[0:54] Speaker 4: me a shout. All right, let's go to line too.
[0:56] Speaker 4: Jr's with us out a Corpus Christi, Texas. Hey Jr.
[0:59] Speaker 4: You're on Gun Talking.
[1:01] Speaker 5: Tom Good to talk to you, sir, Yeah, you were.
[1:04] Speaker 5: You were asking a question about when one decided that
[1:08] Speaker 5: they were going to carry for the personal protection. And
[1:11] Speaker 5: my story goes back to back when the Texas Seven
[1:15] Speaker 5: had broken out of a prison down here in South Texas.
[1:19] Speaker 5: You know, they were on a pretty pretty big violets
[1:22] Speaker 5: pretty you know, around around the state, and they actually
[1:25] Speaker 5: were thought to be I lived like a block from
[1:29] Speaker 5: the highway at the time, and they were apparently seen
[1:33] Speaker 5: real close to where my house was, and I remember
[1:35] Speaker 5: we had Texas DPS choppers all over the place. And yeah,
[1:39] Speaker 5: and you know, at the time I was, I was
[1:42] Speaker 5: nearly married, you know, I had a young baby at home,
[1:44] Speaker 5: and I was thinking, you know, if if if I'd
[1:46] Speaker 5: have been out there with my wife or whatever, you know,
[1:49] Speaker 5: I would have wondered what would I have done? I
[1:51] Speaker 5: had a mad ffronted, you know. So at the time,
[1:53] Speaker 5: I think I was about twenty three years old and
[1:56] Speaker 5: I only had at the time of thirty thirty that
[1:58] Speaker 5: my dad gave me for hunting twenty two and I'm
[2:01] Speaker 5: both actually shotgun you can't carry them around. But anyway,
[2:06] Speaker 5: it was then it was then when I when I
[2:08] Speaker 5: made the decision, you know, had I been caught off guard,
[2:10] Speaker 5: And that was at the first that was the first
[2:12] Speaker 5: time that I realized that you're when you leave your home,
[2:14] Speaker 5: you're at the mercy of the public, you know. So
[2:18] Speaker 5: I decided I was going to start carrying, and I've
[2:21] Speaker 5: done so religiously since then. After that, I became a
[2:25] Speaker 5: peace officer and started about a decade and a half
[2:27] Speaker 5: and taxed the peace officer, And obviously I have not
[2:30] Speaker 5: stopped caring since. But my point is that you never
[2:35] Speaker 5: know if it wins, somebody can get the drop on you,
[2:37] Speaker 5: or if you're caught, you know, in the wrong place
[2:40] Speaker 5: at the wrong time. I had no idea that these
[2:41] Speaker 5: guys were running around and we needed were running around,
[2:43] Speaker 5: but for them to come through our hometown where my
[2:45] Speaker 5: hometown where I lived, a real small town and literally
[2:49] Speaker 5: a block and a half from my house, you know,
[2:51] Speaker 5: I remember just telling my wife getting to get in
[2:55] Speaker 5: the back room with the baby. You know, I had
[2:56] Speaker 5: loaded the thirty thirty and that's all we could do
[2:58] Speaker 5: to sit and wait until everything was here. But it
[3:01] Speaker 5: was kind of an eye opening moment at the time.
[3:03] Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta ask a question, Go back to your
[3:05] Speaker 4: twenty three year old self and look at that young
[3:09] Speaker 4: man and take a guess as to why you responded
[3:15] Speaker 4: the way you did, because you know, there were a
[3:16] Speaker 4: lot of other people who heard about the Texas savn
[3:19] Speaker 4: You got bad guys on the loose, and they all said,
[3:21] Speaker 4: you know, boy, that's just terrible. I hope that somebody
[3:23] Speaker 4: does something about it. And you, in a different way,
[3:26] Speaker 4: you said, that's just terrible. I am going to do
[3:29] Speaker 4: something about it to protect myself and my family. What
[3:33] Speaker 4: made you be that guy who decided to take care
[3:37] Speaker 4: of yourself and your family?
[3:39] Speaker 5: Okay, well, obviously, you know self preservation of self and
[3:42] Speaker 5: family and loved ones is number one. But they had
[3:45] Speaker 5: already gone on a killing spree. I think they they'd
[3:49] Speaker 5: murdered a couple of people already, and they'd broken into
[3:52] Speaker 5: a I believe it was a sporty good store somewhere
[3:54] Speaker 5: up in Dallas area, and they'd already dinery killed several people.
[3:58] Speaker 5: So I mean, they knew they were not going to
[4:02] Speaker 5: uh to see the light of day again. And so
[4:05] Speaker 5: I said, well, I'm not going to be a statistic.
[4:07] Speaker 5: There's no way I'm going to allow that myself and
[4:09] Speaker 5: my family to become a statistic hill.
[4:12] Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean, good on you. You looked at it.
[4:15] Speaker 4: You said, yeah, not me. I'm not going to allow
[4:17] Speaker 4: that to happen. Nobody else is going to be there
[4:19] Speaker 4: to take care of me. I got to take care
[4:20] Speaker 4: of it myself, which, of course, that whole mindset ended
[4:23] Speaker 4: up leading you into being a peace officer and saying
[4:26] Speaker 4: I'm going to help other people, not just myself with
[4:28] Speaker 4: other people. That's just part of your makeup, that's who
[4:31] Speaker 4: you are.
[4:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, I just just you know, I mean, keep your
[4:35] Speaker 5: head on a swivel and and expect the worst, because,
[4:38] Speaker 5: like I said, when you leave the four walls of
[4:40] Speaker 5: your home, you know you're at the mercy of the public.
[4:43] Speaker 5: If there's bad people out there, and you know you've
[4:47] Speaker 5: got to be able to protect yourself.
[4:49] Speaker 4: Makes sense. Look, thank you for sharing the story. Yeah,
[4:52] Speaker 4: I appreciate that call. I would also add, yes, when
[4:56] Speaker 4: you leave your house, you're at the mercy of the public.
[4:59] Speaker 4: But I'm also going to say it's when you're in
[5:01] Speaker 4: your house, because bad guys do come to the house.
