[0:30] Speaker 3: Hey, welcome back to gun Talk Tom Gresh here. Of course,
[0:33] Speaker 3: if you want to join us, it's easy as it
[0:35] Speaker 3: can be. Eight six six Talk Gun Just give us
[0:37] Speaker 3: a call. We're looking for a range of ports where
[0:39] Speaker 3: you've been to shooting. If you buy anything, you gotta
[0:42] Speaker 3: just a crazy interesting story. We're just sitting around the
[0:44] Speaker 3: digital campfire here and talking about guns and everything else. Well,
[0:48] Speaker 3: you know, of course, coming right up next week, we're
[0:50] Speaker 3: going to the NRA show down in Houston, and look,
[0:52] Speaker 3: if you've got to be there, by all means, if
[0:54] Speaker 3: you see me, flag me down. I'm going to be
[0:56] Speaker 3: doing the show live on Sunday from the Ruger Booth.
[0:59] Speaker 3: But I'll be walk around the show and you know
[1:01] Speaker 3: there's lots of stuff going on. I just learned of
[1:03] Speaker 3: something that I did not know that was going to
[1:06] Speaker 3: be going on. Kevin Wilson joined us right now from Davidson's,
[1:09] Speaker 3: which is also Kevin. I guess for most people it's
[1:11] Speaker 3: Gallery of Guns because Davidson's is a distributor. You wan't
[1:15] Speaker 3: explain what that is.
[1:16] Speaker 4: Yeah, Basically, Davidson's is a national wholesaler. We do firearms, optics, suppressors, cutlery,
[1:25] Speaker 4: am but we sell primarily to FFL retailers and then
[1:31] Speaker 4: our consumer website, Galleryofguns dot com. The way that works
[1:36] Speaker 4: is consumers can access our inventory, You find a gun
[1:40] Speaker 4: that you like, and we're going to give you an
[1:44] Speaker 4: instant quote from all the local dealers in your area.
[1:48] Speaker 3: Oh and you get you get multiple quotes, just depending
[1:52] Speaker 3: on what that dealer wants to do.
[1:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, because we don't set prices.
[1:56] Speaker 3: For the dealer. Okay, the dealer.
[1:58] Speaker 4: The dealer sets their own price. You punch in your
[2:01] Speaker 4: zip code and we'll show you here's all the dealers
[2:04] Speaker 4: within twenty five miles or fifty miles. You can set
[2:08] Speaker 4: that and then you can see what they're pricing that
[2:12] Speaker 4: gun at. And you say, okay, I want to go here,
[2:17] Speaker 4: you give us a little small deposit, and we'll ship
[2:20] Speaker 4: that gun to that dealer that you selected, and then
[2:23] Speaker 4: you go pay them the balance and do the next check,
[2:27] Speaker 4: do all the paperwork, and you pick it up from
[2:30] Speaker 4: your local dealer.
[2:31] Speaker 3: How long does that usually take?
[2:34] Speaker 4: About forty eight hours? What I mean, very often we'll
[2:38] Speaker 4: get that gun out the day you order.
[2:40] Speaker 3: It, so it's sitting at your dealer within Well, let's
[2:44] Speaker 3: just be generous. Two to five days, that's unreasonable.
[2:47] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, five days is kind of a stretch, but yeah,
[2:50] Speaker 4: two or three days is going to be ready for
[2:52] Speaker 4: you to come get it.
[2:54] Speaker 3: You know, it's not like you hadn't thought of this,
[2:56] Speaker 3: but just to think about this for people to understand
[2:59] Speaker 3: what that means is even if you got a little
[3:02] Speaker 3: bitty gun store and they don't have room for anything,
[3:06] Speaker 3: they don't have any inventory, they actually have a massive
[3:08] Speaker 3: inventory because they've got all your inventory exactly.
[3:12] Speaker 4: We're kind of like their virtual warehouse. And you're absolutely right,
[3:16] Speaker 4: Mom and pop gun store. They're not gonna have five
[3:19] Speaker 4: thousand guns in stop, Nope, but they can get it
[3:24] Speaker 4: and you don't even have to you just you walk
[3:27] Speaker 4: through gallery of guns, you're basically shopping Davidson's warehouse. The
[3:33] Speaker 4: local dealer might have let's say one hundred guns in stop. Well,
[3:38] Speaker 4: we got probably thirteen thousand different SKUs ready to go.
[3:42] Speaker 3: Okay, well, and then you've got something else. And I
[3:45] Speaker 3: want to go ahead and tease this because in a minute,
[3:47] Speaker 3: we're going to tell people about a special thing that's
[3:49] Speaker 3: coming up, like in the next few days where they
[3:51] Speaker 3: can really take advantage of this. But you have you
[3:55] Speaker 3: actually have guns that nobody else has because you've got
[3:57] Speaker 3: your exclusives. Where do you work out something with these
[4:01] Speaker 3: manufacturers and it might be a different color or a
[4:05] Speaker 3: different finish, but it might be just a different configuration
[4:07] Speaker 3: of a gun completely it's not vable anywhere else.
[4:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, we've been doing that for many decades. We've got
[4:15] Speaker 4: people in house that are lifelong gun people. What we
[4:20] Speaker 4: do is we work with a manufacturer on a design
[4:24] Speaker 4: and it might be one of their existing models, but
[4:28] Speaker 4: we would like it with these sites, and we would
[4:30] Speaker 4: like it in this calibory.
