[0:00] Speaker 1: Forged m lock Ready, and I try to Bold Carrier Group.
[0:04] Speaker 1: The Ruger Harrier is completely re engineered for today's shooter.
[0:08] Speaker 1: Innovation without compromise comes standard with the Harrier.
[0:13] Speaker 2: Upgrade your optic with Hollison, where innovation meets precision with
[0:16] Speaker 2: fifty thousand hours of battery life, shake Awake technology and
[0:20] Speaker 2: a solar failsafe. Your optic is always ready when you
[0:22] Speaker 2: are Hollison confidence in every shot.
[0:27] Speaker 3: All right, we're back with you.
[0:28] Speaker 4: You know, in the world of shooting, I like cool gear,
[0:31] Speaker 4: and sometimes you end up with these legacy companies that
[0:34] Speaker 4: don't really evolve, and then you've got some other things
[0:38] Speaker 4: that really move on fast. And joining me right now
[0:41] Speaker 4: is Adam Weatherby from obviously the Weatherby Firearms company. Adam,
[0:46] Speaker 4: you've been to CEO for what a decade or so?
[0:48] Speaker 5: Now, that's correct, Tom.
[0:50] Speaker 4: Okay, So I'll be everybody knows Weatherby, you know, all
[0:53] Speaker 4: the way back to Roy Weatherby, your grandfather ed Weatherby.
[0:56] Speaker 4: You're dad, and now you running in another third generation
[1:00] Speaker 4: company and the fire's business.
[1:02] Speaker 6: Yeah, it's pretty pretty rare these days. We're in our
[1:04] Speaker 6: eighty first year. It was nineteen forty five my grandfather
[1:06] Speaker 6: started this deal and so to be here leading the
[1:10] Speaker 6: company three generations later is quite an honor.
[1:13] Speaker 5: To say the least. It's a legacy that it's you.
[1:15] Speaker 6: Know, my dad got to do it, my granddad, and
[1:18] Speaker 6: here I am all these years later, and yeah, it's we're.
[1:21] Speaker 5: Having a blast. It's it's hard work every day, but
[1:23] Speaker 5: we're having a blast.
[1:24] Speaker 4: Well there were I mean, I look at you know,
[1:26] Speaker 4: Harnady and brown Els and Hodge Den. You got all
[1:30] Speaker 4: these third generation companies, which frankly they all tended to
[1:33] Speaker 4: start right after World War Two. And then it's this
[1:37] Speaker 4: case of you know, will it hold on? Will the
[1:39] Speaker 4: family be able hold on to it? And I got
[1:41] Speaker 4: to tell you, I mean and you know, I mean
[1:44] Speaker 4: I wrote the book about whether Be but that was
[1:46] Speaker 4: like forty years ago, and right, the weather Be Company
[1:50] Speaker 4: always made good rifles, but they were what they were.
[1:54] Speaker 4: They were a little big, little heavy, very showy, and
[1:58] Speaker 4: they were perfect for the time. But well you have
[2:00] Speaker 4: done with the company and with the products over the
[2:02] Speaker 4: last ten years is amazing and propelling it into this
[2:07] Speaker 4: new generation that everybody's looking for their guns. You just
[2:10] Speaker 4: done a great job.
[2:11] Speaker 6: It's a blast, I like to say, him doing the
[2:13] Speaker 6: same thing my grandfather did before me. He was an innovator, right, yes,
[2:17] Speaker 6: and he would take the best materials at the time
[2:19] Speaker 6: and the best people on concepts and put him into
[2:22] Speaker 6: his products, you know, and get him in the hands
[2:24] Speaker 6: of the right people.
[2:25] Speaker 5: And we're just doing the same thing today.
[2:26] Speaker 6: We just have new technology, machinery, new components, materials that
[2:31] Speaker 6: we're able to use, and so we're able to.
[2:33] Speaker 5: Build some pretty cool products now.
[2:34] Speaker 6: But it's really kind of the same premise that my
[2:37] Speaker 6: grandpa had, you know, back in the forties and fifties
[2:39] Speaker 6: when when he got started.
[2:41] Speaker 4: Yeah, it really is, because he was breaking new ground
[2:44] Speaker 4: with the cartridges and the rifles and they were the
[2:46] Speaker 4: g whiz rifles and cartridges.
[2:48] Speaker 3: Of the time.
[2:49] Speaker 4: And you're doing the same thing, I mean, and I'm
[2:51] Speaker 4: luck at One of the things I want to talk
[2:52] Speaker 4: to you about is that, you know, we both live
[2:54] Speaker 4: out here in the west where the hills are steep,
[2:56] Speaker 4: and you're walking up and down these things, and you've
[2:58] Speaker 4: got this new backcountry capra. You're just breaking new ground
[3:02] Speaker 4: when it comes to ultra ultra lightweight hunting rifles.
[3:06] Speaker 5: That's right.
[3:07] Speaker 6: We upon our moved to Wyoming here several years ago
[3:10] Speaker 6: in about twenty nineteen, we came out with our Mark
[3:12] Speaker 6: five Backcountry and we hit the five pound you know
[3:15] Speaker 6: kind of number there with our you know, carbon fiber
[3:18] Speaker 6: stocks and the different things we were doing with our
[3:19] Speaker 6: actions and titanium.
[3:21] Speaker 5: And then it was at that point we.
[3:22] Speaker 6: Said, hey, can we hit the four pound mark on
[3:25] Speaker 6: a production bolt action rifle, which would be you know,
[3:28] Speaker 6: you could hold the claim it's the lightest production bolt
[3:31] Speaker 6: action rifle on the market. And yeah, at the beginning
[3:34] Speaker 6: of this year we launched the Capra that starts in
[3:37] Speaker 6: at four pounds in that little package. And then even
[3:41] Speaker 6: in our Mark five six lug long action, it's four
[3:44] Speaker 6: point four pounds and you can get like the two
[3:47] Speaker 6: to eighty ACLEE or whether it be you know, the
[3:49] Speaker 6: six five weather be RPM and truly have some magnum
[3:52] Speaker 6: stuff in a sub four and a half pound rifle
[3:53] Speaker 6: on that setup.
[3:54] Speaker 4: And of course, now talk about magnums and new technology
[3:59] Speaker 4: with better introducing the six y five creed More plus peak.
[4:02] Speaker 4: Now you're getting more than six five p r CE
[4:05] Speaker 4: velocities out of a creed More. Now you're back to
[4:08] Speaker 4: your four pound rifle that's actually a quasi magnum.
[4:11] Speaker 5: It's pretty crazy to think about.