[5:05] Speaker 4: Can I once again remind people that during the daytime
[5:09] Speaker 4: is when most break ins happen. It's a really good
[5:12] Speaker 4: idea to keep your doors locked in your house when
[5:15] Speaker 4: you're at home in the day and I think probably
[5:19] Speaker 4: most people don't. But if you lock your doors, somebody
[5:24] Speaker 4: can't just open the door and walk in. As obvious
[5:28] Speaker 4: as that sounds, they got to make some kind of
[5:31] Speaker 4: a noise. And oh yeah. The correlador to that is this,
[5:36] Speaker 4: you should have a system where you do not have
[5:39] Speaker 4: to open your door to see who's knocking at your door.
[5:46] Speaker 4: When you open the door, you make yourself vulnerable. You
[5:49] Speaker 4: make it possible for them just to walk in, to
[5:51] Speaker 4: push the door in. You need to have a system,
[5:55] Speaker 4: either a peep hole or a camera or a ring
[5:58] Speaker 4: camera or something where you can see who's out there
[6:00] Speaker 4: and you can have a conversation with them. It is
[6:02] Speaker 4: worth the money in the very small effort. Now it's
[6:06] Speaker 4: almost new effort at all to put in something like that.
[6:10] Speaker 4: You should not have to open your door to see
[6:13] Speaker 4: who is at the door. Okay, all right, let's grab
[6:17] Speaker 4: Rick online one out of Friendswood, Texas. We're going to
[6:20] Speaker 4: be I guess doing all Texas here at the moment.
[6:23] Speaker 6: Hey Rick, Hi, Tom, love your show. Okay, what do
[6:27] Speaker 6: you think about this idea? Yea, the US and or
[6:31] Speaker 6: Israel maybe dropping on the Iranian citizens. Maybe some liberator
[6:35] Speaker 6: type pistols. Do you think that's feasible.
[6:38] Speaker 4: Or oh that is a throwback?
[6:42] Speaker 7: I got it.
[6:43] Speaker 4: We got to tell people what the Liberator pistol was.
[6:45] Speaker 4: The call it was FP forty five liberator f Peace
[6:49] Speaker 4: stood for flare pistol because they wanted to hide what
[6:52] Speaker 4: they really were. Uh. It was a single shot forty
[6:57] Speaker 4: five acp pistol by General Motors of all things. They
[7:02] Speaker 4: made a million of them in World War Two. The
[7:06] Speaker 4: idea was to drop them into the resistance of the Partisans.
[7:10] Speaker 4: Eisenhower didn't think much of the idea. Let's see, MacArthur
[7:16] Speaker 4: didn't think much of the idea, so they didn't actually
[7:19] Speaker 4: send a lot of them in. So the OSS, which
[7:24] Speaker 4: is of course the precursor to the CIA, got four
[7:26] Speaker 4: hundred and fifty thousand of them. But the idea was,
[7:29] Speaker 4: this is a stunningly cheap little handgun. It was a
[7:33] Speaker 4: single shot, and they sent him in a cardboard box
[7:36] Speaker 4: with ten rounds of AMMO and a cartoon instruction book
[7:39] Speaker 4: basically on how to use this thing. And you know,
[7:43] Speaker 4: let's go back to your idea, because the idea is,
[7:46] Speaker 4: how do you end up taking a rifle away from,
[7:50] Speaker 4: say a soldier in Iran who is there to hurt
[7:55] Speaker 4: people and all that. Well, you shoot him in the
[7:57] Speaker 4: back of the head with a pistol, then you've got
[8:00] Speaker 4: their rifle. It really is as simple as that, isn't it.
[8:05] Speaker 6: They got AK forty sevens, they don't need a little
[8:07] Speaker 6: forty five pistol, So you won't be arming the bad guys.
[8:10] Speaker 4: I don't think, well, no, you're not arming the bad guys.
[8:13] Speaker 4: Your army the good guys and so. But with this,
[8:16] Speaker 4: the good guys can go get a gun from the
[8:18] Speaker 4: bad guys.
[8:20] Speaker 6: Do you think I should call a senator around that
[8:22] Speaker 6: or something.
[8:24] Speaker 4: I don't think there's a chance in the world we
[8:25] Speaker 4: would ever do something like that, But it is an
[8:29] Speaker 4: interesting concept, and it gives us a chance to talk about, well,
[8:32] Speaker 4: one of the more interesting little elements or segments in history.
[8:37] Speaker 4: And look, I appreciate the call very much. It's called
[8:39] Speaker 4: the Liberator pistol. You can look it up. It's called
[8:41] Speaker 4: the FP for five Liberator, and I guess what I'm
[8:46] Speaker 4: looking at. The rundown of it here is suggested by
[8:49] Speaker 4: the Polish military and assigned to the US Army Joint
[8:55] Speaker 4: Psychological Warfare Committee. Very interesting, I mean, this is very cool.
[9:01] Speaker 4: Like I said, they made a million of them, didn't
[9:03] Speaker 4: send all that many into France and behind lines. But
[9:08] Speaker 4: back then, you know how it is. They the Nazis
[9:14] Speaker 4: took all the guns. Because a lot of these companies
[9:18] Speaker 4: had registration farms registration. The Nazis would just go in
[9:22] Speaker 4: and get the registration list, and they would go door
[9:25] Speaker 4: to door and say, here's the list of the guns
[9:27] Speaker 4: you have, you need to turn them in. There's one
[9:31] Speaker 4: famous stories written by Neil Knox about his neighbor who
[9:34] Speaker 4: told him the story about the Belgian corporal and the
[9:39] Speaker 4: Germans came to the house. He said, here's the list
[9:43] Speaker 4: underneath the guns. He couldn't find one of the guns
[9:47] Speaker 4: they wanted to turn it into, said I don't know
[9:48] Speaker 4: where it is. It's been years. And they brought him
[9:51] Speaker 4: out into the street and they shot him. They shot
[9:54] Speaker 4: every member of his family. After they got all the
[9:57] Speaker 4: neighbors out there, had made them all. Watch if those
[10:02] Speaker 4: who would say, well, gee, what's the big deal with
[10:04] Speaker 4: gun registration? That is it without a registration list, they
[10:10] Speaker 4: can't do that. A gun registration list is there for
[10:16] Speaker 4: only one purpose, is so the government at some future
[10:20] Speaker 4: day can come take your guns. Away. There is no
[10:23] Speaker 4: other purpose for it whatsoever. What's the big deal. You
[10:27] Speaker 4: guys don't want to register your guns, you rest your cars. Yeah,
[10:32] Speaker 4: it's not the same you registered cars. They could be
[10:34] Speaker 4: taxes on the only reason that anybody in government wants
[10:39] Speaker 4: to register guns, so they have the list, so they
[10:43] Speaker 4: can then take action against people who are on the list.
