[0:00] Speaker 1: The Ruger Light Rag Security three eighty is easy to
[0:03] Speaker 1: shoot and easy to wreck, small enough to carry concealed

[0:25] Speaker 2: Hey, this is Tom Gresham. We hope you enjoyed this
[0:28] Speaker 2: reloaded version.
[0:30] Speaker 3: There are so.
[0:30] Speaker 2: Many things going on in the court. We talk about
[0:33] Speaker 2: Congress and there are things going on there as well.
[0:35] Speaker 2: But you know, we've got at least a couple of
[0:37] Speaker 2: cases that the Supreme Court has taken second mimic cases,
[0:40] Speaker 2: but there's a whole lot more than that going on.
[0:42] Speaker 2: And who better to bring us up to speed on
[0:44] Speaker 2: that than Coastas Moros from the Second Amment Foundation at Costas.
[0:48] Speaker 2: I know that you're tracking who knows dozens of cases
[0:52] Speaker 2: right now, but if we were going to pick maybe
[0:54] Speaker 2: two three of them that are happening, and things are
[0:57] Speaker 2: happening right now, I'd love to straw off with this
[0:59] Speaker 2: koons Our case because that's very interesting.
[1:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, Tom, thanks for having me on. Coons is a
[1:04] Speaker 4: very important case. It's the New Jersey basically pan on
[1:09] Speaker 4: concealed carry even with a permit, because they've restricted it
[1:12] Speaker 4: in every place. And we got this pretty bad Third
[1:15] Speaker 4: Circuit Rolling a couple months back, which although it struck
[1:19] Speaker 4: down the vampire rule, which as your listeners may recall,
[1:22] Speaker 4: is the idea that all private property is off limits
[1:25] Speaker 4: unless the owner posts a sign inviting them in. They
[1:27] Speaker 4: did strike down that, so it wasn't all bad, but
[1:30] Speaker 4: they basically upheld everything else. You know, bars, playgrounds, restaurants
[1:35] Speaker 4: that serve alcohol, parks, all that sort of stuff, libraries.
[1:40] Speaker 4: So the Third Circuit now, which has become a sort
[1:43] Speaker 4: of anti night circuit, has now granted on bank to Koons,
[1:46] Speaker 4: which is terrific news. They're going to be hearing it
[1:49] Speaker 4: again on February eleventh, and we expect they will reverse
[1:53] Speaker 4: at least a lot of the panels rolling, if not
[1:56] Speaker 4: all of it.
[1:56] Speaker 5: So that's a very hopeful sign.
[1:59] Speaker 2: If they do, would you exp I mean, then this
[2:02] Speaker 2: would be a very good thing. But would you expect
[2:04] Speaker 2: at that point for it to be appeal to the
[2:07] Speaker 2: Supreme Court.
[2:09] Speaker 4: That's gonna be a million dollar question because New Jersey's
[2:12] Speaker 4: probably very frustrated right now because they're the only hardcore
[2:15] Speaker 4: anti gun state that's in a relatively pro gun circuit.
[2:19] Speaker 4: Because California gets the ninth New York gets the second,
[2:22] Speaker 4: which always rule in their favor. So now the third
[2:25] Speaker 4: circuits creating was called circuit splits if they do rule
[2:28] Speaker 4: as we expect, which makes Supreme Court review more likely.
[2:31] Speaker 4: So I imagine Attorney General Plackin in New Jersey is going
[2:34] Speaker 4: to be getting frantic calls from California and New York
[2:37] Speaker 4: telling begging him not to appeal because given that there
[2:41] Speaker 4: is yeah, given that there is this circuit split now
[2:46] Speaker 4: it would make the Supreme Court granting it more likely,
[2:48] Speaker 4: which would reverse New York and California's loss to.
[2:52] Speaker 2: There's some really interesting strategy and chess moves going on here.
[2:56] Speaker 5: Yes, correct, correct.
[2:57] Speaker 2: Okay, So we got the house case and then you've
[3:00] Speaker 2: got what's going on with the reciprocity.
[3:03] Speaker 3: Okay.
[3:04] Speaker 4: So there's a couple cases pending on the issue of
[3:07] Speaker 4: reciprocity right now. One of them is in Massachusetts that
[3:12] Speaker 4: was involved in New Hampshire resident who is carrying in Massachusetts.
[3:15] Speaker 4: But we also have a case called Gardener v. Maryland,
[3:19] Speaker 4: and that one is interesting because Miss Gardner is a
[3:24] Speaker 4: Virginia resident or was at the time with a Virginia
[3:27] Speaker 4: carry permit, and what happened was she got ran off
[3:31] Speaker 4: the road while she was driving through. I think it
[3:34] Speaker 4: was Maryland. It was Maryland, and so she defended herself.
[3:37] Speaker 4: She didn't fire again, but she displayed her gun dissuaded
[3:40] Speaker 4: the person, and then the police came and they didn't
[3:43] Speaker 4: charge her with any crimes except carrying without a Maryland permit,
[3:47] Speaker 4: and she has a Virginia permit. So she is a
[3:50] Speaker 4: pro say plaintiff who petitioned all the way to the
[3:53] Speaker 4: Supreme Court. And usually when you're pro sa, which means
[3:56] Speaker 4: you represent yourself, that's hopeless. You know, this report doesn't
[4:00] Speaker 4: generally grant those petitions. But somebody on the court requested
[4:04] Speaker 4: a response. That means at least one justice wants to
[4:06] Speaker 4: hear what Maryland does to say. So that prompted us
[4:09] Speaker 4: to file an amicust brief, which we filed yesterday. You
[4:12] Speaker 4: can go read it, read it online. And we're hopeful
[4:16] Speaker 4: that the Supreme Court is serious about this because it
[4:19] Speaker 4: would be great if we got reciprocity at least, at
[4:22] Speaker 4: least if other states have to honor permits at nothing else.
[4:25] Speaker 2: What's that all lines that someone who represents himself as
[4:27] Speaker 2: a fool for a client.
[4:29] Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, But hey, maybe she's the smart one's got.
[4:33] Speaker 5: She got all the way up to the String Court.
[4:35] Speaker 5: They requested a response, it's good for her.
[4:37] Speaker 2: Well, exactly, that is highly unlikely in and of itself,
[4:41] Speaker 2: and so that could be very interesting. And I think
[4:43] Speaker 2: the point we ought to make here is that a
[4:46] Speaker 2: lot of people have said, well, you know, we have
[4:48] Speaker 2: these reciprocity laws that keep getting introduced or bills, and
[4:53] Speaker 2: keep you introduced and get pass in the House, and
[4:55] Speaker 2: we'll just get the Congress to pass that. And I
[4:58] Speaker 2: just think that that's a losing proper position.