[4:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, or this barrel length or whatever. Yeah.
[4:34] Speaker 4: Right, So we get them to make that for us
[4:39] Speaker 4: and that becomes our exclusive. You can get it nowhere
[4:42] Speaker 4: else except either Davidson's or Gallery of Guns or your
[4:47] Speaker 4: local FFL retailer that gets it from.
[4:50] Speaker 3: Us, right if they stocked it.
[4:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, at any given moment, we might have thirty or
[4:55] Speaker 4: forty exclusives adjusts with Ruger, but we do it with
[5:00] Speaker 4: bunch of brands. We just love doing that, especially like
[5:05] Speaker 4: if a new gun comes out, like when Ruger came
[5:07] Speaker 4: out with the RXm, well we immediately, hey, we need
[5:11] Speaker 4: to do some exclusive versions of this. So we did
[5:15] Speaker 4: some different color ways, we did some saraco, we did
[5:18] Speaker 4: threaded barrels, and we just have a lot of fun
[5:21] Speaker 4: with it. And the thing with Galleryofguns dot Com, there's
[5:25] Speaker 4: no transfer fee because we consider that a sale for
[5:30] Speaker 4: that dealer.
[5:31] Speaker 3: Whoa Okay, that could be anywhere from twenty five to
[5:35] Speaker 3: fifty bucks for transferable easily easily. Wow, Okay, I did
[5:40] Speaker 3: not know that. All right, we got to go ahead
[5:43] Speaker 3: and unleash this thing here because I just learned this
[5:45] Speaker 3: before we got on the here, that you're doing something
[5:48] Speaker 3: pretty cool at the end our ratio.
[5:50] Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a couple of things going on. First of all,
[5:53] Speaker 4: we haven't had a booth there for several years, but
[5:56] Speaker 4: this year we're going to be there in force. We'll
[5:58] Speaker 4: have a booth on the floor. You can actually place
[6:02] Speaker 4: orders at that booth, which is exactly the way you
[6:05] Speaker 4: would do it online, but you'll be able to see
[6:08] Speaker 4: touch the guns. All the manufacturers, the ones that participate
[6:13] Speaker 4: with us, you check out the guns in their booth,
[6:16] Speaker 4: and you can come straight over to ours in order
[6:19] Speaker 4: it that day.
[6:19] Speaker 3: Oh okay, So I could go to Ruger booth or
[6:22] Speaker 3: Smith and Wesson booth and say, handle the guns. So
[6:24] Speaker 3: that's cool. I really like that. I want that and
[6:26] Speaker 3: literally just walk over your booth and place the order.
[6:29] Speaker 3: And it could be depending on how long it takes
[6:31] Speaker 3: you to get home, it could be at the gun
[6:33] Speaker 3: store before you get home.
[6:35] Speaker 4: It could actually if you're there for all three or
[6:37] Speaker 4: four days, that gun could be at your dealer before
[6:40] Speaker 4: you even get home. Will be the only place you
[6:45] Speaker 4: can actually purchase a firearm at the show.
[6:49] Speaker 3: That's pretty neat A good deal, all right. So what
[6:52] Speaker 3: else you got cooking?
[6:53] Speaker 4: Well, we got some new exclusives. I know the last
[6:55] Speaker 4: time I talked to you, we were talking a lot
[6:58] Speaker 4: about revolvers, and since then we have had a couple
[7:02] Speaker 4: of different exclusives with Smith and West, and we came
[7:06] Speaker 4: out with a Model ninety, which is a jayframe that
[7:10] Speaker 4: shoots nine millimere.
[7:12] Speaker 3: Oh you know I like that a lot and a
[7:15] Speaker 3: lot of people are going to wonder why. But let
[7:18] Speaker 3: me tell you, man, do you get that thing with
[7:20] Speaker 3: moon clips full moon clips that is a fast load
[7:23] Speaker 3: and revolver.
[7:24] Speaker 4: Yep, it comes with three moon clips. It's got a
[7:27] Speaker 4: really nice VZ diamond black cherry grips, it's got a
[7:32] Speaker 4: night sight on the front, it's got a fluted barrel.
[7:34] Speaker 4: It's just a really sweet looking gun.
[7:37] Speaker 3: Sweet.
[7:38] Speaker 4: Okay, that's not all. We did a Performance Center shield X.
[7:43] Speaker 4: Remember when they came out with the Spec five. Yeah,
[7:46] Speaker 4: I had that PVD blue accent, right. We did that
[7:51] Speaker 4: with the shield X and they're both threaded. One comes
[7:55] Speaker 4: with a thread protector, the other one comes with a compensator.
[8:01] Speaker 4: And those just came out within the last month or so.
[8:05] Speaker 4: But one thing that pretty excited about. And we're going
[8:09] Speaker 4: to launch this on the thirteenth, but it will launch
[8:12] Speaker 4: for official sale the first day of Nrashow on April sixteenth.
[8:17] Speaker 3: Okay, so people listening to this right now, they're getting
[8:19] Speaker 3: the heads up on this ahead of everybody else.