[10:49] Speaker 4: How do they do that? Historically they send people with
[10:54] Speaker 4: guns to take away your guns at gunpoint, and historically
[11:02] Speaker 4: not just in Germany, but here too. If you don't
[11:05] Speaker 4: turn them in, they will shoot you dead without a
[11:09] Speaker 4: registration unless they can't do that. Don't give an inch,
[11:12] Speaker 4: Never give an inch, never give up, never stop fighting.

[14:12] Speaker 4: Six talk gun or Tom talk gun. That'll get you
[14:14] Speaker 4: in here. Uh let's see, DJ just sent me an email.
[14:16] Speaker 4: I've gave out my email address on the air. Tom.
[14:20] Speaker 4: Why hasn't the entire Second Amendment quote shall not be
[14:24] Speaker 4: infringed been brought before the Supreme Court instead of these
[14:28] Speaker 4: bits and pieces we keep fighting for. If the justices
[14:32] Speaker 4: would just make a ruling on it, then maybe we
[14:36] Speaker 4: could stop fighting for all these rights and avoid the
[14:38] Speaker 4: constant Blue states infringement. Well, D, I understand what you're saying,
[14:45] Speaker 4: and yeah, I'd love to get one ruling from the
[14:47] Speaker 4: Supreme Court that says, all right, all the gun control
[14:49] Speaker 4: laws are gone period because they're all infringe upon the
[14:53] Speaker 4: Second Amendment. We're not going to get that. And look,
[14:58] Speaker 4: I'm not a lawyer, don't play one on TV, but
[15:01] Speaker 4: I did watch Perry Mason back in the day, but
[15:05] Speaker 4: I do talk to Second Amendment attorneys, the guys as
[15:08] Speaker 4: scholars who really know this stuff. The problem is you
[15:11] Speaker 4: have to challenge each law individually, each infringement individually. And
[15:18] Speaker 4: the way the courts work, they like to rule as
[15:20] Speaker 4: narrowly as possible. I don't know why that is, but
[15:23] Speaker 4: they do. So we get our rights back a piece
[15:30] Speaker 4: of time, and I can you know, we can both
[15:33] Speaker 4: agree that we shouldn't have to do it this way. Yeah,
[15:36] Speaker 4: I agree, but we do. And so not going to
[15:41] Speaker 4: waste any time or effort thinking about what should be
[15:45] Speaker 4: and just focus on what is. And so this is
[15:47] Speaker 4: what is. And we are winning right now a lot.
[15:50] Speaker 4: We're winning a lot. And you know, we had the
[15:52] Speaker 4: Heller decision, the Monominal decision, the Brewined Decision, some others
[15:56] Speaker 4: along the way. Each one of them advanced the cause significantly.
[16:03] Speaker 4: The problem we have right now is that a lot
[16:05] Speaker 4: of the lower court still ignore the Supreme Court or
[16:08] Speaker 4: they say, well, this is a little bit different, so
[16:10] Speaker 4: this doesn't fall within Bruin, this isn't exactly the Heller,
[16:16] Speaker 4: and they're making it all up. But what they do
[16:18] Speaker 4: is they start with the conclusion they would like to reach,
[16:23] Speaker 4: and then they torture the law until they can finally
[16:26] Speaker 4: come up with a rationalization to get them to the conclusion,
[16:30] Speaker 4: which is where they started. We need some Supreme Court
[16:33] Speaker 4: decisions that say stop that. Where we get it, I
[16:37] Speaker 4: don't know. I hope so I know. Thanks for the email,
[16:41] Speaker 4: Tom at guntalk dot com if you want to shoot
[16:43] Speaker 4: me a note there. Let's see here. Mark is in Missouri.
[16:47] Speaker 4: Line to hey, Mark, thanks for calling in. What's going on?
[16:54] Speaker 11: It's warm and.
[16:55] Speaker 4: Muggy, warm and muggy, well all over the country. So
[16:59] Speaker 4: what if you been shooting.
[17:04] Speaker 11: Work on your favorite military weapon.
[17:10] Speaker 4: I'm waiting.
[17:15] Speaker 11: Your favorite military weapon flew over my house about five
[17:20] Speaker 11: minutes after a month's second favorite flew over my house
[17:26] Speaker 11: at about a two twenty vectory.
[17:29] Speaker 4: What's that?
[17:32] Speaker 6: Uh?
[17:33] Speaker 11: I don't know a ten.
[17:37] Speaker 4: Oh eight ten. I love a tens a. It's a
[17:40] Speaker 4: flying cannon. It's it's like, that's what you said. Yeah, no,
[17:45] Speaker 4: you're right. That is my favorite flying uh. Although I
[17:49] Speaker 4: will say, look, I'm such an aviation buff. There's an
[17:51] Speaker 4: awful lot of planes I love. But if I were
[17:55] Speaker 4: to and they said, all right, you get to go flying,
[17:57] Speaker 4: one of them probably be an Aten, just because it's
[18:00] Speaker 4: got this thirty millimeter huge cannon. I mean, the cannon
[18:05] Speaker 4: in this gun is longer than a Chevy suburban. They
[18:08] Speaker 4: built the whole airplane around this cannon. It's a gatling
[18:12] Speaker 4: gun shooting like two litered coke bottle bullets out of
[18:15] Speaker 4: this thing. It's unbelievable, and it bit flies low and
[18:19] Speaker 4: slow in banks and Yanks, and it'd just be fun.
[18:23] Speaker 4: I would love that. Look. I appreciate the call the
[18:28] Speaker 4: when you look there's subconnection between the whole gun thing
[18:31] Speaker 4: and look at old guns and looking at old airplanes,
[18:33] Speaker 4: especially military airplanes, whether it's the P fifty one Mustang,
[18:37] Speaker 4: which I have been fortunate enough to be able to fly,
[18:41] Speaker 4: an amazing piece of gear. I've flown Formation with a
[18:45] Speaker 4: few others of the World War II variety when we
[18:48] Speaker 4: were doing the I guess out of backup. Some people
[18:52] Speaker 4: don't know that I created a show. I've actually created
[18:56] Speaker 4: and produced a number of TV Ocean series. One of
[19:01] Speaker 4: them was an aviation show called Wings to Adventure, And
[19:05] Speaker 4: I flew the airplane that we had the camera in
[19:08] Speaker 4: the video camera, and we'd flew Formation with all these
[19:10] Speaker 4: different airplanes and it's like a P forty seven Thunderbolt,
[19:15] Speaker 4: a P forty and a P fifty one Mustang and
[19:18] Speaker 4: it just goes on and on all the way back
[19:20] Speaker 4: to Vickers Vivy Bomber, which is a World War One airplane.