[5:01] Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's because of the filibuster unfortunately. So it
[5:05] Speaker 4: might get through the House, but unless you're going to
[5:07] Speaker 4: get about seven or eight Democrats on your side, which
[5:10] Speaker 4: you're not, then the filibuster makes it impossible in the Senate.
[5:14] Speaker 4: I get I admit I get a little frustrated when
[5:17] Speaker 4: our side kind of hypes this up, like they'll say, oh,
[5:20] Speaker 4: the House is voting on us of policy. Oh yeah,
[5:22] Speaker 4: but it doesn't really matter. I mean, I guess it does.
[5:25] Speaker 4: It's good that they have the vote so we know
[5:27] Speaker 4: where our representatives stand. Don't get me wrong. They should
[5:29] Speaker 4: try for it. But I don't like getting people's hopes
[5:33] Speaker 4: up for no reason. However, if the Supreme Court were
[5:35] Speaker 4: to grant review, that's very different. There's no filibuster there,
[5:38] Speaker 4: you know. So we would very much like to see
[5:42] Speaker 4: the Supreme Court take up this issue.
[5:43] Speaker 2: What's going on at the Supreme Court, because for a
[5:47] Speaker 2: long time they just avoided and wouldn't take any second
[5:50] Speaker 2: in the cases. And now they've accepted at least two
[5:53] Speaker 2: for the next session.
[5:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, so they granted at our urging and at the
[5:58] Speaker 4: urging of the Trump Department of US. It's actually they
[6:00] Speaker 4: granted certain Wolford, which is a sensitive places case on
[6:04] Speaker 4: that vampire rule I mentioned earlier, because the Ninth Circuit
[6:07] Speaker 4: out the vampire rules, even the Third Circuit panel didn't do.
[6:10] Speaker 4: So the Supreme Court is going to be reviewing that.
[6:12] Speaker 4: And they also granted review to a case called HARMANI,
[6:15] Speaker 4: which is a criminal case concerning it concerns marijuana using guns,
[6:20] Speaker 4: but not just marijuanas. We're a little frustrated that was
[6:23] Speaker 4: the one they chose to decide that issue because Hamani
[6:25] Speaker 4: has all sorts of other more sordid facts. He's not
[6:28] Speaker 4: just a guy who smoked some weed and had a gun,
[6:31] Speaker 4: you know. So we'll have to see how that shakes out.
[6:34] Speaker 4: But today at their conference, actually as we speak, they
[6:37] Speaker 4: are considering a variety of cases, including Duncan, which is
[6:42] Speaker 4: the magazine case in California. For that my old colleagues
[6:45] Speaker 4: at Michell and Associates, I brought Gators guns, a couple
[6:49] Speaker 4: of SBR cases, and a variety of other cases. It's
[6:52] Speaker 4: a big second Amendment at the Supreme Court. We'll see
[6:54] Speaker 4: if they grant anything or if they just keep relisting
[6:58] Speaker 4: them to if they haven't decided I did yet what
[7:00] Speaker 4: to do.
[7:01] Speaker 2: So we're all waiting to hear conferences when they all
[7:04] Speaker 2: get together and talk about it, and then I guess
[7:05] Speaker 2: on Monday we find out, you know what decisions, if any,
[7:09] Speaker 2: have been made, whether they're going to take it, not
[7:11] Speaker 2: take it, or just realisted and keep talking kicking it
[7:13] Speaker 2: down the road.
[7:15] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[7:15] Speaker 4: I mean, actually the last couple of weeks we've been
[7:17] Speaker 4: hearing about the grants on Fridays.
[7:19] Speaker 5: Like even though typically the normal.
[7:21] Speaker 4: Practices they have the conference on Thursday or Friday and
[7:23] Speaker 4: then they tell us on Monday if there's any news.
[7:26] Speaker 4: But last week we found out, for example, about the
[7:28] Speaker 4: birthright citizenship case on Friday, right after the conference. So
[7:32] Speaker 4: I'm going to keep refreshing the page this afternoon they
[7:34] Speaker 4: see if we get any news, but usually it is
[7:38] Speaker 4: the Monday after Yeah, I suspect, if I to speculate,
[7:41] Speaker 4: and this is pure speculation, I have no special knowledge.
[7:44] Speaker 4: I think they're waiting for the third and Seventh Circuit rulings,
[7:48] Speaker 4: so I wouldn't be surprised to see them just keep
[7:51] Speaker 4: holding the hardware cases until they have those rulings, so
[7:54] Speaker 4: then they can decide which of all the cases they
[7:56] Speaker 4: want to take up to decide these issues.
[7:59] Speaker 5: At least that's my hope.
[8:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let me ask you something else. So
[8:02] Speaker 2: we're here hearing a lot of noise and I call
[8:05] Speaker 2: it that specifically choosing that word in the Second Amendment world,
[8:10] Speaker 2: and some of the groups are saying, oh, the Department's Justice.
[8:13] Speaker 2: You know, we couldn't trust them. We knew we couldn't
[8:14] Speaker 2: trust Pambondi. They're not doing what we want. They're not
[8:17] Speaker 2: going to you know, negate the NFA. And yet we
[8:23] Speaker 2: see Hami Dillon doing amazing things and supporting gun rights
[8:28] Speaker 2: to the second A memo. What is your take and
[8:30] Speaker 2: where we are as of this moment in the Department
[8:34] Speaker 2: of Justice.
[8:35] Speaker 4: Well, we're in a very good place, and I get
[8:37] Speaker 4: a little frustrated at some of the Junes saying by
[8:39] Speaker 4: tob look, we disagree with them on the NFA. That's
[8:42] Speaker 4: why the Second Amendment Foundation and other ords besides ours
[8:46] Speaker 4: have suited them.
[8:46] Speaker 5: We don't agree with their defense of the NFA for sure.
[8:49] Speaker 4: However, compared to any other administration in modern history, this
[8:54] Speaker 4: has been a very favorable environment for us. They follow
[8:58] Speaker 4: the Meekest briefs in the Seventh and Circuits in support
[9:01] Speaker 4: of our challenge to the assault weapons vans. They've sued
[9:04] Speaker 4: Los Angeles over wait times. That's another stack case we
[9:06] Speaker 4: had to deal with before they did. You know, they're
[9:10] Speaker 4: doing a massive rights restoration. You have heart Meat Dylan
[9:13] Speaker 4: out there talking about reciprocity. You know, I hope they
[9:15] Speaker 4: in fact, I hope they found the Meekest grief and Gardner.
[9:17] Speaker 5: For that matter.
[9:18] Speaker 4: So they are doing a lot of pro Second Amendment
[9:21] Speaker 4: stuff that I would remind people that, yes, generally, the
[9:24] Speaker 4: federal government will generally defend federal laws.
[9:28] Speaker 5: That's just the way it is.