[4:13] Speaker 6: You know, you're pushing you know, when you talk about
[4:16] Speaker 6: terminal performance and pushing energy down range, you're out at
[4:18] Speaker 6: several hundred.
[4:19] Speaker 5: Yards with a four pound rifle. The trick is you
[4:21] Speaker 5: got to be able to shoot at tom That's the trick.
[4:23] Speaker 3: Oh, no, about that?
[4:25] Speaker 4: About that, well, toward that end, And then the first
[4:28] Speaker 4: question you get and I have been a fan of
[4:32] Speaker 4: Ultra light Arms rifles and Melvin Forbes rifle, so kind
[4:35] Speaker 4: of got all this started some thirty plus years ago,
[4:38] Speaker 4: and now you're taking it even further. But the first
[4:41] Speaker 4: question you always get is well doesn't that thing kick?
[4:43] Speaker 4: Of course, the answer is, well, yeah, physics is physics,
[4:46] Speaker 4: but if you design it well, you can really mitigate
[4:49] Speaker 4: some of that.
[4:50] Speaker 6: That's right, and that's really what we've done, and everybody
[4:54] Speaker 6: that shoots it is surprised at the you know, the
[4:58] Speaker 6: lack of recoil. Now, sure, it's still physics is physics,
[5:02] Speaker 6: like you said, but in the design of the stock,
[5:05] Speaker 6: we have the patented three D you know, printed recoil
[5:08] Speaker 6: pad that's on there, and just a number of things
[5:10] Speaker 6: we've been able you know, of course, muzzle breaks and
[5:12] Speaker 6: a lot of people are still putting suppressors on there.
[5:15] Speaker 6: It makes it, you know, a lot more tame. Probably
[5:18] Speaker 6: the bigger thing to me when I shot it wasn't
[5:20] Speaker 6: the recoil, but it's just the jump of the muzzle
[5:21] Speaker 6: because it's so dog on light. But what's interesting is
[5:24] Speaker 6: with how light it is and coming threaded, you can
[5:28] Speaker 6: actually our smallest one is seventeen inch barrel.
[5:31] Speaker 5: For the real small short action.
[5:32] Speaker 6: Say if you got that sixty five creed more, it's
[5:34] Speaker 6: twenty one inches up with those you know, our long
[5:38] Speaker 6: action Magnum stuff.
[5:40] Speaker 5: But at that shorter length, it kind.
[5:43] Speaker 6: Of you can afford to put a suppressor on there,
[5:46] Speaker 6: and then it really balances it.
[5:47] Speaker 5: Well, your overall setup is still.
[5:49] Speaker 6: Really light, and it's you know, it's really tame and
[5:52] Speaker 6: mild recoil that way, and it helps with the muzzle
[5:54] Speaker 6: jump as well well.
[5:55] Speaker 4: And with the titanium suppressures we have. Now you're not
[5:58] Speaker 4: adding all that much weight and you are holding down
[6:01] Speaker 4: that muscle rise and you actually and I know you
[6:05] Speaker 4: you're a serious hunter. You go places and do things
[6:07] Speaker 4: and do this extreme hunting. Do you use the suppressor
[6:10] Speaker 4: a good bit?
[6:11] Speaker 7: Now?
[6:12] Speaker 5: You know what I am?
[6:12] Speaker 6: More and more I held off a long time, Tom,
[6:14] Speaker 6: because I wanted something, you know, kind of just slim
[6:17] Speaker 6: and something not sticking out there and all those things.
[6:20] Speaker 6: But the more I've used it had success with it.
[6:24] Speaker 6: You know, there's just a number of reasons. You know,
[6:26] Speaker 6: obviously the hearing. You know, you talk to most guys
[6:29] Speaker 6: my dad's age that have hunted and shot their whole life.
[6:31] Speaker 6: They got to yell across the room, right because I
[6:33] Speaker 6: didn't you grow up hunting with suppressors. So there's a
[6:36] Speaker 6: lot of reasons, even just follow up shots not scaring
[6:39] Speaker 6: away other game. You know, there's just if you have
[6:41] Speaker 6: two hunters. Sometimes I'll hunt and my wife's hunting too,
[6:44] Speaker 6: and heck I can shoot a buck and the others
[6:46] Speaker 6: don't run far away. There's so many advantages. I am
[6:49] Speaker 6: doing it more now with a lot of the like
[6:51] Speaker 6: you said, titanium and these lighter weight suppressors. I find
[6:54] Speaker 6: myself doing it what I have a hard time doing
[6:57] Speaker 6: if it's a you know, especially whether be magnus cutting
[7:00] Speaker 6: back too much barrel length and sacrifice and velocity, because
[7:03] Speaker 6: that's how our company was founded, so you know, so
[7:06] Speaker 6: I like to get a little bit of both if
[7:07] Speaker 6: you can while you're out there.
[7:08] Speaker 4: Yeah, but now you kind of got the best of
[7:11] Speaker 4: all worlds because you've got your RPM cartridges, fast twist barrels.
[7:15] Speaker 4: You can use a high BC bullet and when you
[7:17] Speaker 4: start running the numbers. I know you guys have done
[7:19] Speaker 4: all this, but for everybody else, when you're using a
[7:22] Speaker 4: high BC bullet, you can actually start it off a
[7:25] Speaker 4: couple hundred feet slower, and once you get past about
[7:28] Speaker 4: three fifty to four hundred yards, it's actually going faster
[7:32] Speaker 4: than the faster bullet was.
[7:34] Speaker 5: That's right, it'll pass it up.
[7:36] Speaker 3: It's really quite amazing. It's I call a magic bullet.
[7:39] Speaker 4: So it's amazing what happens when you have real high
[7:42] Speaker 4: numbers on your BC.
[7:43] Speaker 5: That's right.
[7:44] Speaker 6: And we're real big on you know, ethical hunting and
[7:47] Speaker 6: having enough you know, energy down range, and so.
[7:51] Speaker 5: We try to look at those numbers.
[7:52] Speaker 6: People think, well, just because I can hit steel at
[7:54] Speaker 6: a thousand yards doesn't mean I should go hunting out
[7:56] Speaker 6: that far with that gun. And so it's figuring out,
[7:59] Speaker 6: you know, what your minimum velocity and energy is, you know,
[8:03] Speaker 6: kind of the standard might be twelve hundred foot pounds
[8:05] Speaker 6: of energy in eighteen hundred fps whatever. Those numbers are
[8:09] Speaker 6: to know them and respect them and make sure you
[8:11] Speaker 6: can consistently shoot vitals at that range and different things
[8:15] Speaker 6: like that. But if you can, it certainly does extend
[8:16] Speaker 6: your range.