[19:24] Speaker 4: This was a recreation of it. Very cool, very slow.
[19:27] Speaker 4: It was hard for us to fly as slow as
[19:30] Speaker 4: that they would fly and still keep my banana in
[19:32] Speaker 4: the air. But yeah, there's just something about the hardware,
[19:38] Speaker 4: the ingenuity that goes into creating those. If there were
[19:42] Speaker 4: another one, if you say, okay, which one would you
[19:45] Speaker 4: like to fly? If there were another one, I'm thinking, actually,
[19:48] Speaker 4: and I'll never get to fly it is the P
[19:50] Speaker 4: thirty eight Lightning, the you know, the forktail Monster or
[19:54] Speaker 4: whatever they called it. Such a cool plane, very fast,
[20:00] Speaker 4: just twininge and monster. It's the one that shot down
[20:03] Speaker 4: Yamamoto with very cool stuff. But yeah, the Warthog, the
[20:08] Speaker 4: A ten Warthog, which by the way, they're phasing out.
[20:12] Speaker 4: There is an outfit that's trying to do conversions of
[20:17] Speaker 4: the Warthog to make it a fire bomber, and they
[20:21] Speaker 4: call them fire hogs. That's particularly Germane right now because
[20:25] Speaker 4: we have fires going all around us, all out in
[20:28] Speaker 4: the West. The West is burning. There have been a
[20:31] Speaker 4: number of airline type planes have been converted DC tens,
[20:38] Speaker 4: DC nine. I mean we're talking big airliners and boy
[20:43] Speaker 4: they can drop a load. It's really something else to see.
[20:46] Speaker 4: Oh oh oh. That leads me to hold on here.
[20:49] Speaker 4: I got to find this article because I want to
[20:50] Speaker 4: make sure I read it correctly. The whole fire bombing
[20:55] Speaker 4: thing there it is all right. Buildings Montana dateline to
[21:01] Speaker 4: Buildings Montana. A new bill from Republican US Senator Tim Sheehey,
[21:07] Speaker 4: you remember Tim Shehe is the Republican senator from Montana,
[21:11] Speaker 4: former Navy seal. He has a fire bombing company. They
[21:16] Speaker 4: have the water bombers, which is what got the connection
[21:21] Speaker 4: for me. I hate this idea. I mean, I understand
[21:25] Speaker 4: where it's coming from, but I really don't like it.
[21:27] Speaker 4: The proposal is called Special Operations Forces Conceal Carry Act.
[21:35] Speaker 4: It would let current and former US Special Operations Service
[21:39] Speaker 4: members carry conceal firearms across state lines. It's kind of
[21:45] Speaker 4: a takeoff on the law that lets former law enforcement
[21:49] Speaker 4: officers have their conceal carry permits, or they don't have
[21:52] Speaker 4: a permit, they can carry all over the country, and
[21:55] Speaker 4: so he said we should do the same thing for
[21:56] Speaker 4: Special Forces operators, current and former. I understand the sentiment
[22:02] Speaker 4: behind it. They're trained and they served us and all that.
[22:06] Speaker 4: I don't care. They're not special people. Neither are former cops.
[22:11] Speaker 4: I hate the idea of former cops having special rights.
[22:15] Speaker 4: We should all have these rights. Hey, look, I get it.
[22:18] Speaker 4: You're a cop. You get to carry everywhere. That's cool
[22:20] Speaker 4: for you. It's not cool for me. It's not cool
[22:23] Speaker 4: for the American public. And people say, well, there's a
[22:25] Speaker 4: benefit to it. Don't care. We want our rights and
[22:29] Speaker 4: we don't want them pieced out because if you're special,
[22:32] Speaker 4: you get special rights. No, hey, let's talk guns. I'm comgression.
[22:39] Speaker 4: This is gun talk after all. Oh go check it.
[22:42] Speaker 6: Out.
[22:42] Speaker 4: We have a heck of a YouTube channel to look
[22:44] Speaker 4: for gun talk over there. Over on Facebook. We are
[22:46] Speaker 4: there all over the place with gazillions of videos available
[22:50] Speaker 4: on Facebook. And of course we have the Shooting Sports
[22:53] Speaker 4: Life All the Time twenty four to seven channel that
[22:56] Speaker 4: just runs gun stuff all the time. You can add
[22:59] Speaker 4: Shooting Sports Life to your TV if you got a
[23:01] Speaker 4: smart tv, uh any, just like adding Netflix or Prime
[23:05] Speaker 4: or anything else. It's just an app and to throw
[23:07] Speaker 4: on there. Go to Shooting SportsLife dot com and you
[23:09] Speaker 4: can see how to do that. Pretty easy stuff. Again.
[23:12] Speaker 4: Our number here is eight six y six Talk Gun
[23:14] Speaker 4: or Tom Talk Gun uh. From the news yesterday. I'm
[23:19] Speaker 4: speaking to you on Sunday. On Saturday, the United States
[23:23] Speaker 4: Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as Attorney General. This is, I
[23:29] Speaker 4: think good for us on the gun side. Todd blanch
[23:32] Speaker 4: is pretty good for the Department of Justice. He actually
[23:35] Speaker 4: his family is in the gun business. Interesting enough, they
[23:39] Speaker 4: make magazines, one of the bigger companies making magazines for pistols.
[23:45] Speaker 4: What was interesting, well, maybe the two of the senators
[23:50] Speaker 4: who are holding this up, Bill Cassidy and John Cornyn.
[23:56] Speaker 4: Bill Cassidy from Louisy and John Cornyn from Texas. Both
[24:00] Speaker 4: of them are laying ducks. Both of them, I think
[24:05] Speaker 4: probably largely lost their positions because of their votes for
[24:08] Speaker 4: gun control. Both of them supported and pushed and voted
[24:13] Speaker 4: for the Joe Biden gun control law. It was passed
[24:16] Speaker 4: a couple of years ago. Gun owners remembered that and
[24:21] Speaker 4: sent them both packing. So anyway, we got Todd Blench
[24:25] Speaker 4: and I know people are going to say, well, he
[24:26] Speaker 4: hasn't done enough. Well, we're never going to get everything,
[24:32] Speaker 4: and we can agree that there are things when we
[24:34] Speaker 4: say well he should have done this, Well, I wish
[24:36] Speaker 4: he would have done that. But he's doing some good stuff.