[8:22] Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm kind of going a day early, but I
[8:24] Speaker 4: hope I won't get in trouble. We've teamed up with
[8:29] Speaker 4: Tandem Cross, and Tandem Cross for years has been making
[8:35] Speaker 4: really upper end rim fire parts, trigger groups, mag wells,
[8:43] Speaker 4: all kinds of upgrades for rim fire guns. Well, they
[8:48] Speaker 4: came out for the first time with a complete rifle
[8:53] Speaker 4: and it's called the TK x twenty two Light Rifle.
[8:57] Speaker 4: And we will be the elusive distributor of that gun,
[9:03] Speaker 4: and we'll have it in stock and ready for sale
[9:06] Speaker 4: first day of NRA.
[9:07] Speaker 3: So what kind of rifles A semiauto bolt is this?
[9:11] Speaker 5: It's semi auto.
[9:12] Speaker 4: The only part on the gun not made by Tandem
[9:16] Speaker 4: Cross is the stock, and that is a magpull X
[9:19] Speaker 4: twenty two stock man. It is just full of high
[9:23] Speaker 4: end features and one of the things the reason they
[9:25] Speaker 4: call it a light rifle, it weighs three pounds six
[9:30] Speaker 4: ounces wow, which is absolutely nothing, but it's yeah, it's
[9:36] Speaker 4: stuff full of Tandem Crosses, the premium parts that they've
[9:40] Speaker 4: been selling and developing and manufacturing. They made this whole complete.
[9:45] Speaker 3: Rifle out of it.
[9:46] Speaker 6: So it's got.
[9:47] Speaker 4: Tkx twenty two receivers, got a spitfire lightweight barrel and
[9:52] Speaker 4: that has a tension to barrel's sleeve on it that
[9:54] Speaker 4: has mlock slots built into it, manicore light trigger assembly,
[10:00] Speaker 4: crossfire bolt, spartan charge and handle. And I don't know
[10:04] Speaker 4: if you've seen this, but they make something they call
[10:07] Speaker 4: the double Cross magazine. No, it is a double ended
[10:13] Speaker 4: rotary mag for twenty two long rifle. So you stick
[10:17] Speaker 4: it in, you shoot the ten shots, you pull it
[10:21] Speaker 4: out and just turn it over and there's another ten.
[10:25] Speaker 3: It's a rotary magazine. Illah Rugerten twenty two.
[10:29] Speaker 4: Yep, and it looks picture the number eight.
[10:33] Speaker 3: You got dary like top two of them. It took
[10:36] Speaker 3: two of them, glued them together exactly, twut the bottoms
[10:40] Speaker 3: together and just pop it out swapping around. Yep. Brilliant.
[10:43] Speaker 3: All right, keV, you're buried the league. What's this thing cost?
[10:47] Speaker 4: Retail is going to be right around fourteen fifteen hundred, okay,
[10:52] Speaker 4: and it's worth every penny. We just had a media
[10:55] Speaker 4: event at Gunside Academy and we shot this thing.
[10:59] Speaker 3: All all day long.
[11:01] Speaker 4: And what sealed it for me was seeing the smiles
[11:06] Speaker 4: on these people's face. They would shoot this gun and
[11:10] Speaker 4: they just turn around and grand here to hear that's terrific.
[11:14] Speaker 3: Well what a fun deal. Well, and I was just
[11:16] Speaker 3: going to say, and if they want to see that
[11:18] Speaker 3: and everything else, you guys should do in galleryguns dot Com.
[11:20] Speaker 3: Pretty easy there. And also if you're going to be
[11:22] Speaker 3: in Houston at the NRA show, and honestly, if you're
[11:25] Speaker 3: in the area at all, if you've never been to
[11:27] Speaker 3: an NRA Annual meeting, the Angle show, it's phenomenal. It's like, say, man,
[11:31] Speaker 3: you get to go to the Shot Show, except nobody
[11:33] Speaker 3: can get to go to the Shot Show unless you've
[11:34] Speaker 3: been in the business. But you go to this thing
[11:36] Speaker 3: and got all these manufacturers that they are showing their wares.
[11:40] Speaker 4: It's pretty much the consumer version of shot Show.
[11:43] Speaker 3: You're right, it really is. Well, this is terrific, and
[11:46] Speaker 3: I appreciate you letting the cat out of the bag

[13:18] Speaker 9: the body diameter. The result is increased powder capacity and

[14:51] Speaker 3: I want to run something past you get some response
[14:55] Speaker 3: or input on this. Got had a fault a few
[14:58] Speaker 3: days ago, just running this around in my head that
[15:00] Speaker 3: it eas to get out. As simple as that baseline is.
[15:05] Speaker 3: We're talking about the midterm elections for a second. They're
[15:08] Speaker 3: coming up November. My sense is that Democrats are more
[15:14] Speaker 3: energized about the midterms than are Republicans, Liberals much more
[15:20] Speaker 3: energized about it than conservatives. Conservatives kind of my take, Okay,
[15:25] Speaker 3: you may not agree, but my take is kind of
[15:28] Speaker 3: live and let live. I'm not going to tell anybody
[15:30] Speaker 3: how to live their life. I don't want anybody to
[15:31] Speaker 3: tell me how to live my life. Liberals on the
[15:33] Speaker 3: other end, say yeah, you have to live your life
[15:35] Speaker 3: the way I tell you or else. Yeah, I know.