[8:17] Speaker 4: What's the process, whether it be when you come up
[8:21] Speaker 4: with this idea?
[8:22] Speaker 3: I mean, who comes up with it? How does it move?
[8:25] Speaker 3: How do you guys come up with these things?
[8:27] Speaker 5: Sure?
[8:28] Speaker 6: I mean that's the fun of it. People often ask
[8:30] Speaker 6: what favorite part of my job is? There's a lot
[8:32] Speaker 6: of least favorite parts.
[8:33] Speaker 5: Right.
[8:33] Speaker 6: Running a business is not for the faint of heart,
[8:35] Speaker 6: and it's running a gun manufacturing business certainly is.
[8:38] Speaker 5: And it's hard. It's hard work.
[8:40] Speaker 6: But when you can get together in a group someone
[8:43] Speaker 6: like the Capra, that might be mine, right, a project
[8:46] Speaker 6: like that, you know, me being kind of a backcountry
[8:49] Speaker 6: hunter and those things, it's hitting those numbers. It might
[8:51] Speaker 6: initially be mine, but then it really forms into a team.
[8:54] Speaker 6: Now sometimes it's other people on the product team or whomever.
[8:57] Speaker 6: And you come up with these ideas and you move forward.
[9:01] Speaker 6: But what's neat is all the teams and people that
[9:04] Speaker 6: are there, from your product management team to obviously engineering.
[9:08] Speaker 6: Marketing's got to launch it, production's got to build it.
[9:10] Speaker 6: Quality has got to be checking it. You have to
[9:12] Speaker 6: have suppliers, machinings out there. It's everybody, and so it's
[9:16] Speaker 6: so neat. Or you know, you're developing a new cartridge
[9:19] Speaker 6: and I'm working with our ballisticians and all go on
[9:21] Speaker 6: a hunt and come back and meet with them, and
[9:23] Speaker 6: it's a lot of iterations back and forth before you
[9:26] Speaker 6: finally launch that product product and when you do, and
[9:28] Speaker 6: it's launched day and there's marketing videos and everybody's writing
[9:32] Speaker 6: about it.
[9:33] Speaker 5: Whether it's good, orbout online. It's out there and it's public.
[9:35] Speaker 6: It's really a sense of pride that we all have,
[9:38] Speaker 6: I think as employees here in Sheridan, Wyoming, as a
[9:41] Speaker 6: team to say, man, we all had kind of a
[9:43] Speaker 6: kind of.
[9:43] Speaker 5: A piece of it.
[9:44] Speaker 6: So it truly is a whole team process from start
[9:49] Speaker 6: to finish.
[9:49] Speaker 5: And that's that's what's fun about it. Now.
[9:52] Speaker 6: The ball can get dropped here and there, and I
[9:53] Speaker 6: mean there's a lot of work to be done in
[9:55] Speaker 6: there to make sure you cross your t's and dot
[9:57] Speaker 6: your eyes.
[9:57] Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, that's that's why
[10:00] Speaker 5: we all show up to work.
[10:01] Speaker 4: Well and you've done some really innovative things in Ammo
[10:04] Speaker 4: and obviously the rifles. And I got an idea for you.
[10:07] Speaker 4: It's going to sound like a terrible idea, but it's
[10:09] Speaker 4: gonna be worthwhile if you make like three of its guns. Okay,
[10:13] Speaker 4: you take you take the Capra and then you go.
[10:16] Speaker 4: You reach back about a decade to what you guys did.
[10:19] Speaker 4: You were the first company to have a factory chambering
[10:23] Speaker 4: for the three thirty eight out six mm hm. And
[10:27] Speaker 4: you do a short run of cameras and three thirty
[10:30] Speaker 4: eight out six and watch them fly off the shelves.
[10:33] Speaker 5: That's right.
[10:34] Speaker 6: Well, you know, similarly to that, we came out with
[10:36] Speaker 6: our three thirty eight RPM here a few years ago, yes,
[10:39] Speaker 6: which is similar ballistics a little bit faster actually to that.
[10:42] Speaker 6: And that's the idea is to be able to have
[10:43] Speaker 6: a lightweight gun with a you know, with the heavier
[10:47] Speaker 6: projectile like you talk about a cool like Alaskan guide
[10:50] Speaker 6: gun or something there.
[10:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, you get your four and a half
[10:53] Speaker 4: pound rifle shooting a serious two hundred and twenty five
[10:57] Speaker 4: two and fifty grand bullet. Yeah, that would be a
[11:00] Speaker 4: horrific backup gun.
[11:01] Speaker 3: For beer hunters.
[11:02] Speaker 5: That's right, yep.
[11:03] Speaker 6: No, And I brought actually the three thirty eight rpm
[11:06] Speaker 6: in our back country in an eighteen inch barrel to
[11:09] Speaker 6: a last or note, excuse me, to Canada on a hunt.
[11:12] Speaker 5: I knew I was gonna be around grizzlies, but I couldn't.
[11:15] Speaker 6: Take a pistol up there legally, right, So I brought
[11:17] Speaker 6: one of those little five pound three thirty eighth with
[11:19] Speaker 6: an eighteen inch barrel on it, and the three thirty
[11:21] Speaker 6: eight rpm.
[11:22] Speaker 5: Is my pistol, and it was it was great.
[11:23] Speaker 6: Didn't have to use it, but it was. You know,
[11:25] Speaker 6: I brought it nonetheless, but it's confiding to have it
[11:27] Speaker 6: with you.
[11:28] Speaker 5: It is, it is, it is.
[11:30] Speaker 4: Well, so all right, you guys are doing all sorts
[11:32] Speaker 4: of interesting things. So what do you got in the works. Well,
[11:35] Speaker 4: can we look forward to seeing from weatherby Mmmm.
[11:40] Speaker 5: Well let's see.
[11:42] Speaker 6: We're yeah, we're looking to branch into kind of a
[11:45] Speaker 6: whole new category. I guess I would say here this summer,
[11:49] Speaker 6: which is kind of fun. And we do have a
[11:52] Speaker 6: just a little teaser for all your listeners out there.
[11:55] Speaker 6: We do have a birthday here coming up in our country,
[11:58] Speaker 6: and we got some fun things coming out for to
[12:00] Speaker 6: July weekend on that as well.
[12:01] Speaker 4: Oh nice, so we tune in. Just go to Weatherby
[12:04] Speaker 4: dot com. You can check out everything there. Adam Wetherbys,

[12:11] Speaker 5: Well. It's fun, it's about It reminds me of bullets.