[24:40] Speaker 4: We're moving forward. Moving forward is better than moving backward.
[24:44] Speaker 4: I have spent decades watching everything move backward and losing
[24:47] Speaker 4: gun rights and losing gun rights and losing gun rights.
[24:50] Speaker 4: Now we're getting them back. We're getting him back a
[24:52] Speaker 4: piece of the time, through dj through elections, through lawsuits
[24:58] Speaker 4: at the Supreme Court. We are moving forward. And I
[25:01] Speaker 4: think this is going to be good for us. So
[25:03] Speaker 4: I'll pass that along. All right, let's go to the phones.
[25:07] Speaker 4: Harley is in Denver, Colorado. Hey, Harley, let's talk about
[25:11] Speaker 4: defensive guns.
[25:14] Speaker 12: Yes, my question is a nineteen eleven. The grip and
[25:18] Speaker 12: the angle, it's just fantastic in a forty five calibers
[25:24] Speaker 12: a little bit too much for me. Is there something
[25:26] Speaker 12: like the Cult Defender in a nine milimeter that's small
[25:30] Speaker 12: enough I can put in my pocket?
[25:34] Speaker 4: Just the kind of all depends on how big a
[25:35] Speaker 4: pocket is there is that, you know? The nineteen eleven
[25:38] Speaker 4: comes in three primary sizes. The standard size five inch
[25:44] Speaker 4: barrel or slide, then the Commander size, which is a
[25:47] Speaker 4: four and a quarter inch, Then the Officers model, which
[25:51] Speaker 4: is a three inch. Now, a three inch ninety eleven
[25:54] Speaker 4: is not exactly a pocket gun, but it's very concealable.
[25:58] Speaker 4: If you got a three inch nineteen eleven an Officers
[26:02] Speaker 4: model in nine to milimeter, it would be pretty carriable.
[26:07] Speaker 4: Let me ask you a question, then, what kind of pocket?
[26:09] Speaker 4: What are we talk I mean, are you looking for
[26:11] Speaker 4: like a little tiny gun?
[26:15] Speaker 5: Well?
[26:16] Speaker 12: About the size? Well, it's like about the Cult Defender size,
[26:20] Speaker 12: about the size of that, or like the UHI two
[26:26] Speaker 12: thirty eight. Well, that's where I was going to like
[26:30] Speaker 12: a threeperl.
[26:31] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's where I was going to send you? Is
[26:33] Speaker 4: the sig the p two thirty eight I mean it's
[26:36] Speaker 4: a nineteen eleven and it's tiny and they shoot really well.
[26:42] Speaker 4: If you want a nineteen eleven, I think that is
[26:45] Speaker 4: a really good choice for something that's teeny tiny little thing.
[26:51] Speaker 12: Yeah, I was just wondering. I mean three eight I
[26:55] Speaker 12: have that. It's an excellent and shoots very nicely. Right,
[27:00] Speaker 12: I was just I was just wondering if something was
[27:04] Speaker 12: like that, but it has the grip of the nineteen eleven.
[27:08] Speaker 4: Oh well, yeah, I mean if you want a longer grip,
[27:12] Speaker 4: and you're talking about having like a longer grip, because
[27:14] Speaker 4: I mean obviously these smaller guns are gonna have shorter grips.
[27:16] Speaker 4: I mean, these are all the trade offs. If you
[27:18] Speaker 4: go to a smaller gun, you got a smaller grip,
[27:20] Speaker 4: it's hard to hold on to them. You can find
[27:26] Speaker 4: there are some forty not forty five, maybe nine milimeters
[27:30] Speaker 4: with a standard sized grip with a shorter barrel. There's
[27:33] Speaker 4: some people are making those. But honestly, I think you're
[27:36] Speaker 4: in the place now where you ought to be looking
[27:39] Speaker 4: at maybe some other size guns. Take a look. Just
[27:44] Speaker 4: had this thought the Smith and Weston. I think it's
[27:48] Speaker 4: the c x CSG. I'd have to look it up.
[27:53] Speaker 4: It's one of their newer ones. Let me see if
[27:55] Speaker 4: I'm gonna look it up for you here, because it
[27:57] Speaker 4: is a hammer gun, but it's got a really nice
[28:02] Speaker 4: feel too. It's got kind of a CSX. Take a
[28:06] Speaker 4: look at that. That's a really nice pistol. You ought
[28:09] Speaker 4: to take a look at. I think you would like that.
[28:11] Speaker 4: It's called the CSX series from Smith and Wesson, and
[28:15] Speaker 4: that might work for you. So there you go, and
[28:17] Speaker 4: while you're there, to also take a look at the
[28:19] Speaker 4: Smith Western Bodyguard two point zero. It's not a ninety eleven,
[28:22] Speaker 4: but it's small and easy to carry. It's a nice
[28:25] Speaker 4: little three eighty. I got to keep it on in Harley.
[28:27] Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you for the call. Let's go talk
[28:29] Speaker 4: with John and Bend Oregon. Hey John, Hey.
[28:34] Speaker 13: Tom, thanks for taking my call.
[28:36] Speaker 4: Sure.
[28:37] Speaker 12: Hey.
[28:38] Speaker 13: It seems like every time we've got one of these,
[28:41] Speaker 13: I don't know, citizen involved shootings or what have you,
[28:44] Speaker 13: the subject of a truck gun comes up.
[28:46] Speaker 4: Yep.
[28:47] Speaker 13: And last week I didn't get an opportunity call in,
[28:49] Speaker 13: but I wanted to call in and talk a little
[28:51] Speaker 13: bit about it and get some folks some ideas. In
[28:54] Speaker 13: the event there looking to do something because it's something
[28:56] Speaker 13: that I do occasionally, it's not more often when I'm
[29:00] Speaker 13: traveling to training.
[29:01] Speaker 4: Okay, let me let me let me just touch on
[29:03] Speaker 4: the subject for let's bring people up to speed truck gun.
