seventy five
[0:11] Speaker 1: receivers and I try to bulk Carrier group with stacked
[0:14] Speaker 1: gas key mlockhandguard, with full length accessory rail, access threaded barrel,
[0:19] Speaker 1: ready for whatever you add to it. This isn't an iteration,
[0:22] Speaker 1: It's an evolution. Decades of Ruger engineering discipline poured into
[0:27] Speaker 1: the platform.
[0:27] Speaker 2: You love the Ruger Harrier.
[0:30] Speaker 3: From the range to the field. CZ firearms are built

[0:48] Speaker 2: Yeah, we're still talking about guns around here. I'm Tom Gresham. Well,
[0:51] Speaker 2: it's called gun talks. And what do you else, What
[0:53] Speaker 2: do you think we're gonna be doing around here? We
[0:54] Speaker 2: talk about guns well, and the second I'm going then advocacy.
[0:58] Speaker 2: Of course, we talk about all of that. If if
[1:00] Speaker 2: you have a gun you want to tell me about
[1:02] Speaker 2: or maybe a question to ask, Maybe maybe you just
[1:05] Speaker 2: have been thinking about buying your first gun you're not
[1:10] Speaker 2: sure how to go about it or what you need,
[1:12] Speaker 2: by all means, give me a call. We'll talk it through.
[1:15] Speaker 2: You know, they're all saying there are no stupid questions.
[1:18] Speaker 2: That's not true. There are some, but we can help you.
[1:21] Speaker 2: They're not gonna be stupid questions today. Okay, we'll help
[1:24] Speaker 2: you out with that. Give me a call. Eight sixty
[1:26] Speaker 2: six Talk gun or Tom, Talk Gun. Joining Ris right
[1:28] Speaker 2: now as Holly Sullivan from the Citizens Committee for the
[1:31] Speaker 2: Right to Keep in Bare Arms. Holly, I'm glad that
[1:34] Speaker 2: you are here. What is this event you got going
[1:36] Speaker 2: next week?
[1:38] Speaker 4: Hey?
[1:38] Speaker 5: Tom, so thankful for having me on. So we actually
[1:41] Speaker 5: have a first of its kind conference coming up next weekend, Saturday,
[1:45] Speaker 5: May thirtieth, in Chickapea, Massachusetts. So this is the New
[1:49] Speaker 5: England Firearms Advocacy Conference, and we have an all star
[1:54] Speaker 5: lineup of legislators, attorneys, second Amendment groups and it's really
[1:59] Speaker 5: bringing New England together in a way that's never happened before.
[2:03] Speaker 2: What's the idea behind it? Who's going and what are
[2:06] Speaker 2: they going to get out of this?
[2:08] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[2:08] Speaker 5: Absolutely So attendees literally it can be anybody. You can
[2:13] Speaker 5: be a gun owner. You could not be a gun owner,
[2:15] Speaker 5: just believe in the Second Amendment, maybe want to learn
[2:17] Speaker 5: more about what's going on in two A advocacy. Here
[2:21] Speaker 5: in New England. We live pretty deep behind the blue
[2:24] Speaker 5: curtain here, as I like to call it. I'm here
[2:28] Speaker 5: in Connecticut, and we are a pretty anti Second Amendment state,
[2:32] Speaker 5: and we are hosting the conference in Massachusetts, which of
[2:35] Speaker 5: course is also a very anti Second Amendment state. And
[2:38] Speaker 5: I think part of the message there is that we're
[2:40] Speaker 5: willing to go where the fight is. It's not enough
[2:44] Speaker 5: to just do it in the places where those Second
[2:47] Speaker 5: Amendment rights are respected. We really have to be fighting
[2:49] Speaker 5: the fight on the ground, and chick a Pee is
[2:52] Speaker 5: absolutely the perfect place for it. So anybody who's driving
[2:56] Speaker 5: distance or if you want to hop on a plane
[2:58] Speaker 5: at this point, you certainly can. Some people are. But
[3:01] Speaker 5: we've got folks coming from all across New England, the
[3:03] Speaker 5: tri state area coming in to really start doing a
[3:07] Speaker 5: deep dive into Second Amendment challenges here in New England.
[3:12] Speaker 5: We have legislators coming from various states. We've got senators,
[3:16] Speaker 5: we've got House representatives. We're going to hear from five
[3:19] Speaker 5: or six different attorneys throughout the day. It is really
[3:22] Speaker 5: a jam pack deep dive into the Second Amendment problems
[3:26] Speaker 5: in New England, what to look out for, what are
[3:29] Speaker 5: our victories, what's working, what's not? And most importantly, and
[3:33] Speaker 5: what I'm most excited about, is how do we start
[3:36] Speaker 5: making progress together? How do we break down barriers, get
[3:40] Speaker 5: out of our silos and start talking to our neighbors
[3:43] Speaker 5: and our neighboring states about how we can start to
[3:46] Speaker 5: move the needles in the other direction.
[3:48] Speaker 2: It sounds like it's kind of a small version of
[3:52] Speaker 2: the Gun Rights Policy Conference where people get together say, Okay,
[3:55] Speaker 2: what are you guys doing over there that's working? What
[3:57] Speaker 2: have you run into over there? We can learn from you.
[4:00] Speaker 2: And in terms of the people who attend this, where
[4:03] Speaker 2: do they get out of it is figuring out what
[4:07] Speaker 2: actually works, how to win, and what does winning look
[4:11] Speaker 2: like because and you know, Holly, a lot of the folks,
[4:14] Speaker 2: unfortunately on our side, sometimes they're enthusiastic but not really
[4:20] Speaker 2: politically savvy about what really works. And it's not enough
[4:25] Speaker 2: to say, hey, we've got the Second Amendment and we're right. Well,
[4:27] Speaker 2: those two things are true, but you could be right
[4:30] Speaker 2: and continue to lose. And sometimes in these blue states
[4:33] Speaker 2: that's what's been going on.