[12:13] Speaker 6: It's about trajectory and ballistics and aerodynamics and all those things.
[12:17] Speaker 5: It all, it all plays.
[12:18] Speaker 3: In and going faster, spun faster is better.
[12:20] Speaker 4: There you go, Ada, thanks so much. All right, don't
[12:24] Speaker 4: go anywhere. Gun talk will be right back.

[15:11] Speaker 4: Pass along those stories to your kids, your grandkids. Make
[15:14] Speaker 4: sure they know about your dad, and you know it's
[15:17] Speaker 4: just all part of the process. But don't assume that
[15:21] Speaker 4: they know it's okay to formalize it, whether it's telling
[15:25] Speaker 4: them in person or even just getting out your phone
[15:27] Speaker 4: and recording videos, especially when you talk about passing down guns.
[15:31] Speaker 4: I just got an email from Benjamin in Corpus Christy.
[15:34] Speaker 4: He says I inherited my dad's gun collection on April
[15:38] Speaker 4: seventeenth this year when he passed away in his sleep
[15:41] Speaker 4: at eighty eight years old. He left me needing to
[15:44] Speaker 4: purchase another safe, is what he did. Ha ha, he says.
[15:48] Speaker 4: I'm sure he'd get a hoot out of hearing me
[15:50] Speaker 4: put his passing away in such a context.
[15:53] Speaker 3: I like it. I like the attitude.
[15:54] Speaker 4: I like the fact that you know you're enjoying it,
[15:57] Speaker 4: and you know that he would enjoy that contact of
[16:00] Speaker 4: that story and how you were a passing those stories along.
[16:03] Speaker 4: And Benjamin also is telling those stories to his kids
[16:07] Speaker 4: and his grandkids. I remember he has eight six six
[16:10] Speaker 4: Talk gun or Tom Talk Gun. Let's go talk with
[16:12] Speaker 4: Fred out of Medford, Oregon Online.
[16:13] Speaker 3: Three. Hey, Fred, you're on gun Talk. You got a
[16:16] Speaker 3: story for us?
[16:17] Speaker 11: Yeah?
[16:18] Speaker 12: I do. Way back in the day when I was
[16:20] Speaker 12: a kid, Dad teaching me how to hunt, took the
[16:24] Speaker 12: old thirty thirty out, mounted a cheap scope, got at
[16:27] Speaker 12: zeroed went out to hunt. While out there on the
[16:31] Speaker 12: other side of the draw we were walking along, deer
[16:34] Speaker 12: got spooked up out of the brush, starts running. Dad's
[16:38] Speaker 12: kissing at me to take that shot. Oh, twelve year
[16:41] Speaker 12: old me hadn't understood or had anybody explained to them
[16:45] Speaker 12: the concepts of lead and holdover, so I'm in. He
[16:50] Speaker 12: got a little irritated, and I didn't know how to
[16:52] Speaker 12: explain to him, I don't know what I don't know.
[16:55] Speaker 12: So you fast forward, though I don't know, maybe fifteen
[16:58] Speaker 12: years later, got out of the Marine Corps and came
[17:02] Speaker 12: back and was helping Dad and my brothers prepare for
[17:05] Speaker 12: their CCW classes out here, and we got to talking
[17:09] Speaker 12: about distance and holdovers and the zeroing, and I thought
[17:15] Speaker 12: back on that story and I told them, I was like,
[17:16] Speaker 12: this was one of the reasons that made me want
[17:19] Speaker 12: to learn how to shoot well and understand the science
[17:24] Speaker 12: and the mechanics of it. And part of it was
[17:27] Speaker 12: you taught me how to be an ethical hunter, but
[17:29] Speaker 12: no one taught you, and you didn't know how to
[17:31] Speaker 12: explain it to me. And I want to give that
[17:32] Speaker 12: to you for everything you've given to me. So we
[17:35] Speaker 12: ended up helping each other out in the long run,
[17:37] Speaker 12: And it wouldn't have happened if we hadn't had that
[17:40] Speaker 12: moment of going hunting Togethern't.
[17:43] Speaker 3: That amazing going full circle on that. That is a
[17:46] Speaker 3: great story.
[17:48] Speaker 12: It's one of the things that makes me realize it
[17:50] Speaker 12: doesn't matter how much you learn experience in life. If
[17:54] Speaker 12: you're a dad or a son, you've got the opportunity
[17:56] Speaker 12: and the capacity to give back and pay it forward
[17:59] Speaker 12: as well.
[18:00] Speaker 4: There you go, all right, all right, marine, I got
[18:02] Speaker 4: a marine, a quick marine thing for you.
[18:05] Speaker 12: Oh, there we go.
[18:06] Speaker 3: No, no, that's just good.
[18:07] Speaker 4: I mentioned earlier in the show that my dad was
[18:10] Speaker 4: good friends with Lee Trevino, the professional golfer. Yes, sir,
[18:14] Speaker 4: I did not know this until I looked it up
[18:16] Speaker 4: this morning. Lee Trevino was in the Marines for four years.
[18:21] Speaker 12: Ah, so he understood the value of practice and repetition
[18:26] Speaker 12: to hone a.
[18:27] Speaker 4: Craft, I would imagine. So, yes, sir, you joined the
[18:31] Speaker 4: Marines when he was seventeen.
[18:34] Speaker 12: Good for him.
[18:36] Speaker 3: So there you go.
[18:37] Speaker 4: They went on to become one of the best golfers
[18:39] Speaker 4: of all time. Hey, great story, Fred, I appreciate you
[18:41] Speaker 4: sharing that with us. Thank you, sir. Let's grab Chuck.
[18:45] Speaker 4: I think we've got time to get chucking here out
[18:46] Speaker 4: of Saint Charles, Missouri. Chuck, you got a story on
[18:49] Speaker 4: your daughter.
[18:51] Speaker 13: Well, actually my granddaughter, so okay. For sixth birthdays, you know,
[18:58] Speaker 13: the bought her a custom made six milimeter creed More
[19:03] Speaker 13: with a proof of carbon barrel, and you know, met
[19:08] Speaker 13: her carbon fiber stock cut off the inch and a
[19:11] Speaker 13: half and a Z five Swarski scope and Grandpa got
[19:16] Speaker 13: that all side and for her. And of course I've
[19:20] Speaker 13: never owned a rifle that nice of my life, you know,
[19:23] Speaker 13: but you got to start to start to grandkids out right.