[29:06] Speaker 4: The whole concept here is if you got you got
[29:09] Speaker 4: your carry gun, you got your pistol. But there could
[29:12] Speaker 4: be situations where it'd be really advantageous to have a
[29:15] Speaker 4: long gun of some sort, whether it's a rifle or
[29:18] Speaker 4: a carbine or a pistol, caliber carbin or an AR
[29:21] Speaker 4: fifteen or something in your truck, in your vehicle, in
[29:24] Speaker 4: the trunk or someplace, so that in a situation like
[29:27] Speaker 4: that thing in Twin Falls, if somebody had had a rifle,
[29:31] Speaker 4: they probably could have put that guy down more quickly.
[29:35] Speaker 4: So anyway, okay, I've set the stage for you. You
[29:38] Speaker 4: pick it up from there.
[29:40] Speaker 13: Thank you very much. Yeah, I wanted to say that,
[29:43] Speaker 13: you know, you can go with a secure solution if
[29:45] Speaker 13: you're a little bit uh, you know, giddy about keeping it,
[29:49] Speaker 13: storing it, et cetera. There's a a bunch of solutions
[29:53] Speaker 13: out there. There's a company called Toffee. They make an
[29:55] Speaker 13: undersea box for your for your vehicle. If you're you know,
[29:58] Speaker 13: got to pick up truck this and go right under
[30:00] Speaker 13: seat your rear seat. You can lock it and in
[30:03] Speaker 13: my particular case, depending on where I'm going, I may
[30:06] Speaker 13: put a cold M four in there. If I'm staying
[30:09] Speaker 13: within my geographical area here in Oregon. If I'm traveling
[30:13] Speaker 13: to gun site where I've got to go across California
[30:16] Speaker 13: or across you know, Nevada, typically I'll pack my GT.
[30:19] Speaker 13: Thirty in there and it sits in there perfectly. You
[30:25] Speaker 13: can work with a company called Gunfoam gunfoam dot com. Uh,
[30:29] Speaker 13: they'll create a custom foam insert for any particular firearm
[30:32] Speaker 13: that you have, handguns, long guns, shotguns. You use your
[30:37] Speaker 13: cell phone to take a photograph of your firearm or
[30:40] Speaker 13: firearms or magazines or optics or whatever you got, and
[30:44] Speaker 13: they go ahead. They'll mate it up with any case
[30:46] Speaker 13: that you've got. If it's Pelican, et cetera, they'll go ahead.
[30:50] Speaker 13: You never heard of it.
[30:52] Speaker 4: I just I just went to the website gunfoam dot com.
[30:56] Speaker 4: That is awesome. What a great idea.
[30:59] Speaker 13: Yeah, they're fantastic. The president of the company, Mike Sherman,
[31:03] Speaker 13: terrific guy. Give him a call if you have any
[31:06] Speaker 13: particular solutions. But yeah, this works out really well for
[31:09] Speaker 13: me because you know, I feel comfortable if I'm standing
[31:11] Speaker 13: in a hotel at night, I can secure the rifle
[31:14] Speaker 13: in that compartment, lock it up. I've got two layers
[31:17] Speaker 13: of security. These have two key locks on each side,
[31:21] Speaker 13: and it bolts into the rear frame of your truck
[31:25] Speaker 13: seat in the rear. Yeah, almost impossible to identify by
[31:29] Speaker 13: looking through the window. And you know, you can increase
[31:32] Speaker 13: your chances of being less of a target by removing
[31:34] Speaker 13: any sort of too a pro gun, any kind of
[31:38] Speaker 13: firearms related decals on your vehicle.
[31:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, do not you know, want any of that stuff
[31:43] Speaker 4: on your vehicle because it just says, hey, there could
[31:46] Speaker 4: be a gun in here, m as we'll break in
[31:47] Speaker 4: and find out.
[31:49] Speaker 13: Absolutely. Yeah, so get rid of those. And also too,
[31:52] Speaker 13: you know, with all the flock cameras, you don't want
[31:54] Speaker 13: to get tagged as grouped into somebody that's a grow
[31:57] Speaker 13: to a supporter and have somebody kind of I've used
[32:01] Speaker 13: that system to track you.
[32:03] Speaker 4: That's another discussion too, because the flot cameras now they're
[32:06] Speaker 4: stick of these cameras. They're looking into the parking lots
[32:11] Speaker 4: of gun stores and recording the license plates of people
[32:16] Speaker 4: who go to gun stores, and you got to wonder
[32:18] Speaker 4: what that information is being used for.
[32:21] Speaker 13: Absolutely, Yeah, you don't know what's going into that database.
[32:24] Speaker 13: And there's consumty stories in the media about, you know,
[32:28] Speaker 13: police agencies, law enforcement agencies of using the system to
[32:32] Speaker 13: track ex girlfriends, ex husbands, et cetera. So yes, yeah,
[32:36] Speaker 13: trying to alleviate yourself as a target. But yeah, I
[32:39] Speaker 13: wanted to share that and thout those two.
[32:43] Speaker 4: You mentioned going to gun site. How often do you
[32:46] Speaker 4: get over there?
[32:47] Speaker 13: Yeah, I try to get down well, I get down
[32:50] Speaker 13: there every year for the gas match. This year is
[32:52] Speaker 13: the fiftieth anniversary of the Alumni shoots, so I'm headed
[32:56] Speaker 13: down there. But the last course I took was a
[32:58] Speaker 13: year and a half ago as a two two three
[33:01] Speaker 13: defensive car meams, so that was five days down there.
[33:04] Speaker 13: And yeah, gunsight man, you never know who you're going
[33:07] Speaker 13: to get for an instructor. It's always like you're going
[33:10] Speaker 13: to get a celebrity no matter what you know. I
[33:12] Speaker 13: am still getting Ory Trapp, who runs the Stories of
[33:17] Speaker 13: the Gun with Joe Mantana. He was he was our
[33:20] Speaker 13: range master and lead instructor. And when I was down
[33:23] Speaker 13: for the two fifty class and twenty twenty two. I
[33:25] Speaker 13: ended up getting headhead as one of the constructors.
[33:29] Speaker 4: So lucky you got ed while he was still around.
[33:32] Speaker 4: You know what I call Cory, Yeah, I call Corey
[33:35] Speaker 4: Trapp Stanta clause with a machine gun.
[33:41] Speaker 13: That pretty much sums him up. Yeah, he said he
[33:44] Speaker 13: was great. He brought all kinds of toys out for
[33:47] Speaker 13: us to play with. So yeah, gun SIT's always wonderful.
[33:50] Speaker 13: And you know, on a hot day to get Ken
[33:52] Speaker 13: Campbell to bring you out a frozen otter pot, nothing
[33:55] Speaker 13: better than that.