[4:35] Speaker 5: Absolutely, and you're spot on when you're talking about Gun
[4:38] Speaker 5: Rights Policy Conference. So as I'm sure you know, Gun
[4:41] Speaker 5: Right's Policy Conference is hosted by two organizations, the Second
[4:44] Speaker 5: Amendment Foundation and the Citizens Committee for the Right to
[4:47] Speaker 5: Keep Them Their Arms. These two organizations are both chaired
[4:50] Speaker 5: by Alan Gottlieb, and so we are the Citizens Committee
[4:53] Speaker 5: for the Right to Keep Them Their Arms that is
[4:54] Speaker 5: hosting this conference, New England Firearms Advocacy Conference. And I
[4:58] Speaker 5: think part of the amazing thing about this is that
[5:01] Speaker 5: we're taking that really high level content that you get
[5:06] Speaker 5: at gRPC and bringing it locally so that the average
[5:10] Speaker 5: person has access to it. And one of the wonderful
[5:12] Speaker 5: things about New England is it's very drivable. We've got
[5:15] Speaker 5: six states where we're kind of jammed in together, so
[5:18] Speaker 5: it's very accessible to everybody here. I mean, you know,
[5:21] Speaker 5: I get it, and may northern Mainers may have a
[5:25] Speaker 5: little bit of a hike, but for the vast majority
[5:27] Speaker 5: of the population of New England, Chickapea, Massachusetts is dead
[5:31] Speaker 5: in the center where everybody can easily get there be
[5:33] Speaker 5: a highway. So really, yes, you're exactly right. We're taking
[5:36] Speaker 5: that concept and making it more locally accessible, Holly.
[5:41] Speaker 2: In my head, I'm seeing a person who's in that area,
[5:46] Speaker 2: who believes in the Second Amendment, wants to do something
[5:48] Speaker 2: about the Secondmendment, and whether they've he or she had
[5:52] Speaker 2: voiced it, their saying to themselves, yeah, but I really
[5:56] Speaker 2: don't know anything about this. I don't know what to do.
[6:00] Speaker 2: You know, this person could go to this conference and
[6:03] Speaker 2: sit there and not say a word. You're not going
[6:05] Speaker 2: to be put on the spot of what are you doing,
[6:08] Speaker 2: and just absorb and just learn and go, oh, okay,
[6:12] Speaker 2: there are some things that I individually can be doing
[6:15] Speaker 2: to help with the process.
[6:17] Speaker 5: Absolutely, And we're going to have all of the players
[6:21] Speaker 5: from their state in the room. So if you don't
[6:24] Speaker 5: yet know how to make a difference, this is the
[6:27] Speaker 5: perfect opportunity to have a moment to introduce yourself for
[6:31] Speaker 5: whatever it is, and it will come to you and
[6:33] Speaker 5: say hey, thanks for being here, like what's your interests?
[6:36] Speaker 5: And they may say, well, you know, maybe they're from
[6:38] Speaker 5: the Free State of New Hampshire but they don't like
[6:41] Speaker 5: the direction that their legislatures starting to go, or maybe
[6:45] Speaker 5: they're in Maine and they recently saw what it's like
[6:48] Speaker 5: to get these bad bills. Same goes for Vermont. You know, Vermont,
[6:53] Speaker 5: we kind of assume here in Connecticut, Vermont is very
[6:56] Speaker 5: free to us. But you know, folks from the honor
[6:59] Speaker 5: seeing some bad bills for the very first time, This
[7:02] Speaker 5: is really an opportunity to make those connections. And every
[7:06] Speaker 5: single state will have representation in that room as far
[7:10] Speaker 5: as what's happening in your state legislature, what's happening in
[7:14] Speaker 5: the Second Amendment world in your local area, and how
[7:18] Speaker 5: to be a part of it.
[7:20] Speaker 2: And for the person who's sitting there in Florida or
[7:23] Speaker 2: Mississippi or Missouri saying okay, well, why do I care
[7:25] Speaker 2: about that? Here's why you care is because what happens
[7:28] Speaker 2: in California and what happens in New England oozes out
[7:32] Speaker 2: like slime to the rest of the country. And if
[7:35] Speaker 2: you stop it there, it makes a difference. And let
[7:38] Speaker 2: me ask you how, I mean, I love what the
[7:41] Speaker 2: concept of this. In essence, it's like a regional gun
[7:45] Speaker 2: rights policy conference. Is there talk yet? And I know
[7:49] Speaker 2: this is very early on because you're just starting this one,
[7:51] Speaker 2: but is there talk about maybe taking this to other
[7:53] Speaker 2: regions of the country.
[7:55] Speaker 5: There absolutely is, And it's already in the work, so
[7:58] Speaker 5: we do. We have folks that are flying in from
[8:00] Speaker 5: this to this conference, from San Diego, from Arizona. They's
[8:05] Speaker 5: got a gentleman coming up from Georgia. We've got coming
[8:07] Speaker 5: from Ohio. And this is really the exciting direction that
[8:11] Speaker 5: Citizens Committee is going is taking this really important information
[8:17] Speaker 5: and getting it out to the local area. So that
[8:19] Speaker 5: is exactly what we're working on. New Jersey's very fired
[8:22] Speaker 5: up about it, you know, and bringing this conference out
[8:25] Speaker 5: to different regions. And I think you're going to see
[8:27] Speaker 5: a lot more coming out of the Citizens Committee for
[8:29] Speaker 5: the Right to Keep the bear arms.
[8:32] Speaker 2: To me, this is the answer to people who say
[8:37] Speaker 2: I would love to help, but I don't know how.
[8:40] Speaker 2: This is the one where they say, Okay, this is how,
[8:43] Speaker 2: this is who you work with, this is who you join,
[8:46] Speaker 2: this is what it takes. Just put your toe in
[8:48] Speaker 2: the water. We'll take you the rest of the way.
[8:51] Speaker 5: That's exactly right, and it's really the most welcoming group
[8:54] Speaker 5: of people. Anybody who's in our community in the second
[8:57] Speaker 5: eleven community knows that you will be welcomed with open
[9:00] Speaker 5: arms and how can we help you? And let's chat
[9:02] Speaker 5: and keep in touch and it's just the most wonderful
[9:04] Speaker 5: group of all American people just doing what they can
[9:08] Speaker 5: to fight the good fight.
[9:10] Speaker 2: And this is coming up next Saturday, right it is.
[9:13] Speaker 5: Yeah, So it's Saturday, May thirtieth. It's nine to four
[9:16] Speaker 5: thirty in Chickapea, Massachusetts, and there are still general admission
[9:20] Speaker 5: tickets available, so I would encourage folks to please buy
[9:23] Speaker 5: them in advance so we can give the venue the
[9:26] Speaker 5: opportunity to get an adequate headcount for food. But your
[9:29] Speaker 5: twenty five dollars admission to this conference gives you a pastry, breakfast,
[9:34] Speaker 5: coffee throughout the day, and we're going to feed you lunch,
[9:37] Speaker 5: so you really cann't go wrong for twenty five dollars.