[9:29] Speaker 4: In fact, it was a pleasant surprise that they came
[9:32] Speaker 4: out and said in the Peterson case that you know,
[9:35] Speaker 4: although we think the NFA is constitutional, suppressors do get
[9:39] Speaker 4: some degree of Second Amendment protection. And while I think
[9:42] Speaker 4: a lot of people in Red states might see them say, well,
[9:44] Speaker 4: so what, that's a wishy watching thing to say, that's
[9:46] Speaker 4: actually really helpful for those of us in California and
[9:49] Speaker 4: similar states where suppressors are totally banned. It doesn't matter
[9:53] Speaker 4: if we wanted to NFA register them. California says you
[9:56] Speaker 4: can't have them at all, even if you're willing to
[9:57] Speaker 4: register them. So that's where that kind of thing is helpful.
[10:01] Speaker 3: You know.
[10:01] Speaker 5: Sometimes I feel.
[10:02] Speaker 4: Like people in the Red States that generally have a
[10:05] Speaker 4: good kind of forget are struggle.
[10:07] Speaker 3: Right.
[10:09] Speaker 5: The NFA is an.
[10:10] Speaker 4: Academic dispute for those of us in Telford, because you.
[10:13] Speaker 2: Can't you can't have anywhere. We are skipping over what
[10:17] Speaker 2: may be the most important and interesting and fascinating and
[10:21] Speaker 2: startling development, and that is in the Department of Justice,
[10:24] Speaker 2: under the Civil Rights Division, they have established a Second
[10:27] Speaker 2: Amendment section.
[10:29] Speaker 4: Yes, and a lot of people are very angry about this,
[10:33] Speaker 4: which is kind of funny, but yes, on the anti
[10:36] Speaker 4: gun side, I mean, but yeah, we have we received
[10:38] Speaker 4: the news that they are taking up the Second Amendment
[10:42] Speaker 4: in a more serious way by making it an office
[10:45] Speaker 4: within the Civil Rights Division, And that's that's fitting because
[10:48] Speaker 4: the Second Amendment is, besides the First Amendment, our oldest,
[10:51] Speaker 4: most fundamental so well, right, So it's kind of crazy
[10:54] Speaker 4: that it took until you know, our two hundred and
[10:57] Speaker 4: fiftieth birthday as a nation. Actually how this be a
[11:02] Speaker 4: focus to be fair and reconstruction. The Freedmen's Bureau did
[11:05] Speaker 4: make protecting the rights of bear arms and priority, but
[11:07] Speaker 4: besides that, it's kind of just been something the government
[11:10] Speaker 4: hasn't been involved with. And I was amused to see
[11:14] Speaker 4: some of the reaction from the anti gun side saying, oh, no,
[11:17] Speaker 4: how dare they do this? You know, it just reveals
[11:20] Speaker 4: that they don't they don't want the Second Amendment to
[11:23] Speaker 4: be a right.
[11:23] Speaker 5: They're upset that it is.
[11:25] Speaker 2: And I would position it and say, look, this is
[11:27] Speaker 2: a major commitment from the Trump administration to support gun right,
[11:33] Speaker 2: to support the Second Amendment, and to put some real
[11:35] Speaker 2: muscle because unlike this phony office that Biden had for
[11:40] Speaker 2: gun control in the White House, this is actually a
[11:43] Speaker 2: part of the Department of Justice.
[11:44] Speaker 3: They have law enforcement capability.
[11:47] Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, and.
[11:49] Speaker 4: They've already even before the office was established and they
[11:51] Speaker 4: started taking action. Like I mentioned the lawsuit against Los
[11:54] Speaker 4: Angeles for the long two year wait times for CCW permit.
[11:57] Speaker 4: So I think this just formalizes that and it makes
[12:00] Speaker 4: it more likely we're going to see more things like that.
[12:04] Speaker 4: So we're very hopeful and we hope they continue doing
[12:08] Speaker 4: that good work, even as like I said, we might
[12:10] Speaker 4: disagree with them on some things like the NFA.
[12:13] Speaker 2: You bet, coaches Morros, thank you so much. I appreciate
[12:16] Speaker 2: what you do and what you're doing at the Segrament

[14:42] Speaker 4: Welcome back to gun Talk, the place where we celebrate
[14:45] Speaker 4: all things shooting, hunting, and the Second Amendment.
[14:52] Speaker 2: Okay, giving you real time updates here, just seeing that
[14:55] Speaker 2: from this mess murder event in Australia, Bandy Beach, the
[15:02] Speaker 2: death told is now up to sixteen, forty people in
[15:06] Speaker 2: the hospital. This was a mass murder. They wanted it
[15:10] Speaker 2: to be as many as they could. They killed many
[15:13] Speaker 2: women and children. It's not a terrorist attack. And look,
[15:17] Speaker 2: let's stop men's words. Let's not pretend it's not. This
[15:20] Speaker 2: is an attack on Jews. This is part of the worldwide,
[15:25] Speaker 2: globalized the Antifada thing, and it's happening all over the world,
[15:33] Speaker 2: and it's happening in the United States. And if you're
[15:35] Speaker 2: not aware of it, thinking about it, preparing for it.
[15:39] Speaker 2: I'm sorry, what are you doing? And I mean you
[15:43] Speaker 2: got to be crazy. That means you gotta be paranoid.
[15:46] Speaker 2: But it's just one of those other risks that are
[15:50] Speaker 2: out there. In this case. Unfortunately, they're in Australia where
[15:56] Speaker 2: nobody's caring a gun because can't. And the good guy
[16:02] Speaker 2: who grabbed the murderer spinating around took his gun from
[16:05] Speaker 2: him didn't know how to work the gun. If the
[16:08] Speaker 2: murderer had had a second gun, he could have shot
[16:11] Speaker 2: this good guy and killed him on the spot. You
[16:14] Speaker 2: need to know how to work a lot of different guns.
[16:18] Speaker 2: I also think personally me my choice. Look, your choice
[16:22] Speaker 2: is your choice, and it's just as legitimate as my choice.
[16:27] Speaker 2: You can think I'm wrong. I can think you're wrong,
[16:29] Speaker 2: but that really doesn't change anything. My choice is to
[16:34] Speaker 2: depend upon the mercy of someone who is without mercy,
[16:39] Speaker 2: is to not depend upon somebody not shooting me when
[16:41] Speaker 2: they showed up to shoot me when they show up
[16:44] Speaker 2: to murder as many people as possible. And my plan
[16:50] Speaker 2: that day is, gee, I sure hope that doesn't happen.
[16:52] Speaker 2: That's not much of a plan. I've readily admit I
[16:58] Speaker 2: don't think about stuff way a lot of people do.