[19:27] Speaker 13: But the family came out the farm farm yesterday for
[19:31] Speaker 13: Father's Day, and I thought, well, well, just get her
[19:34] Speaker 13: set up and get her started shooting. We got her
[19:37] Speaker 13: on our seventeen hmr and a about forty yards shooting
[19:41] Speaker 13: the plate wreck and got her, you know, shooting off
[19:44] Speaker 13: a tripod off of that, and then we took her
[19:46] Speaker 13: over to the rifle range and and got her on
[19:50] Speaker 13: a shooting ipsig target, you know, steel target at two
[19:55] Speaker 13: hundred yards, hitting that. Well, then we moved her out
[19:57] Speaker 13: to three hundred yards. She hit that, shooting off a
[20:01] Speaker 13: bench and a hairs bipod and and a rear sand
[20:04] Speaker 13: bag and and she hit that. And of course we're
[20:07] Speaker 13: all hooping in the hollering, and you know, I mean, darn,
[20:11] Speaker 13: we didn't take that girl all the way out the
[20:13] Speaker 13: five hundred yards and she's six years old, six years old. Yeah,
[20:21] Speaker 13: if we was a hooping and a hollering dad and
[20:23] Speaker 13: mom and everybody was tickled to death. You know, she can't,
[20:28] Speaker 13: she can't. She'd been hunting with her deer hunting with
[20:31] Speaker 13: her mom and me since she was a baby, and
[20:35] Speaker 13: goes duck hunting with her dad, and and she killed
[20:38] Speaker 13: her two spring turkeys gobblers this year. So she's all
[20:42] Speaker 13: ate up with hunting.
[20:44] Speaker 3: I guess she is.
[20:45] Speaker 4: Well, she's got a great family, and what a lovely story.
[20:48] Speaker 4: And I know everybody's shooting pictures because that's what they
[20:51] Speaker 4: do now.
[20:52] Speaker 13: Oh yeah, yeah, we got videos and pictures. And yeah.
[20:56] Speaker 13: I was sitting there kind of holding the holding the bipod,
[21:00] Speaker 13: you know, kind of sort of some of the recall
[21:02] Speaker 13: for her, and she's talking and I go, well, what's wrong,
[21:06] Speaker 13: She's nothing. I'm just talking to guns. You go, why
[21:08] Speaker 13: are you doing this?
[21:09] Speaker 14: Why?
[21:09] Speaker 13: You know she's trying to get the gun. You know,
[21:12] Speaker 13: she's talking for gun. You know she's walking steal at
[21:16] Speaker 13: three four hundred yards. And that's that's absolutely a proud
[21:21] Speaker 13: grandpa that I guess.
[21:24] Speaker 5: I love it.
[21:25] Speaker 3: The great story. Thank you, sir. I appreciate you calling
[21:27] Speaker 3: with that one.
[21:28] Speaker 4: I had not thought of that, But I may add
[21:32] Speaker 4: that to my repertoire of talking to my gun. Why
[21:35] Speaker 4: are you doing that? What's the matter with you? Come on,
[21:38] Speaker 4: you got to do better than that.
[21:40] Speaker 3: I like that.
[21:41] Speaker 4: I like the laying off some of that responsibility and
[21:44] Speaker 4: maybe placing a little bit of blame out there.
[21:46] Speaker 3: It wasn't me, he was the gun. So there you go. Yeah,
[21:50] Speaker 3: you know, I tried that with my golf clubs. That
[21:51] Speaker 3: didn't work at all. They didn't listen. So that's the
[21:54] Speaker 3: way it goes.
[21:55] Speaker 4: It's just, you know, you can bad mouth them all
[21:57] Speaker 4: you want to, they just don't care. Just the way
[21:59] Speaker 4: it is. And let trust me when I tell you
[22:02] Speaker 4: I'm a terrible golfer. I like to be out there.
[22:04] Speaker 4: I like to be outdoors. But as Bill Ruger said
[22:08] Speaker 4: when he went by a golf course one time and
[22:10] Speaker 4: he said, you know, look at all those people out there,
[22:13] Speaker 4: there's to be out shooting. Or as someone said, you know,
[22:16] Speaker 4: a golf course is a waste of a good riflery.
[22:20] Speaker 3: So there you go. That's tike care of that eight
[22:23] Speaker 3: six' six talk.
[22:24] Speaker 4: Gun when we come, back hunting stories from an online,
[22:27] Speaker 4: influencer don't miss this. One we all love our online
[22:38] Speaker 4: video some more than, others of, course but they are
[22:40] Speaker 4: fun to, watch but you, know you can also learn
[22:42] Speaker 4: a lot from. Them and as you kind of cruise,
[22:45] Speaker 4: around what you really want to do is find somebody
[22:47] Speaker 4: you can watch over and over again and just dive into.
[22:51] Speaker 4: It and after a, while, you, frankly you get to
[22:52] Speaker 4: feel like you know. Somebody and that's certainly the case
[22:55] Speaker 4: of our next, guest who do? You who shows up?
[22:57] Speaker 14: Here?
[22:57] Speaker 3: Adam we so who do you? Who where does that come? From?
[23:00] Speaker 14: Man it's long story.
[23:02] Speaker 15: Short that is what we used to yell out when
[23:05] Speaker 15: the boss was coming at, work just to let everybody
[23:07] Speaker 15: know to behave and act. Right and then we were
[23:11] Speaker 15: having dinner one day AND i was, like, yeah Maybe
[23:13] Speaker 15: i'll just make that my name online AND i just
[23:16] Speaker 15: kind of never quit with.
[23:18] Speaker 3: It i'll be darn well you.
[23:20] Speaker 4: HAVE i tempted to, say, well you got a YouTube,
[23:23] Speaker 4: channel but you got all sorts of different.
[23:25] Speaker 3: Channels where people can find your, videos don't.
[23:28] Speaker 14: You, YES i don't. SLEEP i just record Whatever i'm
[23:32] Speaker 14: doing every single day and throw it up online basically kind.
[23:36] Speaker 4: Of a stream of. Consciousness and if you would when somebody, says,
[23:39] Speaker 4: well what's your channel about or what are your videos
[23:42] Speaker 4: about what do you tell?
[23:43] Speaker 3: Them?
[23:43] Speaker 15: Sure so eight years, ago another long story, short my
[23:47] Speaker 15: wife came home and, said, man these people they're doing
[23:50] Speaker 15: this as a, living just filming, themselves going to the, zoo.