[9:40] Speaker 5: And I'm very grateful for our sponsor at USCCA to
[9:43] Speaker 5: to helped make that possible for twenty five dollars to
[9:46] Speaker 5: come in and get a full immersive day including food
[9:50] Speaker 5: throughout the day.
[9:52] Speaker 2: Where did they sign up? Yeah?
[9:54] Speaker 5: Super easy. So the Citizens Committee for the Right to
[9:58] Speaker 5: Keep the Bear Arms is simply ceased KBA dot org
[10:02] Speaker 5: and then forward slash SAC which chandfor Firearms Advocacy Conference.
[10:07] Speaker 5: If that's too much to remember, just do a simple
[10:10] Speaker 5: Google New England Firearms Advocacy Conference. It will pop right
[10:13] Speaker 5: up right there and if folks are interested, I would
[10:16] Speaker 5: really encourage them to purchase tickets either today on Sunday
[10:19] Speaker 5: or tomorrow on Monday. We'd love to have our headcounting
[10:23] Speaker 5: to the venue for Tuesday.
[10:25] Speaker 2: There you go. Systems Committee for the Right to Keep

[10:32] Speaker 2: A great idea. I love seeing the idea that this

[10:36] Speaker 2: great concept.
[10:37] Speaker 5: Thanks so much.

[12:59] Speaker 1: Two and fifty years of American liberty, Ruger is honoring
[13:02] Speaker 1: that milestone with firearms worthy of the moment. The two
[13:05] Speaker 1: hundred and fiftieth Anniversary series distinctly marked with made in
[13:08] Speaker 1: the two hundred and fiftieth year of American Liberty. Each
[13:11] Speaker 1: limited production model echoes Ruger's legendary nineteen seventy six bi
[13:15] Speaker 1: centennial line while celebrating the freedoms the Second Amendment has
[13:18] Speaker 1: safeguarded for generations, from the iconic ten twenty two to
[13:21] Speaker 1: the LCP Max, the Super Wrangler to the American Rifle
[13:24] Speaker 1: Jen two.
[13:25] Speaker 11: These aren't just guns.
[13:41] Speaker 2: Well, we're just talking about gun unfriendly states. And then
[13:47] Speaker 2: last week we get this story comes out. Ruger Ruger
[13:50] Speaker 2: Firearms headquartered in Southport, Connecticut, founded in nineteen forty nine
[13:55] Speaker 2: by William Bannerman Ruger W. William B. Ruger and Alexander
[14:01] Speaker 2: Stern was Sturm Ruger. Of course, they they're leaving. They're
[14:08] Speaker 2: leaving Connecticut. They're moving their headquarters to Mayo Dane, North Carolina,
[14:13] Speaker 2: where they've had a factory in a presence for some
[14:16] Speaker 2: time now. Ruger has factories all over the country. Actually,
[14:22] Speaker 2: I was surprised at this one. Honestly. They've been in
[14:27] Speaker 2: Connecticut from the found founding, from the beginning, and yet
[14:32] Speaker 2: maybe I shouldn't have been because Connecticut has to become
[14:36] Speaker 2: rapidly antisecond Amendment viciously. I mean to the point of
[14:42] Speaker 2: saying that they're going to ban glocks, and everything's like
[14:44] Speaker 2: a glock, including the Ruger rx M. We'll see how
[14:50] Speaker 2: that goes in the courts. But I guess they probably
[14:54] Speaker 2: just got to the point where the political political environment
[14:58] Speaker 2: was just so ugly that they couldn't stay there. Ruber
[15:03] Speaker 2: has plants in Newport, New Hampshire, Prescott, Arizona, Earth City, Missouri,
[15:08] Speaker 2: and hebron Kentucky. Of course, North Carolina is a good state.
[15:15] Speaker 2: It doesn't have permitless carry, it's not perfect. Who knows,
[15:19] Speaker 2: maybe the Ruger influence can make a difference there as well.
[15:23] Speaker 2: So that's kind of interesting. We have seen a number
[15:27] Speaker 2: of gun companies move, Smith and Wesson moving down to
[15:30] Speaker 2: Tennessee from Massachusetts. Some other companies have moved, like Bagpull
[15:36] Speaker 2: moved several years ago. And it's interesting because the governors
[15:43] Speaker 2: or the legislature whoever it is a lot of himself,
[15:45] Speaker 2: say well, they're not going to move. It costs them
[15:47] Speaker 2: too much to move. They've been they realized well no,
[15:49] Speaker 2: actually they just left. And then of course they come
[15:52] Speaker 2: back and say, well that's fine, goodbye. Who cares? Well,
[15:56] Speaker 2: they do care because they've took a lot of jobs
[15:57] Speaker 2: with them, but weirdly enough, their agenda, their narrative, is
[16:05] Speaker 2: more important to them than having people have good paying
[16:09] Speaker 2: jobs in their state. So that's what's going on with Ruger.
[16:14] Speaker 2: All right. So I did two things the last couple
[16:18] Speaker 2: of weeks that I'm able to connect to my mind
[16:22] Speaker 2: and wouldn't seem like they're connected. Maybe. I did the
[16:29] Speaker 2: two fifty class, the Jeff Cooper Commemorative two fifty class
[16:33] Speaker 2: at Gunsight. It's five days of fire's instruction. And then
[16:38] Speaker 2: this week I did three days of training where I
[16:42] Speaker 2: was the student doing backcountry flying here in Idaho, that
[16:48] Speaker 2: is flying in the mountains, through the canyons, landing at
[16:52] Speaker 2: little bitty air strips out in the middle of nowhere,
[16:54] Speaker 2: little gravel strips where there are no roads, and trying
[16:58] Speaker 2: to figure out how do you get into here? How
[17:00] Speaker 2: do you fly through this river? How do you fly?
[17:02] Speaker 2: I mean it's like a Star Wars approach, flying through
[17:05] Speaker 2: a canyon through almost like a tunnel, and getting some
[17:08] Speaker 2: good instruction and in the process. I mean, I loved it. It
[17:12] Speaker 2: was great fun because I love flying. It's like my
[17:16] Speaker 2: other turning money into noise activity guns and airplanes. I
[17:21] Speaker 2: don't do boats. I've done a lot of boats. I
[17:23] Speaker 2: grew up in boats. I have the best boats in
[17:26] Speaker 2: the world right now. My friends have boats, and they
[17:30] Speaker 2: say that we don't run our boats enough. You know
[17:32] Speaker 2: where the keys are. Just take our boats anytime you want. Okay, cool,
[17:35] Speaker 2: don't work. It's kind of like other people's ammo. Other
[17:38] Speaker 2: people's boats works really well for me too, so I
[17:40] Speaker 2: get to do that. But yeah, I fly old airplanes.