[15:38] Speaker 3: It's going to take off my liberal friends. That's okay.
[15:43] Speaker 3: Where I'm going with this is I think that some
[15:50] Speaker 3: of the online chatter, online talk from supposed gun rights
[15:56] Speaker 3: people second amendment supporters are going to hurt our efforts
[16:02] Speaker 3: are being second mind supporters and the midterms. What I
[16:07] Speaker 3: mean by that is, if the key to winning in
[16:12] Speaker 3: the midterm elections is to get out the vote, is
[16:15] Speaker 3: to get engagement, is to get activity going is to
[16:18] Speaker 3: get people to go vote. Then if you tamp down
[16:25] Speaker 3: on their enthusiasm, if you make them feel bad about
[16:29] Speaker 3: their choices, if they if you make them feel bad
[16:31] Speaker 3: about the leadership of the party, then I think a
[16:35] Speaker 3: lot of them won't go vote. So that brings me
[16:38] Speaker 3: to what I see right now. There's a lot of
[16:42] Speaker 3: online chest thumping making yourself feel important or big or whatever.
[16:53] Speaker 3: By putting down President Trump, people say, well, you know,
[17:00] Speaker 3: he's not really pro Second Amendment. And I make the statement,
[17:03] Speaker 3: I said, you know, look, he is the most pro
[17:05] Speaker 3: Second Amendment present we have had in fifty years, probably
[17:10] Speaker 3: one hundred years. I can't think of one. This is
[17:13] Speaker 3: any better. People to say, yeah, I can't believe he
[17:16] Speaker 3: said that because he didn't do this, and he didn't
[17:18] Speaker 3: do that. His Justice Department did that, right, I get it.
[17:22] Speaker 3: I understand we had and have high hopes. Unfortunately, I
[17:29] Speaker 3: think a lot of people on our thought had very
[17:32] Speaker 3: unrealistic hopes, thinking we could get rid of every gun
[17:37] Speaker 3: control all there is ain't gonna happen. But we've gotten
[17:41] Speaker 3: rid of a lot of them, and the process of continuing,
[17:46] Speaker 3: we're getting a lot of good action out of harmony
[17:48] Speaker 3: Dylon and that Second Amendment section within the Civil Rights
[17:53] Speaker 3: Division at the Department of Justice, And yes, I know,
[17:56] Speaker 3: what Pam Bondi had been doing is like schizophrenia over there.
[18:00] Speaker 3: And she's she had been she's been fired by the
[18:03] Speaker 3: way she had been supporting gun control laws that may
[18:08] Speaker 3: change under a new attorney general, may not. But even
[18:11] Speaker 3: with that, even with that, and you say, yeah, but yeah,
[18:15] Speaker 3: I know, the yeah butts are killer and shortsighted, and
[18:22] Speaker 3: just can I just say it, just dumb. Yes, you're
[18:26] Speaker 3: not going to get everything you want. We are not
[18:29] Speaker 3: going to win every one of these. But if we
[18:32] Speaker 3: are winning some, if we're getting the Justice Department filing
[18:34] Speaker 3: good briefs in court cases, if we're getting atf removing restrictions,
[18:41] Speaker 3: which they are doing and have been doing, we're making
[18:46] Speaker 3: a lot of progress. And if you are not aware
[18:49] Speaker 3: of that, you're just looking at the wrong places online.
[18:52] Speaker 3: You've fallen into the echo chamber of yeah, but Trump,
[18:57] Speaker 3: Yeah but Trump hasn't done this, but Trump hasn't done that.
[19:00] Speaker 3: What does that connect to? What do I mean about
[19:03] Speaker 3: that effecting the midterms? It means simply this, You're talking
[19:09] Speaker 3: a lot of Second Amendment supporters into a funk and say, well,
[19:13] Speaker 3: why would I support the Republicans because they haven't done everything. Yeah,
[19:18] Speaker 3: I know they've done some things, but they haven't done everything.
[19:20] Speaker 3: And in some cases I run into people who don't
[19:22] Speaker 3: know anything, they've done, anything that the White House has done. Well,
[19:29] Speaker 3: if you are unaware, I'm sorry, you're just not paying attention.
[19:34] Speaker 3: You need better information sources. And I worry, and I
[19:41] Speaker 3: don't want to say fear that may be going too far,
[19:43] Speaker 3: but I worry that we in our chest thumping I'm important.
[19:47] Speaker 3: I'm going to talk down about Trump. I'm going to
[19:50] Speaker 3: bad mouth him and the Department of Justice. I'm going
[19:52] Speaker 3: to beat up on Pam BONDI, who yeah, is no
[19:54] Speaker 3: longer there. In the process, you're going to get a
[19:58] Speaker 3: lot of people say, why bother? Why would I bother
[20:01] Speaker 3: to show up? They said they were going to do
[20:03] Speaker 3: things to us, and they didn't do it. They didn't
[20:05] Speaker 3: provide you know, they didn't come through on second moment.
[20:07] Speaker 3: Yes they did, they just didn't give you everything yet.