[33:57] Speaker 4: Well, I will be going to my first gas match
[34:01] Speaker 4: this year, the fiftieth anniversary to the gun Sight Alumni shoot,
[34:05] Speaker 4: so be sure to flag me down if you see me.
[34:08] Speaker 13: There no doubt I'll try and figure out what squad
[34:11] Speaker 13: you're on. See if I can find you and say hello.
[34:14] Speaker 4: Sounds good, that'd be fun. I mean, any tips for
[34:17] Speaker 4: a first time or a gas match.
[34:20] Speaker 13: Oh man? First time is just start playing out in
[34:23] Speaker 13: the hot sun as much as you can get out
[34:26] Speaker 13: in the hot sun, walk around, you know, just get
[34:29] Speaker 13: used to it. And best advice I can give anybody
[34:32] Speaker 13: the night before is camel up, drink as much water
[34:34] Speaker 13: as you possibly can, and just be ready to have
[34:36] Speaker 13: a great time. Everybody friendly, everybody's fun.
[34:39] Speaker 4: Yeah, as I say, it's a social event occasionally interrupted
[34:42] Speaker 4: by gunfire.
[34:44] Speaker 13: Absolutely absolutely in the steak dinner of the night before
[34:47] Speaker 13: and the auction, the evening of the shoot or not
[34:50] Speaker 13: to be missed. So you're in for real treat ton.
[34:53] Speaker 4: That'll be fun. I'm looking forward to it. I'll see
[34:55] Speaker 4: you there. Look, thank you for the call. Appreciate that. Yeah,
[34:58] Speaker 4: this idea of a truck gun and I understand that
[35:03] Speaker 4: people are going to say, well, I carry a pistol.
[35:04] Speaker 4: I don't need that. I get it. And there are
[35:06] Speaker 4: people who say I don't carry a pistol, I don't
[35:08] Speaker 4: need that either. It's layers. It's are you going to
[35:12] Speaker 4: need that? Probably not. Are you ever going to need
[35:15] Speaker 4: your pistol, probably not. But we've all most of us
[35:19] Speaker 4: have kind of come to the conclusion that, yeah, that's true,
[35:23] Speaker 4: but I don't want to be caught without it, okay.
[35:27] Speaker 4: And then there are trade offs. Carrying a pistol is uncomfortable,
[35:32] Speaker 4: it is awkward, it is restricting. It's an additional thing
[35:37] Speaker 4: to have to deal with all the time. You're going
[35:41] Speaker 4: to have the exact same thing. If you decide to
[35:43] Speaker 4: have a truck gun or rifle, a shotgun or whatever
[35:46] Speaker 4: in your truck, your vehicle, as our previous caller was
[35:51] Speaker 4: talking about, now you got to figure out how am
[35:52] Speaker 4: I going to keep it in my vehicle and keep
[35:55] Speaker 4: it secure, because if you're going to leave it in
[35:57] Speaker 4: your vehicle, you've got to have it locked st up
[36:00] Speaker 4: in a way that makes it really hard for somebody
[36:02] Speaker 4: to steal it out of sight, certainly, but also with locks,
[36:06] Speaker 4: extra money, extra effort. Yes, might not be for you,
[36:12] Speaker 4: certainly not for everybody. Might not be for you, but
[36:17] Speaker 4: you also may be one of those people who say,
[36:19] Speaker 4: you know, if I saw somebody shooting up the place,
[36:25] Speaker 4: I would want a really good tool. If I saw
[36:30] Speaker 4: somebody shooting up a bus full of school kids, what
[36:36] Speaker 4: would I want to have? Yeah, I'd want the best
[36:40] Speaker 4: thing I could have. I'm reminded of the story this
[36:43] Speaker 4: goes back for decades or more in Texas. There was
[36:48] Speaker 4: a traffic stop I don't can't remember if it was
[36:51] Speaker 4: a state trooper, but walks up to the car and
[36:56] Speaker 4: the guy shoots him, shoots The officer also goes down
[37:01] Speaker 4: same time a guy who's coming back from a deer hunt,
[37:04] Speaker 4: is like one hundred yards behind, sees this going on,
[37:06] Speaker 4: pulls over the side of the road. He sees the
[37:10] Speaker 4: officer go down, sees the bad guy get out of
[37:15] Speaker 4: his car and walk over and shoot the officer on
[37:18] Speaker 4: the ground. Execute wellether it's Texas deer hunter says, yeah,
[37:24] Speaker 4: not on my watch. You're not doing that. Exeptly pulls out.
[37:27] Speaker 4: It's two forty three and from one hundred yards he
[37:30] Speaker 4: smokes this guy there it is. That's a truck gun.
[37:36] Speaker 4: That's what it's all about. When you need the distance
[37:41] Speaker 4: and you need some power, you got the tool. I
[37:47] Speaker 4: get it. Not for everybody. Additional complications, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
[37:52] Speaker 4: I got all that. Also, Also, you got to train.
[37:55] Speaker 4: You got to know what to do with it. And
[37:57] Speaker 4: saying I've been shooting all my life and I've been
[38:00] Speaker 4: my life. That doesn't get it. I'm sorry, that's just
[38:02] Speaker 4: not enough. John was just saying, he goes his last
[38:07] Speaker 4: class at gun sight was a two two three class
[38:10] Speaker 4: that would be a carbone using an AR fifteen five
[38:14] Speaker 4: day class, forty hours of training. Well, gee, what can
[38:17] Speaker 4: you learn in forty hours? So you're just gonna go
[38:19] Speaker 4: shoot targets? Yeah, no, or you could go to range ready.
[38:26] Speaker 4: We provide ar classes, we could provide carbing classes. We
[38:29] Speaker 4: do two day classes. You can start to get up
[38:33] Speaker 4: to speed. That way, you'll go from wherever you are
[38:36] Speaker 4: to quite a bit advanced from that. I mean you're
[38:40] Speaker 4: not going to be Delta Force or Navy Seal level,
[38:43] Speaker 4: but you'll be better, be able to do some stuff.
[38:46] Speaker 4: Know how to use a sling Oh yeah, yourself defens
[38:50] Speaker 4: long gun. Must have a sling on if you don't
[38:55] Speaker 4: know why, that's why you go take the class. If
[39:00] Speaker 4: you thought about getting a truck gone, If so, what
[39:02] Speaker 4: would you get? Do you have a truck gun? If so,
[39:05] Speaker 4: what do you have? Love to know? Eight six six
[39:07] Speaker 4: talk Gun will get you in here or Tom Talk
[39:09] Speaker 4: Gun as always, I'm Tom Gresham. This is gun Talk.