[17:44] Speaker 2: As I tell people, I drive old cars so that
[17:47] Speaker 2: I can fly an old airplane. That's fine. But the
[17:55] Speaker 2: risk analysis was similar between the guns and the airplanes
[18:01] Speaker 2: of doing things to say Okay, I know that I
[18:05] Speaker 2: recognize the danger here. When you are flying in the
[18:08] Speaker 2: back country, you got nothing but rocks and trees under you,
[18:11] Speaker 2: and some places there's no good place to put a
[18:13] Speaker 2: plane down if you had to. You are mitigating risks.
[18:19] Speaker 2: I was thinking about that round I had where I
[18:22] Speaker 2: had the reversed primer that cost me to shoot off.
[18:26] Speaker 2: I am going to say it cost me to shoot off.
[18:30] Speaker 2: In my mind, I can say, well, I was going
[18:31] Speaker 2: to win that. Now I may not want it, but
[18:33] Speaker 2: that's okay. I can blame it on the primer, right.
[18:36] Speaker 2: But you know, think about this. Inspecting your AMMO every
[18:41] Speaker 2: single round that you use for self defense or for
[18:44] Speaker 2: competition is not unlike doing a pre flight on an airplane.
[18:50] Speaker 2: You walk around, you check it, You check the oil,
[18:52] Speaker 2: and you check the gas. You check all the important
[18:54] Speaker 2: stuff because this is important and in the case of
[18:58] Speaker 2: a self defense gun or an airplane, you could end
[19:01] Speaker 2: up dead if you do it wrong. Okay, this is
[19:04] Speaker 2: really important. That's why we have procedures. That's why we
[19:08] Speaker 2: have checklist, That's why we have certain way that we
[19:12] Speaker 2: draw the gun. That's why we have a certain way
[19:14] Speaker 2: that we put the gun back into the holster. We
[19:16] Speaker 2: have a certain way that we move that we when
[19:19] Speaker 2: we shoot, we stay on the site. Just in aviation,
[19:25] Speaker 2: I've heard it said a lot, and we have a
[19:26] Speaker 2: lot of regulations they call they're called the faars, the
[19:29] Speaker 2: Federal Aviation Regulations. And people have said, look, all the
[19:35] Speaker 2: fairs are written in blood because they are a result
[19:39] Speaker 2: of accidents. And we figured out what happened, and we
[19:42] Speaker 2: came up with a regulation to try to address that.
[19:48] Speaker 2: And in a way we think about the what we
[19:50] Speaker 2: do with guns and self defense guns. A lot of
[19:54] Speaker 2: the procedures that we use if you go get good
[19:58] Speaker 2: trading are the same thing. They are a result of
[20:03] Speaker 2: examining what worked and what didn't, what went wrong? How
[20:06] Speaker 2: do we address that? How can we be better at this?
[20:11] Speaker 2: It's just I don't know. I find the parallels very interesting.
[20:16] Speaker 2: So it's a lot of his mindset and we talk
[20:23] Speaker 2: about that affair amount. It's like getting your head right.
[20:26] Speaker 2: Getting your head right is trying to avoid the situation.
[20:29] Speaker 2: You know what, do we say the best way to
[20:31] Speaker 2: win a gunfight is to not be there? Just how
[20:34] Speaker 2: about just don't be there when this thing goes down?
[20:38] Speaker 2: And how do you achieve that way? You ramp up
[20:40] Speaker 2: your awareness, you're looking around. We talked about having that
[20:45] Speaker 2: code word. We've talked about that on the show here
[20:47] Speaker 2: for years for your family of you have this word,
[20:50] Speaker 2: the one that one of the instructors said, he said,
[20:52] Speaker 2: our family word came up with. He said, I'll let
[20:55] Speaker 2: the kids choose it. It was a broken arrow. Something
[20:58] Speaker 2: that's not going to come up in a conversation. If
[21:01] Speaker 2: one of the members of our family says, broken arrow,
[21:03] Speaker 2: we need to go to the parking lot right now,
[21:05] Speaker 2: Nobody says, why, what's going on? What are you talking about?
[21:09] Speaker 2: What are you? Nope, yes, put down your fork, let's
[21:13] Speaker 2: go stand up or walking out the door right now.
[21:15] Speaker 2: We'll discuss it once we get out there. But we
[21:17] Speaker 2: got to go broken arrow that we need to go
[21:21] Speaker 2: to the car right now. Okay? Cool. It buys time
[21:29] Speaker 2: in the ten seconds or thirty seconds, it buys you,
[21:33] Speaker 2: maybe enough to get you away from whatever it is
[21:35] Speaker 2: that's going down. And maybe there's nothing going down. Maybe
[21:38] Speaker 2: you just saw something that looked a little weird and
[21:41] Speaker 2: funky going. I don't like that. I don't know what's
[21:44] Speaker 2: going on over there. I don't want to be here
[21:47] Speaker 2: when this thing gets sorted out, and maybe you come
[21:50] Speaker 2: back in two minutes and it's not a thing at all.
[21:54] Speaker 2: But it's a part of the mindset of being aware.
[21:59] Speaker 2: Not staring at your phone when you're walking through a
[22:03] Speaker 2: parking lot. For heaven's sakes, if you have to do
[22:08] Speaker 2: something on your phone somewhere, back up and put your
[22:12] Speaker 2: walk You're back against a wall, so people can't sneak
[22:16] Speaker 2: up behind you while you're staring at this thing in
[22:19] Speaker 2: front of you. It's like, well, I never would have
[22:23] Speaker 2: thought of that. Yes, I know, that's why we talk
[22:25] Speaker 2: about it here. What are the things you do? What
[22:28] Speaker 2: do you do to say, Okay, I'm going to be
[22:29] Speaker 2: a little bit more aware. Something you do when you're
[22:32] Speaker 2: driving in traffic, Something you do when you're crossing the
[22:35] Speaker 2: street or in a parking lot or some other place.
[22:37] Speaker 2: I know you have things that you do. What do
[22:39] Speaker 2: you do and what do you tell your family? Give
[22:41] Speaker 2: me a holler at eight six six talk Gun or
[22:44] Speaker 2: Tom Talk Gun check us out over on X. I
[22:47] Speaker 2: am Gun Talk there at gun Talk. We'll be right back.
[22:55] Speaker 2: You know, it doesn't really matter if you want to
[22:57] Speaker 2: talk about handguns or rifles or shotgun. We'll talk about
[23:00] Speaker 2: all of those are ways to store your guns safely.