[20:11] Speaker 3: And we're never gonna get everything. Okay, let's just get
[20:14] Speaker 3: over that. But we made such progress. So I guess
[20:21] Speaker 3: what I would ask is to take a fresh look
[20:25] Speaker 3: at where you're hanging out online and who you're talking
[20:28] Speaker 3: to and who you're being influenced by. And yes, remember
[20:31] Speaker 3: that some times gun rights groups get you fired up
[20:38] Speaker 3: and angry as a way of getting your money there.
[20:43] Speaker 3: I've said it. They want you mad at Donald Trump,
[20:52] Speaker 3: they want you mad at other gun rights groups so
[20:57] Speaker 3: that you'll join their group and give them money. Yes,
[21:01] Speaker 3: that's a reality. You got to know when you're being played,
[21:05] Speaker 3: simple as that. You got to pay attention to what
[21:09] Speaker 3: the message is, who it's coming from, and what the
[21:12] Speaker 3: motivation is behind it. It may not be that they
[21:18] Speaker 3: really want your activism and what they really want is
[21:23] Speaker 3: your bank account. Just saying okay, so maybe perhaps yeah,
[21:32] Speaker 3: I know I just wishful thinking on my part, But
[21:34] Speaker 3: you could get more gun rights people to start paying
[21:37] Speaker 3: attention to the good things that are going on, to
[21:39] Speaker 3: be well informed, to follow the right people on X.
[21:42] Speaker 3: Follow me on X. I'll lead you to the right places.
[21:45] Speaker 3: I'm at gun talk on X. It may be the
[21:48] Speaker 3: single best resource for finding out what's going on in
[21:51] Speaker 3: second amendmic. Gun right stuff seriously used to be Twitter.
[21:55] Speaker 3: Now it's called x X dot com. Follow me, I'm
[21:58] Speaker 3: at gun Talk over there. I will lead you to
[22:01] Speaker 3: the right places. I will show you the news, the
[22:05] Speaker 3: actual facts, not the claims, and you may find out
[22:09] Speaker 3: that things are a lot better than you think they
[22:11] Speaker 3: are than you've been led to believe. If we can
[22:14] Speaker 3: maybe get people to understand that we are actually winning
[22:17] Speaker 3: on many fronts, we can motivate people to get out there,
[22:20] Speaker 3: because trust me, if we lose a bunch in the midterms,
[22:24] Speaker 3: it's going to be really really ugly, simplest thing. Eight
[22:29] Speaker 3: six' Six Talk. Gun what's your? Take all? Right we'll
[22:40] Speaker 3: open lines. Now if you're want to give me a,

[23:25] Speaker 5: WORLD i want to say how HAPPY i am to
[23:29] Speaker 5: welcome anyone who comes to THE nra. Show last time
[23:33] Speaker 5: it was canceled out by Our democrat, mayor supposedly FOR,
[23:36] Speaker 5: covid but there were two conventions before it and after it. Too,
[23:40] Speaker 5: anyway my THING i want to mention any military. Veterans
[23:46] Speaker 5: april fifteen through the twenty, second the first time, ever
[23:50] Speaker 5: we're going to Have Fleet week here In galveston Slash,
[23:52] Speaker 5: houston And i've been emailing THE nra hoping that they'll cross.
[23:59] Speaker 5: Promoted BUT i did get this bit that there will
[24:03] Speaker 5: be a shuttle from The GEORGE. R brown down To,
[24:06] Speaker 5: galveston which is almost a fifty mile. Jump AND i
[24:11] Speaker 5: don't know if that's strictly for uniform MILITARY id carrying
[24:15] Speaker 5: military or if it's for, anybody but you're going to
[24:20] Speaker 5: be able to see some ships and greet The navy.
[24:24] Speaker 5: Men the, sailment the. SAILORS i was told it's correctly pronounced,
[24:29] Speaker 5: right and it's going to be a wonderful. Time and
[24:33] Speaker 5: anybody who's, coming if you got a day before or
[24:36] Speaker 5: three days after fifteenth through the twenty Second Navy Fleet,
[24:41] Speaker 5: week AND i Believe army And marines are going to
[24:44] Speaker 5: be here as. Well there will be a air show
[24:47] Speaker 5: at The Ellington, field which used to be An Air
[24:50] Speaker 5: force base south Of houston but in Between galveston And
[24:56] Speaker 5: houston On, friday BUT i know that conflicts with.
[24:59] Speaker 3: Them have you ever been To Fleet?
[25:01] Speaker 5: Week i'm, sorry have you ever been To Fleet week? Before, no,
[25:07] Speaker 5: SIR i am, thrilled thrilled to be able to experience
[25:09] Speaker 5: it that right experience shacking your hand on the floor
[25:14] Speaker 5: There thursday Or. Friday, yeah light me, down.
[25:17] Speaker 3: YEAH i mean look, seriously if you see me, there
[25:19] Speaker 3: just flag me. Down look TO i hate to. DEAR
[25:21] Speaker 3: i got to keep running because all of a sudden
[25:23] Speaker 3: the phones have lit up or light it, UP i
[25:25] Speaker 3: don't know what it. Is, anyway we Got joe In, Hayes.
[25:28] Speaker 3: Kansas Hey, joe what'd you been? Shooting?
[25:33] Speaker 12: Hey? TOM i ordered a and received A wildcat supporter
[25:39] Speaker 12: From Fas farms here In, Hayes, kansas and my range
[25:44] Speaker 12: report is at twenty five. Meters that little twenty two
[25:48] Speaker 12: long rifle shot a three inch pad and right out
[25:50] Speaker 12: of the.