[17:02] Speaker 2: I am a get it done guy, get up early,
[17:05] Speaker 2: get going, move, take care of it. There's an issue,
[17:08] Speaker 2: let's just deal with that. There's another issue, let's deal
[17:10] Speaker 2: with that. I'm not at what you would call a
[17:15] Speaker 2: control freak, but I try to be realistic and say, Okay,
[17:21] Speaker 2: there really are people who would like to kill you
[17:25] Speaker 2: or me, or your children or your grandchildren. There are
[17:28] Speaker 2: people who would like to cut their heads off and
[17:30] Speaker 2: put that video on the internet. Oh I don't want
[17:35] Speaker 2: to think about that? Well who does? Who does want
[17:38] Speaker 2: to think about that? But what does not thinking about it?
[17:44] Speaker 2: How does that improve the situation? How does that improve
[17:47] Speaker 2: your situation?
[17:49] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[17:50] Speaker 2: Not making sense to me. Fred line three or Rhode Island,
[17:56] Speaker 2: Rhode Island, huh Fred.
[17:58] Speaker 10: Yah, Yeah, A good accido on Tom. Yeah, it's it's
[18:01] Speaker 10: been a kind of a sad day around here. Is
[18:02] Speaker 10: to you know, current events is what took place, yes
[18:04] Speaker 10: to deal with at Brown University, but you know, I
[18:08] Speaker 10: think being here in Rhode Island, you know, I remember
[18:11] Speaker 10: what was going on all last summer with the pro
[18:14] Speaker 10: Palestinian anti Semitic situation. That was going on a lot
[18:17] Speaker 10: of the Ivy League school campuses, Brown being one of them,
[18:21] Speaker 10: and it was happening here too, And I think this
[18:24] Speaker 10: has it just definitely has an impact as to what
[18:27] Speaker 10: actually led up to and developed as to what took place.
[18:30] Speaker 10: I mean, I'm just speculating because they're still trying to
[18:32] Speaker 10: saw through the through the chat to get they get
[18:35] Speaker 10: to the wheat as to what actually happened over there.
[18:37] Speaker 10: But I think that that has an impact. I think
[18:40] Speaker 10: that definitely has has an impact. Looking remembering what happened
[18:43] Speaker 10: last summer at Brown University campus and what happened now.
[18:47] Speaker 10: So the people who were basically supporting these students with
[18:51] Speaker 10: the not openly but behind the scenes, you know, supporting
[18:55] Speaker 10: the Palestine pro Palestinian movement and not coming down on
[18:59] Speaker 10: the too and harsh and letting them get away with
[19:02] Speaker 10: basically murder. But you're pretty close to it.
[19:05] Speaker 3: Well, it got to it.
[19:06] Speaker 2: It gets to eventually that is the end of the
[19:08] Speaker 2: string that they're pulling. And to your point, the forces
[19:14] Speaker 2: that are doing this are larger people and organizations and
[19:19] Speaker 2: states from overseas. They're foreign countries, they're funding this, they're
[19:23] Speaker 2: driving it, and you just cannot even pretend that that's
[19:30] Speaker 2: not true. We know it's true. Anybody who has a
[19:33] Speaker 2: modicum of honesty about it, knows anything about it, knows
[19:36] Speaker 2: that these events, these.
[19:40] Speaker 3: Riots, protests, whatever.
[19:41] Speaker 2: You want to call them, are funded and orchestrated, and
[19:46] Speaker 2: the social media aspect of it is run from overseas.
[19:49] Speaker 3: It just is.
[19:50] Speaker 2: And for those who don't know it, Thanks for I
[19:52] Speaker 2: appreciate the call Brown University they have stuting on campus.
[19:58] Speaker 2: And no, didn't use a so called assault weapon, used
[20:03] Speaker 2: a handgun, because of course handguns are used in the
[20:05] Speaker 2: majority of murders that are done with guns, just handguns.
[20:10] Speaker 3: Oh what did it happen?
[20:11] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, a gun freeze zone. Well, gun free for
[20:18] Speaker 2: you and me, good guys. It's gun free for good guys,
[20:21] Speaker 2: not gun free for bad guys. They get to disobey
[20:26] Speaker 2: the law because they can, because they will, because that's
[20:29] Speaker 2: what they do, that's who they are. So if it's
[20:33] Speaker 2: not gun free forever you want, it's only gun free
[20:37] Speaker 2: for the bad guys.
[20:38] Speaker 3: Right hold on here.
[20:40] Speaker 2: A second, got turned my computer screen back on, timed out.
[20:45] Speaker 2: I want to do this. Let's grab we've got time. Yeah,
[20:48] Speaker 2: we do real quickly. Joe in New Jersey Joe, I
[20:52] Speaker 2: got just a venit or so go for it.
[20:56] Speaker 11: Tom My grandson went through the police academy for six
[21:00] Speaker 11: months from January June, joined the local police department in July,
[21:03] Speaker 11: qualified twice for the clock, first to Gen four and
[21:05] Speaker 11: then again with a Gen five with a red dot.
[21:08] Speaker 11: And he wanted to get a little small carry gun.
[21:10] Speaker 11: So I took him to the range of my P
[21:12] Speaker 11: three sixty five. We put two mags in started fifteen
[21:14] Speaker 11: yards and the first ten shots for all, every single
[21:18] Speaker 11: one two to six inches left to the scent line.
[21:21] Speaker 11: And I'm looking at him, and he's right handed, but
[21:24] Speaker 11: he's got his instead of an Isosceles or weaver, he's
[21:27] Speaker 11: got his right foot forward. And with your right foot forward,
[21:29] Speaker 11: of course, your torso is twisted to the left, and
[21:32] Speaker 11: then your so your head is looking one way and
[21:35] Speaker 11: your torso's pointing the other way. And I said, hey,
[21:39] Speaker 11: do me favor, pull your right foot back and just
[21:42] Speaker 11: watch what happened. Of course, when he does that, your
[21:45] Speaker 11: shoulder comes back and run. Now his right arm is
[21:47] Speaker 11: perfectly aligned with his right eye right. Every single every
[21:51] Speaker 11: single shot goes dead on the sindline. I said.
[21:55] Speaker 3: That in the academy.
[21:56] Speaker 11: Huh, well, I said, how often did you shoot an academy?
[21:59] Speaker 11: He said to it three times a month. So I said,
[22:02] Speaker 11: so you shot eighteen to twenty times and they never
[22:04] Speaker 11: told you that your stance was wrong.
[22:06] Speaker 3: He said, no, Yeah, I mean there it did.
[22:10] Speaker 2: It's a great point we think of the police are
[22:13] Speaker 2: the experts, and the politicians will tell you listen to
[22:15] Speaker 2: the police, they're the experts.
[22:17] Speaker 3: Well maybe not. I'm glad you were able to get
[22:20] Speaker 3: him up the speed with that.