[23:04] Speaker 2: They're available to you for self defense, but still secure
[23:08] Speaker 2: against somebody else. Get in the hold of it. Basically,
[23:12] Speaker 2: we'll talk about pretty much anything. Give me a Hollo
[23:13] Speaker 2: eight sixty six talk gun. If you got a thought
[23:15] Speaker 2: on that, our question, how you want to proceed, we'll
[23:18] Speaker 2: help you out there. Let's see. Paul called in from Nampa,
[23:21] Speaker 2: Idaho online too. Hey Paul, you're on gun Talk. What's up?
[23:26] Speaker 12: Hey, Good afternoon, Tom. Great Memorial Day weekend going on here? Hey,
[23:31] Speaker 12: I got a rain report for a I carried three
[23:36] Speaker 12: to eighty and I used to carry a Versa because
[23:41] Speaker 12: I could afford it. And I walked into a gun
[23:44] Speaker 12: show the other gun show, gunshop the other day, and
[23:49] Speaker 12: in the case was a Barretta eighty five bb OH
[23:56] Speaker 12: with blue scale slide and a luminum frame. And it's
[24:01] Speaker 12: just a single stack, but I kind of like that because, uh,
[24:05] Speaker 12: a little slimmer profile. But I've got big hands, so
[24:10] Speaker 12: frame put my hand and the thing shoots really well.
[24:15] Speaker 12: I like it considerably more than the than the Versa, triggers, nice,
[24:20] Speaker 12: et cetera.
[24:22] Speaker 2: Well, Yeahretta, it's it's double action, single action, right. The
[24:27] Speaker 2: Asa correct. Correct? Did you have any trouble with the
[24:34] Speaker 2: transition between that heavy first double action pole and then
[24:37] Speaker 2: the next one being a single action pole?
[24:41] Speaker 12: Uh?
[24:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[24:45] Speaker 12: On the Bursa, yeah, you know, I don't want to
[24:47] Speaker 12: I want to rain on their parade. But compared to
[24:50] Speaker 12: the Barretta, it was like night and day.
[24:54] Speaker 2: Well yeah, I mean you look at it now. I
[24:57] Speaker 2: know you bought the Barretta used, but if you looked
[24:59] Speaker 2: at the the retail price is probably two or three
[25:02] Speaker 2: times the cost of the Bursa.
[25:06] Speaker 12: Uh yeah. I actually bought it at at Cabella's and
[25:12] Speaker 12: uh you know, I dropped my wife off across the
[25:14] Speaker 12: street to go shopping, and I went shopping in burt
[25:17] Speaker 12: Oh so you used huh yeah. So I was not
[25:22] Speaker 12: expecting to uh buy again, but walked into their library
[25:26] Speaker 12: and there they were. I'd never actually seen one before.
[25:30] Speaker 12: I go, that's a good looking little pistol.
[25:34] Speaker 2: And uh well, I can just tell you that it's
[25:38] Speaker 2: that's never happened to me, and that I walked into
[25:41] Speaker 2: a store and ended up buying a gun I didn't
[25:43] Speaker 2: expect to buy. I can't imagine how that would happen
[25:46] Speaker 2: to anybody.
[25:47] Speaker 12: Yeah, well, that the bonus. The bonus was they took
[25:51] Speaker 12: took the bursa on trade. So oh wow there with
[25:56] Speaker 12: a nice.
[25:57] Speaker 2: Little Now that that is a nice pistol. And yeah,
[26:00] Speaker 2: with today's modern three eighty defensive, ammo, it's just fine.
[26:04] Speaker 2: You got to check yourself. A nice pistol there, Wait
[26:07] Speaker 2: to go, paula good ranger Port. Thank you for the call, sir.
[26:10] Speaker 2: Let's grab James online one out of Texas. Hey James,
[26:14] Speaker 2: you're on gun Talk. What's going on here?
[26:17] Speaker 4: Oh Timmy, your friends might need to look out for
[26:21] Speaker 4: a former congressman, former anti gun Congressman Swalwell who had
[26:25] Speaker 4: to resign due.
[26:26] Speaker 12: To sexual assault charges.
[26:28] Speaker 4: In Yes, speakers at the Brady Action Awards in twenty
[26:32] Speaker 4: twenty four, big fundraiser for them. It was on YouTube,
[26:37] Speaker 4: but they took it down. I have heard that it's
[26:41] Speaker 4: supposedly a film clip of Swallwell with a woman who
[26:44] Speaker 4: accused him of sexually assaulting her right after this event.
[26:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting how some of the politicians will go
[26:54] Speaker 2: be a speaker at or appear with the gun band groups,
[26:58] Speaker 2: but then they want to basically erase all of the
[27:01] Speaker 2: evidence of that because they want to claim that they
[27:05] Speaker 2: are a moderate in the middle of the road or
[27:07] Speaker 2: the whole. Well, I support the Second Amendment, but they
[27:11] Speaker 2: always know the butt in, you know, but actually do
[27:14] Speaker 2: want to take your guns away, which is a weird
[27:16] Speaker 2: kind of way to support the Second Amendment. But no,
[27:18] Speaker 2: you're you're exactly right. I mean you have slime balls
[27:22] Speaker 2: like Swallwell and and others. I mean, you got well
[27:26] Speaker 2: right now in Virginia, the governor, she was a volunteer
[27:30] Speaker 2: and activist for the anti gun lobby, and how she
[27:34] Speaker 2: is the governor after proclaiming herself to be a moderate
[27:37] Speaker 2: and not at all against the Second Amendment, and of
[27:39] Speaker 2: course now she's still pushing for it and just signed
[27:42] Speaker 2: gun bands in Virginia. So yeah, no, you make an
[27:45] Speaker 2: excellent point. You got to keep an eye on these
[27:47] Speaker 2: folks and watch what they do, not what they say,
[27:50] Speaker 2: and if they're getting money from the gun band lobby,
[27:53] Speaker 2: and if they are particularly like guest speakers that these
[27:56] Speaker 2: places are, they're volunteers their gun banners. No matter what
[27:59] Speaker 2: they say, they'll say, yeah, I don't really no, no, no,
[28:01] Speaker 2: no no. If you're aligned with those folks, you're a
[28:04] Speaker 2: gun banner. Great call, sir. I appreciate the heads up
[28:06] Speaker 2: on that. Let's go to hell and online five out
[28:09] Speaker 2: of North Dakota. Hey, how you're on gun Talk? What's up?