[23:53] Speaker 15: Whatever AND i, said, well research whatever camera those people
[23:56] Speaker 15: are using And i'll try to figure it. Out so
[23:59] Speaker 15: we kind of ran with it and did the same,
[24:01] Speaker 15: thing just filmed whatever we were doing every. Day and
[24:06] Speaker 15: the stuff THAT i was doing is the stuff that
[24:08] Speaker 15: really started to take off much, faster and that was
[24:12] Speaker 15: guns and hunting and. Firearms so that's the main focus
[24:17] Speaker 15: of EVERYTHING i. Do we do a little bit of
[24:20] Speaker 15: cooking shows and farming and, homesteading but the main bits
[24:25] Speaker 15: of my shows THAT i do record is centered around
[24:28] Speaker 15: firearms and.
[24:29] Speaker 14: Hunting.
[24:30] Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah and of, course you, know you get a
[24:32] Speaker 4: lot of the new stuff that comes, out and you
[24:34] Speaker 4: get to try different. THINGS i, mean, RECENTLY i think
[24:38] Speaker 4: you put out something about the twenty two Creed.
[24:39] Speaker 16: More, yeah been diving in heads deep on twenty two Creed.
[24:44] Speaker 14: More and kind of the way THAT i film my
[24:46] Speaker 14: show is not.
[24:48] Speaker 15: Claiming to be an, expert but turning the cameras on
[24:51] Speaker 15: and let's see what happens and whatever happens, happens and
[24:55] Speaker 15: we record all the data show everybody who wants to.
[24:58] Speaker 14: Watch on it and learn along WITH i guess you could, say.
[25:01] Speaker 3: So what'd you think of the twenty two Creed.
[25:03] Speaker 15: More so my initial reactions, were, well take a step.
[25:09] Speaker 15: Back part of my show is just regular blue collar
[25:13] Speaker 15: guy doing Whatever i'm, doing, Right and when the twenty
[25:17] Speaker 15: two Creed more came out quite a few years, ago
[25:21] Speaker 15: you couldn't get into it unless you want to spend
[25:23] Speaker 15: several several thousand dollars on the. Rifle my interests kind
[25:27] Speaker 15: of got peaked here recently because now everybody's on.
[25:30] Speaker 14: Board i've got A Ruger american and twenty two Creed.
[25:34] Speaker 15: More i've got A Cba cascade and twenty two Creed.
[25:37] Speaker 15: MORE i Think savage is making some of their new
[25:40] Speaker 15: rifles in it as.
[25:40] Speaker 14: Well so that's what kind of got me interested is.
[25:43] Speaker 15: Now everybody can afford the twenty two Creed. More but
[25:46] Speaker 15: every single one That i've, Touched i've been able to
[25:48] Speaker 15: find themo that group's good and quite, honestly the trajectory
[25:53] Speaker 15: numbers and the energy numbers are pretty.
[25:56] Speaker 4: Impressive well they, are and so we tend to say
[26:02] Speaker 4: if you've been around this at. All new carts comes
[26:04] Speaker 4: out and the first thing you say, is, well why
[26:06] Speaker 4: does the inbod need?
[26:07] Speaker 3: That we all go? OUT i don't need.
[26:08] Speaker 4: THAT i got the two two, THREE i got to,
[26:10] Speaker 4: THIS i got to, That and typically that's the WAY
[26:12] Speaker 4: i react UNTIL i start looking into it and, go,
[26:15] Speaker 4: oh they actually did something.
[26:17] Speaker 3: There this has some.
[26:19] Speaker 4: BENEFITS i, mean that's kind of how we gravitate, hoestly
[26:23] Speaker 4: wouldn't you? Say pretty much for all the creedboard.
[26:25] Speaker 15: Cartridges, yeah, ABSOLUTELY i mean HIGHER bc, projectiles heavier projectiles
[26:32] Speaker 15: than what you might commonly see in that.
[26:35] Speaker 14: Caliber.
[26:36] Speaker 15: YEAH i just did a video the other day comparing
[26:39] Speaker 15: twenty two Creed more versus the two forty Three, winchester
[26:42] Speaker 15: which two forty three has been around longer than any of,
[26:45] Speaker 15: us and it's pretty. Impressive smaller, caliber but the numbers
[26:50] Speaker 15: are up.
[26:50] Speaker 13: There they really.
[26:52] Speaker 4: Are they reached out as far or farther and delivering
[26:55] Speaker 4: energy way out there and doing it with a less.
[26:57] Speaker 15: Recoil absolutely one of my goals this. Year we're filming
[27:01] Speaker 15: whitetail hunts with tween Two.
[27:03] Speaker 3: Creedmoor oh, Nice so DID i see?
[27:06] Speaker 4: That you just reached it in a video you blew
[27:08] Speaker 4: up a, gun so he's that he pauses a little
[27:12] Speaker 4: bit SYSTEM.
[27:15] Speaker 15: I had to think about it for a second of the,
[27:18] Speaker 15: timelines BUT i was in Where i'm living, now so
[27:21] Speaker 15: it happened within the last twelve. Months, yes AND i
[27:25] Speaker 15: honestly don't have the exact details as to what. HAPPENED
[27:31] Speaker 15: i think it was probably AN amo, issue but it
[27:33] Speaker 15: was kind of an unpopular, cartridge the seventeen W, sm
[27:40] Speaker 15: AND i had it in A ruger seventy. Seven i'm
[27:43] Speaker 15: a huge fan of The ruger seventy. SEVEN'S i collect.
[27:46] Speaker 15: Them i've got one in just about every cartridge make them,
[27:49] Speaker 15: in but the newer ones they're making with thread of
[27:52] Speaker 15: barrels which really got me interested in. THEM i have
[27:54] Speaker 15: A ruger seventy seven.
[27:56] Speaker 14: And forty four Mag i've taken a deal with.
[27:58] Speaker 16: That i've got in three Fitt i've got it in seventeen,
[28:01] Speaker 16: horned twenty two horn. It but the SEVENTEEN wsm it's
[28:06] Speaker 16: basically the hottest rim fire that you can, get and
[28:09] Speaker 16: for whatever, REASON i had about seventy rounds through that.
[28:12] Speaker 16: Barrel maybe it's BECAUSE i didn't clean it, yet BUT
[28:17] Speaker 16: i had that thing explode on.
[28:19] Speaker 14: ME i say.
[28:21] Speaker 15: Explode the gun itself didn't, explode but it blew the
[28:26] Speaker 15: mag out the bottom and the.
[28:27] Speaker 14: Left side of the wood. Stalk, gough good.