[22:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, stant this important issue, more important to know the
[22:26] Speaker 2: fundamental Let's talk about that when we come back. Hey,
[22:35] Speaker 2: this is Tom Gresham. We hope you enjoyed this reloaded version.
[22:39] Speaker 12: Oh.
[22:39] Speaker 2: I got an email from a listener. He got one
[22:42] Speaker 2: of the three three seven Federal revolvers, the little Ruger
[22:46] Speaker 2: ELCR loaded up with the three three seven Federal the magnum.
[22:51] Speaker 2: AMMO shot it. He goes, Wow, those are full power loads.
[22:56] Speaker 2: Yes they are. They look skinny, but they're like the
[22:58] Speaker 2: equivalent of a three fifty seven magnum a lot of recoil.
[23:01] Speaker 2: Yes they are. But here's the wonderful thing about the
[23:03] Speaker 2: three twenty seven Federal. You can shoot five.
[23:07] Speaker 3: Different rounds of AMMO in them.
[23:10] Speaker 2: You can shoot the three twenty seven magnum Federal Magnum alstin,
[23:14] Speaker 2: you can shoot the thirty two S and W, the
[23:16] Speaker 2: thirty two S and W long, the thirty two H
[23:19] Speaker 2: and R, and you can shoot the semi rimmed thirty two.
[23:23] Speaker 3: ACP in that as well.
[23:25] Speaker 2: Everything from powder puff loads that have no recoil to
[23:29] Speaker 2: the course of suit the real magnum ones. The sweet spot.
[23:34] Speaker 2: A lot of people are figuring out it's the thirty
[23:36] Speaker 2: two h and R loads. And there are some really
[23:38] Speaker 2: good self defense loads there a good bit less recoil,
[23:41] Speaker 2: and there are some good self defense loads with good bullets.
[23:44] Speaker 2: So if you're carrying or want to carry a three
[23:46] Speaker 2: twenty seven Federal revolver, take a look at the thirty
[23:51] Speaker 2: two h and R loads.
[23:52] Speaker 3: I think that's a really good compromise. Fair enough.
[23:55] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, by the way, I grabbed one of those
[23:57] Speaker 2: this week, stuck into my coat pocket because I realized
[24:01] Speaker 2: that my carry pistol was like three layers down behind you,
[24:05] Speaker 2: layers of sweater and vest and coat, and am I
[24:08] Speaker 2: going to get that out? So you slip the revolver
[24:10] Speaker 2: into my coat pocket, I can shoot it right through
[24:12] Speaker 2: the coat pocket. I don't even have to pull it out.
[24:14] Speaker 2: Need be so food for thought for your winter carry.
[24:18] Speaker 2: Let's go line one. Vince's with us out of Oklahoma
[24:21] Speaker 2: with a range report.
[24:22] Speaker 13: Hey, Vince, Hattie, Tom got a range report for you
[24:25] Speaker 13: with the GT. Thirty. Picked one up back in July.
[24:28] Speaker 13: Took it out a few times, and I took it
[24:30] Speaker 13: to our men's range range day for the cookout. That
[24:33] Speaker 13: was a hit out there. People enjoyed shooting it. But
[24:36] Speaker 13: I decided that I was going to use it for
[24:38] Speaker 13: hunting season for whitetail this year.
[24:40] Speaker 3: Okay, did you get the three to eight version?
[24:43] Speaker 13: Yes, sir, I got the three to eight Oh, okay, three
[24:46] Speaker 13: load for it, but I'm using the one hundred and
[24:50] Speaker 13: fifty grain Federal fusion.
[24:52] Speaker 3: Nice. That's a good load.
[24:54] Speaker 13: That's a good bullet, It's a good all around bullet.
[24:57] Speaker 13: I think I managed to get out the first weekend
[25:00] Speaker 13: a rifle. I had already taken my two bucks with
[25:03] Speaker 13: archery earlier in October, but I had my son out
[25:06] Speaker 13: in the stand with me and he shot a really
[25:09] Speaker 13: nice Oklahoma nine point with that rifle.
[25:13] Speaker 3: Oh okay, how'd it do?
[25:16] Speaker 6: It?
[25:16] Speaker 13: Did? Really well? He? Can you know it's light enough
[25:19] Speaker 13: that he could handle it. He held the rifle himself.
[25:21] Speaker 13: We were just up in the stand. We didn't have
[25:23] Speaker 13: a tripod or anything. Deer came in at forty five
[25:26] Speaker 13: yards and he put one through both lungs, and the
[25:29] Speaker 13: deer d about forty yards and piled up.
[25:32] Speaker 3: How old is your son?
[25:34] Speaker 13: He is ten years old?
[25:36] Speaker 6: Oh?
[25:37] Speaker 3: Was that his first?
[25:39] Speaker 13: He got a spike last year and this will be
[25:42] Speaker 13: his second.
[25:43] Speaker 3: Dear, excellent, good deal.
[25:45] Speaker 2: So all right, you've shot it, now, you've got other
[25:48] Speaker 2: people shoot it. Your son killed a deer with it.
[25:50] Speaker 2: What is your take now after having this kind of
[25:53] Speaker 2: experience with the Gt.
[25:54] Speaker 3: Thirty rifle?
[25:56] Speaker 13: Now, hold on, I'm not done with the experience. I'm
[25:58] Speaker 13: in took it out second week of rifle because I
[26:01] Speaker 13: still have a bunch of dough tags, and I took
[26:04] Speaker 13: my daughter out there, not to hunt, but just so
[26:06] Speaker 13: she could sit there in the stand with me. And
[26:09] Speaker 13: I had two dos come in front of me, and
[26:12] Speaker 13: I shot one of those and she dropped immediately and
[26:15] Speaker 13: her friend ran off. But then we waited in the
[26:18] Speaker 13: stand and she came sneaking back through the woods and
[26:21] Speaker 13: I shot her too.
[26:23] Speaker 3: So you're stacking them up with that rifle.
[26:26] Speaker 13: I got three so far this year. We may may
[26:29] Speaker 13: have more. We have a we have a late season
[26:31] Speaker 13: antler list season here in Oklahoma, and I can go
[26:35] Speaker 13: get two more and soaking the boy if we if
[26:37] Speaker 13: we can find them.
[26:39] Speaker 3: Well, it sounds like you're pretty happy with this rig.
[26:43] Speaker 13: It's working out pretty good. I like the Ruger. Americans
[26:46] Speaker 13: like the I like what they've done with the Gen two.
[26:49] Speaker 13: They fixed a few of the little follyballs that they
[26:52] Speaker 13: had with the Gen one. But it's a real nice rifle.
[26:56] Speaker 13: Even with the suppressor on it. It's short enough that
[26:59] Speaker 13: it's easily be handled. It's not super heavy. I've got
[27:04] Speaker 13: a number of optics on it to play with it.
[27:06] Speaker 3: It's all right.