[25:50] Speaker 3: Box so tell me about this. GUN i don't know about.
[25:53] Speaker 12: It, okay it's it's basically a wildcat with a wooden
[26:01] Speaker 12: Stock winchester.
[26:03] Speaker 3: Wildcat, okay shooting regular twenty Two.
[26:07] Speaker 12: Empire, Yes i'm shooting cci through, it AND i haven't
[26:13] Speaker 12: tried any other. Animal that's mainly what i'd. Buy but,
[26:17] Speaker 12: YEAH i shot three inch pattern at twenty five meters
[26:20] Speaker 12: And i'm really thrilled with. It it's great to break
[26:23] Speaker 12: down and. Clean AND i just ordered A athlon ten
[26:28] Speaker 12: by forty two fixed. Power oh, yeah And i'm gonna
[26:31] Speaker 12: put it And i'm going to put that in on
[26:34] Speaker 12: top of that and go out and see IF i
[26:36] Speaker 12: tighten my groups.
[26:37] Speaker 3: Up the other THING i was going to, suggest because
[26:40] Speaker 3: you mentioned that you're sticking with one type OF, AMMO
[26:44] Speaker 3: i would suggest trying some DIFFERENT ammo because twenty two's
[26:49] Speaker 3: are real, particular or maybe to call them finicky and
[26:52] Speaker 3: a lot of, TIMES i, mean you might be able
[26:55] Speaker 3: to shrink those groups by half by going to a
[26:57] Speaker 3: different kind OF.
[26:57] Speaker 5: Ammo you just never, Know, yes, SIR i appreciate.
[27:01] Speaker 3: That all, right, well good. Deal that is a great
[27:04] Speaker 3: range for, it AND i appreciate, that. Sir thank you.
[27:07] Speaker 3: There if you want to join us right, now call
[27:09] Speaker 3: me right, now because we've got it just opened. Up
[27:11] Speaker 3: we've got a line opened up eighty six to six talk.
[27:13] Speaker 3: Gun so, yeah you, KNOW i know people are thinking
[27:18] Speaker 3: three inch groups may not be that great at twenty
[27:20] Speaker 3: five yards or. Meters it all depends on what your
[27:23] Speaker 3: expectations are and what your experience level. Is there certainly
[27:27] Speaker 3: are twenty two caliber rim fire. Rifles they'll shoot one
[27:31] Speaker 3: inch groups at one hundred. Yards, yeah so the three
[27:35] Speaker 3: inch may not be turning you. On that's why kind
[27:38] Speaker 3: of wanted to Tell joe to try some different, now
[27:41] Speaker 3: mostly if we can shrink those groups a. Bit, HONESTLY
[27:46] Speaker 3: i don't THINK i have any twenty two rifles that
[27:49] Speaker 3: wouldn't shoot better than three inches at twenty five, Yards
[27:53] Speaker 3: so just food for thought. THERE i do have this
[27:56] Speaker 3: thing about interesting twenty TWOS i. Have you, KNOW i
[28:00] Speaker 3: think we all have had this experience where we, say you,
[28:03] Speaker 3: KNOW i have this twenty two rifle and really like. It,
[28:08] Speaker 3: GOD i can't remember the last TIME i. Shot it's
[28:11] Speaker 3: never take it to the. Range why is? That why
[28:15] Speaker 3: do our twenty twos not get the respect we give
[28:18] Speaker 3: other guns because it's a dinky little twenty. TWO i don't.
[28:22] Speaker 3: KNOW i have a, God i've had this thing forever
[28:27] Speaker 3: and on, shoots bolt action, gun and as you might,
[28:31] Speaker 3: expect it's superbly. Accurate got A seazy four fifty seven
[28:36] Speaker 3: bolt action left handed that's really. Accurate But i've got
[28:40] Speaker 3: some semi autos rugers that are stunningly. Accurate one it
[28:45] Speaker 3: was done up By Clark Custom guns and they were
[28:50] Speaker 3: really as far AS i, know the first people doing
[28:52] Speaker 3: the accurizing gone ten twenty. Twos and in the right
[28:57] Speaker 3: conditions it's an inch and a half gun at one hundred.
[28:59] Speaker 3: Yards it's, spectacular just amazing with a really good. Trigger
[29:04] Speaker 3: and of course now you have a lot of people
[29:07] Speaker 3: making guns on the ten twenty two, pattern and some of,
[29:10] Speaker 3: them like our previous, guests was, saying they're like fifteen hundred.
[29:14] Speaker 3: Dollars you gave to spend more than, That, well why would?
[29:18] Speaker 3: You because they're really good and they're really, fun and
[29:21] Speaker 3: if you're shooting any kind of, competition that's what you.
[29:23] Speaker 3: WANT i also have a goofy little ten twenty. TWO i, say.
[29:29] Speaker 3: Goofy it's. Fun it has an integraally suppressed, Barrel so
[29:37] Speaker 3: the barrel is a. Suppressor it's all put. Together it's
[29:41] Speaker 3: not when you screw on and take, off so it's always.