[39:13] Speaker 4: Let me know what you're thinking for your personal security system.
[39:27] Speaker 7: You know.
[39:28] Speaker 4: In a few minutes we're going to start doing the
[39:29] Speaker 4: after show. That's kind of the wild crazy part of
[39:32] Speaker 4: the show where we just go everywhere and it's not
[39:35] Speaker 4: on the radio stations. It is the only available through
[39:38] Speaker 4: the podcast. If you haven't heard the podcast, by all
[39:40] Speaker 4: means you need to do that wherever you get podcasts
[39:43] Speaker 4: or for Gun Talk if you want to be a
[39:45] Speaker 4: part of that. If you have some questions or maybe
[39:46] Speaker 4: some thoughts about conceal carry, about a truck gun, about
[39:51] Speaker 4: the idea of maybe changing what you're carrying or how
[39:53] Speaker 4: you carry it, I can help you with that. It's
[39:55] Speaker 4: a decision process. We'll go through all that. Give me
[39:58] Speaker 4: a call eight sixty six, Talk Gun. I'm Talk Gun.
[40:00] Speaker 4: We'll get you into the after show. We mentioned the
[40:03] Speaker 4: truck gun thing. I was just looking that combined with
[40:06] Speaker 4: this decision come out of Texas, the federal judge who
[40:09] Speaker 4: ruled that having to register suppressors and sbr's short bare
[40:17] Speaker 4: rifles is unconstitutional, wiping out the registration requirement. Now, we'll
[40:23] Speaker 4: see if that holds up, if it gets appealed, but
[40:26] Speaker 4: say it's it holds At the same time, we got
[40:30] Speaker 4: that going on, and then we have Smith and Weston
[40:33] Speaker 4: coming out with a brand new M and P. This
[40:37] Speaker 4: is an AR SBR mainline. Smith and Weston bringing out
[40:42] Speaker 4: an SBR in three hundred blackout. It has an eight
[40:46] Speaker 4: inch barrel on a three hundred blackout, So you got
[40:51] Speaker 4: an AR with an eight inch barrel. It's threaded, it's
[40:54] Speaker 4: set up it's ready for a can. So you buy this.
[40:58] Speaker 4: You do not have to do the registration, the paperwork,
[41:03] Speaker 4: the fingerprints, the photograph. You just go in the store
[41:05] Speaker 4: and buy it. Just do the forty four to seventy
[41:08] Speaker 4: three background check like you would fringing the gun. Oh
[41:11] Speaker 4: and at the same time, you can buy a suppressor
[41:13] Speaker 4: for it and not have to do any of the
[41:15] Speaker 4: registration and the paperwork and all the rest of that.
[41:17] Speaker 4: You simply do the background check for that. You run
[41:20] Speaker 4: one background check, you walk out of the store with
[41:22] Speaker 4: your SBR and your can, and you now have what
[41:26] Speaker 4: I would offer is a pretty darn good option for
[41:29] Speaker 4: a truck gun. Throw an optic on it, because I
[41:32] Speaker 4: think that's critical for that, and a slim and you
[41:35] Speaker 4: got a nice rig. Go ahead and do some training
[41:37] Speaker 4: with it, maybe take a class. I think a lot
[41:40] Speaker 4: more people are going to start doing that, especially having
[41:43] Speaker 4: watched the video. Video is so powerful. Watching the video
[41:48] Speaker 4: of this guy at the in and out Burger in
[41:51] Speaker 4: Twin Falls, I'd home murdering people with an AR. Three
[41:56] Speaker 4: good guys with handguns tried to stop him. One couldn't
[42:02] Speaker 4: because he was carrying empty chamber. He got shot in
[42:05] Speaker 4: the arm. And couldn't work the slide on his gun.
[42:07] Speaker 4: Good lord, and then two other guys, an off duty
[42:12] Speaker 4: cop and good guy Solinus, throw bullets at him and
[42:17] Speaker 4: force him back away from everybody so he stops killing people.
[42:21] Speaker 4: But boy, wouldn't it have been helpful to be able
[42:23] Speaker 4: to reach into your truck and pull out a rifle
[42:26] Speaker 4: or at SBR something that where you can just hit
[42:29] Speaker 4: him at one hundred yards and hit him hard and
[42:32] Speaker 4: be pretty well assured of making good hits. Because it's
[42:35] Speaker 4: a lot easier, frankly, to hit somebody at one hundred
[42:37] Speaker 4: yards with a rifle than it is with a pistol.
[42:40] Speaker 4: Just what it is, I'm just going to offer. I
[42:44] Speaker 4: think maybe the time has come to give some serious
[42:46] Speaker 4: consideration if you are that person, that guy, that gal
[42:50] Speaker 4: who says, yeah, I'm not gonna let people get murdered
[42:53] Speaker 4: in front of me, and I'm going to take steps
[42:56] Speaker 4: now to make sure that I am equipped physically, mentally,
[43:03] Speaker 4: have the right gear, have the right training. I just
[43:06] Speaker 4: I couldn't live with myself if I watch somebody simply
[43:09] Speaker 4: mow down kids or innocent people and I couldn't do
[43:14] Speaker 4: anything about it. So I'm going to do this thing
[43:17] Speaker 4: so just food for thought, something to throw out there.
[43:21] Speaker 4: You've got to figure out who you are and what
[43:22] Speaker 4: you would do. Maybe, you know, sometimes you would want
[43:26] Speaker 4: to run away, that would be the right thing to
[43:27] Speaker 4: do with everybody. Other times you say, yeah, I can't
[43:30] Speaker 4: run away from this. I can't I can't leave this.
[43:32] Speaker 4: I have to do something about it. Get the tools,
[43:34] Speaker 4: get the training, make it happen. Decide who you're going
[43:37] Speaker 4: to be. That's really worth it's about. Hey, if you
[43:39] Speaker 4: want to join me on the after show, call me
[43:40] Speaker 4: right now at Tom Talk Gun. In the meantime, go
[43:43] Speaker 4: out and do some shooting, get some training, sign up
[43:44] Speaker 4: for a class, be safe out there, check your six
[43:48] Speaker 4: and never ever be a victim.