[27:08] Speaker 2: So you're you're shooting with a suppressor with that Where
[27:10] Speaker 2: the did you use the suppressor when you're hanging?
[27:14] Speaker 13: Yes? I did? Oh okay yahm R two.
[27:19] Speaker 2: And that rifle, you're right, that rifle of having a
[27:22] Speaker 2: sixteen inch barrel putting in suppressure and it doesn't make
[27:24] Speaker 2: it too long. You can still shoot it out of
[27:26] Speaker 2: a blind and handle it there.
[27:28] Speaker 13: We've had it in the blind before. We moving it
[27:30] Speaker 13: around and it's it's not. You know, it is a
[27:33] Speaker 13: little bit long with the suppressor, but it's not drastically long.
[27:38] Speaker 2: No, exactly right. Well, that's a great range of for it,
[27:41] Speaker 2: Thank you, sir. I'm glad that it's working for you.
[27:45] Speaker 5: All right.
[27:45] Speaker 3: Let me go grab Bob and Colorado Pepo Colorado. Hey, Bob,
[27:50] Speaker 3: you got a good question here, so just go ahead
[27:52] Speaker 3: and throw it at me.
[27:54] Speaker 12: Well, right now, I'm a member of Rocky Mountain john
[27:57] Speaker 12: Owners and they're resident is the same president as National
[28:03] Speaker 12: Association for Gun Rights Brown, Yeah, Dudley Brown. Now, every
[28:11] Speaker 12: day I get solicitations from Rocky Mountain Gun Owners for
[28:17] Speaker 12: membership renewal, but I haven't seen where they have really
[28:23] Speaker 12: done much last year. And then I started getting a
[28:28] Speaker 12: couple solicitations from the National Association for Gun Rights and
[28:35] Speaker 12: I emailed both of them asking what they plan to
[28:41] Speaker 12: do next year, and I haven't even received replies as
[28:49] Speaker 12: to that. And with what's going on with our legislatory
[28:55] Speaker 12: here in Colorado, this is getting really ridiculous and somebody
[29:02] Speaker 12: needs to act and do something.
[29:05] Speaker 2: All right, So let me see, are you asking me
[29:08] Speaker 2: at this point my opinion of that.
[29:10] Speaker 12: Group that or how I should evaluate or if there
[29:16] Speaker 12: are other groups I should maybe look at. My primary
[29:23] Speaker 12: target is more the state of Colorado than nationally, just
[29:29] Speaker 12: because they're pressing so hard against the Second Amendment.
[29:36] Speaker 3: Right now, I understand exactly what you're saying.
[29:42] Speaker 2: I don't like to say things negative about gun rights groups,
[29:48] Speaker 2: but I'm just going to be real straight with you here.
[29:51] Speaker 2: Those two groups could be toward the bottom up a
[29:54] Speaker 2: list of groups I would spend money on for any
[29:57] Speaker 2: number of reasons if we don't need to go into
[29:59] Speaker 2: all of those, but National Association for Gun Rights and
[30:04] Speaker 2: the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners would be at or near
[30:07] Speaker 2: the very bottom of my list. I think, and look,
[30:12] Speaker 2: they're a little I get the sense they are a
[30:15] Speaker 2: little bit better than they used to be, but just
[30:19] Speaker 2: not say it a whole lot, because I think there
[30:20] Speaker 2: are some really better ones. I have a tendency, and
[30:24] Speaker 2: this is just the way I approach things and how
[30:26] Speaker 2: it hits me.
[30:29] Speaker 3: I have a tendency to be skeptical of.
[30:32] Speaker 2: Those who say we're the only no compromise group, we're
[30:38] Speaker 2: the only true believers. That if you're not a true
[30:41] Speaker 2: believer like we are, then you're part of the enemy.
[30:44] Speaker 2: I mean, those groups will anybody who disagrees with them
[30:48] Speaker 2: or is not one hundred percent they're only ninety percent
[30:50] Speaker 2: with them, then they're the enemy and they seek to
[30:53] Speaker 2: destroy them. And I've just seen this over and over again.
[30:56] Speaker 2: And it's not just those two groups. There are other
[30:58] Speaker 2: one other particular national group. I keep saying, we're there
[31:01] Speaker 2: only no compromise group, So well, you know what, no
[31:03] Speaker 2: compromise usually gets you a loss. So it's just the
[31:08] Speaker 2: practical side of me where I am willing to take
[31:11] Speaker 2: any type of a win and come back and get
[31:13] Speaker 2: more later, as opposed to turning down a partial win
[31:17] Speaker 2: and saying, you know, aren't we pure? I will tell
[31:20] Speaker 2: you I think most of that is pure fundraising effort
[31:24] Speaker 2: because we look tough. We're gonna fight for you. That's there.
[31:27] Speaker 2: Always hear this, We're fighting for you. Yeah, yeah, no,
[31:30] Speaker 2: actually you're fundraising. So I would say listen to your instincts.
[31:36] Speaker 2: If you're thinking there's something here that's not quite what
[31:38] Speaker 2: you think it should be, I would do a little
[31:41] Speaker 2: bit more looking around and see if there's not another
[31:44] Speaker 2: group in Colorado that can help you out. But on
[31:48] Speaker 2: national front, I mean I do like the Second Amendment Foundation.
[31:52] Speaker 2: I've been involved with them, for many, many years. I
[31:55] Speaker 2: think they do good work. Farmer's policy coalitions doing good
[31:58] Speaker 2: work too. They often tee up. Well, look, let me
[32:02] Speaker 2: ask you a question. Are you a member of the NRA. No, Well,
[32:10] Speaker 2: it's still the biggest, it's still the most influential. It's
[32:14] Speaker 2: the only group who ask people in Congress who are
[32:17] Speaker 2: talking to Congress. I would offer that for most of
[32:23] Speaker 2: the people who got out and understandably so when Wayne
[32:27] Speaker 2: was destroying the group, it's time to get back in.
[32:30] Speaker 2: And I would say, if you're looking for a home, honestly,
[32:34] Speaker 2: second foundation in NRA would be the two places that
[32:37] Speaker 2: my money personally goes to.
[32:40] Speaker 3: That's where I go.
[32:41] Speaker 2: I would just offer that you might want to take
[32:43] Speaker 2: a look at those as viable alternatives.
[32:45] Speaker 3: Does that make sense, Yeah.
[32:47] Speaker 12: It does. Would either one of those tend to target
[32:55] Speaker 12: Colorado specifically, not all the time right.