[29:43] Speaker 3: Suppressed the reality is it's ABOUT i can't remember eight
[29:47] Speaker 3: or nine inch barrel that then connects to a suppressor
[29:52] Speaker 3: and so you end up with like an eighteen sixteen
[29:55] Speaker 3: eighteen inch barrel and it's crazy. Quiet if you're using subsonic,
[30:01] Speaker 3: ammo it's probably making less noise than a. Pelagun pretty,
[30:07] Speaker 3: amazing and it is just great. Fun. Hey you know,
[30:10] Speaker 3: what now that you're not having to pay the two
[30:12] Speaker 3: hundred dollars tax on silencers or, suppressors you could get
[30:16] Speaker 3: one of those as. Well, hey let's go Grab paul
[30:19] Speaker 3: on line five out Of. Wyoming, Hey, paul you're on Gun.
[30:21] Speaker 3: Talk what's going?
[30:22] Speaker 12: On? Hi?
[30:23] Speaker 6: Tom hey just add a quick question for. You well
[30:27] Speaker 6: may not be a quick, one but, HEY i shoot
[30:31] Speaker 6: an original smith and Lesson DEVIN b shield nine, okay,
[30:37] Speaker 6: okay WHEN i do my maintenance on it and stuff like,
[30:43] Speaker 6: that and of, COURSE i carry, chamber but WHEN i pull,
[30:47] Speaker 6: it WHEN i pull the original, round you, know drop
[30:50] Speaker 6: the mag pull the original round out of the chamber
[30:53] Speaker 6: and stuff like. THAT a lot of times When i'm
[30:57] Speaker 6: done with my, MAINTENANCE i put the original round back
[31:01] Speaker 6: in the chamber with the slide, back AND i rack
[31:05] Speaker 6: it back and slam it forward and then put the magazine.
[31:09] Speaker 6: IN i have, noticed AND i don't know whether you've
[31:13] Speaker 6: heard of, it but because of the taper crim.
[31:17] Speaker 3: Crimp, yeah the bullets moving in the. Case what's up
[31:23] Speaker 3: the bullets moving in the, case isn't.
[31:25] Speaker 6: It, Yeah, yeah it's moving.
[31:27] Speaker 3: Forward that's actually very common the amount of crimp or
[31:35] Speaker 3: grip that the case has on the. Bullet it's not
[31:38] Speaker 3: made to take it being chambered over and over and
[31:40] Speaker 3: over and over. Again it's just Not and, so you,
[31:44] Speaker 3: know a couple of things to do is basically what
[31:48] Speaker 3: you could do WHAT i, do which IS i don't
[31:50] Speaker 3: unload my. GUN i don't unload my carry. Gun uh you,
[31:55] Speaker 3: KNOW i mean WHEN i cleaned. It, yeah but OTHERWISE
[31:57] Speaker 3: i take it, off but it stays loaded in the.
[31:59] Speaker 3: House So i'm not doing that all the. Time but
[32:02] Speaker 3: the other thing to do is just understand what's going,
[32:05] Speaker 3: on and rotate magazines and use different ones so you're
[32:09] Speaker 3: not putting the same round back or even unload the,
[32:12] Speaker 3: magazine the entire magazine and put it back in and
[32:15] Speaker 3: do you, know switch up the order so that you're
[32:18] Speaker 3: not chambering the same round over and over again and
[32:20] Speaker 3: subjecting it to the inertia that round going into the.
[32:24] Speaker 5: Chamber and that was kind of my.
[32:27] Speaker 6: Thought and so IF i do that and put the
[32:32] Speaker 6: put that one back down in the magazine and go
[32:35] Speaker 6: ahead and strip it out of the magazine and put
[32:38] Speaker 6: it in the, chamber then it will be. Fine oh, no, no, no,
[32:42] Speaker 6: no oh, no, No i'm.
[32:43] Speaker 3: Sorry, No i'm saying this is how you prevent. It
[32:46] Speaker 3: if you have around where the bullet has already moved in,
[32:48] Speaker 3: it you could take it to the range and shoot.
[32:50] Speaker 3: It but do not have that as part of your
[32:52] Speaker 3: regular load out for life saving. Device. No once that
[32:57] Speaker 3: bullet has moved in the, case it is no longer
[33:00] Speaker 3: qualified to be part of your carry.
[33:01] Speaker 6: Package, okay, Okay.
[33:05] Speaker 3: So, yeah that's that's WHAT i would. Do it's it's and,
[33:09] Speaker 3: again this is a common. THING i hear it all the,
[33:11] Speaker 3: time and it really is just just what you. Describe
[33:14] Speaker 3: your chambering the same round over and over and over,
[33:16] Speaker 3: again and that slide slams forward and the bullet either
[33:19] Speaker 3: goes forward or generally goes back into the case a little.
[33:23] Speaker 3: Bit so, YEAH i would take that round and make
[33:25] Speaker 3: it a range, round shoot, it BUT i would not
[33:27] Speaker 3: make it part of my carry. Deal and after, that
[33:30] Speaker 3: you want to prevent that from happening by not chambering
[33:35] Speaker 3: the same round all the, time as you, know just
[33:39] Speaker 3: a different. WAD i know there's somebody out there, thinking, well,
[33:42] Speaker 3: yeah the way to handle that you should take the
[33:45] Speaker 3: magazine out when you're gonna unload it and then walk
[33:48] Speaker 3: outside and just shoot that. Round you know you were thinking,
[33:52] Speaker 3: that you know you, Were you get know it up to.