[28:30] Speaker 15: Grief and WHEN i got to researching, it apparently that's
[28:34] Speaker 15: a very common problem with seventeen, calibers even in THE,
[28:39] Speaker 15: hmr but even more so with THE. Wsm my assumption
[28:44] Speaker 15: is just that small seventeen caliber maybe get a little
[28:49] Speaker 15: bit gummed up without cleaning. It it's just enough pressure
[28:52] Speaker 15: firing that thing off to the weakest spot of, escape
[28:56] Speaker 15: was the.
[28:56] Speaker 14: Magazine did you get?
[28:58] Speaker 3: Hurt?
[28:58] Speaker 15: NO i didn't get hurt at. All it, Ung it
[29:01] Speaker 15: wrung my. EARS i was shooting it. SUPPRESSED i didn't
[29:03] Speaker 15: have my ear pro, in so oh it wrung my
[29:07] Speaker 15: ears there for a.
[29:08] Speaker 6: Minute.
[29:09] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah you had your EyePro.
[29:11] Speaker 14: ON i BET i actually. Didn't.
[29:15] Speaker 15: No, Yeah And i've started wearing EyePro a lot more
[29:18] Speaker 15: often now though SINCE i.
[29:20] Speaker 4: Happened, yeah all the TIME i wear it is every
[29:22] Speaker 4: single TIME i pull a.
[29:23] Speaker 3: Trigger no.
[29:24] Speaker 15: Acception the end of the story WAS i sent it
[29:28] Speaker 15: To ruger and they put a new stock on, it
[29:32] Speaker 15: AND i think it had an injector that broke in the,
[29:34] Speaker 15: process they fixed.
[29:35] Speaker 14: It put a new stock on. IT i haven't had
[29:37] Speaker 14: any problems.
[29:38] Speaker 4: Since, okay are there any particular videos or subjects you've
[29:44] Speaker 4: done really get people riled?
[29:46] Speaker 14: Up let me, SING i SAW i.
[29:49] Speaker 4: Saw one you did on you using the two seventy for,
[29:51] Speaker 4: help and that usually is good for at least some
[29:54] Speaker 4: people who feel strongly one way or the other on.
[29:56] Speaker 5: It, yeah that video actually got a lot of.
[29:59] Speaker 14: Us and the end of that story is two seventy
[30:03] Speaker 14: is fantastic FOR.
[30:04] Speaker 3: Elk, yes it, is of course it.
[30:05] Speaker 15: Is that Was that was a four hundred and fifty yard,
[30:09] Speaker 15: shot which to some probably seems like nothing and the
[30:13] Speaker 15: others seems like a. Stretch BUT i had practiced, very,
[30:15] Speaker 15: very very a lot with that rifle and was very
[30:19] Speaker 15: confident pulling the trigger at that distance in That.
[30:21] Speaker 14: Ammo BUT i think the crux of it is is.
[30:24] Speaker 15: People have a hard time putting theirselves in other shoes
[30:28] Speaker 15: or seeing perspective of other. People and you, know if
[30:33] Speaker 15: they love their, cartridge it's going to be better than
[30:35] Speaker 15: their buddy's.
[30:36] Speaker 5: Cartridge you.
[30:37] Speaker 4: Know WHAT i have kind of figured, Out, adam is
[30:39] Speaker 4: WHAT i would love to tell people was when they start, saying,
[30:41] Speaker 4: well you, know what do you think about this cartridge
[30:43] Speaker 4: or that cartridge or this thing or that? Thing AND
[30:46] Speaker 4: i want to say the answer is always the. Same
[30:49] Speaker 4: it doesn't. Matter pick the one you, want use a good,
[30:53] Speaker 4: bullet learn to, shoot put the bullet in the right.
[30:56] Speaker 4: Place AND i don't care if you're shooting the two
[30:58] Speaker 4: forty three ON, elk which will, work you, know or

[31:31] Speaker 4: Tom Talk. GUN i mentioned earlier THAT i wanted to
[31:35] Speaker 4: share something happened. YESTERDAY i went to a talk given
[31:38] Speaker 4: by a friend of. Mine she is a flight. Instructor
[31:41] Speaker 4: this is all going to come. Together it makes sense
[31:43] Speaker 4: about guns in a. Minute in, fact she was the
[31:46] Speaker 4: twenty twenty Two National Flight instructor of The. Year teachers
[31:50] Speaker 4: about country. Flying interesting lady very accomplished in actually as
[31:58] Speaker 4: a college professor, too when she's not doing all this
[32:01] Speaker 4: other stuff river guiding and the. Rest several years ago
[32:07] Speaker 4: she had a mid air. COLLISION a feller ran into,
[32:10] Speaker 4: her no fault of. Hers it was fatal to the
[32:14] Speaker 4: other pilot and stopped her. Engine she was able to
[32:20] Speaker 4: put her plane in flying to the back, country basically
[32:22] Speaker 4: do a control. Crash did an excellent, job AND i
[32:26] Speaker 4: went to a talk she did yesterday about.
[32:28] Speaker 3: It And i'm no. Naming her name Is Amy.
[32:32] Speaker 4: Hoover if you're into that, world that's a really excellent
[32:35] Speaker 4: book if you're interested on back country and cannon, flying mountain.
[32:39] Speaker 4: Flying but there's some real. Crossovers i've talked about this
[32:44] Speaker 4: before between my love of flying and of course all
[32:50] Speaker 4: the safety precautions, there and my love of shooting and
[32:52] Speaker 4: the safety precautions.
[32:54] Speaker 3: There she said something that was.
[32:57] Speaker 4: INTERESTING i wanted to share it because it really applies
[33:00] Speaker 4: to particularly thinking about self defense and concealed. Carry she,
[33:05] Speaker 4: said a situation can happen over which you have no.
[33:09] Speaker 4: Control we all think that, well you, Know i'm a good,
[33:14] Speaker 4: person always going to attack. ME i only go to safe.
[33:17] Speaker 4: PLACES i don't go to those other. PLACES i, mean
[33:20] Speaker 4: all the things that the people, say all of the
[33:25] Speaker 4: reasons that you can give why why nothing's going to
[33:30] Speaker 4: happen bad to. You she, says a situation can happen
[33:36] Speaker 4: over which you have no. Control and the follow on
[33:40] Speaker 4: to that, is she, says and you need to take
[33:44] Speaker 4: control as soon as. Possible in her, case somebody ran
[33:51] Speaker 4: into her with another. Airplane as you can, imagine there
[33:54] Speaker 4: were two years of investigations IN TSB faa all the
[33:57] Speaker 4: rest of, it and they came back and, said you
[34:00] Speaker 4: didn't do anything. Wrong don't know what this guy was
[34:02] Speaker 4: doing and why he was doing what he's. Doing without
[34:04] Speaker 4: going into the, details but her talk is about preparing
[34:10] Speaker 4: pre flight and what happens afterwards. AFTERMATH i told her,
[34:16] Speaker 4: AFTERWARDS i, said you, know when you talk about your
[34:17] Speaker 4: pre flight and thinking, about you, know being prepared for your,
[34:21] Speaker 4: flight said one of the things we talked.