[33:00] Speaker 2: Actually, NRA would probably be better because they're going to
[33:05] Speaker 2: have regional reps who work at the legislature there, and
[33:11] Speaker 2: you can check with NRA and say, Okay, who's your
[33:14] Speaker 2: regional person who covers Colorado. How do I contact that
[33:17] Speaker 2: person and how do I get involved and be a
[33:19] Speaker 2: part of that. That would probably be my take. But look,
[33:24] Speaker 2: here's the deal. We're going to do this. We're going
[33:25] Speaker 2: to seek help. People often tell me I need to
[33:28] Speaker 2: seek help. Let's look for some suggestions. Some of the
[33:34] Speaker 2: listeners out there are going to say, well, this is
[33:36] Speaker 2: a group in Colorado you ought to be involved with,
[33:38] Speaker 2: or there's another group you ought to be concerned with,
[33:42] Speaker 2: or they may completely disagree with me. And look, I
[33:44] Speaker 2: appreciate the call. I got to keep scooting here, but
[33:46] Speaker 2: and if you disagree with me on my take on
[33:48] Speaker 2: any of these groups, call me and let me know.
[33:53] Speaker 3: This is not like totally right or wrong.
[33:55] Speaker 2: This is just my impression on things, having watched this
[33:59] Speaker 2: for a lot of years. So it's just kind of
[34:03] Speaker 2: where I am with this stuff. I'm looking here. Yeah,
[34:09] Speaker 2: I know Jim sending me all sorts of links to
[34:15] Speaker 2: National Association for Gun Rights in Rocky Mountain. Yeah, I
[34:18] Speaker 2: get it. Been following them for a long time and
[34:22] Speaker 2: kind of know the players. That's why I say in
[34:26] Speaker 2: the list of hierarchy, those would not be towards the top. Again,
[34:32] Speaker 2: and you may disagree, and if you do, please give
[34:34] Speaker 2: me a calle eade six to six talk gun or
[34:35] Speaker 2: Tom talk Gun. Let me know why you think that.
[34:40] Speaker 2: Here's the thought for you. You know, we got what
[34:43] Speaker 2: we can have to Christmas, not a long time, a
[34:45] Speaker 2: lot of time. And you may be thinking, well, it's
[34:49] Speaker 2: too late to order something for Christmas.
[34:51] Speaker 3: No it's not.
[34:53] Speaker 2: I'm gonna do the whole Joe Biden thing. I'll whisper
[34:56] Speaker 2: at you. No it's not, because you know why, you
[34:59] Speaker 2: can go go to your local gun store and they
[35:02] Speaker 2: have stuff on the shelves that you can buy and
[35:05] Speaker 2: don't have to order and don't have to worry about
[35:07] Speaker 2: when is it going to get delivered? If you go
[35:10] Speaker 2: to your local gun store, you know what you also
[35:13] Speaker 2: get when you go there, and it really is the
[35:16] Speaker 2: thing that is so much fun is you get to
[35:19] Speaker 2: walk up and down the aisles and discover things things
[35:24] Speaker 2: that you're going, what is that?
[35:27] Speaker 3: And you pick it up, you look at it, you go,
[35:29] Speaker 3: that looks cool. I didn't even know that thing was
[35:32] Speaker 3: a thing up you know, you know it follows right
[35:35] Speaker 3: for that right, well, I think I gotta have that.
[35:39] Speaker 2: And you had to throw it in the basket and
[35:41] Speaker 2: then you walk down the aisle and go, huh forty
[35:44] Speaker 2: one magnum huh had buddy forty one Magnamama in a while,
[35:49] Speaker 2: pick a grab a box or electronic shooting muffs. Yeah,
[35:55] Speaker 2: mine are getting pretty rady and old in the ear
[35:58] Speaker 2: muffs or the seals or you know. For another fifty bucks,
[36:02] Speaker 2: buy another set. Why you're at it, buy two sets
[36:06] Speaker 2: and electronic ear muffs, one for you and one for
[36:08] Speaker 2: the person you shoot with, whether it's your wife, your husband,
[36:11] Speaker 2: or your buddy, your kids, whatever. It really makes shooting
[36:16] Speaker 2: so much more pleasant, and I would offer very possibly
[36:22] Speaker 2: it helps make shooting safer. Well, how could shooting muffs
[36:25] Speaker 2: make them safer? Not just for protecting your hearing? Because
[36:29] Speaker 2: you can hear other people, you can see or see,
[36:31] Speaker 2: You can hear what's going on around you. You can
[36:34] Speaker 2: be aware of rains, commands, you know what else you
[36:39] Speaker 2: can hear. And if you're an instructor, you know exactly
[36:42] Speaker 2: what I'm talking about here. You could hear somebody working
[36:46] Speaker 2: a slide behind you who shouldn't be handling a gun
[36:49] Speaker 2: back behind the line, and you can turn around and
[36:52] Speaker 2: say stop that. You can hear what's going on because
[36:57] Speaker 2: it amplifies the sound, but it cuts out gun noise.
[37:02] Speaker 3: Cool.
[37:03] Speaker 2: So I'm just telling you in the what roughly ten days.
[37:08] Speaker 2: I haven't added up between now and Christmas. Get to
[37:12] Speaker 2: your local gun store. They need the business. They would
[37:15] Speaker 2: appreciate the business. You're doing them a good thing. You're
[37:18] Speaker 2: making sure your gun store stays in business. And at
[37:20] Speaker 2: the same time you can discover some really cool stuff.
[37:25] Speaker 2: So just food for thought for you there. What else
[37:29] Speaker 2: If you're thinking, Okay, I want to add some things
[37:31] Speaker 2: to my Christmas list, what would you add to it?
[37:34] Speaker 3: Right now?
[37:35] Speaker 2: From the gun side, of course, the shooting side, I
[37:38] Speaker 2: would love to get that. Take eighty six to six
[37:40] Speaker 2: talk gun. I ran into something. How much time we
[37:43] Speaker 2: got here, Jim before I get into the story? Okay,
[37:46] Speaker 2: this is perfect, and I ran into something recently. Language
[37:50] Speaker 2: is important. We cannot give up the language. We cannot
[37:54] Speaker 2: give up the anti gunners use these words and.
[37:57] Speaker 3: They say a saw weapon, and we're stupid if we
[37:59] Speaker 3: keep a pre that.
[38:01] Speaker 2: But when we have a perfectly good word and we
[38:04] Speaker 2: think it might offend somebody to use that word, what
[38:07] Speaker 2: are we doing to give it up? Recently, we were
[38:09] Speaker 2: into two instances of people in our industry. I'm not
[38:13] Speaker 2: going to tell you who because I don't want to
[38:15] Speaker 2: embarrass him. Because we're going to work on him, basically
[38:18] Speaker 2: saying they won't use the word shooter anymore. They won't
[38:24] Speaker 2: use the word shooter. You know, in competition we say shooter. Ready, Yeah,
[38:29] Speaker 2: I'm not gonna do that because in the media they
[38:34] Speaker 2: talk about he was a shooter, he was a mass shooter,
[38:36] Speaker 2: he was a shooter. I'm sorry. If you shoot, you're
[38:39] Speaker 2: a shooter. If we are doing long range shooting, we're shooters.