[33:55] Speaker 3: It it's, okay let's, see let's grab a less And Celine, Luise,
[34:00] Speaker 3: yeah hell less your own gun. Talk what's? Happening you?
[34:03] Speaker 13: KNOW i just wanted to mention you talked about the midterm.
[34:07] Speaker 13: ELECTIONS i tell people to take that attitude that dealers
[34:13] Speaker 13: ain't running and neither is any fairy gotten. Mothers so
[34:20] Speaker 13: the human that is going to be elected is not
[34:23] Speaker 13: going to be. Perfect The republican is always going to
[34:28] Speaker 13: be better than The democrat these.
[34:31] Speaker 3: Days especially when it comes to gun. Rights and you're,
[34:35] Speaker 3: right and the republic The republican may not be, great
[34:40] Speaker 3: but he or she is probably going to vote with
[34:42] Speaker 3: The republican block to help us on things like national
[34:45] Speaker 3: reciprocity and things like. That not, always but generally, speaking
[34:50] Speaker 3: you're not going to find A democrat who's going to
[34:52] Speaker 3: cross the lines to help us on Any Second amendment.
[34:56] Speaker 3: Issue so you got. That but, LOOK i appreciate the you're.
[35:00] Speaker 3: Right i've said it many different. Ways mister, perfect missus
[35:03] Speaker 3: perfect is not. Running we don't get somebody who is.
[35:07] Speaker 3: Perfect there's always gonna be a. Problem and people, say,
[35:10] Speaker 3: yeah but he does, This, yes but he does. That, yes.
[35:14] Speaker 3: Understand you, know Was trump perfect the first time he? Ran?
[35:18] Speaker 3: Knew was he perfect the second time he got? Elected?
[35:21] Speaker 3: No AND i said so, HERE i, said but do
[35:25] Speaker 3: you Want Joe? Biden? No do you Want Kamala? Harris,
[35:29] Speaker 3: no that's your only. Choice it's an ab. Choice it's
[35:34] Speaker 3: just it's like you're gonna get one or the. Other
[35:38] Speaker 3: perfect is not. Running AND i don't know why that
[35:43] Speaker 3: concept seems to be foreign for some. People they have
[35:48] Speaker 3: a little bit of a hard time understanding it or accepting.
[35:52] Speaker 3: IT i don't. Know it just kind of one of,
[35:55] Speaker 3: those really you do. Understand this is like big boy,
[36:01] Speaker 3: politics and sometimes you get people who you're, Thinking, MAN
[36:07] Speaker 3: i wouldn't invite that guy over to a, barbecue BUT
[36:10] Speaker 3: i got to vote for him because not THAT i
[36:13] Speaker 3: think he's. GOOD i just think he's less. Bad, YES
[36:19] Speaker 3: i agree with, you we shouldn't have to vote for less,
[36:23] Speaker 3: bad but that's like saying the sun shouldn't come up
[36:28] Speaker 3: in the east every. Day it, will and we do
[36:32] Speaker 3: less bad is what we end up with sometimes and
[36:35] Speaker 3: then maybe work on making that person better or finding
[36:39] Speaker 3: a better choice next time. Around but going back to
[36:43] Speaker 3: what brought this, up my concern is that people on
[36:47] Speaker 3: the gun right side voters are somewhat disappointed that they
[36:53] Speaker 3: haven't gotten everything they wanted out of The Donald trump.
[36:55] Speaker 3: Administration we knew that going. In i've always Said trump
[37:00] Speaker 3: is kind of middle of the road on gun. Rights
[37:02] Speaker 3: he's not super, strong he's not really, bad but he's
[37:06] Speaker 3: put in some good, people and he said he was
[37:08] Speaker 3: going to do some, things and he has done some good.
[37:10] Speaker 3: Things and getting Har Meat dylan in there is. HUGE
[37:13] Speaker 3: i would love it if she ended up being the
[37:15] Speaker 3: New Attorney. GENERAL i don't think it's going to. Happen
[37:18] Speaker 3: she may get a promotion and that may help us.
[37:20] Speaker 3: Out we'll see how that. DEVELOPS i would like to
[37:24] Speaker 3: see a course correction over AT doj headquarters BECAUSE i
[37:30] Speaker 3: think The Civil Rights division is doing really good things
[37:32] Speaker 3: Under hart Meat, Dylan but she isn't the one who
[37:36] Speaker 3: defends the gun, laws and we're charged challenged on things like.
[37:39] Speaker 3: That so that's a different division and people, say, well
[37:42] Speaker 3: why didn't she take care of? That not her department
[37:46] Speaker 3: can't do. It it's LIKE i, SAID i work in
[37:48] Speaker 3: the plumbing department And i'm going to fix the electrical. Apartment,
[37:51] Speaker 3: no it doesn't work that. Way but as we head
[37:55] Speaker 3: towards these midterm, elections which are going to be so
[37:58] Speaker 3: important on a lot of different, levels keeping The senate
[38:02] Speaker 3: if nothing else sly because Of Supreme court nominees And
[38:08] Speaker 3: Federal court feral justices and, judges that's critical that goes