[34:23] Speaker 3: About i've talked about.
[34:24] Speaker 4: It here is it every day WHEN i put all my,
[34:27] Speaker 4: gun AND i do put all my gun every, DAY
[34:31] Speaker 4: i try to prep my mind AND i don't say,
[34:34] Speaker 4: WELL i might need this. Today that's the wrong way of.
[34:37] Speaker 4: Thinking WHAT i say is today is the. Day today
[34:45] Speaker 4: is the Day i'm going to need. This and SO
[34:48] Speaker 4: i put it in my mind that that is going to.
[34:50] Speaker 4: Happen why WOULD i do? That preparing the mind so
[34:57] Speaker 4: that when it, happens not if when it, happens your
[35:03] Speaker 4: brain goes. YEP i knew that was going to, happen
[35:06] Speaker 4: AND i know exactly what to do instead, of oh
[35:09] Speaker 4: what's going? On oh my, GOSH i can't believe this is.
[35:12] Speaker 4: Happening oh good. Grief what SHOULD i do?
[35:14] Speaker 3: Now? No, no, no, no no.
[35:15] Speaker 4: No you need reaction. Time you need to shorten that reaction.
[35:19] Speaker 4: Time and in her, CASE i was, saying you, know for,
[35:23] Speaker 4: pilots you need to. Think And i've actually said this
[35:26] Speaker 4: out loud BECAUSE i got it from somebody. ELSE i
[35:28] Speaker 4: walk around the airplane When i'm doing the pre, FLIGHT i, say, okay,
[35:31] Speaker 4: USOB i know you're going to try to kill me.
[35:34] Speaker 4: TODAY i just don't know. How So i've already got
[35:38] Speaker 4: my mind something not only can, happen but it is
[35:41] Speaker 4: going to. Happen if it, doesn't that's, Great But i'm
[35:44] Speaker 4: already Primed i'm ready to. Go if something, HAPPENS i
[35:46] Speaker 4: have made up my. Mind i've got a. Plan same
[35:49] Speaker 4: thing with your carry, gun same thing with self. Defense
[35:52] Speaker 4: BUT i like that idea of a situation can happen
[35:55] Speaker 4: over which you have no, control you need to take
[35:59] Speaker 4: control as soon as. Possible she also had a lot
[36:04] Speaker 4: of good information about aftermath immediately after the. Accident after the,
[36:08] Speaker 4: crash she ended up having to put the plane into
[36:10] Speaker 4: a place.
[36:11] Speaker 3: And one of the.
[36:13] Speaker 4: Wings hit a tree and spun her, around which she,
[36:15] Speaker 4: said actually probably saved your.
[36:16] Speaker 3: Life the need to immediately drink a lot of.
[36:20] Speaker 4: Water you got to wash all these talks and doorphins
[36:22] Speaker 4: and all the rest of the stuff that your body.
[36:24] Speaker 4: Generates a lot of other things about not getting on
[36:28] Speaker 4: social media. Afterwards don't listen to what people. Say i've
[36:33] Speaker 4: had friends who've been involved in shootings and it's unbelievable
[36:36] Speaker 4: what people will say. Online ignore, it don't go on social,
[36:39] Speaker 4: media don't respond to. Anything don't you. Know it's, Like,
[36:41] Speaker 4: okay there's a whole lot of, stuff and you need
[36:45] Speaker 4: a mentor a guide when all this. Happens you need
[36:48] Speaker 4: somebody who's talking to you and, say, okay you will
[36:51] Speaker 4: not go on social. Media, yes they're saying stupid things about.
[36:54] Speaker 4: This you cannot respond to, that, no especially if it
[36:58] Speaker 4: possibly it's going to involve legal. Act so there was
[37:01] Speaker 4: a lot of good information, here just kind of one
[37:04] Speaker 4: of those food for thoughts or where you, Go, okay
[37:07] Speaker 4: you can get good training for your firearms from a
[37:11] Speaker 4: lot of different places if you're open to it and
[37:14] Speaker 4: you're paying attention to it and, Thinking, Okay i'm going
[37:19] Speaker 4: to be. Prepared i'm going to carry a. Tourniquet i'm
[37:23] Speaker 4: going to carry hemostatic gauze with me EVERYWHERE i, go
[37:29] Speaker 4: understanding that you're probably never going to need, it you,
[37:32] Speaker 4: know but you know, what a low percentage is not
[37:34] Speaker 4: a zero. Percentage so if you have your tournique and
[37:38] Speaker 4: you have your, gauge you can stop believing you can
[37:40] Speaker 4: save a. Life yours are somebody. Else's so some years,
[37:46] Speaker 4: AGO i used to not think this way at. ALL
[37:47] Speaker 4: i changed the WAY i, DRESS i changed the CLOTHES i.
[37:51] Speaker 4: WEAR i wear cargo, PANTS i wear five elevens WHERE
[37:55] Speaker 4: i didn't used to do. That and Now i've got a,
[37:58] Speaker 4: tournique And i've got gaus, Pucket i've got flashlight on
[38:01] Speaker 4: the other, side And i've got spare ammo Or i've
[38:04] Speaker 4: got a. Gun of, course sometimes i've got pepper. Spray just.
[38:08] Speaker 4: Depends why WOULD i do all? That BECAUSE i might need,
[38:12] Speaker 4: It and if you need, it you're gonna need it
[38:15] Speaker 4: more than anything in the. World it's a. Mindset, oh
[38:20] Speaker 4: speaking of, mindset the funniest thing During amy's talk, yesterday
[38:25] Speaker 4: slide pops up at her. PowerPoint it's the color. Code she, Says,
[38:31] Speaker 4: yeah this Fella. Cooper i'm, thinking, YEAH i know this Fella.
[38:34] Speaker 4: Cooper and she's talking about the color, code and she's
[38:38] Speaker 4: talking About Colonel Dave, grossman who wrote the book on
[38:41] Speaker 4: killing and the preparation in the aftermath and the middle
[38:45] Speaker 4: process and all. That so she was actually bringing the