[28:12] Speaker 13: Yeah? Yeah, I've been listening to your show for a while,
[28:15] Speaker 13: and I've been hearing all this talk about magazine capacity
[28:20] Speaker 13: and silent thurs and all that. It reminded me of
[28:25] Speaker 13: when I was a kid in our hardware store, must
[28:29] Speaker 13: have been about forty eight forty nine around and there
[28:35] Speaker 13: when this pastor brought it a four ten Stevens pistol
[28:40] Speaker 13: into our hardware store, and he told my dad he's
[28:45] Speaker 13: feeling more like a criminal every day because because he
[28:49] Speaker 13: owned this little garden gun for cottontails and gophers in
[28:54] Speaker 13: his garden. And my dad as much as told him,
[28:58] Speaker 13: when you don't don't feel alone, the sort of the
[29:02] Speaker 13: guys that got marble game getters, or the guys that
[29:06] Speaker 13: happened to sot their shotgun barrels, or the guys that
[29:11] Speaker 13: just had returned from Germany with an automatic pistol in
[29:16] Speaker 13: their sea bag, or even his uncle had a spand
[29:20] Speaker 13: out machine gun from World War One hanging over his
[29:25] Speaker 13: his mantle as a reminder of the war. So, uh,
[29:31] Speaker 13: I think we don't want to lose sight of the
[29:33] Speaker 13: fact that the Second Amendment has has really nothing to
[29:38] Speaker 13: do with hunting or target shooting or even even personal defense.
[29:44] Speaker 13: It has to do with preventing government tyranny. Who get
[29:49] Speaker 13: another guy like Paul Potter Hitler or malech he Tongue.
[29:56] Speaker 2: That's that's why they put it into the constitution. They
[29:59] Speaker 2: just fought this war of independence and the British had
[30:02] Speaker 2: come to take their guns. That's how the Revolutionary War started,
[30:06] Speaker 2: and they said, we're going to make sure we put
[30:07] Speaker 2: this in there that if we end up with a
[30:09] Speaker 2: tyrannical government, the people will have the arms they need,
[30:15] Speaker 2: not necessarily firearms, at arms, which includes a lot of
[30:17] Speaker 2: different things to be able to resist this kind of tyranny.
[30:20] Speaker 2: So you're you're right on the money, You're exactly right.
[30:23] Speaker 2: Good call, Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. And of
[30:27] Speaker 2: course the Supreme Court in Heller does say that, yes,
[30:32] Speaker 2: the Second Amendment is about fighting tyranny, but it's also
[30:36] Speaker 2: for self defense. So they've included that that's been incorporated
[30:40] Speaker 2: into what the Supreme Court supports. That unfortunately has been
[30:45] Speaker 2: twisted and I wouldn't say misinterpreted, but that's not right,
[30:50] Speaker 2: misstated basically lied about from a number of states. You say, well,
[30:54] Speaker 2: you know, the Supreme Court said that, you know, you
[30:57] Speaker 2: can't ban guns that are in common use for self defense.
[31:01] Speaker 2: I'm sorry, that is not what the Supreme Court said
[31:06] Speaker 2: in Heller. What they said was you cannot ban guns
[31:11] Speaker 2: that are in common use for lawful purposes. And then
[31:17] Speaker 2: they added, such as for self defense. That was a
[31:23] Speaker 2: here's an example of common use for lawful purposes. So
[31:29] Speaker 2: self defense would be a lawful purpose. There would be
[31:32] Speaker 2: a number of other lawful purposes. But at no point
[31:35] Speaker 2: did the Supreme Court ever say that you can't ban
[31:37] Speaker 2: guns that are in common use for self defense. And
[31:40] Speaker 2: yet that is what's in the briefs of the gun
[31:43] Speaker 2: banners before the federal courts across the country. They misquote purposely,
[31:51] Speaker 2: they misquote the Supreme Court in this decision, and some
[31:56] Speaker 2: of the courts are actually letting them get away with it,
[31:58] Speaker 2: and they're supporting this not misinterpretation, because that would be
[32:02] Speaker 2: like saying, well, I don't quite understand they understand exactly.
[32:07] Speaker 2: They're lying about what the Supreme Court said. And some
[32:10] Speaker 2: of these judges in these district courts and even judges
[32:14] Speaker 2: sitting on federal appellate courts are buying into the hoax.
[32:21] Speaker 2: They're buying into the line saying, oh, yeah, you the
[32:25] Speaker 2: Supreme courts are the right of the Second Amendment only
[32:29] Speaker 2: says that you can't ban guns that are in common
[32:32] Speaker 2: use for self defense. Nope, nope, nope, nope, that's not
[32:34] Speaker 2: what Supreme Court said. So just you got to be
[32:37] Speaker 2: alert and awared about that kind of stuff. All right,
[32:42] Speaker 2: let's go, let's see. I think we've got time you.
[32:44] Speaker 2: Let's grab Dennis online one out of Arkansas. Hey Dennis,
[32:48] Speaker 2: you're on Gun Talk?
[32:50] Speaker 14: Hi, Tom, how are you doing.
[32:53] Speaker 2: I'm great?
[32:53] Speaker 14: What's that? Glad to get a chance to talk to
[32:56] Speaker 14: you about the gut twenty five. I own, okay, some
[33:03] Speaker 14: stup of a hand injury on my shooting hand. And
[33:07] Speaker 14: I've heard of one of the shows that you'd mentioned,
[33:10] Speaker 14: only uh we called uction device you would want to
[33:14] Speaker 14: put on that was I don't remember if you said
[33:18] Speaker 14: a muggle brake or a compensator, and you should please
[33:22] Speaker 14: do not put this on there, but instead use this.
[33:27] Speaker 2: I am not remembering that. I would definitely not put
[33:32] Speaker 2: any kind of compensator or recoid reducer on that g
[33:35] Speaker 2: T twenty five pistol. It's just not something I would do.
[33:41] Speaker 2: I would see how bad is the injury and what
[33:44] Speaker 2: do you what? Can you shoot.
[33:48] Speaker 4: My? Uh?
[33:50] Speaker 6: Eight?
[33:52] Speaker 14: Okay, too much shame.
[33:54] Speaker 2: But well that's interesting because I was going to say, well,
[33:57] Speaker 2: why don't we gear down to a three eighty and
[34:00] Speaker 2: have you shoot that? And look, not everybody can shoot
[34:03] Speaker 2: a ten And maybe is the injury gonna heal to
[34:06] Speaker 2: where you'll be able to get back and shooting at
[34:08] Speaker 2: ten at some point?