[38:43] Speaker 2: If we're doing pistol shooting, we're shooters. It's a perfectly
[38:47] Speaker 2: good word. And for us to voluntarily acquiesce to this
[38:52] Speaker 2: and say, you know, oh, that's a terrible word. Shooter
[38:55] Speaker 2: connotes crime, shooter connotes evil. No shooter cannotes sending range
[39:02] Speaker 2: bullets down range, and we do that in a safe
[39:05] Speaker 2: manner more than a million times every single day.
[39:10] Speaker 3: I will not give up this word.
[39:13] Speaker 2: I'm a shooter, you're a shooter, and that's a perfect
[39:16] Speaker 2: good word. To give it up is the height of folly.
[39:19] Speaker 2: They'll just find the next thing to try to get.
[39:21] Speaker 3: You to deckt with us on.
[39:28] Speaker 2: As we keep getting news about the mess murder in
[39:32] Speaker 2: Australia at Bondi Beach. Now they're saying the two shooters
[39:36] Speaker 2: there may have been three, but right now they're saying two.
[39:39] Speaker 2: They're saying they were a father and son. Father fifty
[39:41] Speaker 2: years old. He was shot and killed by the police.
[39:43] Speaker 2: The son is in critical condition. He's twenty four. It's
[39:46] Speaker 2: the critical but stable condition. Interesting twist. We'll find out
[39:50] Speaker 2: more about that as it goes along. Mine, too, deals
[39:52] Speaker 2: with us out of Denver, Colorado. Hey, Billy, you're on
[39:56] Speaker 2: gun Talk.
[39:57] Speaker 6: How can we offer you happy holiday song? Thank you,
[40:00] Speaker 6: thank you? Yeah. Calling back your comics last week about
[40:04] Speaker 6: the Department of Justice and the Civil Rights Division. I
[40:07] Speaker 6: have filed several cases with him about gun laws in
[40:10] Speaker 6: my blue state that I feel are against by civil rights,
[40:13] Speaker 6: constitutional rights, or are just plainly illegal. I think we
[40:16] Speaker 6: need to take advantage of this time when we wines
[40:19] Speaker 6: that are back and give the Department of Justice attorneys
[40:22] Speaker 6: as much fodder as as possible to prostitute these cases.
[40:26] Speaker 6: And I'm not an attorney. What I do is I
[40:28] Speaker 6: try and find the applicable law, and I paste that
[40:31] Speaker 6: into the web page and describe how I feel that
[40:34] Speaker 6: it violates one of those three things. So I would
[40:36] Speaker 6: encourage everyone to do that, and let's flood these people
[40:39] Speaker 6: and give something to work with.
[40:43] Speaker 3: I'm curious, do you think they are unaware of what's
[40:47] Speaker 3: going on.
[40:49] Speaker 6: Well, there's a lot of state laws in the municipal
[40:52] Speaker 6: laws that they may not be aware of or may
[40:54] Speaker 6: not be a high priority.
[40:56] Speaker 2: Okay, So give me just one example of what you're
[40:59] Speaker 2: talking about.
[41:01] Speaker 6: Am I saying it's illegal to own ann or fifteen?
[41:07] Speaker 6: So I went into the municipal code and copied that
[41:10] Speaker 6: lawn and put that into the website. And it's really
[41:12] Speaker 6: either too whether they take action on it or not.
[41:15] Speaker 6: That stuff to them, But I'm just trying to get
[41:17] Speaker 6: something to work with.
[41:18] Speaker 3: Okay, I mean, it's not doing any harm.
[41:21] Speaker 2: I'm also fairly sure it's not doing a whole lot
[41:24] Speaker 2: of good because they are quite aware that Colorado does
[41:28] Speaker 2: not let you have an AR fifteen and they definitely
[41:31] Speaker 2: taking action on that. And we're pursuing those cases up
[41:34] Speaker 2: to and trying to get that case even right now
[41:38] Speaker 2: accepted by the Supreme Court, get them the grants certain
[41:41] Speaker 2: on it.
[41:41] Speaker 3: So they're certainly aware of that.
[41:43] Speaker 2: As I say, I don't think it hurts, but I'm
[41:46] Speaker 2: not sure how much it helps. But look, I appreciate
[41:48] Speaker 2: you being involved in looking up stuff, and you know,
[41:51] Speaker 2: who knows one of those deals of if it doesn't hurt,
[41:54] Speaker 2: then it probably does help. I appreciate that. The main
[41:59] Speaker 2: thing is, I will say this for Bill, he has
[42:02] Speaker 2: made a commitment to be involved. A lot of people
[42:06] Speaker 2: sit on the sidelines and say, boy, I wish they
[42:09] Speaker 2: would do something. Used to be well, the NR should
[42:13] Speaker 2: do that. Now it's you know, GA should do that,
[42:17] Speaker 2: SAF should do that, those other groups should do that.
[42:19] Speaker 3: There's not they, There's only us. There's you and me.
[42:23] Speaker 2: And you know what that really means. Honestly, it's just
[42:27] Speaker 2: you and for me, it's just me. Because I can't
[42:31] Speaker 2: do anything for you. I can't make you do anything.
[42:34] Speaker 2: I can't have somebody else do that. I would offer
[42:41] Speaker 2: that it's irresponsible and lazy to expect somebody else to
[42:46] Speaker 2: do my work for me.
[42:49] Speaker 3: This is my job. It's my job.
[42:53] Speaker 2: To be an activist, to speak up, to show up,
[42:57] Speaker 2: to write a check to make it own nation, to
[43:01] Speaker 2: volunteer for a local candidate, to go door to door,
[43:04] Speaker 2: to put up signs to get the right people elected
[43:08] Speaker 2: at the local level, at the state level.
[43:11] Speaker 3: There's nobody else's job to do that. It's my job
[43:16] Speaker 3: and it's your job. It's the individual's job. So it
[43:20] Speaker 3: is the height of laziness, isn't it. I mean, wouldn't
[43:23] Speaker 3: you agree with me to say they should do that
[43:25] Speaker 3: some other they?
[43:28] Speaker 2: You say, why I don't have the ability to We
[43:30] Speaker 2: all have an ability to do something, whatever that is,
[43:34] Speaker 2: write a check, show up, volunteer, work the phones, do something.
[43:39] Speaker 2: But that whole day should do something. Yeah, it bothers me.
[43:42] Speaker 2: You can tell that it's one of my pet peas,
[43:45] Speaker 2: and really it's up to me, me to get off
[43:49] Speaker 2: my rear ends. You know that also means up to
[43:51] Speaker 2: you to get off your We'll be right back with
[43:56] Speaker 2: more gun talks.