[34:09] Speaker 14: Do you think I'm working on that and going through
[34:13] Speaker 14: I can take some therasis for that. But this is
[34:15] Speaker 14: my gun. Sorry, when I go out.
[34:18] Speaker 2: Oh it's your bear gun?
[34:21] Speaker 14: Yeah? And there's more. Yeah?
[34:26] Speaker 2: Can I suggest have you tried shooting the GT twenty five,
[34:31] Speaker 2: the ten milimeter pistol with your hands?
[34:34] Speaker 14: Now?
[34:34] Speaker 2: Can you shoot it one time?
[34:38] Speaker 14: Yeah?
[34:40] Speaker 2: Okay, okay, if you can shoot it one time, you
[34:44] Speaker 2: can shoot it ten times, because trust me, when mister
[34:47] Speaker 2: bear wants to crawl all over you, you will shoot
[34:50] Speaker 2: it ten times and never worry about that it hurts
[34:53] Speaker 2: your hand. You won't even notice it.
[34:57] Speaker 14: Okay.
[35:00] Speaker 2: I wouldn't go out and practice with it, but you
[35:02] Speaker 2: already know how to shoot it. I would carry that. Now, yeah,
[35:05] Speaker 2: you can get some lighter loads, which will you know,
[35:08] Speaker 2: probably be just fine because you're looking at black bears there.
[35:11] Speaker 2: You don't have grizzlies, So I would probably be maybe
[35:15] Speaker 2: think about a little bit lighter load, but I would
[35:18] Speaker 2: carry that ten and just understand that you will be
[35:21] Speaker 2: fully adrenalized if you need to shoot a bear in
[35:25] Speaker 2: self defense, because he's going to be close and you're
[35:28] Speaker 2: going to be giving him everything you can. At the
[35:30] Speaker 2: end of it, you won't know how many rounds you shot,
[35:33] Speaker 2: and you won't even feel it in your hands. Maybe
[35:35] Speaker 2: the next day you will, but you'll be able to
[35:37] Speaker 2: do what you need to do. So I would practice
[35:40] Speaker 2: with the three eighty and carry the ten. We'll say,
[35:45] Speaker 2: all right, good deal. I think it's gonna work out fine.
[35:47] Speaker 2: It's funny. I appreciate the call. Funny you mentioned that
[35:50] Speaker 2: I've just for the last three days when I was
[35:52] Speaker 2: flying in the back country, I was carrying my GT.
[35:54] Speaker 2: Twenty five pistol. That's that special gun we had a
[35:57] Speaker 2: short run made of with Ruger out of the customs
[35:59] Speaker 2: show up. It's a commander sized nineteen eleven steel frame
[36:03] Speaker 2: shooting the ten milimeter auto cartridge, and I was carrying that,
[36:07] Speaker 2: and I'm outside the way, spent holster. Just wear to
[36:10] Speaker 2: vest for concealment, you know, Look, is the ten the
[36:15] Speaker 2: best thing for a bear? No, it's not. All handguns
[36:20] Speaker 2: are a compromise when it comes to bear protection. If
[36:22] Speaker 2: I really wanted to have a gun to protect myself
[36:25] Speaker 2: against bears, I'd carried a three seventy five EH and
[36:27] Speaker 2: H rifle, great big sucker, But that's cumbersome, and so
[36:33] Speaker 2: we got to find a compromise somewhere between that and
[36:35] Speaker 2: not carrying anything, and so the handgun works. A three
[36:38] Speaker 2: fifty seven I've carried those. I would carry a three
[36:42] Speaker 2: fifty seven, a ten, a forty one, or a forty
[36:44] Speaker 2: four magnum. That's kind of where I would be. Probably
[36:48] Speaker 2: not a four fifty four casole I have one, Probably not,
[36:54] Speaker 2: just because I don't think I can do follow up
[36:56] Speaker 2: shots very quickly with that. There's just too much recoil.
[37:00] Speaker 2: I would add in a forty five Colt with the
[37:03] Speaker 2: right loads. A good forty five colt with good hard
[37:06] Speaker 2: casts lead bullets, you get great penetration in a big,
[37:09] Speaker 2: old frontal area, there would work. I do have five
[37:15] Speaker 2: hundred Smith and Wesson revolver, too much recoil for follow
[37:23] Speaker 2: up shots, for quick follow up shots, and so again compromises. Look,
[37:28] Speaker 2: if you can shoot one of those and shoot it
[37:30] Speaker 2: fast and accurately and have to be accurate because you
[37:33] Speaker 2: can't miss fast enough to stop, charge more power to you.
[37:40] Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I can't, and I shoot a lot.
[37:44] Speaker 2: I'm going to be shooting more. By the way. Oh
[37:47] Speaker 2: tip for you, if you are a watcher of YouTube
[37:50] Speaker 2: videos I'm shooting, be aware that some of these folks
[37:55] Speaker 2: are shooting at lightning speed. They're using a few tricks
[37:59] Speaker 2: that may not apply to you, so don't feel bad
[38:02] Speaker 2: about yourself. Tricks like I was watching and look, Max
[38:05] Speaker 2: Michelle is the real deal. He's a really good shooter.
[38:07] Speaker 2: But I was watching him do a string, shooting really fast,
[38:10] Speaker 2: and the empty brass is barely coming out of the gun.
[38:14] Speaker 2: I mean it's just barely clearing the ejection port. Now
[38:16] Speaker 2: I'm looking at it and thinking, man, that has some
[38:18] Speaker 2: light loads and there's almost no recoil. So he's shooting
[38:22] Speaker 2: really light loads, just enough power to make the gun function,
[38:27] Speaker 2: which is fine. Look, he's there to shoot fast and
[38:29] Speaker 2: hit targets. I get it. There's nothing wrong with that.
[38:31] Speaker 2: It's not cheating, it's just doing what you got to do.
[38:35] Speaker 2: All On the other hand, there are other people, and
[38:37] Speaker 2: Max is not one of these people, who will shoot
[38:40] Speaker 2: their fast draws and fast splits and everything else, and
[38:44] Speaker 2: you may not be aware unless you look at it carefully,
[38:48] Speaker 2: that they're speeding up the video. Yes, that is taking place.
[38:54] Speaker 2: So there are YouTube videos out there people with lightning
[38:56] Speaker 2: fast shooting and great splits and super times. If they're
[39:01] Speaker 2: not showing you the targets, and they're not showing you
[39:03] Speaker 2: where they placed in the match and who they beat
[39:06] Speaker 2: and how many people were competing, there's a possibility just
[39:11] Speaker 2: saying watch out for it. If you're watching videos, say,
[39:15] Speaker 2: were the targets falling faster than they should steal targets
[39:19] Speaker 2: or the brass cases flying faster than they shoot out
[39:22] Speaker 2: of the gun. Did they speed up the video a
[39:25] Speaker 2: little bit there just to make them look a little faster.
[39:29] Speaker 2: I'm sure that no one's ever done. Yeah, of course
[39:33] Speaker 2: they do. How Dom Grass, You'll be right back. Hey,
[39:46] Speaker 2: let's go straight to the phones. Tom's Dan Fargo, North Dakota. Tom,
[39:49] Speaker 2: Thanks for your patience. You have the floor, sir, Yes.
[39:53] Speaker 6: Sir, so talk about observing. I've talked to you before,
[39:56] Speaker 6: and I deliver stuff. And when I'm ever in a
[40:00] Speaker 6: parking lot, coming out of a store, sidewalk wherever I am,
[40:04] Speaker 6: I look and then it says, you know how it says,
[40:06] Speaker 6: And look at a stop sign twice, look again, because
[40:10] Speaker 6: then you then you'll get details. You scan over, look
[40:14] Speaker 6: again and look again. See what's hiding in the shadows,
[40:17] Speaker 6: See what's hiding behind whatever is going to pop out
[40:20] Speaker 6: between the cars. That kind of stuff.
[40:22] Speaker 2: There's a difference between looking and seeing, isn't there?
[40:26] Speaker 6: That's right? And it's just like in my car. The
[40:29] Speaker 6: rear rear view mirror on my windshield will often block
[40:34] Speaker 6: vehicles coming off exit ramps or entrance ramps rather entrance
[40:39] Speaker 6: wraps our vehicles. At stop signs, it will block it.
[40:43] Speaker 6: Look again, look around. It's the same thing. It doesn't
[40:46] Speaker 6: matter if you're in the woods, in the parking lot,
[40:48] Speaker 6: especially parking lots, parking garages, that kind of stuff. All that, yeah,
[40:54] Speaker 6: but always always I have to use I'm sorry I
[40:57] Speaker 6: have to use GPS. I don't like it, but I
[41:01] Speaker 6: don't have that thing. Talk to me versus looking at
[41:03] Speaker 6: my phone.
[41:04] Speaker 12: I'll let it.
[41:05] Speaker 6: Let it talk to me.
[41:06] Speaker 2: I really don't, right, So you can be looking at
[41:09] Speaker 2: the road and looking for obstructions and things going on
[41:13] Speaker 2: out there, and they can talk you.
[41:15] Speaker 6: Into the turns exactly, exactly brilliant.
[41:18] Speaker 2: I love it. Thank you, Tom, I appreciate that. Good stuff. Man.
[41:21] Speaker 2: Here's what I thought for you. Also when you're driving,
[41:26] Speaker 2: And I actually learned this from self defense guys who
[41:29] Speaker 2: really special forces kind of guys who do stuff. The
[41:33] Speaker 2: idea of there were two of them run the scenario,
[41:36] Speaker 2: and before they started, and the inside of a building,
[41:39] Speaker 2: one says, you look long, I'll look short. I thought,
[41:43] Speaker 2: what was that? What do you just say? Well, you
[41:45] Speaker 2: can't do both. You can't look all the way down
[41:49] Speaker 2: the end of the hallway and look short at what's
[41:51] Speaker 2: going on right around you. I thought, well, that's interesting,
[41:54] Speaker 2: So I started utilizing that. Try this just as an
[42:01] Speaker 2: when you're driving your car, think this, think look long,
[42:07] Speaker 2: look short, scan left, scan right, long, short, left right,
[42:13] Speaker 2: Drive your eyes way down the road, see what's going
[42:17] Speaker 2: on way down, and not just the car in front
[42:18] Speaker 2: of you, but a bunch of cars in front of you,
[42:22] Speaker 2: or if it's a big open stretch of road, what's
[42:24] Speaker 2: going on a half mile down the road. Is there
[42:27] Speaker 2: a critter? Is their truck? Is there something weird going on?
[42:29] Speaker 2: You see it ahead of time and then come back
[42:31] Speaker 2: and look short, see what's going on around you. But
[42:34] Speaker 2: it's a way of exercising your eyes so they don't
[42:38] Speaker 2: kind of just glaze over, get dull, looking at the
[42:40] Speaker 2: same place over and over again. You also a lot
[42:44] Speaker 2: of times see interesting things that way. But you just
[42:47] Speaker 2: as you're driving, think look long, look short, scan left
[42:50] Speaker 2: and right. Now when I say scan left and right,
[42:52] Speaker 2: I'm talking about looking to the left of the road
[42:55] Speaker 2: and to the right of the road. What's going on
[42:58] Speaker 2: over there? Is there a pedestrian, Is there a deer?
[43:01] Speaker 2: Is there a torontosaurus? Wrecks coming out? I don't know,
[43:05] Speaker 2: but you you want to be looking because if it
[43:07] Speaker 2: is a t rex, you want to be the first
[43:08] Speaker 2: one to see it. There you go. So just saying
[43:12] Speaker 2: it's a it's a way of living intentionally, of not
[43:20] Speaker 2: just going through the motions. And I will tell you
[43:25] Speaker 2: a lot of times I turn probably eighty or ninety
[43:28] Speaker 2: percent of the time when I'm driving, I don't have
[43:29] Speaker 2: a radio on because I don't I'm in no radio,
[43:33] Speaker 2: no news, no music, no nothing, because I don't want
[43:35] Speaker 2: the distraction. I want to be there, right where I am,
[43:38] Speaker 2: because I find that when I have that radio play,
[43:40] Speaker 2: I'm not really there and you'll drive for miles and
[43:43] Speaker 2: miles and miles and not even remember driving or where
[43:46] Speaker 2: you went or what you saw. I know you can
[43:49] Speaker 2: do it, we all have done it. But I'm just
[43:52] Speaker 2: throwing it out there. Maybe it's something that you want
[43:54] Speaker 2: to consider. There you go, all right. When we come back,
[43:58] Speaker 2: I want to talk about what's going on. We just
[44:00] Speaker 2: want an important second mimic case. We'll cover that and
[44:03] Speaker 2: we'll take your calls and comments here eight sixty six
[44:06] Speaker 2: talk guys. I'm Tom Gresham. Check us out over at
[44:09] Speaker 2: guntalk dot com and look for gun Talk on Facebook.
